DJ W!ld is pleased to announce a second instalment of remixes from his well received album When You Feel Me. After Jus Ed and Chris Carrier appeared on the first EP, now comes Classic aligned producer Miss Honey Dijon, Peacefrog regular Dan Curtain and the one and only Detroit talent that is Andrés, who serve up one remix each, with an original by DJ W!ld also being included.

That original is 'Love Every Day' and is another fine missive from the studio of French house king DJ W!ld. It is a fat, deep, rolling cut with pinging toms and kick drums, cool vocal samples and a laid-back jazzy vibe that will really bring people to the 'floor.

This same cut then gets remixed by Andrés, who used to DJ with Slum Village, runs his own label La Vida and is a regular producer alongside Moodymann aka Kenny Dixon Junior on his label KDJ. His remix here is a jazzy, hip hop influenced affair with raw hand claps, jazzy piano motifs and loveably louche and dusty groove.

The next remix comes from Chicago's Miss Honey Dijon, who regularly plays places like Panorama Bar and has remixed and produced for her good friend Derrick Carter's Classic label before now. Her version of 'Get Busy' is a slick, up tempo and acid riddled affair that will drive people wild on the dance floor. It is urgent and supple, seductive and has a beautiful breakdown that makes for a fine moment's pause before the acid and drums kick in earnest once more.

Finally, Holic Trax and Bass Culture man Dan Curtain has been doing his do since the 1990s and has contributed greatly to the development of techno in that time. His remix is a full on techno forcefield with manic melodies and thumping drums charging along, hypnotising you as they go.
Buy this EP digitally and you will be treated to two extra tracks, namely two great remixes of 'Come To Me' by huge Defected act Flashmob and left of centre tech house pair Italoboyz, who both turn out infectious grooves to round out this special release.

Nacho Marco's 'Warm Trax Vol. 1' was an Ovum highlight in 2015 and a much welcomed return to the label for the Spanish producer. Vol. 1 with its rich analogue textures and acidic flair, picked up a wealth of support. Today Nacho returns with Vol. 2 and a new trio of Trax for our trip. One of the most acclaimed DJ's and producers from Spain, Nacho Marco's rich musical history is evident in all of his productions. As comfortable creating a peak time acid number as he is rolling the depths of house, Nacho is clearly influenced by the early sounds of Chicago and acid house and always delivers a modern twist on what is a timeless sound. It's one thing to take influence from the past, but its quite another to ensure that you keep on pushing forward. Hypnotic and sparse, Afterlife opens the Ep with its bubbling acid line and stripped, raw beats that bring you back to the Warehouse. Let's Play continues with the acid theme as it ripples away under a drowsy bassline, broken by tight snare and shining hats that build to peak time bliss. Finally we're treated to the smooth balearic vibes of Tell Me Something, with its hooky piano riff and smooth synth chords. Sunset/rise anyone - Nacho Marco continues his Warm Trax series on Ovum showing his diverse production talents. This is his third EP on the label and his tracks have seen the support from such luminaries as Laurent Garnier, D'julz, Danny Daze, Soul Clap, Marc Romboy, Joris Voorn, Skream and more. - These tracks have been road tested by Josh Wink with huge reactions.

Part 2 in the Correlation series by SDC. Jack Hamill returns as SDC for the second part of the Correlation Series on Clone Royal Oak. No frills, spacey house music as only Space Dimension Controller does it.

A self-proclaimed lover of irreverent and profane music, rising Spanish producer Carreno is LB takes the helm on the 33rd offering from Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant label, with a remix from returning artist Andre Bratten.

Since supplying the label with the Anxiety and Neurosis EP in 2013, Carreno is LB has collected production credits in partnership with fellow Madrid-based label affiliate Javi Redondo, and as a remixer for outlets such as My Favorite Robot. (This December also heralds the release of a collaborative album with NYMA, due to drop via German imprint Items & Things.) Arriving in both 12" vinyl and digital formats on January 19, the Disharmony EP finds him channeling a vampyric sensibility, pairing dark though dancefloor-ready originals with more conceptual, angular interludes.

