Emerging deep from within the depths of the Brooklyn underground. Upsetting Keys seeks to inform, to educate and inundate. This time they are armed with emotional, unknown electronic structures that originated back in the late 90s. The audio sculptures presented on this release specifically pass somewhere in a shape between total art form and other, much more subliminal and subdued opaque constructs. reade truth, iconic producer of planet e and sonic groove fame, rewinds all the way back to his first imprint, reintroducing to the public to the elusive and oft hyped Path Records.

Upsetting Keys, a name whispered privately by elite DJ's around the world, is a modern example of the electronic, underground real deal. Almost 15 years ago, Jake Reif (L.I.E.S, Savage Hymn) started his production career working alongside Reade Truth @ his infamous Zone of FX studio; each of them expressing in a unique, uncompromising style a frustration and dissatisfaction with music scene, politics, life and everything in general. Regularly intense, 24 hour studio sessions resulted in the inimitable sound-scapes that have come to be known as "Upsetting Keys".

Back in 2001, their debut EP "Empathy" was a silent masterpiece, inhibited only by sound quality and availability. Finally, these tracks get the treatment they initially deserved, with proper audio mastering carefully applied. Upsetting Keys, initially trapped in an era where dull throw-away concepts dominated early techno culture, can now freely present their unusual techniques which involved impossible sampling, maniacal rhythms and infectious melodic content, all of which lay waste to those past aesthetics.

After a long hiatus, both Path Records and flagship artist, Upsetting Keys can be appreciated for what it was, and still is... ground-breaking innovative punk spiritualism, surprisingly not unsimiliar from their peers: Front 242, Skinny Puppy, Cabaret Voltaire, Derrick May and so on.

T-Coy's 'Cariño' - An all-time UK acid house classic from 1987. Fusing the industrial clicking and whirring of the UK's post-industrial landscape with the lush, melodic, balearic inspired piano lines of the white isle and sucking us all in in the process. A true masterpiece courtesy of Mancunians Mike Pickering, Simon Topping and the late Ritchie Close who's combined projects included Quando Quango, M-People, Annette, A Certain Ratio and more. It's truly hard to believe this record is 30 years old. It can easily stand shoulder to shoulder with anything being released today. The B-side 'Regret' is also an amazing, minimal slice of punk-funky 808 driven niceness. Super stripped back and with an innocent charm and poppy vibe it is the perfect foil to the latino house chaos of 'Cariño' on the other side. One could argue that the A-side will take you up, and the B-side will bring you down (In the best possible way!). This classic has been legally reissued by Above Board distribution in conjunction with the legal rights holders - Sony Music Entertainment. This high quality repress features original 1987 Deconstruction Records label artwork and has been remastered from Sony's original sources by Optimum Mastering, Bristol UK.

After PINK and RED comes ORANGE. It's the third out of seven records for the celebrations of the 50th Uncanny Valley release. And it's tailor-made for pure dance floor delight. Sweden's Jo-Rel aka Joel Alter spells out house music on HUMAN MATRIX with great effect. You can't resist being dragged along by a track that is well composed down to the last tiny little detail, but always comes across light and easy. Synth stabs for the masses. Uncanny Valley-Newcomer Karima F from Oslo delivers FLACCID HOUSE, a track that feels like the perfect way to make ravers resurrect. The track is based on few, but effectively used ingredients like a hammering broken beat and those odd vocal bits. Thus, it gets to the point without detours. Being a scene-legend himself, Toronto's Basic Soul Unit contributes GROTTO BOUNCE, a raw but precise nod to classic Detroit and Acid tunes. Finally, former Hamburger and now Berliner Christopher Rau is in full play mode and turns on all the equipment in the studio for PARADIJS, a wonky house track that gives you goose bumps even though he may be throwing you out of step.

