House Vinyl New Releases - News

Das Komplex or Marcin to his parents has been steadily putting out incredible music for the last few years, building on an extremely well tailored collection of tracks they have started hitting all sorts of people's radar, no one more so than Dj Harvey who has been supporting his releases at some of his big shows.

A1. Under Feet - Whilst the people of Australia are dancing, the people of Poland are sleeping. Or vice versa...Starting off with some lcd fuelled vibes before a psychedelic phasing disco loop appears out of the smoke before twisting the track out in a slightly different direction.

A2. W Podwodnym Pasniku - Funky bass, filtered chords and a familiar vocal sample combine for this almost early french house sounding track circa '96.

B1. Bearded Dwarf - Very much sounding like Prins Thomas has been at work here, a big room Scandinavian sounding house track (via Poland!).
Big atmospherics, other-worldly vocal samples, lovely guitar snatches and driving piano with the addition of some tribal flute!

B2. When - Our favourite cut from the EP, cleverly using a Herbie Hancock sample and layering with disco sounds, vocals and a deep driving bass line to produce his trademark atmospheric, moody house sound.
As always pressed on 180gm vinyl. Please hunt down and destroy dance floors accordingly. Keep Sydney Open

Label boss Tonbe is back on Disco Fruit under the moniker Loshmi for the first time. Loshmi is specialized for great disco and funk re-edits and he is a well known with his "Serious Edits" series on digital imprint. He constantly trying to blur dots between disco, funk and house music. These four tunes are selection of Loshmi's best selling pieces on digital imprint. Highlights include the pounding disco-rock-flute workout "Drugstore". "Sweet & Nasty" is just about as seductive as you can get - those strings do some real damage in that groove, while "Wsoop Wsoop" deliver heavy, floor-friendly P-funk workouts.

(prins thomas remix) March this year saw long time Full Pupp contributor and Oslo dj Marius Circus step out of hibernation and launch his own label. In The Garden's first release, "Roger Wilco's Night Out" received a warm welcome. For the second outing 'Veggepysj' he called in the big gun(s) for remix duty.

March this year saw long time Full Pupp contributor and Oslo dj Marius Circus step out of hibernation and launch his own label. In The Garden's first release, "Roger Wilco's Night Out" received a warm welcome.

The producer has apparently decided to keep the momentum up. In The Garden's second 12" will be released in mid June this year.
The title track "Veggepysj" is a chugging midnight affair, with swirling arps, a driving bassline and dreamy pads. "Mellow Johnny's", is a somewhat more (dare we say it...) balearic affair. Yet, it still has Marius Circus' undeniable personal twist, with off kilter percussion and weird textures from his synth arsenal.

Finally, the producer has called in the big gun(s) for remix duty. The flip sees long time friend, Full Pupp kingpin and undeniably one of the world's finest djs, turn the title track into a 9 minute dance floor monster. We're obviously talking about Prins Thomas. In his usual way, Thomas manages to take it up several notches, while still keeping the original's charm present.

Repress of Garth BE's in demand debut release 'Nocturnal Jam'

The good doctor has been a cherished member of the Jalapeno Records family for the best part of ten years now with three albums and many more singles to his name.

With evergreen support from the likes of BBC6Music and especially Craig Charles his back catalogue never seemed to fall out of fashion and we consistently received requests to reissue classic tracks on vinyl for discerning DJs and fans.

Well we're not the types to argue with anyone and frankly we thought that they might have a good point so we've relented and are releasing a special 7" vinyl with two versions of his seminal track 'Disco Scene'.

Of course the classic original mix is present and the frantically energetic 'Breaks Of Wrath Re-Edit' has got its back...One vinyl, two banging mixes, many happy people - it's just simple maths really.

REPRESS ALERT: Fresh from 1986 - and recently re-edited by John Talabot - documents do not get any more Balearic than this.... Spanish trio Ishinohana's debut album is rich in cosmic attitude. At points daydreaming while the sand laps at its toes (the lilting nylon strings and soft padded hand drums of "Lucia", the overlapping guitars and galloping refrains of "La Flor De Piedra"), at others a much darker, more spacious star-gazing affair (the Arabic dreams of "El Beso Negro") and at others a heavier rhythmic, floor-minded approach (the lolloping bass and reggae-wise strums of "Variacion 23") this is a timeless document that befits situations and sceneries that existed long before this record was conjured up... And will remain so for generations after. Stunning.

