Although Relish Compilation 3 marks the third compiled label round up for Headman's Relish Recordings, it is a compilation only in form; it has been constructed out of new tracks very much in the guise of an album. In label terms it highlights the new artists that have been unearthed this year - JR Seaton, Andreas Esu, Hannalelauri, Daniel Avery, International, Montevideo - and presents them alongside new tracks from Headman.

A chance meeting one dark lonely night by the side of the information superhighway and a shared love of forgotten UK post punk 7'' singles has brought two dark lords together to take the darkroom to another level.
'Music For The Lost And Dead' marks a collaboration between Sheffield producer/vocalist Bozzwell and Montreal-based overlords Vosper.

Collectively both camps bring together their love of songwriting, production, techno and everything electric, amalgamating these elements into a sound that is both unique and powerful. Drawing on influences such as Bauhaus, The Sisters Of Mercy, Bowie, New Order, Joy Division, Basic Channel and all things for the dancefloor the hivemind has come up with something different, leftfield and decidedly of the moment.

Vosper have carved themselves out a rightly earned spot on the techno map after the release of their super smash single' Release' on Paris label Meant, and have seen their carefully crafted darkwave sound find its way in A-list record box all over the globe whilst setting the cooler dancefloors alight with their own. Bozzwell on the other hand has been dipping in and out of both the mainstream and the underground with his releases as Hiem which first appeared on the radar with their global smash 'She's The One' on Crosstown Rebels and also his recent solo success as Bozzwell on imprints such as Firm records and Clouded Vision.

Remixes come courtesy of UK duo Eskimo Twins, who twist 'Music For The Lost and Dead' into an acidic floor smasher, house upstart Jonny Cruz, Clouded Vison honcho Matt Walsh, and Australia's The Finger Prince.

'i started to record the track "can't remember" when i was in africa and some riots happened in egypt in 2013. it was a weird time so it turned out to be a dark tune with robotic vocals. i recorded the vocals for the track "talking to you" when i was on tour with andy butler in the hotel room on my macbook air. basically it's him saying "this beat is talking to you" and i recorded some burp sounds on the flight and train home. i invited him to my home studio to change the demo vocals, but he felt asleep on the chair next to me. so, i thought maybe i should just the use the demo macbook vocals.' -Wolfram

Burek, Croatia's leading independent electronic label, brings you its sixth release, a superb 3 track EP entitled 'Serenity in a Forbidden Place', by South African born Glaswegian Esa. Drummer, producer and DJ, Esa Williams aka Mervin Granger has been a resident at Glasgow's Sub Club for over half a decade. As well as releasing as Mervin Granger and Esa he runs his own label, Rememory, and also partners Brian D'Souza in the live presentation of Auntie Flo, one of the nominees for 'Scottish Album of the Year 2013. Esa's 12 on Burek spans the emotions upon returning to his native South Africa and the trials of becoming acquainted with his new home of Glasgow. Alongside Esa's original cuts we also have a superb remix from Edinburgh's Firecracker/Rush Hour alumni, Fudge Fingas. The remix encapsulates both of the original tracks and adds FF's own distinctive slant to them to finish an EP that we are most proud to present.

With the strains of Re-UP's "Freedom" still ringing loud in our ears, Dissonant prepare to
unleash their first slice of summer goodness, a new two track selection from Leix.
The Valencia born, Barcelona resident has been exciting dancefloors of his home nation for
the past fifteen years, regularly sharing the decks with the worlds leading spinners. With a
preoccupation with fusing styles and sounds, a trait that is obvious in his own productions,
Leix ensures that his own work remains consistently fresh. The Novo Music boss' own
productions have already found the support of many of the biggest names in the industry and
have seen their release on labels including Fumakilla, Monza, Barraca Music, Inmotion
Music, Melisma and more.
His Akane EP is Leix's first excursion on Dissonant and what a way to kick things off. Lead
cut "Akane" is as perfect a fit as they come. A locked tight groove, devilish kick and a
bubbling acid line that tricks us throughout with its undeviating trajectory. On the Flip
"Dumnezeu" continues in similar fashion. An understated bassline pulses throughout, as a

Brooks Mosher, drops the 'Get Ready' EP via London's, Release Sustain imprint this October, backed with a remix from New York's very own, Fred P. Brooks Mosher is a resident of pioneering Techno city, Detroit, and is notably known for his work with imprints like Steffi's, Dolly, and Belgian label, Other Heights.

