Next up for 8-Bit records, Nick Curly delves into his back catalogue and adds a timely polish to ‘The Voodoo’ and ‘No Takers’ two tracks which were favourites of his in the past few years. Remix support is the new addition to this release, which comes from Audiojack and Marco Faraone, both making their debut on 8BIT.

‘The Voodoo’ was a track which originally dropped back in 2016 to critical acclaim for its dark synths and techno energy. “No Takers is the favourite of my own tracks of recent years. I know Marco Faraone since the early days of Cecille and I’ve wanted to reconnect with him for some time. I was curious about his techno version of this number” says Nick.

Equally, ‘No Takers’ which came out a little later in 2018 was championed by a cross-section of luminaries such as Roger Sanchez, Hot Since 82 and Sharam. “With the Voodoo remix, I wanted this in a housier direction and I love what the Audiojack boys have been doing recently in that world, so I am happy I got them on this release, the remix is just perfect”..


Audiojack’s interpretation of ‘The Voodoo’ carefully crafts a modern vibe really teasing out the vocal elements with stripped back percussion, tribal touches and those infamous stabs. Whilst Marco Faraone turns ‘No Takers’ into a chunky groover that will hit all the right spots.

The broadcasting of electronic music and club culture are the values that Studio76 has created. This diffusion is reflected in the launch of the Studio76Music label, which will include already established and emerging artists from the purest electronic underground scene.

The second release of the label, Curioso EP is made by RAY OKPARA and includes remixes by FEDERICO MOLINARI and MONIKA ROSS.

Ray Okpara, The German artist is characterized by his hypnotic house rhythms, with hip-hop, funky and soul influences that make his sound unique. With a very strong percussion, all wrapped in a deep atmosphere that makes his music transmit a feeling. His productions are a guarantee of success on the dancefloor.
Federico Molinari is the representative of the fusion between Argentine and German sound. He combines sounds that go from techno to house-minimal, with melodic and vocal rhythms creating unique sensations with his music.

Monika Ross has a difficult type of music to categorize, because of its great versatility. Deep blunt sounds, with a lot of groove but following an elegant and subtle minimal line.

The Tiefschwarz boys have just struck musical gold with their latest offering for Souvenir, a fresh EP delivered by the electro trailblazer named Bolz Bolz (Germany's Andreas Bolz) who's done more for underground music than you probably realize. 'Practice Paris' is a 4-track EP which dives into the murky, broken beat and techno tinted territory Mr. Bolz has honed to perfection - with each track tried and tested from the Souvenir Crew to stunning result. 'Dollars Pounds Euro' starts the release out in style with a brooding electro monster high in energy and mood. Gritty sampled vocals sit on top of crisp percussion whilst a truly evil, heavy bassline blankets the track in robotic soul. Detroit hero Kris Wadsworth (Breed / Ultramajic) twists the original version of 'Dollar Pound Euro' into an absolute monster of a track with a steady techno 4/4 punch underneath some of the heaviest clouds of intense synths we've ever heard. Boston Native Soren Jahan (aka Line Cook) provides the remix of 'Practice Paris' with a loose fitting and low-slung house interpretation full of quirky samples and unexpected percussive programming. The remix captures the vibe of a live jam session to absolute quality result. Andreas Bolz is the co-founder of the infamous electro label Electrocord and has spent the past few decades helping shapeshift a unique twist of underground dance music hugely influenced by Techno, Krautrock, Electro, and Experimental sound. His latest offering for Souvenir is a result of over 70 releases and experience entertaining masses around the globe with his signature forward thinking electro and techno aesthetic.

Christian Smith & John Selway are back with the third and most powerful edition of "Count Zero". "Stamina" is a proper rave bomb with relentless energy. "The Distance" showcases their musical techno side which they are known for.

