Following on from their inaugural release from A2 & Stopouts, OPIA sublabel Euphoric State welcomes the warm and analogue sounds of evergreen producer, Dan Piu. The Swiss producer is known for propelling vital, and ahead of their time sounds since the early 90’s. The ‘Let’s Come Together’ EP makes no exception as Piu showcases some of his catalogue ranging from 1994 -2020.

The aptly named ‘Bleepy at 5AM kicks off the EP, an early morning energiser with a spring in it’s step. Followed by and crafted in ‘94 is ‘El Viento De La Noche’, four and a half minutes of pure emotive bliss, a raw house vibe from the golden era.

B1 ‘Angry Giant Machine’ glides you through its twists and turns, a glitchy and playful number ready to make you move. ‘Mimic Human Form’ is a cross between modern Italo and mysterious electro, a curious outing with its low swung bassline, and swirling synths. Out of ‘99, and still sounding fresh is ‘Q.H.’, a straight up hip-hop energy, with dusty broken drums and rap samples. A fitting ending to a spectrum of sounds.

Martin Eyerer needs little introduction: a label owner, mastering wizard, radioshow producer with a djing and producing career that spans along 20 years. We are very proud to have him releasing on Metroline Limited. After a mutual appreciation that grew stronger after Martin started supporting a few Metroline and Retrometro tracks on his DJ sets and radio shows, a remix request was followed by the delivery of a track: The Coronator.

Part II of the remix 7 series" of Andy Vaz " Straight Vacationing "LP on Yore. Album Tracks getting a re-work on this little beauty are: "Detroit in me " remixed by Patrice Scott & "Stubnitz" remixed by Memory Foundation. Up first, Patrice Scott strips the "Got a little bit o' Detroit in me" vocal away from the "Detroit in Me" original in order to dazzle the listener with endless flurries of melodic and rhythmic cross-currents. Making good on the Detroit connection, Scott amplifies the tune's Motor City vibe with lavish helpings of synthesizers, claps, and hi-hats and amps up its hard-swinging acid-funk groove in the process. Memory Foundation's B-side version of "Stubnitz" locks solidly into a tight mechano-house pulse at the outset, which frees up all kinds of room for tenor sax player Andreas Pasternack to unleash his high-spirited wail. The treatments sound so good, one can't resist pulling out the original double album to sample its deep house sound all over again.A collectors Item, coming as transparent blue limited 7 for those who show appreciation for both the deep and having it on wax.

Born from the friendship between Luke Solomon and Derrick Carter, Classic is above all else a family label. Creating a platform for artists to satisfy their artistic intentions with left-of-centre house creations, this release sees Classic return to its vinyl-only beginnings for Volume VII of its Label Sampler series.

Kicking off the A-Side, Felix da Housecat and Chris Trucher’s label debut from earlier this year storms through the speakers, as the wonderfully eccentric cut is given an edit by long-term member of the Classic fam Honey Dijon. The glorious sunshine sounds of Carlo’s ‘Perfect Plan’ comes next, where disco, house and funk merge together on this delightful dancefloor number.

On the flip Texan producer JT Donaldson’s blissful groover ‘Stay Inside’ is joined by ‘Music’, where Classic co-founder Luke, Bristolian powerhouse Eats Everything and Lord Leopard (aka Luke Turner) combine their West Country forces for an absolute party-starter of a record.

This sampler is the perfect dose of Classic’s signature grooves that are always full of character, and with all tracks previously unavailable on 12” is not one to be missed.

Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons have released their new track 'Feedback Loop'. This is the latest single to be taken from their forthcoming new album Heart of Sky, out on July 20th through Crosstown Rebels/BMG. Showcasing the warm textures of Jesse Appiah's soulful vocals and the Ancient Moons' top notch production, 'Feedback Loop' already sounds like a classic and is undoubtably one of the album's key moments. The song is about A.I., a conversation between man and machine, and rolls out of the speakers like a 21st Century update of Bristol's Wild Bunch sound system. Remixes for the dancefloor from Bedouin and Serge Devant, plus dubs from the legendary Mad Professor, follow on all formats next month.

