NYC producer Max In The World returns on his Bliss Point label with The Living Dub, four cuts of breaky, dubbed out house for the club in your head and your future. France’s Sentiments (Light On Earth, Groovedge) joins for a sub-heavy remix with some of the most undeniable acid of the year. Tip!

Idiosyncratic producer DMX Krew offers up four playful acid-tinged tracks for the Malekko Phase Mod EP, released through eclectic Spanish label/club night/promotion agency, Fanzine Records. The vinyl-only release is the first output of 2019 for the Coruna based imprint currently celebrating their 10th anniversary and is the follow up to C44's bizarro-techno Res Publica Populi Romani EP, and Dijuma's dubby and atmospheric Cold Tracks EP.

For DMX Krew's first Fanzine release the eccentric producer adopts a much lighter and brighter sound, in line with his recent records on Hypercolour and his classic output on Aphex Twin's Rephlex Records. The EP also comes hot on the heels of the prolific producer's latest album, Glad To Be Sad - twelve wavey cuts of vigorous electronic funk released in March through Hypercolour.

Kicking off the A-side with "Maleko Phase Mod", DMX Krew immediately conjures an effortlessly enjoyable mood. From the opening bars, a bouncing synth line is met with a classic acid house beat - prominently featuring the requisite skipping snares, rustic rimshots and phasing percussion that gives this track its distinctly Chicago feel. Meanwhile, shimmering chords fill the track with sunny warmth and enthusiastic energy.

Next up, "Smoke Stack" matches a groovy acid bassline with vintage drums, clusters of claps and a mischievous marimba-esque lead. Don't let the whimsy fool you, however, DMX Krew is a master craftsman at sequencing intricate synth lines and programming complex drum patterns.

On the flip, "Low Star" imbues DMX Krew's familiar elements bubbling bass, sparkling synths, and a pumping groove with a twisted 80s lo-fi essence. Crunchy claps, distorted hats, and tumbling toms keep the track bouncing at a frenetic pace, while a glossy lead contrasts with solemn pads to create a mood at once exuberant and earnest.

Closing track "Suspicion Ruff Mix" once again finds the producer riding a classic jacking 80s house beat, filling any gaps in the groove with crashing cymbals, rolling snares, and cascading claps. With his squelchy bass, vibrant lead, and oddball melody, DMX Krew concludes the Malekko Phase Mod EP with a sense of effervescent joy undeniably his own.

House and techno mainstay Loco Dice is stepping out with En Couleur, a brand new label reserved exclusively for his own music.

The first offering opens with 'Don't Run,' a twisted piece of afterparty techno. Weird fx and alien sound designs squirm in and out of a firmly rooted, rolling groove and pressurised hi hats add to the tension as the kicks grow ever more powerful. 'Nasty Train' explores high quality stripped back house grooves that ooze a certain sense of funk. The timeless hi hats are straight from Chicago while the crisp boom-bap drums, frazzled pads and muffled voices all add details that keep you locked until things grow more wild and unhinged at the mid point. Last of all, 'Ya Free Just Move' is a manic and pulsating acid workout that will leave the club in a frenzy.

Today, beloved DJ, producer and songwriter Lauren Flax announces her forthcoming EP, Out Of Reality out August 6 via 2MR. Much of Out Of Reality’s cohesion comes from Flax’s expansive production, using simple elements to craft intricate backdrops for the questions posed by her songs. On the EP’s titular track, Alejandra Deheza (School of Seven Bells)’s crystalline vocals are woven against a delicate tapestry of arpeggiated keys, sparse percussion and haunting cello. Detachment isn’t always detrimental; sometimes you have to step outside to get a better view. Lauren Flax knows this - as a DJ, producer and songwriter, her discography is notoriously genre-defiant, consisting of an impressive array of solo tracks, collaborations, and remixes. The most recent of these – her mesmerizing take on Pale Blue’s “Breathe” - saw her experimenting with a new style of writing. “I wanted to explore that sound more,” Flax explains, “more of a synth exploration, textures with less beats.” The pared-down songwriting approach lent itself to thematic considerations as well: she’d been thinking about the repetitive nature of the life cycle - the Indian concept of Samsara - and felt a general disappointment at humanity’s lack of progress. On her new EP Out Of Reality, she washes that disappointment in lush sonic hues, stepping outside the quotidien for a new perspective.

