"Those who physically suffer from dopamine depletion seek ways to experience maximized pleasure." Hong Kong's hyper-everything enfant terrible, S.Y. delivers a much darker complex Ep than his two previous offerings under a new alias, a creative therapy of sorts apparently dealing with substance abuse and unstable mental conditions which luckily for everyone translates into more leftfield dancefloor gold with the brilliantly nondescript '$ LFO' and weirdo power drive of the title track on A side, followed on the flip by a surprisingly beautiful ode to concrete music, and a deeply haunting field recording piece that closes a perfectly round EP... or does it;) Sleeve artwork by Matt Damhave
JAMAL MOSS aka HIEROGLYPHIC BEING & THE CONFIGURATIVE OR MODULAR ME TRIO serve up this special limited 3-track EP on colored vinyl. The title track is a jackin' phaser workout, while "DISCOTIC COMPUSERVE" is minimal bleep at it's best and
"HOW FAR BACK.." is a contemplative lowbit riddim!

Copenhagen's Echocord Colour returns this August with Stephen Brown's 'Power Factor' EP, featuring three originals from the UK Techno stalwart.
Scottish producer Stephen Brown is a name synonymous with Techno across the globe having been releasing material since the mid nineties on imprints such as Derrick May's Transmat, Subject Detroit, Skudge Records, Ben Sims' Theory and Holland's Djax Up Beats amongst many more.
Here we see Brown join the roster of Echocord's sub-label Colour, slotting him in alongside the likes of Mike Dehnert, Nick Ho¨ppner, Luke Hess and Deadbeat in the back- catalogue.
Up first on the release is 'Sandtext', a stripped-back dubbed out opening cut fuelled by a robust kick and minute percussive hits running alongside a sturdy sub bass drive and spiralling dub stabs before 'Wet' takes things even deeper via muted kicks, shuffling shakers and delayed synth chords. 'Back Stroke' then rounds out the release with an amalgamation of airy reverberated stab hits, rumbling low end pulsations and a thunderous kick drum to once again create an understated, hypnotic composition.

Flippers at the ready... High Scoring EP from one of the hardest working producers we know. The A side is a pacey affair - a multi-ball dancefloor battle against the Grand Lizard. The two equally neon treasures on the B side were recorded at the gear laden Worm studio, Rotterdam in 2017. This is another cracking solo outing from the Ju Ju & Jordash / Magic Mountain High linchpin. BIG TIP!

100 copies only. Comes on yellow transparent vinyl. Mastered by Helmut Erler at Dubplates & Mastering, Berlin.
The next releases on Eotrax will round off a busy 2018 for the label and set out an exciting proposition for a future way of working and releasing music. In what will be an ongoing, curated collaboration series artists will be invited to make work together for the label, without restrictions on genre, style or aesthetics. An open environment of collaboration and experimentation which will then be released by the label.
To launch this series label head Eomac teams up with four different artists over four slabs of vinyl, to be released sequentially over four months. The collaborations are improvised and composed, wild and emotive, unexpected and expected and all of them resulting in music that would never have been made by either artist individually.
The final installment comes from the UK via Berlin sonic renegade Kamikaze Space Programme and Eomac. What started as an attempt to synthesise the heaviest reese bass possible turned into a session of futuristic, noisy soundscapes. 'Environment 1' takes inspiration from grime, dub, noise, jungle and techno to create a track that sounds like all of the above and none of the above. The more experimental 'Environment 2' on the flip utilises the very same sounds and processes but moves into abstract terrain with a dense, noisy take on feedback and drone.
With records already out from Paula Temple, Sean Carpio and Demian Licht this final collaboration is the one that started the whole concept and as such is a fitting close to a diverse and colourful series.
Meandyou return with the ten instalment of the collective's record label, this time presenting the debut release by Palaphor.
Palaphor is one half of the house and techno duo Juniper, the original Meandyou resident DJs that have helped shape the sound and direction that the collective have developed over the last 10 years. Previously Juniper have appeared on Smallville, Underground Quality, Ominira and Nous.
Time Spirit EP is made up of 4 tracks that capture the deeper and hazy side of Meandyou that the Manchester club night regulars know well.

Helltown Acid Militia return for their forth outing on the RE-303 imprint, this time with some serious electro influences. The first track "Dear Mr Stinson" is an obvious nod to someone who's music has recently had a huge influence on the lads current local sound ("futureacid"). The second track "Is Love" takes us deeper into the set with poignant bass tones and emotive stabs. "Missing Time" is another epic adventure into time and space which feels much like standing in a field at 5am somewhere in the 90s, the final climax of the track is an electro reprise of "Is Love" on the flip. The EP ends with "Alive" which has even more electro overtones. This might just be the lads finest record to date.

A truly essential EP of the deepest Electro-Funk sounds.
From the vaults of Canadian power-house record label Big Shot we're proud to present a fully legitimate and remastered repress of Hi-Bias' seminal self-titled EP from 1990. Produced by Big Shot records mastermind Nick Fiorucci and Michael Ova this 4 tracker mines a more Electro / Freestyle centric sound that glides effortlessly. Cool, sleek, bass-heavy and immaculately programmed and mixed, the EP is an essential for lovers of analogous grooves, bass and timeless machine-funk. For example, EP opener 'Wind It Up' does exactly what it says, metronomic, clicking drum machines lead us into some epic synth breaks and a tense, sparse mood... a dramatic build-up that eventually crescendos into a deep, futuristic bassline, beautifully mixed and produced this sonic high-quality feeling is evident across the whole record, from the downtempo blissed-out Hip-Hop beats of 'More More More', to the dystopian Electro grooves of 'Don't Look Back' and 'Drive It Home' the whole record is totally heavyweight in every way. Original copies of this 1990 masterpiece are very very hard to come by with second hand copies changing hands for tidy sums when available.
This is the first in a long line of Big Shot reissues, all remastered from the original source materials and with the full involvement of the rights holders.
A collaboration between Above Board distribution and Big Shot records, Canada. Remastered by Optimum Mastering, Bristol UK. 2018.

Get ready for some electro elegance — Maceo Plex and Lone Romantic presents a new series of releases simply called 'Regenerator' - a title that imbues the values of what the two artists and curators will do; search and restore the glories of electro records that have been unheard for far too long. The inaugural release of the label begins with a strong three-tracker from DJ Emile, entitled 'Beast From The Middle East'. Originally released in 1997 on the now-defunct Arizona-based Swell Records imprint, this hefty A-side challenges perceptions of electro with its cinematic opening section and cathartic breakdown, supplanted by its rugged and rambunctious rhythmic tendencies.
The second track, known as 'The Bomb Shelter Speech' is an effective ode to the passionate, personal relationship that fans of freestyle, hip-hop and turntablism have come to carry with them in and out of the rave; the familial yet familiar bond that people share surrounded by supporters of the beats that lift them up — all with the wise words of Emile himself heralding the precious moment. Finally, the release closes out with a methodically paced and moody remix of 'Beast From The Middle East' courtesy of legends DJ Z-Trip and Tom Chasten (known previously for their collaborative moniker Space Invaders). Electro is alive and well — with no signs of stopping its fervent growth; and with Regenerate, it's only poised to become more prevalent to the dance in the times to come.

