Thirty years ago, his rumbling bass-playing defined the sound of Public Image Limited, and since then he has used his love for dub reggae to transform anything from avant-garde jazz-rock to English folk songs. After being influenced by his wife, Zi Lan Liao, an exponent of the guzheng (Chinese zither), he turned his attention to far eastern styles, with startling results. This album is a brave experiment in east-west fusion; yet it's also a typical Wobble album, thanks to that distinctive bass work and echoing dub effects, and the refreshingly rough-and-ready production.  The album represents a cross-cultural collaboration between Wobble and a 22-piece outfit consisting of Mao and Tibetan ethnic musicians and dancers, Sichuan opera mask changers, and an Anglo-Chinese dub band.

Truly one of music's modern fairytales following his signing with Ministry of Sound after just two tracks, Louis has flown from the back-alleys of Kirkby in Liverpool and a heroin-addict father to working on his debut LP in Nashville, Teenessee.

SYNTH SISTERS are a synthesizer duo comprising of Rie Lambdoll and MAYUKo (also known as CROSSBRED) and based in Osaka, Japan. SYNTH SISTERS debut album "aube" was released privately by the group on a limited CD in 2014. MAYUKo passed a copy to 17853 label boss, Shimuzu, and he was knocked sideways by their unique music - hence this vinyl issue was born.

Like a female Tangerine Dream A womanly twin incarnation of Terry Riley The duo create deep psychedelic synth drone, recorded live, totally free and improvised using five synthesizers, their own voices and effects. Underground go-to engineeer, KABAMIX, is on remastering duty - giving it a strong re-EQ for the album's first vinyl issue. The project is dedicated to deceased noise artist Akifumi Nakajima a.k.a. "AUBE", who past away in 2013.

Early pioneers of the German New Wave music scene, Din A Testbild were formed in 1978 by Mark Eins and Gudrun Gut (former member of Einstürzende Neubauten, Mania D. and Malaria!). Din A Testbild played a significant role in defining the avant-garde music of Berlin. Legendary is their partecipation at the Festival Genialer Dilletanten" in 1981.
'Programm 2' is their second album mixed and produced by Klaus Schulze on his own record label Innovative Communication in 1980, Programm 2' was a favourite in the playlists of the Italian cosmic dj heroes Daniele Baldelli and Dj Mozart.

Agipunk is stunningly happy to announce the repress of one of the masterpieces of the early era UK crustcore. Phonophobia is a record that inspired thousands of dirty punks all over the world, and having the chance to re-release it is such a honour for us. I don't think we need to introduce this record and this band to any of the people who are reading these lines, but a few words are necessary to explain the value of this product. Phonophobia has originally been recorded and mixed at Southern Studios in London in August 1991. This version has been remixed and remastered by Dean Jones and Phil Vane with additional production at Springvale Studios in Ipswich in October 2009. The Buggles were an English new wave band formed in London in 1977 by singer and bassist Trevor Horn and keyboardist Geoffrey Downes. "Age of Plastic" is the bands debut album origianlly released in 1980. They are best known for their 1979 debut single "Video Killed the Radio Star" that topped the charts in 16 countries and is featured on this very release!

After all the accolades from press and peers, what's a legendary band left to do Rent out an abandoned office space in the middle of the desert in New Mexico in lieu of a regular recording studio, go in with little or no preconceived notions of what would happen, set up, plug in and get loud! After seven days Deerhoof had found (you guessed it) The Magic, a raw and refreshing wallop of an album about leaving your comfort zone and finding a pineapple.

With The Magic, Deerhoof dreamed up an alchemy of '77 punk, pop, glam, hair metal, doo-wop, hip hop, and R&B, late-night car rides, long days, spandex, shadows, and attitude. Poetry into noise, volume knobs into pleasure, friendship into rock band.

Unreleased version of  'You Don't Love Me' with Where Were You' on the B-side available on Gloria Jones' newly formed Light Of Love Wax Company label. Gloria has been working in Western Africa to build schools for Music and Film. Please support the cause through this limited release. The colors for the record were inspired by the New Jersey flag, the home state of the group.

Worth noting - this recording of You Don't Love Me is the original Venture Sound Studio Mix by engineer extraordinaire Tony Bongiovi - recording engineer on hits from Sinatra to Striesand. It features a guitar intro played by writer Robert Paladino that does not feature on the widely heard release. This is truly a one off!

Songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, orchestra leader, digital mixologist, and filmmaker: Kutiman's job description changes by the day. He's been dubbed the prestigious title of being a 'psychedelic funk architect' -- A title Kutiman truly lives up to. But while he may be too modest to agree, everything the talented musician does comes under one general description: pioneer.
Many know Kutiman for his tremendous and innovative YouTube mash-up project, ThruYOU, while others may recognize him for his 2007 acclaimed jazz/funk self-titled debut album, or from his honorable mention in TIME Magazine's 50 best inventions of 2009. This recognition has led to Kutiman performing at YouTube's launch exhibition at The Guggenheim museum in New York City, and to a second ThruYOU series in 2014. Over the past few years, Kutiman has travelled to Krakow, Jerusalem, Tokyo, Riga, Istanbul, Tel Aviv and New York, to create original audio/visual montages of each city's atmosphere.

Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Red Hot Chili Peppers return with the new single 'Dark Necessities' which is released around the world today.

The track is the first song to be released from the Los Angeles-based band's upcoming 11th studio album, 'The Getaway', due from Warner Bros. Records on June 17th. The album was produced by Danger Mouse and mixed by Nigel Godrich. Red Hot Chili Peppers' previous album, 'I'm With You', was released in 2011 and topped the charts in 18 countries.

One of the most successful acts in rock history, Red Hot Chili Peppers, which is singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith, and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, have sold more than 60 million albums, including five multi-platinum LPs, and won six Grammy Awards, including Best Rock Album for 'Stadium Arcadium', Best Rock Performance By a Duo or Group for 'Dani California', Best Rock Song for 'Scar Tissue', and Best Hard Rock Performance With Vocal for 'Give It Away'. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2012.

Dragnet is arguably The Fall's best-known album. With the departure of Martin Bramah after Live At The Witch Trials, the band underwent yet another lineup shift in late 1979. Marc Riley switched to guitar and Steve Hanley joined on bass; the latter's signature basslines would become a major part of The Fall for the next two decades.

Opening track "Psykick Dancehall" strikes like an elusive, working-class anthem with its bouncy tempo changes and Mark E. Smith's unfiltered vocals raining down on the dance-floor. "Dice Man" takes its direction from disheveled beats, stuttering lyrics and asymmetrical phrasing. Somehow Dragnet manages to be even more lo-fi than The Fall's debut, yet reveals a cohesive sound and fierce songs that would further build the band's cult following.

The first full-length album of The Fall, Live At The Witch Trials, is not actually a live album. Emerging out of a two-day studio session at Camden Sound in North West London during a sickly December of 1978, Witch Trials amounts to the sinister foundation of the band's diverse sound. Every song explores drastically different styles and wild terrain, leaving much to decipher over its eleven tracks.

"Frightened" has magnetic attraction / repulsion that shifts between Martin Bramah's skeletal guitar, Yvonne Pawlett's plastic keyboards and the lurching rhythm section of Marc Riley and Karl Burns. Mark E. Smith's mesmerizing bark and eerie lyrics warp the cosmic context with each repeated non-chorus. "Rebellious Jukebox" takes yet another turn and showcases the band's more melodic leanings.

One gets the sense that The Fall are in a time-travel hallucination (from 19th century witch trials to a scathing critique of the late-70s punk scene) where the band's snot-nosed scrabble afflicts the shape of pop to come. As Smith dictates, "We are The Fall, northern white crap that talks back."

