it was also sampled on the house classic Cassius "cassius 99" !!!

A: You Know
Heavy on the bass with a light hihat pattern and mellow kick/snare creates the backing for delayed/reverberated vocals and synth stabs. A down beat boogie feel on this one and its infectious!!

B: All The Way
Easygoing rhythms in this track create a great groove. The vocal is the principal theme giving lead to the bass line and percussive elements. Laid back funk style!

A) Super Violao Mashup
B) Recado Pro Pio Lobato

The Main Stem debut with 'Contortion Danse', their first single for Lipservice. It oozes New Wave swag, with James Flanagan's vocals setting the scene. Clash-esque guitar chops and cowbell pings are the order of the day with a hefty bassline and drum workout that keep the groove bumping.
The Rhythm Odyssey Warehouse Dub takes the track down a dirty groove, dubbing things up and adding some 808 Rhythms and tribal bass, coming on like a undiscovered Nu Groove release.
The Main Stem drop their own remix, keeping it smooth and hypnotic with echoes of The Beloved.
Birmingham's slo-mo house / beatdown king Mark-E provides an epic mix of 'Yes Sacrifice', taking us on a spine tingling electronica journey.

"Hollywood Seven" has been a dance floor weapon of Mike Simonetti's DJ sets for almost six years. It's one of those tracks people come up to the booth & ask about the most. One of the most sought after Arabic disco records finally see's a long awaited re-release, this 12" was only issued in seriously limited quantities on the tiny Stip records label out of France in 1976. Sought for the chuggy exotic rhythms of the B side 'El Fen' at long last this eastern influenced disco masterpiece is available to those who don't happen to have a spare £500!!

Aït Meslayene was a Kabyle traditional singer who moved to Paris to try his luck. He was driven by an Algerian manager who pushed him to make a "disco" album, a new trend at that time. The recording found place in a studio near Paris, with an American drummer from the funk group "Ice".

Stepping to the hard left, Richard Sen + Cazbee's edits are always a touch different from the rest of the zillion edits around. Influenced by the newave and disco not disco sound of clubs like The Music Box these 3 new cuts have a disctinctly dark and naughty flavour. Listen and judge for yourself....

Mixed Blood Cuts has been supported from DJs including: DJ Harvey, Andrew Weatherall, Optimo, Padded Cell, Idjut Boys, Cosmo Vitelli, Mark Moore, Pete Herbert, Lovefingers, Golf Channel and more.

We met Fred Ventura in 2006 over emails sent to Italians Do It Better headquarters. He was one of the first people from Europe to start writing the label prior to After Dark's release. It took us a few months to realize that this was Fred Ventura, the cult Italo legend from Milan. Like a true gentleman, he had never bothered to mention it. Since the early 1980's Fred Ventura has released numerous singles in Europe & toured the world extensively as a solo artist. Last year, Johnny was in Bologna on tour with Desire & Fred came out to the show to drink Champagne & bring us some copies of the reissued tapes of Fred's early Post Punk group State Of Art. The lightbulb lit up & we asked him if he had any home recordings of his solo work.

Months later, he sent us 83 tracks of cassette recordings between 1982 & 1987. They had been sitting upstairs in a dusty box at his parents house in Italy for the last 25 years. These tracks have only been heard by a handful of his closest friends. We were completely floored & honored! Finding a beautiful treasure completely untouched & preserved is so rare. The songs are raw & honest written by a romantic with a love for an anthemic chorus & a drum machine running through his veins.

Think early minimal Depeche Mode with an Italian heart. OrNew Order covering Madonna produced Moroder. Yes, it's that good. Here we have the first official Italians Do It Better release of these songs on a 4 song 12" ep. This vinyl only release is a teaser for the "Don't Give Up" 18 track lp out in a couple of months. So in the meantime, slip on those Gucci loafers, rev up the Alfa Romeo and head down to the discotheque because life is too short...

More classics touched by the hand of Todd that will burn the floor on a limited edition coloured vinyl release!

Taking a break from compiling his latest masterpiece while simultaneously remixing and re-editing for various labels, Al Kent delivers another trio of peak time disco movers..

On the A side "Feel It Baby" is a classic everyone should know, twisted and tweaked for today's loop-hungry dancers. The phrase "bassline to die for" was coined to describe this song. Then there's the strings... oof! Flip it for You Got It, an edit that's been in Al's armoury a while, one that people always ask for.. so here it is. "Drums to die for"~ Built around one serious serious disco break. Lastly, there's Loving Living Feeling. A super funky clav, rhodes and string groove that really packs a punch!

Million Dollar Disco is loved by Dimitri from Paris, Pat Les Stache, Solid State, Cosmic Boogie, Greg Wilson, Peter Adarkwah, The Dead Rose Music Company, Horse Meat Disco, Nik Weston, Chris Harris and many many more..

Despite the name, the price is a little more than we'd usually like to charge, but if it wasn't for us, you'd be buying these as Japanese imports !!

You might not be aware of this artist or LP... but that's all about to change. This is the holy grail of cosmic disco... that disco kids don't even know yet. Released in 1978 on little known Inter Global Records, this LP is one of the most in demand, expensive & undiscovered albums of this genre. Just check discogs!

Not much is known about the group, where their from or what they went on to do, but that doesn't stop every track on this album being a bonafide killer. Arguably the album's highlight is 'Jamaica Electric', but unlike most cosmic disco LP's where there is just one main track, every outing on this LP is unique and of the highest quality.

The Project Club make a welcome and serioulsy classy return to the label
El Mar Y La Luna is a warm tribal dub groove that conjures up beachside sunrises or perhaps daytime raving on the beach.
