France's punk rock record label, have now issued a vinyl version of the U.K. Subs' DVD 'Live In Bremen', which was recorded for German TV on 21 September 1982 featuring Charlie, Nicky Garratt, Alvin Gibbs and Kim Wylie. Retitled 'Bremen 82', the LP is limited to 500 copies. Alvin Gibbs has written a back cover introductory piece for the recording and below is some further background information regarding that show...

Pushing new boundaries, this opus crystallizes precious moments of sonic bloom, from ambient soundscapes to free-noise and krautrock inflected improvisation. This is the volume I of UNWORKS & RARITIES, a new serie compiling unreleased and miscelleanous pieces by OISEAUX-TEMPÊTE. Following their two acclaimed first albums on Sub Rosa (ÜTOPIYA, 2015 & S/T, 2013), UNWORKS & RARITIES is putting up more than a collection of outtakes.

Paul Draper was the frontman, main songwriter and producer of Mansun - one of the most iconic bands of the '90s. The band's debut album Attack of the Grey Lantern entered the UK chart at No 1. The band split in 2003 while recording their fourth LP (partially released on Kleptomania).

The EP features three equally brilliant, very different brand new tracks. Feeling My Heart Run Slow - a thundering juggernaut of a revenge rock n roll song, No Ideas - a mind-expanding spy movie soundtrack condensed into just under six minutes and The Silence is Deafening - a gleaming pop song that perfectly melds together glacial synths and soaring guitar-bass-drums. The EP also features an alternate mix of Feeling My Heart Run Slow by Andy MacFarlane of Scottish band The Twilight Sad, and will be released on digipack CD and 180g black 12" vinyl.

The tracks on EP ONE were recorded at Paul's studio The Kitchen. No Ideas was recorded with four times Grammy nominated multi-instrumentalist solo artist Steven Wilson (also signed to Kscope). Steven played bass, acoustic and electric guitar, Moog, Mellotron and Prophet synths on the track. The Silence is Deafening was co-written with Catherine AD (aka The Anchoress). Her current album Confessions Of A Romance Novelist was co-produced and co-written by Paul.

Paul is currently working on his debut solo album for release in January 2017.

On 19th August UMC will release 4CD and 4LP sets of Sex Pistols - Live '76. The collection comprises four revolutionary live recordings - all officially sanctioned by the Sex Pistols and professionally mastered at Abbey Rd Studios and released in full for the first time. Disc one features the truly legendary Lesser Free Trade Hall, Manchester concert, which took place on 4th June, 1976, arguably one of the most important music concerts ever. Set up by Pete Shelley and Howard Devoto (who were inspired to form Buzzcocks after travelling to Welwyn Garden City to watch the Pistols), the show was witnessed by people including future Joy Division/New Order members, Morrissey, Mark E. Smith (The Fall) and Tony Wilson, the concert changed the course of music history, with the Pistols inspiring a generation of musical mavericks. Closer to the band's London roots, the second disc comprises the 'Midnight Special' concert, which was recorded on 29th August, 1976 at Screen on the Green, Islington - More widely known for its cult cinema screenings. This famous gig saw the Pistols supported by The Clash and Buzzcocks. Legend has it that journalists and record company staff attempting to gain entry were reported to have been barred entry. Disc three is the live show that took place at Chelmsford Maximum Security Prison on 17th September 1976. Of the four recordings that make up this collection, this was the only one 'officially' recorded on 4 track ¼ inch tape, by the band's live soundman Dave Goodman. Reportedly the idea of the band's manager Malcolm McLaren, who claimed it was part of his strategy to have the band play more interesting, unusual non rock 'n' roll places, no doubt in an attempt to create controversy. John 'Rotten' Lydon rose to the occasion by being his provocative best, as can be heard on the between songs banter. The collection is completed with a concert that originally made its way around as a fans bootleg, recorded on 25th September - 1976: 76 Club, Burton on Trent. Officially released in full for the first time. Sex Pistols - Live '76 is the first time all four of these concerts have been collected together in sequence. It will be available on 4CD and 4LP sets (as well as digital download). It features related photographs and an original facsimile Sex Pistols Glitterbest press kit from the era.

Featuring never before heard recordings from Woo's archives, Awaawaa sees the band at their most evocative and psychedelic - presenting a suitelike, atmospheric collection of stunning miniatures. Recorded in South London during 1975-82, Awaawaa lines up chronologically with other Woo releases, such as 'Whichever Way You Are Going, You Are Going Wrong,' and touches upon synth, ambient, electronics, dub, and even krautrock. Following re-issues on Drag City and Emotional Rescue, Awaawaa presents a new chapter in Woo's celebrated discography, further distilling the brother's unique and otherworldy vision.

