Following its initial release in 2013 and its round of high-profile advert placements, FCL 'It's You' is proving to be one of those tracks that just keep coming back better. Featuring remixes by the likes of Mousse T., Hercules & Love Affair and Nick Holder, this Defected remix package is sure to send 'It's You' down the road to becoming a classic.

With a wall-scratching kick and rattling shakers, first on the list is Mousse T.'s Teef Vocal Mix, which moves with its minimal bass line and striking piano melody. Next up, Mousse T.'s Discotronic Mix drops the disco ball by introducing a groovy bass guitar riff and uplifting synth stabs. Nick Holder's Trackheadz Mix sets the irrepressible vocal over a rolling, sub-heavy house groove, with eerie chords and orchestral strings exquisitely playing off one another as the track progresses. Finally, Hercules & Love Affair Remix creates an intricate rhythm medley using pitched high hats and vanishing synth breaks against a futuristic guitar lick and cosmic arpeggios. With such a diverse and well-crafted selection of remixes, each track preserves the irresistible draw of the original while steering into its own unique sonic direction.

Copenhagen purveyor of melodic electro soul Kondi Records finally resurfaces after almost a decade with a new batch of tracks from man of the moment, Jeremiah R. Sleek nighttime electro in a deep but spacious melancholic vein of The Other People Place and Drexciya's mellow aquatic dives. Includes an extended version of 'The Outer Rings', which appeared back in 2011 on the ultra limited 'the 5th dimension' album.

Centuries offers a lush underpinning w/dubby voices & percussives. "All I Know" floats on a sea of shifting harmonic pads, "Synthesizer Freeway" dips deep into the well of modular synthesis.

Driving forward from the announcement of their forthcoming 'PolyRhythmic' LP on Sasha's Last Night On Earth imprint, Kate Simko and Tevo Howard are known for creating out of the box and genre-bending productions. Now, the native Chicagoans proudly announce their 'Theme Track EP,' giving music lovers a taste of things to come from the album.

Both Kate and Tevo grew up on house music and their collaboration stays true to their roots whilst bringing a contemporary twist. Their signature classic sound shines brightly through each production. The opening track 'PolyRhythmic Theme' does exactly that. A groove-ridden bass line, coupled with a driving electro synth, mingles with recordings of people on the street near Tevo's studio in Chicago.

Tevo's classic Roland programming and Kate's melodic synth melodies are ever present throughout the EP, highlighted perfectly in 'No Regrets'. Featuring vocalist Baz from Pirupa, the track's keep-it-real lyrics and hypnotic harmonies bring a new dimension to the PolyRhythmic project. Inspired by the iconic Chicago imprint Prescription Records, 'No Regrets' is a standout track from the forthcoming album.

Closing the EP in the spirit of PolyRhythmic, renowned New York producer Fred P (aka Black Jazz Consortium) delivers a masterful remix of 'PolyRhythmic Theme'. Fred, a former roommate of Tevo's in Berlin, has established himself as one of the most respected players in house music. Taking his time on this remix, he's delivered an artful dance floor jam already earning incredibly enthusiastic DJ feedback. An eight-minute journey, the rework of 'PolyRhythmic Theme' takes the listener from sparse 808 grooves to powerful high rising synth peaks fluttering throughout the track.

Kate and Tevo form a natural alliance, which captures their versatility as artists. Combining their mutual passions for music and homage to their Chicago roots, 'Theme Track' once again reiterates that the duo are strongly at the forefront of a fresh wave of innovative and dynamic producers. This release marks another chapter in the eclectic collaboration of Kate Simko and Tevo Howard, moving us closer to their eagerly anticipated album out this September on Last Night On Earth.

After more then a year, Italian label Kosmophono is back with their second chapter on vinyl. The tasty release features a selection of great artists and seductive sounds and gives you a taster of the many other great projects lined up on this label for this year.
For the A-side, Fuse London resident Antony Difrancesco joins forces with Dutch born Ferro and opens up with the aggressive and hypnotic "Des", with its tough drums and mesmerising pads. Next up is ''tINI and the Gang" regular, Crocodile Soup, who brings his deeper side into action on ''These Shoes Are Made For Walking'', a track that is elastic and seductive and expertly arranged. David Gtronic's signature drums and trippy pads then mark a stunning opening to the B-side on 'Down the Burrow' and last but not least, He Did closes the vinyl with "Algunas Palabras', a track with a mixture of minimalistic and natural sounds that make for compelling listening and perfectly showcase the He Did sound. This is a classy EP from a label that the world needs to get behind as they continue to grow.

