Italy's Katal who delivers three hypnotizing house tracks with British producer TIJN providing a remix.

Katal may be a newcomer but his accolades are continually impressive having released on the likes of Oblack, Isgud, Downhill Music and Roush. His next outing sees him arrive on Blind Vision Records for the imprint's second release following on from an exceptional debut from Juliche Hernandez.

Soft synths, intricate percussion and a lively bassline combine to form a low-slung groove in 'Diamond' before TIJN, who's released on Isgud, Overall Music, Decay and his own imprint In Haus Wax, then remolds the track by stripping it back and emphasizing ebbing pads and a composite rhythm. 'Room 201' is a mesmerizing affair featuring distorted samples, crunchy rimshots and deep chords before 'Transmission' concludes the package with syncopated drums and ethereal tones.

GERMAN HOT SHOT SABLE SHEEP IS NEXT UP ON THE FAMED DESOLAT X SERIES Bursting onto the seen in 2011 with releases on Moon Harbour, Be As One, and Defected Records sub-label DFTD, Sable Sheep has quickly positioned himself at the forefront of the new breed of electronic music producers. Hailing from Germany, Sable Sheep is one of the finest purveyors of dance-floor orientated underground sounds and it is with great pleasure that we see him release the Vagabond EP on the Desolat X series this May. 'Fallen Lead Showers' kicks off the EP with aplomb. Here Sable Sheep infuses a distinctive tech-infused psychedelic quality into the track from the beginning, which develops until a classic sample comes in alongside well-placed percussion flourishes which are sure to send the dancefloor into raptures. 'Vagabond From Hell' continues in a similar vein, energetic from the off, it features sharp percussion and deep elastic bass, with speckles off trippy sounds entering the fray. After the success of the first release, Hund Records is coming back with a huge Ep from a new young rising star of electronic music: Jerome.c. Already supported by tINI, Robert Dietz, Enzo Siragusa, Loquace, Seb Zito and more all around the world. Jerome gives us two dub tracks with a little flow on raw and alongside there are a remix from Dan Farserelli from the famous Fuse London Crew that hasn't need presentation, and Max J & Coockies, two other talented belgian guys.

CC DUST is a new duo from Olympia, Washington featuring Maryjane Dunphe and David Jaques. Channeling an elemental life-force hewn straight from the heart, Dunphe's voice bursts into every melodic line, a cracked, soulful instrument powered by conviction, duetting, duelling and dancing with Jaques' crisp production. A light that casts shadow, CC Dust is doomed, romantic music anchored by Jaques' live bass and the powerful performance values Dunphe has honed both in her punk group VEXX and in various film and performance projects. Musically, CC Dust's precedents might be considered the European synth pop originators of the early 80s, there's also an abundance of low-end hooks played on baritone and bass guitars that teases the ear like early New Order productions, but in Dunphe's passionate vocal performances there's a close-to-the-bone reality that bypasses cool detachment. Their self-titled debut explodes with Never Going To Die, an anthem for the seizing of the day, the rush of standing on the edge looking outwards, invincible. Tonopah slithers into view, Jaques baritone guitar weaving patterns around Dunphes voice before the emotion swells in the chorus. Baby Boy is decidedly more ominous, a slow burner that climaxes in an incredible falsetto performance. Abra is another high point, a sweeping waltz that spins the listener around into a tumult, a bittersweet accompaniment to the opening track. Mutiny feels like the end of a phase in your life "let's be rid of our obsessions, don't you agree" begs Dunphe, sounding as obsessed and passionate as ever. Munich based, Lisbon born, Lino Rodrigues, more commonly known as 'Alkalino', is the next artist on the quickly moving Italian Imprint DaBit Records. Here the Portuguese ex-patriot drops three tracks that traverse his musical output to date.

The title track, 'Feeling of Life' touches on the techier side of the house genus, a booming filtered bassline reverbs in and out of a spoken narrative by the dj, producer and owner of Intent Recordings Gene Siewing, whilst a driving, continuous beat pulls the track on. Probably the most peak time track on offer here.

Next up is 'Martin Luther King', which, surprise surprise samples the great civil rights leader himself. It has almost become a cliché within deep house to sample the Dr, but Alkalino manages to keep the spoken word to a minimum and heaps the emphasis on the musicality of the track.

The EP is rounded off by 'Isolation', the beat and percussion wouldn't sound out of place in a 'Future Sounds of London' track, if only sped up and combined with a few more rave samples, but instead they are pitched right down and complemented by a pad chord progression which works as the track's hook. A haunting vocal interlaces with the chords and bass to build an almost progressive track, a perfect way to end this EP.

Poker Flat continue their welcome foray into vinyl-only releases - following Kindimmer's fine Wax Substance EP - with four deep morsels from Pavel Iudin (or Paul Yudin, as he's occasionally known in anglophone circles.) Now respected resident at St. Petersburg's Stackenschneider club, Iudin has developed a real feel for deep, dubby dancefloor-oriented tech house. And Waxology is no exception. The title track is a luxurious meditation - layered, thoughtful with subtle builds and shifts. This is precision-engineered deep house, fine-tuned to send you into head-nodding ecstasy. A 'Tokamak' - for those who don't know - is a kind of experimental, Russian doughnut designed to confine plasma for nuclear fusion. In other words, it's futuristic, profound and utterly enveloping - which is exactly what Iudin delivers on this circling, bubbling groove. Meanwhile, the dubby foundation of 'Anchor' is contrasted by echoing chimes, crisp percussion and shimmering timbres that whizz in and out of earshot, while 'Charmel' is deeper still, a booming kick married to a sinuous bassline to fashion a heavy dancefloor stomper.