- Previous releases on Italians Do It Better, Eskimo, Bear
Funk and more- Limited to 200 copies
- One half of live tribal house duo Deardrums, also
available on 2MR 'YAML' has a long history... nearly 10 years of it in fact! Bottin produced most of the instrumental almost a decade ago when he had a bedroom studio and his girlfriend at the time came up with the 'You are my love' (hence the title 'YAML') hook and the first notes of the melody. It's a song about a somewhat destructive yet playful relationship: the girl is willingly submissive and mixes reality with her dreams - she portraits her lover as dominant while she's in fact leading the game. Finally Bottin enlisted his friend Lavinia Claws who helped out with the final lyrics and recorded the vocals in Berlin. Lavinia will also be starring in the forthcoming music video of the song. The flipside of the record 'Roulez Jeunesse' is Bottin's soundtrack to an
imaginary amusement park. We don't know the exact
origin of the French saying Roulez Jeunesse but the person in charge to set you up and start the ride would yell 'Roulez jeunesse!' when everyone was locked in. The expression is now commonly used to mean that you're all set to go, which seems fitting given the propulsive space disco vibe of the track.

A carefully crafted recreation of the 1987 pressing. Featuring Taana Gardner, Sparque, Shirley Lites, Raw Silk, Michelle, Sybil Thomas, Stone and Brenda Taylor this eight track compilation of full length history making classics showcases just some of the highlights from the legendary West End catalogue. As Sparque says.... Lets go dancin'.

We are very happy to announce that our NEW reference OR_11SE Synths Versus Me "Tormento Part 1" have been entered into pressing process so preorders are available from today with a prevision of reception on mid april 2016. After the sold out SVM first album "Auferstehung", we release the first part of their second album "Tormento" that have been divided in 2 parts on the vinyl edition in order to maintain the EP/Maxi sound in all the tracks. This is a limited hand numbered deluxe edition of 150 copies in 2x12" of 140 gr. solid black vinyl and will include an inner sleeve hand signed by the band and SVM sticker... All tracks have been specially remastered for LONG CUT vinyl format by Alek Stark at Fundamental Audio (Madrid).

Public Release's lucky thirteen and second release of 2017 is by another kindred spirit newcomer to the label; Earth Boys, a Brooklyn-based duo that's all dreamy keys, soft pads, peace frogs, throwback vibes, and deftly futuristic house rhythms, though not necessarily in that order.
With Trail Mix, Mike Sherburn and Julian Duron have built four gloriously friendly, oddball house cuts— cheeky, choppy vocal samples juxtaposed against schmaltzy piano licks and punchy tribal rhythms rubbing against smooth bass figurations. Their ironic sense of humor intersects with precisely crafted productions in a way that underscores both, making the EP a brilliant concoction of bouncy, energetic dance music that teases the genre as much as it revels in it. If that messes with your head, just shut down your left brain, drop the needle, take a big ol' rip, and see where a microdose of Earth Boys will take you.

A1 is KW edit of Kellee's Funky Disco classic.
A2 is KW edit of Tchaikovsky's Real Classic Dance music.

Frederic Bergamaschi from Bretagne, who produce under a few monikers like Infinity Night, which could be familiar, if you are a voyageur of the space-roller disco Universe. He has been released by Bordello A Parigi as well. Now Infinity Night appears with his new Eternal Love EP on Dalmata Daniel, which contains a five of his own material and remix from Charles B. Barkin.Eternal Love has a unified narrative line from the begin to the end which will whirl you to a cosmic journey with full of diverse moods. It's nicely build up, consist of upbeat energies, modest melancholic rhythms, electro-disco time traveling, naive romantic melodies and wavy synth desirable dreams.Charles B. Barkin's is remix a soft echo, far distance sense approach of the Dark Energy track.Infinity Night shows his knowledge and sensitivity with Eternal Love. It's a genuine piece on electro-synth-disco axis with it's own depths and heights and guide you to a never ending story. - Mihály Fazekas

The American Boogie Down finally makes it on vinyl! To celebrate the 10 years anniversary of the groundbreaking compilation by Jerome Derradji & Rob Sevier (Numero), Past Due Records, the reissue division of Still Music is finally releasing this incredible selection or rare and lost boogie funk and disco from the Midwest and beyond on wax.

