The debut EP of new-born Junction Records begins with thorough exploration of driving and percussive techno sounds in the form of label head Cool Tiger's Warehouse for All'. From atmospheric, suspensive build-ups to warped vocals and glitchy fills, this intelligent production from Paris based producer is a sweet taster of things to come and stands proud and deserving as A1 on this release. Next up on this release we move to groovier territory with French duo M&C's Droofin'. Swinging percussion and warm, soft synths are undoubtedly the driving force behind this track. Old School grooves contrasted with luscious, slow-moving pads in the breakdowns combine to create an infectious and familiar house sound. In coherence with Junction's pattern, the final track on this release from German duo Dominik Fry and Skipio is as warm as you would expect. Hypnotising vocals, hovering subby pads and gentle arpeggiators characterise this melodic easy-listener.

This mind-bending 'Question and Answer EP', his second release on The Bunker New York. Igarashi is a lifelong musician and a professional sound designer by trade. Through decades of experience composing music he has developed a sophisticated and nuanced approach to production that allows him to evoke powerful moods and emotions. In recent years he has been applying his production skills to great effect, developing a distinctive brand of psychedelic techno that has been released on labels including Midgar, Semantica and Time to Express. Describing his creative development, Igarashi tells us: 'the more I produce and play, the more I discover. I keep finding different aspects or nuances of making and performing techno music. This process of learning and constantly going deeper is very exciting for me, it is unlike anything else I have experienced before. I am appreciative of the opportunities I have been getting and I just want to pursue them as far as I can, it is deeply motivating doing something I love with people I respect.'

A chance encounter at Berghain in February of 2015 connected Wata with Bryan Kasenic, founder of The Bunker New York, who already knew and loved his music. As a result of this meeting, The Bunker released a very well received podcast from Wata later that year, which was followed by Igarashi's 'Mood of the Machines EP' in 2016. The relationship has further deepened through working together on this follow up record and Wata making his North American debut as a DJ at The Bunker in September of 2017. According to Igarashi, the 'Question and Answer EP' is 'about communication and connections, so it makes sense for it to be on The Bunker NY, a label that features so many friends and artists that inspire me. My relationship with Bryan has been an important and rewarding one for me, and I am really happy to be working with him again on this record.' These rewards quickly become obvious on a dance floor with unfurling infinite arpeggiations working themselves out with the inexorable driving force that can be found in truly great techno. The EP opens with tense and driving 'Outburst', which is complemented by the slow-burning 'Train of Thought'. The B side features the title track, a beautifully unfolding number geared for generating powerful moments of release on the dancefloor. The EP finishes in style with the downtempo vibes of 'Broken Telephone'. Versatile enough to be dropped during peaks or at other times, this new EP from Igarashi boasts 4 equally kaleidoscopic cuts that will surely stand out in a set.

Arctor has a way of making music for moments where the crowd has just melted in the palm of the dancefloor. His latest EP bursts with kaleidoscopic melodies and streamlined percussion, continuing his run of sophisticated electro euphoria.

‘Escape’ opens with a chilled groove, locking down a vocal hook with grounded kicks while cosmic synth arps peel away into space. And for anyone who loves a good stepper, they’ll find a load of synth-infused chugging acid keeping its cool on ‘Bad Blood.’

Exploding Head Syndrome drips a wistful synthline over lush pads, invoking 80s glitz and sunset drives before it plummets into a fierce, sleek drum pattern. Gritty vocals skitter over stabs and traces of acid: an adrenaline shot to the ears, but also full of soulful feeling.

Second on the B-side, ‘Heartless World’ serves up cross-beat chords and skipping snares at 152 bpm, resulting in a swift and suave electro number. Lastly, ‘United’ rekindles the carefree sweetness we heard back on Arctor’s Memory Gene EP, backed by a relaxed electro beat made for after-hours and morning sets.

Berlin/Barcelona based OFF Recordings is run by Andre Crom, focusing its sound to different shades of techno.

In the past 2 years, the label has featured the likes of Charlotte de Witte, Cari Lekebusch, Luca Agnelli, TWR72 and a selection of other well-known and emerging artists. The previous OFF Recordings release from DEAS picked up feedback and support from the likes of Slam, Pan-Pot, Adam Beyer, Cristian Varela and Amelie Lens.

This new release is from German born Arnd Reichow aka Drumcomplex, who recently contributed a remix to Man With No Shadow's EP for OFF Recordings.

Drumcomplex makes a welcome return with his debut solo release of original music, where his back catalogue also includes contributions to Carl Cox's Intec, Traum, Bush, and his own Complexed Records.

