The 6th Bodytrax release is the first in a new series and marks the first appearance of artists other than Bodyjack on the label. He has invited some of his favourite kindred spirits along for some duelling action over the machines with the simple premise for each EP; both deliver a track apiece, which is then remixed by the other. It is with great pleasure to say that the first to step-up to the plate is Fiedel (MMM, Ostgut Ton, Berghain etc). The Berliner whose work has featured in Chris's DJ sets for aeons, has been behind some of the music that has without question influenced the Bodytrax label since the outset. His idiosyncratic production style meshes perfectly with Bodyjack, and it's safe to say fans of both will not be disappointed to have this duel kick off the series.

Claque Musique kicks off another piece of beauty. "America", Joe Montana's iconic house jam from 1996, is back out now, after more then a decade, remastered and remixed from Chicago House pioneers Virgo Four and The Museri.

Patrick Mason and Rekids boss Matt Edwards return for their second appearance as SRVD with two cuts entitled 'RAW FILES'.

Not confined to a single art form, Patrick Mason is a young creative at the forefront of Berlin's art, fashion, dance music and LGBT scene; an influential club kid who developed a friendship with Matt Edwards after a chance meeting in Panorama Bar, resulting in numerous studio sessions and improvised live sets.
Joining forces in 2018, the pair adopted their SRVD moniker - an alias inspired by New York's vogue scene - before dropping their debut release on Rekids, playing at various clubs (notably Panorama Bar), not to mention an unforgettable performance at Boiler Room x Pornceptual.

'The Yard Man' presents rattling drums, piercing vocal chants and a tormenting melody that SRVD has been destroying dancefloors with over the last year. On the flip, 'Brotha' presents a compelling groove as a shuffling rhythm joins abrasive synths and Mason's penetrating voice.

Doe Dee is a new label curated by stalwart Sydney DJ / Fbi Radio Presenter Kato releasing forward thinking club music from Australia to the world. The first release sees the two personalities of Melbourne producer Fergus Sweetland splitting 2 sides of a liquorice pizza.

On the A side SWEETLAND shines with unique energetic yet emotional deep(ish) house workout with a beautiful deep dubby re-rub from Sydney's own HUBERT CLARKE JR (100% Silk / Wolf Music / OTiS)

While on the B side SUGREF takes things considerably darker with a brooding electro influenced acid trip alongside a chunky uptempo dub house workout from Sydney duo ALBA (aka Cop Envy and Sam Weston)

Hot Creations welcome the legendary Danny Tenaglia, as he delivers his first piece of solo produced music for more than a decade. On remix duty is one of the greatest DJs to grace the electronic music scene, Carl Cox, alongside exceptional New Jersey house producer Harry Romero. Renowned as a mainstay in the house music scene due to his extensive back catalogue and iconic parties in Miami and Ibiza, Danny Tenaglia delivers a Don’t Turn Your Back to start proceedings. A slice of tuff New York house, it’s the rustling hi hats, infectious vocal and staggered percussion that give this a typical Tenaglia feel. One of America’s finest producers Harry Romero is up next to remix. Fast-paced with a subtly changing groove, it’s the addition of a John Scarpulla’s saxophone solo that creates a fiesta feel. Working together again, Scarpulla is Diana Ross' tour saxophonist who has featured in Harry’s previous tracks including Mongobonix. Awesome Soundwave head honcho Carl Cox serves up the next remix: a dynamic, heritage sounding house cut with flecks of glitchy acid and whirling synths, before his alternative ASW remix comes through with punchy kicks and more underlying acid tones.

The DJs Pareja have been flagging they’re a DJ duo in love long before the recent trend. ‘Pareja’ literally translates as ‘couple’, and that is just how Diego and Mariano do life; in tandem. It may not seem so radical these days, but the Pareja’s have been unapologetically queer trailblazers in their hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina - throwing raves and putting out pop dance records for decades. It took us years to get these boys to come play for us in San Francisco, but when they finally did, minutes off the plane we were hugging and shedding a little tear in front of the Castro theatre sign. I always knew that one day we would get them on the label, and this EP is a product of how far this new gay techno underground has come. So it is with great pleasure we present 4 tracks produced south of the Equator, mixed for the gods, with some signature vocals and some sounds we’ve never heard from these Argy boys sleeping in a Queen bed.

Kntrl, who splits his time between sundrenched Malta and the slightly less summery, but musically highly inspirational Berlin, present his OFF-debut.

Luca Agnelli, hot on the heels of celebrated releases on Soma, Drumcode or his own Etruria Beat imprint, delivers a smashing peaktime techno interpretation, reconnecting the EP to OFF's natural habitat, the club.

