Nu Vision is a modern salon for visionary leaders, fighting for their art, standing by truths, defending voices, honoring progenitors, whilst pushing forwards towards a new paradigm. The band all have their own stories and extensive discographies, records released on labels you might know, gigs played in places you might have attended but none of that matters. This is a new beginning. A group. A collective.A movement. Nu Vision is a band in the classic do-you-believe-in-alchemy sense. Equal parts rhythm, damage, and deep feeling. Their friends at DFA noted that the album “sounds like Depeche Mode scoring a Michael Mann montage: brooding,motorik, and shot through with black-and-blue beauty.” this idea is taken further in the first video from the album for track one / side one “Time” that launches the project publically along with the albums announcement. The palette of ‘The Seed’ is defined and refined in the best way. It’s an album that opens up many pathways. Brisker, freakier tracks like “Shadow In The Dark,” “R U Serious?” and “Humanity” run towards a softer finish with “Somedays” and the seven-minute, eyeliner-smearing closing ballad, “Lullaby Garden.” These are proper songs made with vintage machines, with a sound that carries obvious influences. ’ The Seed’ pulses forward as the body of the beast is turned inside out, wearing a beating heart on its sleeve, honoring those who left us too soon - DAF’s Gabi Delgado, Nitzer Ebb’s Douglas McCarthy, Depeche Mode’s Andrew Fletcher, and Sandwell District’s Juan Mendez. It’s important to note the emotional core of ‘The Seed’ album is the song ‘Synchronicity’ that is filled with both love and regret, the story of losing a friend without properly making amends. It is unquestionably heartbreaking, but is also delivered with a pang of hope, the feeling that with so many sunrises caught, so many additions and subtractions in life, a perspective has been gained. This is no freshman effort; but rather, a masterclass in continuing sonic education, delivering a unified experience from beginning to end. A New Vision

Dan had called Sad Piano House a cousin to his previous Daphni track 'Cloudy', the Kelbin remix of which had become a much beloved fan favourite. So it was only a matter of time before Kelbin, real name Favaretto, got to work on his version of Sad Piano House - a beautiful reworking marrying the heart tugging melody of the original with Kelbin's trademark razor sharp production.

CER015 sees Celestial Echo bring back one of the great modern soul 45s, Ramsey & Company – “Love Call”.

Coming out of New York in the late ’70s, Ramsey & Company was led by Mainor Ramsey, with the group originally playing the Catskills supper club circuit. Their only single was released privately on Ramsey’s own Ramco label, with copies sold at shows and barely making it into wider distribution. Like so many great soul records, it found its real afterlife much later, becoming a favourite across the UK modern soul and rare groove scene.

“Love Call” is the reason this record has carried such a reputation for so long. A beautifully arranged modern soul dancer, it has that perfect late ’70s balance of groove, song and musicianship. On the B-side, “Leg Grease” brings the funk.

Original copies are now almost impossible to find, often selling for serious money when it turns up and even the Lotus Land reissue has become expensive in its own right. This Celestial Echo edition puts the track back into circulation properly, cut loud and ready for the DJs and soul heads who have been waiting on a clean copy.

Pablo Sánchez´s new solo album “Archipiélago” is out now. The new long player, a follow-up to his “Nocturnal” album as Basic Need will be released on Sisternoise Records and is a 42 minute voyage sailing through uncharted waters.

Every archipelago is a constellation of islands, distinct yet bound by invisible tides. Archipiélago, the latest work from Pablo Sánchez, follows this same geography of sound and memory. Its islands are not of sand and rock, but of places which inspired the artist throughout his life; Buenos Aires, Caracas, Puerto Rico, New York, Madrid, Berlin, and Barcelona. Each city has left a trace, a shoreline carved into Sánchez’s musical journey and left a distinctive musical mark.

The ten songs gathered here are like sovereign entities, each with its own character, its own rhythm, its own language. Together they form a single territory, a map drawn by musical experience, longing, and imagination. They are ports of call, but also fragments of a larger voyage, where tradition and experimentation, nostalgia and discovery, coexist to create a common territory. Along the way guest magicians Animal Feelings and Salomeya add their vocal sparks to the voyage.

Archipiélago is not a destination but a map of crossings, a territory of sound where the journey itself becomes home.

Riding the least likely commercial success of the 90s with Modern Rock chart topper "Pepper," Austin odd rockers Butthole Surfers returned to the studio in 1998 for the followup, After The Astronaut. Leaning further into experiments with electronics, hip-hop, acid grooves, and the otherwise unusual, the result is a dizzying orbital trip expanding the idea of what's possible in rock music.

