Following up from their smash collaboration with live band Cotonete, Dimitri From Paris and Heartbeat records shop boss Melik Bencheikh, team up once again to launch their new label, Le HeartBeat.
In an ongoing mission to champion the live side of dance music, they locked themselves up in a studio, with the ace players of new Parisian combo, Chatobaron. The first outing on Le HeartBeat draws from the cheekiness of London’s Punk Funk, meeting with New York’s Disco Not Disco. The all acoustic performance invokes the spirits of Ian Dury, Arthur Russell, bouncing on the walls of the Paradise Garage, to enter the soul of Chatobaron’s expert players, each at the top of their game.
Dimitri gets on mixing duties and makes sure the rhythm section keeps the dancefloor busy. In his signature roller coaster style, he provides vocal and dub versions, chock full of breaks and drops.
Working with seasoned players, using the best of vintage and modern recording techniques, Le HeartBeat Records aims to bring decades of record digging culture onto todays dance floors.

Fine, the new musical playground from Johannes Albert and Tilman, announce their first release with neat & warm House loveliness for your pleasure.

Funk!!! + 3 unreleased tracks

Referring to Karel Capek's satiric 1936 novel ,,War with the Newts", the sixth record of the YAPPIN chronicles is DJ Neewt's second attempt to transfer Capek's dystopian imagery of suppression and monetarisation onto a sonic level. This EP is a pass to deep and psychedelic spheres, a clash of despair and hope, hegemony and appetite for freedom and independency, an alternation of tension and relief, of simplicity and complexity.

Distant, reverberating voices wallowing in broad synthesizer soundscapes, incisive bass lines twining percussive patterns - everything is cyclic but yet somehow progressing.

The three tracks on ,,Mud Voices" are not just functional tools to inject some trance and breaks into your DJ set, they are the creative outcome of DJ Neewt interrogating Karel Capek's view on totalitarianism, postcolonialism and social Darwinism - an attempt to put a sonic complexion to the marvelous science fiction story the Czech author had told in dismal and desperate times. - B. If Fiorious' debut single is a pounding fistful of defiant house, Honey Dijon gives 'I'm Not Defeated Pt. II' a snapping elasticated rework with her 'Fiercely Furious Dub' on this vinyl release. More than just a remix, Honey has recreated a classic Paradise Garage vibe by drafting musicians to re-record the track, with a fresh Fiorious vocal laid on top. A powerful call-to-resistance club anthem, 'I'm Not Defeated' is the debut Glitterbox single from Fiorious, now available on 12' along with instrumental and accapella versions, as well as 'Honey Dijon's Fiercely Furious Dub' and 'Honey Dijon's Fiercely Furious Dubstrumental'.

DJ, Edit entrepreneur - Record Mission Records & Record dealer extraordinaire Nick The Record continues to deliver the goods via his Natural House label...

Joining forces on this one with Jaime Read to beautifully remake an underappreciated mid-80's jam.

The A Side is all about that Natural House sound, a solid 4/4 core, hooks galore and an atmospheric vibe for maximum effect on the floor.

Over on the B, Nick turns out a classic Disco interpretation, full of tension and release it's a big, big sound & absolutely guaranteed to be a staple across the coming summer & beyond...

MVP makes a most welcome return to the Samosa Records stable with his ‘Inner Funk EP’ – a deliciously groovy four tracker that showcases this Mexican maestro’s production talents to the full!

First on the A-Side is the title track, ‘Inner Funk’ – and right away we get down to the serious business of dissecting MVP’s ‘Inner Funk’. The rolling claps and bongo slaps get you into the groove before the most sumptuous of basslines lands. Tight rhythm guitar saturates like a heavy tropical downpour, clearing to a delicately early breakdown of brass stabs and bass picks which act as the apéritif to the vocal main course. Life can be beautiful. Happiness is for everyone. It can, and it is when the melody is this good. It turns out MVP’s ‘Inner Funk’ is the most infectious of the funk family. A solid gold, platinum plated masterpiece that will have even the most reluctant of dancers on that floor. Guaranteed!
A2 brings us to ‘Movie Funk’. Take your seat in the MVP Movie Theatre as the curtains draw back and the 70s-themed thrill ride unfolds in your ears. The plot of this blockbuster is about a sultry sax and a sexy trumpet joy ride through a seedy Times Square in Midtown Manhattan. The rhythm, the bass, the disco claps are one; all wrapped up and dressed in the finest of Zoot Suits - taking you to the third act where MVP cuffs you and reads you your rights. The credits roll and you simply have to do it all over again. Movie Funk is a stone-cold box office triumph of a track.

Over to the flip side and B1 – ‘Tasty Funk’. You’ll need to bring your appetites for this one, folks. A world buffet awaits as the 118bpm rhythm starts proceedings off. Once more, an infectious bassline tantalises the taste buds whilst precision organ stabs play with the senses. The intro explodes into heavy wobbly funk bass and wicked Alto Saxophone, which is soon followed by a magnificent Afro-infused vocal chorus that really is the cherry on top of this marvellously delicious cake. Transcendent. Heavenly. If music be the food of love, play this. A concoction of groovy atmospheric, funk-infused perfection is what it is.

