Art Department announce the release of 'Cruel Intentions feat. Seth Troxler', the first single from the highly anticipated sophomore studio album, 'Natural Selection'. The track will premiere on Pete Tong's legendary BBC Radio 1 show on 17th October, before receiving an official release through No.19 Music on the 10th November.

'Cruel Intentions' is a brooding whirlwind of hypnotic beats, layered synths and off-centre vocals courtesy of Kenny Glasgow. True to form, the track brims with Art Department's signature impeccable arrangement; simplistic perfection, distorted through a murderous bass line and raw textures, topped with hauntingly eerie spoken word verses by long-standing friend and collaborator, Seth Troxler.

Stepping up for the first remix is revered house master and Ibadan Records boss Jerome Sydenham. His 'Deep Space Dub' reinterpretation is just that - it relies on classic sounding drums, seeing Jerome layer space-age melodies whilst permeating the track with a kinetic sense of intergalactic energy. One for the late night hours, it's a sumptuous affair from start to finish.

Completing this most discerning package is Fred P, boss of the Soul People label and a true master of deep house, bringing two mixes to the table with his signature reshapes. Heavy drums, floating synth lines, which hover over the landscaped drums, really take the listener on a trip. Tension builds throughout and the original vocals are reduced to freaky, indecipherable mutters that add another level of intrigue to an already heady track.

MK aka Marc Kinchen should need no introduction, he still is the master of the finest Dubs and Remixes in the House business for more than two decades. His 1991 track Strider remained an obscure Detroit Techno classic only for those who know and were lucky enough to get hold of the a rare test pressing of MK's first release Get It Right! on his own imprint called Masahiro Records which later became Area 10. However Strider didn't made it to the official release and was replaced by another track, as years gone by a video of this true gem caught a lot of attention and leaded to this reissue eventually. The track was remastered and comes with an additional extended version edited by Mojuba's very own Oracy. Enjoy this almost forgotten piece of Detroit music history!

Legendary Deeply Rooted House records comes with a new serie releases called Rootstrax. First ep is by a mysterious French artist that remains unknown for now.

Ludovic is a composer who spent his youth in the north of france, learning music-making with computers (Commodore 64 and Amiga). After releasing a couple of techno/house 12 inches on small labels, he signed an artist contract (using his family name as a moniker) with french label F-Communications on 1997, releasing three EP's, followed by a LP ("Newcomer") on 2001. The album's huge success (more than 170.000 copies sold) leads him to stages around the world, touring for more than 3 years with musicians and singers, performing live in famous festivals (Montreux, Nice, Vienne, Den Haag, Les vieilles charrues) and in prestigious venues.

After releasing a mixed compilation ("My playlist") for Wagram Records in 2005, covering a wide range of musical genres, Ludovic focuses on remixing, working for respected labels such as 2020vision, Freerange, Compost Black Records, Brique rouge, Music Man, Chez Records, to name just a few. His efforts being rewarded by high-quality compilations licenses (Fabric 33) and critical acclaims. Contacted by french dj and producer Claude Monnet to join the Back To Fundamentals' compilation stable, Ludovic releases the track under a new pseudonym ("Miamik"). 'Insatiable', featuring female singer Tanya Michelle, reaches 8000 downloads in a couple of months. Besides, Ludovic starts composing soundtracks and bed-music for tv commercials and websites, working with famous brands such as Chanel, Guerlain, Henessy, Boucheron, or Yves Saint-Laurent.

Ludovic's most electronic and edgy project Art Of Tones ignites with a serie of EP's for 2020vision in 2006. Thanx to 'Praise' and 'Call The Shots (featuring Jaw)', the AOT project immediately receives positive feedbacks from big-name dj's and license requests for a plethora of brilliant compilations (Xpress 2 for NRK's coast to coast, Francois K for Ministry Of Sound's Masterpieces, Renaissance Masters serie). Later on, 'The World As I Live It EP' for the Hamburg-based label 'Room With A view' receives praises from top dj's such as Atjazz or Jimpster, followed by 'Too Much' being ranked in 'Resident Advisor's 2011 most played tracks'.
Ludovic is about to launch a bunch of brand new EP's on some of the most looked-after house-music labels : one of them is expected to be released on Local Talk after summer, the other ones being released on 'We Play House' and 'Lazy Days'. A new collaboration with female singer Tanya Michelle will be launched this summer on 'Defected Limited', and the first Blossom Kollektiv vinyl should feature an exclusive Art Of Tones track.

Atlanta-based artist follows his Sound Signature release w/this special 6-track affair for RSD that explores the nature of reality and being, the pursuit of ecstasy and bliss, and embracing the ephemeral.

The perfectly formed Italian label Claque is kick starting 2015 with a tidy new two track EP that features label boss Carola Pisaturo and Nick Anthony Simoncino in collaboration, and deep house pioneer Ron Trent on remix duties.

The label has been doing its do since 2006 and always offered cultured releases, and this one is no different. Italian Simoncino has released lots of great 12inches and Eps on labels like Mathematics, Skylax and Creme Organisation, whilst label boss Carola Pisaturo also releases on a range of other labels, if not rather infrequently.

