King Of Kong Records, a new venture of Artur8, Anton Klint & Edvin E. presents it’s new release, the “World Museum” EP - a modern classic from Newborn Jr.

Warsaw-based producer Adam Brocki released a string of collaborative records - with Earth Trax (Bartosz Kruczynski) for Phonica, Dopeness Galore, Echovolt and Rhythm Section, or as Private Press for Rekids and Indigo Area. His mature, carefully crafted sound, stripped yet powerful, now finds its place on King Of Kong.

“What What What” starts the EP off on a right foot: broken rhythm, clever voice snippets, cosmic pads and heavy bassline reminds of some archetypal Shake productions, off-kilter yet somehow infectious. “World Museum” rolls out relentlessly on a steady kickdrum, and again the backbone is held firmly by bass. Swirling noises come and go, adding a dash of melancholy into this club-ready tool. “NJ Public Pool” again sounds like a long-lost timeless classic, with just right amount of melody and irresistible party vibe. It’s accompanied by a moodier and denser remix from Warehouse Preservation Society (aka TK Disco and Tavish (ESP Institute)), a druggy chugger for late night and dark corners. Rounding off the EP, Yourhighness of Rollerboys & Cocktail D'Amore Records fame straightens the beat and pushes up the tempo of “What What What” to deliver a proper party stomper. A classic sound of two decades of dance music underground updated for here and now.

Mood 24 returns with the "Mood Series" various artists. For this installment we have 4 special tracks each one to suit different styles and tastes. First up we have "Nima Gorji" with his Contraction track. A groovy minimal track, repetitive but at same time brings you along through a little journey on the dance floor. "Dragutesku" gives us a deep and dark track with special little sounds here and there to bring suspense and anticipation to this wicked track. "Negru" has a more solid house style. 808 drums, sick sub bass and a jazz melodies. "Petar Cvetkovic" gives us some more tech house orientated sounds, simplistic drums, groovy rolling percs and a sick vox to wrap things up nicely.

Dieses mal mit Kid Simius im Magit Cacoon Remix, Kollektiv
Ost und dem Live Act JPattersson. In Zeiten von Spotify,
Deezer und Co. mag das für manch einen kurios anmuten,
doch so wie wir unser kleines Festival an einem ganz
außergewöhnlichen Ort veranstalten, ist auch die Idee und die
Umsetzung unserer jährlichen Compilation etwas Besonderes.

Enveloping us in the very constant mysterious and magnetic sound universe that Alci previously has built in his past releases, the new EP "HIRAGANA" reports on the multitude of experiences he has had lately and his subsequent undertaken creative evolution. This organic enrichment, which is an addition or better said, an enhancement in Alci's soundscape, result from the various inspirations Alci underwent during his travels and time spent surrounded by nature as well as urban nightlife.

DEEP DARK BLUE presents an album filled with gentle surprises. When We Get Together takes you through lightly psychedelic melodies for the heart and mind to get lost in. Though highly polished as a production, a sense of underlying spontaneity implies a process that's closer to an improvised jam session than a planned composition. The lush synths, complex percussion, and shimmering melodies create rich backdrops for reveries. Each song bobs and weaves through opposite contrasts, often going back and forth between melancholic to bright. Yet each song remains cohesive and leaves you wondering how you arrived at the end of each track.

Purist Berlin party and label Away Music is starting a new vinyl series entitled Reissued. It will focus on putting out Move D & Pete Namlook tracks that were previously only available on CD and stand as some of electronic music’s most innovative pieces.

The German pair were ambient pioneers who explored and intertwined psychedelic synthscapes, deep house and techno, future jazz and downtempo on Namlook’s cult Fax Records. Over the course of more than twenty hugely prolific years, the pair put out 24 albums, all of which have stood the test of time. The first limited edition EP features three tracks, two of which come from their Live In Heidelberg 2001 album, and one from their three-part Stranger album series in 2010.

Opener ‘Footer’ is a darkly absorbing piece with menacing bass rhythms and frosted textures. Alien lifeforms drift above the rolling drums and the whole thing is an interplanetary trip that finds modern kinship with the likes of techno experimentalist Donato Dozzy. The majestic ‘Der Bergkönig’ is less linear and more suspensory, with beautiful synth motifs looping over icy pads and building to a celestial crescendo complete with sweeping strings. Closer ‘Stranger’ is an adventurous 16 minute epic that rides on slick deep house drums and phased bass. Pensive piano chords are draped over the top while ambient pads and spoken word snippets add to the cinematic and hypnotic effects.

