The historical Power Electronic founders duo remixed by two of the infamous artists of this new industrial/noise scene. Parrish Smith, also know as Sige Bythos and Volition Immanent, already appeared on labels as Nation, Contort Yourself and Knekelhuis, made a smashing track, slow and heavy, distorted and electrically powered.Black Seed, already appeared on DTLS SND and Sign Bit Zero signed a syncopated track, with tribal influences and bouncing sounds that will turn your brain into a whirpool.

Ursa's Reef is a late 80's traveller and surfer wandering endlessly in the secluded raves of Goa, searching for his own soul while dancing in abandon to the proto-Trance journeys of Goa Gil. Brought up in Sintra, Portugal, by a family of uptight catholic hypocrites, UR goes rogue in his early 20's, seduced by the esoteric teachings of Levi, Pessoa, Crowley and Israel Regardie while keeping an unhealthy obsession with Roxy Music. He is also a fictional, made up persona - a musical heteronym - of Lisbon-based DJ and producer Marco Rodrigues, mostly known for his work under the name Photonz. Together with his friend Jose Acid - a musical heteronym of Joao Ervedosa AKA Shcuro - he makes one last trip to Goa that could prove fatal.

Finally the long-awaited second series of 'Invisible Family' outings has arrived. Label boss and compiler GK Machine has this to say: 'Beyond ecstatic to get these tracks out. The Gazeebo track I've been playing in my sets for years. Digital only but SO great it definitely needed to get pressed onto wax!! I would DJ with it using Ableton and speed it up a lot so for the vinyl I asked Jon (Nedza) who I've been a huge fan of since his Community Recordings releases on Grayhound and Imperial Dub, whether he could speed it up a little bit before we pressed it up. Now it's 100% perfect: a Moroder-esque cosmic stomper that's sure to set any dancefloor alight. The Apiento track is another one that's been gestating for a long time...first appearing around the time the original "E.S.P." 12' appeared on the wonderful Golf Channel Recordings in 2014. Secret Circuit gave it a complete overhaul, in fact several complete overhauls, plus some of his signature guitar and has turned the already blissful track into an afro-esque, trippy, beautiful, beautiful piece of music that (IMO) is one of his best yet. Utterly gorgeous!!
Then there's the boy-girl retro-future duo Der Kundalini coming from the wonderful Lectric Sands stable in NY who gave us Zoovox. This one's also been hiding on my hard drive way too long! Finally relative newcomers Konzel (of Junto Club/Optimo Music fame) & Natural Sugars (Pardon My French) round off the package just perfectly. The former so distinct that I felt it was a perfect opener for the A side. So, I hope you dig it...and keep an eye out for the super limited 12-track cassette too!!!'

Príncipe kick off 2018 in a big way with the remarkable début by P. (as in 'Producer') Adrix, a 22 year old artist originally from Lisbon, now based in Manchester, who is equally adept at crafting full tilt, teched-out bangers as effervescent electronic soul music. His first release, Album Desconhecido is a supreme example of the innovative scenius in Angolan-Portuguese music, ratcheting the thrilling dynamics of Lisbon's ghetto bass sound with deadly edits and pressure highly compatible with the UK's jump-up jungle, drill or soca grime vibes.
Building on ground-breaking work forwarded by producer/DJs Marfox, Nervoso, Nídia and Lycox in recent years, Album Desconhecido is jaw-droppingly fresh, even by Príncipe's up-to-the-second standards. And like Lycox, who hails from Angola and Lisbon via France, it's fair to say that P. Adrix's relative detachment from Lisbon has also led him to break the kuduro mould in scintillating new ways, effectively mapping out and recombining a glowing flux of ideas circulating the Black Atlantic diaspora.
Delivered in 9 short sharp stings between the seasick drill of Zelda Shyt and the laser-guided trance lixx of Viva La Raça, Adrix trades in a mix of virulent, adrenalised energy and soulful rollige that sets fire to any 'floor across the breadth of Album Desconhecido. It's clear and present in the turbulent, rug-pulling subs and febrile polyrhythms of Bola De Cristal, and to blinding degrees in the high-wire tension and bone-freezing edits of 6.6.6, whereas the zipping flutes of Ovni bind roots and future with breathtaking, needlepoint incision, leaving Sonhos to provide a dead sweet, even romantic contrast with the melancholic meditation of Tejo for fine measure.
After encountering Album Desconhecido, there can be little doubt that Adrix is making some of the most exciting dance music in the world right now - a boldly expressive and immediately effective sound that drives listeners to a rare but timeless sort of rave ecstasy - thrillingly synthetic and infused with an unmistakeable lust for the dance.In the right hands, it's dangerous stuff. This is the second release on Russ Gabriel's live and improvised label - Rivers Of Groove. This 180g vinyl only release features two studio improvisations from Russ.

