Tact Recordings launch their new vinyl only sub-label 'Tactics' this November, with the first EP coming courtesy of Yard One, who deliver three excellently programmed cuts in the shape of 'Tactics Vol.2'.

Launched by Yard One, aka Jordan Bruce and Larry Jones, and Richard Fletcher (who produces under numerous guises including Adventures In Daydreams and Fletcher), Tactics is set to become the labels latest project with a focus on solely vinyl releases. Inspired by the 2012 Various Artists release 'Tactics Volume 1' on Tact Recordings, which featured productions from Isherwood (Sharingtones/Imprints/Lize Records), journalist Per Boisen-Moller, and label regular Luke Black, the sub-label is set to showcase a more stripped back and minimal side to the Tact Recordings family with releases coming courtesy of Yard One, Fletcher, Luke Black and their close friends only.

The EP opens up with 'Avenoir', a raw and hypnotic production that utilises a multitude of lasers, glitches and pops at the forefront to keep listeners firmly on their toes, whilst a delicate and captivating melody floats fluently amongst ever-evolving percussion shots and twisting bass licks below.

On the flip, 'Granular Movements' snakes its way through swinging drums and hazy, jazzy melodies to reveal an effortless rolling groove, before 'Hexad' keeps the focus on percussive elements strong, whilst a moody bassline goes to work under layers of meditative pads and subtle background nuances to punctuate an excellent debut offering from the label. Our philosophy behind this concept is that the focus goes to the tracks being timeless, and music that you can listen to in every time of day and night. Music that offers a vast variety, but in the end coming together in that sweet and warm morning glory.
Varuth by Olvap was definitely our first pick for the first track on this release. Warm and complex structure is something you will find expressed in all of his releases, especially with the track he presented on this release.
Holnap by Ztrl perfectly sits beside our opening track. Minimalistic beats and nice, smooth atmospheres really nicely round up the first side of this release.
Hoodwink by Jhobei stands strongly on our b side, with broken up beats and sweet atmospheric pads he surely deserves a place on our Sunday Mornings series.
Disperare by De La Munte is the final track on this vinyl release. A really special track, that has a very mysterious sentimental vibe nicely rounds up our fifth release.

Italian producer Alessio Viggiano has been knuckling down, with releases on some well respected labels, his music is getting noticed all over the globe. 'Where Is My Drink' demonstrates his sound perfectly, showing what he can do behind the controls.
Tomas Saenz and Rodrigo DP have also been turning heads internationally in the last few months. Both their solo works and collaborations with each other have been played at many a party. We are happy to have them join the family, with their track entitled '1212Y'.

Label head ADMNTi incorporates his skippy hats with some vocal cuts in his first track on the series. 'Clima' opens the B Side up for more of a London sound that continues with the last track on the release...
Jordan and Shai have been friends of the label for a while, and their productions have gone down a storm in London, Mannheim and various other cities. 'Vibrations' infuses garage sounds with modern house - a combination that can be heard on the duo's track 'Diversity' which featured on Entity:London's second release.

Tamango Records is the fresh newborn imprint from Berlin founded by Yaya. The name is inspired on the story of Tamango, the first African slave who fought for his freedom, which perfectly represents the no-boundaries style of the label.

'13k' EP is the debut release by the boss himself with a three-tracker banging release. He inaugurates the label with entitled '13k' which sees Yaya delivering a deep, tech and raw jam with a full-bodied kick mixed together with dry snares, thiny hi-hats, rattling percussions and some anxious vocal chops. The whole retro-sounding dimension is yield by rumbling brass shots, sensual synths and mysterious textures.

On the flipside, 'Delirio Habanero' is more about frenzy things. It's a direct and robust stripped back techno tool with an essential groove, SCI-FI atmospheres and an obsessive-delayed female vocal sample.

Last of all, 'Gente De La Calle' is another 909 rough techno tune. Starting with a standard 4/4 structure, the analogic and dusty bassline is joined by 90's housy synths and rhythmic shakers, creating the perfect crossover element.

As the summer closes and the autumn arrives the project releases its next selection with label boss Frazer Campbell and Dark Arts techno head Stu Crosbie. Not a stranger to the label having appeared on the previous release Stuart once again delivers his unique filtered sound of stripped back minimal techno with hints of trippy yet groovy influences of dark back room excursions. A real master of simplicity but exact definition of sombre sounds. The flip side presents a very different sonic description by Frazer. 'Bleeding gums' holds broken beat kicks with rolling drums but as always carries a true sense of emotion and warmth. The EP closes with 'Deebling mugs' which is a production full of drive, dirty basslines and groove that will keep any dance floor moving as we wave goodbye to the summer of 2017.

Engineer is a new vinyl-only record label from Moscow, Russia. It's minimal and deep techno, new school house and everything that would make you want to listen carefully while you're dancing to it.

Phuture Shock Excursions round up four artists for the next 'EXCURSIONS' release, which like the maiden 12' is another four-track compilation of genre-bending sounds. Representing this instalment is the ever-prolific bass music trailblazer Colin Lindo, better known as Nubian Mindz, Phuture Shock Musik mainstay Roof Light - who returns following his initial contribution to PSMEX001 two years ago, Graz's Simon/off aka Sun People under his latest alias Mighty Buha, and emergent Nottingham- based producer Cyclonix - who in the last few years has amassed releases on various labels including his co-owned End of Level Boss, Horn Wax, and Red Rack'ems Smugglers Inn.

