- originally released in 2005 on Xtra Mile Recordings. This re-issue follows the rabid fan response to
the 10th Anniversary re-issue of 'Racecar Is Racecar Backwards' on coloured vinyl and bespoke new
artwork released in late 2014.
This vinyl release of 'Very Fast Very Dangerous' is no less ambitous. Heavy card, gatefold vinyl sleeve

Nadine Shah released her debut album Love Your Dum and Mad to critical acclaim in 2013. A stint on the road with Depeche Mode followed and opening for Bat for Lashes provided notable highlights on an extensive tour. Created with trusted collaborator and producer Ben Hillier the excellent follow-up Fast Food is here.
Born from a fervid 2 month writing session, Fast Food exists on a knife-edge every bit as dramatic as we've come to expect from Nadine but with a sharpened eye for all things hook laden. Recorded live at Ben's studio The Pool the albums jagged nature is owed in part to the contributions of guitarist Nick Webb and bassist Pete Jobson (I Am Kloot).Building on the bruised honesty and charm of its predecessor, Fast Food rings with the confidence of an artist completing their most coherent musical chapter To date. 'The last album took so long to make that by the time it came out it Didn't feel like it was a very clear representation of where I was musically, but this time it's different,' Nadine explains. The full-song team picture sounds like this: We've got party-starting, confetti-blasting jams from Young Magic and Skylar Spence. There are the groovy three-pointers from Montag, Ear Pwr, Memory Tapes, and Dog Bite. An intimate demo of an older classic from Speedy Ortiz ("Basketball," naturally). Looping for hours on end (or seconds depending on your taste) in the locked groove department, there's a crunchy blast from new signee Chandos and the delightful drone of Carpark veteran So Takahashi. Light Pollution frontman Jimmy Whispers swoops in on feather-light feet to pay tribute to Tyrone Curtis "Muggsy" Bogues. Safety Scissors throws us "Orange Roughy" before Cloud Nothings members Jayson Gerycz and Thomas J Duke run down the court. Jason Urick of Wzt Hearts tests the ref's patience with "Double Dribble," but we think it's fair and proper. Dan Deacon and Greg Davis skitter about the floor as Adventure claims to say "Eww," but it seems like an exclamation of awe. If you wanna slam, turn to the somewhat solemn "Space Jam" by Toro Y Moi. Also offering a loop with a filmic theme is Sadie Dupuis of Speedy Ortiz on "Theme from Babadook." This all-star team sees crucial assists from number "1" Jake Mandell and foundation player Signer. Lowt Ide (featuring Mike Falcone of Speedy Ortiz) knows the value of sharing. Tying everything together with a right-on time score is graphic designer Rob Carmichael of SEEN, sending us home with some psychedelic picture disc imagery. All proceeds go to the Little Kids Rock non-profit, which is "dedicated to ensuring that all public school children have the opportunity to unlock their inner music makers" by investing in schools, teachers, instruments, and children around the U.S.

Ben Browning is set to follow up his 2012 EP Lover Motion with his debut album entitled 'Turns.' The self-produced album is a collection of songs Browning wrote and recorded in between touring with Cut Copy.

Browning performed and sang nearly everything on the record himself with his longtime friends Gus Franklin, Mark Wilson and Lachlan Dickie providing some additional vocals, bass and drums. The album was recorded in Melbourne and Washington DC where Browning now resides.

