Two Parisians, Ivan Smagghe and Tim Paris, exiled in London for the better part of the last ten year set out to re-define space. It's a fine line was born from non-restraint, cultivating its own vision of house music and disco, a paradoxical one, a non-functional one.

Their first LP (thought, rebuilt, announced, delayed) reveals itself as a collection of tests, of explorations in the shadows and corners of club culture. These are murky roads where counterfeit goes for gold standard, perfect territory to lose oneself in order to find ones way. Leaving behind the smooth highways of club music, they rode more chaotic trails, with dubious reputation or names: white funk, trance groove, electronic psychedelia, greasy, rock'n'roll... A risky path, ambivalent, proud of accidents, crashes and bad taste, but the only real way to discover virgin grounds on well-trodden terrain. They are writing their own (hi)story.

For this album, Tim and Ivan recruited three double agents, the flame of Alex Kapranos, singer of Franz Ferdinand, the mysterious voice of Olivia de Lanzac from cult band Quad Throw Salchow and the pitched down, spectre of label companion C.A.R. Three tweaked but prominent voices, joining in an album that confounds through the coherence of its eclecticism and the rigorous mirage of its style.

Renowned artistGareth McConnell adds his indispensable touch to the artwork and video, encompassing the exact image of this record: hypnotic and kaleidoscopic, a celestial trip recorded on an used VHS tape.

Project formed by Mynationshit and Sentionaut which is influenced by horror movies .They definitely love directors such as Dario Argento ,John Carpenter,Wes Craven, Mario Bava and of course their hypnotist aesthetics and sinister atmospheres. .On this occasion, They have recorded an eerie album with two outstanding remixes by Hyboid and Synth Alien and also four tracks of them where black cats,stained glass window and darkness are always present. This is called 'Sequanza Lunga' and obviously is inspired by Suspiria which is a 1977 Italian horror film directed by Dario Argento.

The second Phalanx release is called "Lost In Your Eyes". The track is composed and arranged by Joey Mauro and sound engineered and mixed by Laurent Gelmetti, who has been mixing and sound engineering the most of the Aleph tracks in the 80s. "Lost In Your Eyes" vinyl has four different mixes from this powerful track, which has the same energy as the Aleph tracks had in the past. The male vocals belong to Terence Holler and the female vocalist is Clara Moroni, also familiar name from the 80s Time Records productions.

First 2016 release from Disco Modernism, Milan! Fred Ventura new single is a classic Italoconnection production of a song originally written in 1984 and never finished until today. The new arrangements are almost totally inspired by the first demo and only a few ingredients have been added to the final track.
To complete the package we asked some of our favourite contemporary producers to rework the song in their unique style. Flemming Dalum go back to the early 80's typical sounds for his rework, Phil R rebuild the song with his personal and melodic touch, Codazzi increase the BPM for another of his pumping remixes. The release is strictly limited to 300 12' vinyls, 150 colored copies plus 150 classic black vinyls.

Great Britain, France, Sweden and Italy were holding regular events that, along with the existing US venues, became part of the World Championship Tour. In 1968, after a four-year domination by the Americans, Italian count Vincenzo Balestrieri Cosimelli of Rome, (Dec. 18, 1926 - March 31, 2012) was able to clinch the world title by winning 5 of the season's races:
1 - Sam Griffith Memorial Race, Florida, US
2 - Naples Trophy, Naples, Italy
3 - Viareggio-Bastia-Viareggio, Italy
4 - France's Dauphin D'Or, France
5 - Swedish Grand Prix, Sweden
..and by taking the second place at the Wills International Race, England. In 1970, Balestrieri repeated his feat by winning his second title of Champion of The World.

Active since 1979 under the name Suicide Commando, the band changed name in 1980 releasing the first demo-tape Dawn and the self-titled mini-album in late 1981. The early records contain a mix of synth pop and new wave/dance songs, while towards the end of the 1980s' Kirlian Camera's music became darker, turning into electro-gothic sound. Nearly every release since then has explored different fields, from industrial to ambient and trip-hop.