Guy Gerber will finally release his much-anticipated rework of Desire’s Don’t Call on vinyl. The track had been a standout in his live sets for months before lock-down, and it has received an incredible reaction.

Gerber’s rework is a stunning interpretation of Desire’s 2012 track. Languid and sultry yet soaring, Gerber’s reimagination of the original hinges on the unique blend of melancholy and euphoria that he has built his career around. It’s fitting that the Israeli producer has turned Megan Louise’s heartbreak tune into one of the summer’s most danceable records, it’s the same contrarian spirit that saw him turn in a break-up album for his instalment in the esteemed fabric mix series.

Salour is a German artist who runs his own esteemed events in Hamburg and has played all over Europe from Watergate in Berlin to Culture Box in Copenhagen. His dub infused style is utterly distinctive and these new cuts prove that once more.

North Scapes opens up with a molten, acid tinged bassline. As it grows more wild there are icy hi hat loops layered in with some big piano chords to finish it in style and mean the floor will really go wild. Liquid Lava is more direct, with hard hitting techno kicks and deft synth sounds colouring in the grooves. Then comes the excellent Urban Signals, a dramatic, dubbier cut with cavernous bottom ends and subtle, supple synths layering in warmth and atmosphere. Last of all, Peter Schumann's LSD25 Restyle of North Scapes pairs it back to a warm, bubbly warm up house tune that will get you moving with its sonar blips and nice, deep cut and churning drums.

All four of these tracks are fresh and classy efforts sure to make their mark.

AZZUR owner, Melokolektiv returns on Galaktika with his first solo vinyl Ep on the imprint 'Where Are You Earth '.

The wait is over as Eric Prydz returns under his Pryda alias to offer up four tracks of classic Pryda gold. Rich in sonic goodness, weighty arps, hard-hitting kicks and swelling synths it's a stand out e.p. for the 39th offering from the Pryda catalogue. As ever, there's an expert exhibition of musicianship and production on display in each of the tracks, a depth of character to the music that will sound monumental on any system they're played on.
Both dark and magical at the same time it's a real journey of a record and is sure to do damage whenever, and wherever, it's dropped.

Sendai is the collaborative project by Yves De Mey and Peter Van Hoesen. Both artists are longtime friends and share a deep passion for exploring the outer limits of the electronic music spectrum. Sendai combines De Mey's skillful extraction of deep and dynamic sounds from his modular synthesizer system with Van Hoesen's keen sense of digital composition and sound design.

Forever ahead of the curve, Matthew Herbert dropped this 3 track EP on Classic all the way back in 1996 and every track featured sounds like it could easily have been released yesterday. Such is the genius of Herbert, always managing to be one step ahead of most other producers, whether it's producing slamming house like 'You got to be moving', rolling emotive electronics like 'Fat king fire' or subtle, shifting percussion confusing jams like 'Housewife' all of his tracks retain this fresh energy that can't be pigeon holed. 'Classic Herbert' is exactly that, a 3 tracker that defies genre, celebrates the eclecticism of it's producer and still manages to be slamming (& classic) in the process! Essential stuff! acques Bon, host of the Smallville record store dependance in Paris debuts Live At Robert Johnson with pure deep house vibes. "Fractals" features two tracks by the Parisian artist and two remixes by Lauer.

Lone and KETTAMA met at Glastonbury festival last year after being booked together for a B2B DJ set.
Although they had never DJ'ed together before their styles complimented each other perfectly and it was only natural that they get in the studio together.

The EP features one collaborative track and an original each from both artists but they way the tracks fit together you could be forgiven for thinking the whole EP was collaborative.

We know at R&S that Lone is capable of creating many different feelings with his music, working alongside KETTAMA seems to have pushed the euphoric, endorphin heightening 4/4 feels to the forefront. In turn KETTAMA reaches for some some synth lines that could have come straight from the Lone playbook. The influence of each artist on the other is plain to see and the results are three killer club tracks that people are going to be hard pushed to pick a favourite from.