Carreno is LB opens the seven-track affair with "Step 0," a brief prelude steeped in eerie atmospheres. "Step 1" and "Step 2" elevate tempos with jacking rhythms and metallic, planar shifts, while the industrial, atonal sound design and broken, percussive techno of "Step 3" dismantles itself. "Step 4" warms up like a b-grade horror film but turns into the housiest track on offer, with a cheeky Italo-influenced bassline and taut, drum machine rhythms, offset by sliding, pitch-bent organ chords.

Norwegian producer and Full Pupp affiliate Andre Bratten returns to Correspondant following an outing on the label's second V/A compilation; his "Trommer Og Bass" swiftly became an anthem of summer 2014, played out by Agoria, DJ Harvey, and Laurent Garnier, and also featured on Errol Alkan's recent Fabric mix. While the original version of "Step 5" stands as more sketch or shadow, cutting out at a crucial moment, Bratten's "Half Life 2 Gravity Tool" remix yields an emphatic, dancefloor-ready adaptation.

Slow trippy acid by Tight Pants. "Action increase the screaming this crazy guy with tight pants is another EP. Because he fights evil with his synth-sword of Samurai reincarnation has some say. Limited to 150 - be fast to secure your copy! - no repress. Lower Parts is a Greek label involved in music, fashion, art and multimedia projects and it has been since 2013. After starting by showcasing lots of local talent, next up on the label is international talent Andreas Gehm aka Elec Pt1, who gets remixed by Damcase and Anoplois. German Andreas is an acid and techno innovator who has released on Mathematics and Chiwax and here comes correct with two great new cuts.

First up, Universe is a busy, mind altering track with cold, serene chords front and centre and manic synths gurgling about in the background. Funky and weird, abstract but colourful, it's a truly fresh track that will make for plenty of WTF moments on the 'floor. 'I Don't Care' is a more traditional deep acid cut, but still the textures and hooks are odd and occult, standing the track apart from the crowd. The acid is increasingly energetic throughout and manages to sound both clean and crisp and dirty and naughty at the same time.

Remixing 'Universe', Anopolis are a collective of four Thessaloniki based producers who recently released a well received debut album. Their version of the track is all reflective surfaces and sprightly drums with plenty of groove electro overtones tied up within. Live specialist and hardware man Damcase is a greek guy currently living and working as a sound engineer at Roodkapje Rotterdam. His remix of 'I Don't Care' is deep and bubbly, littered with sci-fi signifiers and grows increasingly untuned throughout.

This is an inventive package from the Greek label that suggest they are well worth keeping an eye on.

Contra Communem Opinionem shortly CCO, own name Florin Büchel is the pure acid lover from Zürich. He has debuted on Mathematics records in 2008 and since then he has been quite active with several releases on Lux Records and few other brands. There is a strong analogue character in his music based on 808 or 707 beats seasoned with melancholic pads, melodies and already mentioned acid lines. He is also involved in Savage Ground project formed by him and Daniel Cosmo. This is 'Space Race' from melodic electro through overdrive madness to drone beats. It comes with remix from man behind Endless Illusion, Layup.

Delft is delivering more sick acid tunes! This time its Delft's chief LA-4A on duty and giving us some advanced modern acid jackers. Aion, or Aeon, in the tradition of Greek cosmology, was the personification of Time, with the more famous Kronos, corresponding to Saturn Latin. Revered as "Lord of Light", Aeon (AION) represented eternity, infinite time, as well as the succession of eras. Just time talking this new vinyl published by JAM TAXX: somehow it shows how the same song, born in a given context in time and space (a marginal Italy of the late 70s sets in a still immature europe) can be re-interpreted 30 years later with a new spirit, remaining in part what it was originally, but also becoming another completely new thing (that didn't exist before) ... The statue of the boxer from the Roman stadium of the marbles, pictured on the cover, is juat Aion represented as an athlete who fights between light and shadow, past and future, divided in half just like in the inner label of this precious vinyl, in sharp contrasts and games of symmetries used in the graphics of this speial edition (white vinyl) ... Heraclitus wrote: "the time (Aeon) of human life is a child who plays his games moving his toys: to a child belongs the sovereign power" What is a remix if not a game where you move elements to create something new And of course to a child belongs the sovereign power, the demiurgic ability to redefine reality starting from what has been already done. And that child is us.