Official limited 300 copies reissue of the rare Blow Up records release of the Italo masterpiece Pink Footpath by Loui$. Originally released in 1985 and here officially remastered and released for the first time with original artwork and full picture sleeve under license of Gianni John' Tirelli. On the A side is Magic Dance and on the flip side the instrumental version of the track Pink Footpath' that with its analogue bassline , synths and mediterranean guitar riffs become a must to have and one of the most played tunes in Ibiza / New york / Chicago crossing the Italo disco and disco borders.

I had just opened "Click Records", my record label in the center of Milan, a short walk from CBS. Was in the '80s and in my office there was a constant coming and going of artists, many young talents at the first experience, others already well under way and some who later became famous as Pino Mango and Eros Ramazzotti - with which I composed the song "Un Amico" who later won St. Vincent festival catapulting him to the Sanremo Festival.

One day appeared to me a certain Luigi Fregapane (aka Louis) with a demo by himself produced in Turin. I listened to the track several times, and with a smile to him I gave my OK for that song sketched by hand.

The voice of Louis was amazing, and his dowry of guitarist eclectic and very personal was evident . I phoned Alberto Radius and booked a few days of studio to produce the track we later called "Magic Dance". Once the A side was done , I personally decided to work on a remix to which I gave the name "Pink Footphat" after being delighted observing an infinity of pink flowers covering like a carpet the street I was walking through in Milan.' Welcome to the Bordello A Rimini beach club! Salta & Roma is a Danish entitled collaboration between Mike Salta and Morten Roma. Neon is not a common name for italian post punk lovers. Born in Florence, the cradle of peninsula's wave, they were probably the first important post punk gothic band in our country and they are still nowadays one of the most active band in 80's Italian new wave time, still marking Italian rock history. The band, which was born first as a duo at the end of the 70's in Florence's undeground culture, soon stands out for its KRAFTWERK and new wave icons' synth, which made their style a unique 80's cultural dream's specimen, together with newromantic and post punk tought of bands like JOY DIVISION, ULTRAVOX and HUMAN LEAGUE. This was the theme song of the PANDA club in mid 80's Italy where Marcello Bertini aka DJ Arch (Arch stands for architect, he was studying architecture at that time) was a resident DJ. It was pressed on limited edition vinyl to promote the club and parties. A few decades later this 12 was re-discovered and became an in great demand record for italo collectors. Bordello A Parigi got in touch with Marcello Bertini and found out he still had all the original mastertapes, laqcuers and even the CMYK films for the sleeve: a true italo treasure. Fantastic and complete album, features the best Jazz-Funk, Funky and Jazzy Breaks samples on side A and stellar Experimental Avantgarde Jazz sounds on side B. Psychedelic and Moody, beatiful as much as RARE in its original edition. Some tracks were used in 1972 and 1973 as Soundtracks for Italian TV shows theme songs.