Our friend Filou makes his very first appearance on the label with a very smooth original named Sonar45. The bass and kick answer each other nicely forming a strong core to build upon. The rising strings, pads and loops bring a positive classic housey quality while the ever evolving synth stabs keep up the groove. This one is clearly all about balance and sound placement. On the remix, we are priviledged to welcome Christian Burkhardt with a really nice, slightly more uplifting take on Sonar45, adding in some percussion and really effective 303 synth loop. Jackin’ house with a hip-house edge from Italian producer Lonely, who recently started popping up on the radar of a number of tastemakers around the globe. Drumcode regular Tiger Stripes was one who early saw the potential and picked up “1994”, which as a rare treat gets the Tiger Stripes Remix treatment.

Trademark Tiger Stripes techno mixed up with some red hot 90’s rave breaks takes this track into a whole new dimension, and together with the Original Mix, that’s already getting hammered by Loco Dice, it makes up a pretty neat package.

Following Stil & Bense`s glorious debut release - Mr. Pink' on Perlekind Records in 2016 - it came with great pleasure for the label makers Romeofoxtrott to team up & compose this fine 4-track split EP. - Bergauf / Bergab' kicks off with 2 deep, melodic and playful original tracks joined by 2 drivingly blasting remixes - indeed will be available in digital and vinyl.

Frendzone returns with another split EP featuring tracks from Violet and Denham Audio.

Attempt to find a convenient musical pigeon-hole for Zapatilla and you'll find him slipping from your grasp and zig-zagging in unexpected yet compelling directions. His transcendent debut EP comprises two ambitious, shapeshifting tracks. Initially, opener Crumbling Down suggests a dance-floor focused blueprint, before its arrangement of percussion and classical instruments come into focus around the 3 minute mark, the result is a steadfastly organic and emotional opus. Its sister track Thumb Piano is a more abstract affair, with its eclectic instrumentation anchored to a palette of synths and electronica.

Fuse London have cemented their place in the worldwide underground with an unwavering belief in the DJ and production talents of an extended network of friends and they once again hit gold with Antony Difrancesco and Samuel Bellis dB Productions EP - 87-88 kicks things off with a distinctly Fuse-esque sound, a hazy tripped out groove and spoken female vocal ride a raw jungle tinged b-line.

Bartellow has long been associated with the ESP Institute though Tambien, a trio formed alongside Bavarian cohorts Marvin and Valentino, who have released seminal dancefloor material over recent years. With his debut album Panokorama, we are invited into a completely different world of Bartellow's creation—a place where influences become a melting pot of mood, nuance and texture, and where instrumentation is abstracted from a variety of cultures, including those that exist solely within his imagination. Bartellow has found a way to merge Primitivism with Retrofuturism, identifying their point of intersection and reveling in their union across ten songs. While his academic background as a Jazz musician certainly informs both his progressive approach to composition and non-linear production, it is his obsession with electronics and synthesis that shape his current musical climate. The title Panokorama stems from Bartellow's visualization of the album, a surreal landscape with a foreign presence centrally embedded, a 'panorama' punctuated by a 'ko'—although a hybrid word that reads as nonsense, it somehow feels and sounds just right.

Justin Strauss and Max Pask have joined up to form the new project Each Other, who will release their self-titled debut EP ‘Be Nice To Each Other’ on February 7th, 2020 via Soulwax/2manydjs label DEEWEE. While Strauss and Pask have DJ’d together on numerous occasions, this is the first time that they’ve collaborated on a production project.

The EP finds Each Other creating an eclectic range of sounds in the space of just three tracks. The opener ‘Same As It Never Was’ is the most immediate of the set, becoming more hypnotic as the minimalist topline buries itself into your subconscious. The downtempo ‘Burn It Down’ then darkens the mood, feeling closer to a dystopian sci-fi soundtrack than an underground club classic, before the playful and progressive ‘Six Weeks’ up the energy with jittering beats, sparkling synths and a cooly understated vocal.

“What we were trying to do and what we’ve hopefully achieved was to merge our influences with a nod to what many consider to be the ‘golden age’ of New York,” explains Justin Strauss. “You don’t realise that these periods were becoming important markers in history when we were living through them. It only comes later with the added benefit of time. I hope that in years to come, history will find a place for what we’re doing now” - Each Other.