Though its themes span beyond the scope of our current socio-political moment, Out Of Reality feels, right now, like an especially tantalizing proposition. Pandemic-driven escapism has bred a new crop of otherworldly music designed to transport the listener somewhere better. But Flax isn’t interested in escapism for its own sake - there’s still work to be done here on Earth, after all. Instead, through a combination of live instrumentation and ethereal synths, Out Of Reality grants us a respite from the real so we can return to it with a clear head.

Fourth and definitely last EP from the enigmatic Donna T. Serious old school vibes as usual, from stomping peaktime acid techno to Khmer house classics and emotional sunset proto-trance. 909s, 303s, breakbeats and all the other things you can't live without. This is the perfect soundtrack both for dancing like it's 1995 and for crying because it's not and never will be again. Thanks and goodbye from Donna T, it's been good times!

AGT Records is back, just in time for Spring. Legend has it that the mysterious Hansel J. Tripwire was locked away at the abandoned Riverview Mental Hospital with nothing but a typewriter, a calculator and a Commodore 64 computer for company. ‘Sounds from the Sanitarium’ is the soundtrack to the party he had.

On the A, an urgent bassline propels the track forwards, balanced by glitchey samples that shoot around crisp percussion. The B is the funkier of the two, with a similarly chunky bassline providing the backdrop for shuffling high-hats and robotic synths to spiral above.

The EP is both menacing and playful, and is sure to cause some seriously wiggy peak-time and after-hours moments. AGT Records is rescuing this weapon from the vaults, all in good time.

When Steve Lawler first sent us 'Crazy Dream,' he told us that he had made the record 'specifically with Turbo in mind,' thus sending us on a quasi-lucid journey down a rabbit hole of self-discovery from which we have only recently emerged. Most labels would simply talk up a nuts-to-the-wall floor-filler with a killer 'White Horse' bassline from an acid house legend and be done with it, but the fact remains that if we forgo an opportunity to learn more about ourselves as dance music imprint, we are doing our fans a disservice whether they could possibly be expected to realize it or not. We hired a board-licensed Forensic Poet to parse the track's lyrical references to nothing being 'quite as it seems,' 'feeling naked and confused,' and rising above 'the push and shove.' What was he trying to tell us The poet assured us that all it meant was that Lawler admires Turbo and thought the track would be a good fit, and that we should put our clothes back on, wipe the confused looks from our faces, and stop pushing and shoving one another because everything was exactly as it seemed. We paid him his $25 and did as we were told. For the remixes, we took a track made especially for us and enlisted a diverse cast of Turbo All-Stars to spin it into a release for everyone, a proprietary practice we call 'Human Alchemy: The Future of Generosity™.' Finland's Jori Hulkkonen, Belgium's Charlotte de Witte, and Argentina's DJs Pareja trace a beautiful global triangle for lovers of acid bangers, stripped-down techno, and tripped-out weirdness, respectively. At Turbo, giving party people what they need is more than just a crazy dream. It's a crazy reality.

UK duo Local Group (aka Corporeal Face and LMajor) follow up their sold out ‘Laser Done’ EP and appearance on ‘Secret Rave 4’ with a ‘Fresh Rhythms’ EP that may contain tracks up to three years old.

After last summer’s appearance at Field Maneuvers, the Oxford festival they’re residents at, one punter requested ‘Local Group for 36 hours straight’ in 2020. Negotiations are on-going. In the meantime, this four-tracker provides almost 25 minutes of their ‘Field Maneuvers famous’ sound.

