UK deep house legend Nail returns to Monologues Records for a full release after his sublime 'Decisions' featured on the 'Dialogue Vol. 2' various artists 12" at the end of last year. Ever consistent, he delivers two deliciously deep gems. 'Voodoo' is a low-down chugger, chunky beats doing battle with disco and soul samples in hypnotic effect. 'On Wid It' also oozes soul in its vocal sample and twinkling keys, a garage tinge to its groove. G. Markus steps up for the remix of 'Voodoo', keeping things rolling and injecting a big groove of a bassline into the proceedings.

BRS were a UK house outfit who released between 2000-2008 on their own imprint Friends & Families & on many other labels including 2020 Vision, Cyclo & Imperial Dub - the group comprised of Rob Evans, Ben Vacara & Mr Mulatto (the 2x latter now members of the Situation collective).

"Lovin' Me" was first released on a BRS EP on Imperial Dub recordings back in 2000. In its original format the 12" included The original mix, Dubtribe Sound System remix and a bonus track Bouncing.


SITUATIONISM are delighted to re-release the incredible full length Dubtribe Soundsystem remix again on limited vinyl. This remix became a classic, appearing on numerous compilations including Groove Armada's 'Another Late Night' and Ministry of Sound's Chillout sessions 2004 to name but a few.

Included on this limited vinyl run will be 2x new remixes from Italian deep house, motorbike duo Harley & Muscle & the also the lovely BitterSuite, both delivering quality mixes.

The 19th release of JEUDI showcases Deo & Z-man, one of the highly respected duos of the German underground club scene. It was a special heart wish for us to have them on board of the JEUDI ship as we are in love for their very own and unique sound since a long time.

Deo & Z-Man are bloodbrothers from Hamburg with Italian roots. They grew up influenced by different styles from Hip-Hop over Psyrock to Italopop. Now they blend everything in an inconceivable and multifaceted way. Known for impressing
live sets, enthusiastic dj gigs and innovative production skills, they never dedicated themselves to a single genre but preserved their extraversion to any kind of quality music. That let their spread expand and makes them sound unique and fresh within
the house universe.

Taken for the widely played and adored Lenny Williams Spark of Love Album, which was released during the Disco Era of 1976 and featured disco hits like, 'You got me Running', I still Reach and 'Midnight Girl' comes 'Changes.'

Edits and Overdubs Produced and Performed by Joaquin Joe Clausell; Changes is the tune that was mostly ignored from the extensive Lenny Williams music catalogue.
Similar to his past works where he chooses songs that are mostly un popular to the outside world but classics amongst himself and his siblings at home, Joaquin Joe Claussell takes this Jam that he used to groove to at home as a young teenager, lifts it out from obscurity and turns it into something that will sure be played by most DJ's who are into the Lenny Williams Sound, soulful disco and beyond.

Listed at a time length of (5:03) Joe cleverly up lifts this soulful disco composition and extends it to a time of (9:01). He achieves this, as usual, with respecting the original composition and with never anyself-masturbation. In the end, the results are a New Disco Classic that drives with relentless energy and enough soul for anyone who's seeking more soul that hailed mostly from the urban side of American disco music.

The Lehult Crew goes back to beach with this V.A. full of blistering sundowners. Inspired by utopian visions of northern holiday destination Sylt - Germany's 'White Isle' - the four tracks ooze a sense of lighthearted optimism. 'Rave (Sylt TV)' is a photo-op of a track: A chilled bottle of rose at Buhne 16 or a long night at Rotes Kliff with girls in sequin dresses. 'Refreshing Fruit, Tasty Fruit' paints a lighter picture of the same theme. Think a tasting tour of 15 different kinds of sparkling water. DJ Assam's 'Sandy' warms things up with distant laughter and swirly synths. But stay cozy, because a change of weather is always around the corner. New Aussie label, Corella Records, run by producer/DJ Blind Tiger (formerly Captn K) is broadening the repertoire with a second release, a new indie disco
12" single, Forbidden Fruit.
Forbidden Fruit - Field of Fruit Mix, is the one to check out. It's an indie dance/nu-disco excursion with driving bass and piano. Reverb slathered vocals from Steve Hensby
and dreamy strings make this track an uplifting 8 minute journey.
With a touch of early Chicago House in the piano stabs, Georgio Moroder in the rhythm, the drive of Underworld and repetitive elements reminiscent of Field.