Soundtravels Recordings proudly presents "Point Of View Part 1". We have compiled six contemporary, electronic bombs from artists all around Europe.

For some we didn't have to travel that far though...

The Hagues Baz Reznik provided us with "Nightdrive To Stuttgart", a moody, sinister track with that typical raw Reznik sound and a melody that will stick in your head for days after you first heard it.

Amsterdam based Arctic Boogie boss Endfest came up with another killer, "Von Heijden En Verre". Almost ten minutes filled with frosty synths and arctic melodies, accompanied by an ever present, very sophisticated 303 which peaks halfway the track, shivers!

Our last, but not least, Dutch contributor is Rotterdam based Louis Guilliaume who you might know from several straight forward techno releases on various quality underground labels. "Promiscues" is a rough edged, energetic track which fits somewhere between Detroit techno and Dutch Westcoast elektronica. At the end of 2013 he will release the "Unknown Forces EP" on Soundtravels.

Okay, now we fly all the way over to Croatia for Le Chocolate Noir with "Futu.e Is B.ight". A short but powerful EBM track with vocals from the man himself. Dark industrial mechanics accompanied by a threathening bassline, but no need to worry... cause Futu.e is B.ight! In 2014 he will release his first EP on Soundtravels.

Next stop... Düsseldorf. After discovering Dircsen's tracks we definitely had to have him on board. The first result of that can be heard on his astonishing "Aspiration EP" (Soundtravels 003). This guy keeps on producing his solid, high quality electronics and shows us his love for the TB 303 machine in a brilliant way. "Exist" is actually a downtempo dubtechno track but off course it has a fierce 303 all over it. Timeless again. Early 2014 his second EP named "Acid Wheel EP" will be a fact.

New to our family is the Russian Neotnas. He makes his first appearance with "Rewind". Typical for his sound is that warm, organic feel all over his house and dubtechno productions. Very often accompanied by female vocals and it's almost like you hear somebody play a live instrument if you listen carefully. At the end of 2013 he will release his "Slow & Steady EP".

Hot on the heels of their recent twelve from Tilman and Florist, Charmin Records are very excited to be motoring onto their third release with this excellent VA bringing in material from new friends of the label. The East German imprint expand their sound to take in rougher techno, acid, and also more hypnotic and spacious territory. The artists on the roster are label founder Florist, Stanley Schmidt, Matt Thibideau and Billy Dalessandro and the result is a diverse excursion that stays true to the core ethos of the label.

Ovum's 20th birthday celebrations continue with Vince Watson Déjà vu"! How do you end an amazing 20th Anniversary Celebration We think we've figured out our final flourish by bringing you the last of our 20th Anniversary year from the amazing Vince Watson. This is also our 250th release and a package that not only includes a remix from label boss Josh Wink, but features two bonus digital tracks that see Vince delving into his ambient side. A true celebration... We bring you Déjà vu". Vince Watson is one of the house-techno crossover pioneer's and helped facilitate the tech-house genre's appeal to the masses. A long musical history saw him release his debut album Biologue' at the end of the Millenium on Alola. The album was a big success and included the now classic track Mystical Rhythm". His work had a huge impact on the global electronic scene for setting a personal hypnotic perspective of groovy, melody and atmospheric sounds, a unique signature sound. He would continue his relationship with Alola, but also record for such acclaimed labels as Delsin, Planet E, and F...U F CCOM. He went on to establish his own labels Bio and Everysoul. 2014 saw Vince step out and explore new and old relationships in regards to his releases. He rekindled his relationship with Plant E and released on Poker Flat, Bedrock and Cocoon. We are excited to say that now Vince is gracing Ovum on what will be our 250th release and the final culmination of what has been an incredible 20th Anniversary Celebration. Deja Vu' is an incredible slice of deep and emotional techno. Prepare to be taken on a bubbly ride with many twists and turns and an all-enveloping groove. The deepness is there, but this track still packs a serious punch. Illusion' is a wonderful combination of beauty and musicality with an inspiring drive.

