Strange rhythms echo across Todmorden as a small group of local Rhumberos, fuelled on wild rum and crowfoot take inspiration from the "supreme truth".....

Two of the stand-out songs from the stunning new Incognito album 'Surreal' are featured on this vinyl package.

Lead cut AIN'T IT TIME - a remake of a 1976 disco tune originally recorded by Queen Yahna - features the blistering
Loleatta Holloway-esque vocals of Vanessa Haynes, in a longer, club-friendly mix

Long-time Incognito favourite Maysa handles the vocals on THE LESS YOU KNOW, which opens with an ultra-funky bass groove from the band's Francis Hylton. Also included is the album version of the track

Following two well-received 12' singles in 2011, Bristol's Bedmo Disco Records - 'The Sound of Bedminster' - returns in 2012 with something rather special: the debut reedits EP from longtime family member JIMMY THE TWIN.

Famed for their self-released KM Editions series, Keyboard Masher join Daphni and Tom Croose in the Resista family with the roaring 'Afro Editions', two faultless edits that distill the spirit of mother Africa.

Opener 'JuJu' is an epic fifteen minute long journey filled with joyous, duelling guitars, syncopated percussion, shuffling rhythms and a myriad of unexpected passages and turns. Captivating from the off, there's only one word to describe 'JuJu' - magical.

On the flip ' Tcham Tcham' takes a more direct route to the dancefloor... Riding on a more electronic 4/4 beat, it's unashamedly leftfield, with a thunderous chug, a great guitar riff and deadpan calls of 'Tcham Tcham', which all builds up to an anthemic climax. Drop it and watch the dancefloor melt.

Introducing 'Kleine Reise Records', a Berlin based label flowering from the roots of their beloved clubs Kleine Reise & Loftus Hall; a natural progression to further share our world of sound.

Life is change, tastes evolve, the only essential ingredient is for our music to have soul.
Free from the shackles of any particular style or genre and from the constraints of time, we begin a journey through the sonic universe.
Our first offering comes from two of Kleine Reise's founding members Dara Drea O'Neill and Peter Power.
On the A-side we have Sun-K, composed during several sundowns at the hazy heights of last Summer. Channeling the collective spirit of the open-air arena, it offers the first glimpse into Peter's Ufordian fantasy.
On the B-Side; Dara takes a bare-back ride through a pitched dreamscape. The constant flapping wings of a Little Dragon guides him. If you stretch out your arms it feels like flying.
Lastly with 'Red Roses' Peter conjures up an irresistible dream-like, slo-mo workout, guaranteed to be drifting out across the Adriatic beach parties this summer

Take a little trip with us. Love The KR Family

Ready for some Ska Techno Some Ragga Dubstep Some Electro Musette Some Gypsy Dubsteppa

NKC returns to Awkward Movements with two new anthems for 2012, this time backed with heavyweight remixes from the one Maddslinky and Lampuka records honcho Raimo.

Generic modification in effect here on this 3 tracker from seasoned producer and remixer travelling incognito, hush-hush and strictly on the q.t.

Straight out of East London, Pacific Rim Dubs mix up deep, bumpin' house with soul and boogie, rude acid with funk and fidget grooves with pure disco. In a mash-up style, but without the comedy beats and not a whiff of irony in sight, Pacific Rim Dubs vol1 takes a selection of infectious snippets from the soul/ boogie vaults and blends them into proper house floor fillers.

A Side: 'On The Raz': a deep, bumping house groove with a formidable disco hook. The secret lovechild born out of the fusion of soulful, jackin' house, minimal tech grooves and lush disco loops.

AA side, track one: 'Ain't My Loved One': If ever there was such a thing as Acid Funk, this is it. A long teasing, squelchy acid intro kicks off into a deeply swung, infectious funk groove, topped with a cut-up soul vocal peeking in and out. Getting massive play from Crazy P/Ron Basejam.

AA side, track two: Already getting play from Tom Middleton, Jimpster and charted by Nic Fanciulli, this one has more cowbells than Kerri Chandler and a relentless fidget feel over a rolling disco groove.

We're happy to report, after a short hiatus Ray Mang and his incomparable Mangled label are back !

