WHODAMANNY - Obsesión / Corazón Caliente
BLB1156
Biloba
12inch21.10.202621.OCT.26

HouseItaloPop

The high-energy momentum continues with Whodamanny’s new double single on his own Biloba Catalogue. Capturing the post-summer ache of an obsessive love, "Obsesiòn" channels that deep-rooted Southern intensity, where obsession isn't a flaw, but a vital, positive drive to love endlessly. Turning up the heat, "Corazón Caliente" hits with a raw, sweat-soaked proto-house rhythm and heavy workstation brass stacks built to set hearts on fire. On the flip side, both tracks receive DJ-ready treatments with the specially named dub version "Dub Pasión" and the instrumental take "Sueño De Verano."

YUKA MIZUHARA - MOON DUST
RHM050
Rush Hour
12inch13.11.202613.NOV.26

PopDisco

DJ, model, artist and selector Yuka Mizuhara steps forward with her standout 12-inch release 'Moon Dust' on Rush Hour. For her debut release, she joins forces with producers Benedek and Mickey de Grand IV (Psychic Mirrors), delivering a vibrant boogie and city pop-influenced transmission that bridges contemporary rhythm with classic, sun-drenched grooves.

Having spent formative years immersed in the underground music scene in Tokyo, with extended stays in Los Angeles and London, Mizuhara channels a rich blend of influences into her work. Known widely for her encyclopedic all-vinyl DJ sets, her residency on NTS Radio (Wave Flower), and high-profile collaborations with legends like Haruomi Hosono, Yukihiro Takahashi and Towa Tei, her musical output reflects a deep appreciation for groove, melody, and rhythm, carrying the torch of foundational Japanese techno-pop, experimental, and dance music forward.

On Moon Dust, Benedek returns fully to his signature West Coast boogie roots, laying down rolling, intricate synth basslines and melty chord progressions that form the heavy-grooving backbone of the record. Around this foundation, Mickey de Grand IV and Yuka Mizuhara write and weave extraordinarily catchy, endearing vocal melodies and hook-laden arrangements. Across its three distinct mixes, the track radiates Yuka's cute spirit—evoking a bubbly, high-spirited aesthetic reminiscent of classic 80’s RAH Band productions while blending sophisticated electronic arrangement with warm, organic dance floor vitality.

Fully stepping into her own as a recording artist following recent debut performances at major festivals like RDC and Rally, Yuka Mizuhara invites listeners into a romantic, synth-laden world built on pure groove and creative freedom.

He's back once again is Monsieur Van Pratt with more of his so-wrong-they're-right disco edits. This fight volume has two edits reshaping source material with the usual deft touch. His opener 'Linda' runs on clipped drums, tight bass loops and bright string stabs then 'Oye Un Momento' keeps its original vocal but reinforces the groove with heavier kicks and 'El Ritmo Que Te Atrap' has a kitsch Europe feel. On the flip, Disco 86 shifts towards something classier with 'Crees Que Soy Sexy' riding lush chords and plenty of glistening melodies drawn from the Rod Stewart original and 'Tu Amor' is packed with electric vocals and retro future keys for a full send finish.

@ - AUTOSMILE
IN291541
4AD/BEGGARS Group
12inch21.10.202621.OCT.26

PopRock

Songs wie "I Know You Are (But What Am I Thinking)" feiern die Schönheit von Veränderung und Vergänglichkeit, während "Punish My Mind" das Spannungsfeld zwischen Selbstbestrafung und Selbstfürsorge auslotet.

Allison Graves - I Still Look For The Mountains
IMPREC537LP
Important Records
12inch27.11.202627.NOV.26

PopFolkIndie

Allison Graves is the work of a singer, songwriter and naturalist from New England who has created a powerful, breathy debut that sounds aged and well loved, like an old home, with dogs barking in the background and kids playing in the yard. Allison Graves' rich sense of melody and harmony underscores the depth of the work.

