2LP 180gr gatefold) International Feel's Mark Barrott puts together Hostel La Torre compilation. The 15-track set, assembled with Pete Gooding, is inspired by Barrott's sunset residency at the Ibiza venue, with music from DJ Harvey, Domenique Dumont, Francis Bebey, Finis Africae, Penguin Cafe Orchestra and Barrott himself.

No matter the season or the nationality, every day on Ibiza, tribute is paid to Carthaginian deity Tanit at sunset. The warrior goddess of dance, fertility, creation and destruction lords over the Balearic island, as she has for centuries. Phoenicians, Assyrians, Greeks, Carthaginians, Arabs, and even the Norwegians have conquered the island since ancient times and every summer that history plays out, a similar array of nationalities descending on the island anew. Yet the soul of Ibiza remains intact. Every sunset still ushers in her arrival. That singular, sacred time on the island, taking on the feel of a pagan ritual, a shift in consciousness... the end of the beginning.

For those who make the pilgrimage looking for this transformative experience, it requires little more than venturing away from the Vegas-like lights of San Antonio towards such sublimity. Tucked away on the west coast of the island, Hostel La Torre beckons with its beauty and 'vista spectacular', encompassing the essence of that authentic Balearic spirit, as pioneered by Alfredo Fiorito at Amnesia and José Padilla at Café del Mar in the early 80s.

But this is not an exercise in nostalgia, rather a journey that seeks to reframe Balearic music in the present moment by embracing that 'anything goes' spirit via the avant-garde of Finis Africae's Managua', rare classics like the Arabic pop funk of Ahmed Fakroun's Nisyan' and Cameroonian poetry of Francis Bebey's Forest Nativity', with the proto Ambient House of Spooky's Orange Coloured Liquid' and modern productions like Dominique Dumont's Comme ça', Andras's Gold Coast' and Mark Barrott's Deep Water'. Balearic in its truest form is all these things and much more, it's cosmopolitan and countercultural, international yet wholly specific to a singular place on Earth.

It lights upon and encapsulates all the evocative beauty of Ibiza, the sounds themselves matching the colour palette of the island. The red dirt hills and the white sands, the pink blooms of almond trees and the electric blue of the water surrounding Es Vedrà, the magnetic magic, vivid colours and raw beauty of Ibiza is all here. At its root, Balearic music is always experiential. So even if you can't get to the terrace at La Torre for the 'vista spectacular', feel free to open up the gatefold, pour a chilled glass of Belondrade and journey back within.

Hello Sailor Recordings third release features Esa 'Brazilian Remakes'London based South African Esa Mervin Granger is part of a unique breed of talent emerging on the electronic music scene. Drawing influences from his roots but firmly looking towards the future, Esa embodies a sound without limitations.
Esa has developed a distinct yet and expansive musical identity. A regular at many of the best underground parties, venues and festivals across the UK and Europe, Esa has also carved out a niche curating electronic music-focused educational programmes in Cuba, East Africa and South Africa which forms part of the Highlife World Series project. Continuing to further his knowledge and share his skills inspiring enthusiastic DJ's and producers around the world.
After a trip to Brazil in late 2015, Esa had the opportunity to meet some inspiring young Brazilian DJ's / producers, notably Dani Souto, Carrot Green & Millos of Selvagem who introduced him to the Cel-Som record store in downtown Sao Paulo, it was here that Esa discovered some of the legacy artist such as Zeze Motta, Tribo Massahi and Tim Maia which were the source of inspiration for these two remakes, the first from legendary Tim Maia, 'Que Beleza' with new arrangements and elements was given beautiful percussion and fresh spacey atmosphere, quite transcendental and pleasant to the ears.
Sandra Sa, 'Trem do Central' delivers a more DJ / Dance floor friendly version with filtered samples, a funky bassline and detuned chords.Both remakes celebrate the respected artist and their great music.

Limited edition remastered LP of an unknown group from Venezuela : Grupo Almendra, they released only one Album in 1978 today very hard to find containing a powerful mix of jazz latin funk and cosmic disco. Each song is unique!