After emerging from years of seclusion below the Chicago underground last year, Marquis Cooper aka Svengalisghost, returns with all new material recorded this winter somewhere between the woods of North Carolina and the streets of NYC. An advocate in creating what he calls the "Anti-Beat", Cooper takes what he's learned from the traditional machine experimentation of the early pioneers, reconstructs and retransmits the sounds which lie somewhere in the realm of unhinged synth punk or industrial forward-thinking beat electronics. These tracks are truly the essence of HOUSE, and a vicious circle it is.

Essential reissue!! The producer and dj from Chicago Joey Kay published in 1994 an EP that soon became a favorite of the 90s house DJs around the world: 'Eclectiz Ep'. The legendary label House Jam Records was responsible for editing and selling it. Nowadays, in 2016 (22 years later) the owners of the label Bons Records have been in contact with Joey Kay and they have been quick to reach an agreement to make a remastered edition of the great Eclectiz Ep including the same tracks that the original version but at an affordable price to everyone, not favoring the speculation around these kind of musical gems, mostly in platforms like Discogs. 'Eclectiz Ep' has been remastered by Robert Feuchtl (Fat Of Excellence) and will be distributed by Subwax.

Aus Music proudly present their final release of the year which brings with it the return of recent signing Paul Woolford. The Houndstooth and XL Recordings regular continues to refine the emotionally charged drama of his recent work and in doing so, enhances his constantly evolving catalogue with a continuation of the recent 'Heaven & Earth' EP on Aus. The 'Father, Son & Holy Ghost' EP sees Woolford propel heart-wrenching melodies with thunderous drums in a manner that only few are capable of. Progressing with resolute intent, the package includes 2 club-ready cuts and the beatless, string-laden 'Son' which completes a release of radically heightened compositional intensity and rounds off a stellar 2016 for Aus.

Volume 2 in Trax new re issue series "Chicago Trax", delves deeper into the archives to unearth more 'lost tracks' from the legendary Chicago house label.
Kicking off with "Dum Dum - Part 2" by Fresh (TX115 - 1986), following on from Part 1 which came out on Larry Sherman's Precision (named after his pressing plant) in 1984, and included a prototype version of what would become "Real Love" by Jesse's Gang. Its follow up, Part Two, produced by Jesse Saunders was just as basic consisting of bass, drums and the occasional squelch or stab.
Next up... Yes its him again - Farley Jackmaster Funk with "Give Your Self To Me" (TX116 - 1986). Featuring uncredited vocal performances from both Ricky Dillard and Kevin Irving, this is almost symphonic in comparison with some of Farley's previous foray's into the studio, possibly aided by the fact he utilised a producer, Danny Wilson, to finesse his efforts.
On the B side we start with Willie Wonka's "What Is House (TX122 - 1986). Dwayne Grant's name seems to have slipped off the radar, but this wasn't even his first release, having already recorded under the name Grant for Sherman's Precision the year prior to this. Unusually for some, "What Is House" is Linn drum-heavy and from memory, I believe this vocal comes from the producer reading an early piece written about Chicago house. Yet another underrated tune from the vaults.
Finally we have Radio Fashion "What You Deserve" (TX123 - 1987). An anomaly in the Trax catalogue, Radio Fashion would seem more at home an obscure Belgian label or even on Wax Trax! Although they did contribute to other house releases (like "The Jackin' National Anthem" on Hot Mix 5), vocalist Jim Romano turned up on a Die Warzau album in the early 90's doing background vocals.

The next chapter in the Creme Organization Ecplise series comes from Cosmic Garden with three original tracks and one remix from Orgue Electronique. Little is known about Cosmic Garden other than he is from Southern Italy and has had two EPs out in 2016, one on HotMix and one on Cosmic Rhythm. He heads out the blocks here with 'Reptilian Treant', six minutes of lo-fi deep house that is roomy and atmospheric. Lazy synths bring soul and a gentle chatter of claps and hits helps drive it along. 'Rare Centaur' is also way below the surface but is darker and more celestial, with turbulent bass, frantic claps and angelic chords glowing like a white light at the end of a tunnel. Dutch house and electro don Orgue Electronique then remixes 'Reptilian Treant' into something that is slick and serene, with metallic lines dancing above rubbery drums as big piano chords boucle up top. It is joyous and colourful and truly majestic before final track 'Apocalyptic Moose' takes us back down into a mournful house vibe that echoes Chicago with its roughhewn analogue textures and lovestruck chords.

analogue sounds and musical experimentations with the Golden Archives 1 EP. Two tracks that once again define the Spanish maverick's personal hybrid of Detroit Techno and European Electronica, veering into psychedelic territory and progressive rhythms, and continuing to explore the outer limits of the underground scene. 'Missing You (Edit)''s chants and deep soulful atmospherics build up with emotional piano melodies, while 'Quasicalligraphic''s mechanical stabs and ghostly synths are accompanied by spectral percussions and melancholic chords.