Tove Styrke war gerade einmal neunzehn Jahre, als sie Anfang 2012 erstmals hierzulande auf sich aufmerksam machte: nachdem die junge Schwedin in ihrer Heimat einen kometenhaften Karrierestart hingelegt hatte, gelang ihr mit der Single "Call My Name" auch in Deutschland auf Anhieb der Chartentry: der catchy Uptempo-Electropop-Song erreichte die Top 50 der Media Control Charts. Im März 2012 folgte ihr selbst betiteltes Debütalbum, das in Schweden die Top Ten der Longplay Charts erreicht hatte. Im November 2014 legte die Sängerin und Songwriterin mit der "Borderline EP" fünf neuen Stücke vor, die u.a. in Zusammenarbeit mit Songwritern wie Annika Norlin, Linnea Henriksson, Janne Kask, Johan T Karlsson, Calle Ask und Produzent Christian Walz entstanden waren und sich nur schwerlich unter einem Genre-Begriff subsumieren lassen. Styrke selbst nennt als Einflüsse u.a. Gwen Stefani ("Love.Angel.Music.Baby"-Phase), Lykke Li und Squeeze (!). Als erste Single aus ihrem im Juni erscheinen zweiten Album "Kiddo" liegt nun die wunderbare Electropop-Nummer "Ego" vor.

LOT nennst seine musikalische Melange selbst Urban Pop. Natürlich gibt es die glasklaren Pop-Momente in der Musik des 30-jährigen. Da sind die eingängigen Refrains und die Orientierung am Zeitgeist. Aber da sind eben auch die raffinierten
Kunstgriffe, die Doppelbödigkeit. LOTs Lieder sind mehr als nur Fassade - wer mag, kann hinter die Stücke blicken, sich umsehen, näher herantreten und tiefergehen.
Damit steht er ganz in der Tradition von großen deutschen Popmusikern wie Rio Reiser, Jan Plewka oder Udo Lindenberg, an die LOT nicht zuletzt auch wegen seiner markanten Stimme erinnert. Mit viel Liebe für Details und Abgründe erzählt LOT seine Lieder wie kleine Kurzgeschichten. Ganz ohne Pathos oder Phrasen. LOT sagt die Dinge nicht wie er sie gerne hätte, sondern wie sie sind. »Natürlich darf man auch mal einem Gefühl
folgen, sich davon leiten lassen und es mit allerlei Wortwitz ausstaffieren. Aber warum sollte man die banalen Geschichten des Abends nicht erzählen, wie sie waren Mehr haben wir doch gar nicht. Der Rest ist nur Rumerzählerei.

Apostille is the solo musical guise of Glaswegian DIY protagonist Michael Kasparis. Initially a creative harbour from his groups Please and The Lowest Form, Apostille has grown into an explosive synth-punk project unafraid of both physicality and emotional leakage. Fiercely independent in practice and execution, Apostille's stated purpose is to bridge the gap between audience and performer, to connect through the fog of power structures and post-modernism; to ferment a direct pop music unconcerned with control.

Formed by Tokyo University of the Arts graduate Narita Haneda in 2009, then quickly joined by female artist and vocalist Natsuki Ogoda, Passepied (taken from the name of an old French dance close to the Minuet, chosen in memory of Debussy) has gained a dedicated following across Japan by putting out one great record after another. Hot on the heels of the major signing with Warner Music Japan (2012), they're now taking the next step by playing outside of their native county and daring to challenge themselves with their first analog release, Makunouchi-ism, on the French based label Specific Recordings. Their unique blend of 70s disco, 80s jazz rock, 90s J-pop and modern prog-rock has turned all the J-music fans upside down and Passepied are now ready to take the world by storm.

Staubgold presents the first ever reissue of "While the recording engineer sleeps", the first album by The Cocoon, recorded in 1985. The Cocoon was a kind of psychedelic supergroup featuring legendary figures of the German music scene of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s: Gunter Hampel (vibraphone, piano, flute, bassclarinet, lead vocals), Jürgen Gleue (bass, guitar), Matthias Arfmann (guitar, bass organ, electric piano, lead vocals), Rüdiger Klose (drums, vocals) and guest musician Thomas Keyserling (flute, alto saxophone)

