House Vinyl New Releases - News

Official release for DJ RASOUL’s sought-after house gem RETURN OF THE MAD FUNK EP from 1998 – since then only a few super rare test pressings were buzzing around. One of them reached Michael Reinboth and never left his record box again…

The Return Of The Mad Funk EP is the work of California's DJ Rasoul, criminally underrated in the house community despite excellent projects on Large, 83 West, Strictly Rhythm, Leaf, Guidance, Uncut, Robsoul and others. Tastemakers like Benji Candelario, David Morales, Glenn Underground, Paul Johnson, Carl Craig, and Stacey Pullen were heavy supporters of this threetracker back in the days.

One of the most significant rare groove tracks ever recorded plus Opolopo = magic!

Headhunters 'God Made Me Funky' get a respectful and tasteful tweak where Opolopo gives it an uplifting face job for today's dance floors.
As always, additional keys and production are the standards here...proper.

On the B-side Opolopo goes towards the soulful house territory with a big and uplifting rework weak of Sylvia St. James downtempo classic 'Motherland'.

Not just edits, tweaks!

place 1 groove charts 123 Zaki Dee, Rob Mello and Luke Solomon present Heaven and Earth! We know, we know, the current re-issue wave of classic house music platters is a bit much - especially the unlawful ones with photocopied artwork.

Yes, we're back at it again with more Eddie Amador. After the success of House Music and Rise, we decided to diversify and go for a double A sided remix package with two distinctly different remixers. So please welcome Ardalan and CJ Jeff to the Yoshitoshi family! Given Ardalan's propensity for booty basslines and infectious grooves, Psycho X Girlfriend seemed like the appropriate choice for the Dirtybird affiliate. He flipped the tracked on its head by pumping it full of sub 100 Hz frequencies, mental sound effects, and even a pinch of acid.
The remix again shows this young gun's talent for creating bona fide bangers that keep the spirit of house alive.
Greek house don CJ Jeff took on 6AM, the groovy and oft-overlooked 2006 wee hours anthem from Amador.
His remix bears a massive 808 kick that floors the mix (no pun intended) into overdrive. His simple, catchy melodies capture the classic Yoshitoshi vibe beautifully.

DJ Neet & Gordon Brown Jr strikes back with their second release "Breaking Dub", a follow-up to their debut album "Research Program #1", heavily inspired by deep roots and reggae, released in 2017.

What makes this release special is the cover version of the classic Kyodai track "Breaking", released on Local Talk back in 2012. Wait a minute - A dub version of "Breaking" you say?.
Yes, you have to hear it to believe it !
While the original is built around heavy live drums, hands in the air piano chords and packs a lot of energy, this version slow things down and creates an hypnotic vibe.

The Patchouli Brothers strike back with a second edition of their edits for Basic Fingers.

On the A-side we get a big dancefloor bullet with piano luxury, euphoric vocals and 110% party vibes.
On the flip there's more of that uptempo feel-good business, just take your pick...

Ukokos & Jabco's follow up from their massive "Keep Rising All Night Long" and this time they come with double pressure
The formula remains the same though, huge gospel vocals and strong melodies merged with a soulful production from the boys.
The only difference now is the approach, gone is the hip hop and instead they deliver a more house(ish) track flipped with a disco friendly jam (you'll def recognise this one!).

Either way...still funky!

Redimension is proud to present 'Love Changed Me (Masters At Work Remixes)'. The original work was released on last year’s Metamorfosi album by Joseph Capriati, on this track, Joseph added the touch of classic house veterans Erick Kupper and Byron Stingily. This time the titans Masters At Work remixed the work and added even more value to the track with 6 different interpretations especially for RSD 2021.

Yellow Van Records follows up with the 3rd release of the label.

This time DJ Delivery splits the record with the Tokyo based house master AFAMoo.

Vinyl Only as usual.

What's Amore? Amore is a lifestyle, it's a feeling, it's an attitude. Amore is cruising down sunset boulevard in a pink Cadillac. Amore is drinking Long Island ice tea at a baby shower. Amore is high octane. High risk. High reward. That's Amore!