As the darkest month of the year draws upon the northern hemisphere, bbbbbb records introduces another Icelandic artist; the elusive electro producer Kuldaboli. With roots in hardcore-punk, metal-core and heavy-metal, Kuldaboli's electro bangers are as dark and grimy as they come. 'Ancient civilisations, 20th century history, the possibility of the existence of other dimensions along with the unbearable emptiness of human existence' are amongst the most prominent subjects of Kuldaboli's creations.
'Ég elska þig eilífa stríð' consists of five hypnotic tracks, some of which are overlaid with cryptic texts; ominous poetry recited in Icelandic. Icelandic is a dying language in many ways, only spoken by around 350.000 people and constantly giving in from outwards influences. Who knows, perhaps it will be wiped out all together in the near future. But then again, humanity might not persist for much longer either. Only time will tell.
The 'Vista' EP caps off an intensely busy year for Geoff Kirkwood, otherwise known as Man Power. The British DJ/producer has become quite the 'tour de force' in 2018, with releases and remixes for Futureboogie, DFA, Correspondant, Exotic Series, Skint Records, and his very own Me Me Me imprint.
So it seems quite fitting to seal a productive 12 months with a release on Richy Ahmed's Four Thirty Two, a label that itself has been firing out big releases this year from EJECA, Jansons & Senzala and Ahmed himself. And joining this big end of year party, enter stage left, Roman Flu¨gel, who delivers an absolutely stellar remix of 'Vista'.
Meaty synths and clattering 909 drums are doused in futuristic Italo disco vibes for
'Outrider', whilst a winning combo of breakbeats and acid affected bass provide the
backbone of the simply gargantuan 'Vista'. Roman Flu¨gel's interpretation of the title
track brings the break to the fore, playfully teasing out the acidic sounds and surging
strings for another truly memorable remix that we've come to expect from Mr. Flu¨gel.
Closing the EP, 'Poly Pop' delivers a vivid and bright burst of melody over clanking
percussion and sturdy beats, filled with 'end of the night' optimism that's become Man
Power's forte.

A special and personal release for Verdant Recordings as label boss Andy Green curates some favourite producers onto a double pack of deep, melodic techno with dub overtones. Following releases on Guy J's Lost & Found Records and Gorje Hewek & Izhevski's Shanti Moscow Radio, Cornucopia makes his debut on the much loved Canadian imprint microCastle with 'Pursuit Of The Orange Butterfly'. The stunningly beautiful 'The Day You Got Older and Stronger' immediately got people talking, earning support from Lee Burridge, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and more. There's a pretty strong suspicion that Cornucopia isn't really a new face, and a release on Lost & Found is unlikely to put those suspicions to rest.

Spanish producer ORBE debuts on Maceo Plex's Ellum Black imprint with a demonstrative three-track set of dancefloor variety, entitled Excited. The EP functions with a distinct flavor for all three tunes, effective for dancefloor use at different times throughout the night — nudged between peaks and valleys with ease and elegance. After previously releasing material for the likes of Hivern Discs and Lone Romantic, this Spanish talent has found a way to elevate himself to a place in the techno community that lends himself to experiment with his productions and exude fantastic results.
Beginning with 'Abnormal Silence', the EP sets a tone by not being afraid to deviate from the standard '4×4' sound, while trickling in efficient uses of static, glitch and rumbling bass between hypnotic snare-centric rhythms. The title track, 'Excited' follows that up with a loopy, lucid-dreaming techno roller that experiments with half-step, snare drops alongside evocative vocal cues. Finally, with the conclusive sounds of 'Loving Brussels', ORBE caps off this extravagant journey with regal chord progressions, bass that hits with heft, and a build-up that culminates to a wondrous end-point for a journey that was worth the ride that came with. Ellum Black is opening doors to different strands and avenues of techno, and with ORBE's release — the path to dancefloor uniformity looks to be a reality sometime soon.

Italian duo Subradeon team up with Radio Slave's Rekids to deliver four illuminating cuts entitled 'Walking Through Motown EP'.
Beginning their musical journey in Southern Italy over a decade ago, the now Berlin-based duo Subradeon have been building steady momentum by releasing a handful of EPs on Detroit's Motech Records, trau-ma and their own Subradeon Records label. Gradually honing their soulful productions with an emphasis on
Detroit techno - the duo quickly caught the attention of Rekids label boss Radio Slave. They now join the reputable Berlin imprint with 'Walking Through Motown EP', closing the label's 2018 to follow lauded releases from Sebo K, Markus Suckut, P.Leone, SRVD, Nocow, and many more accomplished names.
'Walking Through Motown (Part 1)' is an uplifting track with mesmerising leads and swirling synths combining to create ethereal atmospheres before 'Walking Through Motown (Part 2) offers beautifully resonating kicks, undulating chord progression and melodious synth flutters. On the flip, 'The Law Is Spiritual' maintains the symphonious spectacle balancing inspiriting vocals, rattling percussion and a weighty bassline whilst 'We Will Still Resist' employs fluid drums, looping piano keys and euphoric elements to finish.

Fresh from releases on his own Polymath Records, as well as Natura Sonoris and Sodai, that have seen support from the likes of Maceo Plex, Bicep, and ANNA; UK producer Third Son debuts on Dusky's 17 Steps imprint with the 'Machine Love' EP.
The synth laden 4 tracker utilises electro, acid, techno and breakbeat influences to provide a rugged and bold reflection of the current clubbing landscape; one that is set to melt underground dance-floors this autumn.
'Machine Love's squelchy synths and gritty percussion build towards a chopped and skewed finale, that has proved a ferocious piece of club artillery in Dusky's sets this summer.
Next up is 'Bloodsport', a dance floor primed roller that consists of dusty breaks, squealing atmospherics and a meandering baseline. 'I Hear Laurel' follows, a cosmic alliance of ghostly vocals and hard hitting distorted synths that feels like meditative ode to rave music of the past. Closing the EP is 'Ambiturner', stacked with syncopated drums and twisting synths that scatter across the stereo stacks.
We are delighted to present our second vinyl only series, Esuoh Limited, exclusively focused on offering you the latest trends in House music. Esuoh Limited 001 includes tracks by Juliche Hernández, Outstrip, Moises and Mac-Kee.

Originally released on Montreal's long defunct Intr_version label in 2001, Primordia was Scott Monteith's first foray into the album format, and some 13 years on serves as a remarkable document of the driving aesthetic touchstones which even at this early stage were bubbling to the surface and have gone on to define the sound of his Deadbeat project in the many years since. Over the course of 7 colossal slabs of crackling digital atmospheres and rumbling drone, a dirge of muted kick drums serve as the only steady anchor in a sea of wildly unhinged and naive sound experimentation, with the whole lovely mess plummeting into a endless cloud of decaying echos, granular processing, and cracked software reverb plugins. With it's production coinciding with the first years of his tenure at the Montreal based music software company Applied Acoustics systems, Primordia is the sound of the young dub Padawan reveling in the endless possibilities of modular software synthesis, and relishing each and every new discovery and mistake along the way.
Re-released on CD and for the first on lavish double vinyl with remastering by long time friend and cohort Stefan Betke aka Pole, Primordia is an essential cornerstone in Monteith's now vast catalog, and a must have addition to the collection of any serious dub techno historian.

