Early May will see Mihai Popoviciu return with his second long player in the shape of the 'Home' LP on Bondage music, comprising twelve original compositions from the Romanian artist.

Mihai Popoviciu : "The album's called "home" because it is inspired by my experiences from my home city Sibiu in Romania. Home is also the place where the album was produced, in my stripped down studio. It is where I always return to rest and chill after touring the world and the place where I feel most safe and comfortable. The artwork shows an image of the airport lane in Sibiu with surrounding hills and mountains in the back. It is a metaphoric "gate" to both leave and return home."

Romania's Mihai Popoviciu has carved out quite the career over the past decade releasing material through the likes of Highgrade, Hudd Traxx, Poker Flat and Fear of Flying. Here though we see him deliver his second full-length album and return to Bondage Music following a single on the label back in
2013.

Across the project Mihai delivers his signature dance floor focused, stripped back style with records like 'ACK', 'Sandstone Folder' and 'Tentacle Operated' showcasing the hypnotic and percussive style
Popoviciu executes so well. The project also drifts into smooth dubby realms via compositions like 'Cannon Poets' and 'Sunshine' while the likes of 'Triumph' and 'Music 999' radiantly display Mihai's proficient production abilities as he wanders into a brighter more house centric sound.

All in all Mihai Popoviciu turns in a coherent long player whilst exploring a broad range of styles, 'Focus and 'Havana' lay down a groove-led feel with subtle modulations and an unfaltering structure, while 'Data On Data', 'Paranoia' and 'Hypnosia' tip the focus over to dark and brooding territories with murky synth pads and chuggy low end tones. Once again Popoviciu has proven himself to be one of Romania's finest electronic music exports.

Cakeman Records is a new record label created and curated by Dragos Ilici. The first release comes from romanian producer Teluric. "În Padurea Fermecata" means "in the magical forest" in romanian. Its name provides the track originality, and it piques curiosity. It is a trippy yet solid techno track, rich in atmospheres and pads, warm and intense in the same time.
"Magnetic Fields" is a stripped down dub techno track. Rolling hihats, a punchy kick drum that moves your body, and a classic dub techno stab combine in a simple yet groovy and effective track.

Catren hits the shelves with its second release, a 3-tracker slow cooked by Emi Nescu.We jump on this house & techno bandwagon with Maimultmodelat, a 12 minute piece stripped down to its hihat backbone, with the focus points centered here & there on the wobbly bassline and the sharp cut kicks. Ever impressing Romanian duo NTFO return to their Sintope imprint to deliver four weighty, original productions set for release on the labels vinyl series this July.

After bursting onto the scene in 2010 with the release of their first vinyl LP, NTFO have rapidly established themselves as one of Romania's top duo's amongst the nations ever expanding depth of top electronic talent. With their catalogue boasting releases on Diynamic, 20/20 Vision Editions, Gruuv, Objectivity and Bondage the pairing have caught the eyes and gained the support of key industry heavyweights and look set to continue the trend with their latest Sintope release.

'Fuel' opens the EP with an impressive arrangement of reverberating low end tones, crisp hats and snaking synth lines before 'Rush Over' switches up the aesthetic with it's offering of soft melodies, laid back grooves and shuffling drum licks. Third track 'Menduz Affair' then builds from a series of lo-fi glitches and pops, with punchy 4x4 kicks and an infectious low-slung groove line revealing a production aimed at the dancefloor. We are moving forward with new sounds this summer, and are happy to shed some light on our '4Plae Blanc' project. This series is geared towards slightly lighter vibes, and 001 will really set the tone for what is to come.

Hailing from the city of Bucharest, Nice ' N Trick have been earning their stripes over the past couple of years, which includes having works on labels such as Mulen, Heisenberg, Arupa, Baile Musik, Tzinah and many more. Their track 'Adiacent' delivers the vibrant sounds we love, brought together with tight percussion and warm soundscapes.