Rhode & Brown are back on their home label Toy Tonics where they have been almost from day one and released several EPs. The last one: “Mary’s Tool” in 2017.
This new record contains their first vocal feature ever. A brilliant house tune with vocals by german soul singer Adriano Prestel. On the A-Side they show their love for classic NY house vibes. Sax and pianos all over! All tracks basically made on the MPC and their Juno 106. On the flip you’ll find a full-on disco banger, backed with a beautiful understated sample house tune!

Since the boys cutted short their day jobs they finally started spending more time in the studio and are more creative than ever. In fact it's not long ago that they also released an EP on Swedish finest Honey Butter Records and their own label Slam City Jams.

The dudes have strong ties to Toy Tonics! Not only because one of them (Friedrich) had been working at the the label’s office for a certain time, but also because they are regular main acts on the now currently happening TOY TONICS JAMS around Europe. Where, along with Kapote, COEO and other TT artists they show their wide range of DJ skills and knowledge of dance music culture. Not being limited to house music, but going from early 70s funk and 80s underground wave stuff to the finest house sound from the 90s till now. The guys from Germany have a thing for collecting records from all around the world and make nice edits, too ).

These boys are on fire and it looks like this new EP is only the start of a new wave of Rhode & Brown

The A Side, 'Believe in Love' is a flashback tune to a time when gold fringe, hoop earrings, and suede draped the bodies of sweat-drenched partygoers.

An instant hit that evokes a familiar soulful steppers rhythm with a memorable sample.

The B side, 'Forever in My Life (Eddie C's Schneller 7" Mix)' is an edit of the celebrated live version of this classic Prince tune.
Eddie C taps into the harmonious vocals from the late, great singer, looping funky guitar rifts, crowd noise, and a soundscape that will make listeners bust out the baby powder and turn their living rooms, kitchens, and domiciles into a joy filled dance space.

Limited dinked 7" - No digital

Cinthie’s Collective Cuts sub-label of her 803 Crystal Grooves imprint returns with a fresh four- tracker from Belgium’s UC Beatz.

The find of the year Hidden amongst the master tapes for that Roberta Flack song written by Stevie was Stevie's own guide vocal, never heard of until now.. Not just a basic guide vocal, but a full on, passionate Stevie performance that makes this sound like a long lost Stevie classic, overshadowing Roberta's sweet vocal delivery, taking this soul masterpiece to new heights. With Stevie on Drums and keys also, the master at the top of his game.

On the flip side, a classy slice of Philly disco, Reflexed without the rather dated and cheesy Linda Clifford song, focusing on the killer grooves and morphing it into a horn / guitar riff laden track, hands in the air style!

Soulful house legend Timmy Regisford brings his trademark sound to DJ Spen & Thommy Davis' Quantize Recordings.

'Falling In Love' is a sumptuously sizzling heater, marrying Regisford's classic soul-laden production with Tiger Wilson's sensuous vocals. It's a combination that will ease any pains, calm any worries and bring a smile to the face, bottling up that sunshine feeling for those darker days when a little lift is needed.

Timmy then offers up three mixes to bring a real versatility to the e.p. First up, the 'Instrumental Mix' that lets Regisford's bumping bass, jazzed up piano, swelling strings and spiritual keys do the talking. Secondly, the 'Alternative Vocal Mix' switches the percussion of the original opting for more congas, shakers and bongos whilst leaving the claps at bay to give a deeper interpretation of the original. The final mix then drops the vocals of this alternate version completing what is a standout e.p. from Timmy Regisford that captures the essence of 2018's summer of love.

It’s deep in life’s darker times where the brightest lights shine. In the midst of moping and moaning, certified soul boy & DJ Lee Jeffries and producer song writer, Matt Early who has worked alongside the likes of Frankie Knuckles & Grant Nelson thought, like a lot of us: fuck this! They built a studio and enlisted a host of names to help collaborate on a new project.

Soon, they found themselves slipping back into their dancing shoes and creating serious magic. The boys’ new imprint, Lockdown Records, has one goal: to bring together house music’s greats from around the world to create – what they aren’t afraid to call – anthems.

Lockdown’s debut release is a right old groover from the two, featuring vocals from Will Bee. 'Love Is Growing Deeper' is a smile inducing house track bursting with soulful brilliance.

