JUNO & Jamek Ortega link up for ‘Deep Breath’ on Crosstown Rebels.
Following an impressive label debut earlier this year alongside Alex Wann on ‘Allo’, crowned Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune, Germany’s JUNO returns to Crosstown Rebels with ‘Deep Breath’ in collaboration with longtime production partner Jamek Ortega. Immediately drawing listeners into a hypnotic, percussive world, snaking rhythms and rattling cowbells build steadily beneath an atmospheric backdrop, before a commanding vocal emerges to anchor the groove. The release continues a relationship that has seen the pair produce across labels including Arodes’ Unreleased Records, Wired World, and more, as well as regular back-to-back performances. On the flip, ‘Sloppy Disk’ sees JUNO step up solo, locking into a driving four-to-the-floor groove where a rolling bassline provides the foundation for pensive chords to drift alongside subtle melodic flourishes, steadily expanding the track’s atmosphere before tumbling into a sweeping, cinematic finale.
JUNO has accelerated onto the scene with hits like ‘Last Dance’ on Magnifik Music and a Hot Mix for Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, firmly earmarking him as one to watch. Meanwhile, DJ/producer Jamek Ortega continues to connect with audiences worldwide with outings on Three Six Zero, MoBlack, Abracadabra, Madorasindahouse, and more, picking up heavy rotation from the likes of Keinemusik, Solomun, Tiësto, and Black Coffee. Here, the pair show no signs of slowing down as they join forces once again, stepping onto Damian Lazarus’s imprint and marking a major milestone in their respective trajectories.
A meeting point between Argentina and Peru, this new 7” connects two artists deeply rooted in the evolving language of cumbia. Pinchado, one of the early explorers of digital cumbia, and Tribilin Sound, known for his rhythmic collages shaped between tropical tradition and electronic sound, come together to shape a record where past and future move in sync.
Cumbia Ritual unfolds through a steady, hypnotic pulse, guided by repetition and subtle transformation. Its rhythm creates a circular motion that invites dancers into a shared flow, where time softens and movement becomes instinctive. Echoes of traditional forms merge with electronic textures, giving the track a sense of ceremony, a space where rhythm becomes connection and dance becomes collective experience.
Their reinterpretation of Chinito Rulo, originally by legendary Peruvian psychedelic cumbia band Los Mirlos, carries the spirit of the Amazon into a new sonic dimension. Warm melodies and flowing grooves expand into a deeper, more spacious atmosphere, blending psychedelic heritage with a contemporary dancefloor sensibility while preserving its organic essence.
Pressed on 7” via Little Beat More, this release reflects a shared vision shaped by travel, experimentation, and devotion to rhythm, where cumbia continues to evolve as a living, breathing force.
DJ Support: Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Rob Da Bank, Pete Tong, to remix plays from Above and Beyond, Cosmic Gate, Paul Thomas, Tinlicker and many more.
For the first time on vinyl, some of Grum’s successful tracks from when he first started with over 8M Spotify Streams including a Tinlicker remix who are selling out venues worldwide.
Since the release of DAMAGED in 2024, Michael Fiedler aka GHOST DUBS has been surfing intensifying waves of adulation, earning praise from such diverse underground legends as Justin Broadrick (Godflesh/Jesu), Regis, Stefan Betke (Pole) and Steve Von Till (Neurosis). With second album Oblique, his mastery of sculpting sound waves results in a spellbinding set of alien soundscapes: larger in scale, richer in tone and considerably more cinematic than its predecessor. Lower, deeper and moodier, its cloudy abstractions, shadowy pulsations and submerged rhythms find Fiedler reaching further into his own sonic void, crafting blurred melodies and addictive narco loops into something simultaneously heavyweight and hypnotic.