Als sich das Duo Sparks aus Los Angeles und das aus Glasgow stammende Quartett Franz Ferdinand zur Zusammenarbeit entschlossen, schien das eine ziemlich aussichtslose Idee. Aber falsch gedacht! For the past eight years the duo of Rob Lowe and Michael Muller have nurtured and refined their creative partnership as the core members of the band Balmorhea. In 2007 they self-released their self-titled debut, an album which captures the duo's unique magic as it first blossomed. In 2014 Western Vinyl is reissuing the band's self-titled album, and making it available on vinyl for the first time. In conjunction with the reissue, we're happy to present two new songs on a limited edition 7" record titled HEIR. With the songs created for the 7" (HEIR I and HEIR II), the band brings everything full circle, returning to the simple structures and melancholic tone that colored their first recordings. HEIR I starts things off slowly with a Wurlitzer's somber tremolo and some gently propulsive electric bass, soon joined by vibes and a soaring violin melody. Modest Mouse wurde 1993 von Gitarrist und Sänger Isaac Brock in Issaquah, Washington, gegründet. Vom Jazz zur Black Music und wieder zurück!
Mit seinen beiden letzten R'n'B- und HipHop-orientierten Black Radio'-Alben gelang
Blue-Note-Pianist Robert Glasper der kommerzielle Durchbruch und Gewinn zweier Grammys. Auch
bei den Kritikern der unterschiedlichsten Lager feierte er mit den Alben voller namhafter
Black-Music-Gaststars einen Riesenerfolg.
Jetzt kehrt er zu seinen Wurzeln im akustischen Trio-Jazz zurück, wiedervereint mit Bassist Vincent
Archer und Schlagzeuger Damion Reider, mit denen er seine beiden ersten Blue-Note-Alben
aufgenommen hatte.
Allerdings ist auch hier die Pop-Musik nie weit entfernt, interpretiert Glasper doch u.a. Songs von

LP includes download code. DFA Records are excited to announce the release of 'Home Economics', the new album from Prinzhorn Dance School.The starting point for the new record was the band's amazing first US shows - two of their own and a triumphant showing at DFA's 12th anniversary - in May 2013.
Inspired by their American adventure, Prinzhorn Dance School brought the recording process in from the cold of the red shed to the heart of their everyday lives.Played and recorded on the move between different flats in Brighton and Hove, then wheeled around town on a hard drive wrapped in a sleeping bag in a specially-adapted suitcase, 'Home Economics' gave them an escape route from 'that frustration you feel when you spend days trying to recapture the intimacy of a particular moment,' Tobin Prinz remembers. 'This time we could just use the original take, so sometimes these songs are almost like field recordings.'

Following her 2013 debut LP Folie Sacré (Shelter Press), Alice Dourlen' new EP stands has a condensed document of a 18 months non-stop tour. Melting experimental and oriental sounds with a strong theatrical aesthetics, Les Sept Salons is also the recording of a smooth transition between 2 languages, Alice Dourlen's coming back to her—french—native tongue on half of the record. Contemporary bridges are getting built here, between psychedelic sounds and horror movie soundracks, between some modern incarnations of Nico.

Go March are an instrumental group based in Antwerp, Belgium. It is a new project born out of jam sessions that have resulted in their debut single 'Rise', an electronic, Germanic-infused, post-rock screamer that is a sort of Mogwai meets Kraftwerk synthesis yet with all the futuristic propulsions of a new, fresh and hungry band making music not just for 2015 but for beyond.

This release comes with a series of remixes divided over 2 vinyls. Part 1 holds from Psychemagik and Dreems while part 2 contains Shigeto & Peaking Lights. Each of them adds their own indistinguishable imprint on the track, unpacking and expanding it to take it across a range of sounds and tones that weave from ambient dub to club floor filler. The original version of 'Rise' is included on each both parts.

Go March are an instrumental group based in Antwerp, Belgium. It is a new project born out of jam sessions that have resulted in their debut single 'Rise', an electronic, Germanic-infused, post-rock screamer that is a sort of Mogwai meets Kraftwerk synthesis yet with all the futuristic propulsions of a new, fresh and hungry band making music not just for 2015 but for beyond.