Here Brooks joins the Release Sustain roster, delivering four tracks instilled with his infectious analogue style, slotting in alongside tracks by Brendon Moeller, Alland Byallo, and Himan.

The release kicks off with the original mix of 'Get Ready', Mosher opts for raw, weighty drums and a hooky saw-wave bass-line as the driving force, while swirling white noise, sequenced vocal snippets and resonant synth stabs brilliantly meander around them, creating an intricate, understated Techno cut to open the single.

Up next is Fred P's Reshape of 'Get Ready', as expected from a producer like P, the mix embodies warmth and soul, with Fred dubbing out the vibe and putting an ethereal spin on the synthesized elements, pure class, and it adds a further appeal to an already exciting 12.

On the flip side, Mosher turns in 'Encroachment', in similar vein to his Dolly material, the track takes an excursion into the world of acid house, with evolving 303 lines and punchy 808 drums running for the tracks five and a half minutes, while subtle nuances in the programming creating a blossoming dynamism throughout.

Closing the single is 'Memory Flash' a perfect way to wind down this stellar EP, as Brooks goes deep, bringing dubby synth stabs and an arp-style chord to the forefront, while bumpy drums roll around in the background adding depth and character to the movement of the record.

The second of the Decadub vinyl-only releases dedicates three of its four sides to a volley of woozy and twisted footwork from most of the key members of Chicago's Teklife crew. Side One starts with DJ Rashad and Gant Man's squiggly 303 banger 'Acid Life' and moves onto Taso & Djunya's Darwinian banger 'Only The Strong Will Survive'. Side Two descends into DJ Spinn's bombastic 'All My Teklife' and then Earl, Rashad & Taye's 'Bombaklot' which takes Hyperdub full circle with a yardcore bomb like a 2014 upgrade of the label's early days. Side Three leads with DJ Earl's immaculate diva vocal cut-up of 'I'm Gonna Get You', then moves on into DJ Taye's fizzling R&B jam 'Get Em Up' and the stone cold, warped humour of 'Icemaster' by Heavee. On the fourth and final side, Tokyo-based ally Quarta330 returns to craft 'Hanabi', an epic, uptempo synthesiser jam. Young gun Champion follows with 'Power Cut', its minimal, energetic and militant kicks and bass molded with cowbell and lots of tight edits, before dropping some neat keys and a warping bassline two thirds in. Ikonika finishes things off with the solemn march of 'Tug Zone', opening slow but building in flickering high hats and gaseous cymbals into a track which could have emanated from Battlestar Galactica.

The north-west UK based artist provides 3 tracks of smoky, hardware-based Techno infused with narcosis throughout.

A1/Change Request - rides a glistening, arpeggiated crescendo of luminescent goodness. All eyes-wide-shut dancing under industrial backdrops.

A2/Fantastic Flake - could well be what happens after smoking one of Ron Hardy's sherm sticks at Islington Mill. Muzik Box-inspired repetition and a concentric acid bassline mean this baby is crying out for a 2-copy, extended workout and destined to send dancers spiralling out of control into the speaker stacks.

Track 3 occupies the whole of the B-side-Where Did You Go - a cavernous 303 workout which lends itself to ADHD-levels of smoke 'n' strobe abuse. Journeying deeper and deeper into the rave cave as the track progresses, expect a hoard of lysergic gremlins and machine-elves leading the charge.

C.P.I. is the brainchild of Marc Pin~ol and Hugo Capablanca. Marc is an old acquaintance of our label, both in remixing duties and as a stalwart of our Hiverned series. Hugo is one of Berlin's most charismatic DJs, who has already shown his unorthodox production skills on labels such as Co´meme, Gomma or his own Discos Capablanca. Now, they join forces to channel their shared love for Psychic TV, industrial music and New Beat through murky club tunes.