Returning from the Italian excursion of Vol. 13 before the U.K. pulls up the proverbial drawbridge, Neil Diablo delivers another To Rack & Ruin winner live and direct from the Northern powerhouse. Showing some love for the finer half of the county, Neil presents the best the North East has to offer, enlisting 'Our friends from the north' Yorkshire's Craig Bratley and Newcastle's James Hadfield to do the damage on this slick split 12".
After a relatively quiet 2016, Mr Bratley shuffles his Magic Feet into the studio and sticks his fist directly into the mainframe, coming back with a pair of strangely psychedelic body movers to decorate the A-side.'Ani Kuni' bursts out the blocks in a swell of fizzing sequencer, throbbing bass and tonking mid tempo percussion, sparking away wildly like a Tesla toothbrush.
An East-meets-West affair, the track marries the thrusting electronics of Krautrock with lightly spiced Indian vocals and hippie guitar licks, conjuring visions of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi gurning away at a Faust show. Bratley retains the propulsive percussion for A2 number 'Acid Mother', syncing gurgling synth bass beneath loose funk guitars and warbling lead lines as we're slowly sucked through the wormhole.
As the track chugs ceaseless through Baldelli's cosmic terrain, rhythmic chants and rubbery bass solos reverberate through the vacuum, locking us into their other worldly gravity. Resistance is futile. We head up the A1 for the flipside, hooking up on the toon with Elizabeth Collective mainstay James Hadfield, who serves up two reheated treats tastier than your last parmo! Wielding the white stiletto and sweet sequined shimmer, Hadfield lets loose his disco juice on "Love And Affection", chucking some dreamy Gamble & Huff vocals over a dope and dusty groove.
Crackling like a campfire cookout, this infectious cut spits out slick bass, dubbed out guitar and precise percussion, keeping your body in motion while the piano noodle and soulful vocal swirl through your brainspace.Things take a turn for the technologic on "Silent Builder", those organic disco licks replaced by swelling sine waves, soaring siren calls and military breakbeats.
The punchy bassline provides a steady hand as the track gradually pulls itself apart, unravelling into squelching synth wobbles, oddball samples and proggy solos.
Wonderfully wonky, this is music for when the walls start to melt. Four freaky cuts from two top talents - To Rack & Ruin for the win.
Early DJ Support from Andrew Wetherall, Aeroplane, Psychemagik & PBR Streetgang.

Goran uroic is behind this stunning solo project from croatia. manmachine is a modern version of the best leonard cohen, trapping the audience with simple musical compositions that repeats instruments most of the time, reaching the perfection trough a sort of naïf minimal synth and all that combined with pure poetry, cause the most relevant about this project is the lyrics and the hidden messages and trues on each of the 7 tracks included on this minialbum. manmachine 12' arrives on ultra limited and ultra deluxe edition, the lyrics will be reproduced on handwritting by goran himself on the printed innersleeve. this will be for sure considered one of the best oraculos to date. we are in front of an inmediate classic. all tracks remastered specially for vinyl by eric van wonterghem at prodam studio (berlin).

Vandalaze is the solo project of the californian cory you, obsessed with video games, alternative retro sci-fi and 80's californian aesthetics, his music is of a one-off and impossible to tag style, samplers and old rompler drum machines combined with funk, ebm, electro or 80's house creating a mesmerizing avantgarde result. it arrives on ultra limited and ultra deluxe edition, including printed innersleeve with pictures of cory himslef on his daily life. certainly this is not a record for everyone, is a step forward for visionaire minds. a rule breaker sure classic for 2030. all tracks remastered specially for vinyl by eric van wonterghem at prodam studio (berlin).

