"The adventures of writer Newt Scamander in New York's secret community of witches and wizards seventy years before Harry Potter reads his book in school."

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a brand new British fantasy action film directed by David Yates and written by J. K. Rowling, inspired on Rowling's book of the same name.

A spin-off and a prequel of the Harry Potter film series, the film will be the first installment of a series of five films, and stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol and Colin Farrell.

The story opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident… Were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

The score is composed by Grammy, Golden Globe, BAFTA, Academy Award Winner James Newton Howard (Dark Knight, Hunger Games series, I Am Legend, Batman Begins).

Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 2016 Venice International Film Festival, Nocturnal Animals, Tom Ford's haunting romantic thriller has been hailed as a tour de force' (The Independent). Nocturnal Animals marks the second film from writer/director Ford, and his second collaboration with composer Korzeniowski. Their first collaboration, A Single Man, earned Korzeniowski his first Golden Globe nomination for Best Score. The score was a breakout for the composer, earning him the prestigious Discovery Award at the 2010 Ghent Film Festival's World Soundtrack Awards.

Korzeniowski has described his latest score to Nocturnal Animals as embracing two extremes, but switching their traditional genre characterization. The crime plot is scored as an intimate, personal story, while the psychological drama is treated as a thriller. The cold and detached intertwines with poignant and excruciating, the simple and intimate becomes grand and bold."

Sébastien Tellier recorded this 40 minutes long score in 2004, for french long feature NARCO, a film by Gilles Lellouche and Tristan Aurouet, with Guillaume Canet, Benoit Poolevoorde, Zabou Breitman and François Berléand. It features an epic orchestral music & vintage electronics, tender music & lush arragements in the great tradition of french composers from the 70s.

- The First relase was due to Japanese demand.
- After many years of trainspotting, DJS worldwide are able to enjoy remastered versions of much sought after 'La Ballade du Georges' & 'Le Long de la Rivière tendre'.
- Also includes Tellier's now considered classic track La Ritournelle'.

A score as iconic as Jackie O herself by experimental British musician Mica Levi, best known for her ethereal score to 2013's sleeper hit Under the Skin.

Jackie is the upcoming biographical film from Chilean director Pablo Larraín. Starring Natalie Portman (Black Swan) in the title role, the movie follows Jacqueline Kennedy from the days when she was First Lady of the White House to the aftermath of the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Critically lauded since its debut at the Venice Film Festival where it won the Best Screenplay Award, Jackie also received the Platform Prize at the Toronto International Film Festival and is a heavy favourite going into awards season.

The score to Jackie was composed by experimental British musician Mica Levi, best known for her ethereal score to 2013's sleeper hit Under the Skin. Mournful and eerie with a touch of the surreal, Levi has delivered an unmistakable musical tapestry every bit as iconic as Jackie O herself.

Produced by Dallas Austin, Jermaine Dupri, Babyface, Jon-John Organized Noize, and Sean 'Puffy' Combs, CrazySexyCool (1994) is the second studio album by American girl group TLC. The album peaked at three on the Billboard 200 and spent over two years on the Billboard album charts, and spawned two Billboard Hot 100 number one singles, including the worldwide smash hit, 'Waterfalls', and earned them two Grammy Awards.CrazySexyCool has sold over 23 million copies worldwide, becoming the best-selling album by an American girl group, and the second best-selling album worldwide by a girl group behind Spice Girls' Spice. The album was certified Diamond, making TLC the first girl group in history to be awarded Diamond status.
All four singles from the album reached the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100, two of them ('Creep' & 'Waterfalls') reaching number one.

John Carpenter has inspired countless musicians since his earliest minimal, synth-based film scores. The themes to his features like Assault on Precinct 13, Halloween, and Escape from New York have remained instantly recognizable since he penned them nearly four decades ago. In February 2015, Sacred Bones released his first solo record of non-soundtrack music, Lost Themes, to overwhelming critical success. The Horror Master proved that not only could he perfectly score his own films - he could also score the movies in your mind. Eight pivotal contemporary electronic artists were moved to reshape the original songs on Lost Themes in tribute to one the genre's great pioneers. Several of the remixes were released as part of the digital deluxe edition of the album, but Lost Themes Remixed marks the first time any of the tracks have been on vinyl.

REPRESS !!