'Proceso' and 'El Tu´nel' are the result of two intense afternoons of studio-work in Barcelona. The main body of both tracks was recorded on the fly to keep to their primary energy, but then roun- ded up with all sorts of overdubs, synths and effects. At first sight they're two straightforward tracks bounded to heat up dancefloors. But through repeated listens they reveal countless details that keep us trapped in their dark and sultry atmosphere. Both songs worship hypnotic repetition; 'Proceso' by merging caustic synths and jacking pulses in obsessive manner and 'El Tu´nel' as an obscure trip that borrows structures from kraut-rock to grow into a 15 minute cosmic odyssey. In his 'Proceso' remix, Magazine co-founder Barnt adds one of his signature bubbling melodies to provide a euphoric twist to the tracks' throbbing cadence.

The 12' comes wrapped in an intriguing cardboard by Hivern's in-house designer Arnau Pi.

Daniel Avery is doubtless one of the fastest rising players in the ever-lively London dance music scene. Though DJing internationally as well as holding down a Fabric residency consumes much of his time, recently it has been in the studio where Avery has started to fashion himself a distinctive, idiosyncratic creative voice.
For his Throne Of Blood release, Avery refines his analog aesthetic, achieving a beguiling minimal/maximal tension. Propelled by a thunderous bass drum, 'Movement' gives way to a cavern-deep bassline, emotive chord work and adenoidal acid squelch. The pitched-down, hypnotic vocal mantra that punctuates the proceedings says all: this is indeed serious house music, designed to devastate

Great follow up of Dolly Dubs 01! Once again Staffan Lindberg is delivering. His nice & smooth 'The Orbit' is a great & optimistic club track that will have the sun shine on any floor, with the mighty Trevino remix adding a slightly rough edge to the original version. But don't let the easy-going fool you! The b-side dives in deeper territories with 'Y2K' that reminds a bit of early Kevin Saunderson works, and 'Feel like dancing', which is a proper sexy house burner for the morning hours. London-based, Belfast-born blogger-production duo Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson need little by way of introduction. They've released one absolutely killer track after another, snaking through everything fromdeep disco edits to moody two-step to classic New Jersey House vibes with incredible ease, on some of the most exciting labels out there: Throne of Blood, Under the Shade, Domino, Love Fever and now, Aus Music. This EP sees the pair working in collaboration with fellow Northern Irish producer Ejeca (aka Garry McCartney), as well as the inimitable Serge Santiago (in his Omar Odyssey guise), with Panorama Bar resident Steffi rounding off the release perfectly with a superbly crafted remix. Their blog Feel My Bicep continues to weed out an astonishing breadth of untapped and under-appreciated tunes and edits, even proving to be a popular destination for DJs looking to beef up their set-lists last minute before a gig. Their most recent single, $tripper was the top seller on Juno & Phonica for many weeks and with this new EP they look set to continue this seemingly endless run of on-point dance-floor bombs.

Ovum's 20th birthday celebrations continues with the debut of Sebastian Mullaert. Over the last 17 years, Sebastian Mullaert has had a long and distinguished career as one half of hardware experimentalist duo Minilogue, with releases on Cocoon, Wagon Repair and Crosstown Rebels. Now opting to focus more on solo endeavors, he hits the ground running with his sublime Ovum debut. Clocking in at a hefty 16 minutes in length, the title track is a heady excursion which flirts with reverb-drenched ouds and meandering keyboard scales, conveying an air of Arabic mystique. An array of acidic synths move in and out of focus, whilst skittering hi-hats and ride cymbals slowly build upon rafts of kinetic energy, all programmed with a deft, organic touch. In an impressive display of versatility, Mullaert promptly flips the vibe from Berlin basement to Ibiza sunset with 'Recapturing the Radical Self'. It starts off similarly enough, with brooding 303 squelches and sharp claps, but slowly ascends into a state of full-on Balearic bliss. A euphoric assembly of warm chords swell to the foreground, and chimes twinkle and dance throughout.

Alftavatn is Thomalla.s second EP release on Berlin-based Techno-label Krakatau Records. The tracks captivate instantly and still surprise with imaginative variety, sudden shifts and dazzling timbre. 23 year-old Thomalla was featured as a co-musician on Bodi Bill's European ›What‹-Tour in 2011/12 and recently started playing live-shows on his own. His tracks unite artistic and dancefloor-compatible appeal, which he was also able to show during last year's visit of the Red Bull Music Academy in Madrid. There's something uncomfortable about finding things at places you don't expect. Loskober aren't afraid of unorthodox production techniques and sound crafting. A strong dose of uber saturated sounds is smartly blended into a mix of squelchy 303 sounds and randomly placed crashed. Being just as straight forward as the Soul Notes imprint is considering itself, Loskober is balancing on the thin line between insanity and geniality. A place where producers are not likely to go for their first output. The B side called ''Bounce that Ass'' again shows some unconventional saturated drums together with a repetitive disco sample that together create a filtered down analog machine jam hinting to an outrageous period in dancefloor music whilst keeping its own identity. Loskober doesnt care about rules and expectations, just about keeping the funk alive.