This inaugural EP is not only a first chance to own these vital tracks on vinyl, but it is also serves as a welcome reminder or fantastic introduction to the seminal work of Move D & Pete Namlook.

In his debut vinyl only ep on Cyanide, he brings us his new natural medicine called Seduction', an analog and raw classic house track with subtle and sensual voices that will seduce your feet and your ears.

First on remix duties there is Sebb Junior. What else can we say about him Simply the man of the moment, with masterpiece after masterpiece heating the charts. His remix of Seduction is not an exception of his awesome music. Sebb delights us with a superb remix that reminds us of the best San Francisco years. So hot that burns!

When we flip the vinyl we find the remix of Iban Montoro & Jazzman Wax. The Spanish Jackin' house masters come back to Cyanide with their genuine Chicago sound. They have stripped the original track and added a good dose of groove and funk. Last but not least there is P.A.L.D', which shows us again the amazing Smothless' skills to produce solid house music. This track brings the spring to Mordor. Definitely, house music is the best medicine.

How would a Stimming track sound like when it's played by a real, 64 people orchestra That was the question which didn't let Stimming sleep. On side B there is the original version of 'November Morning' which some of you might already know; it was released on Diynamic earlier this year. Blue and melancholic house chords with a typical Stimming climax: not obvious but effective. A pseudo violin, field recordings and his whistle round things up. Side A is the answer to our disclosure: More than 60 musicians from the Brandenburg State Orchestra were involved and made this work an unique classical expierence. No artificial sounds or elements were used afterwards - all you hear is pure 'analog' Orchestra. The Ryote EP is the aptly titled debut from Ryote, featuring 5 tracks of raw, leftfield house and techno inspired by grimy basements and late

The co-founder of Kajunga and co-owner of Detroit-based Clave House stays active in the Midwest circuit, performing regularly at a varity of events and festivals such as: Even Furthur, Sacred Earth, SYSTEM, Communion and Elixir.

The producer behind Sorcery has lent his unique live drummer presence to the techno scene throughout various contributions and collaborations including with Kangding Ray, Belief Defect, Dadub and Powell just to name a few. This musicianship has led him to perform twice at Atonal festival and release on the Atonal imprint with SUMS (Kangding Ray + Barry Burns/Mogwai). Manufactured Conflicts is the hard-hitting precision engineered debut from one of electronic music's most acclaimed experimental underground's drummer. Samuel Kerridge thoughtfully re-engineers 'Orbature' re-pacing the structure and contributing additional textures to the piece. Please meet the young production duo of Davin Coady and Geoff Foley known as 'Between Ourselves' from Water-ford/Ireland, one of the Irish key cities for the more deeper flavours of underground House-music. They have previously released on labels such as Republik and Galaktika. Their offering is comprised of 2 tracks. The first track 'Red Mist' is a melodic driven tune with an epic monster-break that hur-tles the listener to an uplifting climax. The 2nd Track 'Guidance' hits the spot with a catchy bassline in the break, the 'hook' of the tune. None other than Berlin based Ruede Hagelstein created a remix for 'Red Mist'. Indeed he is a man for those special tunes that will always stay on your mind. He stripped down the original to its bare essence keeping the epic feel - a dirty dark masterpiece. Andre Lodemanns edit of 'Red Mist' pushes the floor potential to the max with his customized drum sounds.

Rising newcomer Jholeyson makes a stunning debut on Hot Creations with Discow, a fantastic two track release that draws inspiration from an eclectic range of musical genres.

The 12” begins with the title track Discow. A high-tempo house number, tinny hi hats merge with whip-like kicks, as an infectious vocal gives way to a pumping, four-to-the-floor drop. Plenty rounds off the release in a minimal, pulsing fashion. A squeaking, electronic bassline couples with soft bloops and subtle keys, as soft build ups lead into gently-changing crescendos.

Jholeyson is beginning to make real waves in the scene. Having produced standout releases for the likes of Posh Records, Harvibal and 1994 Music, it was in 2018 that the young upstart launched his own imprint: Sticker Music. Fast forward a year and the Discow EP marks another strong milestone in Jholeyson’s ever-flourishing career.