Lead single and album opener “Low Times” sets the atmospheric pressure to maximum, resembling a dream date between prime dirt-house era Andy Stott and Berlin dub-tech pioneers Basic Channel. From there, Oblique descends into a series of enchanting mood scenes: the furtive, balletic gyrations of “After All”, the haunting ambience and buried heartbeat throb of “Soft Collapse”, and the noirish atmospherics of “Blackout Dust”, which worms its way into the mind like some forgotten David Lynch scene. The spirit of reggae is more distanced here than on DAMAGED, but the ghost of Jamaican dub still permeates these foggy soundscapes, particularly on “Bombed Suburbs”, where Augustus Pablo-style melodicism is chopped, screwed and slowed into a magnetic lock groove.
Superficially minimal but maximal in its minute detail, Oblique is a record of contorted reflections, mesmeric echoes and tantalising audio mirages. By the vaporous mist of closing track “Almost a Structure”, obvious rhythm has been craftily filtered away, leaving a blurred and blunted residue full of mystery and implied narrative. Dense in the best possible sense and crushing when played loud yet equally potent played quiet, Oblique imagines dub techno burning its own rigid rulebook: sensual, funky and concussive rather than dry or alienating. Following Fiedler’s recent work scoring Sound of Falling, recognised at Cannes in 2025, Oblique finds Ghost Dubs shedding his influences and making it clear he has arrived at a sound entirely his own — essential deep listening and a bewitching dose of future shock.
Tronic has a 20-30 year long history with releasing melodic house and techno. While we opted for the more raw sound in the past few years, Christian wanted to go back to his roots and produce more emotive, groovy, and melodic house and techno again. Lamour Toujours is a progressive groover that has a disco-influenced bassline and adds an emotive chord progression in the break. We asked Argentinean legend Hernan Cattaneo to make a remix. As a long time supporter of Tronic we felt that he would be a great candidate for this remix. Hernan Cattaneo and Kevin Di Serna teamed up and delivered a stunning remix focusing on the melodic chord progression of the original! Italian maestro Gai Barone mutates 'L'Amour Toujours' into a stunning, mind-bending interpretation that proves his insane ability to rewrite the rulebook. Meanwhile, Colombian powerhouse Kamilo Sanclemente stays closer to the original, injecting a massive, chord-driven progression built to elevate any room. Three classy, high-caliber remixes. We're absolutely buzzing with this drop.
The mysterious Pirka Vinyl Cuts series continues, digging deeper into the crates to reframe the classics. This chapter presents four broken-beat interpretations, blending deep textures with familiar samples. Features sophisticated reconstructions of material by Telepopmusik, Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers and Limp Bizkit.
Big welcome to Time is Now for J Wax for a bit of a statement EP and I am coming out swinging here cos this is a really good record. There’s good, and then there’s this, the kind of good that stays good.
You know that feeling when something’s just right. When flow state becomes clarity. Well listening to this EP from J Wax gives me that feeling. This is proper Goldilocks business. It’s equal parts Gun Fingers and Loved up hugs. Just right.
By now we all know that something very special happens when Speed Garage collides with 1st wave UK Hard House - but - what makes this just right is that J Wax didn’t stop there, just like the Dutch 2nd Wave of Hard House he’s slid onwards into euphoric trance and oh boy am I here for it. In 1997 we got Double99’s Rip Groove and Nalin & Kane’s Beach Ball and for me this EP has as much in common with perfectly formed ‘97 Trance as it does with Speed Garage. Who says you can’t have it all!
We’ve been following J Wax’s output for years. He has been grafting hard. And for me he’s already firmly a part of the long lineage of globally significant Scottish party starting producers and DJ’s. So when we signed this EP to Time is Now I was gassed. Four big tunes. Sick EP. For me it’s crystal. J Wax is now a producer operating in rarefied air.
Run the Tracks….
A1. The dubplate of ’Peaches’ has been causing mayhem for a minute. Gliding in smooth before that big diva vocal screams down the bassline.
A2. J Wax tags in Edinburgh local RUA.DJ. The pair double up on ‘Shift’ for a slice of Trance infused but no-nonsense Speedy G. Reece bass & gun shots + bouncy synthline & ethereal chords. Lose it and yourself.
