Few artists are storytellers as deft and disarmingly observational as Andy Shauf. The Toronto-based, Saskatchewan-raised musician's songs unfold like short fiction: they're densely layered with colorful characters and a rich emotional depth. Like he's done throughout his career, Shauf wrote, performed, arranged, and produced every song on his new album Wilds at his studio space in the west end of Toronto. Over the course of a year-and-a-half, Shauf had written more than 50 songs, and pared down this massive body of work, into a single album's worth of material, which became 2020's highly acclaimed The Neon Skyline album. These songs focused on a theme by intertwining the individual characters stories of a group of friends who gathered for one night at the same local bar. Wilds includes songs from those same writing sessions, that did not fit into the Skyline storyline and had their own singular iden?tity apart from that album, though he does revisit with his old friends Judy and Jeremy in this outing.
Limited to 500 copies Side A/B is solid red vinyl and side C/D is solid green vinyl. Track listing is different to the CD and digital. ‘Harmonics of the Night’ is the third in what he conceived of as a trilogy of recordings from guitarist Andy Summers. Following on from ‘Metal Dog’ and ‘Triboluminescence’, ‘Harmonics of the Night’ began its life as a guitar improvisation for a museum installation of Andy’s own photos. He did not like the music they had chosen in the gallery so sat down and recorded some guitar improvisations. Summers says that he built this set out from there. These songs and the photos that inspired them have become a staple of his solo guitar shows. Stand out tracks: ‘A Certain Strangeness’, ’Harmonics of the Night’ and ‘City of Crocodiles’. The music for Harmonics of the Night came from a real-life situation, which was the occasion of a retrospective exhibition of my photography at the Pavillon Populaire in Montpellier. I was able to visit the museum in advance of the opening and decided this time (instead of the usual unsuitable music being played by the whatever gallery!) that I must make a music installation to accompany the photography on the wall, a piece that could be looped and thus provide a continual musical counterpoint to the visual. I made a twenty-minute single guitar improvisation, A Certain Strangeness - This piece put a certain approach in my in my head and pointed me in the direction of eleven more tracks. These pieces which vary from minimalist approaches to African influenced dance pieces and are what I consider the sonic parallels to the photography.
Andy Taylor - Songwriter, Gitarrist, Sänger und Mitglied der Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, der unter anderem mit Duran Duran, The Power Station, Robert Palmer, Rod Stewart, The Almighty, Thunder und The Ting Tings gearbeitet hat, kehrt mit seinem neuen Album Man's A
Wolf To Man" zurück, seiner ersten Solo-Veröffentlichung seit über 30 Jahren.
The third album from the Swedish progressive rock band Anekdoten,
recorded and mixed on analogue tape at the famous Atlantis Grammofon (formerly Metronome Studio) in Stockholm, home to many classic Abba albums. Predecessor ‘Nucleus’ was a heavy album, with only a little relief from its stridency. In comparison, ‘From Within’ is an album of light and shade. “We were exhausted after touring ‘Nucleus’ and after a month at home we entered the famous Atlantis Grammofon. We had few finished ideas for songs and no demos were recorded. Loose ideas and jams were transformed into songs in the studio and recorded on analogue tape by Grammy awarded producer Simon Nordberg.” Nicklas Barker, Anekdoten.
‘From Within’ is Michael kerfeldt of Opeth’s favourite Anekdoten record. Also, Steven Wilson introduced Theo Travis to it, leading to Theo and Anekdoten collaborating on both recordings and live shows. The 13-minute piece ‘Hole’, being quintessential Anekdoten, is recommended as a prime example of their musical style. “Besides some tracks that sound typical ANEKDOTEN, there are also some
tracks that show a small change of direction in their music. Their music has a big contrast between melancholic, slow and quiet to bombastic and chaotic but complex.” Greger R nnqvist, Prog Archives
“Anekdoten know how the Mellotron can be used to provoke emotions - as Crimson did on their classic “Epitaph” turned into a prog-rock band with an own identity: very dynamic and compelling compositions featuring two different singers, a powerful bass, splendid, very creative and propulsive drums and many waves of the unsurpassed Mellotron.” Dick Heath, Jazz Specialist “From Within, the third album from Swedish band Anekdoten saw them moving away from the King Crimson influences that had been highly characteristic
of their early work. The same instrumentation is present including Anna Sofi Dahlberg’s ever present and wonderful mellotron playing but the music despite having some powerful moments takes a somewhat mellower turn.” Paul Fowler, Prog Archives ‘From Within’ will be released in a digipack with 8-page booklet and was remastered in 2020 by Hans Fredriksson.