Never underestimate the power of a good bassline. Mark du Mosch certainly doesn't. This veteran from the harbor city of Rotterdam let's his vicious bass line creep up on you from behind on 202 AC Ra. A dark and jacking club belter with clear Chicago roots. The five track EP The Heavens may be his debut on SoHaSo, Du Mosch has been releasing music for over fourteen years on a variety of respected underground labels, such as Moustache, Dekmantel and Royal Oak. His versatile style draws on sounds that evoke strong mental imagery and a sense of eternity, which clearly shows on the introspective Resonance Delay (She) on the B-side. In which a melancholic melody is supported by muffled slow motion beats. The beautiful artwork on The Heavens EP is by Joost Stokhof, an Amsterdam based graphic designer who is known for his love for detail. Which makes him perfectly suited for Du Mosch' subtle and well crafted dance tunes. In a normal world you would open your EP with the title track. Du Mosch chooses to close with it. The Heavens stays true to it's name. A harp like melody that washes ashore as foam from a greyblue Northsea that calmed down after the storm. Heaven indeed.

Following a well received string of releases on 'Analogical Force', 'Furthur Electronix' and 'Feel My Bicep' James Shinra makes his debut release on 20/20 Vision. Shinra displays his musical dexterity and diverse influences across this 4 track EP delving deeper into the realms of electro and techno.

'Route 909' serves up emotive melodies rooted down with a heavy kick before working the keys hard to maximum effect. 'Flyby' is a beautiful moment of electronic bliss reminiscent of the great Aphex Twin, while the acid soaked '1111' is a certified dance floor bomb.

Shinra isn't adverse to switching tempos and beats and can also deliver flawless techno. The cleverly structured and melodically complex 'On & On' rounds up the wax with a track that makes you want to drift away on the dance-floor, prepare to be transported to a future world where machines have emotions.

MATHEMATICS RECORDINGS continues to push boundaries moving into boogie & funk territories with KELTON PRIMA'S "IN2" album release. The project is a fusion of Nubian synthetic textures with that popular Parisian R&B dance aesthetic of AIR, DAFT PUNK & GEORGE DUKE.

Daniel Araya from Stockholm, Sweden splits his music creation into periods of playing live, building synths and trying to record techno and acid bangers in his home studio. For years he had all his focus on playing live and developing the ultimate live rig but since 2013 he has started to release a steady trickle of records in various genres with a sound revolving around acid techno and the golden years of rave. When I make music I have no direct plan and the styles can be quite varied. Every now and then, a good track pops up that doesn't really fit in with the others, and those tracks I save. Lamour got to choose freely from that pool, I love to let others choose! Warehouse acid is a DJ tool with classic rave piano, smack it on the sound system and maybe pitch it down for even more punch and run it early as a warmup! Operatii is a track from about 2013 that I made into an EP that never got released. Which was probably just as well, the other three tracks didn't measure up and went in the trash! Elephant acid is a track made when I beta tested a new drum machine, that is why I have the distorted bass drum that I usually don't use. I put some distortion on the 303 for good measure too!
I'm lost is a bit uncharacteristic song for me, I have a weakness for old trance sounds and Balearic. I don't usually dare to really go for it but here all the pieces fell into place and a nice 90íes-guilty-pleasure-sound came out the other end!

Acid Lamour is a sub label for Lamour Records started in 2018 with a focus on techno and acid dedicated DJs. Releases are limited to 303 vinyls, no re-press.

After his superb remix for Nightwave on our LTD label, we had to get him on board for an EP. The Super Rhythm Trax / Don’t Records boss really flexes his muscles on these heavyweight offerings – effortlessly blending super sharp drum programming with his signature “acidic bleeps and breaks” style, delivering 4 clever-yet-no-nonsense jams to make you move for a long time to come.

This is a man unquestionably at the top of his game both in the studio and behind the decks, and we couldn’t be happier to have him as part of the DEXT family.

Seven Hills is pleased to be reissuing 3 sought after tracks from Glyn Bush's mid 90s side project Airgoose, perhaps better known as part of Brummie dub/reggae-techno group Rockers Hi-Fi, Outernational Wah shot up in price recently following a resurgence in its popularity symptomatic of the current trend of digging old obscure records. Extreme amounts of sleaze on this dusty, strange deep house track, with some very unique production make Outernational Wah a timeless dance-floor bomb, finally getting the recognition it deserves. The flip side, Programmable Rhythmer (Top Gear Mix) is taken from the only other record made under the Airgoose alias, similarly weird, raspy synth lines and a deep plodding groove.