Trevor Jackson has been working at the forefront of audio and visual culture for over 20 years. The London based Creative Director, moving-image maker, producer and DJ's work includes countless classic record covers, and has been exhibited at prestigious international galleries/museums like the ICA, the Barbican, and the Guggenheim. Jackson's iconic Output Recordings label ran from 1996-2006 and helped launch the careers of Four Tet and LCD Soundsystem. Trevor released a classic 'DJ Kicks' album, for !K7 and remixed artists as diverse as Metronomy, Massive Attack, U2, The Cure, Tiga, Run DMC, Soft Cell and Dinos Chapman. He's created award-winning artwork for Soulwax, been commissioned to create audio visual works for major brands like BMW, Lexus and Coca Cola, and continues to work as an art director, designer and film maker - most recently for XL recordings signing POWELL and US major league beat-maker Clams Casino.PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED' follows the success of last year's multi-edition album release 'F O R M A T' via The Vinyl Factory, media praise his 'Science Fiction Dancehall Classics' On-U Sound compilation, and the 'Metal Dance' series for Strut.

Thunder Tillman is a cosmic vagabond who travels through space and time accompanied by his personal shaman. Together, as if having fallen to Earth, their mission is to recreate the music of their estranged home, reuniting with their brothers and sisters through an exquisite form of storytelling. While Western music may have degenerated over the past 65 years, troopers such as Thunder Tillman continue to drill down toward an elusive core, searching for something holy while never bastardizing their art with insincere advents of technology or convenience—as is apparent throughout their immaculate analogue production on this ESP Institute debut, Jaguar Mirror. Comparisons to genres like Krautrock are predictable, however we feel these four songs are so heavily narrative and wildly visceral that attempting to categorize the music would be a disservice to your imagination. We implore you to lay back in a nice stereo environment and absorb the purity of Thunder Tillman's endeavor—appreciate their command of melody, composition, spectrum, magic... and try to recall the last time you chanced upon something truly different.

Rothmans are back with their first real milestone as a label and what better way to celebrate the labels 10th record than honouring the greatest no10 of all time Diego Armando Maradona Franco.

In their first 3 seasons Rothmans have developed a reputation for throwing us curve ball after curve ball, and in what has without doubt been their best season yet off the back of Roth 8's house slammer with Aimes & Brassica, to Roth 9's Acid Arab chug from Naduve & co, they have once again thrown another huge spanner in the works (feels like 1986 all over again)

The Diego Maradona EP comes from Brooklyn based producer Cale Parks. Better known in the New York music scene as a professional drummer Cale has recently turned his hand to producing and off the back of some fine releases on HAKT (Have A Killer Time) , he has now found his way onto the Rothmans Teamsheet.
Track 1 - The Big Bust sounds like something you might hear as the opening to an Apparat album , the sweeping synths and beautifully scored piano remind me of the first time I watched Maradona leave Beardsley and Reid for dead in the centre circle of the Azteca Stadium on a hot evening in Mexico City.
Track 2- 9G steps up the pace a bit with a much more attacking Piano sound and darker synths that remind me of watching Diego charge right past Terry Butcher and storm towards the goal on that fateful night in Mexico.

The record is finished off with a banging breakbeat sounding remix by the delectable Eddie C that almost replicates the same energy, and kick ,as Maradona steaming into the box and beating Shilton to score the greatest goal in World Cup history.

All we can say is that Rothmans have delivered another masterclass of their own.

Damien Lynch enjoys countryside a drive in the twilight hour. This is his second offering for the ESP Institute. On side A, Brunette opens with a straight-ahead techno thump of hi-hats and a pulsating 16th-note bassline—a subtle playing field composed solely with a rare 1970's Italian machine, the Godwin Drummaker 32, unearthed from the secret back room of a music shop in rural Ireland where it hid among wonderful vintage Russian synths and oddball electronics. This elegant track drips with warm and phasing pads, gentle staccato keys and beautifully simple arpeggios that blur every now and then—all affirming Damien's less-is-more ideology. With side B's Forced Relax, Damien continues to exercise his restraint, arranging his instruments in a band-like fashion, affording each player the sonic space to project their individual qualities whilst supporting an overall dialogue. There is a soft ebb and flow to every machine's role, whether the swelling of bass or the interplay of percussive keys, but when these characters arrive in one place, the result is a tranquil euphoria. These two songs will accept you for who you truly are.

Sleazy McQueen, ne´ Laurin Fedora, has been one of the U.S.'s foremost purveyors of classic disco, fuzzy house, and funky edits for over a decade, so it's about time we bring him into the fold at LPH. Doing it in style and with a bang by delivering a package that includes two originals—the cosmic 'Huit Etoiles' and the bumpin' shuffler 'Galway Jam'—plus two remixes of the titular track, one by Kenji Takimi, best known as the founder of Japan's preeminent dance music label, Crue­L, one by Gerd Janson, the head honcho at Running Back as well as Lauer's better half in Tuff City Kids.