The 1995 second album from the Swedish progressive rock band Anekdoten, following 1993’s debut ‘Vemod’ (a classic in the underground scene, blending the progressive attack and symphonic darkness of King Crimson with the sensibility and beauty of Nordic songwriting).
Nothing about the perhaps naive ‘Vemod’ could have prepared the listener for the shocking verification that came with ‘Nucleus’. Over those two years, the quartet’s artistic voices had been brought to perfection, resulting in an album that simply cannot be compared to any other record. Its sheer power, originality, excessive cravings, mayhem, complexity, elegy, intelligent chord-and time-changes, variety and weird tonality mark the first point in history where Anekdoten present themselves as a unique entity. ‘Nucleus’ is like a musical painting of The Beauty and the Beast. The mixture of brutal,
dissonant riffs and fragile, extraordinary melody-lines is a work of genius. State-of-theart rock does not get any better than this. As near perfection as its possible to get... dirty filthy distorted clavinets... disgustingly beautiful raunch” Sean Worral, Organ Mag

Magma, is a French cross-genre, jazz-rock rooted, progressive rock and fusion band founded in 1969 by drummer Christian Vander. Magma have existed in two phases, the first was formed in the summer of 1969 and debuted on LP in 1970, continuing through to 1983. Kobaia was released spring 1970 and 1001 Centigrades was released April of 71.
Ange (lit. 'Angel') is a French progressive rock band formed in September 1969 by the Décamps brothers, Francis (keyboards) and Christian (vocals, accordion, acoustic guitar and keyboards).
Since its inception the band's music has been inspired by medieval texts, fantasy and the music of Procol Harum and King Crimson. Their music was quite theatrical and poetic.

For Fans of, KISS, Starz, Angel, and 70’s classic rock! Employing a dazzling mix of glam rock, hard rock, and progressive rock, Angel's outrageous, white-satin-heavy image and equally over-the-top stage shows, making them one of the more colourful arena rock bands of the mid-'70s and early '80s. Discovered by KISS bass player, Gene Simmons, the group issued their eponymous debut album in 1975, which hewed closer to prog rock than the glam pop that would inform future endeavours like On Earth as It Is in Heaven(1977) and Sinful(1979). The group released a total of 5 studio albums and 1 live album before going their separate ways in 1981.Formed in Washington, D.C., the group's self-titled 1975debut was recorded for the flamboyant Casablanca Records label--home to KISS--with a line-up comprising Frank DiMino (vocals), Punky Meadows (guitar), Gregg Giuffria (keyboards), Mickie Jones(bass), and Barry Brandt(drums). A heavy slab of heavy pomp rock with lengthy songs swathed in Giuffria's atmospheric keyboards and featuring the longtime stage favourite "Tower". Now to celebrate the50thAnniversarythis classic has been remastered and is being released on both a 6-pane l CD digipak and on 180G vinyl with liner notes by Rock Candy journalist Dave Reynolds. There are only 700 of the Black-Blue swirl worldwide. A must have for any Angel fan with classics like “Tower” and “Rock & Rollers”
Baltimore, Maryland’s Angel Du$t have announced details of their new album ‘YAK: A Collection of Truck Songs’, which will be released on CD on 10th December on Roadrunner Records and the band have also shared the new song ‘Big Bite’, which is joined by a music video directed by Ian Shelton.
Vocalist / guitarist Justice Tripp commented, “People get really married to the idea of making a record that sounds like the same band. If one song to the next doesn’t sound like it’s coming from the same band, I’m ok with that.”
Put simply, Angel Du$t are the guys who do whatever you don't expect.