"The Alphabet", von Skinnerbox und Aérea Negrot im Raw Acid Edit, hypnotisiert im Anschluss daran mit TB-303 Klängen und beschwörenden Vocals und ist mehr Trip als nur Track. Der Beitrag von Mr. Statik funktioniert getreu dem Motto "Bitchin Not Snitchin" und schickt seine Signale hinaus ins Strobolicht. Als vierten und letzten Track der Platte gibt es "Romantique" von Shinedoe und Christine Wheeler. Der Rave Rework besticht durch ein fesselndes Arrangement und einen charismatischen Spannungsbogen.

The pair (Ian Blevins & Phil Moody) had a steamroller of a year in 2013 with releases on Disco Bloodbath, Rothmans, Culprit LA and Audio Parallax. 2014 looks set to continue this trend with Al Gobi material signed to Messalina, Keep It Zen and Flight Recorder, amongst others. When they manage to get time together in the studio their output continues to shine.
While the original mix of a Cup of Tea is dark and unsettled - beautifully balanced bass notes and piano cutting through heavy, storm-pregnant air, Cottam's remix is the distillation of a second wind. His tribal, twisted, acidic treatment of this 3am concrete bunker anthem never overwhelms the piano refrain, instead giving it a new life, like the ghost of a party suddenly bequeathed fresh purpose as tired legs find boundless energy.
Meanwhile, Pueblo Grande brings something different to the party. Something harder, more insistent... After the release of his album 'Angular' half a year ago Mathias Schaffhauser and Mo's Ferry invite to discover the new remixes. The Frenchman Nicolas Masseyeff and Jorge Ciccioli from Argentina ensure international scope as well as musical variation. On the A side Masseyeff turns 'The Best Bad Idea' more into the fuffy techhouse genre and gives the track a refreshing summer fair. The steadily driving beat in combination with an effective house chord is skillfully enlivened by improvised percussion elements. In contrast the B side plays more in the darkness. Jorge Ciccioli is staying faithful with his roots and packs the track 'Schnuppe' in a minimal techno dress. The typical foundation of a rumbling subbass sound and a dry machine beat is topped with a truly hypnotising bassline. Besides the two remixes the 12' vinyl also features the two original tracks by Mathias Schaffhauser. Technoid sound, without compromise and to some extent brutally pushing forward.

Greek imprint Lower Parts drops the "Endless" EP this December, by DIMDJ. The Lower Parts imprint was birthed in Athens in 2013 and it's a collaboration of performers involved in the sound crafts, multimedia art and fashion. Now onto its fourth release the label is gradually building towards being one of the freshest imprints in its homeland. DIMDJ based out of Thessaloniki is delivering material which blurs lines between Acid House, Techno and Ambient, crafted with a variety of Roland and Akai analogue hardware and digital platforms. He has been a local hero in the scene as one half of the Audio Atlas duo.

The release kicks off with "Endless Am", a snarling bit of rubbery, mid tempo techno that is coloured with fizzling acid lines, elongated low-end tones and a rock-solid groove. Following is "CX4", a gurgling piece of pounding acid house built around a simplistic yet sturdy rhythm, distorted drums and lo-fi atmospherics.

The "~" is up next, an end of the night track with super sharp hi hats and a mellow feel to it. "Space View" is taking another approach sonically, with ethereal pads and the subtle brass licks subtly eased into the groove brilliantly. It feels tropical and trippy at the same time. Next up, "Don't need" is a raw house cut that surges on like a frictionless train with the lush cowbells and the square wave basslines, building up a moody vibe. Last, "Lost internet" is a shadowy piece of ambient music created by pitched-down voices, alien-like breaths and a slow acid line. It is a robust and bass heavy affair that treads a timeless house path.