Disputes between the Butthole Surfers and Capitol Records left the album unreleased, while the band regrouped and re-recorded some of the material for 2001's Weird Revolution, released through Hollywood Records. After The Astronaut collected dust, eventually developing a mythic status.

A quarter century later, Butthole Surfers are realizing their vision for After The Astronaut. Newly mixed by guitarist/producer Paul Leary, After The Astronaut corrects the record on the band's activity in the late 90s with a bold, idiosyncratic evolution of their sun-fried psychedelia.

Fishtailing across a trimmed sod lawn, the parking lot of a box-store strip mall, a fast food drive-thru––it’s a hyperreal Americana fantasy that calls Caroline Rose (she/they) home on 'Gentling the Horse at the Walt Whitman Mall'. The release doubles as the debut of SUCK records, the LA based artist’s own imprint—a fitting next form for an enigmatic musician whose work resists settling into one shape.

'Gentling the Horse at the Walt Whitman Mall' stretches the ordinary into the uncanny. The record pairs sharply observed, memoiristic songwriting with expansive guitar textures that render the everyday with violent clarity and mythic scale. Beneath its melodic sweep and signature hooks runs a current of violence and American dream leakage.

It’s Ennio Morricone with an AR15: surf guitars, spaghetti westerns, and suburban dread colliding until they become their own sharp vernacular. Reality is unstable, so we’ll keep telling stories—and for Rose, the sinister slickness of the everyday grows a new head.

Working with producer John Congleton, Rose built the record through humor, layering, and instinct rather than polish. Songs like “Conversations with Shiv,” “Goddamn Train,” and “Everything in its Right Place” were recorded in studio for the first time, with sessions that prized first impulses over perfection. The result is panoramic but never precious—songs that feel meticulously constructed while always threatening to mutate.

Over the last six years, Rose’s music has evolved alongside their work organizing around stronger labor protections and collective bargaining rights for musicians and crews. Creative and political practice have increasingly become the same project as Rose’s career has taken on its hyper-independent form. Those concerns echo throughout 'Gentling the Horse'. Its landscapes are populated by inherited systems that feel absurd yet inescapable, where humor becomes a survival tactic and satire reveals the quiet violence embedded in everyday Am

A hot slice of Latin dance music — produced by the legendary Masters at Work, the house icons and masters of that Nuyorican sound, “Little” Louie Vega and Kenny “Dope” González — from Los Amigos Invisibles, the Venezuelan band who have spent decades perfecting the art of getting away with everything.

Packed with raunchy songs (of course) that fuse every American genre under the sun — from salsa to acid jazz to disco to funk — this record tore up dance floors twenty years ago.

Three years after the release of their debut album, Do Nothing return with their much anticipated sophomore, 'Friend World'. The Nottingham four piece consisting of Chris Bailey, Kasper Sandstrøm, Charlie Howarth, Andrew Harrison, emerge bolder, self-assured and more energetic than ever.

Lead single 'Stars' gives an insight into the upcoming LP, synth-laden with hypnotic riffs, meandering vocals and bouncing basslines. The single, already a fan favourite, paves the way for listeners to enter the 'Friend World' that Do Nothing have created. Passenger - real name Mike Rosenberg - was inspired by recently (and unexpectedly) becoming a husband and father. ‘Wild Love’ captures the whirlwind of emotions as their relationship developed - the excitement, the upheaval, the trepidation and the joy. Passenger says, “Going from a working relationship to a romantic one is scary. The older you get, the more of the spikier sides of love you’ve seen. Things go sour for all sorts of reasons and with someone so close, the stakes are so much higher. ‘Wild Love’ is the title track because it sums up the theme of the album. Do you give in to your doubts and do nothing, or do you face your fears and go for it? I wrote the song as I was realising that the choice was obvious.” While the ‘Wild Love’ album charts the couple’s personal experiences - taking the plunge, cherished early memories together, the realisation that this new love could be one that lasts - the single ‘It Was Gonna Be You’ is an outlier from a previous chapter in his life, a story of discovering that relationships can rapidly unravel. It is set to a classic Passenger sound of bright, buoyant melody coloured with flourishes of piano and Americana-tinged guitar twangs. Recorded in 1988 and originally released in 1992 by Discos Musart on cassette, this landmark album by Chalino Sánchez, the King of Corridos, makes its long-awaited vinyl debut. Backed by the powerful tambora sound of Los Guamuchileños, its ten tracks—six written by Chalino—blend heartfelt love songs and vivid corridos inspired by life in Sinaloa. AAA lacquers cut from the original master tapes deliver the definitive listening experience.