Closing the EP off is B2 – ‘Tribe Funk’, a trademark MVP groove (one only this master is capable of) which kicks off with a driving fretless bass and filtered cymbals which cleverly conceal the true nature of this track. A daring, swirling heady mix of afro-horns, subtle steel drums and hypnotic organ chords; constructed with a beat so damn sexy you could dress it up and take it to dinner. The melody is a carefully constructed love potion that, once you drink it, it’ll have you under its spell forever. You can’t fight it, and you won’t fight it. Tribe Funk gets under your skin, into your brain and moves your legs for you. We dare you to drink!

Samosa Records have got MVP at the peak of his game with the ‘Inner Funk EP’. The sound of all four tracks is spectacular; a real credit to MVPs production skills and Samosa Records’ mastering standards. This is a slice of vinyl you simply must own – but be quick. This is sure to be a hot seller which will fly out of record stores!

The 2nd solo EP by Bielefeld’s finest RR on Feuilleton is bringing jazzy & classic house music feels toge-ther with a fresh & futuristic twist on 5 cuts - dedicated to the fine stereo systems & sophisticated dancefloors on the planet. Toy Tonics regulars and Munich based House & Disco specialists Coeo step up for their 'Dance Routines' on the vinyl-only Resista.

On the A side is a Gabonese Boogie weapon with a beyond funky bassline and body-rocking drums mixed with an amazing vocal, triumphant horns and syncopated guitar hits.

Over on the B1, a rolling Giorgio Morode-esque Disco synth bass is layered with jacking Proto House drums and Arabic chanting for a track that wouldn't be amiss in a Hot Mix 5 show.

Finally the B2 whips up a percussion frenzy with a deep droning bass stab and a hypnotic call and response vocal.

As always the artwork has been completed by the very talented Pedro Carvalho de Almeida.

Owl Records has another 12" that will get your head swiveling and booty shaking. It comes from the BBC 6 Music host, TV legend turned funk and soul tastemaker Craig Charles who has put totters a couple of sizzling edits. First up he layers a classic Hot Chocolate sample over a rolling and rubbery beat and bassline that will pump any dance floor. On the flip is a more slow and seductive sound in 'Rok On' with its funky bass and sleazy vocals over low-slung and slo-mo beats. Add in the playful trumpets and muted string and you have a brilliantly curious and compelling cut.

Eddie C descends out of the clouds with a real fun EP to mark the 16th release from Lips & Rhythm Records.

The Canadian producer and edit wizard was last seen at the helm of his seaplane en route to the island of Madeira for surfing and sunshine.
Before he took off he left us some heat we are ready to share with you all.

The title track 'Infinite Wait' is a smooth & rolling mid-tempo flute-laced groove, while EverybodyEverybodyEverybody is a thick and chugging "acid-lite" cut that's going to thump across dance floors.

With the runway cleared for landing the 'wait' is finally over for this party record.

Forget your search for a holy grail, THIS is The Lost Ark Of The Covenant.

Mythical disco foundations from Sunshine Sound.

Label Info:
Take a journey to the dawn of DJ culture with Sunshine Sound, the NY imprint that through a series of genre defining Disco Edits became recognised as the 'Birthplace of the Edit'.

These 'Disco Adjustments' would become the hottest tracks in a DJ's crate, spawning countless bootlegs & imitations since they first appeared so many years ago.
As influential as these recordings were, most only appeared as acetate discs individually cut in mono & sold direct to DJs.
Some of these were cut in such small quantities it could be debated as to whether they ever really existed at all.
40 years later and all that remains are remakes & rumours...

...or so it was thought.

Sunshine Sound rises again to bring you a series of classic, legendary & mythical Edits.
Travel back with us to re-discover monumental works that helped shape the sound of dance music as we deepen the textures of history with a series of exclusive Digital & limited Vinyl releases selected from the vault.
Sunshine Sound releases are distributed by Moonshine Sound, bringing you antiquities of historical Disconificance.

A 4-way of their most wanted secret weapons for the faithful, these re-tailored & timeless classics are the sonic manifesto for preserving those good ol' Dirty Basements.

22 year old producer from East London with three tracker of percussive house and beats.

Sometimes there's a huge talent out there and you desperately want the whole universe to discover it. That's pretty much the story of Parisian label Chuwanaga with young French artist Koji Ono, composer and producer of these four precisely crafted gems, recording everything by himself. Brilliantly mixed by Greita from Disques Flegon, his first EP Incognito is the product of a lot of influences, from Metro Area vibes to the original Britfunk sound. With an inner sense of elegance in the arrangements - something we may link to his Japanese heritage - The whole EP brings musicality back on the dancefloor. We believe this could be the beginning of a great story for this talented musician, Koji Ono emerging from the incognito shadow to the whole light of the world.