Produced by Rob Schnapf (Kurt Vile, Elliott Smith), ‘YAK: A Collection of Truck Songs’ follows Angel Du$t’s 2019’s album ‘Pretty Buff’, and sees the group channelling an anything-goes philosophy into their tightest, most forward-thinking material yet. Recorded over a two-month period in Los Angeles last year, the album is a rotating smorgasbord of percussion, guitar tones, effects, genres, and influences, fashioned in the spirit of a playlist as opposed to a capital-R ‘Record.’ The album’s 12 tracks span jangle-rock gems (‘Big Bite’), piano-spiked power pop (‘No Fun’), and a breezy duet with Rancid’s Tim Armstrong (‘Dancing On The Radio’).
‘YAK: A Collection of Truck Songs’ also features ‘Love Is The Greatest’, ‘All The Way Dumb’, ‘Turn Off The Guitar’ and ‘Never Ending Game’, all of which appeared on Angel Du$t’s 2021 EP ‘Bigger House’,
Breezy but determined as they imbue their laid-back acoustics with sharpness, Angel Du$t continue to prove they are band averse to boundaries. The band’s Roadrunner Records debut ‘Pretty Buff’ was produced by Will Yip and earned the band critical acclaim. Widespread international attention included UK praise from Kerrang! (“13 super-accessible, honest and artfully crafted songs… there’s lots to love about them”), NME (“the fun-first hardcore group bringing ‘90s pop-rock to the pit”) and The Line of Best Fit (“a cacophony of good times and soul”).
“While spending time trying to conquer the audio of live-stream
at home performances, I got better acquainted with my friend
Adam McDaniel, an engineer and producer in Asheville, NC.
Adam and I had known each other for years. When the band
was a bit smaller I’d often rent his studio, Drop of Sun, for prerecording / pre tour rehearsals.
“Summer 2020 was tough for many reasons. But Adam and his
wife Emily opened their home to me and made it a safe space
to create and let go. I had an idea to record some covers and
bring some of the band into the mix, or add other players. I
wanted to record 80’s songs that I’d overheard walking the
aisles at the grocery store, and I needed to laugh and have fun
and be a little less serious about the recording process in
general. I thought about completely changing some of the
songs and turning them inside out.
“I’d heard ‘Gloria’ by Laura Branigan for the first time at a family
Christmas gathering and I was amazed at all the aunts who got
up to dance. I imagined them all dancing and laughing in slow
motion, and that’s when I got the idea to slow the entire song
down and try it out in this way. I felt that ‘Safety Dance’ by Men
Without Hats could be reinterpreted to be about this time of
quarantine and the fear of being around anyone or having too
much fun. It made me wonder, is it safe to laugh or dance or be
free of it all for just a moment?
“I know it’s not really in my history to do something unintentional
or just for the hell of it but my connection to these songs is
pretty straightforward, I just wanted to have a little fun and be a
little more spontaneous, and I think I needed to remember that I
could!” - Angel Olsen
Multi-platinum rock band Angels & Airwaves– comprising Tom DeLonge (lead vocals, guitar/synths), Ilan Rubin (drums/guitar/backing vocals/synths), David Kennedy (guitar) and Matt Rubano (bass) – wrote and produced ‘Lifeforms’ with Aaron Rubin. Rich Costey (Foo Fighters, Weezer) mixed the track, which marks the first new music from the band since “All That’s Left Is Love,” which was released in April 2020. Hailed as an “empowering anthem” by SPIN, the song conveyed a message of hope amid the pandemic. Continuing the band’s longstanding relationship with Feeding America, proceeds from “All That’s Left Is Love” were donated to the non-profit’s COVID-19 relief fund.
DeLonge, a founding member of Blink-182, formed Angels & Airwaves in 2005. The band has released five full-length albums and charted numerous hits, including “The Adventure,” “The War,” “Everything’s Magic” and “Rebel Girl.” The Dream Walker, released in 2014, hit No. 1 on iTunes and No. 5 on Billboard’s Top Alternative Albums chart. A multimedia project, the album was accompanied by a graphic novel, comic books and the short film Poet Anderson, co-directed by DeLonge, which won Best Animated Short Film at the Toronto International Short Film Festival.
In addition to his work with AVA, DeLonge created To The Stars, a multimedia entertainment company that creates original content across music, film, television and publishing. DeLonge served as executive producer of The History Channel series “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation" and will make his feature film directorial debut with the forthcoming Monsters of California.