Born out of the ashes of Darkwood Dub, one of the Balkans’ most revered alternative rock bands during the 90's/00's, Bella Technika is the latest project of Bojan Drobac, the group’s guitarist and main songwriter. Joined by former bandmate bass player Milorad Ristic as well as opera singer Katarina Jovanovic, amongst others, Bojan has found a new direction with Bella Technika.

Bella Technika join forces with Super Weird Substance for Substance Select Vol. 2, which features three remixes and an original production from the band’s debut ‘Section’ LP, released last year.
Continuing their prolific form, Greg Wilson and Ché Wilson provide the first remix, taking album opener ‘Reinvented Daily’ into psychedelic territory with vocoder and dub fx.

Lee Perry AKA Peza provides the second mix, a jacking, acid fuelled reimagining of ‘I Feel Light’ - alongside Sara Lucas’ primal vocal it evokes the halcyon days of house music. Up next, Henry Greenwood provides a wonky, idiosyncratic version of ‘Heat Control’, with Katarina, Bojan and Milorad’s repetitive vocals floating over a steady chugging groove. The EP finishes up with the original fully titled ‘Suddenly I Feel So Light’, exhibiting the live band/electronic fusion that established their reputation across Europe.

After his outing at the beginning of 2018, Amrint Keen (an alias of Lake People reserved for his rawer, broken and more experimental productions) is following up on Uncanny Valley with a new EP. And boy, nobody else does dance tracks so unpretentious, but still demanding. Oscillating between house and electro rhythms, the tracks once again show his midas touch of combining subtlety and fun on the dance floor. A track like TRANSIENT LOSS OF RESPONSE explores the corners of urban landscapes and finds melancholy, but also a pumping urgency for the club. MAYBE IT WON'T BE comes with a pretty funny but throughout stable track architecture consisting of many different toy blocks disguised as sounds. DOOZY OF A DAY is indeed a doozy of a track that maybe just fell in love considering the infatuated synths. And also CREPUSCULAR can't hide its romantic qualities after an abrupt start with impetuous drumming. As with the first Amrint Keen record, the artwork comes from Murat Oenen, a painter born in Istanbul and now a graduate at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts.

Nexus 21 and Altern 8 legend Mark Archer teams up with one of House Music's hottest properties, Shadow Child for this explorative mission into the harder end of the genre. The three tracks range from the exposive Acid House of 'It's Good' ; as catchy as it is jacking, through 'Non Stop' that expertly squeezes the most from a Mr. Fingers style synth to great effect and culminates with 'Eye Feel' which straight up bangs the party.

The fourth track is a remix of 'Non Stop' by Jerome Hill that opens it out adding lush strings and some extra bounce.. There's even a subtle piano in there somewhere !

The latest Toy Tonics release comes straight from London with a remix by Germany's finest TUFF CITY KIDS. Metropolitan Soul Museum or MSM are Nick & Filippo. The pair have been running together Nick's Teng Records for the past 3 years - the label was set up to release Nick's Akra project music as well as other artists. Heads will remember this great imprint. Always crossing borders. Never being boring. Nick was also part of Mock & Toof, a duo that had quite a buzz when they were releasing freaky house music just few years ago. MSM have had a good start already: they self-released their Ruff Trk 4 a few months ago - including a remix by ROUND, the guy from Talabot's Hivern Discs. The interesting thing about MSM is also their live act: Playing with 707, Vintage keys, Machine and various effects - a similar set up for their studio production brought on the dance floor. Granary 12 kick off their run of self titled releases with G12-01. 'Diga' starts things off on the A-side with tribal drums and repetitive vocals that culminates in the duos usual sound. In our never ending quest to keep it real, funky & freaky we present to you our newest venture: Sublimate Records. Presenting quality music has always been at the forefront of what we do, so it was only natural that we get into the rekkid business. A 4 track various EP with a lil bit of something for everyone, these songs reflect what a Sublimate might sound like . First up is another dancefloor beater by family friend Love Letters in his signature vocal cut up style. Next up a live jam by Russell E.L. Butler & Indy Nyles resulting in some melanin heavy electro heat. Liquid Asset continues to deliver excellent work with a warm acid drenched bubbler. Finally track-master Ali Berger pulled Turtle Bugg in his studio for a house beat and live take of THC induced shit talkin.