Trulz & Robin aka Trulz Kvam & Robin Crafoord do slowburning, airy but distinct fascinating house music, warm, bright, focussed but playful, reduced, but open to surprise. Signed with atmospheric grooves, a stomping kick, subtle klick and lurching bassline. A long anticipated collection of long sold out 45s on the tiny North London minimal synth imprint, Polytechnic Youth. The label began it's life in 2014 when an old friend went to Germany and bought a cutting lathe, enabling us to release hand cut 45s in micro editions of varying quantities. From there, a dizzying array of collectors' dream releases flowed, clear 5' singles, 8' singles, 45s that played from the inside label out and releases that came with personalized 'glow in the dark' centre adapters, to name a few. All sought after now. NORD Records is welcoming DJ Guy on the label for their ninth record. The release is a double 12 inch with tracks produced in 1993-1997. DJ Guy was able to find and restore these tapes which results in a vinyl release from NORD.

Juan Ramos lives on planet Earth but channels voices from the aether. This is his first offering for the ESP Institute. On side A, Last Of The Natives shows us just what we're dealing with, a master manipulator of sound and consciousness. Juan culls the toughest kick drums and thickest latex bass slaps from a deep burial in our psyche and peppers them with alien chants and fleeting electronic flutes—a combustible sense of spontaneity that may at first appear chaotic but after fully immersed in Juan's demented world, we find ourselves willfully under his control. On side B, Enemy Of Enemy Is Friend also sets off from a disorienting place where a slow progression of acid, shakers and toms takes a good minute to allow us some footing around the groove. Once settled into his sophisticated rhythm, Juan opens the door to a glorious combination of chords, clanking guitars, shakers that scrub back and forth and the occasional smear of paranormal synth. We at the ESP Institute are enamored by Juan's seemingly infinite skill for crafting mood and extracting optimism from darkness, but seriously, what color SpeedoTM should she wear this summer

Swedish Acid mainstay Dungeon Acid comes correct with an EP of modulated madness for Klasse Wrecks. Acid rain drops and corroded nodes battle it out over two signature tracks, the EP also comes backed up with a jacked up remix from label owners Mr. Ho and Luca Lozano. Don't sleep!

Having recently played an eight hour set to a sold-out crowd at London's Oval Space, the prolific Dusky drop a trio of moody club tool tracks on 17 Steps as they continue their European Autumn/Winter tour.
A club tool in the most effective sense, lead track 'Lydia' is dark, nagging acid groover that builds and builds throughout its 6 hypnotic minutes. With all the melodic material based around the Lydian scale, 'Lydia' was originally inspired by a bizarre, trippy dream Alfie had in which everything was all based on the Lydian scale.
A homage to classic techno, 'Bitter Lake' is a hard-hitting surge of looping, percussive energy and Detroit-nodding rave stabs that build to a hoover-fuelled breakdown release.
Rounding off the trio, the brilliantly titled and uniquely composed 'Infinite Libido' again explores Dusky's more percussive tendencies and has been a regular feature in their DJ sets for the past year.

Four excellent tracks from way back. Originally pressed in 1999 we rediscovered some original stock from the archives of Super 8 which brings us a blueprint of pumping, stripped down and dubbed out Minimal House and thrilling Electro Phonk with these four tracks, crafted in the studio of electronic music veteran Khan. British producer Reformed Society is on a steadfast mission to dig deeper by going against the grain, standing up to the status quo and daring to do something different. A self proclaimed goal that is easily noticeable in his first release for made of CONCRETE', wherein he reveals three original tracks and a remix by Gathaspar, one of the label's regulars.

Kicking things off with High Tension', a high strung stripped back piece with an aerial feel, the artist builds up the entire mood of the EP from scratch. A clear-cut, steady groove whose versatility makes it relevant as an intro, outro or interlude.

Gathaspar's Rausch Remix is a sub-bassy reinterpretation of the initial piece, filled with contorted whirs and whizzes that give the track a sub-aquatic feel.

On Volgende Halte', the opening vocal sample shifts from a seemingly conventional soundbite to a recurringly haunting snippet that remains etched into the listener's brain. Rhythmical rolling pads galvanize the groove, making for an eerie yet relaxed overall vibe.