B1. ‘Soul Movement’ is a big room weapon. Serious levels on this one that leave no doubt - this is a producer at the top of his game, writing high energy weapons to destroy the dance.
B2. ‘Smokin’ is peak time bizness. Harder darker house with a diiirty dirty south vocal chop. This one is heads down & lock in…
Goldilocks.

Flowing effortlessly between atmospheric keys, fluid basslines, live instrumentation, and intricate rhythms, each track captures the timeless spirit of underground house music. The Rurals blend soulful expression with dancefloor functionality, creating moments that are equally suited to intimate listening sessions and late-night club journeys.
Here’s the first instalment of some fine examples, previously only available digitally!
Label co-founder CRYME releases his third solo EP on the Berlin-based imprint, paving the way for a new, more subtle direction. Across these four tracks we find the artist diving deeper into a sound he's been shaping over the last few months. More adventurous, experimental, still driving and dancefloor-focused. This one is for the early mornings at festivals - that moment when the sunlight starts to break through the fog and the night turns into day. From bubbly, techy and quirky minimal on the A-side to more dubbed and spaced-out cuts on the B-side with a more atmospheric feel. Overall complex music full of movement that's still easy to listen to but keeps the crowd moving.
Long time label collaborator and dub maestro Havantepe is back on Berg Audio with yet another journey into the deeper, more atmospheric shades of techno, unfolding across four timeless tracks. This release marks the highly awaited come back of the imprint’s “Monument” series, featuring a full cover designed by Juli Jah.
The debut 7" from Germany's MANOOZ's was a system shocker, now they follow it up with this 4 track EP of 80s sounding house with the lead track feat. none other than Chicago house legend ROBERT OWENS of FINGERS INC. Another dope 12" from STAR CREATURE and GLOBAL CARESS.
“Simply put, it’s unlikely we’ll encounter a mix that leaves a cultural footprint and defines the sound of a generation quite like Northern Exposure again. Both mixes are absolutely 100% astoundingly brilliant”
DJ Mag
“Their best-loved mix CD is a trippy traipse through the verdant world of progressive house, a genre with one foot in the rave and the other somewhere in the great beyond” Rolling Stone - The 30 Greatest EDM
Albums Of All Time
Originally released on 27th September 1996, ‘Northern Exposure’ is widely regarded as one of the greatest mix compilations ever made. Thirty years on, it sounds as vital as ever - a testament to the fearless vision that went into its creation.
At a time when DJ culture was still writing its own rules, Sasha and John Digweed pushed against the grain. Drawing on sounds discovered during early trips to America - from Rabbit in the Moon to Future Sound of London - they built something that prioritised atmosphere over dancefloor convention. DJ Mag panned it on release. History changed their tune.
Northern Exposure Redux marks the 30th anniversary with a definitive reissue of both original mixes. The CD version also includes a newly created ambient mix. Shaped by the spirit of Bill Laswell and Mad Professor, it explores the deeper, more hypnotic DNA that always ran beneath the surface. Northern Exposure Redux North includes classic tracks by Keiichi Suzuki, The Future Sound Of London, and Banco de Gaia. Northern Exposure Redux South includes classic tracks by Dope On Plastic, Pete Lazonby, and a newly recreated version of ‘Dark And Long (Dark Train)’ by none other than Darren Emerson himself. Both vinyl versions also include a download code for both the North And South mixes, as well as the individual tracks.
Jen Cardini & Shonky revive their 20 year old anthem August In Paris with remixes from Kasra V, Jennifer Loveless and Jump Source.
Originally released on Mobilee Records in 2006, Jen Cardini and Shonky’s record ‘August In Paris’ remains a defining statement from the minimal era. Ahead of its time upon release, the record distilled the genre to its essentials, bleeps, hypnotic grooves and impactful vocals, unfolding with the kind of restraint that continues to resonate two decades on.