Leifur James released his debut album A Louder Silence in October 2018 on Late Night Tales original artist label Night Time Stories; home to Texan trio Khruangbin and the iconic Late Night Tales series. The record attracted immediate support from Pitchfork, KEXP, XLR8R, Mixmag 8/10, Future Music UK 9/10, Electronic Sound 9/10. In April 2019 ‘Wurlitzer’ was the first piece of music he revealed from a new creative period after those sessions. The video was created by animator/director Balázs Simon, premiering on Boiler Room and was nominated for the BMVA Berlin Music Video Awards in the experimental music category, airing at the British Film Insitute BFI Southbank London.

Now in September 2019 he has prepared a remix EP 12" of the debut album A Louder Silence, featuring a slew of the finest musicians in electronic music today. Blueberry Records founder FaltyDL aka Drew Lustman comes first with a deep, skipping 2-stepping reversion of Mumma Don’t Tell. Bruce coming off the back of his hugely well received debut album for Hessle Audio has a “resymph” of Osho in typical mind-bending austere electronic style. Whities producer and Tirzah/Mica Levi collaborator Coby Sey reconstructs Suns of Gold with his sampler, and also accompanying it, is Leifur’s own remix of suns of Gold.

'Celestial' is the first EP by Themisto Man, a new project from Tr One. Over four tracks, he delivers tough house and techno, underscored by seductive melodies. The sticker image is of a disused power facility somewhere in southern Ireland, which Themisto Man now uses to beam his music into the cosmos.'

The Barcelona based record store and label run by DJ Bruce Lee is very proud to release the first work from TR, a well known DJ in the Madrid underground scene.
TR was responsible for one of the remixes from the first release on the label. That remix was techno, but his tastes embrace many different styles as we can see now.
"Multi EP" is the second release on Rhythm Control Barcelona where TR, colaborates with Causmin Lizou on the keyboard for the B side tracks.
The A side contains 2 90's infuenced breaks and electro tracks titled "Bassaur" and "EAH (Part 1,2 & 3)".
The B side contains 2 Detroit influenced house tracks, "Fingers De Pollo" and "Gitroit Highlights".

A producer worth following without a doubt!

Arriving unannounced in November of last year, Nocturnal Sunshine dropped her ‘Foundation’ EP; a bold move from an artist firmly front and center, in control of her own creative destiny. Premiered by Billboard, lead track ‘Foundation’ now receives two remixes from Canadian duo, UNDERHER and Trance Wax originator Ejeca

Curating an EP with a clear B-line for the dancefloor, Nocturnal Sunshine welcomes each remixer in such a way, that we see each exercise their own creative prowess to its fullest potential. Ejeca brings uncompromising, body-shuddering kicks with the initiation of his suspense-filled and in places, harrowing rework; this one is in the locker, destined for big rooms and warehouses worldwide.

Alongside Ejeca, from across the pond, Canada’s UNDERHER hit the sweet spot with a bumping house inspired retake, laced with attitude.

The debut release from US label Perpetual Rhythms comes in the shape of an EP of collaborations and single drops entitled Secret Elements. Firecracker boss Linkwood provides some extra Chi-Town edge to the sombre melodies and science fiction synths of Specter & Chicagodeep's "Sonic Pulse" on his opening edit, whilst Chicagodeep's "Restless Nights" generates a mix of spacey, laid back vibes. The bleepy pulses of Taelue's "Social Anxiety" sounds close to what an Aphex Twin and Jerome Sydenham & Kerri Chandler house collaboration would result in, while the single rimshots and wallowing pads of "Rough Access Point" give the track a distinctly lonesome ambience.

All three tracks have got that classic quality to them that'll please those deep and tech house afficionados. Naturally influenced by the golden age of the late 90's uk sound, Gunnter has digested it down to three to-the-point weapons, all endowed with the 3 sacred elements of proper tech house : jacking beats, wonky basslines and deep chords. The proof's in the pudding... drop the needle on the rekkid !

Gianluca Rattalino with his first vinyl release wants to present the freshness and elegance that his sound represents. A record to be enjoyed and listened to each detail in order to understand how all tracks communicate. To complete this cut there is also a remix, very dark in every detail and that complies with the conception of the vinyl meaning. The remix is signed by the producer Background (Little Helpers / Baile Musik / Monique Musique).

Helmed by Cristiano Cellu and Simone M, Be Apart is an emerging Italian label with a penchant the more discerning side of house and techno. Based in Florence, the imprint kicked off only recently courtesy of an an auspicious V/A that saw the aforementioned label heads featured alongside the likes of Nadia Popoff, Marko Nastic and Peter Makto & Gregor S. For their latest installment, Cellu and Simone M team up once more on the electrifying sounds of the Phaconto EP.
A boisterous cut of peak-time techno, the title track is an evocative track that's without doubt been made with the night's most passionate moments in mind. Although it starts off on a relatively innocuous tip, it soon morphs into a baseline-led banger, the likes of which is yearning to be played on a vast soundsystem. A surefire call for dancefloor destruction, 'Phaconto' offers a fitting insight into two producers who clearly have a clear understanding in the studio.
On the flip side of the vinyl-only release is Federico Grazzini's remix. Ibiza regulars will be all too aware of Grazzini's talents, and aside from being a resident at Zoo, he's also a resident at Florence's best known nightspot, Tenax. Grazzini keeps the original's eerie vibe intact on his interpretation, but adds some clever drums and a heightened sense of suspense that elevates it to further levels still. Be Apart's latest release sure ain't subtle - but that my friend, is exactly the point. If you're after something that's sure to move the floor this weather, then look no further.

