Concord & USM are excited to announce the multi-format vinyl reissue of one of the greatest soundtracks in cinematic history, the score to Raiders of the Lost Ark, coming on 180-gram heavyweight black vinyl August 11th 2017. Composed by John Williams, the score for Raiders of the Lost Ark was the only score in the series performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, the same orchestra that performed the scores for the Star Wars saga. The score is most notable for its inclusion of the iconic and now ubiquitous "Raiders March,' which came to symbolize Indiana Jones and was later used in the scores for all subsequent films. Housed in a two-pocket gatefold jacket, this updated two-LP vinyl edition of the Grammy-nominated Raiders of the Lost Ark soundtrack faithfully mirrors the 2008 expanded edition and includes original stills and artwork from the film.

Alan Silvestri's masterful score to Predator has been one of the most sought-after action film soundtracks of all time, sparking no less than three limited-edition CD releases that all successively sold out in short order. And it's little wonder, fresh from back-to-back triumphs with Romancing the Stone and Back to the Future, Silvestri employs a full orchestra, occasional, deft electronic touches, and—most of all—bruising percussion to fashion a score every bit as muscular and hard-hitting as the film itself. Among the truly inspired touches are the eerie, descending strings as the Predator descends to earth, the propulsive military march that introduces the commando team, and the simple trumpet fanfare in He's My Friend' that laments the loss of a fallen comrade. Yet, because the film came out in the '90s during the premature death of vinyl, Predator has NEVER been released on LP...till now. Vertigo is a 1958 American film noir psychological thriller film directed and produced by Alfred Hitchcock. The story was based on the 1954 novel D'entre les morts (From Among the Dead) by Boileau-Narcejac. The film was shot on location in San Francisco, California, and at Paramount Studios in Hollywood. It is the first film to use the dolly zoom, an in-camera effect that distorts perspective to create disorientation, to convey Scottie's acrophobia. As a result of its use in this film, the effect is often referred to as the Vertigo effect'. Vertigo received mixed reviews upon initial release, but is now often cited as a classic Hitchcock film and one of the defining works of his career.

A Pure Formality (Italian: Una pura formalità) is a 1994 Italian-French drama thriller film co-written and directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. It stars Gérard Depardieu as a reclusive writer and Roman Polanski as a police detective. A Pure Formality was nominated for a Golden Palm at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival and received a David di Donatello for Best Production Design.

Several films are inspired by A Pure Formality's idea of the mystery of the living versus the dead. The best example is The Sixth Sense', another is The Others'. Ennio Morricone (10 November 1928) composed and arranged the score of the movie. He has made scores and soundtracks for more than 500 film and television productions, making him one of the most influential and
best-selling film composers since the late 1950s.

Originally titled FEBRUARY, Osgood Perkins' debut film was a festival hit in 2015 and has now been picked up for wider distribution by A24 under a new title, THE BLACKCOAT'S DAUGHTER. The film is a bleakly desolate slow burn, harkening back to such classics as ROSEMARY'S BABY & LET'S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH with its brooding atmosphere and emphasis on perpetual unease and dread rather than jump scares. Alien: Covenant is a science fiction horror film directed by Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator) which stars Michael Fassbender and Katherine Waterston. The film, a sequel to 2012's Prometheus and the sixth in the Alien film series, follows the crew of the colony ship Covenant as they discovered the ruins of the doomed Prometheus expedition on a remote planet. The original score to Alien: Covenant was written by Australian composer Jed Kurzel (The Babadook, Macbeth). Inspired by elements of the original Alien score, Kurzel's work invokes feelings of isolation and abject horror in the face of an unavoidable mounting catastrophe.

In the Line of Fire is a 1993 American action thriller film, directed by Wolfgang Petersen and starring Clint Eastwood, John Malkovich and Rene Russo. The film is about a disillusioned and obsessed former CIA agent who attempts to assassinate the President of the United States and the Secret Service agent who tracks him. Eastwood's character is the sole active-duty Secret Service agent remaining from the detail guarding John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas, at the time of his assassination in 1963.

The movie received positive reviews and was nominated for numerous Academy, ASCAP, BAFTA, Golden Globe and MTV Movie Awards.

Angels & Demons is a 2009 American mystery thriller film directed by Ron Howard and written by Akiva Goldsman and David Koepp, based on Dan Brown's novel.

It is the sequel to the 2006 film The Da Vinci Code, also directed by Howard, and the second installment in the Robert Langdon film series. Tom Hanks reprises his role as Professor Robert Langdon. The film was a huge box office success. Like its predecessor, the movie created
quite some controversy and due to its critical stance' towards the Catholic Church, Angels & Demons was banned in Samoa.

Multiple awards winner Hans Zimmer composed the score for Angels & Demons. He chose to develop the Chevaliers de Sangreal' track from the end of The Da Vinci Code as Langdon's main theme in the film, featuring prominently in the tracks God Particle' and 503'.

The score is considered one of his best, with 160 BPM' becoming a true classic and favourite Zimmer tune. The soundtrack features violinist Joshua Bell on most tracks.

A sequel, titled Inferno (MOVATM135), was released
in 2016.

The first pressing of 750 copies is on 180 gram vinyl, using a secret combination of colours to create the infamous Black Smoke effect.