Forbidden Fruit - Original Mix, is serving up some classic disco with funky synth bass, driving drums and percussion and the full range of vocalist Steve Hensby makes this a great dance floor mover.

Forbidden Fruit - Fruit Jam Mix, Blind Tiger delivers party jam vibes. Complete with electro drum machine, party goers and warped electric guitar from Luke

Dux. It's a fun, stripped-back remix, that feels like the guys have stumbled on a vintage drum machine and a bunch of instruments at a house party and start cooking up a fruity jam.

Three electro powerhouses join forces and take on remixing honors for Kadebostany's melancholic summer ballad "Mind If I Stay". Leader of Republic Kadebostany, the main artist has previously channeled his output on labels such as Freude Am Tanzen or Fenou, a sublabel of Dapayk's skillful producer Mo's Ferry. Ensnared by the compelling vocals, the artists take it on as the focal point in their arrangements, each in their own unique and memorable style.


Berlin's Sebastian Doering aka lovebirds signs a glistening, disco-infused reiteration, stripping down Rhita Natta's vocals and focusing on a deep and playful layering. What results is a glitch-tinged highly melodic piece that's perfect for warm sunny days.

Hailing from Dortmund and bringing in his modern house Ruhr sound, Kittball's Ante Perry serves up a light-filled exploration, channeling airy pads and dreamy atmospheres.

Known for his instrumental-driven productions, Cocolino label chief SIS offers up an intricately deep journey laced with wispy strings and mellifluous chords.

Tel Aviv's Hectik and Asaf Samuel come with a vicious edit of a drunk and rowdy wedding classic. Mexico's Mufti takes the Maserati into overdrive with his rework of an 80's heater. International waters won't be muddied by this unity of lust and fury.

It's Borft Payback time... Here comes tropical house, raj raj and mysteriousness.

Kicking off the first of two tracks by Sondrio Night Train is smooth and subtle, this melodic low slung groover is made for those warm summer days. The Deep tones give the low end just enough attitude to get those boots knocking.

Give It Like is punchy and upbeat, Sondrio gives you a dance floor weapon that'll have the punters up in arms. His signature low end notes drive this record with vocal stabs that will fit in any set.

First up on B side Ant LaRock drops another groovy house number Better Think with a mesmerising vocal laid on top of nothing but luscious chords. Summer needs records like this, it's what memories are made of.

Rhode & Brown are back on their motherlabel Toy Tonics! After last year's breakbeat - tune 'St Hippolyte' and getting remixed by their buddies Hodini and Glenn Astro, their new EP takes their sound further again. From DIY-disco to dreamy house, whatever you like to call it.. the tracks have this joyful touch, that makes their sound so special. This time their production way was a little bit different: While spending holidays on the marvellous island of Zanzibar they produced the raw versions of this EP. They set up their studio at a beach cabanne. With a monkey becoming their muse. They monkey came over every day to listen to their sounds. They became friends and called the monkey Rosie and fed her with mangos. When back in Europe the Munich boys still were in a 'balearic mood". So they went to a house deep in the south of France to finish the music. The result were 4 tracks. Three for this EP. And one track that they gave to the other Munich based label Public Possession for their recent SERIE A compilation. Which makes totally sense: Public Possession and Toy Tonics both have links to Gomma records. It's all a family thing. Where Great Munich vibes incoming!