The one original is Breeze, a deep, smoky house cut with kicks way below the surface, humid pads and spoken word vocal snippets all making for a spiritual and seductive atmosphere. Full of genuinely emotive soul and conjuring up a cuddly atmosphere that is insular and cerebral, meaningful and wholly complete, it is an archetypal deep house track that puts all modern imitators to shame.

Remixing is Ron Trent, founder of Prescription records and alongside Chez Damier someone who very much laid out the blueprint for deep house in the mid 1990s. His remix allows a little more colour into the mix. Strings, melodies, jazzy lines and more expressive percussive hits all make for a more uplifting listening, but the track is still resolutely deep and spiritual.

These two cuts are essential for any true fan of the deep.

With his accomplished Barcelona EP having turned the heads of Seth Troxler, Maya Jane Coles, Ben Pearce and Maribou State among many others, Church head honcho Seb Wildblood returns with a hugely assured EP that matches his nascent label's promising recent output. Side A opener Hunney is a blissful summer evening affair, offering a shimmering, reflective twist on new sounds that's tailor-made for cruising down the strip with the top down. Edmondson, meanwhile, delicately flips the script towards the dancefloor with a vibrant and ethereal remix perfect for a season of rooftops, beaches and back gardens. The A Side also features the EP's eponymous track, a downbeat, atmospheric and subtle piece that's over all too quickly and demands another listen. The B Side to Wildblood's latest release seems to possess a more timeless quality. Warm brings together a wealth of rich samples - think dreamy echoes, lush chords and irresistible drum programming - to create possibly the strongest club cut of the bunch. Church partner in crime Apes is on hand to turn in a catchy, swinging and snare-driven remix, while Kommune1 brings the curtain down on the EP with a deft reinterpretation of Come Into My House that preserves the original's soul and warmth whilst skilfully upping the intensity.

Transport' - the new full length effort of the Borderland collaborative project - brings together a new set of studio-refined sequences aimed at colonizing some of the dark energy that pulsates through those areas that are thoroughly electrified, even if not 'on the grid'.

The Detroit-Berlin axis triangulates to a third point which, like the atomic particle that lives in two places at once, flickers between a form of techno-charged ambience and a futuristic club-jazz which cannot be broken down into constitutive parts. Borderland remains caught in a state of enraptured stillness, invisibly moving between every imagined future for electronic sound making.

The result: a font from which springs serene and exhilarating musical ideas that vibrate with refined energy for sixty seconds in every minute.

The title track 'Untitled Love' is a dubbed up 90's-esque workout. Repetitive vocal samples swirl over a deep, low-slung bass groove & peak'd-up snares. Its an unashamedly wide eyed, bouncing production that'll please those checking for the current resurgence of raw garage sounds.

'Supernal' takes things into deeper territory with an intriguing steppers outing. The track oozes soul with rousing keys & smoked-out production that's all kept in line by a mesmerising, metronomic vocal. The set is closed by 'Metachemistry' an equally engrossing track utilising a shuffling groove wrapped in breathy, reedy horns & heavily reverbed percussion.
All told a deeply reverential release highlighting a producer with an obviously wide palette of influence & a natural feel for what simply works.

Saints & Sonnets drop its fifteenth release, the 'Perth & Kinross' EP coming courtesy of Quell.

Nikolas Raptis aka Quell is a Greek producer currently residing in Berlin, Germany and since dropping his debut material back in 2007 has gone on to deliver output for labels such as Ibadan, Kolour, 2020Vision and Tsuba. Here we see Raptis join the Saints & Sonnets roster, following recent releases from Artifact, Jabru and Three Bar.

Opening the release is 'The Ice Factory' which sees Quell employ distorted 909 rhythms; insistent stab sequences and an acid-tinged bass hook to open up the EP with a punch. Following is '2 0 2 0 2', retaining a similar aesthetic to the preceding cut with crunchy analogue drums, while raw stab hits, tension building sweeps and heavily processed vocal chops generate a frenzied feel to the composition throughout its near nine-minute duration.

First up on the latter half of the 12'' is 'Lady Hardcore', and as the name would suggest we're treated to rave-infused workout built around shuffle amen breaks, heavy doses of sub bass and square wave stabs and a general nod to the 90's embodied throughout. 'Military Press' tips things back to the 4/4 with a chuggy bass hook, expansive atmospheres and wandering arpeggios accompanying the rock-sturdy rhythms..

Ploiesti Romania area childhood friends Andu Simion, Dan Gheorghe and Bogdan Ardeleanu are inspired by Detroit's house sound and Berlin's techno. Their resulting collaboration is best described as "deep techno" and their first release is appropriately on Moods & Grooves known for pushing both envelopes. 'Les sons de la Lisie`re is a reflection of the beauty and silence of nature found in the suburbs of Ploiesti.

Brooklyn based producer shows off his knack for rich grooves, & melodies that are intoxicating in nature. The drive, & atmosphere are what led Deepblak's AYBEE to his work, & these ingredients on display as they speak to the head, & the feet.