After a short hiatus, the mysterious TZU series continues! TZU04 once again provides 4 tried and tested club cuts! Looking to follow in the footsteps of its predecessors this record is set to fly off the shelves and onto the dance floor.

LumièresLaNuit is glad to welcome Istanbul-based duo Bärtaub (Mutlu San & Batuhan Güler) for the 6th release of the label. As
in most of the duos, each of the members has his speciality. Whereas Mutlu focuses primarely on the music production, Batu is
known by Istanbul's house/techno aficionados as a restless DJ.
On the A side, Entropy reveals a moveable techno feast marked by a distanced horn. On the B-side, Rhizome features a bubbly
feeling with insistent though indistinct voice-like cuts led by a determined bassline and a lifting synth melody which travels to
various undetermined directions, proposing a fair groove for unfair times. The EP concludes with Strata, an amalgam of spoken
words, synths and clear beats offering a solid and relaxing mood that leads to a satisfying exit from this groovy forest.
Bärtaub's debut EP is called Rhizome (type of plant root) not without reason. Beats, melodies and bassline jump over, crawl
under and draw apart from each other in unexpected and non-hierarchical ways. In the end, they all come together in a harmonious
manner that creates an overall of excitingly playful forest-like atmosphere.
Mutlu San is a techno producer & DJ, sound designer and soundtrack artist from Istanbul. In 2014, hw sounddesigned the movie
Watch My Soundtracks - Anarchic Harmony, which will be released as a soundtrack album on his imprint Polyfisch Musik. In 2015,
Mutlu released his Leidenfrost EP (PTR003) on Petra Digital/Vinyl that includes a remix by John Tejada.
Batuhan Güler is a well established DJ in Istanbul. As one of the guys who kickstarted Indigo Club (2004), Batu was - along with
his longtime associate Onur Özer - one of its resident DJs. He also used to play at Istanbul's finest clubs Wake Up Call as well and
Suma Beach, where he run his Hard Case Scenario partie series. Not long ago, he has begun operating as music director and
resident DJ at Istanbul's Hütte club.

Not An Animal return with their 2nd installment, this time from
'Ess O Ess' (aka Chris Stoker and Jamie Blanco). Their original offering, Cantillate, isn't an easy beast to identify, being equal parts Swamp-Rock and Techno. Imagine you've stumbled across an ephedrine and moonshine fueled rave in a deep Louisiana bayoux in the year 3000, and you're close. Add an out-there vocal refrain, and you'll start to appreciate why this is a particularly distinct record. Relocate said rave to a some kind of Space Ship hitting hyperspace, with photon torpedoes fully armed, and you'll suddenly find yourself with the first remix, as created by Ene Records owner Chida. Continuing the hybrid vibes, the final remix as provided by man of the moment "Suzanne Kraft" (yes, man), takes a juxtaposed tropical techno (with added dub) approach to his interpretation. The overall effect of all 3 mixes is a pleasingly schizophrenic release which drips with multiple personalities.

Miami's Greg Beato rolling it out on his own Ni Un Pero label. 2 tough old school machine jams on this one. Up there with the best of his LIES & Apron output and certainly club ready! Limited edition 12". SICK TIP!

Italian Techno inspiration Marco Faraone is finally back with a own release on his UNCAGE imprint after a four year solo release hiatus, he delivers another mighty offering, as expected. Next to his hard hitting new single, big remixes come from legends of the underground in Mark Broom, Efdemin and Mike Huckaby. 'Matter of Perspective' is the original single and is an urgent techno banger with heavy kick drums and wild, frazzled synth lines, industrial groans and textures add weight and darkness as this most unrelenting cut races into the night. Long time UK techno stalwart, Mark Broom then flips the track into something more stripped back and bouncy, but with a raved up energy that never lets up and keeps you on your toes. German studio wizard Efdemin then brings all his years of clever trickery to a remix which is said to be one of his last remixes for a while (so soak it up whilst you can), it is perfectly deep and hypnotic, with curious synth sounds and multi-layered keys bringing the intensity. Last of all, Detroit great Mike Huckaby layers in plenty of his trademark dub techno grit, smoky textures and catchy claps to finish off what is a standout EP on UNCAGE.

With Topping describing the EP’s title track as the “heaviest” thing he’s ever produced, ‘Dungeon Freak’ is an unrelenting slab of rave techno, with Daddy Dino’s deadpan, spoken-word vocals only adding to it’s dark aura. Similarly cold and heavy, ‘Snide’ is a chunky, metallic number that continues to build in intensity across its seven minutes. “This EP is more like the vibe of ‘Watch What Your Doing’ EP. The title track is so dark, with mad ravey synths but the bit I’m most excited about is the vocal!