Flowgeist emerges from a shared inquiry into sound and aesthetics. Genre remains peripheral; meaning stays tethered to sensation. The self-titled debut, released on Evighet Records (EVIGHET007), follows that logic across a full record, moving from matter to memory and giving passing states somewhere to stay. Trip Hop, Drum and Bass, post-punk, breakbeat, EBM, Techno and modular electronics all surface within it, summoned only where a feeling demands them, with acoustic instruments retaining their grain inside the electronic frame. That inward attention eventually turns outward, closing the side on a colder note about how influence gets performed and mistaken for substance. The B side works through broken rhythm and cinematic scale. It examines political language for the seams in its polish, follows a relationship reduced to proximity without real contact, and rises to the record's most forceful club passage before settling into "Crystal Muse," where Massimo Capobianco's guitar moves alongside an extended modular passage, luminous and unhurried. The album closes by turning its attention to composition itself, treating the act of writing music as a way of holding onto experience before it disappears. Across both sides, the record travels from immediate, bodily feeling toward something more contemplative, carrying the same emotional attention from private entanglement into wider systems and finally into the quiet work of making the record itself.

The Forbidden Planet is the new album by Tomorrow Comes The Harvest, featuring Rasheeda Ali. The album explores a wide range of electronic and acoustic improvisational conversations, creating expansive and constantly evolving sound landscapes.

The recording carries forward many of the qualities that have made Tomorrow Comes The Harvest so distinctive from its beginnings. The project originated through the percussive dialogue between Jeff Mills and the late Afrobeat pioneer Tony Allen. When thetwo creative forces first came together several years ago, what emerged was more than a collaboration or musical conversation. They opened a pathway-a way of creating through instinct, exchange, rhythm and freedom. That pathway continues to lead toward new horizons, and The Forbidden Planet is evidence of just how far it can travel.

The album is the result of an intricate creative process spanning nearly two years, connecting a series of recording sessions at notable studios including Criteria Studios in Miami, Soda Sound, and the legendary Studio Ferber in Paris, France.

The Forbidden Planet explores the more cerebral dimensions of the band's vast musical language. An idea is introduced, and almost immediately it begins to transform. Themes are questioned, reshaped and redirected as the musicians respond instinctively to one another.

As Tomorrow Comes The Harvest is known for, the performances were recorded largely through improvisation, often capturing the energy and spontaneity of an almost one-take process. These recordings were later carefully refined and shaped into the compositional structures heard throughout the album.

The creative seeds have been planted in fertile ground, allowing ideas to grow naturally and without restriction. In rhythm and in spirit, each musician contributes an essential voice to the conversation. Within that collective precision lies something even more important: a shared love of musical freedom and the possibility of creating without boundaries.

Filmed & recorded live at London Jazz Café on September 27th, 2025, the footage captures highlights from the band's unique fusion of electronic music, jazz, percussion and improvisation.

In 2022 bracht Hendrik Lasure met 'Het Wiel' voor het eerst een album onder eigen naam uit. Vier jaar later krijgt die plaat een vervolg met 'De Val': elf eigenzinnige Nederlandstalige songs waarin Lasure een wereld bouwt die ergens tussen het alledaagse en het magisch-realistische zweeft.

Waar 'Het Wiel' nog terugblikte op de kindertijd, draait 'De Val' rond verbinding en het gebrek eraan. Melancholie en sehnsucht lopen als een rode draad door het album, maar Lasure verpakt ze in poëtische taferelen waarin de gewone wereld voortdurend een beetje uit haar voegen raakt. Mensen gooien stenen in de slotgracht van een paleis, de avondzon kleurt de hemel paars en een toevallige ontmoeting kan zomaar een heel nieuw universum openen.

Ook muzikaal kiest Lasure voor de essentie. Voor 'De Val' verruilde hij zijn vertrouwde piano tijdens het schrijven voor een gitaar, een beperking die de songs hun eigen vorm en directheid gaf. Producer Koen Gisen hielp die wereld verder uitbouwen, samen met onder anderen Meskerem Mees, Jolan Decaesteker (Ão, Mooneye), Aya Suzuki en Sep François.

Het resultaat is een spaarzaam gelaagde plaat met veel ruimte voor Lasures karakteristieke manier van zingen: ergens tussen melodie en poëtisch parlando. Referenties als Spinvis, Mount Eerie, Sun Kil Moon en PJ Harvey zijn nooit ver weg, maar 'De Val' heeft bovenal een heel eigen signatuur. Avant-kleinkunst, nu-pop ofiets waarvoor nog geen naam bestaat: Lasure maakt muziek voor wie graag even uit de werkelijkheid verdwijnt.

Disco Collected celebrates the dance music which originally developed from R&B, soul, and funk from the late 60s and 70s and turned into a mighty subculture in discotheques, with Studio 54, Manhattan, New York as one of the most famous and extravagant discos all over the world.