DJ Spen & Gary Hudgins, Opolopo and Ray Hurley step up for remixes on the weighty EP, giving their own unique energies.

Spen and Gary take things even deeper with a focus on that naughty rumbling bass while Opolopo gets extremely groovy with a tantalizing jam over the track.

It’s a real sign of the range of styles the label is prepared to show off, effortlessly dishing out old school grooves and pushing them into contemporary arrangements.

With a huge Edit from Daniel Stefanik of the Butch Summer Hit No Worries and Johnny D. Power to the People Remix with live vocals by himself from his last Hit Love or Leave Me.

Hill is back with a three tracks Ep full of energetic grooves , 90s
inspired house, strong vocal!

In short - like Maurice Fulton, Fela and Miles Davis jamming together.

GAMM150 is here and it's a big one.

Rahaan is back on GAMM and this time with his buddy DJ Emanuel with some nasty (!) post punk/funk disco.
The A-side runs down a timeless Garage classic...but with a gritty twist.
The B-side is just sex, orgy and disco crammed together on black plastic. Imma Phreak is just...phreaky!

Take Away re-opens after a short hiatus with two new chefs, Swedish DJ, crate digger legend and Lighthouse resident Farsta Kalle and Samo DJ, Born Free boss and more than 100 other exotic projects on his plate.
Together they've created a three course feast for your taste buds.

It's a spicy stew for those that like it hot...

First collaboration between Lego Edit & Relative with this new
project. 12” Hand stamped copies for your summer vibes.

Ragoo Records is proud to welcome Nicola Altieri aka The Mechanical Man on
RGT05, the latest installment of the series curated by the label.
The Mechanical Man delivers a stunning tape that shows his ability and creativity in
messing with his beloved MPC sampler and Casio synths. “Harmony & Love” is a
journey into The Mechanical Man’s world, where broken rhythms, funky basslines,
ethereal pads, slowed down beats and soulful vocals are perfectly blended.
With this groovy eight track tape The Mechanical Man shows us one more time his
knowledge and culture.

After three sold-out Random Edits finally comes the fourth record of the series.

On side A Hauke returns with a familiar groovy feel-good summervibe housetrack while Sami adds
a lot of acid to some cheesy hip hop vocals.
On the flip you will find Tilman & Júlio Cruz with their usual classic house bombs until Jakob Mäder
brings us the lullaby.

A record made for dancing

We're back again with another gathering of old companions
and new faces, representing our bandwidth from intergalactic funk, mellow hip hop, bone dry warehouse stompers & all kinds of spaced out jams

Following the well acclaimed comeback on Bosconi "Gang of Fools EP" and the releases on Robsoul and Vibraphone, Fabio Della Torre and Ennio Colaci aka Minimono strike again with a double release that might be considered as a split album in 2 vinyl records named "Theory Of Strings".First of two Eps starts with the chuggy, jazzy and edgy vibe of "Get The Groove", an intelligent partial rework of an underground disco-not-disco old gem. Second cut gets more funky-filtered, bouncing and suspended with the fresh broken atmosphere of "Back in Dc" .On the B side Fabio and Ennio go back to jazziness adding more broken grooves, some twisted rhodes solo goodness and a persistent hypnotic driving feel to the track "Actually", and then ending this first part with another smooth filtered and toolish winner for the summer called Meningi. Mind the Strings and wait for the second part!

After 'Theory Of Strings (part1)' Ennio Colaci and Fabio Della Torre present the second part! The first track of A-side is the one who gives the title to the whole project, " Theory Of Strings", a dubby groover with a funky and psychedelic feel in the vein of a more coloured and dirtier Studio 1 or Soundhack. The "Feeling good vibe" keeps going relaxed and chill with the smart up and down mood of the track "Forty Degrees" while on B side Minimono get drier, minimalistic and more mysterious with the subtle after-hour jam of Rewind. This strong effort by Fabio and Ennio ends trough the cinematic atmosphere and the romantic piano notes of the gentle but raw closing act "Still Mine". Mind the Strings!

Here comes the funky assault from Florentine trio The Clover! This powerful and warm 4tracker ep shows an amazing variety of styles into a pure house music affair Each track is so unique..
