"More lost recordings from Mark Sandmanʼs archives! Two lost shows from the Hypnosonics! The LP version is culled from a rare NYC show & legendary Boston gig, and unveils three new Mark Sandman songs that became eventual Morphine cuts served up by his “secret band.” The CD version boasts two complete shows split over two CDs featuring unheard Hypnosonics recordings, eventual Morphine songs, and three lost compositions. A rare NYC show & a legendary Boston gig, rival for space in your player!
There was so much sexuality oozing out of those songs but also humor... a lot of wry dry wit and downright silliness. super sophisticated silliness and all of it transportive, ecstatic, transcendent. There was nothing quite like seeing Hypnosonics and all of us in the audience knew it. We knew this was some pure sonic magic and we were totally hypnotized. – Margaret Garrett (Mr. Airplane Man)"
With governments finally admitting that UFOs do in fact exist, and humanity attempting to heal from a state of recent crisis, the timing couldn’t be more appropriate for the newest addition to the HYPOCRISY catalog: WORSHIP, due to be released Fall 2021 via Nuclear Blast Records. Aptly titled, the album cover shows a mass of humans reaching up mindlessly to the sky as glowing spaceships shaped like the HYPOCRISY crosses sigil beam down to descend upon earthen civilizations and Mayan temples. Designed by artist Blake Armstrong (Kataklysm, In Flames, Carnifex, etc.), WORSHIP’s artwork speaks to the history of the relationship between humanity and extraterrestrials. “They’re coming back to collect,” explains founder and HYPOCRISY mastermind Peter Tägtgren.
A track entitled CHEMICAL WHORE breaches the subject of pharmaceutical addiction, and those who engineer it. “We are all chemical whores. We regularly consume prescriptions and drugs because we think we need it; we use one pill to heal the damage done by another medicine... it’s a vicious cycle.” Musically, it’s the only song that was written by all 3 core members of the band and translates into a recognizable, mid-tempo HYPOCRISY sound much like ERASER or FRACTURED MILLENIUM. Traveling from Sweden to Russia, the band also shot an official music video for CHEMICAL WHORE.
The DEAD WORLD music was written by Peter Tägtgren’s son, Sebastian. “We actually started to write an album together, something like 11 or 12 songs, but we never put any vocals in there and we just sort of set it aside. Then when I started writing HYPOCRISY I realized I really liked the song… it feels fresh. I think my kid got some new blood in there.” While the song comes equipped with a modern feel, the writing is still old fashioned at its core. Going into detail about the illuminati and black ops government, the lyrics examine how miserable these figureheads and theories can make us. “Call it fantasy, call it sci-fi, there are plenty of conspiracies in the world but I find these ones interesting,” explains Tägtgren.
GREEDY BASTARDS is another track outlined by simplicity and catchiness. Chugging riffs encapsulate a sound that almost verges on the realms of thrash while still keeping its feet firmly planted in the world of death metal. The lyrics touch on the greed and methods of control that we see various governments around the world today; how they manipulate people against one another and abuse the masses.
For Tägtgren, the inspiration to write new HYPOCRISY comes in waves. “I believe we were out on tour for another project and I began to get hungry again. I started spitting out some new riffs and when I had 7-8 songs done, I invited the rest of the guys to join me and contribute, and from there we started putting everything together. We had a break for a few months, continued recording, went back on tour… it never stops. There was a lot of jumping back and forth, and then COVID came and things got really weird.”
Tägtgren was one of the many musically inclined who was forced into sudden isolation upon the onset of COVID 19, only for Tägtgren, this is common practice when creating new songs. “A lot of things in the world stopped, and it was time to finish everything I hadn’t finished.” As usual, all recording and mixing took place at Tägtgren’s home studio in Sweden.
It has been 8 long years since the last record, and HYPOCRISY fans can feel the itch. WORSHIP is 11 tracks of precise, ferocious musicianship. Commonly inspired by the fusion of the modern and the ancient, HYPOCRISY has once more found a way to combine innovative ideas with classic sound in order to deliver something metalheads can enjoyably consume with awe and brutal vigor. HYPOCRISY is Peter Tägtgren (Lead Guitar & Vocals), Mikael Hedlund (Bass Guitar), and Reidar “Horgh” Horghagen (Drums).