Still pushing the boundaries, Sandwell District's David Sumner a.k.a Function announces his first 12'' on Ostgut Ton. A regular at Berghain and Panorama Bar, is was only a matter of time before the infectious, hypnotic and psychedelic work of Function would find its way into the Ostgut catalogue. Opening with the mood-setting 'Gradient (Intro)', with it's spacial ambience and Sci-Fi dramatics, we are launched into the earthy, modulating 'Gradent I'. Tripping 808 patterns revolve around a dense inner core, taking us far out into the ether. Fortified with tougher percussion, 'Gradient II' snakes it's way through a filtering sequence, building on strong foundations to take us further into the abstract, yet heavily addictive Function mindset.
'Incubation (Prologue)', brings this bold EP to a conclusion, its pulsing acid bass and foreboding strings offering a suggestion of what might lie ahead. A dramatic and exciting development in Function's dextrous sound.

Staring through the mirror. Transmitting the former self. Kurt Baggaley uncovered a theme. A theme of the ages. A theme with no clear beginning, nor end. The British producer has made a monumental effort of capturing, bending the sequence, making it's frequencies audible for everyone to hear, for the select few to understand. A 13 minute manifestation that seems to be able to go on forever. Drifting away, time seems detached, reality becomes palpable and minds become entranced. Esoteric, arcane, inscrutable. This is your former self.
Moving far between audible dimensions, Nuno dos Santos has made his next move, lifting the veil of the new release on his Something Happening Somewhere. Enlisting Kurt Baggaley for this EP, with Maeve's the Drifter delivering a staggering remix of the epic opening piece called 'Former Self'. Taking the original arrangement and making it club-ready, the Drifter does exactly what's needed, and more. Being able to keep the emotive payload intact while giving it the dancefloor treatment is more than impressive. It's a triumph.
Completing the circle on the flip side is Kurt Baggaley himself with 'Far Between'. A succumbed, deep jam, again taking it's time to unveil it's true payload: a hidden arpeggio that will only be appreciated by those who take time to listen.
It's time to forget time and drift off. To transmit. To receive. Open up, let the frequencies in.

in the past ten years lots of little and big stories happened in the music culture. house literally disappeared almost from the scene in order to come back as strong as never before.
minimal morphed back into techno while leaving the question mark why the term minimal ever got invented. some originators like frankie knuckles or romanthony passed away, while others like larry heard just stopped to perform.
in-between countless new artists appeared, twisted dance music with new perspectives on the old, and released their fresh ideas on even more countless labels out there in the void called music market.
one of the rare platforms that stayed solid as a rock in all these years is mule musiq, the tokyo based label that spreads miscellaneous sound vibes that long from jazz to disco, house, and unobtrusive ambient since 2004.
with a versatile artist roster consisting of producers such as henrik schwarz, lawrence, dj sprinkles, dj jus-ed, kuniyuki, eddie c, roedelius, or new kids on the blog like barnt or lord of the isles the japan based record company developed a status of her own for being one of the most free spirited organisations in contemporary music.
'if the music is good, any kind of music is welcome. i don't like labels which release one style music.'
mule musiq's mastermind toshiya kawasaki once said in a rare interview. now he celebrates a ten years of freedom jubilee with the sixth instalment of his famed 'i'm starting to feel ok' compilation serial. a real massive international anniversary celebration that is ventilating all what happened in the past ten years in order to form something that travels right into the future. and that is where mule musiq tries to be since a decade to tell some unheard musical stories that stay for good even when the future is long past.
Best known for his ambient excursions as Voices From The Lake alongside Donato Dozzy, Neel joins Token with the 4-track Calcata for Token 76. From his collaborations with Dozzy to his solo work for their joint-run label Spazio Disponibile, Neel's studio experience as a mastering engineer has gained him recognition as a producer who pays great attention the technical aspects of his sound. The title track falls within our expectations of exquisite ambience, with fluid, rhythmic mids and a delicate interplay of organic and unnatural noise in the high end. The opening shuffling hats in Re. Vox cement the release firmly in Token territory, while the staggered exaggeration of a synth line falters between beats and more crafted waves of noise increase the stress. Bassiani evokes its Georgian namesake in hypnotic bliss, while Treja's murky bass follows a dizzying theme overhead.

The Planetary Assault Systems project has been active for some 15 years now, channeling an exploratory theme into cutting edge, non-conformist techno for the clubs but also for listening at home. Limited to 200 copies, this release is the third of the 5 12" from the Thomas Brinkmann Retrospektiv 5xlp box set. The 5 individual 12" will be released through 2018/19. Thomas Brinkmann is one of the great producers of Techno music and modern dance music. He initially gained notoriety in the experimental electronic music and Techno community for his full-length 'variations' of material by Wolfgang Voigt under his Mike Ink moniker, and Richie Hawtin. The variations were made by playback of the original artist records on a turntable of Brinkmann's design, which has two tone arms with separate outputs for left and right channels. The turntables were then pitched down from 33rpm to 27rpm and the results recorded and mixed. Both Voigt and Hawtin were sufficiently impressed they released the results on their own labels. Since then Thomas Brinkmann has produced some all-time classic dance tracks, many of which are collected here in what is a personal selection by Thomas Brinkmann himself. There are unreleased tracks, different versions, and tracks that have never been released on vinyl.

DEMENT3D is proud to welcome Valentino Mora on board, and share with you a part of his spiritual journey. Slow Hyper-controlled Motion has been inspired by Butoh moves, but also is a homage to early New York spiritual house. In creating this record he also took field recordings in the forests of Japan. The concept of Slow Hyper-controlled Motion is to recreate this 90's spiritual house vibe, but in a more experimental way.

It was just a question of time to reach the point when Wayne considers himself to be the one to create a musical statement in order to show what he thinks about all the current status of some parts of the electronic dancemusic circus. He still suffers from too much so called 'minimal' in his eyes and he wants back the energy he is missing on many occasions... 'You know, techno without bass is like f...... without screwing him in...' Some might say he`s too late with this song, but that`s simply Wayne! In his universe the meaning of time is different to what we all would expect. Anyway, he finally checked out Garage Band on the Mac he recently "lended" from somebody he does not even know, and here we go with his first very own song. Lyrics in german only and heavily inspired by one of the biggest hits from the 80ies from the german cult-formation "Trio", but to make a long story short: it`s Wayne`s message that the so called "minimal" sound is definitely over now: "Always klick and always klack, I can not tell how much it sucks..."

Anthony Linell's latest suite of tracks cruise and drift with their head up. With a dizzy palette of terse and winding melodies, 'Sculpting Energy' feels like another new avenue for Linell on his unbreakable run of EPs. Drone surveillance-style patterns remain intact this time around, hinting at the unmistakable frozen planes of his previous works, yet with the opening track there's the smack of bustling heat, as its title 'Therme' alludes to. The EP's closing piece, 'Vision of the Imminence', presents a familiar sullen theme. Perhaps the measure of his latest work's difference is in the modulating barbed wire-percussion and birdsong- synths that wrap the track's cold core

The fifth and final record in the Kavalanic Languages series is a trip into the deepest styles of NY/NJ house courtesy of Dominique Duverger. "Dusk (Bayonne Riddim)" is a propulsive slice of tripping house while the "Barraderes Version" trims it back to ride a taut and reduced groove. The "Nassau Reduction" disintegrates the Kavalanic Languages project into a spectre of itself.
A third Foundation chapter has begun, lucky to have on board a special friend for his first ever appearance. Four cuts have been sequenced somewhere in France during the previous year, in transmission towards a placid-robotic horizon expressed through broken drums and non linear grooves. A dose of saturated arrangements will be clearly experienced in this piece of work.

