House Vinyl New Releases - News

CAPSULE LABS MUSIC GROUP's debut release is a 4 track house EP from label boss GIL T (OM, DROP MUSIC, DEEPER SHADES). Taking off with the lush sounds of “FLIGHT 107”, a smooth synth journey, nicely descends to “GET DOWN LOW”. The Afro Cuban house beat sets a nice groove for the live jazzy vibraphone stabs of this classy track. The B side is a real bonus. “THE PRIVATE DRIVER” really cruises and lastly, “NOT SO LOW” is a chunky finisher remix of the title track, all done in house. Locally farmed variety of true analog precision by GIL TAMAZYAN. Each release has its own plastic Drop card with a string being held in place with a limited pressing metal foil sticker individually numbered 1- 500 on the back side of the jacket. Heavyweight virgin vinyl. HOUSE ELECTRO

It should be is the new EP from NOON, one of the main artist and the label manager of SFX Recordings. This release will be the first one on Vinyl and digital. A two tracks EP definitely oriented to a deep underground clubbing feeling. 'It should be" is the special tracks perfectly dosed in between groove and melodic flow, it will be a main instrument for all the after lovers. "Fun to Mental" is definitely the dance floors track of the release. Based on a funky energy, surrounded by a fat groove, this tracks is a classic to have and play for all the parties lovers !!

Brooklyn DJs Sound Advice for quite some time now, garnering massive national attention for their "Gnarls Biggie" remix project and their "Play Anything" mix CDs. Now the duo comprised of Elsewhere and K. Ross have stepped up to release their first 12" geared straight towards the dancefloor and likeminded DJs.

Fantastic new 12' compilation featuring four more wonderful sunkissed obscurities unearthed from the vaults of the Balearica camp, including three must-have floor filling cover versions. First up is 'Don't Stop The Music' by Bits & Pieces, a superb Sly & Robbie produced disco reggae take on the Yarbrough & Peoples classic that found favour at the Paradise Garage as well as on the dancefloors of Ibiza. Next up is the equally brilliant and in-demand Staple Singers' interpretation of The Talking Heads' 'Slippery People', a sure fire party starter. The flipside sees Eric's Friends turn in a great Italo disco rework of Clapton's rock classic 'Cocaine', a hard to find gem from 1983 which is a big favourite of DJ Harvey and Daniel Wang. Rounding off the EP is Brian Briggs' Loft / Balearic classic 'AEO', a sublime masterpiece combining African-style chants, beautiful synth riffs and artificial bird calls to create a stunning dreamy soundscape that deserves all its accolades. Quality!

Marcel teamed up with a slew of musicians for Doin it, most notably Milos Gersi and Gianna Tam on vocals, but also Dr S. Proper is to be heard with some percussion jabs. Where the Original is a reggae hip hop hybrid the remixes take the energy up a lot.

African Shakedown's Noema creates a pumping mid tempo groover while Newcastle's NY*AK is arguably displaying his finest effort so far creating a very unlikely house monster with a loving nod to detroit...

The main idea for the Luxxury Edit series was to take overplayed and/or uncool songs and turn them into tracks that I myself would want to DJ. Initially the plan was to do this exclusively using the sounds from the original multi tracks, rather than the typical "throw a new beat and some swooshes on it" kind of re-edit.

For Hotel California, the song is so iconic and overplayed that it just felt right and necessary to fuck with it. I had the most of the arrangement together and I liked the vibe, but it was sounding a bit boring as an instrumental. So I started playing with a sequenced synth bass so that it traded off with the bass guitar, and I liked how it started to give it a more futuristic sound. I was dubbing out the Henley vocals but that wasn't working either. So I decided to double down on the future/retro blend and put Don through the vocoder, and it immediately felt right. It was just enough of the original to be recognisable but with a distinctive twist. I love how Greg Wilson originally thought it was an obscure German cover version when he first heard it, that was high praise indeed!