‘Baby Talk’ self-identifies as a ‘Hardcore Summer Anthem’. It’s got uplifting piano and a glissando, the classic switch up between light and dark, and a spine-tingling vocal that fitted like a silk glove. Why wear a silk glove in the studio? It helps EQ your snares, bro. ‘Fresh Rhythm’ is ‘avin’ it 150BPM hardcore acid breaks with a brief but cheeky donk mid- section. It’s the title track but is on A2. A mystery deeper than the cover of The Beatles ‘Abbey Road’ album. ‘Stolen Dreams’ continues the acid, but in breakbeat house form – in reverence to 1992’s ‘XL- Recordings: The Third Chapter - Breakbeat House’ compilation. Samples various favourite tracks about dreams, hence the title. Follow your dreams. They may be cheating on you. ‘Back In The Daze’ is late 90s D &;B, a formative era for Local Group, channeled into 130 amen breaks and topped with the sort of soulful vocal loved by all-time hero Manix. As the saying goes, if you can remember the 90s you weren’t there. At a squat rave. On K.

Massive split EP between two legends of rave.

Presence Unknown is a vinyl and digital label curated by longtime producer and DJ, Neil Keating aka Controlled Weirdness. Neil has been behind the decks and deeply involved in all aspects of club and underground sound system culture since the early Eighties. He has released his music on numerous underground labels and performed all over the world, from plush clubs to dirty warehouses. Worth a read are a couple of published articles by Neil regarding his experiences on the dance floor of underground clubs in London and New York in the Eighties. See links at the bottom of this page for these as well as a detailed biography and discography. There is also a link to a recent 40-minute interview with Distant Planet TV that explores his cultured rave history.

The third release on Presence Unknown contains four slamming tunes, crafted with precision by Controlled Weirdness using a variety of analogue and digital machines in his South London studio. The A-side features some deep and bass heavy electro acid for the dance floor. "Ghosts of the Heygate" and "Running on Empty" feature rolling 808 boom with 303 groove. The flip side starts off with "Are you angry or are you boring?" a future-retro rave anthem with lately bass and killer mentasm stabs and has been destroying dance floors on dub during Controlled Weirdness’ DJ sets the past six months. The EP closes with, "Strange Desires", a slow, sleazy, slinky and salacious groove. Music from the margins. Presence Unknown.

Respawn Ep is the result of three months spent in lockdown,
where The Robinson leveraged an interest in old oriental fighter
movies and games. The sounds and strategic approach
influenced the duo in their newest Ep released by Flankup
Recordings, as immediately noted by the titles of the tracks.
Checkpoint’s tribal drum prepares the listener for the war dance
that is to come. The journey begins here, the cards have been
dealt, the synth accompanies the warrior to battle.
Deathmatch catches you in a whirlwind, the stark hits and acid 303
mix with violent toms. This is a fight to the death reminiscent of
Japanese video games where the sole objective is to be the last
man standing.
The battle is over, the warrior has won, it is his time to Respawn.
He is victorious and in a day-dream, the piano lifts his heart high
above the clouds. The pad and drum stay resolutely beside him on
his journey home.

Tokyo Horoki or Tokyo Wanderings is a collection of Pleasure Cruiser’s collaborations from living in Tokyo, these tracks were made across continents started and finished in Tokyo, Okayama, Berlin and London.