To mark its 20th anniversary, ‘August In Paris’ returns with three distinctive reinterpretations from Kasra V, Jennifer Loveless and Jump Source plus a re-release of the original coming out on Jen Cardini’s formidable label Correspondant. As well as this Jen Cardini and Shonky will be playing an All Night Long set at Paris nightlife institution Rex Club on 29th August. Look out for merch on the night too.
Speaking about the project Jen Cardini discussed: “It is crazy to think this was two decades ago and that Shonky and I are still touring and sharing our love for music. For the anniversary, we decided to bring this special track to light again’.’
Each remix approaches the source material from a different perspective while preserving the essence of the original.
UK DJ and producer Kasra V leans further into the track’s skeletal framework, blending his signature sultry sonics into this hypnotic chunky groove to produce something entirely new but familiar.
Jennifer Loveless, an unearthed gem when it comes to production, strips things back even further, delivering a rough and tough uncompromising club version primed for sweaty dark dancefloors, it perfectly encapsulates the original without overshadowing it.
Closing the EP, Montreal duo Jump Source, Priori and Patrick Holland, take the record into more left of centre territory. Their version stretches the original into a warped, slow-burning electro excursion, perfectly suited to the blurred edges of the after-hours.
youANDme - pleasCycles EP Driven almost exclusively by a custom-modified Prophet-5 repurposed as a drum machine, youANDme’s Cycles EP pushes analog sound design into unchartered rhythmic territory. Almost every element on the record stems from this unique hardware setup, delivering a raw, hypnotic sonic signature. Vinyl Exclusive on this one, No Represses Planned.
Atlanta-to-Brooklyn producer & MPC renaissance man FUGITIVE ARTIFACT steps correct with a sharp 12" exploration of house music. "IN SERVICE TO THE JACK" pushes further into the outer reaches of deep house & timeless windy city jackin, weaving in cosmic keyboards, bubbly synths & warped basslines.
TEMU's g'd up boogie take on LOOSE JOINTS' Paradise Garage classic "IS IT ALL OVER MY FACE" has found itself rip-roaring back into print with a brand new pressing on 45, accompanied by a previously unheard instrumental version on the flip.
Cruising at the intersection of their classic deep house glide & dedicated jazz funk wizardry. Side A sports a lowkey mid-tempo keyboard affair, cut with an electro undercurrent while the flip presents an elegant piece of late-night dancefloor dreaminess with "PERFECT DESIGN".
Bruce Ivery returns to Stilove4music, and we couldn't be happier to welcome him back. A true master of his craft, Bruce has delivered some of the label's most celebrated releases, each one leaving a lasting mark on dancefloors around the world.
Born and raised in Chicago and a key member of the legendary Chuck Brothers collective. Bruce's reputation as both a producer and editor speaks for itself. His latest work, a release on Ryan Elliott's Faith Beat, is further proof of his talent. This new drop is no exception—it will have you questioning your own sanity.
It's disco time once again, and it's Bruce Ivery time on Stilove4music. We're beyond excited to share these tracks, designed to create mayhem on discerning dancefloors.
Layne & Chang might not be household names to everyone, but in the underground they’re long-established fixtures. Chang—who’s released music under a string of aliases over the years—was tipped by Urb magazine as one to watch back in the mid-’90s and has been embedded in dancefloor culture ever since. Alongside him, Layne Fox (formerly San Francisco, now back in Florida) brings deep disco credentials, having helmed the cult-loved Disco Dimensions label and recording as 40 Thieves—best known for the underground anthem Don’t Turn It Off. In short, the boogie lineage on this record runs deep.
And that’s before you even get to Dan Tyler. As one half of the Idjut Boys and co-founder of Noid Recordings, Tyler helped lay the groundwork for London’s edit culture long before it became a global phenomenon. His involvement here only strengthens the package.