His recent Disco Deviance release was more than enough to remind everyone what they'd been missing, but here we have a fresh new Mangled release - filled to brim with Ray's unique take on lost classics

Mangled has been a benchmark for quality edits since the late 90's, and with renewed interest in dance music's heritage, Ray has found himself back at the forefront of a scene he was instrumental in forming.
Having been behind a plethora of releases on cult Nu-Disco labels like Noid, Fiasco, U Star, Nuphonic, Eskimo etc etc over the years he has cemented his reputation as an amazing producer in his own right as well a studio engineer extraordinaire for the likes of the Idjut Boys, Glimmers & many more.

Sam Irl is a talented producer from Vienna to keep an eye on. After a few releases on various labels, amongst others a 7" collaboration with Dorian Concept and a featuring on "Kutmah presents Worldwide Family Vol. 2" (Brownswood Rec.) with Ritornell, he is releasing his new EP on Jazz & Milk

NEW from Joey Negro's Z Records, hand numbered 12's 1 - 430.
This 3 track EP from SPIRIT CATCHER aka THOMAS SOHET & JEAN VANESSE brings out some serious 80s boogie-esque funk! "STREET SKILLS" takes on the A-side while the bumpin "RENDEZ-VOUS" and "ABSOLUTE DROP" hold down the flip.

GAMM is mucho mucho proud to invite Suonho to the GAMM family.
He's already a well established name on the edit scene, especially after his huge Donny Hathaway edit last year. On GAMM he's now droppin' two heavyweight reworks on one of our all-time social ghetto soul tunes "The World Is A Ghetto". Suonho made classy edits of both the original War version but also George Benson's epic jazz-funk version.

To be honest, we can't choose a winner as we love both version equally but we guarantee you'll use both versions.

Lets take em' to the ghetto!

After the HUGE success of Suonho's 'The Ghetto' 12' last year, we jumped at the opportunity to work together with him again. This is the first 12' from an ongoing project titled 'The Director's Cuts'.
Five hard to find tracks each with deep funky flavour and not originally intended for the dance floor superbly 'reloved', rearranged and given that extra bit of Suonho magic!

Excellent third release on the essential 'Supafrico Records' featuring four absolutely stunning Afro flavoured grooves dug deep from the vaults. First up we have a previously unreleased extended version of 'Hot Black 'N' Sweet' by Nigerian funkster Kio Amachree. Taken from the über-rare 1981 'Ivory' LP, this a slice of pure funk filled afro boogie led by a groovy phat bline, driving horn section and Kio's magnificent Kid Creole-esque vocals. Number two comes in the form of 'Slow Down' from the hugely sought after 1981 'Grill' album by Amas. But 'Slow Down' it doesn't! With a catchy, pulsating drum intro, layers of incredible stabbing piano and damn-right groovy guitar licks, by the time the vocals come in, you're already in a state of Afro-euphoria! On the flip, we have the full 10 minute version of the ultra rare 'Sabi (Get Down)' from Ghanaian master drummer, Okyerema Asante feeding us a funk-riddled piece of undiluted afro groove pie with awesome vocals and tripped out synths Finally, if that wasn't enough, Time Will Tell is a deeply undulating Afro funk disco gem from the 7-piece who were also known as the Lafayette Rock Band. Remastered to the max, this EP is an absolute necessity!

Aniligital Music presents "Slow Down" - a slo-mo slammer being this two track Tal M. Klein EP featuring collaborations with Anthony Mansfield (Hector Works) and Irregular Disco Workers (Cloned In The Vatican). First up, Irregular Disco Workers and TMK dial up a real beauty of a beach track influenced by those late night watchings of Emmanuelle movies with the acid lines of last night's rave still ringing in your ears. Next, we found this pre-AM/TM Anthony and Tal collaboration in a hidden folder called "gem" in our old studio file cabinet. This is a Disco Villainy-era slow disco/jazz fusion...

Kathy Diamond and Max Skiba from the KDMS can expect a nice year 2012.

Tensnake: "Great stuff!"
Jaymo: "Ohhhh. Niiiiiiiice!! "
Aeroplane: "I really love the The KDMS"
Mylo: "Great thanks! Big fan of Skiba & Kathy Diamond"

Diner City Sound is back with the seventh in the series. A huge release from Spain-based producer Kastil.