Melbourne based producer Furious Frank has been making plenty of noise of late. He returns in 2019 with his very own imprint “Mind Dance”, of which will undoubtedly be home to much of his expanding portfolio of high quality, club ready tracks. His debut Mind Dance release ‘Infinity Pool’ unveils a diverse yet unified front. Touching on early 90s acid, electro and trance, the release is brought together by a common thread of crisp, classic analog drums and 303 acid lines. Frank expertly contrasts these driving rhythms with moody pads and spoken word samples calling us back to the 90s, creating a nostalgic sense of euphoria sure to capture the hearts and minds of any early morning dance floor. 2019 marks 35 years since DJ Pierre started DJing and began laying the groundwork forwhat would become Acid House. His new, seven-part series of 35 remixes of Phuture’s ‘Acid Track’ is a celebration Pierre’s first monumental release and the spark for a new genre that changed dance music forever.
After a first volume staring the likes of KiNK, Bloody Mary and Paco Osuna comes part two, again on limited edition coloured vinyl, featuring heavyweight remixes from Carl Cox, Luciano, Anfisa Letyago, Lorenzo Cheng and Najel Monteiro.

Intec label boss, RESISTANCE Ibiza resident and long-time dance music titan Carl Cox is as in demand now as he ever was. His spin on ‘Acid Track’ is one that teases and pleases with big builds and hard hitting drums. The acid line is paired right back then grows throughout until taking over and blowing the roof off any club.

Swiss-Chilean minimal master Luciano brings the sort of elongated intrigue you would expect of the Cadenza founder. His dubby version builds the pressure with sci-fi pads swirling round the drums while a manic but soft-edged acid line freely evolves and takes you on a trip deep into the dead of night.

Siberian born, Napoli based fast rising star Anfisa Letyago has made her mark on Nervous this year and here offers a no nonsense, pounding acid techno banger with mind melting vocal riffs that loop you into a frenzy. Dutchman Lorenzo Cheng is another one on the rise and his contribution is a heavy hitting weapon with stomping drums and frantic acid blistering its way through the grooves, while last of all is Rotterdam new school talent Najel Monteiro with a fat, dubwise remix that allows the ripping 303 centre stage.

This is another fresh package that precedes later volumes featuring some of the biggest names from dance music past, present and future.

For the second release on the Norwegian Oslo based label Sunlab, Kristian Suvatne delivers a 90s trance inspired ep. The record consists of 5 tracks spanning from downtempo acid in “Skybartribe” to the eps closing track “Forever” running at 162 bpm towards the sun.

Nark, aka Kevin Kauer, has headed up the Bottom Forty imprint since 2017 working with artists such as Doc
Sleep, La Fracheur & Léonard de Léonard, Ali X, Ximena, Alisu and Shit whilst maintaining the philosophy
oflaying down tripped-out, eccentric productions without conformity. Inspired as a young gamer and fueled by
the inspirations of travel and gigs today, Nark has cultivated a set of sounds and ideas that have come
together to form his creations today which include releases on labels such as Nein Records, 2MR and Bottom
Forty in addition to remixes on Soul Clap, Friends with Benefits and Love Story. ‘Do You See Yourself’ sees
Nark invite Mexico’s Thomass Jackson who holds releases on Feines Tier, Gomma and his Calypso Records
imprint in addition to Ali X and Palomo.


Title track ‘Do You See Yourself?’ lays the foundations for the EP delivering entrancing modulations, chuggy
rhythms and eerie vocals taking small stabs at vanity culture, while ‘The Playing Field’ seethes rattling
percussion, acid fueled synths and hypnotic chanting alleviating the senses. The Playing Field’ was inspired by
a long night out listening to Optimo DJ in a dark warehouse and it was made later that morning as something
to fit into a long, building and cathartic set.