As with all DEEWEE releases, ‘Be Nice To Each Other’ was recorded produced and mixed at DEEWEE.

Rekids offshoot Stranger in The Night welcomes renowned underground mainstay Fred P for an incredible release complete with his signature depth.

Fred P ended 2019 under his Black Jazz Consortium alias with an album full of the lush musicality and worldly deep house grooves he’s known best for. His own name is reserved for more driving, club focused sounds, however, and in the past, he’s released on Secretsundaze, Finale Sessions, Mule Musiq, his now defunct Soul People imprint, not to mention his more recently minted Perpetual Sound. Few can nail a groove as heavy and hypnotic as this Berlin-based New Yorker, and the four tracks here highlight that once more.

'Turn Up' is built on immovable kick drums that roll and roll beneath a dark nebula of synths and pads. There is the atmospheric feel of factory floor automation in the groove and it never lets up. The lush 'Alphabet City' is less heavy, with more bright and cosmic pads lighting up a track that is airy and filled with a subtle sense of funk. 'Construction' takes things late into the night once more, with an edgy lead that is unsettling and paranoid as it pans about over a rooted kick drum that will lock the floor into a state of hypnosis. 'For The Dome' closes this fantastically compelling release with jittery, percussive drums that are softened by celestial synth work. In harmony, they make for perfectly escapist listening.

This is irresistible dance floor dynamite for those who like it deep.

Steel City Dance Discs Volume 13 emits four club-ready contaminants courtesy of Jasper James. On the A-side, Jasper breaks protocol with an unregulated meld of house and techno; deep freqs, virulent chords and a toxic vocal cut are detected. And on the flip side, object blue and Mall Grab give ‘Still Trippin’ an appropriate treatment of high-energy euro-rave. Dispose of this release properly – volume up.

Romanian raised Paco Wegmann and French artist Sirus Hood collaborate to unleash the high-octane Rip Tide, featuring their inspirations of the seminal Chicago House movement, released on Hot Creations this January.

Rip Tide launches into a jackin bassline, a frenzied vocal sample drops into an addictive loop interjected with rolling claps and classic rave-soaked synth that doesn’t let you catch your breath. On Rush Hour the intensity continues, sumptuous sub-bass combines with an unfurling arrangement of hi-hats and tightly executed synth that will release endorphins on the dance floor.

Romanian newcomer Paco Wegmann’s sound is based on a solid diet of 909, Chicago and Detroit records. Already with releases on Hottrax, Elrow, Viva Music, Kwench, Savor to name a few, expect plenty more to come from this talented producer who sees electronic music as a culture rather than a trend. Sirus Hood started his DJ career at the age of 18, becoming a regular DJ at the best Parisian clubs.

A self-taught producer, his music was initially picked up by the likes of Amine Edge & DANCE’s CUFF and Claude VonStroke’s Dirtybird. Following DJ residencies at Sankeys Ibiza, Eden Ibiza, Ministry of Sound London and both Social Club and Showcase in Paris, his talents were fully displayed to audiences across the globe.

Today he continues to spend countless hours in the studio and his diverse range of music can be found on Rawthentic, Cajual, Sola, Wow! And Under No Illusion.

Further excursions of one of the most dedicated producers of Vancouver in the early 90s: Pilgrims Of The Mind. Three tracks coming out of the sweet sonic brew that was cooking on the West Coast at the time: elements of techno, ethno, downtempo and general smoked-out trippyness abound.

Tessellate's final EP of the year comes from T. Jacques, who off the back of releases on DJ Steaw's House Puff and his own Nuances De Nuit comes through for the fifth release on the London label.

Featuring 2 Originals & 3 Remixes, the packed record covers a broad range of musical styles. For the Track 'Les Bois' by T. Jacques, takes channels the super fun 90's fueled Tech House inspired revival coming through at the moment to create a driving house track. Katsu runs in a similar vein however with more of an electro influence.

For the remixes Bade Record's Tape Fear give us a completely different take on the title track, bringing in their signature breaks sound for a heavy rework. Samo, affilaited with the hotly tipped Squeeze The Lemon, provide a weird and wonderul version of the original.