We were really impressed by "Invisibility Theory", the Sushitech released debut album from Christi Cons and Vlad Caia's Sideways Invisibility Theory project. This speedy follow-up for Half Baked Records (under the truncated SIT pseudonym) is rather good, too. Check first A-side "Spectral", a typically epic excursion where warm ambient chords, deep space electronics and glistening electric guitar motifs bob and weave around a chunky analogue bassline and locked-in tech-house drums. B-side opener "Owl Farm" is notably wonkier and weirder, with druggy drums, mind-altering electronics and the trademark glitch-laden shuffle we've come to expect from Romanian electronic music. That vibe is explored further on twisted closing cut "Animation", a particularly alien example of skewed tech-house funk.

Alex Arnout returns with a second EP for the Jack's House imprint. His first EP for the label (Confirmation Bias) was the first release on the label and hit the top 10 best sellers within days of release. The Sync Jam EP features 3 distinctly different tracks. 'Sync Jam' (the lead track) is a true winner with an incredibly infectious loop that creeps in quite early into the track, then the baseline drops in and you are instantly hooked and most likely want to play on repeat. It is the kind of track you wish you had made yourself as the arrangement is stella in the way it builds and engages you. This is a true favourite. 'Calling U' is a really quirky rolling number with both dark and bright tones mixed together perfectly to create a deep atmosphere using lots of interesting catchy keys and patterns throughout the arrangement. 'Resurgen' is a beautiful piece with a true quality mature Balearic sound to it. Warm pads and gentle but effective percussion roll continuously throughout. It is a smooth track that travels, creating a certain of peace of mind.

Claude VonStroke spent the first part of 2019 teaming up with several artists on music, and turned out three singles that were so good they didn’t even need a B-side. Now all three tracks come together for a special vinyl release, “Collaborations”.

Kicking off the year with the Miami Music Week hit, “Getting Hot”, alongside Elrow resident Eddy M, Claude then kicked off festival season with the massive track, “Comments”, which saw him and ZDS return to the studio with Chicago’s KE on vocals.

As if that wasn’t enough, the elusive combo of GET REAL (Claude VonStroke & Green Velvet) teamed up for “Jolean”, the first studio collaboration in over 3 years since their #1 debut, “Mind Yo Bizness”.

Repetentes 2008 is 26 year old Brazilian multi instrumentalist, session super star, Globo Television soap opera jingle up-and-comer, 40% Foda label boss and Botafogo FR football hooligan Gabriel Guerra. Known affectionately as Guerrinha amongst his friends, Guerrinha - or as he’s referred to officially - Gabriel, turns in Superconscious Records’ 13th edition. After his absurd debut LP on Future Times and his more recent outings on his own 40% Foda and PAN records, Guerrinha keeps things relatively straight up with 4 absurdly fast but not furious club friendly tracks.

Legend Diver is a journey towards the sounds of deep tech and with a cool dark deep minimal tech groove. The EP consists in two original mixes plus two remixes. First track "Legend Diver" is a mystical dream that needs to be heard and experienced while it transports you to the abyss of its groove. Tesseract 1 is the first remix EP taken from debut album “Corpus Hypercubus” by JESUSLOVESACID, the figure head behind Vitalik Recordings. The music from the album was described as “IDM with a Balearic twist” by Resident Advisor and was picked up by a wide range of selectors. Tesseract 1 employs some heavy hitters on remix duties, Mathew Jonson and brother Nathan Jonson team up under their Midnight Operator moniker for a high octane acid techno workout, the production is immense as you would expect from the duo and they have managed to retain the ethereal chords of the original track (which also features on the EP) whilst producing a peak time dance floor weapon. Appleblim takes things into dreamier territory with a pitched down breakbeat remix of “Philosophy”, a sublime ode to blissed out hardcore, it’s an enthralling dub masterpiece, another instant classic to add to the collection. Finally there is the anonymous “Wax Works Edit” a dub acid edit aimed squarely at the floor, rounding first vinyl 12” from the JESUSLOVESACID project.

Ostgut Ton presents 'Unknown Origin' the debut album from Luke Slater's L.B. Dub Corp moniker. The ten tracks recorded at Spacestation Ø form a hymnal intent on transporting you back to the roots. Digging deep into the history of dance music, 'Unknown Origin' dares to ask the big questions and offers no
easy answers. Instead, deep spiritual dubs are side- by-side with slices of piano house, and handsome slabs of techno contrast with the words of the silver-tongued poet Benjamin Zephaniah.