Amidst much anticipation from collectors, record stores, DJ's and producers alike Gloria Ann Taylor's musical output on Selector Sound have been compiled and will be presented in a deluxe triple-gatefold double LP package complete with photos and extensive liner notes. Soul singer Gloria Ann Taylor has no rags to riches tale to tell. Her story is one of personal sacrifice, failed relationships, and missed opportunity. She was leading a hard knock life before being swept-up by the flash and promise of a marriage and business partnership with a successful record producer. She would be nominated for a Grammy, rub shoulders with James Brown and Bootsy Collins, and turn heads from Motown. But in the end she rejected professional singing, the music business, and the lifestyle that came with it. Thankfully for music lovers, before Gloria closed the doors on her singing career, she left us with some amazing soul songs. Deeply shaded by gospel roots, her haunting sound clearly comes from the gut. Gloria did not fake the funk. Gloria was a partial owner of the Selector Sounds label, along with her husband/producer Walter Whisenhunt (previously a right-hand man to James Brown), and her brother Leonard. They released five Gloria Taylor singles between 1971 and 1977. They also released the three-song Deep Inside You EP, under the name Gloria Ann Taylor and Walter Whisenhunt's Orchestra. In the studio Whisenhunt would work up a unique musical brew that mixed northern soul with exotic percussion and fuzzy psychedelic guitars. He moved Gloria through a range of tempos and stylings from ballads to disco. Her gritty vocal performance was set to orchestral arrangements creating a juxtaposition of grandeur and solace. The pinnacle of their collaborations has to be the jaw-droppingly epic EP version of "Love Is a Hurting Thing"; a chugging, string-laden disco track, that sounds like proto-Theo Parrish. We are glad to announce the birth of Fonogrammi Particolari, a new record label based in Milan whose main goal is to reissue old school Italo classics in their original form but backed with brand new edits and remixes. The first issue is this essential cover version of Material's noisy disco classic Take A Chance' made popular by Mr. Flagio and originally released in 1983 by the Squish label. This cult track appears on the A side in its original form and on the B side in re-edited and reworked form by Fred Ventura and Paolo Gozzetti aka Italoconnection. Italoconnection sees his second release. Two unreleased songs full of pure 80's italodisco
flavour, with the addiction of the vocal performance by Annabel together with the
great nu-disco touch of Italoconnection (Fred Ventura and Paolo Gozzetti).

Local Suicide are a Berlin love story. Having met across a set of turntables, DJs, producers and dancefloor all-rounders Brax Moody and Vamparela have connected as a German and Greek soundclash since 2007, and 'We Can Go Everywhere' rubberstamps their partnership on what is their debut EP.

The onetime members of the short-lived 'Local Suzie' band project have gone on to dominate Berlin's live spots, a grounding that has since seen them filling their passports from New York to Tunesia, Tel Aviv, Istanbul and Barcelona as well becoming event organisers and attractions both home and abroad wherever there's a set of decks. Multi-taskers coming with divergent interests in hip-hop, electroclash and most things in between, and with an intimate knowledge of their respective regional movements AND the pair also running a respected music blog, Local Suicide are not usually found without their hands to the pump.

'We Can Go Everywhere', chanting into a Balearic underworld , is in the classic mode of synth-pop, disco-house and indie dance brought back from the future and into a past discotheque philosophy. Just when you think it's about to bust out a set of 80s sized shoulder pads, and those synth injections scream out from a bygone era of bigger being better (admittedly the same can be said for the drop-down bass), the pair roll out the beats with a caution turning the vibe into something best served come witching hour. Sprinkling the glitz and glamour with grit and candour and a touch of Gallic groove sensibility, paves the way for three remixes to follow suit. The future-retro scale is further determined when you have the expertise of In Flagranti to truly quantize the boogie, looping the chorus just behind a mix of digital distress signals and road trip guitars until it becomes something near an incantation of Bananarama. Alex Gloor and Sasha Crnobrnja complete two halves of basement seriousness and a hop down a yellow brick road, giving off sharp catwalk glances before breaking out the worm in the name of Factory funk.

Inigo Vontier trains tracky, fractal-examining synths for a deep tech-disco hustle. Powered by low slung electrohouse blips that cram and gang up on the dancefloor so that it needs water cannon fire to disperse it, the Mexican simultaneously makes the original sound intensely alone and on the run, the vocal daring not speak its name until it rushes from the ground on the breakdown with a sense of release. The flashes of those kitsch-tipped synths again keep reminding you of the package's Euro destination.

Tom Tom Disco's Richard Rossa is another bringing sounds back and forward, putting spit and shine on mainframe sequences so a vintage glitterball can spin once more. With the ubiquitous synth shunts and bongo percussion not losing sight of the fact that there's a still pop-ish party going on, the Scandinavian revels in the dust and debris that his machinery comes coloured in, coming up with a snippy slice of incessant analogue disco ensuring Local Suicide's original revels in its retro roots to the last.