“The phrase ‘the techno dungeon’ is really just a daft thing me and mates used to say years ago about when you are locked on the dancefloor and can’t leave because your so into the music. So it’s more a metaphorical place in your mind, than it is an actual dungeon or venue!”

Brooklyn based 369 Records returns with its second release, a split 12'' featuring artist Co La and Jeremy Hyman.

Late September 2019 will see the release of DJ W!LD Shaun Reeves' collaborative EP, "Bag of Bones" on Vision Quest Special Edition, the vinyl only arm of Visionquest.

No strangers to working together, the pair have cooked up an excellent EP for their latest outing, comprised of 4 heady, floor ready cuts. Shaun Reeves, co-head of Visionquest, is a Detroiter turned Berliner who has been at the forefront of the industry for over a decade. An instrumental part of both cities and everywhere in between he has been playing the top clubs and festivals his entire career. Reeves has released on labels ranging from Raum...musik to Wolf + Lamb and of course Visionquest, with artists like Seth Troxler and Maayan Nidam. DJ W!LD is as well a time tested veteran of the game who grew up listening to Laurent Garnier dj in his home town of Dijon, France. A life long record collector, he has played all over the world at the most prestigious clubs including Fabric, Panorama Bar and Amnesia for events ranging from Cocoon to Circoloco. DJ W!LD runs two labels, the W label and DAILYCID and has released on REKIDS offshoot, Cabin Fever, One Records, 2020 Vision and Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano's Ral series.

On the first track, "Bag of Bones", the EP starts out with a banging kick, a choppy percussion loop, floating atmospherics and a sound like a distant train or a car horn honking moments before impact. Low sub bass is complimented by a mid range bass line that drives the track forward. This leads to a subtle break down, when the track flips on it's head and jumps back in with a rising rush, a new bassline, peculiar vocal snippets and some bouncing hi hats skittering side to side.

Track two, "Taima", starts with a heavily phased sample that almost sounds like recorded room noise. Swinging percussion pops in with a punchy bass line and a mean kick that all gets thrown around by a mechanical machine sound that rips in and out with bleeps that sound like feedback from some sort of lunar device. A repeated, bleepy key loop emerges, balancing all the percussion and propels the track forward. It's hypnotic, deep and banging all at the same time.

"Chronicals of Narnia" starts with a big kick and a hat, snare/clap combo that's drenched in vinyl dirt and phase. A beautiful ambient texture pad drops in that lifts the vibe of the track without it getting bogged down or muddled by the atmospherics, only to snap back into the original tough beat with a fat pocket.

The EP finishes with "Purple Urkle", which starts with tough percussion, again doused in this amazingly overdriven phased/flanged texture. Other seemingly found sounds jolt in and out all around the audio spectrum while a distant pad rides in the background, sounding like it might be sampled from an old classical vinyl. The EP is another welcome addition to VQSE, drenched in its own grit and unique sound it's sure to please listeners and dancers from all ends of the musical spectrum.

'Eagles & Butterflies has taken storm in electronic wonderland' - Boiler Room Arpeggiator was originally titled '14 minutes of Arps' and its exactly that. Its one of the simplest tracks I'v ever made with probably only 8 layers that your weaves in and out the whole way through, really love the subtleness of this track where at the same time it is also a beast! Oyeme is maybe the E&B sound people are familiar with, big marimba melodies, fat sub and rolling hats with a big break, love this one Prophet was originally just an experiment when i purchased a prophet 6, its a little crazy and pretty full on, love the funky bass in the one from the SH 101. All the parts for this where recorded in a few takes live and two whole track was made in 2 hours!

The Wrecks boys and Australian multi-disciplinary fashion/music/design-house had been orbiting each other for years with similar styles and taste (see Luca Lozano's 'King Blade EP' as proof). It only took the well timed and serendipitous sending of demos from mutual friend Roza Terenzi to seal the deal and concept of the split release and thus KWXPR001 was born. The 4 tracker is typical of both labels direction and even more so the signature style of Terenzi's bleepy and sharp-as-a-knife productions. The two original tracks 'Metal Glo' and 'Allstarz' are representative of Roza's mutant production style, taking in electro, breaks and futuristic atmospheres and show off the flair and confidence of the rising star from Perth.

UK duo Wayward continue to turn heads after a big 2018 and return with a fresh new EP that features a remix from cult minimal man, Voigtmann. 

 For their latest offering, they turn once more to Silver Bear Recordings as newly announced co managers of the label and in the process remind us of the depth and talent that remains a hallmark of their output.  Opener 'The Energy' is a driving cut with lush drum layers carrying you along as distant pads flesh out the groove. Soft female whispers add layers of soul and the whole thing will make close-knit floors go off. 'Space Marines' then gets more edgy, with techno-leaning drums and freaky samples that make for a pumping but classy groove, finished in style by some heavenly sounding, uplifting pads. Voigtmann is a long time underground figure, releasing on a range of vital labels and has a superbly reduced sound, showcased here on his druggy, infectious remix. Notable for its swirling pads and zoned out vibes, it rounds off another expert Wayward release.