Blossoms brand new track 'Getaway' will be available to buy on 10" on 3rd June through Virgin EMI Records. The five-piece band from Stockport started 2016 by coming No.4 in the BBC Sound Poll. The new single, 'Getaway', follows on from the bands impressive EP 'At Most A Kiss' which went straight to No.1 in the iTunes chart. The title track from the EP was on the A-List at 6 Music as well as the B-List at Radio 1 and Absolute radio and the daytime playlist at Radio X.
The new song was recorded at Parr St. Studios in Liverpool with James Skelly and Rich Turvey. The single is Blossoms at their most majestic yet bittersweet - a pop song for the ages. 'Getaway' will also be available on 10' vinyl, which will include B-sides of 'On The Beach At Night' and the band's cover of 'In2' by WSTRN. Blossoms have just completed their biggest ever UK tour which included sold out shows at London's Scala and Manchester's Albert Hall. The band will be performing at various festivals throughout the UK this summer including appearances at Glastonbury, T in the Park, Reading and Leeds, Parklife, Kendal Calling, Festival No.6 and more. 1979, kurz nach der Auflösung von Can, veröffentlichte Holger Czukay "Movies", sein zweites Soloalbum nach "Canaxis 5" (1969). "Movies" scheint eine logische Konsequenz aus der Affinität für Filmmusiken, die schon seit der "Soundtracks" Compilation (1970) die Geschichte von Can begleitete. Kula Shaker are best known for the 1996 multi-platinum 'K', which became one of the fastest selling UK debuts ever. The band soon followed up with their second album 'Peasants, Pigs & Astronauts' and after a six-year absence Kula returned with the brilliant album 'Strangefolk' in 2007 and in 2010 the band released their fourth album, Pilgrims Progress to critical acclaim but the Kula Shaker story doesn't end there... Zusammenarbeit wie am Schnürchen. Den Titel wählten die Jungs aufgrund der begrifflichen Mehrdeutigkeit,
wie Chris Bainbridge erläutert: "Medicine can be different things to different people; it can be good, bad,
drugs, a cure, the answer or the problem.

behandelt die turbulenten letzten drei Jahre Juuls und geriet so zweifelsohne zum persönlichsten Werk des
dänischen Künstlers. Es wurde hauptsächlich in Kopenhagen aufgenommen, den letzten Schliff bekam "This
Moment" in Los Angeles von Produzent Peter Stengaard verpasst. Heraus kam ein fast gelöstes,
lebensbejahendes Album, das die bisher als Indians lediglich angedeuteten Soundscapes - man möchte fast
sagen: endlich - in voller Größe präsentiert.

The recording, from July 8, 1994, was originally captured at Portland's legendary all-ages venue the X-Ray Cafe. New York engineer Don Fury transferred the untouched multichannel analog cassette into his console, mixed it then mastered it along with input from Courtney Taylor-Taylor. This is a 12' Vinyl EP with four tracks.

Wind On The Water was the second album by David Crosby & Graham Nash. Cosmic Visions Of A Latin American Earth - Venezuelan Experimental Rock in the 1970s


Soul Jazz Records' new Venezuela 70 is the first-ever album of its kind to take a look at the groundbreaking experimental rock music made in Venezuela and created in the 1970s - during a time when the country was both a modern cultural and economic powerhouse in Latin America on account of wealth from its vast oil supplies. Venezuela lies at the northern part of South America, with neighbouring Colombia to its west and Brazil to its south. The north coast borders the Caribbean. 
Whilst much of 1960s Venezuelan rock music emulated British and USA styles, the 1970s saw the evolution of a new generation of creative artists such as Vytas Brenner, Angel Rada, Pablo Schneider and Miguel Angel Fuster, who all explored the possibilities of mixing together rock with elements of electronica, funk, jazz, latin rhythms simultaneously exploring their links with Venezuelan roots music, creating a new sound which blended a multitude of new and old world influences, uniquely Venezuelan.
These Venezuelan artists looked to the future while exploring their country's own musical heritage to create a new cultural identity. Similarities can be drawn with then contemporary movements around the world such as the Trópicalia and post-Trópicalia 1970s scene in Brazil of Os Mutantes, Novos Baianos, Secos e Molhados (all of which feature on Soul Jazz Records' earlier Brazil 70). 
A similar parallel can be made in Europe with the experimental German groups of the 1970s (Can, Amon Duul, Harmonia, Neu all featured on Soul Jazz Records' Deutsche Elektronische Musik) who deconstructed and reconstructed the links between rock music and electronics to define a new German cultural identity.
Most of these artists featured on Venezuela 70 remain practically unknown outside of Venezuela's borders and yet their progressive forward-thinking music is some of the most sophisticated in the world - a stunning 'melting pot' mix of underground rock, synthetic electronics, funk, jazz and Latin American rhythms all of which explored new sounds and broke down musical boundaries to create a distinct and unique Venezuelan music and cultural identity.

The Hellacopters bringen zum 20-jährigen Jubiläum ihres Debütalbums "Supershitty To The Max!" am 3. Juni eine 12-Inch-EP mit den Songs "My Mephistophelean Creed" und "Don't Stop Now" unters Volk. Beide Tracks wurden zwar schon 1996 geschrieben, bisher aber nie vernünftig aufgenommen, was die wiedervereinten Rocker in Nicke Anderssons Studio Honk Palace nachholten.