SUPPORT: Ben UFO (Hessle), Oli_N (Phonica), Ander B (Robsoul), Eltron John (Uncanny Valley), Simon Caldwell (FBI radio), Herzel (Hivern Disc), Nori (Posivision), Sascha Funke, Nathan G, Dmitry (Neo Violence) Acid influenced many of us. In fact, for a huge proportion of us, acid kicked off this sweaty, painful, yet incredibly fulfilling journey. The 2 originals by Dircsen utilize the 303 in different ways - the opener 'Beyond Collapsing Silence' sounds like an instant acid house classic with its energetic drums & dreamy atmosphere, whilst 'Depth Scan' slows it down, focusing more on hypnosis. Rounding off the 3-track EP is an idiosyncratic remix of 'Depth Scan' by L.I.E.S. legend, Florian Kupfer. A dubbed out original gets well and truly saturated.

Spazio Disponibile welcomes Valentino Mora for a new EP featuring four tracks of rhythmic exploration. Boss of the IDO label and known for his atmospheric deep techno sets, he brings a richly infused palette to his music. The four tracks on 'Transmagnetic' are steep in moody atmospheres, with exquisite sound design colouring in the grooves which range from dark and eerie to more subtly uplifting and enlightened. Icy synths, abstract motifs and a sense of paranoia and tension characterise each one, with barely-there drums all working to sink you into a trance.

With a meeting point of Old school electro Acid sound this EP dig for the real underground side electro acid famillies and connections... Labels notes about this production is 'The circle is an ancient geometric figure, used since prehistoric times, representing endless cyclicity.
The circle is in fact a continuous line, which could be traced to infinity in a circular sense that represents energy and
spirituality,
the sense of belonging to something, to a group, to a thought.'
Kavalanic Languges number four comes from the discredited psychologist H. Russell-Ashe. A suite of hypnotic acid love songs, with the twisting 303 lines and hypnotic ~20 minute runtime of "Vanderbilt" causing serious dance floor psychosis, while the more even-keeled "Kivaaluun" coasts on a bubbling sea of snare drums and bass hits.

The perfect balance between spontaneous melodies and astonishing beats, the exact dose of freshness and the basic ingredients that you can only find in top classic techno and house tracks. This is what many producers look for when they get into the studio, but this vision isn't something you can force: you either have it or you don't, but you can't fake it.
Dj, producer and label owner, Joris Biesmans' new Rhythm Cult Records EP reflects this bright and pushing energy music only found in those who innovate without sounding pretentious. Based in Berlin, you will easily find Biesmans sets in city's main clubs, from Salon zur Wilde renate to Watergate or Chalet. You don't need to find his studio to discover what he's been recently on, just use your vinyl needle and enjoy Sunday Love, Step by Step and Steady Stabbin' without rushes. Be careful, no one will let you go home if you play one of Biesmans' tracks in a club.

Young Irish-producer Rebuke continues his rapid ascent to the top with two original productions on Hot Creations, primed and ready for the dancefloor.
Rebuke recalls being worried that Along Came Polly may have been perceived as being 'a bit too weird', but once it caught the attention of Jamie Jones, there was no stopping it. He says that the hype surrounding this EP 'is something I've never experienced before...and it always get a great reaction'.
On Along Came Polly, Rebuke showcases his innate ability to craft a weirdly, wonderful slice of techno. On the B-side, Rolo is a much housier affair, weaving together a bouncier bassline and sultry vocal stab.
The alias of Reuben Keeney, Rebuke, has only been in business for a short while, but his efforts have already proved to be fruitful. He has garnered support from the likes of Nic Fanciulli and released on labels including Saved and DFTD, as well as having a successful club night under his belt, where highly regarded names such as Camelphat, Darius Syrossian, Ejeca and Huxley have all played.

Cryovac Recordings is an independent label brought into existence by artists that believe in their craft. It is a platform to unite factions of the Detroit underground and display their sovereign sounds. Cryovac is a fresh view of the techno soundscape that is forever changing. Our aim is to translate this time into the grooves of vinyl.---a.garcia
Here we are with Cryovac's 21st offering: a thumping, machine funk EP that is sure to snap your set into overdrive. This four tracker throws back to the minimal feels, yet is still futuristic, mildly quirky (in the best ways) and slamming at the same time. The tracks all have that bounce, glitch and experimentation that you come to expect from label founder Andy Garcia and friends. This is also a very versatile record that won't leave your play crate too often. Pick one up at a quality record shop near you!!—Vince Patricola

Ellum Black, the new sub-label of Maceo Plex's notorious imprint, focuses on the dark and intellectual side of techno. This second record instalment features Spanish producer Architectural. Following an EP on the main branch of the label in 2017, Juan Rico aka Architectural delivers 3 forward thinking cuts for this record.
Architectural is known for his detailed and magnetic productions and on 'A Girl With No Friends EP' he goes deeper into the hypnotic edge of his soundscape. The first track we hear 'Romanticism Movement' creates a statement for the vocabulary of sounds Rico used for this record such as low frequencies and deep grooves. The title track follows on the B-side with develops on these textures. Closing the trio 'Never Yours, Boy' finishes the EP with another variation of Architectural's romantic techno repertoire.