Swiss DJ Alex Attias returns to BBE with a second helping of uptempo cuts, perfectly encapsulating his LillyGood Party! sound. Founder of the recently revived Visions imprint, a long-time collector and a revered selector, Alex Attias is, before everything, a refined producer whose musical craft has seen him travel the globe, most notably with an extended stint in the birthplace of the bruk sound, London. The tracks you’ll find on this compilation are all current favourites, or proven classics that have never left Alex's record box at the LillyGood Parties, a gathering Alex and his brother Stephane run in their hometown of Lausanne, Switzerland. LillyGood Party! Vol.2 is another testament to Attias’ unswerving taste for smooth yet intricate, subtly layered yet deeply rooted dance compositions; some subtly edited for maximum dance-floor effect. Yarn Init overtake you from the right on the Databahn with “Good Call”. In 2020 we started their engine when we released their track “Blind Step” on CLEAR003. Other Side Of The Mirror brings yet more lofi drum machine groove to the table, before we’re drowned in a sea of lush, ambient vintage synthesizers at the breakdown. See You There is the perfect way to close out – if robots in the 80’s dreamt of paradise islands, this was to soundtrack to their dreams. Sublime.

Label owner, Timothy Clerkin has produced a 303-propelled, Acid-House dance-floor destroying remix of Everyday Diamonds, which provides a counterpoint to the wobbly tape, slow-mo originals, ensuring that the YOKOCHO sound can be translated into any club environment.

X-Ray records' catalogue is as under the radar as it is rich and ahead of its time. Releasing between 1992 and 1994, most of the label's outputs were produced by Raymond Castoldi. Although people primarily know Castoldi for being the music director and organist in Madison Square Garden, he also has a lesser known chapter of his life. In the early 1990s, Raymond released 6 EPs on his imprint X-Ray Records. By coupling his musical education with a four-on-the-floor club pattern, Castoldi managed to create a jazzy vibe with spaceous sounds and keyboard jams, all coalescing into a relaxing atmosphere that would eventually become the signature sound of 90's deep house.In partnership with Castoldi, Kalahari Oyster Cult delivers the goods once again: 11 tracks from the X-Ray catalogue over a 3LP for your deejaying pleasure.

Cin Cin opens it's 2019 account with the inspired pairing of Joe Goddard and Kiwi.

A production 'tour de force' over the last decade, Joe Goddard has had his fingers in many pies (Hot Chip, The 2 Bears, Greco-Roman Soundsystem to name but a few) but it's on this Cin Cin debut that he bares his solo chops and delivers something for the floor. The darker roots of acid house are channelled on 'Jack Come Back', with a rubbery bassline and churning keys loaded over the vintage drum machine rhythms as the deviant vocal calls out the track title. 'Moebius Trip' takes a headier journey through wave upon wave of melodic modular synthesis and crumpled beats, with a nod to Detroit's techno-soul heritage, whilst packing a punch with the energy levels.

Fresh out of winter, time for ploughing. Five o’clock Traffic and TowLie know each other well, and never hesitate to dive head first in a maelstrom of acidic grooves and metallic sounds. A good opportunity to dig in the fertile Swedish soils. From Malmö to Stockholm, stopping at the Valhalla, synthesizers and drum machines on the shoulder, this is the 7th release of the label CAF?

Nico Nightingale as "Neud Photo" has been on a tear lately and this latest offering for Mysidian shows up as his most dark and menacing.
The electro meets techno sound we know him for is still prevalent but the amnesia-inducing ‘Dreamz’ also carries thumping EBM and New Beat influences. R&S meets Subway meets Mute.

While each track plays on it’s own themes independently with tasteful vocal samples and industrial energy, the thing they all have in common is obvious. They completely satisfy aural wishes excited only during states of R.E.M. They are simply and undisguisedly realizations of wishes.

Here is Another's second release, a 3 tracks EP from Chicago's iconic house producer Rick Wade, who has reinvented himself in the recent years. This is quite obvious on this record which oscillates between old school and modernity, especially with the track Be The One on B2, a futuristic deep house anthem. Rick fan's won't be disappointed ! Don't sleep on this one. Vinyl Only !

The necromantic antibeats is the first longplayer by DJ WEB (Walid El Barbir). Repetitive and funky drum-compositions contradict vocal samples resembling horror, suffering, pain and malady, combining both into very playful compositions which contain seductive joy and the ill depths of mankind (hell) at the same time. Dead poems for the eager & the lost evoking forgotten potentials through ritualistic repetitions.