With his last EP offering on Keinemusik, &ME displayed himself once again as supplier of anthems that easily reconcile style with
general floor purpose. You would think, such an universal and inexhaustible tune as this very After Dark' can only be a lucky hit.
But no, he's knocking out the classic material just like that. Another example Catalog number KM028, his brandnew Trilogy' EP.

The titletrack on A initially places a synth arpeggio behind a kick that in dryness is hardly to excel. The beat of "Trilogy" is then
seasoned with rimshot patterns until the saturated bassdrum comes in and paves the way to the dancefloor. &ME even refines his knack for stoic grooves on this jam and once again shows his sure feeling for suitable vocal features. Sabotas croon comes devoid of big gestures and still knows the ropes to appeal to the collective mentality of a clubcrowd.

On the flipside, Woods' is living up to its name from the very beginning. Woody percussions are thumping within an almost
subtropical scenario that's frequently pervaded by mighty synth clouds. And once again, there's an arpeggio sneaking in that at some point is taking the lead in this strictly instrumental affair. Add a break building that will educe a floor's complete euphoric potential without going for the rather mindless escalation and there you have it: a B-side that's actually more of an A-competitor.

Following his debut on Phantasy earlier in 2019, Joshua James returns to the label with ‘Journeys In Love’, complimented by a propulsive remix from Joe Goddard. Flipping the ruthless sleaze and hi-NRG of ‘Coarse’ on its head, the XOYO and Rinse FM resident presents a release that soundtracks the deeper, more vulnerable and always joyous aspects of London’s queer nightlife culture. ‘Journeys In Love’ lands with immediate effect, building steadily and confidently around a trippy sample and the hugely pleasurable push-and-pull of James’ synths. Breathing deeply and suspended in red-light, James’ new production tastefully recalls the late-hour, sensual attitude classic NYC deep house, while transmissions of a bottom-heavy bass weight anchor the track in the capital’s defiant after-hours scene. As a digital exclusive, the Super Drama remix utilises skittering percussion and cymbal rushes to drive things forward, dissolving with a playful acid coda.
Needing little introduction, Hot Chip and Two Bears co-founder Joe Goddard delivers a soaring and complementary reinterpretation of ‘Journeys In Love’, one built on halcyon, analogue sounds and further bathed in ecstasy and melancholy.

Fifth Interval gather together some of the most forward thinking minds in the dub techno sphere for this various artists EP. Those already acquainted with the label will be familiar with the likes of Federsen and Tomas Rubeck, who headed up the first and second releases respectively. They are joined by dub techno luminary Brendon Moller, aka Beat Pharmacy and Alessandro Crimi, for this four tracker of perfectly contrasting arrangements.
Federsen opens the proceedings with the sunset sequence of Bay Blues, cascading keys rolling through the gaps in a subtly broken drum arrangement, making for effortless and captivating listening. Beat Pharmacy contributes his first original material to the label after a brace of remixes last year. Showing true mastery of the board, chromed chord stabs are pushed and pulled around the mix in true dubwise style, drifting over a malleable bassline that packs a serious punch.
On the flip side, Tomas Rubeck crafts a tightly woven backdrop of constantly evolving, organic atmospherics and powerful drum work for IO, and this muscular workout is perfectly contrasted by the swung grooves and kaleidoscopic synthesis of Alessandro Crimi's Fractal Clouds, which closes the EP.

MUZI cartel is closing the summer with their second VA vinyl-only release. The A-side covers two Italian artists, beginning with ROWLE co-founder Dubfluss on the A1. A smooth entry into his world called ‘Milow’, covered in evolving pads and an embracing bass line. The A2 is by Jamahr, a groundbreaking duo, crushing the floor with ‘Ice Shelf’. Jack's House Recordingslaunched by long serving island resident DJ and producer Clara Da Costa, is a new label born out of Ibiza, which also boasts a successful weekly prime time live radio show that focuses mainly on exclusives and vinyl releases, broadcasted on the award winning Ibiza Sonica. Jack's House also hosts parties at the worlds most famous club, Space for Carl Cox. This first release comes from the talented and well respected, Alex Arnout from Dogmatik Records. Alex has had numerous releases over the years on many other respected labels such as One Records and the Fuse imprint. He is also known for launching, nurturing and finding good talent. This 4 track EP fully demonstrates Alex's versatility in the studio by offering 4 distinctive quality productions which can only be described as true house, and underground house music, made with integrity.

Sub Club and Nautilus Rising present our fifth release, courtesy of Love Over Entropy. Four tracks tried and tested on our dance floor at 22 Jamaica Street by our beloved Saturday night residents. Influenced by train journeys, passing landscapes, hiking and over 20 years experience in the studio.