Adriatique's new label Siamese returns with its second offering, the debut EP from electronic live duo Stereocalypse.
Title track 'Lace Star' is a subtle yet hypnotic record. Sterocalypse utilise the full duration of the track to add layers to an ever evolving soundscape, with a guitar, echoing synths and a subtle bassline coming together towards the track's climax.
It's followed by the humorously titled 'Not A B Side', an atmospheric cut with a fusion of percussive and electronic elements giving it an exotic feel. The EP rounds off with 'Shandy's Eagle'; showing a little more of the duo's experimental side, its trippy synth layers and soft bassline make for an ideal way to round off this eclectic EP. Stereocalypse aim to combine experience and instinct, analog feeling and modern textures in their boundary-free work. A completely new project from two experienced producers, the 'Lace Star' EP is a statement of intent from the duo.

Family, Fish, Shapes. These are only three of the many topics that Stefan Streck aka The Micronaut recently devoted himself to within his releases on labels such as Acker Records or Analogsoul. Always with a clear line, but never intellectualising, is how the multi-instrumentalist and producer pursues his scientific curiosity in terms of sounds. His tracks are elaborate and yet danceable. Sometimes they are composed minimally, sometimes they are utterly playful. Within just a few bars, subtle sequences transform to energetic roller coaster rides since The Micronaut loves having a game with contrasts. His newest EP on Freude am Tanzen proves this anew.
The EP contains four tracks full of references to the past in view of the future. Indeed, the samples and sounds of the British summers of love echo strongly until today, however, they sound much more like a reinvention instead of a revival in the case of The Micronaut. Since his music doesn't shy away from big gestures, but virtually seeks them out - and discovers them where melancholy meets euphoria far from rigid genre classifications. Breakbeats from Britain come upon IDM and trance, wide synth landscapes are embedded in pop. Hence, this is how The Micronaut unifies contrasts a new in each track.
A1 - Earlylate
To start a rave once again somewhere in broad acres or in abandoned tunnels. On top of that, this track, whether early or late, the arms up in the air and a riot of emotion. Air horn!
A2 - Oldnew
Shuffle, but different. Almost like Kompakt wasn't from Cologne, but from London. Similar over here, nobody is looking obliquely when the beat doesn't march straight forward four-to-the-floor. Massive groove with obstacles, might as well.
B1 - Underover
It's as if James Holden was on his way going on a short trip in England beginning of the nineties when basses still made ears and trousers tremble. This sound won't age in a hundred years - especially not when it's as fresh.
B2 - Smallbig
The bouncer with tremendous thoughtfulness. A hymn for the late hours shortly before the lights go on. In last retrospect, not thinking about tomorrow. In this moment for all eternity, for one night.

We feel them activating different body parts for futuristic popping, whereas the relentless boogie rhythm that lays the foundation for this track gives us material to twist our legs in sync to the beat.

Joe closes this EP with “Rio Lea” - an elegantly swinging jam that smoothly and slowly builds up to a melodic meditation. Its many decorative elements seem all - necessary to make this work and are always falling rightly into place. While - Aliasing Bells is a texture of sampled tibetan bells - Tag3 by his side-project - Autolyse is a jam on a light-sensor-controlled custom-made synth. Perfect for layering on top of a mix.

After more then three years of silence as a producer, Efdemin a.k.a Phillip Sollmann returns with a striking hybrid concept that merges the album format with the continuous DJ mix' format, presenting completely new material in a seamless manner. The CD-mix, named Naïf, officially reinstates his label of the same name and is a sprawling tour of inner space featuring 19 distinct tracks from fellow producers along with an additional ten that feature Efdemin himself (either as soloist or collaborator). The release condenses his decade-long DJ-ing journey and evolution as a producer into a single potent elixir of contemporary techno.
Naïf consists of completely unreleased material from both himself and valued collaborators, all of which will eventually manifest as EP releases: five on his own Naïf label and two more on Curle.

With this release a new label emerges under the name Deep Down. Veebo delivers a smooth EP for the occasion. Expect stripped down microhouse with spooky laughs and repetitive vocals. On the A side you'll find Essentially, a delicious 45 cut with a classic UK bass melody. On the B side it starts of with One Two, a house driven, conductive tool. The EP ends of with Ethereal, the title track that will take you on a modular journey with buttery pads and stripped down ultra deep bass lines.
This label will continue to focus on the minimal groovin' side of the genres of house and techno. Expect more sounds from vivid Antwerp soon.