Phuture only released a handful of tracks (plus an album a full decade after their debut), but have remained a legendary act in the development of Chicago house for their stomping 1987 single "Acid Trax", the track that began and defined the acid house sound. The group was formed by DJ Pierre, synthesizer fan Spanky and Herb J in 1985 as a recording entity to produce records for Pierre to mix into his sets at several crucial Chicago clubs. After being turned on to the high-pitched squelch of the Roland TB-303 synthesizer (marketed as a bassline machine for solo guitarists), the trio emerged from the studio with a track they called "In Your Mind". Ron Hardy previewed the track at his legendary club the Music Box - where it became known as "Ron Hardy's Acid Track" - and Phuture re-made the cut with production by Marshall Jefferson. Released on Trax Records in 1987, the single created a dividing point between the Chicago sound before and after it, with hundreds of "Acid Trax" imitations flooding the local market. After it caught on in Britain as well, the single soundtracked the wave of club madness which coalesced in the rave movement by the end of the decade.

Firstly, you arrive at the 'Future Zone’. You tap the passcode into the keypad. Success! The sound of Balearic Trance awaits you. Computer code scrolls past the interface as your mental state is set to Hedonistic Bliss. A race through space is the place.

No time to ponder though, as you are bundled onto to the next stage, a humid tropical haunt they call 'Aztec Zone’. Some sort of supernatural presence tails you as reverberating wails call out from the deep. Focus, focus. Secure the crystal, flip the disc and proceed to the other side.

'Industrial Zone' quickens your heart rate. Metal sparks, machines clash and synths ping about. You feel revitalised and assured in your chances of progress. Suddenly you are transported to a dark room with what appears to be a hologram of Ruf Dug presenting you with a crystal. Do you accept? Your hand reaches out but your feet give way. Crumbs – trap door.

You land with a crunch in the concluding 'Medieval Zone’, with a pair of sandals curiously strapped to your soles. With a quick sip of mead you are beckoned by the sound of a distant chime. Cue the Crystal Dome and roll end credits. All calm. The trip has come to an end but Ruf Dug is nowhere to be seen.

What has just happened? Was it at all real? Only one way to be sure. Return to the edge of NBD009 and the journey through the Crystal Maze.

Turbo Recordings is honoured to present the latest from label founder Tiga, another career pinnacle from the man many call Mr. Pinnacle. "It’s always special for me to put out a record on Turbo,” says Tiga. "As label owner, it was an easy yes. As a valued label artist, I was pleasantly surprised by my decision."

Tiga produced the record with Quinn from Paranoid London, aka Johnny Aux, at the latter’s old-school subterranean London studio, mixing raw acid house and electro with a live, one-take vocal fuelled by a brief but torrid affair with Fair Lady Alcohol. “His studio is the only place I ever really drink. You probably think of me as as an ascetic Marc Aurelius type, but as it turns out, I’m not immune to the infectious grins of the sweet lager lads of Old London Town."

Turning off the humour-powered afterburners for a moment, the story behind the song’s creation is serious in nature. Tiga recorded “Colours So Bright" shortly after attending the funeral of his close friend, the legendary producer Philippe Zdar. “I felt enveloped by his spirit,” says Tiga. “The record’s artwork is a photo from Ibiza, where we loved to spend time together with our families every year. The song inspired by and dedicated to him."

Rounding out the release is a dub version for those understandably sickened by the sound of the human voice, as well as the operatic “October Trance Song,” which Tiga describes as “designed for exactly the kind hands-in-the-air moment at a party that doesn’t exist right now. It’s like a pair of high heels but I’m a farmer. Or a rough-and-tumble ranch hand, but still with high heels. But I know the day will come when I can cast off these overalls and make that moment a reality again. See you in 2029."