AdMaiora hits release number 20 in style with a fresh EP from Romanian established duo NTFO which includes two superb remixes by Lauren Lo Sung and Ilario Liburni. The guys of NTFO (Jargon, 20/20 Vision, Objectivity) are familiar faces for the label as we had the pleasure to release their remix of Ray Okpara's latest 'Sligerstai' which got tons of positive feedback and is currently dominating our Beatport top 10. Now they return with 'Lusy EP' - a lush pleasure of deep house vibes infused with their very own tech groove trademark.

Opener 'Lusy' rotates around a simple but effective shaken groove with thorny kicks and a super crafted sub bassline. The main vocal sample only appears in the right moments and adds a extra sense of elegance to the wandering synths and pads.
Up next, 'Unvelied' goes more minimal for a rubbery tech house piece where little jumbled percussion are immersed into a dark dimensions of gloomy bass and low freaky vocals. The electric synths give an extra spin to the track, derivering a slick house number and we're sure that the melody will stuck in your head for a long time.

On the flip side we have Liverpool's rising talent Lauren Lo Sung on remix duties for 'Lusy'. For Lauren, 2017 was her biggest year so far and 2018 is proving even better. She is consistently delivering well treated club hits on labels such as DJ Steaw's Rutilance, Vatos Locos and Circus, also co-founding her very own 'eleven records' and running sell-out LOLiFE parties in Liverpool, UK.  Lauren's deep stripped-back style focuses on, dub techno with a fresh, organic housy feel and this remix for 'Lusy' is no exception. With a crescendo hands-in-the-air version, Lauren arranges the remix on a pluck that dominates the track above teasing drums and intergalactic pads. A one-to-watch remix from one of the ones to watch stars of the near future.

Lastly goes the remix from Italo-Belgian Ilario Liburni who close the EP with a chunky and funky interpretation of 'Lusy'. Ilario had some massive vinyl hits lately and he also dedicates a lot of efforts on his own Invade and Cardinal labels. His version is dreamy and driving with bubbling synths and an infectious sense of loopines until the breakdown comes in with vague lo-fi synths and strings before it drops with the whispery vocals lending it into a late night feel.

After delivering a gorgeous gem in Nebulae’s last release, Sound Synthesis is back in the house with a 4 track EP, carrying us through an elegantly melancholic cosmic field, dressed with an intense electro flavor and a pinch of acid rawness.

For COS_MOS's next trick they serve up a special 12” that features a brand new single from M>O>S super group R-A-G, also known as MaSpaventi, Aroy Dee and G-String. It comes backed with a re-release of one of the key tracks of the previously released Crystal Maze album on aDepth Audio. A fierce and full 45rpm re-cut of 'Dr Claw' that has been a secret weapon of Aroy Dee for many years. It's a raw cosmic adventure, with warm solar winds blowing over prickly drums. Twisted bass and knotted pads wrap round the groove as a detuned lead synth heads into a Legowelt-ish future. 'Larry Venom', stirs things up with a deconstructed, off kilter mix of beeps and drones with marching drums adding to the feeling that this is a robot party in meltdown. This is a brilliantly left of centre EP of intergalactic house.

For their final release of 2018, Planet E present DJ Deep & Traumer's remixes of Klauss & Craig, the collaboration between Argentinian synth ensemble Klauss and Carl Craig, which debuted with the 'Momentum' EP earlier in the year. Out November 30th, the three-track remix EP's origins were as a pair of spec mixes by DJ Deep (Cyril Etienne) and his regular collaborator Roman Poncet aka Traumer. The duo found inspiration from the original Klauss & Craig EP that led to spontaneous experiments on their own remixes. Soon a trio of versions emerged, with two by the duo together, and an additional solo mix by Poncet under his Traumer alias. Etienne sent their work to Craig, who immediately decided to give them their own release on Planet E, in turn helping Etienne achieve one of his own dreams to release on the legendary Detroit label. Weaving intricate percussive themes with analogue melodies they deliver two takes on 'Repeat After Me' - 'Free Your Mind' and 'Free Your Soul' - before Traumer, inspired by the process, goes on his own for the final track 'Repeat After Me - Reduced Mind', creating undulating bass loops which glide under warm pads.

Max Duke's first LP “My Sins” is a journey between house and Techno via electronica, with a unique french house touch that forms an unusual and cohesive debut album. It’s the sound of the musical universe and the influences that have taken hold of the french artist. The album unfolds over the course of 11 tracks, each piece serving as a building block and the result of many months of Max’s work. It is the product of experimenting in the studio, seizing the mood of the moment and reflecting on life experiences. Each song has its own story and helps to complete and close the circle of this captivating musical journey. Guitar, piano and synths are his words in the story; the channel that perfectly transmits all the emotions and feelings bottled up in the album. The range of moods, tempos, impressions, sounds and rhythms oscillates between
downtempo and techno with hints of breaks and house.
Straight up dancefloor cuts like “Almost Done”, “Echoes” and title track “My Sins” rub shoulders with the closed-eye mind wandering soundtrack of “Covered”. “A New Reality” emerges as a tribute to 90s trance. The two sections of “Characters” explore an instrumental middle ground between almost orchestral and minimalism. “My Sins” is the work of an artist in constant movement and evolution who opens the door to his unique world in full. The album will be released 30th September on Redlight Music.