Track one Eyesight' has a rolling groove with a mechanical percussion sequence made with military precision. Dark and pounding, vocal stabs washed in delay bounce round the mix creating an impression of vast open space, whilst the lead synths adds a tense sense of urgency to this techno stomper.

The second track Definition' opens with fast flowing hi-hats and the thud of the kick drum before introducing the menacing tones of the arpeggiated lead synth, which alongside the sinister vocals, gives the track a fearsome atmosphere. Not for the faint-hearted, this brutal cut of techno is a certified dancefloor smasher made for peak time club sets.

Finishing the release is Complex' which has epic synths that full of texture, paint pictures of dystopian landscapes. Understated and intelligent this is the deepest track on the EP, but anything it lacks in ferocity is compensated by its mysterious atmosphere and intricate production, which at times is almost cinematic.

Mannequin's 100th - a comp looking forward featuring an international and serious cast... BIG TIP!
The modern synthwave scene would be significantly poorer without the keen ear and tireless efforts of the Mannequin label run by Alessandro Adriani. Geographically situated within the nerve centers of Rome and Berlin, yet with a musical spirit that easily transcends these boundary lines, Mannequin's back catalog has been an important component in the modular assemblage that makes up electronics-based independent music in the 21st century, and an important reference point for those who need to defend against the lazy accusations that this such is purely 'retro' in its form and content. Recent accolades and accomplishments - being named Resident Advisor's 'label of the month' for May of this year, starting the 'Death of the Machines' 12' series, and being given the 'green light' for bi-monthly parties at the Säule room in Berghain - have been earned through Mannequin's unflagging commitment to sonic diversity and Adriani's own realization that the anxious and sharp-edged sounds associated with, say, the Cold War of the 1980s can convey a completely different message today. Adriani says it best when claiming that 'there is no such thing as 'old' or 'new' music...only the music of now'. With this cogent statement of intent, Mannequin continues to go on exploratory missions to find the best and most relevant aspects of genres like acid, industrial, EBM, post-punk, coldwave and still more.

Which brings us to Mannequin's newest project and 100th release overall: the Waves of the Future double LP compilation, which itself is not a conventional retrospective collection. Case in point - none of the artists appearing on this collection have put out their own releases on Mannequin yet, despite acting as Mannequin's unofficial ambassadors (via DJ sets and other means). This makes the set even more compelling rather than less so, since it shows how Mannequin fits into a larger picture that includes other scene leaders and label owners including Beau Wanzer, Willie Burns (WT Records), Silent Servant (Jealous God) and Ron Morelli (L.I.E.S.). Of equal importance is how Waves of the Future projects a sense of aesthetic resilience and continuity; showcasing just how well the current artists allied with Mannequin employ and re-interpret the sonic lexicon that appears on that label's reissues of 'classic' acts such as Nocturnal Emissions, Bourbonese Qualk, Din A Testbild and Doris Norton.

However, none of this would matter as much if the music itself didn't have strong potential for lighting a blaze in the dark corners of the human imagination, and of course for forcing bodies into motion. Each track here pivots around a couple of key sound elements that seem to set the stage for the next track to come: see the sputtering / chopped ghost voices on Morelli's 'Charges Won't Stick,' which easily informs the slicing drone and authoritarian beat of Shawn O' Sullivan's 'Ill Fit,' which then lays down the emotional foundation for the sequencer-powered 'With You' from An-I & Adriani or the glassy landscape of Illum Sphere's 'Exhaustion'. Elsewhere, the wired mischief of Not Waving intersects easily with the spherical electro-funk and coded commands of Beau Wanzer. When all the disparate parts of Waves of the Future are soldered together, it perfectly illustrates Mannequin's non-linear philosophy and Adriani's suggestion that Mannequin listeners directly engage with the music rather than trying too hard to analyze or dissect it.

Verdant Recordings 3rd EP is a collaboration between the rising talent Aos and Sonitus Eco. A debut release on vinyl for Aos who has previously released digitally on Blankstairs with the enchanting 90 East minialbum. Sonitus Eco should be well know for his own Harr label and for his majestic ambient and dub techno projects with Silent Season. On this release both bring their love of deep atmospheric and melodic techno for two original works which are then reconstructed by each other. Its fascinating to hear how these tracks reshape the original signatures. Chevel gives the prism-pushers at Mumdance & Logos' Different Circles their first album release with Always Yours, a slanted new take on the 'weightless' paradigm, floating somewhere between headspaces associated with the styles of Lee Gamble, Actress and Logos.
Paradoxically the longest and yet most minimalistic release on Different Circles to date, Always Yours says its piece in succinct yet expansive terms, rendering precisely tooled rhythms and technoid motifs in acres of suspenseful emulated space in a way that connects the brutally efficient dynamic of late '90s tech-step with a Raster Noton-like appreciation of pointillist reduction.
In that imagined space Chevel moves like a Soviet gymnast or Prototype robot fluidly executing a demanding routine full of intricate, rigid steps. From the ambient airlock of One Evening In July he pulls off the aerobic mid-air rolige of The Call, which comes off like a syncopated Sleeparchive workout, before twysting into the knotted quasi-step of Bullet and stepping into hyperspace on Arp 2600.
Another ambient interlude Warming Bath returns the LP to balmier states, before the jagged pulse of Data Recovery pulls back into the dance like a virulent Alva Noto piece, and Dem Drums pitch to the rave's darker side, but ultimately the lushly self-explanatory
Underwater and Always Yours keep the LP hovering around the edge of ecstasy and the abyss with a grasp of heady, day-after feelings known to ravers the world over