Each of these edits has been its own discovery process: they all start with me listening to every single isolated instrument, finding bits that are exciting or surprising - elements buried in the mix, or even outtakes - and then starting to arrange them until the track has just the right blend of familiar and unexpected.

Ever elusive duo Flight Facilities dropped a bombshell on unsuspecting, devoted fans, announcing the wholly unanticipated - and yet incredibly welcomed - debut album, 'Down to Earth". The production pair, best known for their string of popular club singles have done the unexpected, announcing a cracking new set of tunes to compliment their already impressive back catalogue, along with a headline world tour that will see the guys conquer their biggest headline shows to date, via the likes of The Enmore (Syd), The Forum (Melb), Webster Hall (NYC) and The Regent in LA. Some of the guests waiting in the departure lounge include the divine Ms Emma Louise, New York's most soulful comedian, Reggie Watts, a star turn from Melbourne's Owl Eyes, a foray into hip-hop with hotly tipped rapper Bishop Nehru, along with existing favourites like Micky Green and Giselle. These are just some of the highlights that will be coming out of the 'Down To Earth' carousel in the near future. Since their arrival in 2009, Flight Facilities have proven themselves to be one of electronic music's most consistently popular songwriting duos. Their first hit, Crave You, has become the unofficial soundtrack to summer parties from Sydney to Stockholm, and they've since deployed six successful singles, including the self-released slow-burner Clair De Lune, which went Gold in Australia. They've racked up serious air miles, touring the globe and playing headline shows and festivals in every major destination, from Coachella to Falls

First release on Nice to Be by MAM aka Miguel Campbell & Matt Hughes
To be or not to be And what would we like to be A strong voice from far is fading through the confusion, like a scream is reaching our ears, with extreme surprise is touching our minds. It does not matter who or what we are but how we become what or who we are. NICE TO BE.

With his debut album "Swinger" the multitalent from central germany now
wants to conquer the club scene. As DJ and Event-Manager he already has
filled the dancefloors. Now his songs should do likewise. Inspired by
the infamous clarinet-grooves of the roaring twenties and biting
trombones "Swinger" connects the organic sound of hand-played
instruments with crunching techno beats.

The album exhausts the composition always a little bit more danceable,
thanks to original instrumentation. But it is more than only DJ-Tools
for the turntables. As the eight tracks on "Swinger" no second run out
of ideas, it will effortlessly earn a wider audience.

PHILLIP WALKER- HELLO MY DARLING/ PLAYING IN THE PARK

Crude and primitive blues twin spinner from J R Fulbrights 'home made' outfit.

There s only one thing that matches a new My Love Is Underground 12 - a remastered pressing of one of the label s certified hits! Paris Underground Trax Volume 1 was one of the records that catapulted the French label into the spotlight - at the time produced anonymously, it later emerged that Mr Brawther was the man behind the four retro house cuts. It s a wonderful homage to the deeper strains of 90s New Jersey, NYC Underground and Sexy Thing Remix still smack of Kerri Chandler at his most bumping, with fat pads, sultry vocals and gritty basslines. The B-Side features uptempo gem Hardcore Deep House , while GTFO! glides along with warm, embracing chords. If you missed out first time round, don t make the same mistake again.

Thomass Jackson is a new entry in the Gomma crew. And he fits perfect: His style Outsider House - or let's call it: Sex House! This shit is soo damn funky and spartanic at the same time - you want to go straight to make babies! Thomass is part of the new vibrant Mexico City electronic scene. Similar to many dudes who do house music in a less formulated - style he comes from playing instruments: Bass, guitar, drums - in Funk bands - before getting into electronic production and djing. He is kind of a cultural nerd (like many guys on Gomma): Movies, books - the crazier they are the more he knows about them.Wich might explain his unique approach to dance music. After two releases on other labels (Electrique Music and La Dame Noir) - now he landed on the Gomma planet. Be ready - he is serious!

