Welcome back to Demon’s ‘Disco Discharge’ series, originally issued in a series of 2CD collections between 2009 and
2012. The themed compilations of full-length, extended Disco originals, lovingly curated by the mysterious “MrPinks”
and with detailed sleeve notes by author and Disco aficionado Alan Jones, have remained in-demand among collectors
and the club cognoscenti. This time around, the series kicks off with ‘Classic Disco’ and ‘Disco Fever USA’, both issued
in new-formatted 2CD Deluxe gatefold sleeves and, for the first time, as 2LP coloured 140-gram vinyl editions.
While Disco happened the whole world over, ‘Disco Fever USA’ cherry-picks 12 milestones hailing from its American
birthplace on 140g White vinyl. Alongside lesser-known cuts from the likes of Fern Kinney, Gloria Gaynor and Boys
Town Gang there’s also another wealth of treasures including a rare instrumental version of Earth, Wind & Fire’s
‘Boogie Wonderland’, the sublime ‘Like An Eagle’ by sometime gay porn actor Dennis Parker and Bionic Boogie’s ‘Risky
Changes’, a track you could say predicted Chicago House sound a full ten years before the fact.

Originally released in 1985 on the italian label London Records Production, Superbowl (or 93rd Superbowl) is an italo disco project with two big names behind: Gianfranco Bortolotti and Roberto Arduini. Together they created this very recognizable italo disco style based on powerfull bassline and energetic synth leads. Very catchy and dancefloor fillers.

The re-issue includes the same tracklist as the original release, Forever and a Day on A side and Forever and Two Days on B Side (kinda a full vocal dub version).

Sourced from the analog master tapes for the first time, Sharp-Flat presents the WITCH disco albums as you've never heard them before in sleeves that replicate the original album artwork.

Over the course of the 1970s, WITCH delivered an impressive run of garage, rock and prog releases. By 1980, the band was ready to embrace the exciting dance sounds of a new era. Shuffling their lineup and relocating to Zimbabwe, they undertook their mythical transformation into an African R&B, soul and funk powerhouse. With access to a state of the art recording studio in Harare, WITCH produced two exquisite recordings during their disco years.

A full-throttle boogie outing, Kuomboka was issued in 1984 and features rising star Patrick Chisembele stepping in on lead vocals. Despite the album's modern vision for African pop, its title refers to a traditional migration ceremony practiced by the Lozi people of the Zambezi floodplains. The album documents a seasoned ensemble with an ambitious vision and is considered the group's sonic masterpiece.

In 1985, A-Level Economic students at Highgate Wood School in North London ran an advert in Melody Maker looking for material for a school project to release a compilation EP of local artists from Haringey. The result was a 5-track EP 12" released the following year on the 'A.L.E.' imprint that was distributed and sold in local shops before disappearing into obscurity.

Featuring a mix of old school electro, pop, funk and soul infused tracks that echo the musical styles of mid-80s London, it's now a highly coveted rarity amongst DJ's and collectors. Whether it's a balearic set, an old school hip-hop playlist, a dive into mid-80's British independent soulful pop or the latest nu-disco set, the Sound Of Haringey is on track.

A veteran of the NYC's nightlife and dance music scenes, Warren worked with names like Mark Kamins & George Benson, and produced the Larry Levan favourite Affinity - Don't Go Away before leaving the music industry and starting life as a high school teacher.

Lost In Space by New York City based Warren Doris flew under the radar upon its initial release in 1981. Despite radio play in the Northeastern US, the tune never completely broke out and instead became a closely guarded secret among soul music aficionados. More than four decades after its release, the emotional power of Warren's vocal performance and the lush, swelling arrangement have cemented the record's well deserved status as a holy grail for collectors.

Meticulously remixed and remastered from the original 16-track tapes by Warren himself, this new edition of Lost In Space does justice to the original with three all new cuts; The familiar extended mix and new radio edit pair with an instrumental version and a heavy dub of “Let It Show” the flip side on the original pressing.

“This was my breakup song for my ex-wife. I was 28 and she was 32 at the time. Now here we are 43 years later. It was originally released on my label, Maya Communications. At the time it got a bunch of airplay in New York, South Carolina, and Washington D.C., but I got jerked by the distributors on my money, so I couldn't keep up with the demand for the repress. Drew Schlesinger has been playing synthesizers and composing electronic music since the early 1970s. In 1986, he began developing third-party sounds for Casio CZ synths, leading to a career designing presets for over 200 products from 30 companies including Roland, Korg, Kurzweil, Alesis, E-mu, Ensoniq, TC, Lexicon, Eventide, and others. After a 20-year hiatus in the corporate world, he has recently returned to music and sound design. His latest release is the album RADAR SIGNALS (Recorded 1981-82).

“Crazy for the disco dance" was born from the collaboration of two musician producers, the "In da club" with Theo Spagna.