All versatile producers in their own right, each contributor is given free rein to showcase an alternative side of their production repertoire across the EP's four distinct tracks, where some of the styles on offer are seldom heard in their more familiar work within the electronic dance music landscape.

Nubian Mindz leads the tracklist with 'Somebody Else', a deep gliding house cut that sees the veteran producer also take on vocal duties via his C.L moniker, and marks a full on deviation from the rugged, bass-heavy fare that he is renowned for. Next up, Roof Light ploughs a similar deep house furrow, but takes a more leftfield turn through a morass of hazy pads, stuttering vocal samples, and crunchy percussion over a crushed 4/4 groove with 'Hubble'. Flip over the plate and you'll find the sample trickery of 'Sunset' by Mighty Buha, who delivers an irresistibly funky disco edit that's guaranteed to ignite the dancefloor of any party. While Cyclonix wraps things up on a slower tip with 'On My Mind', which harks back to the classic sound of '90s downtempo - all bestrewn with mellow keys and soulful vocal snippets, complete with a broken beat rhythm that's reduced to a languorous tempo. Definitely one to wind down to on a lazy Sunday morning, following the post-raving blur of the weekend.

The tenth release of the Nottingham based, vinyl only Leftback calls upon the talent of the two label co-founders delivering four intimate and personal works culminating in a lucid, yet non-linear and highly evocative record.

Dudley Strangeways opening track 'Hallam' showcases acute sounds full of colour which introduce themselves along it's steady tempo. Once leaving these territories, Strangeways makes his way to a more nocturnal perspective with 'What's Wrong', shaped with metallic unceasing tones filled with dense, repetitive beats that replicate the sounds of machines, gears and obsessive patterns.

McLardy's tracks begin with the intricate rhythmic patterns of 'Uno' (one, the unity, the absolute), a mosaic that originates from a web of synth basslines alternating between simpler designs and complex inputs from beginning to end. Accessible without being conventional, this work reflects the Nottingham artist ability to slowly build up a sequence of convoluted trajectories.

'Prana' awakens a different world of perceptions and can be seen as a stand-alone work juxtaposed with the rest of the EP, the track develops across a calmer, slower bassline in stark comparison to the tempo of the other three tracks on the release. McLardy creates a dialogue between the incorporeal painting in the background and the fragmented, broken and divided beats that push the listener across the length of the track.

The mysterious Hyneah is giving his debut on Objektivity, coming with two original tracks and a stunning Andre Lodemann remix. Title Mami Wata has been premiered by André Hommen in his Boiler Room Berlin set and received a massive track-ID wave from all over the internet. The african vibe throughout both originals is coming even stronger on ‚Soak It' which includes vocals by the amazing Nonku. Last but not least, Andre Lodemann's remix is a masterpiece on it's own and completes the package perfectly. The vinyl has the exclusive Andre Lodemann Instrumental which is not available digitally.

'Sláinte' is the third vinyl release for German based label Samani. This EP's artists hail from all corners of Europe, bringing together an eclectic taste of deep minimal vibes.

The opening track entitled 'Cosmic Soul' offers a mixture of glitchy stabs, soft atmospheres and groove. The composer Alessio Viggiano has been putting in the work recently, and this demonstrates his effort perfectly.

'Sláinte', put together by Laughing Man and label owner F.eht follows, which is a definite leg shaker on the dance floor. Funk, skippy percussion, and a vocal sample from a very special lady.

On to the B side, which starts off with a strong track from Eye Deep Leez main man - Viktor Udvari. His sound have turned many heads lately, and this one is no different. His trademark sound flows perfectly with the EP - orchestrating dreamy synths with tight percussion and a lovely bassline.

Dimitri Monev rounds of the release with 'Surge'. This brings a slightly moodier vibe to the release, and shows what this artist is capable of in the studio. Keep your ears out for this one on the dance floor later on in the night...

It is very common to find them on all the most important house charts, with their releases on top notch labels such as Strictly Rhythm, Robsoul, I Records or Madhouse. After debuting on Cyanide in July with their awesome ep Freaky Deep Day', now is the time for a proper vinyl release.

Chains' defines what a house music piece should be. A solid funky groove, a fat bassline, subtle jazz arrangements and a catchy black voice, resulting into a catharsis of pure adrenaline and black sweat. The first remix comes by Matt McLarrie (Material Series, Younan) who has added a good dose of groove to the
already epic original track, obtaining a massive peak time bomb.

When we flip the vinyl, we find a superb remix by Dave Pad (Highway, Plastic City) who comes back to Cyanide, after his huge successful rework of Queemose Promise'. This time, Dave has joined his buddy Anjei, to delight us with a crispy piece of deep house, with a playful bassline and a subtle and elegant acid touch.

The icing on the cake, comes by the Spanish young talent Keepin' Soul (Pocket Money)...who has made an analog and raw dub version of Chains. So deep and fat that it hurts.
