Pop & Rock Vinyl New Releases - News

VIBRATIONS 002 comes from LHAS, AKA Jaime Read, who is here to show all these new old-school house heads precisely where to step off. A longtime cohort of Foolish Felix, who was horribly ripped off by a Chicago legend (just google it) and the man to go to when you want 'that' vintage synth sound spotted, Jaime knocks out four tracks that aren't retro they're timeless. From the classic chi-jack of 'Learning to Live' to the swirling syncopation of 'Call That Jazz', these four tracks eschew rigid programming and live, breathe and ooze musicality. No remixes, just 100% LHAS.

Here comes the second great volume of this incredibile serie, this time on 2 CD format. On the CD 1 tunes taken from the 80's FULL TIME catalogue hits, re-edited versions by Mario Berardi. On the second CD all original versions.

In this era of Nü-Disco, Space Disco, Cosmic Disco, Disco House and shit, there must be a beacon of quality to light the way and lead the faithful back to a place where good grooves matter and realness is holding court.

Let the labels fall and just get it movin'.

WOLF MUSIC WITH YET ANOTHER KILLER 4 TRACK EP FEATURING OOFT / KRL / BROTHER'S RISE & FANTASTIC MAN

NEXT UP FROM COSMIC BOOGIE IS A SUPERB 2 TRACKER FROM THE IN DEMAND LEFTSIDE WOBBLE. ODYSSEY'S 'EASY COME EASY GO' NEVER SOUNDED SO GOOD.

Heavily steeped in classic Detroit influences, but fused perfectly with contemporary urban and disco tinges that melt into a single and unique sound...the mysterious Klic announces his arrival on the house scene with a highly impressive debut on Home Taping.
'Disco Music' borrows from here, there and everywhere as it glides, hisses and nods its way on a heavy groove-based journey through sound.
On the flip 'Bump' grinds, wobbles and teases every ounce of rhythm it can then pumps it out through its deep grooves as it longs to be free.

100% House music with bits. Play it all night long!!

VIBRATIONS 003 comes from Asian Project; AKA Bobby Coulman from Soft Rocks flying solo and working with Julian Bendall from Bah Samba et al. 'Distant Love' is classic deep house done the way it should be - this cut blew our minds when we first heard it! Remix duties fall to Washington DC's Protect-U and they take the track on an analogue headtrip from Chicago to Japan... unique and wonderful. Finally 'Rajdhani Express' is a midtempo excursion of chugging drums, dubby elements and beautiful sitar. Music to get lost in!

[A] a1 | HEAVEN IN THE AFTERNOON

12 great and rare tunes, that made history of Disco music of 70's !! All tracks remastered and extended versions !!!! Massive for collectors !!

Fantastic reissue of two highly sought after early 80s disco boogie monsters from US soul singer Joe Coleman. Released here as a double A-side with the original Italian F1 Team label artwork, both of these 1982 cuts are pure dancefloor dynamite and change hands for silly money on the internet. 'Test Drive' is produced by US guitar maestro David Williams and features his signature uber-funky strumming style which combines with Joe Coleman's smooth lyrics to create a truly infectious bubbling disco classic. On side B we have the dazzling funk-boogie stomper 'Get It Off The Ground', a grindingly groovy cut topped off perfectly once again with Mr Coleman's strong and sexy vocals. Essential purchase and a bargain buy to get these two amazing tracks for the price of one 12'.

After years, this vinyl-wielding 4-piece originating from Brighton — the one and only Soft Rocks — have finally committed their collective wit to a slew of original tunes. 'We Hunt Buffalo Now' is a punky dub monster serving as the first single in a series surrounding their = imminent debut album, 'The Curse of Soft Rocks'. In an age where any laptop-savvy poseur can upload their bland nu-disco or faux-Chi-house directly to the cesspool of digitally downloadable fodder, it is more than refreshing to hear this cheeky bunch blending a mixed bag of instrumentation and obscure influences so recklessly. Guest vocals are provided by San Francisco post-punk hero Jorge Socarras (vocalist of Indoor Life and songwriter for Patrick Cowley). In case that wasn't enough, flip her over for the genius remix by Andrew Weatherall, a bonafide glam stomper that slaps you across the face with a fuzzy bassline and greaseball guitar chords. Pure class.

31 historical & great tunes taken from the STUDIO 54 serie. Really the best of music that made STUDIO 54 , the club in NY, famous all over the world and capital of nightlife during past / recent years . 31 unforgettable tracks for your music collection !