Ever since the visionary 2010 debut 'Without You', Art Department have been shaking the music community to the molten core with their psychedelic, bass driven unique take on electronic music. Crosstown Rebels now presents one of the most lauded tracks from their recent opus 'The Drawing Board', heralded by many as album of the year, with exemplary remixes from Caribou's Daphni and the legendary DJ Harvey. 'We Call Love' feat. Soul Clap & Osunlade is a deviant classic for the futuristic age.

Limited 150 copies, no digital release.
Topper is already known in the Berlin underground scene as one of the most gifted and talented DJs and is appreciated at the same time as a producer for his studio skills and hyper productivity.
Over the last years, Topper developed what was already outstanding and original in his productions and transformed it into a very rare special blend of psychedelic and minimalistic tech house, spacing from funk to deep and back to techno, always with authentic and original imprints.
'Down By The River' is extended, mature, dense and intense.
It is a deep dive into the many-sided music world and visionary inspiring roots of our contemporary voodoo child.
It is a magnetic composition, which represents Topper's path from a chrysalis into a butterfly.
As we like to do, SICCD003 will be limited to 150 copies and available on CD only.
Featuring The Clover and Just Kids, this album will be followed by a vinyl 12inch including some tracks including two different remixes delivered from DeWalta.

Following EPs from Matthew Burton and Seuil, the third release on Sammy Dee's Ultrastretch label introduces one of Berlin's most intriguing outsiders: Albert Schwartz. A native of Ghana now based in Germany, Schwartz has been DJing and making tracks for years, but aside from a few gigs with Sammy at Club der Visionäre, has mostly been kept secret until now. With Berry Deep / Drop, he shows a modern and organic style of house that makes him a perfect fit for the Berlin--based label. 'Berry Deep' is true to its name: subtle, plodding and atmospheric, driven by an elliptical vocal bit. Much like Ultrastretch's past releases (or old Perlon records for that matter), it's the tiny, meticulous details that breath life into this one, like the bubbling major chords competing with the mournful strings, or the ghostly, almost imperceptible Marvin Gaye samples ('Hey brother! What's happenin....'). 'Drop' brings the energy up a notch without losing its subtle touch. The drums are punchier and have a bit more momentum, but the tone is still somehow hushed. This time Marvin takes center stage, with lines from 'Inner City Blues' strewn across the track. The EP's remix comes from Rhadoo, a core member of Romania's a:rpia:r crew (along with Raresh and Petre Inspirescu) and a past guest at Sammy Dee's Ultrastretch parties at Club der Visionäre. His microhouse restyle of Berry Deep gives the original a trippy edge, plus a bit more club- friendly oomph.

Top quality remastered reissue of Ike Strong's disco boogie classic Boogie Land. Originally released back in 1981 on the tiny underground disco label Willker, this dancefloor bomb is now hugely in-demand. Both sides are absolute killers - the A side features great vocals from Ike Strong over super funky phat bass and wah wah guitars but don't forget the flip side where the groove get stripped down to the bare instrumental funk with just the relentless driving female vocal 'You can't help but dance when you hear it Boogie land' - she couldn't be more right! Must have.

Remastered reissue of the original 1982 Mirage Records release of the wonderful extended disco mix of Carly Simon's gem Why. A must-have Balearic disco classic produced by the legendary Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers of Chic and played everywhere from the early Ibiza parties to the Paradise Garage, this release features both the fantastic vocal and sought-after instrumental versions. The original 12' changes hands for big bucks so grab a copy while you can. Quality stuff!

After three sold out releases on GAMM the edit king The Reflex is back with vol.4 in his Re-Vision series !

This time around he goes slightly more rare groove-ish than before with three amazing re-edits.
First up Blood Sweat & Tears gets a breakbeat rework that kills the original by the miles if you ask us.
The dope jazz brake in the middle is extra nice.

To follow up we go on a funky blues trip on "Gone is the thrill" and last but not least a hot (!) Ohio Players jam gets funked up to the max.