On the flip, Thomass Jackson’s remix of ‘Do You See Yourself?’ maintains the stirring style deploying stabbing
bass notes, meandering waves and undulating unearthly atmospheres until Ali X x Palomo round things off
with an infectious remix fusing shaky, 808 drums, effervescent grooves and bright 303 flavours throughout.

In times where objectivity of genre barriers is ceasing to exist, Cueva Records aims at the curatorship and exposure of their open-minded personal taste.

A side of this first chapter presents two forward-thinking house tracks filled with Latin American percussions.

B side sets home for a long, smooth, textured remix. Nothing else to say, just feel the groove...

Dripping Acid is a series of 6 separate 12"s exploring themes of melodic liquid acid. Part 2 of 6 limited releases by the Tin Man!!

Trading Places is what happens when three talented producers from different parts of the globe come together in Throne of Blood’s Brooklyn studio. Long time friends Moscoman (Disco Halal), Max Pask (Throne of Blood/Crodwspacer/DeeWee) and NYC legend Justin Strauss have built upon years of hanging out in New York and Berlin to form a loose, improvisational partnership. Recorded whenever Moscoman found himself in NYC and supplemented by sessions from frequent collaborators Strauss and Pask, Trading Places transforms a handful of days jamming together into one of Throne of Blood’s finest releases. It’s also the label’s first formal collaboration with Disco Halal, a one-off partnership similar to previous releases with Monty Luke’s Black Catalogue and Adam Marshall’s New Kanada.

Opening the EP, the haunting and percussive “Submission” features vocals from The Golden Filter and is backed by a special Moscoman remix.

“Elevated” takes a turn for the cosmic with its feet planted firmly in the club, and the EP closes with the epic slow burner, “Trading Places.

The masters for this EP were long lost. These recordings have been made by Ron Wells using a high end LINN cartridge, restored digitally (clicks, noise, rumble) using Izotope RX by Robin at Music Preservation Society and Remastered by Subvert Central Mastering by Bob Macc.

Mysterious trio Mount Kismet are dropping debut single ‘Teenage Fantasy’ on Oct 11th, and their debut album “Warmer Lanes” on Nov 15th via Disco Halal.
Strung together by the dark, alluring vocals of French-Canadian artist C.A.R., the 1st single, ‘Teenage Fantasy’ combines sparse, synth-driven cold wave with the kind of Middle Eastern electronic elements that have become synonymous with Disco Halal. The track will feature alongisde 9 other tracks on Warmer Lanes.
Based between Berlin and London, Mount Kismet is a project driven by an eastern music obsession and a taste for the heavy pulse of drum machines and the rumbling of analog synthesisers. The group’s only other release, the track ‘Prunes & Dunes’, was included in Perfect Strangers, a ‘various artists’ compilation put out on Disco Halal last year.
An established artist in her own right, C.A.R. has previously collaborated with the likes of Maceo Plex, Red Axes and Bawrut.
Based in Berlin, but firmly rooted in the diverse and forward-facing musical scene of Tel Aviv, Moscoman’s Disco Halal label hails from beneath the minarets of the Holy Land. The imprint exists to present a tight-knit and growing community of musicians and producers, each transmitting their unique musical identity, yet each united by a unique sensibility, as well as a harmonious balance of rhythm and experimentation

Chilean DJ/Producer Demian Muller finally returns to 8bit after a 5 years break. After countless productions with other artists (on Cadenza, Circus Recordings, Dechapter...) this is one of his very few solo releases.

Protofuture’s newest release is a reissue of the 3rd installment of Beppe Loda’s “Acid Jazz” tapes. Acid Jazz is a series of 10 mixtapes recorded by Loda between 1994–96 in Brescia, Italy for the Sound Music Room Club. Only a limited amount was dealt among a small circle of clubbers, from Rimini to Vienna. Protofuture has reissued them with the original cassette covers, the original numeric stamp, and even ink from the time, used by Loda since the 80s -
(Protofuture - PF3T).