Lost Futures is a new label that explores experimental and often radical approaches to dance music from the past. In a musical landscape that increasingly claims to seek and reward new forms and ideas, Lost Futures delves into the recent past to revisit forward-thinking, optimistic projects that, owing to the social, musical or outright political climate, perhaps struggled to find an audience. Allowing only time to re-contextualise these leftfield, sometimes misunderstood and ultimately human bodies of work, Lost Futures taps into the inherent idealism of rave.
LF001 trips back until the early nineties to revisit the alternative scene emerging from the Dutch city of Utrecht. Here, three young men - DJ Zero One (Sander Friedeman), TJ Tape TV (Arno Peeters) and DJ White Delight (Richard van der Giessen) - joined forces to form 'The Awax Foundation'. Inspired by the transcendent and revolutionary electronic music arriving on their shores imported from Chicago and Detroit, combining their knowledge, gear and ever-expanding vinyl collection allowed additional freedom in paying sincere tribute to these intoxicating sounds, while also developing their tastes in a more personal, eclectic direction.
The musical flavours of Awax initially leaned toward acid house and the roots of techno. However, with three different mindsets in the mix, their tastes were rarely fixed. One thing each shared in common was a devotion to collecting rare sounds, specifically more adventurous and international samples than those emanating from the increasingly-hard, masculine dance music emerging from the Netherlands during the period. Inspired by the cross-over global sound of bands like Suns of Arqa, or 'World Music', as it was perhaps patronisingly termed at the time, the trio became interested in the idea of making techno with 'ethnic instruments'.
Of course, this being 1992, none of The Awax Foundation had access to such instruments, instead, they had a vast, collective library of samples from all over the world. There were no collaborations and no clear plan. Instead, they set to work using a Yamaha TX16W sampler, the legendary Atari 1040ST computer, a cheap mixing desk and a couple of low-end synths and FX machines. When Richard mentioned the project to his friend, Akin Fernandez, the London DJ and owner of cult label Irdial Discs, Fernandez was intrigued enough to invite the trio to record a one-hour show for his 'Monster Music Radio' series on London's then-burgeoning Kiss FM.
Forced to come up with a name, 'CultureClash' seemed like the obvious choice, even if the members of Awax were only creatively sparring among themselves. Along with the term 'ethno-techno', slightly dubious to a hopefully more conscious Western audience in 2017, these were the only guiding principles to the quietly ambitious project that soon combined cutting-edge machine rhythms with samples sourced from everywhere from Bolivia to Togo, and inspired by everything from Ravi Shankar's epic soundtrack to the Oscar-winning movie Ghandi, to the technical limits of their own setup requiring a dazzling degree of cut-and-paste work. Some tracks even emerged out of academic studies within the ethnomusicology department at The University of Amsterdam.
The show aired on October 2nd, 1992, recorded in one blistering take and without any rehearsals, traversing a huge variety of tempos and styles. If the performance wasn't seamless, it was undeniably thrilling, fresh and ambitious. As such, several labels, including Fernandez's aforementioned Irdial Discs expressed an interesting in commercially releasing CultureClash, while another imprint proposed a series of twelve-inches and an album. But the sheer complexity of the project meant that it never saw the light of day, while the trio embarked on different journeys ahead, both creative and personal.
Twenty five years later, and the original CultureClash lineup and founding members of The Awax Foundation provide the sound of the first release from Lost Futures. An otherworldly, ambitious and optimistic compilation, accompanied by extensive sleeve notes from the trio, CultureClash is a timeless ode to experimentation in dance music's ever-overlapping culture.
Returning for his second full-length LP of 2018, DJ Bone steps up once more to his own Subject Detroit imprint to present 'Beyond', a full-length and physical rumination on his own emotive and psychedelic contribution to contemporary techno. Loaded with the dynamics, charisma and widescreen appeal of his finest work, 'Beyond' sees Bone enter a musical state that reflects it's ambitious title, celebrating underground ideals in a style that could only be his own.
The second in a trilogy of albums to be completed in early 2019, 'Beyond' is culled from a sequence of no less than fifty tracks completed by the esteemed Detroit DJ and producer upon returning to his home city in 2017. With it being "unfathomable" to release an LP of that length, Bone has nonetheless captured this wave of creativity and a reconnection with his home city, along with the cathartic sense of soul and energy at the heart of his attitude to dance music.
Across 'Beyond' listeners can sink into an unrelenting sequence of tracks that speak from his experimental, musical and always unexpected mind. LP opener 'Dreamers 7' reaffirms his taste for offbeat electronics shot through with rigid dance floor dynamism; a theme reaffirmed quite literally on the forceful centrepiece, 'With A Vengeance'. Elsewhere, Bone delights in blurring the lines between exotic, futurist ambience on tracks such as 'Techno Aint Techno' and 'Ahhh Life', while further cementing his reputation as master of sheer, unrelenting rhythm on 'True Definition' and 'Rosedale Park'.
Our First Lp Is Presented By Our Deeply Appreciated Resident Hector Oaks. Taking Inspiration From His Marathon Sets In Bassiani's Second Floor, Horoom, And The 11th Of May In Tbilisi, The Techno Staple Crafted His Own Take On Contemporary Dance Music.
"as We Were Saying" Is An Unapologetic Collection Of Heartfelt, Powerful Techno. Crafted By A Vinyl Lover For Dancing Purposes, Its Arrangement And Composition Fits Both, Club Or As An Energizing Home Listening. This Is The Soundtrack For Our Revolution.

'String Figures Remixes' is a series of remixes released on December 14th 2018 following the previous-ly highly acclaimed LP String Figures by Zoe Mc Pherson. (Watch her Boiler Room live show)
Remixers for this EP include Ben Vince (Hessle Audio co release w/ Joy Orbison & Where To Now solo album where collaborators include Mica Levi & Rupert Clervaux), N1L (Opal Tapes & UIQ), Hester-1, Bartellow (ESP Institute, Public Possession) & Sukitoa o Namau (First Terrace Recordings).
The EP is pressed on transparent vinyl & comes along with transparent sleeve.
When asked why Zoe chose each artist for her remix album she writes:
Ben Vince is my mate since he opened for my release in London last April and he was really excited about making a remix. Which I think is even nicer is that he only remixed and did not play saxophone. He actually properly very much remixed all the elements, all recognisable, which is a delight to listen to when you know all the parts seperately. The only thing he did is making it a UK club banger track !!!! :)
N1L is a friend whom I admire totally for his capacities of producing incredibly wicked tracks in no time. He's got 10 000 collabs going on ( abit like Ben). I don't know how he does it, but damn his remix is also one of these that are a delight to listen to when the samples are re organised in a very cool way which is his own.
Hester -1 is also a friend, violinist and producer from Antwerp. She is a nerd, her style and projects are developing, we jammed together, and I wanted her to be on the original album, so now she is in the remixes and made a very dark piece and now I'm thinking she should meet N1L :)
Bartellow is also a friend, behind SVS, and he was the first one to make a remix in 1 hour on a flight I think actually even before the album came out!!!! He had already made a proper groovy banger, as he always does, with his style.
Sukitoa O Namau I've been chatting with since a while, she's an incredibly inspiring artist, releasing on First Terrace records, she used to be a dancer and is an explorer of sound and of many things. She basically fucked up my track, by changing the rythms into no rythms and purifying it very much which reveals other things. Only keeping rough elements of it and I think it's absolutely brilliant.

The debut EP from Dj Force & The Evolution is a classic. Not only was this EP the starting point to a run of huge releases by the group, including Perfect Dreams and High On Life, it was also the beginning for Darren Styles as part of The Evolution, and Dj Force, both of whom teamed up to bring the rave world numerous classics as years went by. But this EP was the beginning, and has long deserved a repress. The original pressing is changing hands for ridiculous amounts second hand, and this is the same three tracks, lovingly remastered and presented in their original format!

A slow burning anthem: the holy grail of all producers. A tune that keeps building and building momentum gradually and naturally To the point crowds singing the bassline back when you drop it. This is the case with Gregor Treshers Goliath. Released February 2015 on Bedrock, its been smouldering ever since. The Frankfurt DJ considers it up there with A Thousand Nights and About A Good Place as one of his most successful tunes in his career so far, its distinctive hooky bass riff capturing moments and imaginations as more and more DJs exploited its unifying charm. Over two years later, Gregor and Bedrock present two precision-tailored remixes that add to the Goliath story. French techno OG Emmanuel Top, a man whose records inspired Gregor to produce in the first place, takes the lead with a 10 minute monolith that doesnt even hint at the riff for the first four minutes. Focusing on the machine funk rhythm of the original and turning it inside out, Top lets it sizzle for as long as possible before suddenly dropping the full musical scope of Goliath on us mid way. Alan Fitzpatrick, a man who doesnt need much of an introduction to fans of mordern Techno, also subverts the original in an equally remarkable way. Allowing himself to be taken in a whole new direction by the pads, a new topline and is added to create an entirely new experience that still instantly brings home the original tones and feels of Goliath. Remixes that build on the original and take it to entirely new pastures: The momentum continues.