“Shake Your Body” opens the release with a locked-in, funk-driven groove—swirling melodic lines, subtly acidic textures, warm vocoder touches, and tight, punchy drums all dialed for peak-time movement. On the A2, “In The Desert” shifts the mood into something more transportive: a hazy, late-night burner equally suited to open-air parties, after-hours sessions, or home listening with the lights low.
Flip to the B-side and Dan Tyler delivers two cosmic reworks that push things further out. Psychedelic, elastic, and built for serious systems, both cuts hit that sweet spot between heady and physical—already circulating among a handful of tastemaker DJs and primed for heavy rotation as festival season ramps up.
A strong, floor-ready release that sits comfortably in the Whiskey Disco catalogue—rooted in disco, but reaching well beyond it.
Malik Kassim aka Retromigration returns with the second instalment of his Choices EP series on WOLF Music. Four more tracks of finely tuned house music, building naturally on the sound and momentum of the first release. There’s a real consistency to Kassim’s approach, deep grooves, characterful production and plenty of detail, with each track bringing something different to the table without losing sight of the dancefloor. Another four-track 12” for the bag, and one that is built to stay there.

Creating an international name for itself over the past decade as a sample pack label, Samples From Mars made its inevitable venture into the music world originally as a home for founder Teddy Stuart’s work. Long before making samples, Stuart garnered credits working as a grammy-nominated recording engineer in the hip hop world, and DJing / producing with Justin Strauss as A/JUS/TED, for labels such as DFA, Domino Records and Southern Fried Records. Now the label is set to release a variety of genres - house, disco, techno, ambient, all with a vintage tinge and a focus on high quality, analog production.
Enter Salt Queen. Visual artist and musician Magali van Caloen together with Samples From Mars founder, Teddy Stuart. Based in New York, the duo combine hardware dance aesthetics with dry, salty takes on familiar club moments into music that sits somewhere between funny, raw and unpredictable.
Salt Queen’s debut ‘ARE U OK’ is an acid-laced, deadpan spoken word track with an opening line that snaps any room to attention. A disorienting club encounter unfolds over Italo-inflected 808s and a relentless 303 bassline. There are no chords and no melodies - just a skeletal groove and an intimate voice circling the dancefloor. Drifting between concern and provocation, the vocal runs through cliché club conversations before destabilizing completely into a siren-laden crash out. The ‘Freak Nasty Club Mix’ ditches the plot and lets the hardware breathe, with a thick SH-101 bassline anchoring the first half before a sudden switch into an unrelenting acid pattern that refuses to settle. Two versions of the same wild night out.
Early DJ support: Skream, Tino, Scuba , Pete Tong, Rampa, Asa Tate, Saoirse, Chloe Calliet, Make A Dance

The first A.V.N Edits release comes from the Florida based duo Luv Glissant. A.V.N Edits is an offshoot of new imprint Audio Visual Nootropics ran by luvcreatexplore. Cut at 45 RPM so the sound is nice and loud for the deejays. On the A side, "Bella" is a disco floor burner with some live vocals dubbed over the groove. On the B side, "Nariño Joe" is a late-80s salsa cut about getting knocked down and getting back up. Edited with love and already proven on the floor.
Next year the iconic anthem Cafe Del Mar will celebrate its 30th anniversary, a landmark that will be celebrated with a series of brand new remixes alongside the finest existing remixes in specially remastered versions.
Launching the series of vinyl releases in September is a remastered vinyl-only release of the original mix, as well as the best-known version of this classic track, the iconic Three ‘N One Remix.
Nearly 30 years ago, Paul M aka DJ Kid Paul recording as Energy 52 unleashed a record onto an unsuspecting public that would go on to define club culture for an entire generation of dance music enthusiasts. Named as an homage to the legendary Ibiza sunset spot, Café Del Mar broke down boundaries between the underground and
the mainstream, charting in the UK singles charts on three separate occasions and named as the “best tune ever” by Mixmag at the start of the new millennium. In terms of cultural and emotional impact in dance music, it’s hard to find a record that comes close.