In light of his hugely acclaimed and recently reissued classic 'If You're Into It, I'm Out Of It', CDB's monstrous 'Scylla & Charybdis' [2008] plate creeps back out of whatever hole it slid down for a 10 year anniversary reissue on his Hamburg-based CFET label.
Scylla & Charybdis is a first rate example of breakcore at its mutant and gothic best, executed by one of the sound's definitive operators. In two 12 minute parts - De Babalon unfurls scenarios
traversing from darkly cinematic, atonal strings and looming bass to lurching hybrids of Alexandra von Bolz'n's doom metal vocals with distended speedcore rhythms and harpy chorales in Scylla,
while the B-side's Charybdis tests out a more mercurial, fluid blend of rolling 180bpm jungle breaks and uncannily naif vocal from Panacea-collaborator, Hanayo.

Techno mutant Gábor Lázár morphs 2-step and warped electropes with futuristic tension and torsion on Unfold - the Hungarian artist's first solo 2LP for The Death of Rave. The 8-track album follows a busy 2017 for Gábor in which he released Crisis of Representation with Shelter Press, heard his music played in numerous Aphex Twin live/DJ shows, and also toured the EU with
Josh Eustis & Turk Dietrich's Second Woman - an experience which fed directly into the sharper defined rhythms and plasmic mentasms of this album, arguably Gábor's definitive solo release.
Kerning classic styles with devious ballistics according to a mutant syntax reflected in the LP's bespoke sleeve art, Gábor galvanises his signature flux of zinging mentasms and hyper rhythms with a cyber-mongrel gnash in Unfold. Drawing from the deeply affective and rude ends of South Yorkshire, Detroit and South London technous for inspiration, Gábor consolidates their mutual aspects by trimming the excess and stressing the funkiest points of syncopation with razor sharp, inventive edits. Whilst instantly recognisable as Gábor's work, his grooves are more pronounced, and this time unusually riddled with melodic gestures that lead to moments of unexpected emotive relief.
In the contemporary field, Unfold firmly lives up to comparison with the retro-futurism of Mark Fell's Sensate Focus, the advanced playfulness of Errorsmith's Superlative Fatigue, or the fluidly knotted syncopation of Jlin, but with a singular mesh of style and pattern that Gábor can patently declare his own.
Gábor Lázár lives and works in Budapest. He self-released a split tape with Russell Haswell in 2013, then 'I.L.S.' (Presto!, 2013) and Crisis of Representation (Shelter Press, 2017), beside his EP16 (2014) and a collaboration with Mark Fell 'Neurobiology of Moral Decision Making' (2015) for The Death of Rave and remixes of Second Woman and Jesse Osborne Lintier & Grischa Lichtenberger. Gábor has toured his live show extensively in Europe, held artist residencies at HeK, Basel, EMS, Stockholm, and 4DSound Amsterdam, and was a SHAPE Platform Artist of 2017.

Initial Programs is a new project by respected ambient producer Mick Chillage. It is also Mick's first ever vinyl release and sees the Irish artist focus on deep, acid-tinged techno and melodic electro. The background to the release is a simple one; First Cut boss Richard Be was a long admirer of Mick's music and discovered an electro project he did as The Shape. Over the course of emails, pints and coffees, the music for Initial Programs' first record came together. The resulting three tracks are melancholic, late night jams, the soundtrack to high speed cruises on the streets of south Dublin.

Super Rhythm Trax boss Jerome Hill is back on the label with 3 otherworldly tracks cut loud for maximum dancefloor devastation. Beginning with the wistful acid pump of 'Back & Forth' moving through to the alien jacking of 'Weird Language' and leaving you wide eyed in the grip of 'Close Encounters'.