Vidab X returns with a new artist, Faltin, who chooses to remain anonymous, plus a stepping rework by Gowentgone aka label owners Oliver Deutschmann and Stephan Hill.
Faltin's 'Phobos' is a stripped down analogue masterclass. Rolling and snaking, its arpeggiated lead growls with a hot headed tension, climbing while never losing balance and poise.
The 'Gowentgone Stepper' translates the original into a heavyweight, early-morning trip - a certain hybrid of broken beats and techno attitude that melts between genres. Waves of euphoria are carried by rumbling drums in this essential version.

In their fifth release, DC label Partial Magic welcomes four friends and producers from the Knoxville, Tennessee based collective TEKNOX. Alex Falk opens the record with an upbeat slammer, looping cocky vocal samples over brash, noisy textures sure to please those familiar with his sound. Second on the A side, Saint Thomas LeDoux follows with an introspective track perfect for building or releasing dancefloor tension. On the B side, Nikki Nair brings back the raunch with a cheeky breaks-and-bleeps acid track. Dialectic Sines closes out the record with an ethereal cut backed by a hypnotic, tropical electro-techno groove.

Berlin native Arne Spremberg kicks off own label DOMUM with a pack of two substantial originals and two thrilling remixes by Man Power and Narciss. 90's rave sounds are combined with modern harmonies and rhythms adding up to a dancefloor-ready release that's not afraid of house' and techno's borders.

Colón Man is the exceptional debut album proper by visionary Jamaican dancehall artists Gavin Blair (Gavsborg) and Jordan Chung (Time Cow) plus their extended crew, aka Equiknoxx - once again for Demdike Stare's DDS label. Where their widely acclaimed Bird Sound Power primer compilation, issued on DDS in 2016, brought the rest of the world up to speed with the music produced between late '00s and 2015, their first album now brings a 2020 sound into sharp, technoid focus thru a baker's dozen steely, heat-seeking riddims galvanised with clinical electronics and a Midas Touch approach to sampling.
The record's title, Cólon Man refers to a Jamaican tale (and song) about a mysterious character, whom, like Marcus Garvey, was one of over 100,000 Jamaicans who returned from working in Cólon on completion of the Panama Canal - regarded among the greatest feats of engineering known to humankind, physically connecting the greatest bodies of water on the planet. In context of the album, Gavsborg and Timecow take the story as a metaphorical foundational for a roots and future sound, acknowledging the vital groundwork of previous generations of producers, whilst soundly contextualising their mutant new advancements of
Jamaican Dancehall.
Recorded between December 2016 and June 2017, the results of Colón Man form a stark, stripped down and conceptually blinding record. In tone and texture, the duo favour far colder, more abstract sounds, crucially lit up with sparingly used samples that lend the record its dissonant, harmonic colour and bittersweet hooks, stylishly feeding forward their playfully weird sense of humour into a rugged, nutty and even noisily imagineered set.
Bookended by the gauzy, Detroit-compatible synth looks and acid hall grind of Kareece Put Some Some Thread In A Zip Lock, and the mesh of Motor City sleekness with Far Eastern strings on Waterfalls In Ocho Rios, they distill and diversify their bonds in myriad ways across the album. There's a killer dancehall/trap hybrid in the percolate chorales and man trills of Plantain Porridge, along with the secretive dub-into-dancehall transfusion of Addis Pablo's melodica in the belly rolling Melodica Badness, while Ceremonial Eating Dog and the hyaline designs of We Miss You Little Joe - a tribute to their pal Alty Nunes - are arguably the most fwd Jamaican riddims you'll hear in 2017, and Enter A Raffle... Win A Falafel uncannily recalls the clockwork mechanics of Haruomi Hosono's Alternative 3, from his S-F-X (1984) LP.
No matter what electronic box or boxes you subscribe to, Colón Man is a hugely inventive, compelling album for the ages, a remarkable iteration of Black Secret Technology for 2017 and far beyond.

Here comes the the Hamburg based duo Fallbeil with two brilliantly aggressive tracks filling each side with mutated acid face melt. With numerous scary records on Return To Disorder, New York Haunted, and Mannequin, among other labels, these maniacs have been burning a path of over carnage the last two years and this release signals they have no intention of softening up. They aren't going limp. They can go all night in hell, hell with a lower-case H.