"Work It!" from 1994, courtesy of the mighty Parris Mitchell & RJ Hall is slamming, an update of Steve Poindexter's classic "Work That M*therfucker" but done Dance Mania style! Heavyweight stuff. Pair this with "It's Alright" on the flip, which takes a deeper turn and you've got am essential 12" dug deep from within the vaults. This one is rare too! Now it's here again, remastered and reissued with the full consent of Mr.Mitchell too, what's messing with that Essential Chicago business!

Mugwump's Subfield label introduces its first signings with the Belgian-Italo duo Front De Cadeaux (brilliantly named after the Belgian EBM pioneer group FRONT 242).
Front De Cadeaux are DJ Athome & DJ Hugosan.
Hugo runs the Roccodisco label with Italian disco mastermind Rodion (Gomma/Nein) while Belgian killer DJ Athome has been spinning Italo wave & House in Brussels since the 90's. They expertly produced their own brand of "Supreme Rallentato", which is a fucked-up slo-mo italo, acid, disco, techno and house hybrid that so rightly fits with Subfield's mission statement of covering subgenres.
Their 2 first outings on Roccodisco have been remixed by Fabrizio Mammarella and Optimo's JD Twitch, and a staple in Ivan Smagghe's sets. This full Ep on Subfield features 2 original F2C obscene & dirty slo-mo tracks at their most playful, "Ouvre Ta Bouche" and "Front De Cadeaux Theme" plus the magnificent dub-house of "Killers".
Remixes comes courtesy of Factory Floor's Gabe Gurnsey (DFA) in a quite brutal bleep-techno mood and Manchester's nu-balearic kingpin Ruf Dug (Music For Dreams), getting into what he described as a " 808 snare roll warehouse analog fucked-up version".

From his excellent Fabric mix to a pretty untouchable remixography that has seen him take on tracks by artists as diverse as Bat for Lashes, Mystery Jets and ZZT, Duke Dumont is the sort of artist embraced by people who know their shit. People like us. Pathfinders. Truthtellers. Heroes.

Two deep minimal acid tweakers with guest vocals by Santana from the French group Claap! It's rare to hear an acid track with vocals these days. There's also a Claap! remix thrown on for good measure, and they take the song in a totally different direction.

'We Start Over' arrived on the desks at International Feel and it felt perfect for us. Deep electronics, a lovely mood, forward thinking and a gorgeous vocal from Trudie Dawn Smith. Lots to play with from a remix perspective and a great original track in itself. Steve Cobby is a British producer, musician, composer, and DJ, based in Kingston-upon-Hull, Yorkshire. He co-founded Fila Brazillia in 1990 and released 10 critically acclaimed LP's and produced over 70 remixes for artists as diverse as Radiohead, Busta Rhymes, Black Uhuru and A Certain Ratio. Cobby now releases music via his own label Déclassé label. His latest and third solo LP 'Saudade' was released in March 2014 and received considerable critical acclaim.

The first 12" consists of the original version and on the flip a remix by Apiento & Lx (their first track together since the underground classic 'The Orange Place' ). The remix is slow trance in its purest sense, made for lasers and dark nightclubs. It's already receiving club play and has been named by Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston's ALFOS as "one of the records of the summer". High praise.

On the second 12" the reins have been handed to Gerd Janson & Phillip Lauer a.k.a Tuff City Kids - two people making some of the finest house at their at the moment with Janson also getting massively known globally for his DJing. Their remixes are made for the clubs. The 'Garage Dub' is classic New York house that is as deep as you like and one of those hooky ones that does everything perfectly. The other, 'Private Acid Mix ' goes heavy on the beats and drops the 303 in a fine style with the vocal looped and twisted.

As you would expect from International Feel this is classy and classic club music covered from all angles from a balearic original, a deep chug remix from Apiento & Lx and the Tuff City Kids bringing the house vibe. Deep deep deep.