Moon Harbour welcome back Super Flu after their appearance on Orbiter II for a series of remixes of their 2007 hit ‘Monaberry.’ Label boss Matthias Tanzmann and the pair themselves offer up fresh new versions.

This track was first released on Lorna in 2007, and Super Flu used its title when they later started their own label. Since then they have put out five studio albums and plenty of EPs on the likes of Mule Musiq and Hommage.

Up first is ‘Monaberry (2019 Werkzeug)’ which is a dark, twisted tech house tune with subtle layers of bells and whistles, scintillating synth lines and creeping darkness all making it utterly absorbing.

Matthias Tanzmann steps up with an excellent remix that is built on crisp house drums and hits. As the toms ping, female vocal coos add soul and a warped bassline prowls down low to bring real menace to this slow-burning banger.

Last of all, the original is included and still sounds standout with its quickened drums, deft synth stabs and floating sense of groove that sweeps you up and carries you away.

These are three very different but equally effective tracks that are guaranteed to make their mark.

After a well received debut with 100hz, E-Numbers invite Subsequent boss Voigtmann to continue its split EP remix format with founder Bobby Odonnell.

Voigtmann opens with a dose of luscious cheek in ‘Gentlemen Take Polaroids’. Modest rhythms caress a satisfying low-end, ringing with sophistication throughout a transient seven minutes. The German completes the A side, taking Bobby’s original ‘Harrison Street’ down after hours avenue.

In homage to Leeds’ beloved Mint Club following the recent closure, ‘Harrison Street’ is a heartfelt tribute to the tech-house sound Mint have pushed for over two decades. Fragile chords glisten over a nostalgic bassline, remnant of many nights down on Harrison Street.

Voigtmann’s original gains new energy in Bobby’s conclusive remix. Swung hats and clever delay work meld elements from the original with fresh UK flavours.

We are delighted to present the portuguese DJ and producer DJ Vibe. Here, with his debut, on CrackHouse Recording, he brings us 'Santa Apolonia EP'. DJ Vibe needs no introduction, in the year of 2017 he celebrates 35 years in the service of music. DJ Vibe is back with another groovy and underground release containing three special tracks.

B1 is Daze Maxim's remix, with a more ethereal approach to Isotelus Rex, it begins through a beautiful synth. Then grows a fast and intricate bass arrangement, providing a confidently vibed way though the cosmic landscape, also another great track for the dance floor, as the same physical swing as in original is felt strong. B2 Proetida, the second original work by Denis Kaznacheev of the release, is of raw, almost rude, attitude, a strong bass descends in steps, a determined momentum, the driving force of an industrious process.

Who said that da new Long player must consist by Intros, Outros and Off-Tracks – that all lies in the eye of the beholder and depends on his perspective. It must be honest and has to odd pictures in the heads. DOMPE succeeded that in a perfect way. Re-mastered and re-pressed, Axel Boman's classic EP for Hypercolour is made available again, three years on from its original release. Hailing from Sweden, Axel Boman has ascended through the ranks over these last few years, from his first productions on the Swedish label Ourvision Recordings, to releases for Mule Muziq, DJ Koze's Pampa Records, Pets Recordings and his own Studio Barnhus imprint. Boman has carved out a steady and loyal reputation for his DJ and production skills, collaborating also with John Talabot for the killer Talaboman project that has served up some highly memorable DJ sets and a 2014 single, 'Sideral'. The 'Black Magic Boman' EP was Boman's 2013 offering on Hypercolour, and a release that's since gone down as a leftfield house must have'. Long out of press, the re-release revisits the four tracks of sheer quality across the two sides. Television People' is built around minimal percussion, a rubbery synth line that echoes the best of Matthew Johnson's productions, and a distant spoken word vocal delivery. Spooky, early morning vibes, and one of the favourites from this EP. Cubic Mouth' goes deeper into the melodies, with a distorted mallet riff over some supernatural and spellbinding drums & FX. Look What You've Done To Me' continues with the graceful house sounds, layering and filtering ethereal piano samples and searing synths over a sparse percussive workout. And Klinsmann' wraps things in fine style with more highly infectious melodies and soft kicks, bouncing claps and earworm bassline.