Matt Flanagan has been making music as DeFeKT, ESS and Tinfoil for the past few years, so who better to put out the debut release on First Cut We decided early on that there was no point in repeating his admittedly fine back catalogue, so Matt went off one evening and did a 30-minute live jam on his machines. There was no real plan, but between us, we picked the three best bits, which you now own. Then we had to come up with a name. Initially, we toyed with the idea of calling it 'FeKT' but then decided that only a local audience would appreciate the joke and that it wouldn't travel well. Octal Step then emerged as the clear favourite. We sealed the deal to release 'Toner Head' over a cup of takeaway coffee on a bench in the Stephen's Green Cente in Dublin. And why is Gunter Walraff on the other side of this sheet Well, he seems like a cool guy. Plus he's German and has a moustache - what's there not to like about that

The fourth release from Gardens of God's imprint Sodai is the Barcelona based, Egyptian DJ and producer Raxon with his Detla EP. A trend-setter, the former-architect exhibits a cogent production style making him an fitting addition to the label.

A special track for Raxon, 'Detla was created en route to Cape Town for a big festival. I thought I would need to make some changes after the show, as is often the case, but the track worked, so I left it exactly as it is in its first original arrangement. Which any producer will know is rare'.

The EP kicks off with an enticing intro, growing layer by layer with a detailed arrangement of ethereal synths and minimalistic percussion. A full breakdown mid-track leaves you craving more, before the final drop in all it's stomping glory. On the flipside, Jungle Express features a hastier intro and a balearic-inspired drum pattern. A siren hooks you in as it drops into a bass-ridden techno roller.

Raxon has received critical acclaim east of the Mediterranean, boasting Best Dubai DJ in 2013/14 by Time Out Dubai. Developing and collaborating, Raxon has continued to develop his career working with imprints and artists including Ellum and Diynamic. Catching the eye of tastemaker John Digweed, Raxon has featured as a special guest on his Transitions radio show twice cementing his place in the Techno scene.

A massive personal favourite of Demdike Stare's, Shinichi Atobe's 'Ship Scope' was Chain Reaction's penultimate release in 2001 and, with the benefit of hindsight, also one of the legendary label's most sublime offerings. Phase fwd to 2015 and DDS rightly put it back into circulation with this necessary reissue arriving in the wake of Atobe's much loved archival salvage, 'Butterfly Effect', which caused quite a ripple in late 2014.
Notable not only for its unusually sweeter, dreamier ambient tone - especially when compared with the rest of the CR#'s - but also for its happily lost-at-sea feel, connoting a deeply romantic and almost shoegazy late '90s / into-the-'00s deep techno aesthetic that would essentially become washed away with the advent and
normalisation of mnml techno's pristine production values.
Quite simply, it's a must-have for followers of the romantic streak in Ross 154, Convextion and classic Chain Reaction - do not miss!

On April 27th Steve Bicknell presents 'Mind Patterns' - a 3 track EP of brand new music on his own 6dimensions imprint.

This is frenetic high-octane techno of the highest pedigree, with added conceptual ideas based around Steve's thoughts on human mind patterns, and how these patterns can be hard to change.

Bouncy bass, repetitive funk, hiss and acid squelch drive 'Patterns Of Suppression', which in Steve's words is 'based on a human cycle of suppression, how things can rarely change when in this repetitive cycle, and how difficult it can be to abruptly awaken from this mindset. The cycle can usually be broken by subtly shifting patterns over time.'

'Preset Minds' has an engine-like, propulsive and cyclic quality akin to a motor or a speedboat bouncing fast over waves. Steve comments enigmatically that it was 'produced with a view of recognisability, something familiar from past teachings, which is then perceived to be known.'

'Vein Injection' was 'recorded around my thoughts on producing an unfamiliar sound and frequency that has an immediate impact, driving one towards an awakened state.' A hard, fast electric shock, it's essentially the audio equivalent of being trepanned into a higher state - by a power drill to the cranium.

Fontan's music has fascinated and captured a choosy audience for over a decade now, and many are those who have, or have wanted to remix their material. This time, in the shape of an ambitious 12inch EP, various artists' love for the band's music shines brightly: The Covenanza Remixes is released on Hoga Nord Rekords and is strictly limited to 300 physical copies. The record comes out by reason of Fontan's gig on Andrew Weatherall's prestigious festival 'Covenanza' in September this year (2017).

Fontan have had the honour to be remixed by some of the most interesting names in electronic music: Red Axes, Timothy J. Fairplay, Khidja, Mythologen and Pardon Moi give their take on tracks from the duo's latest release Fontan (Hoga Nord Rekords, 2017). The music moves in the landscapes of Leftfield, Techno, House and New Wave.