Originally only released in Japan, this limited-edition LP takes the RZA produced GHOST DOG OST and adds dialogue from the film along with a bonus track from PUBLIC ENEMY that features in the movie. With full-color sleeve and labels and featuring WU-TANG CLAN on several tracks!

Fonit's "B 85", part of the legendary Serie Usignolo, which bears the signatures of the mysterious Coscia (perhaps a moniker of accordionist Gianni) and Formini, is another cult library music release: an orchestral pop record whose tracks are curiously recommended to accompany 'viewings of vast parks, footage of agriculture, ads, moving crowds and congested traffic jams, American working-class districts' with hilarious titles such as "Dayda", "Schizzo", "Palmas", "Murlak" (which casts an incredible fuzz guitar), "Bronx" and "Ciresa Facaud". In two words: a must!

Imagine, if you will, a foreboding homemade electro-acoustic, new age, synth driven, proto-techno, imaginary world music Portastudio soundtrack for a Polish-made animated fantasy based on a Finnish modern folk tale and created for German and Austrian TV, composed in 1982 by two politically driven post-punk theatre performers from a shared house in Leeds!
.
To even the most perspicacious and adventurous of alternative music fans the genuine bloodline of this previously unreleased record already begins to sound like an entire record collection in one sitting. It would be surprising if this project's ambitious and exotic credentials didn't tick at least one box on your musical matrix and without one drop of unnecessary nostalgic hyperbole this project already sounds like the perfect fantasy record that you've never heard. Alternatively we could just say The Moomins and, for many, things would instantly begin to make perfect sense.

>From the same social landscape as Gang Of Four, The Mekons and Impact Theatre Co-operative - armed with a Wasp synthesiser, an ocarina and a cassette of the Robinson Crusoe music taped off the TV, Graeme Miller and Steve Shill used minimum means for maximum mayhem, instilling over 35 years of dreamlike illusory fuzziness and freakiness into the memories of a generation of school age TV addicts waiting for the next 5 minute fix of outernational fuzzy felt folklore. Collected here, all in one place for the first time, Finders Keepers in close collaboration with the original composers finally bring the original homemade micro-melodies and reintroduce them to a musical landscape where fans of vintage electronics, concrète tape effects, pocket percussion and domestic synths are finally ready to be reunited with the magnetic music of Moominvalley.

In a lost music investigation that dates back to the inception of the label itself, Finders Keepers Records are finally able to bring you the fruits of a ten-year dedicated truffle hunt that spans the undergrowth of four distant countries bringing some indefinable musical treats that unite the unlikely bedfellows of new age electronics, ethnological influences, soundtracks and DIY punk - all wrapped up in a gigantic fuzzy ball of nostalgia. Behold the label's second (and this time appropriately Christmas themed) previously unreleased soundtrack 7' single featuring two tracks the 1983 UK broadcast version of 'The Moomins'.
Consisting of homemade electronic and mechanical music heard exclusively via British TV speakers as an eerie backdrop for the Polish made stop-motion adaptation of the Finnish comic strip classic. Custom composed for radically reedited daily five-minute episodes (alongside reconstituted storylines and the narrations / impersonations of comedy actor Richard Murdoch), the short cues written and played by two Leeds based post punk avant-theatre composers helped exacerbate the programme's bizarre spectral storylines and characters earning a firm fixture of fear, intrigue and infatuation in the hearts and memories of a slightly confused electro fed generation.

Ticking all the boxes that attract freak folk enthusiasts and synthusiasts alike, the combined efforts of Steve Shill and Graeme Miller deployed thumb pianos, backwards tape effects, wooden pipes and a Wasp synthesiser (the almost affordable post punk synth of choice) to replace the original 70s German jazz soundtrack, thus dramatically mutating the tonality of the one hundred episode long saga.

Miller and Shill's unique DIY approach follows characters like Moomintroll, Sniff, Snuffkin and the Snork Maiden as they encounter hobgoblins, sand lions and the mysterious Groke complete with their individual detuned electronic voices and thereminesque whimpers.

Based on the original sprites invented by Tove Jansson, the modified fuzzy felt figurines were designed by animator Lucjan Debinski at the legendary Se Ma For studios in Poland for German syndication resulting in what many regard as the definitive and most enigmatic version of the story succeeding further animated adaptations form Japan and Russia.