Enigmatic producer Waxwood has a genuinely global outlook. Born in Russia, resident in Brooklyn and a regular visitor to Los Angeles, he can often be found jetting off to far-fung parts of the World in order to make feld recordings and immerse himself in different musical cultures.
You can hear these disparate global infuences and inspirations in
Waxwood's frst single for Claremont 56, which comes on the back of a near legendary 2015 cassette for NYC's Styles
Upon Styles, Sahasraha, which magically fused tropical hand
percussion and densely layered feld recordings with lilting ambient chords, hypnotic electronic rhythms and all manner of intoxicating
aural fourishes. 'Kama' is a slightly different beast from its' predecessor, with a sunny disposition and laidback breeziness throughout. Although underpinned
by a sturdy kick-drum pattern, its chiming melodies and metallic
percussion fourishes - reminiscent of indigenous music from far-
fung nations such as Malaysia and Indonesia - combine with gentle acoustic guitar motifs and waves of acid-esque electronics to create a beguiling and life-affrming mood. It offers more proof that Waxwood is a producer with a unique musical vision. The track's inherent gentle breeziness is explored in greater detail on the accompanying remix, which has been provided by Phantom Island regulars Fuga Ronto (AKA Swiss musicians/producers Ron Shiller and Tobi Schweizer). Riffng on Waxwood's original, they've added superb new vocals and instrumentation - think dreamy harmonies, tumbling synthesizer melodies and mesmerizing guitar parts - to create a sunset-friendly Balearic revision that's both stunningly beautiful and dazzlingly sun-kissed.

Harlem's legendary Disco label Queen Constance has long been a cult favourite among fans of underground dance music for decades.

One of many labels operating under the equally legendary P&P family of imprints Queen Constance was operated by one Peter Brown, a truly colossal figure in NYC's music scene, it's catalogue still fascinates music lovers to this day. Covering a wide range of styles including Gospel, early Rap and Disco the label's output continually finds it way into the playlists of respected DJ's and selectors across the globe. Wayne Forde's super heavyweight 'Dance To The Music Freakout' is the second reissue from the label for 2018!

Yet again, not much is known about Wayne Forde, or his band 'Stereo'. Could it be another Peter and Patrick studio project Another selection of local, neighbourhood players and singers Who knows What we do know, however, is that this record is a TOTAL disco bomb. All of what you want from a Queen Constance record is here, it's dripping in funk, raw and soulful. Essential stuff for anyone with even a passing interest in disco or anything funky. These jams are super long, percussive dance-floor melters that will do damage! Super rare, too. You won't find one of these nestled in the racks in your local chazzer, which is exactly why these (legit) represses should be in your cart. Essential.

We've had our eyes on Obas Nenor for a while and after his disco-meets-Detroit affair on 'Mahogani', and some great releases on his newly started own label 'Nenorian music' and 'Sol Power', we're happy to share his work for Heist with you. 'The Ceaper Buing EP" features 4 original cuts and a remix by Swedish "Mr. Tophat" that navigates somewhere between really weird, and really groovy. If you've seen any of his studio videos, you'll see he's has a great mix between live instrumentation, and sampling on his MPC, and each track on this EP has so many great elements working together, that it will be hard to pick a favourite. "The doors" has a great filtered funk loop going on with some roughed up disco percussion, whereas the Tophat remix twists and turns the original into somewhat of a tribal(ish) drum workout that is probably best enjoyed in a really really dark room. "Glimpse of light" has some really interesting sampling going on with a feel that is almost 'rock', but gets more and more disco with some lovely synth work as the track progresses. As a counterpart to the first part of the EP, 'Wacky' slows things down to give you a summery, afro inspired track that we forced him to send us after we saw a short clip online of him jamming away on his Korg x-911. UV lights is a somewhat special track for us that you wouldn't expect on Heist at first, but makes for a great addition to our musical world. It's perfect 'hands-in-the-air' end of the night material, with a serene and emotional vibe that is really hard not to love. Altogether, it's a great EP that we're really happy to share with you. Scottish producer & DJ Graeme Clark AKA The Revenge releases his second album 'When The Thrill Comes' on his own Roar Groove imprint on 11th May 2018.

'When The Thrill Comes' is a demonstration of a producer achieving a point of maturity in their work, able to exercise a sense of restraint, to allow for their sound to have space. It is also the opportunity for The Revenge to explore his own electronic music roots with a deeper pared-back sound more in touch with his earliest production experiences in house and techno.