AC/DC live in Nashville on 8th August 1978 at the Atlantic Record Bar Convention

With new bassist Cliff Williams on board, by the summer of 1978 AC/DC were starting to achieve worldwide fame. They toured heavily to promote the May release of their classic Powerage LP, criss-crossing the US from June to October. This superb show was performed at the Atlantic Record Bar Convention on 8th August 1978. Broadcast by WKDF-FM, it captures them on fiery form, and is presented here with background notes and images.

Live at the Marquee is Dream Theater's live album recorded at the famous London's Marquee Club on April 23, 1993. It features songs from When Dream and Day Unite and Images and Words (MOVLP780). "A Fortune in Lies" is treated with more aggression than the original and remains one of their gems from the past. "Another Hand - The Killing Hand" is a combination of an instrumental commonly featured in their live shows and the now-infamous "The Killing Hand".

As exception, "Bombay Vindaloo" is an improvisation-based composition performed live only six times and never recorded in a studio.

The vinyl edition of Live at the Marquee matches the complete track listing of the original CD release in 1993 and therefore also includes "Surrounded".

This just might be the single greatest side of OTT psych/noise guitar oblivion ever put to disc from the most legendary Japanese underground group of all time, Les Rallizes Denudes: the mysteriously-named 'France Demo Tapes' have previously only circulated on wildly dubious CD-R burns, often with contradictory and conflicting track listings/material but the session (whether it was actually recorded in France or not) is consistently dated as being from some time in the late-80s. This gloriously out-of-nowhere release finally delivers on the hype surrounding this much whispered-about session, two massively deformed versions of their classics Night Of The Assassins' and The Last One'.
You have heard *nothing* like this and when Mizutani is on this kind of form it's hard to believe that any other rock music exists outside of this singular, blasted universe. If you buy one electric guitar album this lifetime...

New Bottles Old Medicine is the 1970 debut from British group Medicine Head, a duo at the time, that had only shortly before been discovered by legendary DJ John Peel, who immediately signed them to his Dandelion record label. One of the more enigmatic and inventive groups of the British folk-rock scene, the duo's leader, John Fiddler would simultaneously sing, play guitar and operate a bass drum and hi-hat cymbal with his foot, while bandmate Peter Hope-Evans would play harmonica, jew's harp, and various percussion instruments. Creating a sound that was simultaneously ethereal and earthy, and with a voice that touched on the heartbroken vibes of Nick Drake and John Martyn, Medicine Head are truly one of the most brilliant groups of early 70s UK scene and rarely get the attention they deserve. This deluxe 180 gram vinyl reissue hopes to help right that wrong.

The Cramps live at New York's Club 57 on 18th August 1979

The larger than life figures that grace the stage of New York's legendary Club 57 tonight, stand on the brink of a wider stage, namely the world. The Cramps quickly became one of America's finest subculture manifestations, bred from the madness of 50s and 60s b-movie trash at the turn of punk, Lux Interior and his motley crew of proto-gothic punks tear off heads with a slew of Dick Dale and Sonics salutes amidst sordid contortions.



Above all, The Cramps were a live band, a cabaret of b-movie histrionics and debonair, pursuing a lurid sexual gratification. Lux Interior in particular, personified, and externalized what lurked behind the snarl of every rockabilly hero.

Interference proudly presents the entire WPIX-FM broadcast of a legendary early performance by The Cramps at New York's Club 57 in the Irving Plaza from 18th August 1979. Captured in their ultimate prime and before the release of their debut Songs The Lord Taught Us. Professionally re-mastered with background liners and superb rare archival photos.

One of the great lost albums of British psychedelia, original copies of Arzachel's 1969 self-titled debut fetch huge sums on the collectors' market and it is not difficult to understand why. Originally released in 1969 on the small Evolution label, this album quite simply contains some of the best psych to ever come out of the UK. However, like so many other great albums of the era, it soon dropped entirely from the radar due to bad promotion. In fact, it may not have ever been rediscovered at all if guitarist Steve Hillage and keyboardist Dave Stewart had not gone on to be so well known. Hillage would soon become famous for his work in Gong, and Stewart would become a legend of British prog with Egg, Hatfield and the North, National Health, and his work with wife Barbara Gaskin in the 1980s. Contains bonus track from a lacquer of the same period. Limited edition of 500 copies on 180 gram white vinyl.