Sharing the same nostalgia and oblique exoticism as 'The Singing Ringing Tree', 'The Little Mole', 'The Magic Roundabout' and other reconstituted imports seen on programmes like Granada TV's 'Picturebox', 'The Moomins' and its synonymous theme tune and sound effects render this limited 7' vinyl release an essential addition to the record shelves of soundtrack collectors, domestic electronic fans and absent bygone tele addicts as well as animation and design enthusiasts on account of its unique imagery and packaging.

Housed in a very special custom-made felt backed 7' sleeve depicting original production stills, this special edition 7' single comprises a very Moomin take on 'Silent Night' backed with the more upbeat and aptly titled 'Partytime'. Available to independent retailers.

Like the running lengths of the original episodes these rare specimens won't stick around for long so act fast, relax, regress and rejoice for the return of the Moomin trolls.

Everyone knows the rules: Don't get 'em wet. Don't expose them to light. And above all else, don't feel them after Midnight. The only thing as iconic than the rules of Joe Dante's horror / Holiday masterpiece Gremlins, is Jerry Goldsmith's earworm score.

Bouncy, festive and frightful, Goldsmith is a master of genre blending - the soundtrack to Gremlins is not only essential for soundtrack collectors, but also for fans of the film. The complete expanded score available on Vinyl for the first time.

To celebrate this incredible film, we pulled out all the stops: The 2XLP is housed in a UV sensitive gatefold jacket - when exposed to daylight, it reveals additional artwork. The disc sleeves are water sensitive as well: when exposed to a damp cloth, they reveal additional artwork.

Frotee releases a 24-track compilation featuring Grünberg's work for 10 animated films and 1 puppet-play, all music is previously unreleased on any physical format. Therefore, the release of "Anima 1977-2001" can be considered as a notable contribution to the acclaimed soundtrack composer's discography that hopefully cheers up the audiences who have been waiting for this issue to be released. Regardless of the fact that he still continues writing and recording music for films, the latest recording, that was included to this compilation, was made in year 2001.

Even if you find the 1969 film "Eat It", a bit 'too weak-willed a film of social satire and advertising, the first and last movie of Francesco Casaretti', you can not miss out on the soundtrack from the two-time Academy Award winner Ennio Morricone, composed during his most prolific and experimental period.

Morricone wrote a score that is, as always, brilliant, conducted by Bruno Nicolai with the choir I Cantori Moderni di Alessandro Alessandroni. The tracks range between danceable (A5, A6, A7 and even a bit "Dies Irae", B2, a known nursery rhyme almost deformed, interpolated into the main theme), classical motifs, romantic, and with a touch of bossa nova (A1, A2, A3, A4, B1, B3, B4), all of which embrace all the psychological and environmental nuances of alienation and paradox that mark the plot of the film.

There is also a sense of disturbing and abstract experimentalism that make this soundtrack unique. Particularly in "Quinta Variazione / Africami" (A6) with the fuzzy Fender by Alessandroni, and "Settima Variazione" with its three dreamy amazing underwater variants (A7, A8 and B6) and ending with "Eat it", in the same version as the highly collected 45rpm that came out at the time and is, until now, the only existing track on vinyl from this score, a today legendary cult object and sought for the killer heavy drum by Vincenzo Restuccia and distorted psychedelic Fender Stratocaster of Alessandro Alessandroni.

Highly rigid hand-glued Cinedelic cover with a folder insert of 4 facades with photos from the movie.

Finally, after 45 years, comes the soundtrack, from the original master tapes, of the truly mad and weird exploitation euro-erotic-horror cult movie filmed in 1971 (but released only in 1973) by Renato Polselli (Ralph Brown). Incomprehensible and inconceivable beyond the reach of the human intellect, Riti, magie nere e segrete orge nel trecento... shows a cult of pseudo-Satanists in tight red jumpsuit and black cape requiring the blood and eyes of seven virgins in order to resurrect the corpse of the persecuted witch Isabella (Rita Calderoni), who was impaled and burned at the stake some 500 years ago. A precious nonsensical gem, with nervous zooming, nude women's breasts in a colorful scenery, and an overly cryptic storyline, loony.

The soundtrack encapsulates, in its fifteen total tracks (including the 2 released at the time on 45 RPM vinyl), all typical sound elements of the scary music' 'of the seventies but with a hard touch of madness, experimentation and psychedelia. Female vocals give out agonizing and distressing groans, tribal African rhythmic, turned over words, plucked stings of the piano, baroque elements and lot of effects makes this soundtrack a cult object, not even to mention the obsessive care of the packaging.