Another gem from Bucharest has contributed to 4PLVB001. Direkt has become a good friend of the label and we are extremely happy and proud to have him on board this release. 'Caries' is a bouncy and atmospheric track that delivers a solid analog sound - another factor we feel passionate about. No doubt this wont be the last you hear from Direkt in coming months...

Percival is also an analog head. This Detroit artist has bundles of musical knowledge and a love for many types of music. His track 'All Night' is a vocal orientated track with crisp hats and snares, and a pounding kick throughout - we love the mood this track set's at parties.

In the past few months, 4Plae founder ADMNTi and head honcho at Samani - F.eht, have formed a collective, FAT. Their remix of Percival's track sets a moodier vibe in comparison to the original, and wraps up the release nicely with evolving synths and techier sounds.

About a year ago Nico Stojan and Acid Pauli met at the studio to record some music. While doing so they discovered their common love for sample based production. So they were basically digging into old vinyls and eventually these three tracks came along. Nothing more to say, but enjoy. ‚Call of The Valley' is the first release on the new label Ouïe: There has been a shift in this tiny piece of massive world and, like all other shifts, they are documented by those who were there. Ouie is the label to do just that, created by the people who were there, making those shifts. It began when dancers old and young and in-between, began falling in love with a new kind of space: cool-like-lemonade dance-floors and the music that worked them - a kind of electronica that blurred the genres and removed the boxes that we once knew. Ouïe is the label where these tales will be told. Reading with your ears you will hear these stories from page one. You hear the artist's influences, the travellers they passed, the lovers they lost, the jungles, deserts and cities they crossed. We have started a new project from a new part of Finish Team Records only on vinyl. For the first release we have made a 4 track E.P. with the main artists of the label: Manu P, Andrea Rubolini, Aumrec & Gabriele Orsini. First track is composed by Manu P, and is named El Torito. Is the perfect track for the summer time, with a latin tech house with a huge bass and melodic voice, perfect for the middle of the night set. The second is a track by Andrea Rubolini (The Crowd), also here a huge bass during all the track and a melodic synth that characterized the track. The third track by Aumrec (Elonove), is more techno, with lot of strange and secret minimal part and a solid and fresh kick. Focused on the fundamental premise of 'positive energy' from established and newcomer artists alike, a quartet of tracks provides a cutting edge snapshot of the current house music landscape as 'Tulipe Ltd Bloom Series Vol.2' finds physical reality.

Opening with a French legend, Damien Almira takes his Timid Boy production moniker on a trip through a deep, tech-fuelled groove that pounds its way along a wondrous path in 'Post Rave Dream'. Filtering out into percussive textures and rich pads, both spin across the stereo spectrum in dizzying glory to mesmeric effect. Neapolitan, DJ Simi continues proceedings on Side A with the chugging, hypnotic monster, 'Advanz T3'. Rapid-fire hats and a dominant kick keep the pace high as percussive claves beat out a melodic refrain to match a analogue riff and pulsating, pitched pad.

Spanish duo Robin Orlando and Nick Hollyster open Side B with the delicious, laid-back 'Humita'. A simple and emotive bass line provides the backdrop for a smooth arpeggio to sit atop creating further layers of sonic ingenuity, while vocal phrasing from Christian Godoy contributes to create a house classic. Chilean, Larry Peters completes the picture with tech house monster that provides an eclectic mix of sampled effects and dissonant melodies on 'Orbit 4.0'. Laconic vocal phrasing provides a carefully placed rhythmic structure, wrapped around the structured beats to create a work of dance floor delight.

The A-Side or ( Tuff side) contains an unreleased special version of his infamous Intro's which has been sought after since the late 90s. For the second track, Karl Brown created a heavy, funky anthem called "So Good . This year's version of Steyoyoke's 'Couple Affair' features four tracks created by a combination of two of ve label members: Soul Button, Nick Devon, Dahu, Animal Picnic, and Ran Salman.

Soul Button and Nick Devon join forces to create 'Modus', a heavenly techno imprint of a never-ending climax.