SIDE A
A1: Bring Back
Soulful track with Nicholas written all over it. Cool female vocal and a nice shuffle on the percussion. Synth and bass are trademark Nicholas/NMH style. Back to his best!!

A2: Reachin
Again, another instantly recognisable Nicholas production, the dude has style! Nice percussion and a hypnotic vocal. Great synth lines and pumping, old school house style flavour to the bass/keys.

Side B
B1: All I Got
Really simple but a effective track. Again, a real old school house vibe on this one brought to life by the synth and with a short vocal sample topping things off. Very well executed production.

B2: If You Want
More of a funk vibe going on here. Definite dancefloor hit, that's much deeper than the rest of the record, and it hits the spot! Bass is brilliant, vocal superb - just makes you want to groove!! Hit!

1990. England. A revolution is building across the UK. Dilapidated warehouses and factories come to life at night. Euphoric teens defy police bans and cordons to embrace life and the dancefloor. Acid house has arrived and friends Matt (Henry Lloyd-Hughes - 'The In-Betweeners') and Dylan (Jack O'Connell - 'Skins') are at the heart of it. This is their story. Welcome to 'Weekender' - a brand new film that documents the rise of House Music and Rave culture in the UK in the late 1980's/early 90's.
To tie-in with the film's release Harmless are proud to launch 'Weekender - Soundtrack Gems + More Inspiration' - a 3 X CD deluxe package compiled by Terry Farley which contains one CD featuring the best tracks from the film, a second CD featuring further inspiration from the era and a bonus third CD which features an exclusive Terry Farley 'Weekender' continuous mix. The vinyl offering contains 3 exclusive new edits of seminal acid house anthems "Move Your Body (The House Music Anthem)" by Terry Farley & Leo Zero plus "Baby Wants To Ride" by Miles Simpson & Neville Watson.

Long time friend of Yousef and his Circus Events, DJ SNEAK steps up on Circus Recordings with two classic 'Sneak' offerings.

"COMING WITH DA SOUNDS" sees Puerto Rico's finest let rip. Clattering techno beats with an authentic trademark vibe power towards a (dare we say) 1991 rave break down. Big Synthy sounds make way for the straight up power house that our man is renowned for.

"TIME TRAVEL" A track so close to Sneak's heart, he wouldn't let anyone remix it. The groove is relentless and character warm, just like the great man himself.

On remix duties - Circus and Circus Recordings main man Yousef steps up with a slamming remix of "Coming With Da Sounds," backed by label mate Tom Flynn who takes the cut into a trackier stripped back groove with big drums and lively bass. Another great ep from Circus....

BAM ! POW !! and other comic book type exclamations meet the news that one of the baddest brothers on the breaks and bass scene has put pen to paper and signed to Jalapeno Records.

Smalltown Supersound is proud to present the first single taken from Idjut Boys' debut album, Cellar Door, that will be released in 24th July on Smalltown Supersound.

The 12" is a one sided single and is limited to 500 copies worldwide.

The seasoned Portuguese production duo that go by the name of Johnwaynes are back for their third outing on Let's Get Lost. A gospel disco banger on one side and blissed out whispering house on the other, essential!

2 tracks from the MC that brought you 'Lidl' and was guest vocalist on MIA's Paper Planes remix that went into the US Top 5. He's been around the world, finished his degree, guested on DJ Shadow's 'I'm Excited' and is getting ready to break out properly on his own. This is a taster for his mini album that is coming very soon, two tracks that take him in two very different directions. Kunta Kinte is a classic slice of funky, South African inspired house/ garage. With a strong lyrical message AB takes it back to the time when MC's had something to say other than how fly they were (not that he isn't and he will do some of those). Produced by Dan Anderson from Nu Sound Therapy. The tune is HOT ! Eba Eater is a quality slice of African hip hop produced by LA's Twofifteens. It bounces !

Prince-sampling. 250 only

Vault Series is a cheeky little series where Rush Hour drops never before released tracks and mixes from its vaults as well as tracks which are in dire need of a re-release.
The series kicks off with an unreleased track by the mysterious Duster Valentine. An anthemic disco track that, with its catchy piano loop, pays homage to the golden days of New York house music. Music that will make you sweat!