Café Del Mar has come to represent the most euphoric and hedonistic pleasures of dancefloors - in Ibiza and all around the world - and has been remixed by some of the biggest names in the industry. Now, 30 years after its original release, Superstition Records will be putting out a new series of releases, with brand new remixes as well as remastered versions of some of the many remixes from across the last three decades. The vinyl-only remastered version of the original and Three ‘N One mixes will launch the series, with further details about the rest of the series announced in the coming weeks.
In 2021 Paul Van Dyk’s Café Del Mar remixes launched a series of vinyl and digital re-issues on the Superstition Records imprint after an almost 20 years hiatus. From 1993 until 2003 Superstition Records was a groundbreaking Techno, Tech-House and Trance Label and released some of the biggest and most revered records of the early German electronic scene.
BASHKKA releases CORE, her new four-track EP on fabric Originals, arriving 6th November. The project marks her first original release since her breakthrough 2023 EP Maktub, introducing a stripped-back, old-school electro sound that draws together the different influences at the heart of her music.
At the centre of CORE is “Surrender”, a track that reflects BASHKKA’s background in Ballroom culture alongside her German roots. Soulful vocal samples sit against crisp electro rhythms, creating a contrast between infectious club energies. Across the four tracks, the EP moves through hypnotic and deep rhythms, with soft vocal samples woven into stripped-back productions creating a sensual and immersive atmosphere throughout the EP.
CORE captures BASHKKA’s ability to connect different cultural and musical influences through a distinctly dancefloor-focused sound. Drawing on the rawness of classic electro while retaining the hypnotic quality that runs through her sets, the EP offers a deeper look into the sound and identity she has continued to develop since Maktub.
With CORE, BASHKKA enters a new chapter of her production career, bringing together her influences into a focused project that feels both rooted in her background and forward-looking in its approach to electronic music.
Eight years ago, a deep tragedy struck the West Coast and global electronic music world when Navid Izadi and his mother, Floria Hakimi, died in a plane crash in Southern California. Navid was a true rising star, as anyone who heard his earlier works or felt his magnetic stage presence can attest to, and we all mourn the loss of his creative gifts and one of a kind spirit. In the years that followed, through the diligent efforts of his cousin, Lily, and brother, Aden, Navid's destroyed laptop and hard drive were miraculously restored, recovering crucial files for his work-in-progress debut album, Ayande. Those files were then placed in the adept and careful hands of fellow studio maestro Dave Aju, to complete Navid's mission, along with a gathering of musical family collaborations throughout the wondrous LP
"Birds Of Prey" kicks things off, setting the scene with the deep, spacey, soulful feels Navid was well known for. It includes live drums by John Bryars and additional production work by Tavish DJ & Dave Aju (aka DX3) that send the otherworldly vocoder and arpeggios into the next dimension. Keeping the interstellar vibe high, Diagnostics/Escape" sees Navid take the Trans-LA Express electro flex a step further with cyborg vocals waxing love poetic, leading to an entrancing second movement to finish as an Escape, indeed.
"Andromeda" follows with excellent updated production work by Charles Levine of Soul Clap/Crew Love fame, along with harp bliss from Caroline Campbell, vocal chorus duties by Ayako, Jackson Englund, and Shuggie Quezada, with some bonus piano plot twists and turns from Rodney of Elbow Grease.
"Islands" is an irresistible West Coast boogie jam of the highest order, with the gorgeous lead vocals of Angelica Bess blessing the floor-filling piece perfectly.
"Chica Go,” as the title implies with a wink, functions as a beautiful homage to the windy city, which tactfully ropes in not just deep house flavor but also hip hop via a couple of witty Nav freestyle verses, as well as Chicago blues and jazz motifs via harmonica and trumpet stylings by Matias Tasley and Greg Paulus, respectively.