Poker Flat roar back into action with a remix package for Foremost Poets' classic club track, 'Reasons to be Dismal.' Originally out in 1998, 'Reasons to be Dismal' gets three slamming new takes courtesy of some of the biggest names in the underground.
First up is Dixon, one of the most respected DJs and label owners on the planet. The Berliner serves up another signature slice of pared down, driving house music that maintains the classic vibe of the Poets original.
The ExtendedSight version makes a welcome return to vinyl having been available on the original NuGroove release - a classic piece of dubbed out leftfield house, full of unhinged synths and cut up textures and scratches - sure to get the heads racing to the booth for a track ID.
Poker Flat head Steve Bug, who worked with Foremost Poets on this highly regarded Noir album, also offers a version, a tribute to the original track with replayed strings, updated drum sounds and a slightly different arrangement that brings in his favorite part a second time resulting in a more mix friendly ending. Last but not least is MotorCitySoul's remix - who choose to bring out the more Balearic, melodic elements of the track - a perfect sunrise record if ever there was one.

He toured Asia with Juan Atkins and once had to chase a grown man through the streets at night, who had crawled into his living room through a open window. An active member in Detroit's early rave scene, Sharif remembers booking all foreign gigs with a Fax Machine - and would still do it that way, if anybody else had them anymore. FunkinEven—also known as Steven Julien— has made just that with his debut album Fallen.

Split into two contrasting chapters, Fallen follows the trail of our main character. The first six songs introduce us to utopia, a collection which is matched by the light and airy tones of this initial set. The twist comes right down the middle, where we descend into the project's darker, hellish bogs. Both episodes intertwine seamlessly, and all composed, written and produced by Steven himself.

Julien plays the majority of the instruments you hear on the record, using session musicians — including three appearances from Hercules on bass — sparingly to plug any gaps. All the above choices combine to emit a contagious warmth that blankets the whole record. Within the dozen tracks, he jumps between everything from jazz fusion to techno. It's easily his best work to date.

Steven Julien first surfaced in 2009 with a refreshing sound unlike many of his contemporaries. While his peers flirted with R&B, abstract grime and whatever else, Julien forged his own path, one which partnered an organic, analogue sensibility with the sounds of electro, '80s funk, and acid. Initially affiliated with the Eglo camp, he eventually formed his own label, Apron Records, which has become a reliable outlet in its own right, not only for his own workings, but also as a home base for talents like Seven Davis Jr and Greg Beato. He's also proven to be an avid collaborator over the years, having worked with Fatima, Delroy Edwards, and, most notably, Kyle Hall, with whom he creates the unapologetically raw sounds of FunkinEvil.

The first release of the new Deeptrax label from The Netherlands is by Aleks. A mystic four tracker with deep and gritty grooves moving in between the realms of house and techno featuring deep slamming tracks from beyond the galaxy with hints from the past.........A real atmospheric and spacious journey into the analogue world of electronic music. The late, great Frankie Knuckles dominates the A-side with two of his biggest and most loved club tracks, "Baby Wants To Ride" and "Bad Boy", both featuring the inimitable vocals of Jamie Principle and Frankie's trademark production skills. Over on the B-side we have Pierre's Fantasy Club's storming Acid / vocal cut "Got The Bug" and Pleasure Zone's sinister, jacking "Fantasy".

Kicking off this four track EP is one of Yuri's most dynamic productions to date. Wildly oscillating synths and snapping handclap-led house beats drive 'East West Connection', while what starts out as an acid synth shifts through a cycle of changes before evolving into a Detroit-style riff.

Both 'Nervous Arp' and 'Morning at Home' take the same palette of sounds into much deeper territory, touching base with electro funk and straight up jazz-fusion, highlighting Yuri's versatile musicality and distinctive production style.

'Modular' is an older track of Yuri's - a non-stop ride through wonky, synthesized fusion with hypnotic keys and rolling drums.

Brassica returns with a brand new 12' single for Civil Music that includes new track'Get Down' and a remix of 'Tears I Can Afford' from Belfast duo Bicep.

'Get Down' arrives simultaneously with 'Nature Isn't Mute', a deluxe extend- ed edition of 'Man Is Deaf', the producers debut album praised by Dazed & Confused and De:Bug and nominated for Album of the Year at the DJ Mag awards. 'Nature Isn't Mute' completes the Terence McKenna quote the album was named after and contains 7 additional tracks.