This (insert month) FUSE London's sister label, Infuse, returns with the seventh installment of the series with three superior house deviations from Wigbert, Motif and Pelle & Roon aimed squarely at those in the know.

First up is Wigbert and his track 'Bongo Bongo' lives up to its name as it is a percussive journey through various rhythms. Next up is Motif who delivers the excellent rolling house number 'Inner' which features a dubby bass line, with an intermittent wailing vocal and perfectly executed stabs. 'Gida' by Pelle & Roon rounds off the EP in fine style. It is another low-slung house number characterized by deep bass and warm chords washing against more mechanical sounds.

This seventh installment is another sterling addition to the famed Infuse series. All the artists on offer here showcase their distinct sounds and styles and despite effortlessly slotting into that loved Infuse sound, their differing personalities shine through. Essential.

The 13th release on GIANT is a various artists EP – this is VOL 1 and VOL 2 will follow later in the year. This EP features tracks from three exceptional new breed producers and one band who have been making waves for well over ten years now. This release joins up artists from across Europe and Russia. First up is CLAUDIO IACONO who hails from Italy. Then its PYSH who is from Poland followed by Russia’s ANTON LANSKI then last but no way least is Bulgaria’s ABYFACECLAN – The four tracks range from after hours deep techno to sublime deep house and BABYFACECLAN’S track has an Andy Weatherall flavour to it. Only 300 pressed.

London duo Wax On Mare St. debut on Infuse this November with their ‘Perceptions’ EP, backed by a remix from Mennie. Formed in 2015 by London-based duo James Puentes and Jordan Mina (MIINA), the Wax On Mare St. guise has quickly become a rising name of note within the city’s ever-evolving house scene, with releases to date on imprints including Blind Vision, Roush and most recently, E1even Records, appearances across the likes of fabric, Studio9294 and Eastern Electrics, and a monthly slot on East London’s Netil Radio. Following on from a busy summer of gigs, mid-November welcomes a debut on FUSE sister imprint Infuse as the duo touch down on the label with Italian talent Mennie also stepping up on remix duties for his first appearance on the label. The bubbling ‘Round Up’ kicks things off as the duo combine rich chords alongside low-slung bass patterns, hooky vocal samples and slick hats, whilst ‘Pepper & Spice’ lays the focus on skipping percussion and hazy synths throughout. Next, sci-fi electronics and further bright chord melodies go to work throughout the laidback ‘Maximum Highness’, before Mennie’s up-front, energy-driven interpretation of the lead track rounds out proceedings with authority.

After the ‘Eterna Procrastinacion’ EP from Michelle and Muten, UK’s OPIA turns our heads towards another fine cut, this time calling on Nemo Vachez, and Two Phase U.

Recent times see French artist Nemo come in to his own, and here is no exception. Kicking off proceedings with ‘Autopillot’, seducing you with spaced out rhythms, and a bouncing organ complimenting the low end. ‘Love From Jupiter’ does not wait to deliver mysterious tones, and stirring drums, being lead to the unknown before the acid lift off.

Two Phase U keep the momentum going after his release on Andrew James Gustav’s, Marginal Returns earlier this year. Electro freaking in ’Time is Like Sand Through Your Fingers’, progressing naturally setting an atmospheric mood on any dance floor with its broken sound. Chunky driven slabs take the lead in ‘Yolocreo’, warping you one last time in to the OPIA whirlwind.

Curious sounds as always from the ever growing imprint, showing no signs of stopping any time soon.

The legendary WildFlower Records repressed the 001 Plastic Project - 7 A.M., a real manifesto of Italo Deep House Music movement proudly made back in 1993 by the Italian pioneers Alex Neri and Marco Baroni.
Stunning melodies with a groovy mediterranean touch that helped to define the "house" sound of the 90s.
The EP is fatten by a juicy Re-Shape from the Italian producers Giovanni Verrina and Germano Ventura, they kept the original classic house vibes with in addition a dusty acid rolling 303 which is a brilliant fusion of pitched-down rave and comforting housy style.