This record was written with the intention of conveying classic aspects of house music. Track names such as Paradise Garage', The Warehouse' and Zanzibar Club' come from monumental clubs that helped shape the history of House. Mulla blends old-school house and funky techno on Six Chapters, drawing inspiration from past musical experiences in his hometown of Amsterdam. Over the years, Mulla has become recognized for his residencies at prolific club-nights including Natives, Kreativ & De Nachtdivisie. Joppe Muller, aka Mulla, is also co-founder of the celebrated Nomads Festival, featuring legendary talents alongside local DJ heroes in the beautiful Dutch countryside each summer. Cristi Cons and Vlad Caia are household names that really need no further introduction. Their dj sets are techno stories well told and their live act is already making waves worldwide. Amphia is first and foremost the platform they use to broadcast their finest works. Such is the case of Sideways, their latest LP, containing more than a dozen tracks coming your way trilogy style.
The first part reveals six tracks on two heavyweight discs. Although most of the tracks fit the usual SIT musical approach, the listener is greeted with a wide pallete of rhythms. Assemble is an atmospheric dub infused with violins and orchestral echoes. Permissive starts things up with a playful bass progression and continues with lush pads and cryptic voices. Brooklyn's deep moody synths and monster groove render it broken poetry at it's best. For sure it will resemble those early danceable mornings. On a more joyful manner we are presented next with Bootcamp's sturdy baseline and playful modulated vocals.
Mandatory claims a whole side of the second disc and so does Come Around. While the first is almost experimental but danceable and warm due to the occasional driving percussions and 303 sounds the latter is the star of the show. Come Around is 15 minutes long and comes with a story too. A great collection of tracks, a great story that backs each one of them makes the first part of the Sideways LP trilogy a treat to listen and dance to.

Amphia celebrates its 10th release with a two-tracker EP from Cezar Lazar.

Both tracks reflect his signature sound, taking time to evolve into soundscapes that expand outside the familiar borders. The latin american influences embedded in "Choice Of Ancillaries" leave us hints of its vivid melody surfacing beneath its tight percussions. On the B side we find its darker counterpart, "Grounds And Shields", treating us with a more acoustic flow, sewn graciously around the incisive bassline.

London based punk duo Black Volume are not easy to classify.
Their delirious industrial post punk sounds at times like proto house and at times becomes some sort of mutant electro. Their B Series sound is made of a conglomerate of filthy percussions, unexpected samples and something with the appearance of melody, with a weirdly addictive result.
Black Rubber is James Brown wearing black leather at 40ºC (in the shade) while suffering a mental breakdown. Excentric melodies sliding down rhythmic dislexia. Negative Return blooms from an improvised beat with no traceable sequence, on top of which we find rubbery synth lines, creamy interferences and mysterious sampling, everything sounds like melting from old vhs footage
With The Future we enter a romantic dystopia. Sensual and passionate but equally crunchy, it rises up through cheap calculator arpeggios, pitched vocals and obsessive bass lines.
Streetfight evoques a desolate landscape, devastated and radioactive. Distant echoes from an extinguished human race that left behind only majestic rusty ruins.

Okain is about to unleash four brand new tunes on his forthcoming Upon.You-single 'Coma". With the title track 'Coma' our French friend masterly crafts an enthrallingly bouncy mother of a tune walking the fine line between House and TechHouse, serving swirling Hi-NRG synth modulations and super ecstatic vocal bits for those who like to get into the groove. Following up is 'Karma", a tune again well-balanced between the House and TechHouse side of things but clearly focusing on the deeper end of the spectrum. A Chitown-reminiscing phonk, stripped down production and an almighty Acid-line are the weapons of choice to hype the crowd right before floating synths really mark the point when things are about to get intense. Timeless as timeless can get and a future classic for sure. Finally with 'Untitled Three' things are getting a little techy for a reason. Banging drums, razorblade hi-hats and woodwork percussions are setting the pace for the ultimate seduction brought to you by Yello'esque male vocal bits, more Chicago referring basslines and on point chords reverberating and bouncing off each other into spiralling eternity.

Die Orakel presents two reinterpretations by Edward of Krautrock excursions - originally recorded by Harmonia and Brian Eno in 1973 and 1976. Harmonia is a Krautrock/Kosmische Musik group from Germany - formed as a collaboration of Michael Rother of Neu!, Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Möbius of Cluster 1973. In the same year, the song Sehr Kosmisch' was released on the band's debut album Musik von Harmonia". In September 1976 Brian Eno and Harmonia then collaborated and recorded Atmosphere' at the band's studio in Forst, Germany. However, the song was not released until 1997 as the tape was considered lost for almost twenty years. Who would be more suitable to remix original Krautrock material than Gilles Aiken, better known as Edward Considering his latest productions, Edward mostly works within house and techno templates while echoing Krautrock figures like Connie Plank. He is recognized for producing filigree club tracks that come with a spiritual edge. Over the years, this combination has made him a mainstay of Berlin's White label as well as Weimar's esteemed Giegling crew.

Lee Webster's Soul Reply EP kicks of the year for IUTSAN with two contrasting, yet seemingly connected tracks.
On the 'chocho' side you'll find 'Soul Replied' - a low slung love song with Moodymann-esque sampling and swung-out drums, dipping out occasionally as the female vocal comes in like a lullaby.