With Fierce Bliss, the legendary Rock And Roll Hall of Fame inductee Ann Wilson -recognized as one of the greatest singers of all time and co-founder of multi-platinum stars Heart- has created a supremely lavish, warm and seductive slice of rock ‘n’ roll which provides an instant soundtrack whether on the freeway or in front of the fireplace. Recorded between Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL and Power Station, Waterford, CT, Wilson got together with famed Nashville session guitarist Tom Bukovac and invited several friends (including Warren Haynes, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Vince Gill) to help fashion an album which carries the glow of an ochre sunset and the pristine vocals of a rock legend who still has every single unique octave at her fingertips.
Fierce Bliss is truly an album which embraces all the finest qualities of classic American rock with the comforts and escapes that it can bring. Lead track “Greed” roars like a muscle car, Wilson’s rich voice hitting over drive, while “Love of My Life” is a beautiful rendition of the Queen classic featuring Gill on guest vocals which will strike empathy in all who hear who it. There’s the uniquely mysterious “Black Wing”, Wilson again the driver through a hazy, mystical journey, and a spectacular cover of “Bridge of Sighs”. The stomp ‘n’ roll thunders through “A Moment in Heaven” and Wilson takes charge of “Missionary Man” with a storming rendition that reframes the classic song.
With album art created by the famous fantasy artist Roger Dean (Yes, Asia) whose work has sold more than 150 million copies worldwide, Fierce Bliss is destined to be the American rock ‘n’ roll classic album that speaks to millions of people and provides them with quality, assurity and good ol’ goddamn comfort in these turbulent times.
Heart's Ann Wilson is releasing a new record with Tripsitter, 'Another
Door'
Prior to starting the 2023 tour, Ann Wilson and her band Tripsitter finished
'Another Door', a record of all-original material, which marks the first time since
the '70s that Ann has written a full- length album collectively with a band.
Tripsitter features Tony Lucido (bass), Ryan Wariner (guitars), Sean T. Lane
(drums), and Paul Moak (guitars and keyboards). Tom Bukovac (guitars) was also
a primary contributor.
ANOTHER DOOR marks the first time in her career where Ann was the sole lyricist
and her presence on a record has never been greater. Ann says, "This is an
exciting time in my creative life; so much new and fresh to remind me of why I
love my calling!"
The cover for 'Another Door' was created by Storm Studio which began in the
early 1990s with Storm Thorgerson, Peter Curzon, Rupert Truman, and Dan
Abbott. Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey Powell co- founded Hipgnosis, who
between 1968 and 1983 created artwork for the likes of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin,
Paul McCartney & Wings, 10cc, AC/DC, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, and many others.
Following Storm's passing in 2013 Aubrey Powell has worked closely with Storm
Studio on numerous projects since.

Mental health, unconventional relationship models, jealousy, failed dating
experiences and the banality and transience of life - these are the central
themes of 'The Absurdity Of Being', a coming-of-age album as if quoted
from a diary, recorded by a street artist in a construction trailer in the
north German countryside
Wydra herself describes her music as 'melancholic stray cat pop', and it sits
somewhere between indie and bedroom pop, comparable to the likes of Courtney
Barnett, Phoebe Bridgers and Chloe Moriondo. The Hamburg- based artist
surprises with '90s sounds, stomping club beats emerging from nowhere and
instruments such as melodica and violin. The opener 'Quality Time' deals with the
dark side of an open relationship and the title track with the banality of human
existence
Waking Up the new album from Annabelle Chairlegs - produced by Ty Segall
With roots in the industrial heartland of New Jersey. Annabelle Chairleg's music fuses gritty, dark, mechanical textures with a playful and whimsical spirit. The band has shared bills with The Zombies, Lucy Dacus and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, while lighting up festivals including Austin City Limits, SXSW, Levitation, and Austin Psych Fest.
On her newest release, Waking Up, lead singer Lindsey Mackin is joined by Nick Cornetti on drums and Derek Strahan on bass. Produced and recorded by Ty Segall in his home studio in Topanga, CA- this marks Chairlegs’ third full-length album— a bold new chapter for the Austin mainstay.