Hamburg-based Mireia Records is ecstatic toannounce their thirteenth release: Julian Stetter’s “Sensual EP”.
You’ve probably crossed paths with Julian in thelast couple of years. Not only because he’s the tallest guy in Cologne, but the producer and DJ has been actively shaping modern dance music
with his flourishing, melancholic sound. He’s been releasing music with Permanent Vacation, Kompakt, Correspondent and hometown labels Ancient Future Now and PNN.

It’s also not his first time on Mireia Records. Remember the beautiful “Porto” on “We’ll Sea
Pt.1?” Here, Julian presents two original tracks which are reinterpreted by SONNS and Matt
Karmil.
The title track “ Sensual ” manages to erase the mundane, the world’s vanishing around you.
It’s pitched shaker and airy bells evoke introspective tones. The bassline on the other hand

With his releases on Kompakt and strong DJ Sets SONNS’ been a long time favored entrant
into Mireia Record’s catalogue.
Matt Karmil’s version of 'Sensual', although on B2 of the vinyl, doesn’t hide its assets.
Kicking off with frantic high hats and a distorted glitch, he pushes the track forwards
intriguingly. Arpeggiated melodies layered supremely over the percussion drive the track
forwards, the simplicity of the track and sharp cuts and drops create an interesting dynamic
to the single creating a perfect juxtapose to the other tracks on the release.
Matt’s also been on Mireia’s radar for a long time. His atmospheric adventures for Studio
Barnhus, Smalltown Supersound or Beats in Space always convey a spirit of living, breathing
leeway.

Underground electronic music label Minimood celebrates ten years of existence with a special double 12" Vinyl Only release,

Giorgia Angiuli's debut album Pink Bubble channels the artist's effervescent persona and own bubbly style in a 12 track-long, honest musical expression. Drawing inspiration from her first worldwide tour, where life on the road was impacted by personal loss, the album title Pink Bubble captures the essence of the artist's mindset, caught in between the artistic world and real life: 'I felt like in a pink bubble, between memories and new experiences, between darkness and colours". Brandishing an immersive sonic sphere, the classically trained musician played and recorded all instruments throughout the album, including her favourite weapons of choice, from her beloved 60's guitar to vintage analog synths like the Moog Sub37, Juno 106, the infamous O-B-6 synth and more. The synesthesia of dark and colourful with new and old memories stands at the core of the album, as introspective airy tracks intertwine with more dynamic, bass-heavy constructions. On its luminous side, we see cuts radiating with crystalline, microscoping sounds with sweeping ambience like the opener A Perfect Day in Tulum, leading the listener on a nervous path towards more obscure tracks such as Copenhagen and Nothing to Lose, until bringing the atmosphere to a boiling point. Music is Life encapsulates Giorgia's passion for her craft, an intrinsic part of her life that brings peace and inspiration: 'Music is life with wings, sit in the warm water, just reflecting, being". Creation and being inspired represent another major theme present throughout the album, both in the eponymous track Inspiration, as well as A Temple Made by Air, where the artist can be heard singing: 'Passion means satisfaction,

For the debut of his newfound label IPSO records, Ko¨lsch wanted to try something new. He has long been a fan of limiting himself in the studio. "Sometimes working with less equipment brings out the best in you, so for the first release I figured it would be interesting to experiment with this", Ko¨lsch says. Inspired by the Danish Dogma films, he decided to make a rule, and as he is not one for overdoing things, the rule is very simple.
"We are only allowed to use one instrument' "I reached out to my friend and all time hero Michael Mayer to do the first collab."
Other than being the co-founder of the mighty Kompakt records, and signing me in 2009, he is a genius in a dj booth and a great producer, He has always been a great inspiration to me, so we agreed to start my new Label with a bang', he adds.
Ko¨lsch set out the challenge, that Michael should choose the instrument.
"As I arrived in Cologne, Michael had chosen this old Yamaha Organ. Funny side note, is that it is actually Jo¨rg Burgers Organ. Jo¨rg is actually quiet the techno legend himself, but that is another story. We spent 1 day in the studio, and we had a blast. The outcome is 2 great pieces of music that i am very proud to share with you'.

Charles Trees. Myth, tall tale, legend of a human being, one of those people who one minute you'll be scouring reddit for obscure content and the next, stepping on stage to casually DJ to thousands of people like “no big whoop” at a French music festival. Charles is unassuming, the kind of person who effortlessly mixes ghettotech into soul for lulz, who samples a speech (/rant) by Funkmaster Flex in an acid track, or rides BMG & Derek Plaslaiko’s “True Story of a Detroit Groove” with Velvet Underground’s “Sister Ray” for 8 minutes straight.