WRECKS024 comes live and direct from Psy Def X, a new production project delivered directly from the minds of studio partners Luca Lozano and Tornado Wallace. Featuring proto-progressive rhythms and early trancin' flavours, the EP ranges from unabashedly bigroom to tripped out rainforest ambience and incorporates the early influences of a genre and sound that was both exciting and inventive

Loco Dice's Desolat label serves up a huge package here from Russia's finest underground house and techno production and DJ export, Tripmastaz. His four track EP is a testament to his ability to cook up chunky club groves that cannot fail to make their mark. That is immediately proven with title track Wax Mania", a bulky techno roller with monstrous kicks, raved up synth stabs and knocking percussion that all invite you to stomp along to the groove before some jazzy chords enter the mix and funk things up. Taped Chrome' was written and recorded in one session, was recorded straight to tape and is an angst ridden, edgy peak time cut with coarse claps, loud, alarm-like synths and grumbling bass that will rattle the walls of any club. The perfectly dark and consuming Till Melted' has pinging rubber kicks swaying beneath all sorts of withering and whirring synth lines and is a perfect freak out tune. Full of mischief and intensity with lots of subtle effects all adding to the tension, it is one that will get fists pumping in any set. Finally, F What You Heard' is a deeper house cut with a synth line that rises and falls in loudness, sucking you in as it goes whilst blocky drums stomp out a thick groove. This is effective, solid dancing music that is also hugely fun from the Russian star. Enjoy.

Californian mudular synthesizer and audio wuipment producter Tiptop Audio is proud to introduce a new project for 2015: Tiptop Audio Records. In the recent years musical productions have seen a remarkable return to the use of hardware through analog synthesizers and digital control interfaces. This trend has proven so strong that it prompted a rebirth of modular synths in a new format (eurorack). Tiptop Audio has made a name producing sophisticated but easy to use modules, designed to form a complete system that is especially effective for dance-oriented productions and live sets. Tiptop Audio Records selected for its first issue some of the most groundbreaking artists using such systems, to present a range of artists who, through their tracks, explore the landscape of dance music in a very fresh perspective. These are the artists who inspire the Tiptop team to make more innovative devices, which in turn make new music (a nice feedback loop). ANGLE, BLAWAN, CHRISTIAN BURKHARDT JOAO CESER, JOHN TEJADA, JOSEPH FRAIOLI, MOE ESPINOSA (DRUMCELL), KINK, RICHARD DEVINE and SURGEON each contribute a track stamped with their own style and vision. After the soft landing of Banoffee Pies Records latest sub label venture OTAKU, the imprint continues following the theme of subtle compositions with the second edition, this time from Swedish born Vilhelm with 'Mermaid Porn'. Cooper Saver is a Los Angeles based DJ and producer responsible for the Far Away party, cassette mixtape series, and radio show on Dublab. For the last 6+ years, Cooper has consistently brought unique and underrated talent from abroad for his late-night warehouse party while also regularly traveling around the world to DJ. As a producer, Cooper maintains a steady flow of remixes - recognized most for frequent remixes on DFA Records. As of late, Cooper's original music is finally starting to surface - starting with a debut full EP on Permanent Vacation. Coastal Breeze is a collection of tracks Cooper produced at home in LA over the last year or so, aimed at the late night dance floor with an injection of California sunshine. The 120th vinyl release on Moon Harbour is given over to one of the label’s current crop of stars, namely UK Tech House titan wAFF.

It has been a couple of years since wAFF’s last solo release, and it just happened to be on this label. Since then he has gone on to become a frequent headliner at Ibiza’s biggest parties, always serving up big, rolling techno sets that have established him as one of the world’s most prominent DJs. To have him back on the label with three fresh new tracks after some time away from the studio is a coup indeed.

Opener and title track ‘Sunmood’ is a tightly coiled affair with razor sharp hits and drums making for a lively groove. Weird sound effects, freaky dehumanised vocals and a soulful female all add great details that really get under your skin.