Originally released in 2014, Luciano's 'The Great Amael' is an enchanting and endearing trip; a lo-fi bubbling groove and dusted Hammond organs that hustle along whilst live percussion cuts through the oceanic atmospherics. Two years on, and Cadenza Music call upon a brace of remixers to provide fresh and unique interpretations of this hidden gem in Luciano's catalogue. Having recently released his first album in over 10 years, Matthew Dear AKA Audion boldly steps up to the mantle and stamps his intelligent techno sound all over 'Amael' in the first of our remixes. Cutting a sprightly pace from the off, Audion melts stuttering sine waves and bulging tones over concrete beats, tweaking in the original organ riff and fathoms deep pads whilst adding additional vocal refrains as he playfully teases the arrangement before dropping a superb riff in his 'Backward Melody' Remix, which takes a most psychedelic and unexpected twist! Two other musical heavyweights collaborate on the second of the remixes; Phil Moffa and Seth Troxler are no studio strangers, having released a joint project on the British Hypercolour label last year, and remixed for Tiga a few months back. Their LSOS LOVE/GOD Remix builds from ambient beginnings, save for a rhythm carved out of spongy electronics, a sturdy beat kicking in and setting the controls destination unknown, as the duo steer through breathy vocal cuts and propelling bass, stripping the remix back before leaping back into hyperspace with some adventurous and dubbed out vibes, before coming back down for landing with those unmistakable pads from Luciano's original.

Picking up where they left off three years ago, Modern Heads, the much-respected collaboration between Gianluca Meloni and Dino Sabatini, are back with a dynamic and intriguing four track EP. The duo go straight in here with the club-ready Athena. Throughout this track, tight percussive elements wind in and around one another, creating an ever-changing rhythm that you can only just hold onto. Under this, tense synths pulse away, producing an opaque and insular atmosphere. Next up, Eumaeus lightens the mood somewhat, providing clarity with a distinct opening drum pattern. This mood doesn't last long though, as indiscernible, haunting vocals begin to echo in the distance, gradually moving closer and further in the mix as sharp pads swoosh either side. Side B of the record opens with the deepest and longest track of the EP, Eurycleia. Simple yet unrelenting drums frame this hypnotic sci-fi episode, through which otherworldly screeches and rumbles reverberate over the twinkling sounds of machines. Eurycleia's atmosphere continues straight into the final track, Laertes Theme. This beatless piece takes Eurycleia's exploratory mood and extrapolates it over five and a half minutes, resulting in what feels like the perfect soundtrack to a glacial expedition in alien territory. As an EP this is a complete and coherent package; a perfect extension to Modern Heads previous work. The sound palette is familiar, yet refined, developed upon and taken further. The Old Beggar is undeniably worth the wait for anyone with a taste for the extraterrestrial.

Future child of Paula Temple's Noise Manifesto, Decon/Recon puts strength and artivism into a new idea of scene. The first Decon/Recon release is planned on 20 April 2015, both vinyl in limited edition and digital. The brand new project is based on a new series of electronic dance music releases presenting a unique and libertarian approach to collaboration, production and dance floor action. It converges artists' samples in an open archive which is reassembled in four different tracks by the artists themselves. This project wants to put identity into a crisis by giving a collective authoriality and by letting all hierarchies collapse into a collective resonance who dares to become.
Decon/Recon is not just about new forms of self representation, the deconstructive process of the "artist" status in terms of superiority or the elaboration of new politically active business models but about composition as a scene and quality dance music at its best. The release will de/compose four future pioneers who responds to the names of Aquarian Jugsa new alias from Jam Rostron aka Planningtorock, rRoxymore, Oni Ayhun and Paula Temple herself as Jaguar Woman. The Releases' paratextual structure will play the same game. All artists shall be credited on the cover without authorial connections with the title of their own tracks exposing the listener, reader, dancer in to taking active part in the whole process.
Where Deconstructing is Reconstructing, dancing is enacting future live models into present floors.

In keeping with the eagerly awaited start of their Odyssey event series at Fabric London, the two Mallorcans Pig&Dan return to their roots, namely Cocoon Recordings, where their 2005 debut 'Oh Yeah' signalled the start of their success story. Nine years on from their last album release for the label ("Terminate", 2009), Dan Duncan and Igor Tchkotoua have lost none of their sixth sense for moving the crowd as this uncluttered yet devilishly effective dancefloor double header proves. 'Reset Your Bassline' couldn't be more appropriately named, revealling itself over seven and a half adrenalin soaked minutes complete with a powerful, pumping bass and tightly programmed vocal samples (exclusively available on the digital release) alongside an instrumental dub. Already an indispensable addition to this autumn's set list, the flip side 'Lost Another Angel' also delivers with a pure dose of afterhour bliss in both vocal and dub versions. It's a playful Balearic technodub with a canny sense for an unforgettable melody at sunrise, conjuring up broad smiles on glowing faces. Welcome back!

Rico Puestel is in charge for our Cocoon Recordings 144th release. Rico is an 'producer animal' who released more than 100 tracks & remixes since 2005 under various project names such as Dinamoe, Central Scrutinizer and of course under his main moniker Rico Puestel. The enormous amount of productions shaped Rico's knowledge and taste and his new cocoon release 'Neyst' and 'Enokid' seems to be the logical result of his long journey through the techno-universe. Puestels style is very unique and merges elements of dark and hypnotic mainfloor techno as well as orchestral sounds and even industrial elements. 'Neyst' is the perfect hypnotic and dark techno circle that keeps on progressing and building up into sheer madness. No fast food, no leightweight, this is heavy techno business! 'Enokid' comes with a little more of a Chicago house vibe however it is again still deep in Puestels very own style. We especially fancy the crazy break in the middle with the spaced out room effect part and the melody coming in after the break. As stompy and musclepacked this track is, it still seems to be very musical and deep at the same time - what a trip! This one demands a good and proper sound system, well what other Cocoon Release doesn't

With this new project, Madben & Yann Lean get back to the essence of techno with a raw sound based on groove, textures and Catchy hooks. Influenced by 90's rave sound et artists like Jeff Mills, Surgeon, DJ Pierre, Dave Clarke or DJ Funk the French

Trunkline's vinyl label will release the duos ep's. They plan to release one maxi per trimester. The project will also take to the stage as a four deck DJ set and then a "100% machine" live performance in the summer of 2016

Seven years into its celebrated journey, Life and Death assembles its third and most adventurous compilation to date - Displaced Soundtracks. For the first instalment in a new series, DJ Tennis has given free rein to some of his most trusted contemporaries, enabling many of today's most respected dance music producers to display their hidden talents as composers. Gathering music from a long-aborted film, the collection stands as another bastion of Life and Death's perpetual evolution. Duncan Gray embraces dissonance, Black Merlin, Appleblim and Artefakt go interstellar and Fango channels post-punk squat music. Hades Rocket showcases the expertly-sequenced synth work that has graced Simian Mobile Disco's illustrious career, while Redshape revisits all the right sides of 80's Wave and Library music. Danny Daze and synth-savant KINK embrace non-standard tempi with great success, while Axel Boman delivers sitar-laced gospelhouse without a bass drum. Elsewhere, your favourite producer's favourite producer, Stimming, team's up with pianist Lambert and the pair learn to fly. Inspired and challenging, Life and Death ventures into their eighth year confidently, constantly evolving without compromise.

Rotating Frames is the new EP for Pole Group by our very own duo Exium. Four tracks of modern and obscure techno, fuelled by heavy sub-bass action.
'Monopoles' opens fire with massive bass frequencies and continuous hat lines, joined by an obsessive sequence that mutates while it moves around the arrangement.
The approach of 'Magnetic Flux' is deeper than the previous track, starting with flanged sequences and a subtle bass drum. Bell-like sounds grow from zero until drones and atmospheres appear from the slight breakdown.
'Rotating Frames' goes straight to the point and rises the tempos a bit, continues with the flanged and phased sequences and relies on a more percussive vibe.
'Early life' is the last number here: robotic FM sounds, effected noise hits, continuous synth lines and a constantly growing structure.