The evolution of Fontan continues from the cold and barren landscapes of the Swedish west coast, through some of the deepest cave like studios in Europe, out on to the continental club scene.

Danny McLewin (Psychemagik) and Jamie Cruisey have a new label of original signed artists called SPIRITS. The first release is from Mexican hotness 'Lokier' of She Made Monster and 'Jason Greer' aka 'The Machine', one of the Californian undergrounds best kept secrets. They met in 2015 at a festival in London and after spending a few days together, became musically obsessed with each other. That summer, as Jason bounced around Europe, he stayed with Lokier in Barcelona for some weeks and after long night walks, some tapas and absinthe bars they came up with their first EP together.

A1 "White Room's" slo-mo headnod film score, kick starts the EP, brooding synths buzzing with electric cocaine gloss, their oscillators fluttering like cyborg butterflies around the pulsating strobelight beat. Creepy.
A2 "Stained Glass" hits tough straight out the gate with subterranean bubbling acid bass and charges headlong into deep psychedelic territory with a goth-inspired guitar, reverb on 11, turning the track into a next-level robo-Giallo monster!

B1 "Pearly Hate" begins as if a menacing swarm of bionic rave bees is slowly surrounding you, the tension of their impending drone amping up steadily as your brain thinks: Do I run This midtempo Carpenter-esque jam is atmospheric putty in the hands of sleazoned DJ's and sounds like the beginning of a long, strange trip.
B2 "Red Floor" is a chugging, barely restrained dark disco beast, flagrantly wearing its Weatherall and Neu Beat-ing heart on its tattered sleeve, elliptical melodies keeping you from your sanity with a solid drop for the dancefloor - another one for DJ's who ride it rough.

Lithuanian based label Sodai started its journey in 2016, making it a label still in it's infancy but making a big impression. Owned by artist Gardens Of God, who started the label to create his own 'no limits' platform for his experimental sounds and projects. While at the same time a platform to give other artists the chance to also have freedom with art and music.

With releases from Raxon, Few Nolder and Alex Krell under their belt, they can announce the exciting debut from UK producer Third Son this April. 'I've been an admirer of Gardens Of Gods' music for a long time, when he asked me if I could do something for his imprint, I was more than thrilled!' adds Joseph.

'Syncope's' synths spread far and wide, making this a journey of a track, modulating and panning in and out, pushing and pulling along a percussive drive. His broad musical range can be felt in this mix, with its slightly hypnotic tones.

'Irony' has a punctuated low end, which creates a deep and dark groove. The synthetic elements in this track gain in attitude, on top of ambient pads, leading nicely into 'Bach' to close out the release. It's driving and determined bass makes the backbone of the track, with a modulating hook line, along building and expanding frequency ranges.

The whole package makes for a very strong first release from Third Son, and Sodai are excited to be welcoming him to the family.

Toms Due is talented duo from Etruria Beat crew , they re now back once again on their home label with two bangers ' Urania ' and ' Caliope ' and two remixes . One from Nina Kraviz´s Trip label young protégé Nikita Zabelin , the second from Micol Danieli , italian newcomer artist and owner of 030´s vinyl record label. On the A side sit the two original tracks . Urania is composed of a powerful techno groove on a simple but strong chord fitting perfectly on the climax of the middle of the track . Second comes ' Calliope ' , a Toms Due signature heavy rhythm with a happy techno synth melody , a must try for all dancefloors . On B side , Nikita Zabellin shows once again his minimal approach , pure analogue sounds with a bit of darkness. Mico Danieli´s chose to use a never ending rhythm that won´t ever leave you alone , a very elaborate arrangement . Keep an eye on this Italian lady producer !

Andre Crom teams up with mysterious vocalist Ségou to present an EP connecting Electronica and Tech House.

The pack starts with Andre's club mix, an intense arp-driven dancefloor burner, using heavily effected parts of the vocal to create a tripped out frenzy on the dancefloor.

Johannes Brecht, one of 2015's breakthrough artists thanks to his releases on labels like Poker Flat or Diynamic, delivers a pristine remix in his very own jazz-house-electronica sound.

The pack is completed by Andre's "Acoustronic" version, a melodic and melancholic song, fusing electronic and live instrumentation with Ségou's haunting vocals.

Präsens Editionen is very excited to present the new LP of Berlin based musician Brendan Dougherty. Economy and Failureis a work stemming from two tumultuous years for the artist: births, deaths and other big changes. The music was made in hotel rooms, airports, cafes and various studios using a basic setup of laptop and headphones.
In contrast to Dougherty's 2016 LP Sensate (Entr'acte), which used heavy synth patterns to create jittering rhythmic pulses without drum sounds, Economy and Failure sees the drums return on longer arrangements that bear some resemblance to techno. These tracks are interspersed with shorter études in texture and pulse. The resulting pattern heightens the tension between minimalism and emotional depth, making Economy and Failure a peculiar and poetic piece that the artist himself counts as his most direct and emotionally connected yet.