“The first time me and Evan met in person was literally 15 minutes before our set together at Glastonbury last year. The set felt so natural and fun - it was clear to me we had the same ear for a vibe then and there - hearing his music for the first time gave me that buzz as well - effortlessly banging and euphoric so it felt right to carry that feeling over for this project. We didn’t need to talk too much or over analyse what we were doing, it was just about catching that vibe that I think connects our solo music so strongly. Evan is a beast producer, his music is some of the most exciting club music out there so it was a total honour to collaborate on this EP - and for it to land on R&S is a huge deal for the both of us… This project is about having fun, catching a vibe - total escapism exactly what we need at this time.”

Mathias Schaffhäuser's fourth collection of remixes will be released in March and April 2015 in an exceptionally lavish way. Two vinyl EPs, each with an additional CD, will be released 4 weeks apart. The vinyls will feature the clubbiest tracks, which also will be on the CDs (some of them in uncut original versions), flanked by a handful of more subtle and experimental tunes, making 17 tracks in all.

Nasser Baker’s talent precedes him. A handpicked protégé of Dennis Ferrer, the blossoming talent is now carving his own niche in the house space. His ascension continues today with the release of ‘Tribes Of The Metronome,’ marking his DIRTYBIRD debut.

“Tribes Of The Metronome” uses sputtering bass and distorted vocals to make its impact, maintaining a consistent, yet driving pace that keeps energy levels high from start to finish. “About You” sees Baker laying on the heavy grooves, with a reverberated bassline, off-kilter synths, and crisp hi hats joining together with its vocal elements for a tech house piece with a classic flair. Beyond his work with Dennis Ferrer, Nasser Baker’s keen ear for house has been recognized by plenty of industry greats. The second part of the 'Rude Movements' series brings you further adventures into the world of dance music from the past and present.

It covers percussive space trance, roaring synth jams to stab-driven and flute-infused house workouts and dubby breakbeat steppers, all happily dancing under one roof.

Watergate favourites Frankey & Sandrino make a timely debut on the club’s imprint, with a classy remix by Tiefschwarz in toe.

If you’ve found yourself at the Oberbaumbrücke institution on a Thursday in recent years, chances are Frankey & Sandrino were responsible for the soundtrack. The pair of Sandrino Tittel and Frank Beckers have captained the Thursdate residency since 2018, serving up a beguiling blend of deep grooves and twinkling chords progressions.

The four-track ‘Nova’ EP is the embodiment of this immersive sonic palette. ‘Chimes’ is built around a strong melodic lead that rises and falls throughout the lustrous seven-minute cut, as lilting pads and delicate drums patterns complete the work. The title track follows on, a delicious exploration into the deep, as subtle acid lines rub shoulders with meandering synths to build a masterful snake-like groove.

Tiefschwarz’s remix of ‘Chimes’ brings heat to the package as the original is imbued with a muscular percussive heartbeat. ‘Black Hole’ is a sweeping composition made for the after-hours as a searing lowend synth is juxtaposed with an effervescent melody line to create an atmosphere-heavy finale.

 Following the success of his recent Kompakt single "Somewhere," John Tejada returns to his own Palette Recordings imprint with "Anaphora." After a series of collaborative projects with fellow artists, Tejada distinguishes "Anaphora" as his first solo release on Palette since 2009 and presents a double headliner of his trademark musicality and driving rhythms, delivering a set of two eruptive grooves with a focus that has earned Tejada the respect of both listeners and peers alike.
"Anaphora" continues where John's 2006 smash "The End Of It All" left off, showcasing Tejada's trademark use of hopeful melodies and emotive sequences. It highlights his undeniable quality of crafting arrangements that rise above monotony.
Continuing where Tejada's "Mono On Mono" and "Eurotunnel" left off, "Bode's law" explores a darker, more driving side of the two songs. Furious analog synths and drums orbit each other in syncopation to create an engaging rhythm that is hypnotic and inspiring.