WeMe and Wil-Ru Records team up to bring you a limited edition vinyl release of Repeated Viewing's (Glasgow native Alan Sinclair) first original film music score for Irish director Daire McNab's modern day neo-giallo murder mystery movie: The Three Sisters. Both the film and the soundtrack are inspired by the golden age of Italian horror cinema, the Giallo genre, which has been making a savage comeback in recent years in both music and movie making. Laden with heavy guitars riffs, stabbing synthesizers, oppressive beats and ominous atmospheres, The Three Sisters score maintains a purist aesthetic, remaining true to the sounds of the original horror scores of the 70s and 80s. The results are a fresh, modern take on a classic sound in the spirit of the original horror film scores perfected by musicians such as Goblin, Fabio Frizzi, Libra, Stevio Cipriani, Carlo Maria Cordio and John Carpenter. This ten track LP is limited to 300 copies and features original cover art by Eric Adrian Lee.

Berto Pisano was a bass player, composer, arranger and Italian conductor, among the interesting soundtracks he composed, there is certainly a major spot reserved for INTERRABANG, the cult giallo/erotic film of 1969 which at the time was quite out of the box as it matched the exotic-erotic genre with the psychological thriller. Strong jazzy themes supported by strings, vibraphone, soft drums, some great bossanova mixed with shakin' mid-tempo tunes and the magnificent vocals of Edda Dell'Orso make this soundtrack a truly beautiful experience.

Mondo is proud to present the 25th anniversary release of the soundtrack to Home Alone. Featuring original music by John Williams, and including such classic Christmas songs such as "White Christmas," "I'll be Home For Christmas," and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." Featuring original artwork by Andrew Kolb, and housed in a die-cut gatefold jacket, with printed inner sleeves.

MONDO is pleased to present John Williams' original soundtrack to JURASSIC PARK. One of the most iconic movie scores of all time. Remastered for the 20th Anniversary of the film, and pressed on 180 gram Black Vinyl with original artwork by JC Richard

A masterpiece of cult cinema, The Terminator was the perfect 80s combination of wooden acting, improbable story-line and inner city lawlessness, all enhanced by this masterful score from Brad Fiedel.

The Terminator is a cult 80's action movie that needs no introduction. Directed by Oscar-winning maverick James Cameron (Titanic, Avatar), The Terminator stars Arnold Schwarzenegger (Predator, Conan the Barbarian) as the unstoppable Terminator, a ruthless killer sent to the past by machines in the future to kill a young woman (Linda Hamilton) who will one day give birth to humanity's last hope. Released in 1984, The Terminator was a landmark film that spawned a multi-billion dollar franchise with numerous sequels and spin offs, and cemented Schwarzenegger's place as a Hollywood action legend.

The score to The Terminator, composed by Brad Fiedel (Fright Night, True Lies), is as striking as the title character. Punctuated with erratic electronic jolts and rapid fire drums giving the impression of pursuit or gunfire, Fiedel's work has been used in each subsequent Terminator film and has spent many years out of print. Now available once again and re-mastered from the original tapes for the 21st century, the iconic themes and synth-heavy score has finally been mixed and sequenced the way the composer intended the album to be heard. This soundtrack will transport you back in time to the terrifying streets of Los Angeles on one bloodsoaked 80s night.

For their seventh release in partnership with SEGA of Japan, Data Discs is delighted to bring together the complete music from the classic Mega Drive games, Golden Axe (1989) and Golden Axe II (1991), in one special package. This release features the unforgettable artwork from both games, supplied on two thick lithographic prints, with the record itself pressed on heavyweight translucent gold vinyl. The outer sleeve features rare artwork from the 1989 Japanese edition, sourced from the SEGA archives and presented on 425gsm cardstock with gold flood printing. As always, the audio has been carefully restored and mastered using the original console as the source, ensuring these memorable soundtracks are preserved for many quests to come!

A group of teenagers from Padova playing together since 1970 (initially under the name Eneide Pop), Eneide had the big chance when, after some dates supporting Van der Graaf Generator, they were offered a recording deal with the legendary Trident label. An album was scheduled for release and recorded in late 1972, but was never issued.

The LP was only released in the first nineties both on vinyl and CD in a limited pressing and has been out of print for many years now. It's a very good album, with ten short songs with little instrumental parts but competent playing, especially when the solo instruments (especially organ, guitar and flute) are given a leading role, like in the longest track on the album, "Non voglio catene", or "Ecce omo" and the instrumental "Oppressione e disperazione".