Newcastle-born DJ and producer Patrick Topping has unveiled accomplished new EP ‘Turbo Time EP’ , out 9th August via his own TRICK label.

The groove-laden three-track release represents a clear departure from the darker techno sound of TRICK’s maiden release ‘Watch What Ya Doing’ - further demonstrating Topping’s versatility as a producer. Kicking off proceedings, the EP’s title track is underpinned by an infectious vocal sample and the funkiest of beats. While over on the B-side, ‘Let Wa Gan’ is a darker, moodier number and ‘Galaxy’, featuring the scintillating vocals of Liset Alea, is a celestial melodic stomper. The collaboration with Liset came about after Topping heard her vocals on Alex Kid’s ‘Don’t Hide It’. The track quickly became a staple in his sets and he made the decision to reach out to the Cuban-born singer shortly after.

rRoxymore's long-anticipated debut album, Face To Phase, was born of her annual creative hibernation practice. Whereas her previous appearances for Don't Be Afraid - Thoughts Of An Introvert, Parts 1 & 2 - revealed inner worlds of saturated colour and natural expressiveness, she retreated into her studio at the turn of winter 2018 occupied with the idea of dismantling the dancefloor-centric pressure paradigm.


The resulting album, Face to Phase, finds rRoxymore methodically and mindfully stripping back to fundamentals: rumbling minimalist dub, sparse polymetric drums, boldy unpredictable melodic narratives and subtleties which hover out-of-reach or disappear into vapour. Forged by the spirit of club music cultures, Face To Phase favours deep listening; resisting the temptation to reflect on the past or project towards the future, it's an album that is firmly rooted in the contemporary.


Sparked by her own archive of field recordings, and produced primarily but not exclusively in the box, Face To Phase adds several facets to rRoxymore's already wide repertoire. The pensive and beatless opener "Home Is Where The Music Is" was inspired by her longtime friend Planningtorock, while "Forward Flamingo" is a spiraling dream-state of house music dissociation; elsewhere "Energy Points" remains anchored to the ocean floor, radiating heavy dub waves, "Passages" is a ghoulish skeleton of UK break beats, "What's The Plan" closes the album in a blissfully blunted fashion, while twisting, shape-shifting rhythms push and pulse "PPS21" into series of ever-evolving shapes and forms.


Through and in between the eight songs of Face To Phase, rRoxymore fortifies her status as a seasoned artist, grounded by over a decade of live performance and touring, collaboration, composition and experimentation. With a new live performance collaboration with a percussionist set to debut the LP at Atonal on 1st September, rRoxymore is primed to expand her reputation even further as one of the most vital and distinctive artists on the fringes of contemporary club culture.

Bontan makes an eagerly anticipated return to Crosstown Rebels with 10 days, a scintillating two track release that features a stunning remix from Osunlade.

10 Days begins things in an emotive fashion, as rustling hi hats pave the way for featured vocalist Bengle to state, “ten more days”. This echoes before a bleepy yet similarly driving kick wobbles along, as the sample plays out, to form an emotional, dance-ready cut. Osunlade’s Yoruba Soul remix is a similarly moving piece, as warm pads are coupled with a dubby kick, before the same poignant vocal calls upon us in a heartrending manner.

UK native ​Bontan has produced a number of the scene’s standout tracks. A regular on the likes of Hot Creations, Circus Recordings and Crosstown Rebels, his releases ‘Call You Back’ and ‘The First Time’ furthered his worldwide reputation as a breaking act. Such an ear for the perfect dancefloor record has not relented, as he continues to push his melodic, acid driven sound in an ever-growing direction, one that traverses the many forms of house and techno alike. ​Osunlade ​is a musician and producer, an artist who has been releasing records for a decade now. Someone with many strings to his bow, he has produced eight albums and debuted on Innervisions in 2012 with a three-track remix package of his esteemed Envision vinyl release.

Hot Creations welcome an incredible collaboration from four of the house scene’s most talked about artists, as Jean Pierre, Jesse Calosso, Harvard Bass and Kid Enigma team up on the mighty Krispy.
The release begins with the driving, high-tempo title cut. A raw kick is complemented by the infectious vocals from Kid Enigma, as whistling keys are aided by intermittent pads. Bogus completes the EP in a similar fashion: pronounced kicks merge on whip-like percussion, as the BPM ratchets up with the help of fizzing hi hats and another pumping vocal.