A partnership of epic proportions is about to go down. Josh Wink, an artist known for crafting some of the finest house and techno tracks of all time is joining forces with Boysnoize Records, leader on the global scene for over a decade. Tying your techno in knots, Josh Wink's 'Shoelaces EP' is set for release.
Josh Wink is a master at Acid Techno (Just listen to classics like 'Don't Laugh' and 'Lumpy Oatmeal') so he's right in his wheelhouse on the Acid Mix of 'Shoelaces.' Throbbing electro rhythms and those signature acid squelches define this mix, with the notch turned up another degree on the circuit board for the Dub Mix.The package follows with a cut from Finnish producer Mono Junk, who offers a more stripped down take on 'Shoelaces.' Mono Junk's remix is raw yet no less in tense, providing the EP with its dark corner. Out of the cultural hive of Los Angeles follows Truncate. For the all out banging, hammering techno fans, Truncate's mix is a winning bet. Peak time, over the edge and bathed in acid.
'I'm happy with 'Shoelaces' being released on Boysnoize Records as it's a rarity that I release on other labels outside of my own label Ovum Recordings. I'm a fan of both the label and Alex Boys Noize, so I am excited to be a part of the greatly diverse and talented BNR family'. -Josh Wink
"It's a big honor to release Josh Wink's new record on BNR. Needles to say there are so many club bombs he's made and he's been a big influence for me as a DJ & Producer. With 'Shoelaces' Josh is showing us his love for 303 acid & breaks, it's a raw fun and very effective record, the perfect fit for BNR'. -Boys Noize

Maceo Plex inaugurates his MPLX label with a two-tracker of his own material; as Mutant Romance solidifies the ethos of the imprint - a platform for future releases, solely from the man himself. Ever since his landmark debut album Life Index on Crosstown Rebels, the Barcelona-via-Miami artist has never wavered from the constant momentum - establishing his Ellum Audio imprint in 2011 as well as his Ellum Black imprint earlier this year, the artist already explored different avenues of techno, electro and whatever lied in the crevices in-between. However, with this first release on MPLX - Maceo Plex stretches his sonic identity even further with a double-dose of warm, wistful dancefloor bumpers that will last long after its first hearing.
'Mutant Romance' starts things off with a groovy rhythm, pacing itself justly between a deluge of affable chord progressions, rightly leading to a breakdown that's just as vibrant and virtuous as you'd expect from a peak-time surprise from the man himself. The B-side, 'Mutant Quazars' - entrenches itself with an energetic build-up; gearing towards an apex that is surprising in its reveal - with lush pads, enigmatic melodies and a beat that won't give up on whoever's caught onto it. MPLX is a vehicle for experimentation for an established voice in the electronic community - one that's constantly looking at new ways to express the medium of dance music to its wider and more powerful potential.

UK techno heavyweights Karl O'Connor & James Ruskin whip out a deadly new OVR session on Downwards
Arriving 2 years since their 'Easy Prey' 12', OVR's 3rd studio release is defined by its spacious mixing and layered detail in three powerful dancers plus two handy locked grooves.
'The World Remade' is a proper juggernaut, rolling thru pelting percussion on 18 wheeler bassline with a pile of jazz mags on the passenger seat. It could easily go on twice as long, but there's two locked grooves isolating the crunchy bass and gritted drums for DJs who want to properly roll out.
The B-side's 'Reversing Into Tomorrow' tucks into more aerodynamic, stripped down formation, before they cut loose with foul waves of tarry synth and noise scree in the grim roil of 'New Departures' - more of this, please!

One Year later the italian duo Toms Due come back to Etruria , this time with Magma' , groovy techno Ep composed by two banging original tracks and Mr. Ambivalent and Mr Cosmin trg remixes. The first is the original Magma' a powerful track with a big room kick and a old school melody that grows together with a simple one-note chord to create a destroying tool. The second original is Stratum characterized by a power melodic chord and an energetic groove. Then comes Ambivalent remix, a name who doesn't need presentations, dark synth in his full style, raw drum with sharp / pungent 909 rhythms. Last but not the least Cosmin trg remix is a powerful techno tool, composed by a hypnotic chord wrapped by powerful techno drum groove.and space.
The mysterious Troy returns on DR with his second EP ever released. It seems like the perfect time for Troy's Northbound EP; 4 very distinctive, cold, yet beautifully designed pieces, which perfectly underline the atmosphere this time of year. On the A side, detail and evolution are the foundation of the lengthy 'BH3', which also futures a hard hitting remix by Takaaki Itoh from Japan.
The B side features two more melodic cuts. 'Archer' stresses the journey into the cold, with it's synth work nearing dissonance, while remaining in complex and admirable harmony. The title track 'Northbound' is a more straight forward loop, which builds up to something rather chilly and unheard before.

New York native Caiazzo releases 'The Devotion' on his and P.Leone's E-Missions imprint featuring three dusky techno tracks and a remix from White Material co-founder Young Male.
Much like P.Leone, Caiazzo's debut release (entitled 'The Dredge') landed on Work Them Records; Spencer Parker's label that's featured names such as Radio Slave, Rodhad, DJ Richard and Ryan Elliot. Launching E-Missions earlier this year, the pair continue their high quality output by following up two releases from P.Leone with three uncompromising original cuts from Caiazzo himself.
Rolling percussion drives '917 (Sportmixxx)' whilst intoxicating drones operate throughout, making way for 'Lifeform' with its layers of thick synthesised sounds that build on top of a relentless drum composition with subtle but effective transitions. 'Godbody' offers a stripped back approach to techno with an intricate percussive composition that allows a deep low-end and a hypnotic perc to take control.
Finally, White Material label boss Young Male provides his take on 'Godbody' where bass hits combine with haunting atmospheres and warped rhythms, closing the release with style.

"La Tène is back with a double invitation to its third full length LP.
The hurdy-gurdy/harmonium/percussions trio welcomes two bagpipes (cabrettes and 23' to be exact), and a combo of string instruments (12-string guitar and electric bass).
Beyond the instrumentation, we're looking at a gang of high esteemed guests: Jacques Puech, Louis Jacques, Guilhem Lacroux and Jérémie Sauvage, whom works are given their due credit (with the La Novià collective and its multiple variations, the France group, Super Parquet, the Standard-In-Fi label, etc.), are at ease with fuelling the traditional ball dance floor (literally in its wooden meaning) as well as questioning it, confortable with sparking dance moves as well as pushing instruments and their sound to their ultimate limits.
La Tène's music doesn't alter itself, it is always at the conjuncture between obsessive repetition and fragmented traditional music, hence developing a mineral depth on an obstinate pulse. Where one hears an instrument, its mirror unburdens until the confusion. One lies breathless, only whishing the end becomes an eternal resumption."