in Kanada wiederholte.
Nichtsdestotrotz veranschaulich
I Will Take You Hunting create an exhilarating blend of punk, indie, electronica and hip hop with new album Not Broken - The Scottish three-piece formed in 2020 and are Dave Martin, Steve Simms and DJ Butterscotch - Not Broken is their third album and is released on black vinyl and pressed in Scotland.
Their eclectic sound is for fans of Turnstile, IDLES and Viagra Boys - I Will Take You Hunting create a sonic storm of feel-good anarchy.
Imagine taking Black Flag, The Beastie Boys and Mclusky, shoving them into a cement mixer and using the resultant sludge as some form of musical cement Okay? Excellent! On an entirely unrelated matter, I Will Take You Hunting release their brand new (4th) and best (1st) album yet in June 2026. The album is released on Geranium Red Vinyl ...and no, we don't know who Patterson is! I Will Take You Hunting are Steve, Dave & DJ Butterscotch, a thrillingly abrasive three piece from Scotland. Their sound is a unique blend of electro-punk with hues of hip hop and groove. They are known for their electrifying live sets and raucous, vivid storytelling.
First released in 2000, 'The Secret Language Of Birds' saw Ian Anderson at his most introspective & stylistically diverse, delivering a deeply personal collection of songs that blend folk, rock, world music & classical influences with effortless grace. Written & recorded at Anderson's home studio, this album stands apart within his catalogue for its intimate atmosphere & organic charm. Across its richly varied tracks, Anderson's signature flute work intertwines with acoustic instrumentation, subtle rhythms & evocative storytelling, creating a soundscape that is both pastoral & worldly. From the reflective beauty of the title track to the playful energy of "The Habanero Reel" & the cinematic sweep of "Panama Freighter," each piece reveals a different facet of his musical language.
Following his bold 1983 solo debut 'Walk Into Light', Ian Anderson - the legendary flautist, songwriter & frontman of Jethro Tull - returned in 1995 with 'Divinities: Twelve Dances With God', a richly textured & wholly instrumental work that showcased a different side of his musical imagination. A sweeping, genre- defying suite in twelve parts, 'Divinities' draws deeply on Anderson's lifelong love of classical music, world traditions & pastoral folk. Conceived as a continuous orchestral journey, the album weaves influences from Celtic airs & Middle Eastern motifs to Indian ragas & Baroque counterpoint, all anchored by Anderson's unmistakable flute.
The result is one of his most ambitious & evocative projects - a spiritual, cinematic exploration of faith, nature & the divine. Now 'Divinities: Twelve Dances With God' returns to vinyl in a stunning half- speed remastered edition, expertly mastered by Grammy-winning engineer John Webber at London's AIR Studios using audio sourced from the original tapes. Pressed on black vinyl & housed in a faithful reproduction of the original artwork, this new edition stands as the most detailed & dynamic presentation of the album to date. Originally premiered live in its entirety with orchestral accompaniment before its release, 'Divinities' remains a singular work within Anderson's catalogue - a testament to his restless creativity & compositional range beyond the bounds of progressive rock.
Vierzig Jahre später: Was würde Gerald Bostock, der nun 50 Jahre alt wäre, heutzutage machen?
November wird Ian Anderson Plays The
Orchestral Jethro Tull auf schwarzem 2LP-Vinyl
veröffentlicht. Ursprünglich 2005 auf CD und DVD
veröffentlicht, enthält diese Ausgabe das Konzert zum
ersten Mal in seiner Gesamtheit auf Vinyl.
Zwischen 2004 und 2006 tourte Ian Anderson mit der
Reihe Ian Anderson Plays The Orchestral Jethro Tull

The album includes an array of guest musicians, most notably featuring collaborations with Mick Jones and Topper Headon of The Clash as well as Todd Rundgren. Shiverstruck, the latest album from IAN SWEET, finds songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jilian Medford at her absolute best. Produced and mixed by Ben Allen (Deerhunter, Washed Out, Belle and Sebastian), the record centers a deliberate return to analog instrumentation, with acoustic guitars, piano, strings, and live drums at the forefront. Medford’s writing is more confident, direct, and emotionally exposed than ever, with soaring, melodic tracks like “Criminal Kissing” and “Jilian” revealing a striking new dimension of IAN SWEET.