Silencio, a new label out of Chicago, will debut its first release from new young talent Cirq'on titled the Other Side EP. On the A-Side, 'Screaming Around', makes its presence felt with a beefy bass line that periodically stacks and stutters throughout its progression. This track is impossible to resist. Even the most hardened scenester, the type of person who never dances in an effort to look cool, will be forced to cut a rug as they acquiesce to the bombardment of this pleasing beat. Peppered throughout with spooky vocals, tempestuous tones and mysterious snippets, it leads you down a path of rhythms that pushes past the point of no return. Similar to the first transmissions intentionally broadcast out into our universe for the purpose of contacting intelligent life, 'The Messenger' delivers on the B-side with layers of haunting harmonies that unfold over simple, satisfying drums. It's steadily driven by scintillating sounds in the form earthbased radio signals that rise and fall, as if bouncing off of orbiting space debris on their journey to the great unknown. This track is best described as a mind-exp.

Don't be fooled by the name, Clouds are about as rough and spiky as it gets. Words like rowdy', boisterous' and ragged' have been used to describe Calum Macleod and Liam Robertson's voluminous output together on the likes of Soma and Fifth Wall, with the unlikely Turbo shouldering most of the brunt. And since the release of their album, Ghost Systems Rave, Clouds have only gotten more gnarled and savage, as their Tannhauser Acid Works series and latest cassette release for Opal Tapes will attest. From a clean slate Clouds present four scuzzy techno cuts full of rattling irreverence that settle in nicely between AnD's gun-slinging and Sawlin & Subjected's heady, virulent soundscapes. Consistency and a diverse but functional aesthetic have kept Berlin based record label Vakant ahead of most imprints operating in the same space. Having released records since 2004 they have focused on working with only a select number of artists as they believe this is the only way to endure in a scene which is susceptible to trends, with Premiesku being part of the family as well as the likes of DeWalta and Avatism. Having already released a highly successful EP on the label in 2014, and more recently being a part of the labels latest anniversary compilation, 10 Years Vakant, the Romanian trio return with a driving four track EP. This EP features catchy melodies, vivid emotion and driving, floor-focussed percussion, which consists of three original tracks as well as the ever-dependable Varhat stepping up on remix duties. The founders of Future Nuggets are delivering their debut full LP as Delusion Men, marking the peak of almost a decade long conspiracy. Work Them Records producer P. Leone kick-starts his new Brooklyn-based imprint E-MISSIONS with three animated techno tracks featuring a twisted remix from label co-founder Caiazzo.

Beginning his journey through electronic music upon coming into contact with Sonic Groove record store in New York, P. Leone subsequently discovered the legendary Storm Rave parties run by Frankie Bones and Adam X before quickly immersing himself in underground rave culture. DJing house and experimental music in the Lower East Side of Manhattan before producing his own techno, it wasn't long until Spencer Parker signed two of his releases to Work Them Records label which garnered support from the likes of Slam, Roman Fluegel, The Black Madonna, Rolando, Midland and Axel Boman.

Crunchy kicks and ethereal atmospherics set the mood in 'Coast Atlantic' as echoing stabs heighten in intensity. 'Boil Until Pure' is more of a rolling percussive affair containing a medley of metallic nuances whilst 'Tears' demonstrates infectious chords, claps and vocal coos whilst ghostly pads add to an air of melancholy. Fellow Work Them Records artist Caiazzo then steps up to remix 'Tears' - completely reimagining it into a trippy shadowy cut.

"After almost 20 years of making tracks with blaringly loud kicks, you tend to start producing with the other elements first to give yourself a break from the constant pounding of monitors at point blank range. Following an analog filter shopping spree, I began working on a group of tracks where the low end was satisfied by the filtering, and realized these songs worked just fine without a bass drum. Therefore this record is called "Rareforms" since most of my other work consists of a kick drum and lots of loud effects. This record is dedicated to the brilliant synthesist and interpreter Isao Tomita, whose records always provide inspiration in the lab. After the sublime triple 12' re-issue of the 'Sonar Bases 4-10' album on Deeptrax Records, it's now time for the second installment in the Sonar Base Transmissions Series: the album 'Dark Matter'. All 6 tracks were produced by Frank De Groodt around 2004/2005 and were only released in the inner circle, never released on vinyl. This mini LP still sounds as fresh as it was produced 13 years ago, experimental on the drums and synths.