The "On the Road with Microcon" is the essence of a two-year history in the form of an album by Bernese producer Rafael Kasma. His music took on a new twist during this period - dry house tracks in Mountain People style, combined with breaks, acid, electro, and even pop-ish attitudes. One constant, however, remains with all the resulting songs: The monophonic synthesizer "Microcon", produced in the nineties. This musical diary is complemented by interpretations by Youandewan, Adrian Bergmann and Kevin Villar.

Milio is one half of the duo Tunnelvisions. His solo debut EP is the result of experimenting with sequencers, tape machines and wires. The four tracks meander in the deep house and melodic techno genres. The last bits of the mix and recordings are done at the prestigious W2 studios that host producers from all over the world.

Gerd Janson, Lexx, Bell Towers, Belia Winnewisser, DJ Kaos and Never4ever remixed Ethimm’s By Night EP.

We all know Nights are nicer when you are with your friends, so Ethimm asked some of his old friends and favorite acts to remix his recent EP ‘By Night’. Quite a few hopped on the bandwagon: Germany’s most prolific remixer and DJs DJ Gerd Janson turned Ethimm’s ‘Lies’ into a relentlessly deep and driving house cut with drums reminiscent of New Order. Balearic boss Lexx stripped the track down to its bare vocal and rebuilt it with a 90ies New York vibe. Bell Towers added his prototypical leftfield approach to ‘Don’t Go Away’, while Berlin’s legendary DJ Kaos remade it into a classic acid stomper. The remix EP is completed by newcomer Never4Ever’s breakbeat treatment of the same track and swiss experimental queen Belia Winnewisser’s treatment of ‘Island Jam’.

A blossoming creative relationship has been bubbling between young talent CERPINTXT and Stevie R ever since she appeared on his label Inside Out in late 2017.

'Madilo' ignites the fire, a bright, relentless house affair laced with a dreamy vocal chop and an underslung bassline that bites beneath the surface like a shoal of piranhas. Twisted but restrained and peppered with infectious percussion, it sets the
scene for the Greco-Egyptian collaboration in London perfectly. 'Red Lemon' is a much darker jam that's built around a granular staccato riff that changes in texture and weight as more loopy layers are introduced. The word hypnotic is bandied
around too much these days, but this truly is a mesmerising moment.

Meanwhile in the parallel universe of remixes, Chapter 24 have gone to town, recruiting two significant and influential heavyweights on the revision duties.
Counterchange bossman Ed Davenport returns from his Inland guise for a thumping twist of 'Red Lemon' that's equal parts pneumatic and aquatic, while Man Power breaks down the original groove to its bare-naked acid line and rebuilds it with a
crushing analog hook, off-beat timpani and a host of subtle trippy textures.

Two exceptional originals, two respectful, innovative remixes, one massive album to look forward to. Stevie R is just warming up.

Flippen Disks follows up their much acclaimed label-debut with an intriguing second release by Yuto Takei.

Throughout the Bells From The East EP, Yuto Takei’s first vinyl release, displays a wide array of sounds with a particular interest in rhythmic experiments and the negotiation of sonic space.

The Tokyo-based producer and DJ takes the listener onto a trip through deep spheres, percussive workouts, jammy compositions and electronic psychedelia, leaving the listener at times startled as to whether humans are manipulating machines here, or vice-versa.
Having worked as an electronic music composer for video games such as Gran Turismo, this uncanny valley is known territory for the artist. It is, however, further explored on this four tracker, staying true to Flippen Disks paradigm of releasing club-oriented music, non-functional enough to not only be danced but also listened to.

While the title track Bells From The East is an 8 minute jam, in which the krauty psych attitude pairs up perfectly with the goofy lead melody, Eclectic Matters is an intense percussive workout, refined with a pinch of Digi-Dub.

On the flip, Karma Fuchi feels like a paraglide through a landscape of tree tops, curious winds passing and entrancing synths and percussion stabs leading the way. Mostica closes the EP beautifully and spaciously, allowing for deep dives into its detailed soundscape and waving the listener peacefully goodbye.