On 'Get Down' Michael Wright shows he hasn't lost any of that Brassica mag- ic with a heady 6 minute workout. As the track sprawls and unfurls, various elements come in and out of play——hinting at the foundations of the Brassica sound——with Wright guiding the listener along for a joyous ride. The single is backed by a remix of album track 'Tears I Can Afford' courtesy of Belfast duo Bicep who embrace the occasion fully by extending the original to 8 min- utes and playing with its acid elements in ne fashion.

Adonis' comically named "Endless Pokers" project is no joke, in fact, this is some serious Chicago ACID House!

Originally released in 1987 and featuring Adonis' trademark staccato drum machine rhythms, creeping acid lines and cowbells "The Poke" is a classic (Watch out for those vocal stabs too!).

All 3 mixes featured on this 12" bring something new to the table, twisting and turning that acid line into a frenzied buzz. This is pure old school business, Chicago style! Raw, simple box jams of the highest order! A definite essential, a record like this in the right hands can produce some devastating effects and still sounds incredibly fresh today.

When your debut set on Pete Tong's Essential Mix starts with Masters At Work remixing Saint Etienne and ends with Kraftwerk, the tunes in the middle better hold their own. That was the challenge Mobilee head Anja Schneider set for herself on her recent addition to the legendary BBC radio program, and she delivered with the help of a debut from Maya Jane Coles, a classics from Underground Resistance, and an airing of her own latest, Jimmy,' which, with it's propelling conga loop and haunting organ climax, made for one of the most memorable moments of the two hour session. This success will be no surprise to anyone familiar with Schneider's history as a producer, club DJ and respected radio host, with her own Dance Under The Blue Moon program filling the Berlin airwaves since 200. And while she has been teasing us with Jimmy' since July (when it surfaced on her mix for John Digweed's Transitions podcast), the time as finally come for it appear in it's complete form, released on vinyl and digital as Mobilee141, with the moody acid house of Lovetube Thinking' on the flip. A solid one-two punch of a release that DJs can now use to open and close their own essential sessions.

Previously half of pseudo-kitsch acid-electro force Light Year, and now gone solo, Mikey Melas aka Jensen Interceptor joins the binary cataloguing CPU with a perfectly formed electro cut.

Any artist who samples Ghost in the Shell, arguably one of the greatest anime films of all time, are all right by us. Mikey does so to great effect on the big beat / trip hop tempo 'Model 2029', which sits alongside three unrelenting electro bass bin destroyers.

Mactavis being the toughest cut, utilising a fierce driving 808 with a robotic bassline interjecting throughout. Electro is often overlooked for the club but it's obvious this E.P. was designed from the ground up to smash a big room.

Lehult is back on the roll after living the rockstar life that naturally follows a sold out debut release. But just like with sex and marriage, it's the second time that you really have to make count: after some overwhelming feedback for Lucky Charmz' 'Follow Me To Flottbek Falls' EP, Lehult returns with a follow-up that adds some spin to the curveball. The 'Let's Get Playa' EP introduces three core members of the Lehult crew: Liem (pictured on the cover, Gin&Tonic in hand), Eddie Ness and Johan Kaseta all take their shots in mixed couplets, delivering some machine driven, sunlit house with a refreshing, ice cold splash. 'Bassforce XXL' sets up the A-sides' sunrise beach vibe with an uplifting chord progression and a fruity, dynamic bassline - the kind that makes a musician bounce around his studio grinning sheepishly, transporting that same effect to the dance floor. Then, A2 'M-Trax", while revolving around the same sunlit feeling, plunges deeper with swirling birdsong melodies and raw, thumpin' drums'n'congas. Almost a rhythm track, its' simple yet challenging structure - emotive chords, a yearning for the held off bassline - creates an absorbed moment on the dancefloor. The title track 'Let's Get Playa' on the B-side sees Eddie team up with Johan Kaseta-who has already silently put out a limited cassette beat tape on Lehult and has become infamous for his wild one-deck DJ-Sets. 'Playa' is a seductive cut of low-slung breezy house that doesn't fail to surprise - before sending you driving into the sunset on your quad with the EP's extra-long, wavey outro.