Then comes ‘Jakk’, a perfectly punchy house track with knotted bass rally having a great effect. Again the percussion is crisp and slick and the whole thing makes for muscular house music that the club will simply not be able to ignore, especially thanks to the anthemic spoken word vocal line.

Last of all is the excellently tribal-tinged ’Tropica’, a ten minute epic with gliding tech grooves and a bizarre lead sample that will get terraces and festival crowds going wild. It’s a playful, off-kilter tune, much like one of wAFF’s own sets, and is another standout production from the man.

These are three more charismatic cuts of club-ready weapons from the always reliable wAFF.

Velvet Season & The Hearts Of Gold remix 'Computer Controlled', one of the stand out tracks from the album. The Velvet Season duo of Joel Martin and Gerry Mooney have some serious musical pedigree between them, with Joel also recording as Quiet Village alongside Radioslave and Gerry previously working with DJ Harvey on his infamous Black Cock releases.
Their three 12" releases to date on their own Lucky Hole label all sold out instantly resulting in the inevitable Discogs frenzy. The remix of 'Computer Controlled' is a timeless piece of melancholic house with a Chi Town bassline topped off with Trumpet, Keys and the mesmerising melody from the original. An undoubted future classic!
On the flip the Midnight Special rework 'Beat On The Drum'. Midnight Special have released two Vinyl Only 12" to date and are made up of Ex-Peace Division man Justin Drake and Tsuba boss Kevin Griffiths. The resulting mix is groove heavy underground house made with the panache & depth you would expect from the veterans of the UK house scene.

Never serving up anything less than essential and hugely interesting projects, next on the radar for Opilec Music is this classic Italo disco, Chicago house and techno leaning package from pioneers Klein & M.B.O.

The exciting new package will be released on every wax freak's favourite day - April 19th aka Record Store Day 2014.

'Last Call' is a demo track the label boss, I-Robots has had in his arsenal for 12 years. Previously released on the first I-Robots We Are Opilec V.A. compilation, the "demo track" now gets revisited by electronic greats I-Robots, Gene Hunt & Headman/Robi Insinna.

Back in the 80s, influential DJ and record collector I-Robots was key in introducing the world to Italo disco and was always hugely inspired and influenced by the seminal Klein & M.B.O duo. 'Last Call' was originally written and produced by Alessandro & Davide Piatto (a member of the band N.O.I.A, Davide is the essential element that coproduced all the Klein & M.B.O. tracks including the De-Ja-Vu album in 1982 as well as many others.)

The 'European Connection Unreleased Instrumental' mix of 'Last Call' is an electric bit of proto house and Italo disco with arpeggiated melodies shooting across its face, electro-like drums and a down and dirty bassline propping the whole thing up. Full of energy and bright lines, it's a truly feel good affair.

I-Robots turns in two mixes, the first adds more reverb and reimagines the track as a slightly deeper, more late night affair, whilst the second adds more weight to the drums so they bang that bit harder, generating a truly jackin' Chicago vibe (Take II version was a highlight on the recent 'Balance EP').

Chicago and Trax legend Gene Hunt rebuilds the track in his 'Pleasure Dome Mix' from the bottom up making it a deeper, more surfing bit of house music with analogue percussion & spraying retro synth lines, this is a subtle shade of the original. His second version, the '2210 S Michigan Mix', is a more ragged affair where the pixelated synth lines
shoot about like spirits in the night, the title is taken from the location of the last Music Box in Chicago where Gene Hunt and Ron Hardy played.



Finally, Headman aka Robi Insinna has been producing for more than a decade on labels like Gomma and his own Relish imprint uses his remix to up the disco quotient: his synths shoot like lasers and the arpeggiated bassline rasps away at the centre of the track in all its glory.

The three tracks of my Synthérapie EP all spin in the same sound universe: a modern approach of simple dance music. Émission' is a little more aggressive than the other tracks. Its melody and break rhythm are very bright. Visions' is the most narrative in terms of synths, the most laid back of the three but very breaky as well. And finally, Réfraction' ends the story with a straight groove. The name of the EP is just the contraction of Synthetisers' and Therapy'. As mentioned before, I just decided to get back to the start and reduce the production process to the minimum. The names of the tracks follow the circuit of the light beam and the energy flow of the music. It starts with emitting, followed by the consequences, the release, and finally the change.