"IMX" acts as an excellent mid-tempo interlude piece, with bonus hypnotic production by former studio mate and fellow Cali to Berlin brethren Lando Roy, before "Keep It Movin" sends us through the stratosphere complete with a trippy narrative intro by Nima Barsarani and soaring build-up to bridge vox by long time collaborator Sammy D of Pillowtalk. The family collabs continue at scorching temps on "Space Race" where Jesse Rennix lays down beyond heavenly vocal layers, and other other studio sistren Dina Moursi then drops an emotive posthumous duet on "Fingertips" with Paulus again tying lovely horn ribbons in.
"Stardust" launches straight into the cosmos with crisp co-production work by C-Love and appropriately free vocal finesse by Sisters Of Z, before Navid's brother Aden Hakimi offers up a stylized lyrical intro to the new jack-shouting production-prowess touting "Mm Mm,” followed by the grand finale "Never" which flows to a finish lushly with sultry Navid vox, classy harp touches by Campbell again, along with guitar by Chase Aldridge, E-Bow by Cole Odin, and very special guest flute blessings by King George of Sade fame.
Executive produced and mixed by Dave Aju at the Point Winona Sound Labs studio in LA, mastered by Thomas Baanks of Psychemagick, with album cover artwork hand-bedazzled by Sundeep Grewal and package design by Lando Roy,
Ayande (meaning Future in Farsi) is equal parts an incredible debut album and a true family affair tribute to one of the most inspired creative souls we've ever known and so dearly miss. It is dedicated in full to his beloved son, Tesla.

Take a look at the sonic landscape of club culture today and Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy stands out as one of the pioneers on many fronts. Whether she’s dropping Cosmedelica remixes on her Love Dancin’ sound system at We Out Here festival, hosting listening sessions for her hugely influential Classic Album Sundays, or telling Turntable Tales for BBC’s Radio 4, she has created new avenues for experiencing music and thinking deeply about how it affects us and our communities.
· So here we are at ‘Volume 5’ of this series that once again captures Colleen’s unique take on Balearic. “Anger is Divisive,” runs the spoken word sample weaved into the pastoral ambience of ‘Quiet Storm’ from Sewell and The Gong’s ‘Patron Saint Of Elsewhere’ on Chris Coco’s DSPPR label from 2025. It’s a fitting opening to a collection put together with and for love.
· Born from the same lockdown isolation as ‘Balearic Breakfast’, ‘Fruits of Life’ from Sakura Murakami’s 2020 album ‘Hot Liquor’ offers a Tiki flavoured cocktail of tropical psychedelia.
· Digging deeper into her crates, Colleen then uncovers Flayer’s ‘Wanna Get Back Your Love’, a slow and sleazy piece of cosmic soul from Italy in 1983.
· Richard Earnshaw’s ‘Rise’, featuring Roy Ayers and spoken word artist Ursula Rucker, was hidden away on his only album from 2019.This slow jazz infused groover proves to be the perfect segue record as the collection hits the dancefloor with the Spiritual Life style deepness of ‘Ore Yeye O’ by Moroccan house producer Cee El Assaad and vocalist QVLN (Quetzal Guerrero).
· We then return to spoken word with Joshua Idehen’s diasporic club anthem ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’. You’re in it deep now, head down next to the speakers as The Seven Ups bring you ‘A Cosmic Scale’, a heavy slab of psych rock meets Afrobeat by way of Melbourne. We then take a trip over to Sheffield where Richard Barratt under his Crooked Man alias reunites with his dance music subverters All Seeing I for a wonderfully skewed mutant disco classic.
· Bringing things down gently with the sun kissed 1980s soul of Lovetempo ft Wattison’s ‘Wanna Be With You’ (ft. Mattison) out of Brooklyn, Colleen eases into the perfect exit to her eclectic journey with Santana drummer Michael Shrieve joined by Kevin Shrieve and the great Klaus Schulze for the Berlin new age cosmic epic from 1984, Transfer Station Blue’. Music for the head and feet brought to you with love by one of our masters of sonics and selection.