Setting the tone with the first release on Lossless in the new year 2020 is co-owner and omnitalented Mathias Schober.
Mathias is opening LL1222 with the title track „The Fall“ on which he invited Jas of the duo Atelier for a vocal appearance showing a new side of his unique voice.
The sparse instrumentation of the the track, built around handclap rhythms, creates the perfect fundament for the vocal highlights. Additional snare drum and synth hits will do the rest to make you move.
Second track of the EP, “Will Make A Difference” sure does make a difference. It’s a 4/4 not 4/4 kinda track with an ever growing huge synth sound that takes you all the way to the middle part where it bursts into emptiness leaving space for some fierce
bass tones. The track has a certain pop-appeal to it but doesn’t at the same time. This doesn’t make sense at all? Just give it a listen and you’ll know. The third and final track is an instrumental version of “The Fall”. A simple reduction.
The essence of beautifully crafted rhythms and synth atmospheres. It simply feels right.

We are honoured to begin our label's story with the master of the groove Yvan Genkins. He drops 2 dancefloor tracks with a remix by the young Anthony Megaro. With a career that's seen releases on the biggest tech house labels, Yvan is an expert of crazy drum and rolling basslines.

When experience teams up with new talent, the result can positively surprising. Borgò and Nicolas Duvoisin found some common ground in the deeper shades of the electronic world. White box is a lovely balanced contrast between loops of hypnotic keys and twisted vocal confusion, carried along by a solid dry compact driving beat. No need to introduce mister Johnny D that graces with a gorgeous delicate smooth rework, shining more light and a contemplative feeling on the original, yet incorporating its groovey glitchy elements and quirky quality.

Dutch-Carribean stars Shermanology debut on Hot Creations with the tremendous three-track Bon Bini EP. The release continues an outstanding 2020 for the brother-sister pairing, which has seen them collaborate with The Martinez Brothers already this year.

The title track, Bon Bini, kicks off proceedings in a no-nonsense fashion, as a pumping lead kick merges with latin-inspired vocal cuts. The lengthy breakdown builds a party atmosphere, as rustling hats provide an up-tempo feel. OK - Cool - Aight feat. ConQuer Jones comes next, with its uplifting piano rolls and wonderful vocal solo courtesy of the lead vocalist who tells us to “make the best of what life has to offer.” Breathe feat. Agent Sasco rounds off the EP. A straight-up club cut, the kick-hat blend is irresistibly danceable, building on an underlying bassline that features Agent Sasco’s whispering lyrics underneath.

Hailing from the beautiful Dutch-Carribean island of Curacao, brother-and-sister duo Shermanology have become one of electronic music’s most well-loved and well-known pairings releasing on the likes of Defected and Dirtybird. Hailing from Amsterdam, Melawati, also known as Melawati Modular, is a composer, sound designer, avid lover of modular synths, and an experimental live electronic music artist making his debut on Ellum Audio. His beautiful single also features two astounding remixes by the maestro and label head Maceo Plex and melancholic masters Tale of Us.

The excellent 'Daliah' is a smooth and seductive journey through lush melody and productive synth work. Those synths come in various forms, from fluid smears to more pixelated stabs. The restless breakbeats below his humming tunes add to the sense of adventure as you race through the cosmos on the galactic journey Melawati has created.

Maceo Plex steps up to remix, with a version that has tense, textured chord vamps, punchy kicks, and enigmatic twinkling keys raining down from above. It is epic and cinematic and a perfect fit for his always far-gazing label.

Finally, the acclaimed Italian duo treats us with their excellent remix. Tale of US flip the cut into a spacious melodic techno track with dramatic breakdowns, big chord builds, and a cruising groove that will carry the auditor into the next dimension.

In 2012 Paul Kalkbrenner released the very succesful single - Das Gezabel' from his current album - Guten Tag'. For the inclusion within the brandnew remix album which is ready for summer 2014 the by choice Berliners Pan-Pot picked this track for their remix. After joining Paul Kalkbrenner for his 2013 world tour they deliver a classic piece of Pan-Pot prodcuction which means elegant high-end techno, straight and direct to your head and for the dancefloor. The characteristic melodic lines from the original show up every now and then making a nice counterpart to the heavy bass & beat orgy created by Pan-Pot for this futuristic approach towards techno.