Osmosis is back with another remarkable release for their 3rd vinyl catalogue, this time featuring the rising talent Wave Particle Singularity bringing a marriage of microhouse textures and airy jazzy riffs, giving the whole EP subtil lo-fi colors ranging from Romanian to Detroitish influences. The EP is elegantly closed with a special remix from the Arad born talent and Sunwaves fueler, Herck.

After an outstanding Ibiza season with several appearances on the Island, including his HYTE residency at Amnesia, tINI & the Gang and Sankeys to name a few, Yaya is ready to unleash his next track on Tamango. The third release on his own Tamango Records is another solo EP for the head-honcho who now delivers 'Closer' and we're super glad to see Berlin based Mike Shannon on the remix duties. The title track 'Closer' is a captivating lush masterpiece and features the beautiful vocals of Russian artist Eka Moon. It immediately kicks in with deep kicks and subterranean bass and the vocal totally turns the track into a sexy and intimate mood with a superb amalgamation of drums, pads and delayed synths. The intense and sumptuous groove is top notch quality with Yaya's meticulous attention for subtleties and details, creating a true heady dancefloor brew. On the flip, B1 is about 'Close Encounters' with Mike Shannon on the remix who completely takes the track into another direction with sinister and electrical atmospheres. His version of 'Closer' starts a two minutes crescendo of tension and anxiety with a misted use of the vocals until a lethal kick and bass combination together with a lean groove makes of this remix an amazing hypnotic club killer. Ending the affairs on the EP is the dub mix of 'Closer' which emphasizes all the single elements of the original track without the vocal part.

Followin on from Aesthetic 06 from Nolga which got huge support sunwaves, young and super talented artists Josh Baker & Alfa bring a serious 3 track ep to Aesthetic.

Massimiliano Pagliara is a true powerhouse! With his last album "Feel Live" under his chest, as well as an ep on Ostgut Ton (where he also holds a residency at the legendary Panormamabar) and a string of strong remixes, the trained dancer from Italy now presents his first full length ep for Permanent Vacation: "Nothing Stays In One Place For Long". The four tracks on the ep show the perfect symbiosis between man and machine (in this case a fleet of analog synths and drum machines) and offer the full spectrum of Massimiliano Pagliara's production skills from dubby, chord driven techno, to playful acid disco and blissful balearic house. Despite this wide range, he always keeps his trade mark sound that you can also find in his numerous dj sets around the globe merging a variety of people and styles for a happy dance under one roof.

Dark Dub Techno by Chris Manura. Dirtydrivesounds is back with its second vinyl - including Mac-Kee and Sven Tasnadi (Pokerflat, Katermukke) Remixes.

Markus Homm is back on Still Hot and once again proves impressively that he is a guarantor for deep groovy dance floor tunes.

The title track “Pleasure” gets a hypnotic note from an Arpeggio building up in the background, paired with a distinctive drum groove that goes straight into the legs.
The female vocal, which gives the track a certain recognizability, also picked up by label boss Benny Grauer for his version of “Pleasure”. The Arpeggio reduced and equipped with a striking bassline, he gives the track a technoid touch.

The second original track "Golden Horizon" is way darker than the title track. The almost mystical sounds are accompanied by a crunchy bass drum and surely made for a lot of fun on the afterhour.
Vinyl fans can already look forward to the third original track "Dakar", which will be available only on vinyl.