To Note: This vinyl has two vinyl exclusive tracks 'I Feel So Mad' and 'Beef Witted' which will not be available in streaming services upon release
‘The Darkest Skies Are The Brightest’ is Anneke van Giersbergen’s 23rd career album. It was created in a time of personal crisis, with just an acoustic guitar and basic recording gear, in a small house near the woods just outside of Anneke’s hometown, and it grew into something much bigger. Lyrically, and musically, the award-winning Dutch artist lays her soul bare with the most evocative record of her career – captivating song-stories told with acoustic guitars, strings, horns, percussion, and Anneke's hypnotic vocal harmonies, combined with surprising departures into swampier, foot-stomping grooves.

Alice in Hell is the debut album by the Canadian thrash metal band Annihilator. This influential piece is considered one of the essential metal albums from the late 80s. Frontman and allrounder Jeff Waters created some of his most inspiring guitar riffs.
Alice In Hell is an album by Annihilator, released in 2018. Alice In Hell includes a.o. the following tracks: “Crystal Ann”, “Alison Hell”, “W.T.Y.D.”, “Wicked Mystic” and more. The album is a High Quality, Insert speed/thrash/death metal LP.
Never, Neverland is an album by Annihilator, released in 2022. Never, Neverland includes a.o. the following tracks: “The Fun Palace”, “Sixes And Sevens”, “Reduced To Ash”, “I Am In Command” and more. The album is a High Quality, Insert speed/thrash/death metal LP.
Carnival Diablos is an album of red-blooded metal that connected Annihilator’s legacy to their present-day and re-established Jeff Waters’ place in the thrash pantheon. From the frenzied call-and-response of album opener ‘Denied’ to the progressively-edged mid-tempo sway of the title track, Carnival Diablos is a wholly satisfying offering of steak and potatoes heavy metal thrash – more heavy metal, less thrash, but 100% Annihilator at one of their many peaks.
Criteria for a Black Widow was a love letter to old-school Annihilator fans. It hit record shops at the precise moment the delirium of the 90s cleared and metal was ready to get heavy again. From the pummeling attack of opener Bloodbath to the classic brawl of Back To The Palace and the album's searing title track – all festooned with Jeff's ability to fuse the finesse of six stringed virtuosity with the auditory effects of a hand grenade – this was more than a return to form; it was the sound of Annihilator coming full circle.
“The Colchester quartet’s first offering for tastemaker label Nice
Swan stands up as a vital, visceral cut from a band of any
demographic.” - DIY
“Anorak Patch are unquestionably an alternative godsend” - So
Young
“Rising Stars” - Daily Star
Already championed by BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 1, Radio X,
Daily Star, BBC, i Paper, DIY, DORK, So Young and more,
Colchester’s Anorak Patch have been quick to grab the
attention of tastemakers across the UK. They were even
snapped up by label Nice Swan Records, who have put out
releases from some of the UK’s buzziest acts, including Sports
Team, Silverbacks, Hotel Lux, FUR, Courting and Malady.
Following breakout tracks ‘6 Week Party’, ‘Irate’ and ‘Blue
Jeans’, the 4-piece share new single ‘Delilah’, a tale of wanting
more than the small town you call home, and further proof of
why Anorak Patch are one of the UK’s most exciting young
bands to emerge in recent times.
Of the track, the band say, “‘Delilah is a story. It’s about a girl
who’s struggling her way through life... the song is sort of a
snapshot of how difficult life can be when you are in a bad
headspace without good people around you. It’s a lonely place
to be. The ‘town’ is just a reference to wanting something more
than the place you grew up in... I guess in that sense it’s a little
autobiographical. We are from a little place in Essex, it’s not a
bad place, but we collectively dream that by playing our music
we will have a chance to move out of its orbit.”
Anorak Patch are also set to perform their debut headline
shows, including in their hometown of Colchester next month,
and in London next year.
Keyboardist Effie Lawrence formed the group in late 2019 with
high school friends Luca Ryland (drums), brother Oscar (guitar)
and bass player Eleanor Helliwell. The drummer being just 15,
and the oldest member 18, the new single continues to show
the band’s immense musical talent at such a young age.