When listening to 'Sonic Discharge' and 'Velvet Sky of Sonar 6', the link with Drexciya is easily made. Sonar Base takes you further into outer space territory with the dark sounds of 'Polygone Suffering' and the title track 'Dark Matter', there is the clear IDM feel of tracks like 'Meet You at Tower 3 on Sonar 7'.

Dark matter is a hypothetical type of matter distinct from baryonic matter (ordinary matter such as protons and neutrons), neutrinos and dark energy. Dark matter has never been directly observed, however, its existence would explain a number of otherwise puzzling astronomical observations'

Token mainstay Inigo Kennedy had no fewer than three collaborative tracks on Momentum, the 3LP release put together to celebrate 10 years of the label's output. As Token's first ever releasing artist and now long recognised as an integral contributor to its distinctive sound, Kennedy continues to offer his part in shaping the label's identity. TOKEN79 feels conceptually complete as a record: The similarities between the tracks are almost as striking as their individual qualities. Each piece is titled in reference to planetary layers, each presenting another piece of the same world.On the A-side is Magma, with a lead that's refreshingly candid in its tenderness, soaked in reverb and sprawling with variations that gradually increase in complexity, carried by subharmonic pads it diffuses into the mix. Mantle is more percussion focused. Much of its movement is dictated by a pitch-bent woodiness that meanders in stereo while the composition rumbles on and opens up to a crescendo that's powerful, yet measured in a way that's characteristic of Kennedy's control.

The 12th chapter on Eerie Records is a 2 tracker by label owner Marco Shuttle himself. With the return to a more groovy and floor-friendly take than the abstract sound of his recently released LP the release maintains nonetheless the classic signiture deep landscapy approach the artist has made us used to with his production. Tribal rhythmics, 808 grooves, underlayed pads and some slightly middle eastern reminiscent sonic elements make it for a record that although still on the leffield side, is 100% techno. Anyone who loved Sing Like a bird will probably find this one very appealing. A very classic Marco Shuttle one indeed!

LumièresLaNuit (LLN) is glad to introduce to you to Samochai (LLNOFF004), 4th release of its OFF series by Bremen-based music composers and DJs Massud Matin & Smisou.

Samochai EP presents two different atmospheres that LumièresLaNuit and its OFF Series are particularly fond of: deep- and dub-techno. Indeed, whereas Massud Matin take us out of ourselves with the deep, atmospheric and mind-blowing beats of Zal, Smisou imm­­erses us in his musical world with the dubby, cadenced and aquatic beats of Chanj.

Massud Matin & Smisou celebrate the same music since 2012. The beginning of their collaboration was marked by a couple of digital releases like Smisou's remix of Massud Matin's Come On (2015) and his Keemun EP (2016) — in collaboration with Miynn — on Samani that also includes a remix by Massud Matin. More recently, Massud Matin & Smisou released Parand de Muth on Brosh records.

Finally, in December 2017, Massud Matin brought out his first vinyl EP Like You (TPRL03) on Romanian label Tupiar Records.

The new shtum comes from Planet Underground, a veteran Dresden resident who already contributed to the fact that the city was called "Little Detroit from the East" back then in the middle of the nineties. Since then, he has constantly been producing stripped to the bones tracks mainly for his own Elektrokuehlung label in his legendary place of retreat in Dresden-Striesen. Recorded between 1996 and 2010, the four tracks oscillate between raw Acid, classic Basement House and artful distortion. Bouncing and scrappy stuff at the same time. BXL003 is the third release of the artist-run Brussels based label BXL.This third release by Simon Halsberghe features a collaboration with Sagat (real name Wiet Lengeler), who previously released on the Brussels' label VLEK and had his music included in the Fabric mixes of both Ben Klock and Joris Voorn. The track is called THE SET-UP and is a relentless sawtooth rave tune that finds it's balance between the heydays of Belgian Techno and more contemporary 'Hi-Fi' attitudes towards functional yet idiosyncratic dance tracks.On the b-side SPACE TOM sounds is a deeper and more hypnotic trip with lush broad pads that provide a space for the mind as well as sonic pressure on the body. The last track, SNARED, takes things into breakbeat territory. With razor sharp snares and a pulsating baseline this track lives somewhere in the Venn diagram overlap between Rave, Front 242 and an air raid siren going off.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Simon Halsberghe lives and works in Brussels, the capital of Belgium as well as the centre of Europe. Living in such a culturally diverse place has its distinct influence on Simon Halsberghe. He has won an award for best Original Soundtrack with the music for the animated short 'Kitten Instinct' by Liesbet Eeckman at the film festival of Angers, France. Simon Halsberghe also works as a music consultant for fashion brands, his clients include Gianni Versace and Christopher Kane. Next to the more traditional of 'DJ' gig he sometimes makes bespoke music for the collections.With BXL he wanted to create a platform for the wide range of music he creates. And because his previous work for theatre and film, as well as his more ambient compositions have found their respective homes, he chose to release some of his Techno tracks first on BXL.Previously Simon Halsberghe has released music as Pitch & Hold (on Love Triangle Music), Simon Hold (on VLEK) and HABERGEON (on Gentle Tapes). Now he has opted to use his proper name instead of a pseudonym.