Back in 2005 Paul Kalkbrenner released his Rave Anthem - Gebrünn Gebrünn' fort he very first. Since then the track has graced the soundtrack of the - Berlin Calling' film and is now ready for a - Maertini Broes' Remix for the upcoming Paul Kalkbrenner Remix Album. This gem from Paul Kalkbrenner's catalogue gets the 2014 Remixtreatment by the Berlin Techno/House Legends DJ Clé and Mike Vamp. In an excellent way they use an epic stringarrangement and complete restructured arrangement of the original elements based on the well known Hookline for this great remix.

Apollo is a new concept project from me, spread across 3 EPs which throw back to the 90s melodic Techno and Progressive Trance sound. Although my roots are firmly in Breakbeat-Rave, I was also captivated by the big room sound of labels like R&S, Guerilla, Hard Hands and Sven Väth’s Harthouse from that same period of time. My studio is full of old equipment that fuelled that original European sound so I quickly found myself focussing on a bunch of tracks that are heavily influenced by some really special music that often gets forgotten." An integral part of the OPIA family from its early stages, and long time resident, Audri delivers their eighth release. ‘Tappo Di Ferro’ stretches across unexplored territory, making this a refreshing offering from the label. Opener, ‘Background Radiation’ steers through the synonymous rave energy we have come to the love from the label, chunky drums meeting with twists and bleeps. ‘Ihr Lied’ kicks off the deeper vibe, with distinct synths carrying the track. A different flavour with ’Zisco United’ upbeat, minimal flair, with a squiggling bass line funk! ‘Like A Train’ on the B side runs like a dream, ready for hazy mornings on dance floors again. Closing the EP is an intelligently arranged, sub heavy monster from the Italian entitled ‘9 Evolution’. It is no surprise the Demut founder has nailed this turn out on his closely affiliated OPIA Records. This marks his third outing on the label, previously found on VA’s ‘Elektropia’ and ‘Lyla’s World’ with single tracks, ‘Tappo Di Ferro’ marks his debut solo release on the imprint.

Following his joint drop with Denham Audio, Bristol's Borai fires up the third installment of his Higher Level label with another two precision-tooled rave bombs. Building on a catalogue 10 years deep and a versatile production style that spans deep house, techno, garage and breakbeat, Borai has been busy feeding his heavyweight productions into the scene via his Club Glow project (also with Denham Audio) - first as a mixtape in 2018 and now expanding to encompass events too. As with much of his recent work, HL003 leans heavily on early rave tropes re-figured for flexible assimilation into open-ended, genre-agnostic club music zeitgeist. "Carpet Bagger" has a propulsive 4/4 thrust, but its nightmarish bass drops and stabs are pure darkside. "Sanctuary" (surely shouting out the seminal '90s Milton Keynes spot) takes a sweeter direction - silky smooth chords and diva vocal licks riding over a rolling Hot Pants break. This is classically informed rave tackle given a gleaming finish - heavy in the low end and bright on top for maximum devastation in the dance. Take note too - HL003 also welcomes a new artist into the fold for the sleeve design, Nuff Gal. The Bristol-based illustrator perfectly captures the playful energy of Borai's productions, ushering in a striking new aesthetic for Higher Level.^