Tour-Maubourg opens a new chapter with Alone Together, his own imprint created to explore multiple aliases and sonic directions under one creative umbrella. Inspired by the 90s classic house north american scene (MAW, Glenn Underground, Strictly Rhythm, Nu Groove, etc.), the label's first record, "It's Time EP", fuses Tour-Maubourg's classic signature sounds, jazz chords, MPC grooves, organic musicianship, and carefully chopped vocal samples in an old school and club-focused aesthetic.
Ron Trent remixes (vocal and dub!) of early 2000's Japanese house project Two Faith. One track per side and pressed at 45 RPM.
Two Faith were a short-lived Japanese house project and hidden away on their only EP was two Ron Trent mixes of '現在 / The Current'. Now reissued and each 9+ minute track given a side each and pressed at 45 RPM.
Coming off a serious drop as of the DISCO FIEBRE duo, MEMORY LOUNGE makes his solo debut on CUENTO DE NUNCA ACABAR with fresh edits of classic Mexican funky disco, tailoring OG infectious percussive grooves, sizzling brass, & driving bass for maximum impact on modern sound systems.
There are streets we know by heart, every wall and every crack etched into memory.
That kind of intimacy can only be earned over time, through repetition and a deep
attachment to the things we hold closest.
“Can You Feel It” belongs to that rare category of records that time has made sacred. Yet
even after all these years, it still has more to reveal.
The New York Dub revisits the original through the haze of a nearly forgotten era, when
the hypnotic pull of the night was all that mattered. Elsewhere, the Underground
Resistance remixes offer a tougher, uncompromising reinterpretation, stripping the
record back to its raw dancefloor essence while preserving its soul.
These remixes reveal the record from an almost forgotten angle. A rare opportunity to
rediscover something cherished without diminishing the memories it carries...
Thanks for waiting - we’re finally taking flight. Over a decade into a career that’s seen her ascend from regional club music ambassador to one of global dance music’s most recognisable figures, UNIIQU3 today announces her debut album, ‘Mass Appeal’.
Trailed by this year’s trio of singles ‘Mile High Club’, ‘Calling My Name’ and ‘Papi’, the album is an international affair that reflects UNIIQU3’s globe-trotting approach to dance music, and toasts the relationships she’s formed along the way. As ever, though, it’s her distinctive vocals and production that tie the album into a cohesive whole.
UNIIQU3 has always enjoyed a close bond with the UK, and that’s reflected here: Samurai Breaks, Sam Binga and Karma Kid contribute production, while the US’s rich club lineage is represented by Spank Rock, Leonce and Cakes Da Killa. Further afield, there are collaborations with Melbourne hit-maker Swick, Franco-Congolese duo Tshegue, Korean vocalist BÉBE YANA and Rio funk fixture Leo Justi on the aptly named ‘Jersey Baile’.
First emerging in the early 2010s, UNIIQU3 quickly became one of Jersey Club’s key names via a flurry of original music, DJ mixes and live shows - picking up support from dance music’s headliners and tastemakers alike. In 2021, she released ‘Microdosing’ and her ‘Heartbeats’ EP, a one-two punch that broke her beyond the club circuit. ‘Microdosing’ was a double first: UNIIQU3’s first record playlisted on mainstream UK radio, and the first Jersey Club track ever long-listed for a Grammy. The campaign saw UNIIQU3’s face everywhere from Times Square billboards to the front cover of DJ Mag, while the music soundtracked fashion shows from Versace and Fenty.
The years since ‘Heartbeats’ have seen UNIIQU3’s status continue to soar: touring with Tinashe, opening for Beyoncé on her Renaissance world tour, going platinum as a co-writer for Chloe and being sampled by Doechii, all while taking club music to new territories through a relentless live schedule. ‘Mass Appeal’ marks the next chapter in this extraordinary story - buckle up.