Another solid selection of cuts, overlooked gems and classics from the deepest recesses of the KMS vaults. The legendary label should require no intro, but for the uninitiated it's one of the OG Detroit imprints, operating since the late 80's well into the future under the watchful eyes of Kevin 'Master Reese' Saunderson. The idea behind the KMS "Origins" series is to shine a light on the lesser known cuts in the KMS vaults as well as the classics that have given the label it's legendary status during it's lifetime.
Across 4 tracks here on EP #3 we have some heavy hitters for sure - Terrence Parker's stellar 'Come with me', a deeply solid soulful cut of the highest order, flipping a well known vocal sample in the process and teaming it up with some soaring strings and pads. TP is already a legend and his style is unique, tracks like 'Come with me' will always have that timeless quality. 24-7-365 was a monicker used by a young Mr. Derrick Carter (alongside George Andros) the 'Tropical House' mix of 'Sample That!' first dropped in 1989(!) and is a rough and ready robotic jam featuring all manner of samples for the eagle eared to get stuck into, proper early house sounds right here, the way it should be done - with the FUNK intact!
Side B sees a stone cold classic kicking things off - C&M Connection's 'Bio-Rhythms' leads us in, these artists would be known a little later under the guises of Altern-8 and Nexus 21 leading the UK rave charge. 'Bio-Rhythms' is Detroit leaning techno-soul of the highest order, smooth, melodic and introspective - a late night / early morning winner. The mighty R-Tyme round out the EP, one of the maestro Derrick May's pseudonyms from back in the day, here May bends genres (alongside Detroit luminary D. Wynn) and pushes a futuristic sound that is uncategorizable, sounding like little else from the time (1989!) 'Illusions' is classy, other-worldly and techno in it's purest, most crystalized form - Utterly essential!
4 absolute jams from the KMS catalogue, for the hardcore or the newly initiated - Now is the time - Acquaint yourself!
Selected, remastered and repressed with the full cooperation of KMS records, Detroit MI.

Here comes the next part in the sick edits series of Toy Tonics records. 3 secret weapons of the Toy Tonics & Gomma records crew. This time made by new kid from the block KAPOTE. Soon more from this little genius on TT.

'Nyako' is our 7th vinyl release here at OtC and it's a big one. South African producer 'Behr' created 'Nyako' together with Makadem during a Santuri Safari session at Sondeka Festival in Kenya.

The E.P is 4 cuts that build in brilliance from the original which has extremely broad appeal. Indian producer 'Daisho' delivers a straight ahead 4 x 4 house groover, south-London production duo Modified Man swing their analogue machines into action for a heady synth adventure, which is just a bit broken. Berlin-based duo of Dirk Leyers and DJ Nomad (Hans Reuschl) are the ideal pairing to merge technology and tradition together as AFRICAINE808 bring up the rear with a balearic sensation to round off the EP.

Makadem is a talented musician and vibrant performing artist from Kenya. He's a figurehead of the Benga scene in Nairobi. His stage presence and powerful vocal delivery, had him likened to the legendary Fela Kuti. Makadem innovates by bringing traditional African instrumentation, story telling and contemporary production methods together.

Working together for 16 years and counting, Craig Smith & Graeme Clark aka 6th Borough Project possess unrivalled experience. They've DJ'd at pivotal clubs next to the biggest names, released music on seminal labels, and cultivated a solid knowledge of everything from Jazz, funk and soul to Chicago house and Detroit Techno. Something of a rarity to find in the artists of today.
Following up two solid LPs on revered label Delusions Of Grandeur, 2011's One Night In The Borough and 2014's Borough 2 Borough, Find Your Rhythm marks the duo's third album and is released on Graeme's own Roar Groove imprint. It will feature long time collaborator vocalist Paul Joseph and ties into a new Edinburgh based residency of the same name.
Spanning everything from disco, house, techno and hip-hop, Find Your Rhythm is an impactful return and testifies the duo's ever-present innovation and mastery that simply does not falter with time.