Clark is no novice to the art of production and the sweaty alchemy of animating bodies on dance floors. He has been producing and playing electronic music since 1995, in many forms, though is well known for 'some of finest modern disco dubs and re-edits on the block' (DJ Mag). This passion for dusty disco and deep cuts is reflected in his long-standing collaboration with Craig Smith as 6th Borough Project which has yielded 3 albums and provided the foundation for the influential but now defunct Instruments Of Rapture label.

2015 was a momentous year for Clark with the release of his debut album 'Love That Will Not Die' on his own Roar Groove imprint. The LP picked up 'Best British Album' from DJ Mag, was shortlisted for Scottish Album Of The Year and drew support from leading DJs including Jackmaster, John Talabot, Solomun, Craig Richards, Axel Boman amongst others. Recent production work has both cemented and extended his reputation; with his future-facing remix for Auntie Flo being re-touched by Dixon for the Philomena label and his two EP's for Berlin's Dirt Crew Recordings reinforcing his love for solid club jams

Saxophonist, composer and bandleader Nubya Garcia is back with the eagerly awaited next chapter to her musical unfolding, When We Are. Enabled with the support of the prestigious Steve Reid Foundation's InNOVAtion award, and with Eglo records co-founder Sam Shepherd (Floating Points) as her mentor, this self-released EP features two newly recorded compositions from the much-lauded artist. The record also comes with B-side remixes from two generations of London's finest producers, K-15 and Maxwell Owin. Following on from her scorching sophomore release, Nubya's 5ive (jazz:refreshed), When We Are sees the trailblazing player take typically self assured steps into new territory with electronic experimentation. 'I've been inspired a lot by the producers around me at the moment, people like Ben Hayes, Tom Misch, Joe Armon- Jones, Jake Long and Maxwell Owin', said Garcia. 'There's an electronic vibe in there that I wanted to explore more, and this release feels like a positive evolution from the last EP.' Much like the celebrated Brownswood release, We Out Here, where Garcia features on five of the nine tracks, When We Are offers a snapshot of the artist she is today and the organic musical languages she continues to form with her long term collaborators Femi Koleoso, Joe Armon-Jones and Daniel Casimir. The title track opens with the easy cascading of Armon-Jones on keys, Garcia's signature erudite tone dancing against the drummer Koleoso's boxy, afro-tinged hip hop runs; all three riding on Casimir's beautifully subtle, abetting bass. Crisp and clean, the track's sweet inflections are carried into spacious territory by light touch pedal effects. Source comprises of shape-shifting, Tetris-like grooves. It's a characteristically sophisticated sound from the band, where each player is able to shine around the trademark fusion of gospel, soul, broken beat, Afro-Caribbean and Latin styles that Garcia has deftly crafted into her own. Alongside her releases, Garcia's reputation as a DJ is burgeoning, bolstered by her hit radio residencies on platforms including Balamii and NTS, and a growing number of live sets across Europe. The record partly draws on the energy of the club-nights that shaped her formative years. The grime and garage nights in north London, dub nights across the river in south London, and of course, the infamous Steez performance jams that have served as a rite of passage for much of the scene.

New project alert for this experienced duo with a deep history from playing Hammond organ for Robert Plant, releasing 12"s on MAW's Kenlou Records and playing weekly six hour vinyl DJ sets, with 20+ years experience WLC have come full circle for this diverse EP. "Give You More" is a MPC house groover with KDJ-esque jazz-funk loops and vocal sample chops while "Miami Rice & Peas" centres around Latin piano motifs. "Everybody's A Star" replays the classic Minnie Riperton "Inside My Love" chord progression but with added vocals and disco flavours and "Which Way Is Detroit" fuses broken beat, techno, live keys and electric bass with a pulsating breakbeat. Finally, the bouncy "Five Soul Chords" utilises some J Dilla swing combined with warm analogue synth programming. Highly recommended.
