An awesome boogie tune from 1982, with great bassguitar and synthwork

Deluxe Heavyweight 180g Vinyl LP Edition of Azymuth's New Studio Album 'Aurora' !

Returning to their huge old school sound, this new recording celebrates 35 years of Azymuth as 'arguably the most successful band to come out of Brazil'. The signature swing samba is heavier than ever with a string of unforgettable tunes: from dance-floor fillers and lush jazz to hard, grooving samba funk and warped psychedelia. Together the original three piece Azymuth orchestra has made their strongest album since the seminal recordings 'Azimuth' and 'Light as a Feather'. Discover why musicians as diverse as Friendly Fires and Madlib are addicted to this innovative boogie monster

'I'm still as excited opening up a new Azymuth album as I was when buying 'Light as a Feather' in 1979...Aurora sounds great...' Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio 1)

Residing in the 16th District of Paris, Project Tempo is a mysterious duo of DJs with a passion for 80's Funk, Boogie and Soul.

Their slo-mo, friendly vibe in their DJ sets led them to create a series of re-edits which, after appearing on some well respected DJ forums, have steadily gained momentum and support from a hugely diverse range of DJs. The king of the edit himself Greg Wilson, plus other big hitters in the disco scene like Ashley Beedle and Dimitri from Paris are among those who have shown their appreciation for the Project Tempo reworks and featured them in their DJ sets. Now Project Tempo material is available for the first time on VERY limited vinyl only release for demonstration purposes only.

Al Kent was once described as Scotland's Walter Gibbons, and on "Fantasy" he pays tribute to his hero with an alternative take on a track Walter made his own. With beautiful rhodes piano, sweet strings and heavenly jazz guitar, file under "lush". Flip over for some disco madness... "Check Out The Sounds of NYC" may once have been a Loft classic, but in this incarnation may have proved too much for that particular musical journey. Tough as old boots. Wrapping up we have "Gimme Some Loving" - built around a cool piano hook and an instantly recognisable voice and featuring some proper hands in the air string sections.

Million Dollar Disco is loved by Dimitri from Paris, Pat Les Stache, Solid State, Cosmic Boogie, Greg Wilson, Peter Adarkwah, The Dead Rose Music Company, Horse Meat Disco, Nik Weston, Chris Harris and many many more..

The Lipservice bandwagon rolls into town with yet another musical extravaganza. They've put together a rather tasty single package of one of the standout tracks from Chicken Lips' amazingly nostalgic "Experience Of Malfunction" album. "She Fish" found its way into the playlists of many DJs and radio shows alike. The vocal paring of Jonny Spencer and Jael Levi offers a sexy and intense vocal throughout. Their call and response style is a marriage made in funk heaven.

The third instalment of the Diner City Sound phenomenom is in the hands of K & B. A mysterious duo with bags full of talent!

A1: Sweet Love
Diner City Style! Cool vocal samples, rolling synths and heavy grooving percussions. A trippy, disco house track. A bomb!!

B1: Una Splendida Dubbata Disorientata
Sexy, slow and deep! Popping riff stands out amongst the keys and chilled atmospherics. When it kicks into the main section things really pick up. A brilliant track for the end of the night!

One of the rarest and most sought after Belgian cosmic disco lp's out there. With tracks like Funky Milkyway, Discosmic Dancer, Discosmic Sinfonia & Interplanetary Conflict you know you're in for a Galactic treat, this LP carries serious weight, squelchy dancefloor chuggers, spacy orchestral samples, cosmic ambient soundscapes and slo disco space burners, this record will appeal not only to disco fans but hip hop producers, leftfield selectors and all serious music fans.

Produced by the legendary Philippe Renaux, respected musician and boss of the 80s French dance label Clever that started as a Carrere sublabel before moving to a distribution deal with CBS. He also produced Pilots - Space Music LP on many collectors wants list, along with many other projects he produced the Toni Van Duyne - Cosmic Dancer & Soft Energy - Sideral Space LP's, both also very sought after obscurities.

Extremely welcome reissue of this super dope and super rare slamming early 80s boogie classic. Coming out of Chicago in 1983 on the tiny label Full Scope, this was the only release for both the label and the band but what a release!! Heavily synth-laden, echoing cowbells, tight crisp percussion, superb bass - this is a fantastic example of 80s funk at its absolute best and deserves all the accolades it gets. Get a copy while you can.

With the original Larry Levan 12" mix of 2wice - You Set Me On Fire from 1981, also Imagination's 1981 disco track 'So Good So Right'