Serenity Records is a new not-for-profit record label, aimed at raising essential awareness on the growing epidemic of mental health within the music industry, whilst also donating all proceeds of its project to various mental health charities. One of the key features of the project is to allow the artists commissioned for each EP to have the opportunity to select the particular charity that their work will support. So for 001, John Shima & Mihail P's EP will support the work of Music Minds Matter - a charity unquestionably leading the way in making a difference to mental health issues in the music industry. As is the Pleasure Planet remix by herself and longstanding friends Andrew Potter and Brian Hersey as they bring on their atomic energy with fresh vocal samples, guitar, and cosmic flare you’d expect from such a hedonistic NYC gang. Deeper into the shoot we strut: ‘Shake The Bones’ is the dog-walking equivalent of a run on an unfettered, unpeopled, unlimited coastline. The elements. The energy. Bruno Schmidt's Domesticated imprint returns with its third release, heralding the comeback of noughties minimal house hero Marc Ashken. Under his new alias SHKN, he's already presented a couple of EPs on London's Subsequent, in addition to releasing tracks recently as Thread and Lost Property (with Ben Micklewright). The track titles on 003 display what's possibly his original date of creation, we're just pleased they didn't just got stuck on his hard drive. Starting off with a curveball in the form of off-kilter electro funk jam "01_06_17" it is soon business as usual from this stalwart of the minimal scene: from the hypnotic and bass-driven afterhours groove of "9_9_2015" to the quirky and reductionist glitch funk of "10_10_16". Welcome back, Mr Ashken!

He said he couldn’t remember when he actually first did it…when he first traveled through time. In fact, he didn’t seem very sure of anything. What he did describe in great detail was the first time he saw her. “Pieces of a smile dancing with the reflections of a passing ship,” he said, deciding to hold on to that moment for as long as he could. He’s done this before. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes it didn’t, reluctantly joining everything in a slow and somber march towards nothing. He said, “I don’t know how long it’s been.” I still don’t believe him. I think he’s just getting used to his new life. I think he’s just getting used to dating in space.

Paris based label Rose Et Rosée is proud to present the first solo EP from artist BATAILLE. This second release from RER is a self-contained universe that fits into the label's open-minded, experimental style. Veteran of the Parisian club scene, BATAILLE has risen through the ranks of several house and minimal labels with his group Antislash (Circus Company) as well as joining forces with trans-genre labels such as Silicate to release solo work under the name John Merrick. With this EP he delivers two tracks that share the same tone but differ in intention. Like two sculptures crafted from the same material, these pieces use a common tool to reveal two distinct aspects of the artist's psyche. The spirit of the record is eminently sensitive and in this respect Bataille develops a panorama of emotions to illustrate his narrative, culminating in two poems that are a reminder of howtechno can tell a story as well as make people dance. A1: DUB CONNECTION relates an aching surge in a deluge of chanting, heady synths. The loops emerge from the track in search of a summit that doesn't appear, and this restraint, this melancholic pressure, is vertiginous like the insatiable moments of adolescence. In a confusion of grace and hostility, DUB CONNECTION bellows out that all is lost yet the game was still worth playing. A2: ACID DIRTY LIFE is another vicious spiral. But unlike the internal storm of DUB CONNECTION, this is an acid hurricane that threatens the world and its inhabitants. Turbulent rhythms bid us to a tropical communion where the seasons favor techno that is hot and heavy.

Och's release rate has been sturdy since he first emerged in 2010, but he's hitting his stride like never before as he follows up last year's Time Tourism album with a new long player for his own Autoreply label. All the hallmarks of his sound are in place, from intricate and delicate melodic threads to immersive house, tech house and techno rhythms, all draped in the kind of atmospheric finery that can't fail to transport you to otherworldly places. Detroit bred / LA based producer Kenny Larkin has long been a force to be reckoned with, both in the studio and in the DJ booth. His 'Vanguard EP' from 1992 was released under the name POD, another of his aliases used for the deep sonic exploration of Techno that he undertook, thus changing the face of modern electronic music right up to this day. Featured here is the full '92 EP with the addition of another POD rarity entitled 'Chinese Checkers', lifted from a compilation a number of years later. The music contained within this 2 x 12" reissue should not be understated, this is pure, unadulterated Detroit Techno sounds of the highest order. A truly staggering collection of music that somehow transcends the decades since it's release 20+ years ago and still sounds forward thinking today. Like the majority of Larkin's music, this deserves the highest possible spot on your record shelf, a true classic of the genre and every single home should have one. No snoozing.