Soon after the release of King Crimson's 1969 masterpiece, In the Court of the Crimson King, band members Michael Giles and Ian McDonald began to disagree with the direction the band was taking and soon split off to start their own project. 1971 saw the release of an excellent studio album on Island Records called simply McDonald and Giles. Although the album was similar in style and complexity to King Crimson, the sound was considerably less dark overall. In fact, regarding this difference, McDonald commented at the time, 'I want to make music that says good things instead of evil things.' The album also featured Michael Giles' brother Peter (from their days with Giles, Giles & Fripp), and guest musician Steve Winwood, whose keyboard playing can be heard on 'Turnham Green'. Originally released in 2002, as a live CD/DVD At The Pongmasters Ball was the first true live album to be released by Ozric Tentacles since the release in 1992 of Live Underslunky. Now, Madfish are set to give the album its first release on LP.


Recorded at the final gig of the bands 2002 sell out UK tour, this double album, presented on 180g black vinyl, captures the very essence of the Ozrics live experience with a frenzied capacity crowd at London's Shepherds Bush Empire. The album includes classics from Ozric Tentacles' vast back catalogue as well as previously unreleased material and the odd "space-jam" where the band free themselves from the shackles of rehearsed material and let the music wander into unknown territory.


Ozric Tentacles first came together at the Stonehenge Free Festival in 1983, and built an audience through selling privately produced cassettes of their music. Their talent for hypnotic, mantra-like grooves found kindred spirits in the British rave scene of the late 1980s, uniting the seemingly disparate 'New Age' Hippie and Rave audiences. Despite the lack of a hit single, media notoriety or the usual music business hype, much less major-label backing, their 1993 album Jurassic Shift was a UK top twenty album, and their hardcore audience is both dedicated and loyal to the band's unique sound. At the core of the band's music is an exploration of electronic musical textures and compulsive, danceable grooves interlaced with strong melodies and multi-ethnic musical references.

This 1968 release of Flash is the only famous album by this Texas trio, featuring a young Billy Gibbons, later of ZZ Top fame, and it includes 5 bonus tracks from the CD re-release. Featuring '99th Floor,' the smash hit that was a sensation in the acid-psych scene of late 1960s Texas, and gained them the # 1 spot in the charts for 6 weeks. Limited edition of 500 copies on 180 gram pink vinyl LP.

In July 1965, when Their First LP was originally released, the Spencer Davis Group - the band that launched Steve Winwood's career - was just one of the many aspiring young groups on the British beat scene. But that would soon change when their single - a version of Jamaican singer Jackie Edwards' 'Keep On Running' - shot to the No. 1 spot on the British charts. Featuring 5 bonus tracks, including Otis Redding's 'She Put The Hurt On Me', Etta James' 'I'll Drown In My Own Tears', 'I'm Getting Better' and 'Goodbye Stevie', all from their 1965 EP, plus 'Stevie's Blues', the B side to their 1966 single 'Somebody Help Me'. Limited edition of 500 copies on 180 gram clear vinyl.

By Autumn '66 the Spencer Davis Group was at the very pinnacle of its success, burning up the charts with self-penned originals like 'Somebody Help Me' and 'When I Get Home'. However, this album also paid homage to the (mostly American) musicians, like Elmore James and Elvis Presley, who had so inspired these young lads from Birmingham, propelling them to international stardom. Bonus tracks include their number one smash hit 'I'm A Man', plus 'Stevie's Groove' (featured in the 1966 film, The Ghost Goes Gear, a musical comedy featuring the Spencer Davis Group and a plot about a haunted house, yes you read that correctly), 1967's 'Waltz For Lumumba', and 'I Can't Get Enough Of It'. Limited edition of 500 copies on 180 gram clear vinyl.

One of the most successful acts in rock history, Red Hot Chili Peppers, which is singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith, and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, have sold more than 60 million albums, including five multi-platinum LPs, and won six Grammy Awards, including Best Rock Album for 'Stadium Arcadium', Best Rock Performance By a Duo or Group for 'Dani California', Best Rock Song for 'Scar Tissue', and Best Hard Rock Performance With Vocal for 'Give It Away'. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2012.

Recorded in 1973 during a series of acid-fuelled all-night jam parties held at producer Dieter Dierks' studio near Cologne, Cosmic Jokers was the work of a veritable krautrock supergroup that included Dierks himself, Manuel Göttsching (Ash Ra Tempel), Klaus Schulze (Tangerine Dream), Jürgen Dollase and Harald Grosskopf (both of Wallenstein). This free-form freak out - consisting of two epic tracks, the 22 min 'Galactic Joke' and the 19 min 'Cosmic Joy' - was first of five albums by the group to be released in the coming months. A first rate slab of space rock up there with other classics of the genre. Limited edition of 500 copies on 180 gram yellow vinyl.