This release comes with a series of remixes divided over 2 vinyls. Part 1 holds from Psychemagik and Dreems while part 2 contains Shigeto & Peaking Lights. Each of them adds their own indistinguishable imprint on the track, unpacking and expanding it to take it across a range of sounds and tones that weave from ambient dub to club floor filler. The original version of 'Rise' is included on each both parts.

Strings of Gold is the long awaited debut ep from Belgian youngsters I will, I swear. It's the follow up to their highly acclaimed radio single and YouTube smash hit Long Days.
The duo has evolved to a 7 piece band - with strings. They still deal in delicate tunes drenched in gloom that will leave you silent and they're growing more and more impressive with every song they record. Keep an eye on them.

"Welcome Back To Milk" ist bereits das zweite Album der in Newcastle, Kalifornien sesshaften Sängerin, jedoch ihr Debüt als Du Blonde. Und es ist die komplette Neuerfindung ihrer Person. Neuer Name, neuer Look, neue Attitüde. Du Blonde ist keine künstliche Persona. Es handelt sich hier immer noch um Beth - eine Beth kurz nach ihrer neuen Stunde Null. Vergangenheit ist der barocke Kammer-Pop ihres 2012er Albums "Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose". Vergangenheit ist auch die Band, mit der sie dieses Album aufnahm, The Hooves Of Destiny. Ersetzt wurde all das mit schweren Riffs, den obligatorischen drückenden Drums und einer zuweilen aggressiven Gesangsstimme, der man anhört, dass Beth Du Blonde sich ihrem vollen Volumen immer eindringlicher bewusst wird - sei es schreiend in "Chips To Go", gemäßigt-soulig auf der Ballade "Four In The Morning" oder croonend in "After The Show". Wo auf "Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose" noch alle Energie in die Inneneinrichtung der Songs floss, konzentriert sich Du Blonde mit ihrem neuen Album auf die Essenzen ihres neuen Sounds. Abseits eines Albumsongs, der in Zusammenarbeit mit Youth (alias Martin Glover, Ex-Killing Joke) entstand, ist "Welcome Back To Milk" von Jim Sclavunos produziert worden, besser bekannt als Mitglied von Nick Caves Bad Seeds. Eine unüberhörbar bekannte Stimme findet sich außerdem auf dem Du Blonde Album. Zum Song "My Mind Is On My Mind" hat der Future Islands Frontmann Samuel T Herring seine so prägnanten Vocals beigetragen. Das Album ist eine Revolution für Beth Jeans Houghton. Und doch werden Kenner ihres vorherigen Debüts in den psychedelischen Einflüssen Spuren ihres alten Sounds entdecken können. "Glam rock, psych and garage are still main stays," sagt Du Blonde.

Nottingham duo the Sleaford Mods are due to release their third 'proper' album on July 10th via abstract-punk label Harbinger Sound on vinyl, CD and download.

The album will be housed in a gatefold sleeve designed by Steve Lippert and was mastered by Matt Colton at Alchemy. Everything else was done by Sleaford Mods. Key Markets' was a large supermarket bang in the centre of Grantham from the early 1970's up until around 1980,' explains Jason Williamson. My mum would take me there and I'd always have a large coke in a plastic orange cup surrounded by varnished wood trimmings and big lamp shades with flowers on them. Beige bricks with bright yellow points of sale and large black foam letters surrounded you and this is why we called the album 'Key Markets'. It's the continuation of the day to day and how we see it, the un-incredible landscape.' The album was recorded in various periods between summer 2014 through to October of that year. We worked fast as we normally do, the method was the same as the other albums and like the other two, the sound has naturally moved itself along. 'Key Markets' is in places quite abstract but it still deals heavily with the disorientation of modern existence. It still touches on character assassination, the delusion of grandeur and the pointlessness of government politics. It's a classic. Fuck em.'