Recorded on May 25th 1978, the show here presented was the real penultimate one for Goblin in one of their most classic line-ups: Massimo Morante (guitar, vocals), Claudio Simonetti (keyboards), Fabio Pignatelli (bass guitar), Agostino Marangolo (drums), with guest musician Antonio Marangolo on saxophone. Maurizio Guarini, a second keyboard player who joined the band to play in "Roller" (1976), had already left the group in late '76, during the recording sessions for "Suspiria", when Goblin were almost completely fed up with playing live in almost always unadequate places - mostly discoteques and dancing clubs.

After having played a single show in the RAI studios in Turin in 1977 and another one at an exclusive Cinevox Record event in the following year, Goblin were invited to participate to the MIMS (Mercato Internazionale Musica e Spettacolo - International Music and Entertainment Market) in Sanremo, a 7-day happening especially made for musicians and music businessmen. The band's show consists of the "Profondo Rosso / Deep Red" main theme, two tracks from "Roller" ("Aquaman" and "Snip Snap") and five from "Il Fantastico Viaggio dei Bagarozzo Mark", an Italian-sung LP (very uncommon for a band well known for their instrumental soundtrack efforts) that had just been released at the time.

In director Justin Tipping's feature debut Kicks, nothing is as simple as it seems. It is the story of a fifteen-year-old Brandon longing for a pair of the freshest sneakers that money can buy. Assuming that merely having them on his feet will help him escape the reality of being poor, neglected by the opposite sex and picked on by everyone - even his best friends. Working hard to get them, he soon finds that the titular shoes have instead made him a target after they are promptly snatched by Flaco, a local hood. Brandon goes on a mission to retrieve his stolen sneakers.

Composed by the famous "Big 3" film composers Piero Umiliani, Piero Piccioni and Armando Trovajoli as well as pioneering musicians such as Giorgio Gaslini, Chet Baker, the MJQ's John Lewis and Sandro Brugnolini, here are some of the earliest jazz soundtracks that emerged from the golden age of 'Commedia All'Italiana' through to cult experimental cinema (by film directors such as Mario Monicelli through to Michelangelo Antonioni).

The expertly curated collection of high quality jazz ranges from the swing to cool/hard bop of the late 1950s to the expanding possibilities of both the modal and 'third stream' fusions in the early 1960s. Pressed on 180gm vinyl, this is specialist, old school vinyl that features extensive, in-depth sleeve and insert notes written by Jazzwise film expert Selwyn Harris and the Sienna jazz Archivist/author Francesco Martinelli.

Seven Years In Tibet is the 1997 American war drama film based on the same-titled book written by Austrian mountaineer Heinrich Harrer on his experiences in Tibet.

In the film the main characters Heinrich Harrer and Peter Aufschnaiter, played by Brad Pitt and David Thewlis, are mountaineering in British India (now Pakistan) and their German citizenship results in their imprisonment by the British in a camp at the Himalyan foothills. They escape prison and flee to Tibet where Harrer befriends the 14th Dalai Lama. The Dalai Lama becomes one of his tutors and a close friendship starts.

The music of Seven Years in Tibet is composed by American film composer John Williams. He has won 5 Academy Awards, 4 Golden Globe Awards, 7 BAFTA Awards, and 21 Grammy Awards for his musical work.

With a career spanning over six decades he has composed some of the most popular and recognizable film scores in cinematic history, to many of the highest-grossing films of all-time, including Jaws, the Star Wars series, Superman, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, the Indiana Jones series, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List and the first three Harry Potter films.

Classical cellist Yo-Yo Ma is featured on the title theme and on most of the instrumental tracks plus there are several tantric excerpts from the Tibetan Gyuto Monks.

The Maginificent Seven is a remake of the 1960 same-titled western film, which in turn was a remake of the 1954 Japanese classic film Seven Samurai.

As the town Rose Krick is put under the siege of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue the residents enlist the help of seven outlaws. Headed by bounty hunter Sam Chisolm they ought to protect them while they prepare for the anticipated violent confrontation. However, upon meeting the town's residents, the Seven find themselves fighting for much more than money. The film stars the actors Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D'Onofrio, Lee Byung-hun, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Martin Sensmeier, Peter Sarsgaard and Haley Bennett.