Curiosity towards world music, shamanistic approach to rhythms and cosmic levels in life made it happen.
There are five different kind of tracks in the ep.
The intro track "Haiku" is a mood setter for the whole journey. Inspired by the mid eastern mystical soundscapes.
Second track "Bonefire" follows the path, painting a picture of desert campfire, where travellers psychedelic guitar will trip you out as your body follows the rhythm.
Third track "Acid Yerli" is the climax on the ep. Turkish disco and acid house combined, you don ́t have to be scientist to figure out the forecast.

On the flip side "X4" is a different kind of expedition.
Hear the waves hitting the rocks and balearic breese corressing your cheek bones. Track "X4" is a kind of balearic homage to eighties AOR, seasoned with chanting soft voice of Finnish singer Suva.
Last track "Gentle" relaxes your mind and body. The piece has a grounding vibe, with healing resonances that will restore your energy.

Shadow Acid follows up breakbeat debut Timescape with The Shadow Acid Files EP.

The mysterious Shadow Acid figure comes back at the end the year to present more of his sound with four new tracks, a remix from Hamburg based duo Extrawelt and a heady resource of locked grooves for vinylist DJs.

Shadow Acid’s sound marries acid futurism and references to the 90s rave, anything goes ethos of the past. It’s a sound that has rightfully earned the enthusiasm of a wave of music fans and DJs across the summer and has been played across BBC6 Music, Rinse FM and the streaming platforms around the world.

For those who missed the highly desirable promo 12” an EP version of the track ‘Timescape’ is included here and an extraordinary Extrawelt remix develops the mechanics of the breakbeat and drops the bass down even to deeper levels than on the driving force of the original. Across new tracks Brainforest, Diode Ladder, Another Chance and Seahawk, Braindance acid is melded with bass, ultimately made with dancing at their core.

In 2016, Pont Neuf Records was born, with the mission of supporting the emergence of a new scene of electronic artists in France. Its first release “Habemus Paname”, bringing together artists like Folamour, Tour-Maubourg and Sweely, marked the label’s first success, accompanied by a launch party in the lair of the legendary Rex Club in Paris. Since then, no less than 25 releases - EPs, compilations, albums - have forged the identity of Pont Neuf, recognized in 2019 by Mixmag as ‘‘one of the French scene’s most essential imprints’’. Since our beginning we've been into pure, honest and deep love to the music. When an artist shows a great talent and even greater personality, we simply pay attention. But when a collaboration overgrow the expectations, an artist becomes a important part of your story. Down & Out is the first studio based album produced by Joe Newham , released under the stage name Gavinco. This album is a electronic production with the combination of an Acid Jazz instrumentation alongside. Once again, the mighty graphics wizards Doppeldenk from Leipzig provided us with a delightfull artwork. And once again, you'll get a record that sports a kaleidoscope of sophisticated dance music from Uncanny Valley veterans and newcomers. This time with the emphasis on bright and positive timbres which can be associated with the colour yellow. Cuthead starts things with a bang and his PARTY CHORDS set the tone perfectly (including neck pain after nodding your head to the beat like there's no tomorrow). If chords could be president this would get a lot of votes. Massimiliano Pagliara shifts down a gear with the acoustic road trip SUNSET FUNK, a masterfully arranged track, made up for driving around on your bike, skateboard or whatever vehicle you are using to get from A to B. The slow and sexy IWESU YEWISU from the soul brothers of Duererstuben is a longtime favorite in the Uncanny Valley headquarters. We are super happy that this groover will finally see the light of day. Panthera Krause provides the subtle but euphoric THE NAKED NOW, a House music lesson that's bubbling under the surface. And finally, Uncanny Valley first-timer Daniela Da Luz closes the record with WHEN YOU GO ALL IN AND WAIT, a drum heavy but also embracing excursion into your own neural circuit