Steffi and Virginia return with an eight-track double EP on Ostgut Ton, inviting us into new dimensions of the sonic world they have crafted together over a number of years. Work A Change is out September 20, 2019 on 2x12” vinyl and in digital formats. Since their iconic 2011 collaboration “Yours” – which became an instant classic – the duo have experimented with new ways to express their unique strand of dancefloor melancholy. Unlike the grand maximalism often associated with vocals in dance music, Steffi and Virginia’s creations use the voice less as a centerpiece and more an integral part of the groove itself, subtle in temperament and equal to its counterparts. Impassioned vocals spiral around melodic leads and warm harmonies, offering a gentle kind of catharsis that deepens with each listen. Work A Change immediately transports us to a parallel aural universe, refusing to settle into one style and merging multiple references into peculiar new formats. Opening track “Be True To Me” is subdued but inviting, working its way into the conscious with harmonic glitches and a deep, grooving bass lead. “Sight From Above” then slows things down for an angular cut of low-slung machine funk. The B-side, “Help Me Understand” lands us on another planet entirely, complete with extraterrestrial synths and animated robotics. Opening up the C-side, “Until You’re Begging” is a molecular construction of fragmented motifs, both precise and hazy at the same time. Similarly, “Internal Bleeding” takes segments of percussive grooves and rearranges them into complex polyrhythms whilst retaining a careful sense of balance. Closing off the release is title track “Work A Change”; one last high-speed voyage into spiralling drums and hammerdrill bass. Work A Change expands on Steffi and Virginia’s aesthetic, merging elements from a number of genres into a cerebral, highly personal release. It also signals a change of direction for the duo's work, voyaging through new terrain while retaining a sound that is undoubtedly their own.

Acid Pauli is back with another three-track EP on the label he co-manages with friend and collaborator Nico Stojan. This EP, self-effacingly titled 'Had to get rid of some Shit', showcases Martin Gretschmann’s dancefloor prowess yet again. 'Dancing In The Trunk' is a hyped-up loopy banger - minimal in instrumentation but fully psychedelic in execution. 'Goran Utan' has a deeper, darker edge, with a tension that will tighten the grip on many dancefloors. 'Shakmat, but happy' appears in 'Pauli's Psychedelic Breakfast Take 9' and is a slow-building, loop-based groover, eventually opening up to reveal tinges of acid.

Modern forward thinking house music by Panthera Krause on his new EP for Uncanny Valley. The successor to his highly acclaimed Umami EP is not only rich in giving the dancers material to freak out on the floor. Beyond that, All My Circuits Part I is a perfect showcase for the Leipzig based producer's wealth of variety. Heppy is a piano driven anthem that will surely capture many hearts thanks to an irresistible dynamic. There's some Acid in the veins of Stomping Ground, a track that you should show your rocker friends when they doubt that there is energy in House music. Unraveled Dreaming is as demanding with strong sample use as it is beautiful with a build-up for eternity in the second half. Finally, Le Phoque is quite a playful affair with its whirring sounds and driving percussion work. Tip!

For the second release we squeeze the lemon with Mamosato, an Italian trio composed by Paolo Macri, Cristian Sarde and Emanuele Montalto, and characterized by a sound born from house and evolves to his different shades.

Apparel Tronic comes back after the heat of summer introducing the first V/A on the catalogue as well as its 10th release overall (Varioustronic 1). This 3 tracks V/A is an ambitious project that unites 3 great artists with diverse approaches to music production, 3 different minds and visions, 3 declination of the same verb brought together under the same roof, our roof. We always like to experiment, to try and push our boundaries over again in everything we do and surely this is an organic evolution to the so-called "Bliss-Beat": the identificative concept behind our ideas. The 3 producers we chose, Anton Kubikov, Artizhan & Tommy Vicari Jr. need no introduction so we're simply grateful to them for their availability to huddle up and create some great music for one cause and it's surprising how the three tracks, colliding, offer different but likeminded perspectives, like fragmenting planets creating new ones. This release is the result of 2 years of research, ending up choosing Anton's "Freak Out Little Bit", Artizhan's "Birthday" and Tommy's "Conceal" amongst many others.