This E.P. sets out to honor to Spring wherever and when it may happen. It arrived early for our location the year it was first created."Furuike ya - Ancient pond" was the original title. This is taken from an ancient haiku by Matsuo Basho. The remix for 'Ancient Pond' was created by Jason Drummond (aka DJ Spun) from Rong Music NYC. This rework of the original adds a funky twist to the beats and bass line."Electric Sheep" is taken from the Philip K Dick book including this portion its title. The theme of this track hints on the nature of our creations and the future possibilities. This particular version contains only the 303 melodies/elements of the original, which is set to be released in the next EP to follow.

The second release on Kutmah's IZWID imprint is a rare collection of bugged out electronic soul from the Los Angeles-based vocalist, producer and poet, Seven Davis Jr. "The Lost Tapes Vol. 1" spans 12 years of experimental, cosmic out-of-body-and-mind music, of mostly four and eight track recordings once lost in storage via a lengthly hiatus due to drug addiction and depression.
Resurfacing in 2012, Seven Davis Jr.'s 'Thanks' appeared on Kutmah's much lauded "Worldwide Family Vol. 2" compilation on Brownswood Recordings, after which the kaleidoscopic artist released the clattering funked beats of "Lo-Fi Vintage" and house-inspired "One" EP.
For IZWID, "The Lost Tapes Vol. 1" is a creative blueprint for Davis Jr.'s brilliantly unorthodox approach with his beautifully raw drums and psychotropic harmonies. "I made a lot of this music many years ago and other labels and artists hated on me for it," says Davis Jr. of the lost tapes. "They said it was too weird, too different, sounded like drug music (it was) and they told me I was going to hell, for 'Pornostar'. Years later; new life, new city, new day and age. I found the music again, which I never stopped loving and decided to send it all to Kutmah.

This is how the recent Salvatore Stallone's album has been described. Words written by the most influential Italian reporter Christian Zingales.. if the matching was not enough..

But Salvatore Stallone is in a very prolific and sparkling period, with a forty-year career made of ups and downs, like any self-respecting artist, and proves to be still at the top, with an immense artistic talent won on the field of both productions that behind the consolle.
'Pig's Dance' is his latest masterpiece. A Jazz exercise masterfully mixed with the typical House style, almost as if we were loyal to the definition which we quote at the beginning. Pig's Dance is truly a masterpiece and we are sure will become an extension of Salvatore, a secret weapon in his further gigs.
Say all No! Because on the B side do we find the version and / or the vision of Rhythm Doctor. And its correct to speak in these terms for Chris Long (his name of birth) a visionary guy with an incredible career in which he collaborated with labels like BBE, Ministry Of Sound, manager and creator of legendary events such as The 3A's, The Dungeons, Feel Real, Mutant Disco, as well as being one of the first DJs in the UK to have played house music in the mid 80s. Pig's Dance retouched by Rhythm Doctor is a journey, which remind to the very first Orb, without having to find similarities in all costs.

On one of his many legendary trips to LA, Oliver Dollar found himself entrenched in yet another spiral of digging for samples, listening to oddities and generally funking things up with his pal Brillstein. It was on this particular trip that Ain't I'm Clean was born. A track perfect for all occasions, beginning, middle or possibly ending.

Austere make a welcome with a various artists four tracker. Featuring four varied cuts ranging from techno tinged house to bass heavy beatdown! Life Recorder kicks things off in his own unique style which never disappoints. Next up is Arnheim, a newcomer with a very mature sounding jazzy house number. Gradul Lashton takes things back into house territory with an infectious 303 laden groove. Finally, Fat Dog comes and drops the tempo and the bottom end with a sublime track to finish.

his record 'Flivvers Vol.2 is the second volume in a story of the end of one love one life, and the beginning of a new love and new life even greater than I had known before. It is a story of total life transformation and risk taking. Of following blindly ones own dreams and desires without fear. Each song is giving you more detail to the events that transcribe my life into vinyl. You may not know now my name, you may not know my face, but if you know my music you know my life, my joys, and my sorrows. If you know my music you know my heart.... Thank you. Anonym