Detroit's finest Rick Wade lands on FRL Classic Edition. A true House music legend, who don’t needs any introduction, pioneer of a new deep house sounds style in the two last decades.

Here with a massive repress of one of his first ever release!
The mood is deeper an emotive house, with keys aplenty and smooth buvvling grooves! Arguably one of Rick Wade's finest records.

IIt ends, with the release of Chapter 5 and 6, the "COSMIC TEMPLE" project

by Daniele Baldelli.
Six 12" vinyls containing a total of 18 unreleased tracks inspired by the sounds of Cosmic Disco of Lazise (Verona, Italy), where Daniele Baldelli was resident from 1979 until the end of 1984. The six covers, taken together, form a unique artwork that shows the COSMIC logo interpreted by the graphic studio "Drudi Performance", the top in the Racing Design, creator of the helmets of Valentino Rossi, on this occasion became deeply involved with the music world.
Chapter 6: In TAXON he intertwined saxophone, free voices, funk, jazzy and electronics. KEVLAR is headed by a strident and wandering guitar on a carpet of percussion. 33VS45 is a piece composed to be played at 33rpm but also lends itself to be proposed in 45rpm in Daniele Baldelli's style, accustomed to propose records played at the wrong speed for unforeseen effects.

As the head of Berlin's eminently respected OYE Records, it's no surprise Markus "Delfonic" Lindner would come correct with the edit heat for his first outing on Razor-N-Tape. The record starts out smooth and summery with The Flow, a club-ready rework of an underground Jamaican disco classic, followed by the furious afro-boogie stomp of "SPF." On the b-side an extended percussion jam builds ferociously and finally drops into a lovely lesser-known revamp of a killer disco anthem. Music is Love indeed!

Remedy is Basement Jaxx’s joyous debut album from 1999. It was one of the most assured, propul-sive full-lengths the dance world had seen since Daft Punk’s Homework. A set of incredibly diverse tracks, Remedy is indebted to the raw American house of Todd Terry and Masters at Work, and even shares a penchant for Latin vibes (especially on the horn-driven “Bingo Bango” and the opener, “Rendez-Vu,” which trades a bit of salsa wiggle with infectious vocoderized disco).

Mannheim’s First Touch joins boogie aficionado Patrick Gibin’s Mother Tongue imprint for a straight nasty selection of no-nonsense modern funk - backed by a killer beatdown boogie remix from the legendary DJ Spinna ft. Reggie B. First Touch have over the past decade dedicated themselves to true, analog boogie and have been hailed as the Kings of modern Euro Funk with sought after releases on Star Creature and Omega Supreme.

Hot news: There's significant evidence that the material for Schnitzel Cuts 5 has been created on steroids and therefor unfit for serving to the general public. Those seekers of pan fried & breaded perfection should be cautious.

Both sides have been seen to cause serious energy boosts on the dance floor. The heavy low end and suspense of the 'Strategy" and the all-out string and horn extravaganza of 'Were you ready for that" make this an energy packed dish that's best served with extreme care.

After their debut release in September 2020, Tunesday
Recordings are back with their second installment, marking
the reissue of two boogie funk originals from 1984 by the
German band Trust. Particularly known for their song "It's Not
Over", the band also recorded two wonderfully brazilianin§uenced songs dubbed "Eu Melembro" and "Maracatu" which were also released on their LP "Bow Making". Moving between Funk, Boogie, Jazz and Latin, the two songs remain a trademark for the band's versatile orientation at that time.

Perfectly suited for the task, Joutro Mundo, who is known for
releases on Hello Sailor & Barefoot Beats among others, took
on the originals to cut down his very own interpretations with
modern dance§oors in mind. Many thanks to Trust for
making this reissue possible and many thanks to Dayeon
Auh for putting the vibe into the artwork

Pressed on Yellow Vinyl. Features tracks from Manoo, Atjazz, Jackson Braithwaite & Dave Anthony. HEAVY afro vibes.

RNT welcomes dusty digger extraordinaires Al-Tone, with a superlative set of rare edit gold! Known for their eponymous rework series, Al-Tone (aka Al Bumz and Tone B. Nimble) come hot out of the gate with "Feelin' Irie" a gritty Afro boogie stomper, before moving into the uptempo soul of "Simone Manuel." Flip the disc over for the guitar and clavinet-driven groove of "Groovin," and then they take us home with the Theo-esque looped sax and falsetto gallup of "Wishes." From obscurity to eternity in 4 masterful reworks!

Sophie Lloyd returns to Classic Music Company for another stunning soulful delivery, this time teaming up with Faithless vocalist Pauline Taylor on ‘Angels By My Side’. Much like Sophie’s previous works on Luke Solomon’s imprint, this record brims with the same joyous energy sure to uplift, as live recorded strings, horns and keys give an added richness to the release. With Sophie’s Classic debut ‘Calling Out’ a modern day dancefloor anthem with 10 million streams and counting, and her latest offering garnering early support from the likes of NYC legend Danny Krivit, there is no doubt ‘Angels By My Side’ will follow suit as an essential record for discerning selectors.