Charles' relationship with electronic music started early. In high school, Dave Shayman (Disco D) introduced Charles to DJing and he was a regular at Dubplate Pressure*– Todd Osborn's now-legendary record store in Ann Arbor. By 1998, he was already playing on raves in Detroit. A year later, he was the first person to show Zach Saginaw (Shigeto) to Ghostly International, arguably altering the course of our lives forever. In the late 2000s, they became label mates on Moodgadget, the record label of Jakub Alexander (Heathered Pearls).

Through out the years, Charles has been a musical mentor (whether DJing, producing or throwing shows) to many, danced at every weekly at every venue in Ann Arbor & Detroit, produced Hip Hop, and fronted a psych rock band. He has released music on Moodgadget (US), Musique Large (FR), Lovemonk (ES), Vanity Press (US) and JFX Lab (FR). Today, between DJing, hosting radio shows and producing new music, Charles regularly throws shows/parties/raves, and hosts a monthly at Deluxx Fluxx.

The latest release from Serbia's Soul Print Recordings brings together the two L's, Leonid and Laak. Up first is Leonid on the A side with two tracks Urania 1 and 2, possibly named after the muse of astronomy, which makes sense, as both tracks have a cosmic feel about them. Urania 1 starts off with a nice string sound that permeates the space before the drums start to really take effect half way through. Urania 2 has a more house feel about it, with the acid bass line sitting nicely along the deep pads. Over to the b side and Laak takes control. Delving into late night territory with haunting layered leads & pads these tracks are typical quality by Laak. Featuring label artwork once again by fellow Serb, Bratislav Milenkovic and pressed on a beautiful sky blue, Yesterday For Tomorrow is a thing of aural and visual beauty.

Martin Eyerer is finally back on his main label and comes with a real biggie. 'Confident Journey' features no other than former Archive singer Craig Walker with his unique voice backed by Martin's epic production.

Berlin's Sascha Funke weighs in with a hard-hitting new four-tracker for Tiga's label. Hot off his comeback on Multi Culti, this latest EP for Turbo Recordings takes the hypnotic, progressive vibe and drives it a little bit harder, leaning into every snare with precise power, carefully administering tension over the duration of professionally-paced arrangements. Title-track 'IFA,' already a weapon in the crates of Funke-friends like Rebolledo, Michael Mayer and Tiga, sounds like the kind of peak-time party power you'd expect those dudes to pull out in the darker hours of their deepest sets, when the soundtrack calls for more than basic, visceral limb-pumping, but full disorientation, actual mind-losing. 'Robur' rolls out of that space with minimalistic-tribalism, sounding like a mental apocalyptic march, pushing forward with intractable force, an energy which eventually relents on 'MZ,' opening up dramatically with an epic chord progression that blooms into ecstatic, piano-house. Think 'old-school baby,' revisited with bittersweet self-awareness, taking us back to a place we know well, inspiring one last dance, accessing the naive rave-spirit all-too often forgotten in the 'industry'. Finally, 'Barkas' recalls the tones and timbres from 'In Relationen,' reflecting an emotionally placid state, a sound of radiant clarity, the sound of an artist at peace with his place in the cosmos, balancing past and future, energy and stillness, mind and body.

After showcasing his knack for emotive productions via various EPs throughout his career, including chart-topping singles on Hot Since 82's Knee Deep in Sound and Dave Seaman's Selador, the Swiss artist Several Definitions now reveals his first full-length album. It should come as no surprise that the artist found familiarity in what he calls the Berlin style' of electronic music and notably, that of Oliver Koletzki's Stil vor Talent. Reborn After The Road is an intense and emotional affair, consisting of 14 tracks crafted using field and live recordings, switching between analogue and digital to mould a sonic atmosphere that emblazons the artist's core ethos. Although the personal experience that sparked the inspiration for the LP is far from pleasant, Several Definitions' style is audibly resolute. Reborn After The Road, the album's eponymous track, creates a fitting intro for the healing process that is to follow. Its airy pads and majestic strings sonically stand at the epicenter of the expressive album. Tiefschwarz are back again on Watergate with a dub version and three stellar remixes of 'Free Falling feat. Khan' from their recent and highly acclaimed album 'Left'.