Made during his travels in Paris, London and Antwerp, the 20 year old Siwei presents the first outing on his own namesake imprint in the form of a three-part series. "Aicee" gets the whole B-side to trance out on a submerged, throbbing 303 burner and subtle drum jack that harks right back to the early days of Phuture.

The next release on moreaboutmusic comes from one of Chicago house's best kept secrets, often name checked by legends such as Mike Dunn, Marshall Jefferson, Glenn Underground and Tyree Cooper to name a few.A DJ and Producer, Hugo grew up during Chicago's heyday, at one point living with Mike Dunn and Tyree Cooper, where they would spend their days producing and recording tracks on the 808, 303 and 909, along with any other equipment they could get their hands on.

Our series Love Songs for Dragons welcomes a debut from the romanian artist Dragos Ungureanu, signing PFR003 with his Opus EP.

Pulse Drift's third installment brings you the vinyl debut of a very talented young artist from Canada. And he delivers something quite special on this 4-Track EP. Deeply rooted in Detroit Electro, his musical sprouts gravitate towards a more experimental, forward-thinking sound universe. Build on a solid stem of rhythmic structures and covered with a cortex of melody and atmosphere, Funk grows and Groove emerges.

This new vinyl from Gynoid's sub-label Translucent is a strong dub techno EP from Kristian Heikkila featuring the lovely Petra Valej on moody vocals. Added are remixes from legendary Samuel L Session with a techy uplifting version, Advanced Human with a sharp, dubby techno version and to round off the release we also get a tooled up, instrumental dj edit. All sure ingredients that make this wax complete, dark and beautiful.

Lee Burton is the next artist on Raum Musik and this is his first single for our label. Lee is hailing from Greece and we were quite happy to receive some demo tracks of him, as he caught our attention already a while ago. His productions are more house related, but always with a nice, modern twist. His powerful sound and also his very well structured sound design could easily be described as his signature and it's definitely worth keeping an eye on him.

Fresh from his 'Let's Roll EP' on Radio Slave's Rekids, Hopeworks curator Lo Shea further cements his status as a true innovator of the UK underground with the 'Iterations EP' on Dusky's 17 Steps.

Leading the charge, 'Iterations' is 8 dark twisted minutes of tripped-out melodic techno that will sweat the walls of warehouses from London to Tokyo - drawing a lineage from The Omen, Atomic Jam and The Orbit through to Berghain, De School and - indeed - Hopeworks itself.

On the remix, Stockholm's Peder Mannerfelt takes it down an industrial rabbit hole of terror-core synths, rave sirens and sonic paranoia.

It seemed like Neo Ouija, a Norfolk based IDM imprint, had closed up shop. Four years of silence suggested that founder Lee Norris, aka Metamatics, had decided to call it a day. But looks can be deceiving. 2016 saw the boss release a CD album of fluid acid, squelching electro and heartfelt electronics. Shipwrec are now bringing four choice cuts from Bodypop to the vinyl faithful. Proudly sitting on the "difficult to define" shelf, Norris seamlessly shifts from frigid winter moods to warming autumnal sunshine. Old-school sounds are rewired, softened by delicate keys and steady beats. Machine music morphs into organic matter. Acid coils, echoed bleeps and clicks grow and blossom into vivid audio vistas with Metamatics, once again, proving his musical mastery.

Arising from the outskirts of Brussel is Noord Halle, a young and promising source of hard to beat fast paced electro tracks. Jefre EP might be his debut, but the support is steady already with the B side delivering two truly unique remixes by BAKK regulars Antenna and Haron. The new shtum comes from Planet Underground, a veteran Dresden resident who already contributed to the fact that the city was called "Little Detroit from the East" back then in the middle of the nineties. Since then, he has constantly been producing stripped to the bones tracks mainly for his own Elektrokuehlung label in his legendary place of retreat in Dresden-Striesen. Recorded between 1996 and 2010, the four tracks oscillate between raw Acid, classic Basement House and artful distortion. Bouncing and scrappy stuff at the same time. "Elektromat" was previously released on an obscure Dresden techno compilation and it took a while to find the master tape in the dust of the past.