New York's P. Leone is back with the second release on his newly launched E-MISSIONS imprint featuring Work Them Records founder Spencer Parker on remix duties.Born and raised in Brooklyn, where he discovered the legendary Storm Rave parties run by Frankie Bones and Adam X, P. Leone cut his teeth DJing in the Lower East side of Manhattan before making techno himself. Before long the producer dropped his first two releases on Work Them Records, joining a roster spanning Radio Slave, Spencer Parker, Young Male, Anetha and Physical Therapy. E-MISSIONS was then launched in early 2017, acting as a platform for co-founders P. Leone and CAIAZZO with more exciting artists soon to be announced.'Discipline Signals' is dark and robust from start to finish, with 'Functions of Discipline 1' inaugurating the package with resonating kicks, trippy elements and industrial synths. 'Functions of Discipline 2' follows a similar aesthetic but heads into a deeper direction with its cavernous atmospherics and glitch inspired effects, making way for 'Laced' with its sinister drones and tantalising melodies. Spencer Parker then remixes 'Laced', concluding matters with rugged drums, energetic hi-hats and a rumbling low-end.

The California-born, London-based producer Rrose is well known for taking dancefloor techno into the uncharted depths of experimentalism and psychedelia while also paying homage to artists of the 20th century avant-garde such as Marcel Duchamp, James Tenney, and Eliane Radigue.
"Beware of Shells" (the first solo Rrose release of 2018) is a diverse five track EP that goes to extremes of both aggression and tranquility while remaining strangely cohesive. The EP opens with machine gun bass drums that slowly disintegrate into a swirl of undulating tones and ghostly resonances. Next comes "Incisors" - the most solidly dancefloor track of the EP - which establishes a primal, skeletal rhythmic base upon which snake-like analog synth lines interweave in unpredictable ways. "The Swelling" follows with a short, sparse study in feedback, bent into uneasy melodic patterns. Side B opens with a previously unreleased 2013 remix of the Los Angeles band Deathday, and is perhaps Rrose's most overtly "industrial" track to date, with buzzing, dissonant synth tones that sound somewhere between a foghorn and a distorted guitar. The EP finishes on a contemplative note with "Pecking Order," a microtonal, ritualistic affair conjuring the spirit of Wendy Carlos's little-known masterpiece "Beauty in the Beast."

Repress of their first 12'' single "The Stains". This extended edition includes a bonus track - 'Phantasmagoria'- and a friendly dancefloor cut of the title-track by Alessandro Adriani.
Conceived by vocalist Gerrie Brand, the band was starting out as performance art, and quickly became more as Gerrie surrounded himself with some of the best musicians from the club and art scene in South Florida, including our dear Mystic Bill, who was playing the guitar with the band in the early stages.
Originally self-released in 1991, the single "The Stains" became an underground club hit and charted on many college radio stations, in both the extended and the original version. The single was distributed as a hard to get promo only release. The repress contains also the title-track of the single 'Phantasmagoria" - another cult tune for early 90's goth djs - originally released in 1992. Mega tip!
International Deejay Gigolo proudly present the homecoming of the South-American Gigolo Queen Romina Cohn. After her 'I Want U' remix production from label boss Dj Hell last year, she presents now her 3 own 3 track EP called 'Let It Go". All three tracks combine an eclectic and powerful vibe with playful attitude and a homage to classic techno & rave sounds.
Inspired soulfull tracks and locked grooves by 3 Artists from Brussels. Analog machines talks to each other in these tracks that could be played from another galaxy. Liquid feelings and hypnotic beats, bloops and synthetic hallucinations. Precious moment of techno-pop ideology ! 300 copies on vinyl with an original silkscreened cover by E.M.I.

From Bremen, northern Germany, Massud Matin is coming up on Tupiar Records Limited with a great vinyl EP named LIKE YOU, featuring 2 of his own original tracks and 2 remixes from his analog addicts: Modebaku and Kaitaro.
Massud has a deep history going back to his days in the electronic community since 2007, as part of I.C.Records , respectively. even so,he pushes beyond his combined discographies to date, exing impossibilities, building rhythms from arrhythmia, teasing veiled textures from bold iterations of Synth Patterns. his distinctive fusion of sculpturing through shapeshifting software, programming subtractive and matrix modular synthesis to create playful shivering digital textures which oscillate with and against algorithmically mapped percussion samples, smeared synthetic chords levitate in the distance, stabs of digital noise punctuate the mix in twitchy, time-distorting patterns, the deliberation and control over distinctive textures and particles is obsessive, the end results of each individual track unfold with an organic temperament.
The cover art is painted with acrylic on canvas by romanian artist Elly S Oproiu, founder of Soul Drops and music enthusiast brought on board by the overall designer Mihai Dafinoiu, together making this exquisite release.
Without further introduction we'll let the music speak for itself, thus hoping you enjoy and dance to every second of it ...

Art-aud is thrilled to present you a big thing. Its been in the work for a while, a project collaboration with the historical Italian label, Interactive Test. Founded in '91 from the crazy minds of the two brothers Franco and Riccardo Falsini, it was one of the first real underground imprints to born in Italy and to propose an innovative sound at the time, that soon after exploded all over the world more and more. With almost 40 releases done in a few years, the two brothers have really created an empire, a stronghold in the hills of the belle Florence. Now, after more than 25 years, we have decided to bring back the light to what for us are the most significant tracks and visions from their world, sign of a past but still very current present and future, in a sort of "greatest hits" vinyl compilation. Six tunes of six different names, and different vibes, taken from different eps (all rare to find now), nicely remastered from the source files by Alden Tyrell.

The debut album "Computerlove" from Belgian/Russian artist Veronica Maximova, sets the scene for a broader vision for the label, while also establishing Veronica as a fresh and important artistic voice on the VOITAX roster. The title of the album describes a generation that is connected more than ever, and yet still alone in a society where happiness is mandatory. The attachment to a screen is instilled in almost every waking activity of a generation that knows how good it feels to share their life with somebody, but also knows how vulnerable and insecure one can become by sharing.

Three years incubation; Visionquest compadre Antonio Thagma returns to follow up his evergreen 'Leather Soul' EP. Taking off where his molten constructions left us in 2015, it's another kinetic experience where the groove is full, and only, focus... And the one and only Ricardo Villalobos is on hand for a genuinely beautiful remix.
'Sferikum' instantly locks you in: Upbeat with a subtle strut and a maze of psychedelic textures, this one is all about the rolling subs that underpin every element, bringing everything together with fluid motion. It's backed by the broken electroid charm of 'Everything I Wanted'. Spacious, pensive and laced with an array of dizzying details from sly acid sinews to crafty drum variations by way of a sudden heart-stopping breakdown. Truly, this lives up to its name.
Complementing these two exceptional originals, and celebrating Antonio's return to Visionquest at the highest level possible, Villalobos has been recruited for remix duties. A key staple of his sets this summer, it's a singular 13 minute trip rich in subversion, twists, glitches and surprises. But, as always, the groove is the full, and only, focus. Welcome back Antonio...

Unnatural, uneasy, unexpected. 'The Great Filter' keeps you on your toes constantly, it makes your fingers tingle with anticipation and the hairs on your arms stand up from the tension. It is eerily calm and controlled, while it takes you to faraway places in the twilight, that don't actually exist. Subdued, bright yellow light with no sun in sight. Wide plains with an inherent structure that can only be illogical. Unorganic sounds, alien voices, excited synths and sobering organs. Reality is so mundane. The way we are now expecting it from Krink, he does what is unexpected and stretches conventions somewhere around techno and deep house. The music is driven by imagery rather than song structure. The EP puts cutting rhythms over comfort and sound over beauty. Like a focused dream, it is concrete and abstract. Let's get found in the universe. Vital Sales Points: DJ promo, German print & online, UK/international online