Multiple Award Winning composer James Horner was asked to write the film's score, but died on 22th of June 2015. Nearly a month after his death movie director Antoine Fuqua learned that James Horner had already starting working on music for the film before filming commenced. Horner's friend and score producer Simon Franglen co-composed the score after Horner's death.

Based on the Irvine Welsh novel of the same name, the film version of 'Trainspotting' directed by Danny Boyle became a cult sensation. Focused on the heroin subculture of Edinburgh in the 1980s, the film is occupied with surrealism, black comedy and features a great soundtrack. This album includes tracks from Iggy Pop, New Order, Blur, Underworld and many more.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iconic drama, the original soundtrack is being reissued on CD and vinyl. Having been out of print for a long time, the 180g vinyl features replica original artwork that includes special silver spot finishes throughout - front, back, booklet and picture labels, as well as bright pantones. There will be a limited run on orange vinyl before moving to black once sold out.

Federale is a seven-piece ensemble based in Portland, OR. Spearheaded by longtime Brian Jonestown Massacre bassist Collin Hegna, the band was conceived as an outlet to channel inspiration from 60's & 70's European soundtracks, particularly those from Italy made famous by the Spaghetti Western & Giallo genres. In 2014 Federale contributed several songs to Ana Lily Amirpour's acclaimed gothic vampire film noir, A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night,' as well as the director's 2016 film The Bad Batch."
Their fourth album, All The Colours Of The Dark' finds Federale entering new territory. Though the new record contains cinematic instrumentals that the band is known for, it also sees Federale expanding its vision to narrative songs in the baritone driven style of heroes Lee Hazelwood, Scott Walker & Nick Cave. Murder, revenge, regret, power and corruption are the lyrical themes of this collection.

'Satan's Slave' - The original soundtrack to Norman J Warren's (Terror/Prey/Inseminoid) nihilistic tale of Witchcraft and occultism conjures an uneasy yet compelling experience for fans of exploitation OST's, and a veritable smorgasboard of dark progressive samples for the producers. The ritualistic tribal beats of 'Sacrifice' could have been culled from the KPM library catalogue (John Scott was a regular session player for them) while 'Drive to Alexander's and crash' is forgotten filmic UK Modal Jazz with a tropical flavour which harks back to Scott's legendary Columbia Lansdowne LP from 1967 'Communication', a firm Gilles Peterson favourite. 'A walk in the grounds' is pure mellow heat - fuel for the MPC 2000, with its crisp Fender Rhodes chords and 'Dusty Fingers' vibe, and 'Unused Cue' which is an additional recording we discovered on the reels is a fiery free-Jazz odyssey for explorers of the fifth dimension!

The complete 'Satan's Slave' soundtrack, which is being presented here for the first time on any format, has been lovingly remastered from the original half-inch master tapes courtesy of Sean P(Z Records), and sounds as edgy, fresh and relevant as it did back in the swinging seventies.

Pour the Absinth, switch off the lights and say a little depraved prayer!

Full disclosure we LOVE Jason Lei Howden's love letter to early Peter Jackson , It has the same sort of scrappy feel as Bad Taste complete with outrageous splatter effects but with a super sweet central love story, and metal... lots of metal.

The heavy metal zom com is currently airing on Netflix.

Deathgasm. Death-gasm. DEATHGASM. Death Waltz Recording Company are proud to present the soundtrack to the greatest fusion of heavy metal and horror since 1985: DEATHGASM. A 2015 homage to the Kiwi splatter of Peter Jackson directed by newcomer Jason Lei Howden, DEATHGASM itself is a band formed by social outcasts in a New Zealand high-school which unintentionally summon a horrific demon via a cursed sheet of music. As you'd expect, the losers must set aside their D20's and become the heroes their school needs, soundtracked by a ton of screeching vocals and demonic riffs.

Shredded through the record are some of the greatest metal bands ever that you've never heard of, straight from the underground. Thrill to the skull-crushing fury of Axeslasher, Beast Wars, Nunslaughter, Elm Street, The Wretched End, and legendary Norwegian black metal act Emperor. Also leading you through the album's narrative is dialogue from the film, making it like a really fucked-up version of those books on records we all had when we were little bastards. DEATHGASM is a brutal tribute to the combined power of the greatest musical and film genre in history, and if you're not devil-horning while listening, GWAR may just show up and crowbar your rabbit's head off. And remember: lowercase is for pussies!