Written and recorded across six months and two coasts, with a secondhand guitar and a broken laptop, I Still Look For The Mountains draws inspiration from many wells including Adrianne Lenker and Bon Iver. As if this debut was a long lost reissue from Joe Boyd's Witchseason catalog, this album is reminiscent of Nick Drake and Vashti Bunyan. Highly recommended to Imprec fans of Kurt Weisman, Diane Cluck, James Blackshaw, Kimya Dawson, Asa Irons/Swaan Miller.

Opening with a brassy modular synth sequence and layered vocals, Allison Graves immediately establishes a vibe ever-present throughout I Still Look For The Mountains. With songwriting that pins down big, all-encompassing feelings, Allison Graves makes sense of the profoundly unexplainable joys and sorrows of human existence.

The Lost Hotsound Release… 40 Years in the Making

Some records are forgotten. Others become legends before they even get released. Back in 1985, two pioneers of the Dutch electronic dance scene, Michiel van der Kuy and Peter Slaghuis, joined forces to create Space Dream during the sessions for the now-cult Hot Dance Party compilation. The track was destined for its own 12-inch release on Hotsound Records, even receiving a catalogue number, 850122. But somehow, the record never happened. The music remained an unfinished demo, locked away for over four decades. Until now!

More than 40 years later, Space Dream finally gets the vinyl release it always deserved. A.P. Mono has carefully completed the original recording, preserving its authentic 1985 sound and bringing this long-lost piece of Dutch electronic history back to life. But the story doesn’t end there. When Michiel van der Kuy heard about the project, he decided to jump back into the spaceship himself, producing a brand-new, contemporary interpretation of his own creation. Joining forces with A.P. Mono and Orbital Force, the result is a four-track journey through the universe of spacesynth: the original version that arrived over 40 years late, plus three fresh, high-voltage reworks.

For the die-hard Hotsound collectors, the Laserdance devotees, the admirers of Michiel van der Kuy and those who still cherish the legacy of Peter Slaghuis, this is something special. A missing chapter of Dutch electronic dance music finally finds its way onto wax. Four cuts packed with cosmic synth lines, driving electronic rhythms and that unmistakable 80s DNA. Made for vinyl junkies, Italo-wave selectors and DJs who love their dancefloors somewhere between vintage space disco and modern electro. 1985 called. The future finally answered. Space Dream has landed. Forty years late. Right on time.

Product Info:

BICEP announce their long-awaited third studio album ‘SLUG’, out January 29th 2027 on Ninja Tune. Its 18 tracks move between rave, breakbeat, vocal-led material and ambient soundscapes, spanning the full breadth of BICEP’s sonic DNA. ‘SLUG’ is firmly rooted in the unmistakable BICEP sound, while also seeing the duo broaden their musical palette, pushing familiar DNA into new territory.

The list of artists featured across ‘SLUG’ is their most expansive to date, and includes Clark, Eartheater, Lauren Duffus, George Riley, SOARR, Saskia, Kehina, KUČKA, Sassy 009, Rowena Fysx, Julia Kent and Zosia Jagodzinska.

The album’s title was inspired by the stark contrast between the land slug most people immediately picture and the extraordinary colours and shapes of their underwater counterparts. At the heart of ‘SLUG’ is an invitation to look beyond first impressions.

That sense of duality shapes the writing and production. Clean drum patterns were distorted; pristine vocals pushed through analogue processing; soft synths placed against rougher textures. Long-standing BICEP hallmarks of melancholy, euphoria and emotional resonance were pushed further. As BICEP explain: “It’s about putting conflicting feelings together because they become bigger and richer next to each other.”

After stepping away from the road, BICEP immersed themselves in their archive, returning to old demos and techniques they had experimented with 10 or 15 years earlier. They began reassessing what they considered fundamental to the BICEP sound. In a new studio with a custom vocal booth, they developed the tracks alongside their collaborators, with songs often ending up somewhere very different from where they began.

‘SLUG’ is a record intended to reveal itself differently depending on when, where and how it is heard, offering new details with repeated listening.