The request for a song to be produced came after the two grammys, from ASCAP Americana, assigned to Theo Spagna as co-author of the song "Ritmo" by the Black Eyed Peas and after the success of the song "Clap your hands" by the French DJ Kungs which sees Ivana Spagna as author.

"Crazy for the disco dance" is a song that deliberately recalls the atmosphere and sounds of the 80s and choosing Spagna as the featuring was a natural choice. The artistic production is by Theo Spagna. Executive producing by Angie C.

Arp Frique returns to the scene with a new album after a string of releases, leaving the cratediggers and dancefloor tastemakers with underground classics like Nos Magia, Voyage and Nyame Ye. On ''Analog People Digital World' he embraces the digital coldness of Yamaha’s classic DX7 synthesizer to create a refreshing listening experience using only the FM synthesis-based sounds from this machine to find new heat for an analog world, reflecting on the digital revolution we are living through. The album features Ghanaian songstress Mariseya (Omampam, Jah Kingdom, Digital World, Roi Salomon), Cape Verdean OG Americo Brito (Go Now Wetiko) and Surinam funkstar Sumy, who joins the record on the opening track “Spiritual Masseuse”. Two years after their previous effort, regular as clockwork, Swiss throbbing synth pop duo Veil Of Light is back with a new album and what can we say? These guys keep on getting better and better.

If you have followed the Zurich-based outfit over the past few years, you must have noticed the constant moving towards 80’s FM new wave and synthpop tones – without losing their electro/body music outline – that have marked the band’s parable, especially since their latest Landslide LP.

Sundancing is their sixth full-length and it stays the course, bringing what we’ve just said to the next step. Nine new dancy and bright tunes with emotional depth that blend lush instrumentation and robust rhythms, guided by funky and rubbery basslines. Syncopated rhythm sections match suburban cool synths in the lead single Apricot Kiss and Hypersleep, while Raindancing and Tonight summon a sinuosity long gone since the mid Eighties. The musical backdrop here serves as the fundament for emotional vocals delivering lyrics dealing with the fragility of love, joy and loneliness.

There’s some subtle addictiveness to these songs, one that will gently grab you by the collar of your coat and stick the refrains from Sundancing inside your head for good.
Veil Of Light might make it look easy to keep it neat without being minimalist, intimate without being depressing, romantic in the most true sense of the word, but we know that’s possibly the hardest thing to do.

In order to celebrate the disco legend, Editions Miliani presents a
magnificent double album of remastered tracks by performer and
songwriter David Christie.

David Christie, a.k.a Jacques Pepino, passed away 25 years ago and for the anniversary of his death, Editions Miliani has compiled these tracks to bring to life timeless music that continues to make people dance! Carefully selected, the tracks include the "Saddle Up" version by Bon Entendeur.

David Christie has composed for artists such as Sylvie Vartan, Joe Dassin, Demis Roussos, Morris Albert, Gloria Gaynor, Jimmy James, Grace Jones and Tina Charles, for whom Christie wrote the 1976 hit "I Love to Love" that topped the UK charts. The album pays tribute to the career of this musical genius.

"Another Italo Disco Pearl, Vega Synthauri! One the most spontaneous and genuine tracks of the first half of 80s. The song, written by composer Daniele Pace (co-author Corrado Conti), is a futuristic and galactic dance floor piece with a heavy rhythmic focus where the main melodic line has a classical music feel to it. A lovely combination! This track by Donna Laser is one of the most significant electronic tracks of the entire Italo-Disco scene even beyond the mid-80s, was arranged by the talented Mark Owen (aka Marco Colucci). His synthesizer skills are a true art! This release was mixed at the renowned Trafalgar Recording Studios of Rome by Gaetano Ria, one of the most accredited technicians of the country in that period. "Grace Kelly's Song" on the flip is a very beautiful quiet nostalgic piece, that could fit perfectly into an Italian dramatic film of the late 70s or early 80s, a cute and delicate track to unwind after the monster killer on side A! Masterpiece created by the young visionary DJ Marco Marati. Stunning release!"

MJ Lallo sings to trees and distant planets. She plays drum machines, synthesizers and processes her voice to sound like percussion, space ships, trumpets, birds and words from an unknown language. Tip!

For almost 40 years she worked in post-production music and SFX, founding her own company MJ Productions in 1983. Although she wrote, performed and recorded music for films constantly over the years, she only released one Hi-NRG 12' under a pseudonym, a small-run cassette in the late 80s and a CD in the early 2000s. Séance Centre is committed to exploring Lallo's unique and fascinating body of work with this maxi 12' and a 2LP compilation planned for spring 2018.

The Star Child 12' focuses on Lallo's love of movement in body and mind. Star Child Going Home is a late-night FM boogie transmission, a soaring wordless ode to an interstellar visitor departing. The song conveys a complex synthetic love beyond the realm of language, using voice, Juno 106 and deft LinnDrum programming. Aquarius Blue moves languidly, a sun-soaked Californian cosmic cruiser. Lallo's voice plays in the waves of synth and motion of drum machine, like sun-rays across the sea at magic hour.