IAN SWEET’s music has amassed millions of streams worldwide and earned praise from FADER, The New York Times, Stereogum, The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, and Pitchfork, which named Show Me How You Disappear one of the Best Rock Albums of 2021 and profiled Medford as a Rising artist that same year.
Mesmeric and kaleidoscopic, shimmering with electrified unease, Show Me How You Disappear is both an exercise in self-forgiveness and an eventual understanding of unresolved trauma. Jilian Medford’s third record as IAN SWEET unfolds at an acute juncture in her life, charting from a mental health crisis to an intensive healing process and what comes after. How do you control the thoughts that control you? What does it mean to get better? What does it mean to have a relationship with yourself?
Recorded with Andrew Sarlo (Big Thief, Empress Of) and Andy Seltzer (Maggie Rogers), among others, Medford approached this album as a curator. She handpicked the producers that fit each song, which explains the range and experimentation showcased. Medford then recruited Chris Coady to mix and tie everything together into one cohesive piece.
Dizzying and enthralling, Show Me How You Disappear is the sound of someone coming apart and putting themselves back together — the moment an old mantra, repeated into the mirror time and time again, finally clicks. To look at your reflection, and finally feel seen.
As RidingEasy Records’ highly successful Brown Acid series (now at 10 volumes and counting) proves, there is a massive amount of incredible heavy psych and proto-metal music that has been lost to the sands of time. Case in point, the astoundingly great 50-
year-old album The Ice Age by Indianapolis quintet ICE was never even released upon its completion.
In 1970, the band recorded 10 original songs at 8-Track Studios in Chicago, only to break up shortly thereafter. Two of the tracks were eventually released as a 45 in 1972, but confusingly under a different band name, Zukus! The A-side of that single was featured on Brown Acid: The Ninth Trip, which led RidingEasy Records to discover
when licensing the track that an entire album had been languishing in obscurity all of this time. The 2-inch master tapes had been shelved and forgotten until recently when The Ice Age tracks were converted to digital and remixed, preserving the sounds of the original vocals & instruments. Finally, half a century later, this 10-song album of radioready rock will finally see light of day. The Ice Age is an exceptional archive of hard edged rock with serious pop hooks akin
to something like Grand Funk Railroad meets The Guess Who and The Move. It rocks hard, but is also interlaced with glorious melodic hooks. Had fate been less fickle, this album would’ve long been a classic rock radio staple. Album opener “Gypsy” is a chiming Byrds-like rocker, with glistening 12-string guitar, organ and somewhat over-zealous vibra-slap. “Satisfy” and “3 O’Clock In The Morning”
nicely pair up as the most pop friendly tunes, but with very clever melodies and structures sounding ahead of their time, the latter with an extended entrancing and droning refrain led by shimmering organ run through a Leslie speaker. “Running High” and “Catch You” were the two tracks released in ’72 under a different band name, which
received considerable local radio airplay. And, for good reason: Their nice balance of wayward psychedelic pop and troglodyte thunder is exactly what makes The Ice Age so captivating. Album closer “Song of The East” shares the growling glissando and orchestral style that made Vanilla Fudge and The Moody Blues household names.
In the late 1960’s five young men formed a rock & roll band on the west side of Indianapolis, Indiana. They chose the coolest name possible: ICE. The group consisted of vocalist/keyboardist Barry Crawford, lead vocalist/ bassist Jim Lee, drummer Mike Saligoe, lead guitarist John Schaffer and rhythm guitarist/vocalist Richard Strange.
They was among the first bands to perform an all original set throughout the Midwest at high schools, colleges & concert venues. They opened for national acts like Three Dog Night, SRC, Kenny Rogers & the First Edition, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and others in
arenas and theaters. The Ice Age is truly an incredible and unprecedented find, particularly when we’d all thought the glorious history of rock’n’roll had long ago been written and sealed as
complete.