Two salacious sample heavy edits ready for the floor. Soft and delicious DJ goodies. What a lovely way to Burn. Give me the Diamonds. UH. xx

Is Frank Butters a new artist risen out of nowhere via incendiary releases on his own Too Many Squares label, or is he perhaps an established artist taking a new direction The only concession to this question is that he's someone Man Power has known a long time, and one of his favourite new artists.
Frank's Cult Of Glamour focuses his early 80s proto-house aesthetic, with two machine driven cuts at differing tempos for opposing late night moods.
For remix duties, Me Me Me asked all time hero Andrew Weatherall to deliver his own version, and deliver he does with a swamp rock lead bellied organic take of Make It Right (as well as a digital only instrumental version).
To close off the package Man Power has enlisted Not An Animal Record's mainstay Ess

It's been a year since Francis Inferno Orchestra's last hit for Superconscious Records 'Harmony' shredded it's way into record bags across the globe, Now, twelve months on, he returns with his latest 12' 'Oasis and A Time'. The A-side consists of two versions of the lead track 'Oasis'. The 'Celestial Body Mix' which is a dreamy uptempo dance escape, and the 'Erotikk Mix' which gives a nod to early Italian DFC records and the sounds of Deep Forest. On the flip, 'Mating Rituals of the Eastern Suburbs' is a devoted chant to the humble inhabitants of the suburb of Burwood in Melbourne.

Kon is back with his own imprint " Star Time " Focusing on multi track reworks

The 1st release features his unavailable, sought after rework of chic's classic "good times"
Kon strips the intro down to just the Rhodes and slowly builds it up with claps and vocals, dropping into the groove.

The flip side is Kon's rework of chic's "everybody dance" which starts with just the drums, then the bassline, stripping & breaking down the track to just piano and stings throughout, which should work on just about any dance floor.

Kenny Summit's Dirty Lowdown and Sunshine Boogie spent some time atop the digital charts and have been remastered for your vinyl spinning pleasure. NuDisco party anthems in their own right, both tracks have become go-to jams for the leaders in the genre.
House legend, Lenny Fontana has been making underground classics for the past 30+ years and his 'BUMP' track shows why this man has been running things for so long. Timmy Vegas & The Boogie Down DeeJays rework one of the all time Paradise Garage classics, turning funk to stank and spank to SPANKY.
Pressed on Limited Purple Vinyl get em while they're hot!!

The Brussels based guys from Vitesse are debuting on the brand new Crevette Records label. Dim the lights, pour yourself a Sex on the Beach and dial your stereos up to 10 for this one. A-side 'In de Lucht' is an ode to the intoxicating pleasures of life while the dreamy synths and juicy bassline on 'Sorry Adriaan' encourages you to do nasty things... The dance floor pads and bells on B2 are guaranteed to ignite even the most challenging dance floors. Whether your going to the Discoteca or cruising into the sunset this EP will do the trick.

Needing very little introduction here is soulful Scotsman Al Kent, who delivers the dirty goods for his first outing on RNT. Good Inside and 4006 are a pair of dusty reworks, as gritty and groovy as you like. But the prize of this EP might just be Come Back Home, the crown jewel of his decade-earlier Secret Sounds collection, finally getting a proper vinyl for the first time ever!

DJ Skelector returns from Eternia with 'Man Hole 002

PDD are pleased to welcome back Chicago's legendary edit don Underdog Edits. Sourcing material both familiar and obscure, this release is an education on how to craft the perfect extended DJ version.

Found you in a box on the corner of Bedford and N 9th. It was love at first sight. You, with your grooves so perfectly etched and me with an insatiable hunger to fill my ears. You might be only 200 copies, but I've got a question, can i have one too

This time around Kon teams up with The Reflex to drop a summertime sure shot.
It seems MJ stopped by the lab to drop off a few sessions, heaven sent indeed. Two anthemic dance floor bombs that should rock just about any disco party.
Kon goes to work on " get on the floor ", breathing new life into it with unheard vocals, drum breaks and more.
The Reflex flips PYT, and gives it a proper work out, yet again giving a whole new twist to this tune, complete with some call and respo nse action for the ladies.