Jean Pierre is no stranger to the production realm, having found fame on some of the scenes most respected imprints, including Cuttin Headz, Defected and Desolat. Another affiliate of The Martinez Brothers’ Cuttin Headz, Jesse Calosso has released a selection of quality releases on the label, as well as a standout EP on Tuskegee. Harvard Bass’ knack for the perfect dancefloor melody has been picked up by the biggest labels in the game including Relief, Turbo Recordings, Saved, Do Not Sleep and VIVA Music. Having worked with many of his contemporaries in recent years, Kid Enigma has previously collaborated with Mat.Joe and Nathan Barato, releasing on the likes of Kaluki and Defected in the process. He also released on Hot Creations earlier this year, featuring on the huge Back & Forth from DJ Sneak and Jesse Perez.

Radio Slave enlists two heavyweights remixes from Dixon and Underground Resistance, who reimagine 'Trans' - the twisted, bass-driven cut on Radio Slave's excellent inaugural album.

First up, Innervisions co-founder Dixon offers an inspired retouch containing an amalgamation of cosmic synth arpeggios, each one unfolding in a unique way as the track develops, supported by a prominent vacillating bassline.

On the flip, Detroit techno pioneers Underground Resistance provide a 'Hamtramck' remix features crunchy modulated synths and heavily delayed vocal slices that duck in and out before funk influenced guitar licks resonate alongside a plethora of dark effects.

Following the success of the now sold out Freundchen EP, True Romance revisits the disco anthem with this hot hot hot trio of remixes, right in time for the summer. On the A side, Red Rack'Em puts Freundchen through his cut and paste wizardry delivering a heavily filtered, bass heavy, hypnotic disco version. On the flip, Lauer cranks up the groove and unleashes the pianos for a classy house rendition that oozes sunshine and smiles. Russian producer Phil Gerus's gets gritty on his take, bringing the track on a mad chopped up italo road.

The 'industry' of dance music can be as soul-crushing as any other. Those thrills and spills of late, loud nights come with a best-before expiry date, after which even the most seasoned selector-producer-scenemaker begins to wrinkle their nose. To have experienced it all over 15+ years and seek to see it unfold again through fresh eyes, what sort of lunatic would willingly put themselves through that V would. A little digging will lead you toward the origin story, but sometimes the pleasure comes from the unknowing. Opt to enjoy the Silence. Silence, however, is not the focal point for V. In fact, this new form is a way to discard baggage and revitalise the process of music making. Tremors had become to show up in recent years on record labels in Glasgow and London, flickers of subterranean volcanic activity. Yet what proved to be rising was no big bang, nor even a phoenix from the ashes - but closer perhaps to a Nautilus. A relic by some standards but a pretty point of curiosity to others, slowly bobbing to the surface. Something ever-present and familiar to thousands, yet with mysteries left to be revealed. But hey - what does V stand for anyhow For Vilnius By origin and by where the heart lies, yes, although V for Vedett is also an acceptable answer given the artist's transposed second home of Belgium; so too is V for Volkswagen, given the production work put in around Frankfurt as of late. King Of Kong Records, a new venture of Artur8, Anton Klint & Edvin E. presents it’s new release, the “World Museum” EP - a modern classic from Newborn Jr.

Warsaw-based producer Adam Brocki released a string of collaborative records - with Earth Trax (Bartosz Kruczynski) for Phonica, Dopeness Galore, Echovolt and Rhythm Section, or as Private Press for Rekids and Indigo Area. His mature, carefully crafted sound, stripped yet powerful, now finds its place on King Of Kong.

“What What What” starts the EP off on a right foot: broken rhythm, clever voice snippets, cosmic pads and heavy bassline reminds of some archetypal Shake productions, off-kilter yet somehow infectious. “World Museum” rolls out relentlessly on a steady kickdrum, and again the backbone is held firmly by bass. Swirling noises come and go, adding a dash of melancholy into this club-ready tool. “NJ Public Pool” again sounds like a long-lost timeless classic, with just right amount of melody and irresistible party vibe. It’s accompanied by a moodier and denser remix from Warehouse Preservation Society (aka TK Disco and Tavish (ESP Institute)), a druggy chugger for late night and dark corners. Rounding off the EP, Yourhighness of Rollerboys & Cocktail D'Amore Records fame straightens the beat and pushes up the tempo of “What What What” to deliver a proper party stomper. A classic sound of two decades of dance music underground updated for here and now.

Mood 24 returns with the "Mood Series" various artists. For this installment we have 4 special tracks each one to suit different styles and tastes. First up we have "Nima Gorji" with his Contraction track. A groovy minimal track, repetitive but at same time brings you along through a little journey on the dance floor. "Dragutesku" gives us a deep and dark track with special little sounds here and there to bring suspense and anticipation to this wicked track. "Negru" has a more solid house style. 808 drums, sick sub bass and a jazz melodies. "Petar Cvetkovic" gives us some more tech house orientated sounds, simplistic drums, groovy rolling percs and a sick vox to wrap things up nicely.

The Black Loops remixes lend “Sense of Love” a more mischievous air, adding another layer of complexity to the EP and rounding out its character.