The Blah Blah Posse delivers once again another goodie bag of Balearic obscureness well worth checking out. 'Balearic Flame' is a chilled trumpet funker with that certain Herb sound in the mix - sounding like the missing link between 'Rise' and 'Rotation. Next up is a fave of Aficionado meister Moonboots 'Wateworld' - cinematic 80ties keys. Did anyone mention George Clooney is the Balearic Doctor of perfect new age sunset soundtracks for that Cafe Del Mar moment 'Mexodus' is a hard to find original from 1981 - comes across like a chanson meets French band Air.
Finally, the atmopsheric afro Cosmic funk stepper 'Buh Bak Ho' is full of jazzy keys and lovely savannah chanting.
Not much to say - Balearic Blah Blah is serious business for any collector of pure Mediterranean bliss. Don't sleep - limited 300. No repress.

Richeart is a young cat from Italy that's been doing his thing like he is from the D. He played these 3 joints to Jerome Derradji and after some finagling and editing, here's his first 12' for Still Music. It's dirty, raw and uncompromising. Just like it should be on any dancefloor.

An EP almost 5 years in the making, these tracks from Ron Basejam (of Crazy P) were some of the early inspiration for the launch of Razor-N-Tape and are finally getting their due on a slab of 180-gram wax! For our milestone 50th release we felt we needed to do something special, so with that in mind we present the return of Red Axes to Correspondant.
Way back in 2013 we were a new label, and they were a new face on the scene.
Their hit record 'Camino de Dreyfus' helped propel both the label and the artist in to the established figures that both are today.
'Avalon' combines everything that's good about the Axes, with their signature New Wave sound taking in the tropics, but skewed through a middle eastern kaleidoscope.
'Sequência Astronomical' is familiar territory to many Red Axes releases, but takes everything either deeper, darker, or weirder than they've previously ventured, showing the huge growth in their confidence in the intervening 3 years since their last Correspondant EP.

Vinyl collector, producer and resident DJ of CIRQ (one of the most influent underground club in Italy) Olderic is the man behind this fascinating EP 'Alma'. The A side is opened by the title track, which is nothing less than a banger built on purpose to create magic and panic on the dance floor. The dramatic melody break will take you on a journey, the gentle but effective bass and rhythmic patterns combination will shake your senses bringing you back to reality. On the same side Alma receive first class remix treatment by the drum master Christian Prommer who turns the original into a single breath race thanks to an irresistible rhythmical sequence arranged around the anthemic layers of the song. On the B side there is space for the intriguing interlaces and pulsating beats of 'Oasis', a luscious track with a sensual and misterious atmosphere that find emphasis on the remix by Engrave Ltd head Musumeci, who adds his own combination of twisted arpeggios and an outrageous bass line. Classic 1986 Original crossover Club hit Why Why Why by The Woodentops remixed for its 30th anniversary.
The Woodentops Why Why Why was in 1986 a floor filler In Ibiza played by DJ Alfredo and brought back to UK by the now super DJ's. It is for many DJ's, a career starter and pivotal record in the beginning of the club scene that gave us the Summer of Love in the mid to late 1980's. It was a live performance of a song played amongst electronic music in countless clubs around the globe.

Tonbe is back on his lovely label Disco Fruit with 4 new tunes, including one remix by well known Munich-based DJ and producer Alkalino. First tune on A side is Tonbe's powerful high-octane disco house tune with great bass guitar, clavinet and flute sections. This tune is definitely for the peak time wherever you play. Second tune on this side is remix by Alkalino who delivers other vision of this tune but with still energy as well. On B1 is "Feel The Night", one more big disco house tune from Tonbe who's already released on digital few months ago. Great vocal sample inside with bass guitar, guitar, string and disco tom sections....and last on B2 is Tonbe's classic disco track with wonderful string and lead synth.

The much loved and influential Future Disco series reaches something of a milestone with its next release: Future Disco 10 will round-up the long running compilation with an edition inspired by the many ups and downs that have befallen the dance world over the years. This series has, of course, played a large part inthe recent history of disco and has showcased the many exciting stylistic changes, evolutions and revolu-tions the genre has to offer. Future Disco 10is not the end, though, itis merely the closing of a chapter, and one that encourages you tolook back through the series and relive the many joys it has offered over the last seven years.From here, you can be sure that the label will only grow and continue to set its own agenda. Across 16 fresh tracks, a range of established artists and new comers contribute to the action, with standout moments from big name favourites like Pampa label boss DJ Koze, nu-disco don Tensnake, house hero Mar-quis Hawkes, the inimitable Paul Woolford and Metro Area's legendary Darshan Jesrani.