After the great Remix on ETUI 014 Alec Troniq - Cataract Four' we finally are happy to present this Solo EP by Nico Grubert. There are 4 Tech House Tracks representing the kind of airiness and technical aplomb of Nicos absorbing work. The spheric moments in - Excalibur', filtered organ chords in - Forbidden Fruits' and a blowing brassic theme in - Me Gusta' are always highlighted by the typical exciting Grubert- Beats. So its sounds like the consequential continuation of his journey thru diverse styles, developed gradually over years: Evolving from Trance and Techno, the route, via Acid, finally led to Tech-House, deep-House and Minimal Techno. He released his stuff on labels such as Cometomusic, Kaufe Musik or Definition Rec. and made high recommend remixes for Ferdinand & Kaufmann, Lexy and Crhistian Fischer. But dont judge overhasty! Francis Harris is a founding member of the Scissor & Thread label - a Brooklyn-based imprint established 2011 as an outlet for deeper, more personal sounds, as well as music from a range of associated artists including black light smoke, Bob Moses, Frank & Tony, DJ Aakmael, Desert Sound Colony and Aris Kindt, to name a few. Harris' own output has gone from tightly wound tech house cuts as Adultnapper in the early days, sublime deep house as Frank & Tony, intricate and expressive musical journeys as evident in his two solo-albums 'Leland' and 'Minutes Of Sleep', and ambient shoegaze with two Aris Kindt albums, co-produced with Gabe Hedrick. Most recently Harris branched out with a new label - Kingdoms - a home for his love of a more adventurous sound. Now we are proud to present his new solo single, the first since the release of 'Minutes of Sleep', 'Minor Forms'which includes two remarkable remixes by Valentino Mora. 'More We Cannot Do' is a perfect example of Harris' feel for depth and dynamics - a track that feels submerged in a warm amniotic fluid cocooning the listener in a thick subby bassline, providing much of the groove, with skittering percussion on top and intricate fragments of melody throughout leading to a wonderful moment with live vibraphone provided by New York player Will Shore. 'Minor Forms', the EP's title track is cut from similar cloth - emerging from a subtly distant place to inhabit a melancholic, beautifully evocative space - somewhere between ambient, jazz and the dancefloor. Joining Harris is Greg Paulus on Trumpet, a long time friend and collaborator adding his signature touch to an already moving piece.

Gorge is currently in top shape! His last two EPs on 8Bit and Oliver Schories new label Pracht, reached number 1 in different Deep House Charts. Now he's back on Still Hot with another bomb.
Beyond Flatlines is a deeply groovy, beautifully built up track that will be released just in time for the upcoming open air season. ‘Blavatsky’ takes us on a theosophical trip. All mid tempos and woozy psychedelics weaving, layering, twisting and taking sudden detours, not only does it sets the scene for what’s to follow but it’s flipped by a sublime remix from You’re Me’s Yu Su who whips up an ageless nod to the legacy of Two Lone Swordsmen.
‘Eiffel Tower Syndrome’ follows. Intense, edgy, and prone to paranoid flurries over a heavy driving beat; unlike its medical namesake this will not result in disappointment. And neither will Simple Symmetry’s remix. Another thoughtful remix pairing from Biologic, here the Moscow brothers provide a flip that’s as similarly ageless as Yu Su’s; slower, heavier and rife with references, this one recalls the influence and energy of a young Coldcut when they first got fully paid.
Finally this pop-up Baltic/Slavic threesome end the release with the heaviest, most intense tune of the set. ‘Black Market Weekdays’ is a hot slab of rolling technoid drama with more eye-raising surprises than a truck load of knock-off DVDs and more weight than a tonne of counterfeit Rolexes. Murky, mean and fully forward-focussed, let’s hot Pletnev and Panorama Channel find time to join forces again in the future…

With Resident Advisor track of the year last year, Schacke is already known for his anthemic style of Copenhagen techno. When Stijn was playing his live set on a festival in Amsterdam Manfredas saw him play. They clicked soundwise and a remix idea was born. Since Anna's huge success with 'Where Are You Now' last october a lot has changed in her live. Brasil's first lady of techno not only tours the world and continued with more fantastic releases on Diynamic, Tronic and Turbo Recordings but also found the time to be back in the studio again for her first proper EP for Monika Kruse's label Terminal M.

Anthony Georges Patrice is back with a whole EP on Lossless and it sounds like an overall artistic start over. Fantastic variety on all tracks and he opens a new part in his musical universe with electrofied and africanized tracks...really refreshing and great to play!