Toby Tobias has a lengthy history of disturbing the peace. This is his second offering for the ESP Institute. On side A, Second Stimulus stirs shimmering staccato chords, roaming pipes and detuned robotic sighs into quite the disorienting stew—the loose arrangement remaining fragmented over 9 minutes of touch-and-go 808 programming, picking up a pseudo bassline assembled from sub toms, introducing a gritty break loop and eventually blissing out into oblivion. With side B's Synchro Surfer, Toby plays with the notion of suspense by gently teasing a muted kick and percussion rhythm under washes of white noise, bleeps and sirens that are tape-dubbed and which, over time, begin a dialogue with each other, as if the machines have declared mutiny on the garage. Toby continues to stretch his limits with his output for the ESP Institute, possibly headed toward a full-fledged devolution of conventional dance music. These two songs may have you arrested for public nuisance.

Two bassheavy tracks courtesy of the Sport-camp, taking cues from Jungle's sweaty basement-past, but dragging them down to Berghain for a lil' dance.
"Heavy Baggage" has its militant techno-stomp interlaced with a selection of dusty breakbeats, while the slower "I Am Not Beautiful" begins somewhat subdued with muffled breakbeats, before turning nasty with a 4/4 kick and a sub-bass of obviously malicious intent.

'Universal Rhythm', their latest interstellar dispatch and debut on R&S is their finest work to date. An anthemic paean to the cosmos that features an impassioned spoken word missive from shamanistic MC Shovell, impressively recorded in a single take, making the case for the universality of experience and oneness of all beings.

Latin rhythms fuse with a driving Fender Rhodes lick (provided by JD73) and percolating cow bells to hypnotic effect. This calls to mind a combination of classic Carl Craig and Villalobos at his most playful. Dan Curtin's musical quest began amidst the inception of the techno and house phenomenon of the early 1990s. From his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, Dan experimented with a vast number of styles, producing innovative sounds of every variety, from Chicago to Detroit to the East Coast. Dan's impressive discography dates back to 1992 when his first releases on Detroit's 33RPM Records and Belgium's Buzz motivated him to launch his own Metamorphic Recordings. A continuous stream of releases also followed on big players like Peacefrog, Strictly Rhythm, Sublime and Soma. In 2003 Dan decided to focus on a funkier production sound, while his creative instincts provoked him to make a change to the more fast-paced music scene of Berlin. This move soon triggered a string of new releases on labels such as Bass Culture, Holic Trax and Saved. Over 70 singles and 9 albums later, Dan is just as innovative as ever whether recording under his own name or one of his many aliases such as Purveyors of Fine Funk. Dan's prolific output shows no sign of abating and he recently announced the re-launch of Metamorphic, maintaining its vinyl focus while also making many of its releases available digitally for the first time.

The 'Galaxies Merging EP' opens with the title track and as it would suggest we get Curtin in sci-fi techno mode, with trampling beats and dappled synth work. 'Mind Sweep' continues the techno theme, but this time it's high-tech funk with a deeper and soulful undercurrent, while the unpredictable, late-night workout 'To Modify' closes the EP with a bold wash of erratic electronics. As a whole, the EP offers a snapshot of the diverse elements of Curtin's estimable production skills.

Guttural, pained screams from beyond converge with mangled corrosive rhythms on the sophomore EP from DiNT for Horo. 'Hooker' convenes an impromptu post punk band out of undead skeletal pulses and spits a frustrated barb to anyone in earshot. 'Shovel' slams nails in relentlessly with an excruciating vocal refrain grinding over the band of zombies undulating bass riff, decaying as it loops. 'Skewer' drags the undead to the dance-floor with a primitive rhythm that rises and ducks, wringing out the intensity with macabre vocal commands reaching through a wall of distortion.

The next Bedrock release is the result of a collaborative project of the highest order from three of the scene's most respected creative mavericks - Gabriel Ananda, John Digweed and Nick Muir.

When it comes to the music of Miajica, there is always a variety of influences, shameless sampling and me- lodic patterns involved that touches our hearts. His love for records is a never ending story and this makes him a fantastic DJ and selector. Miajica's passion for the extraordinary is what made us at Light of Other Days fall in love with his music when we first met him several years ago.

Miajica might mostly be known for his work with Alma Negra but he is a prolific producer of his own and had some amazing releases in recent months. He also just launched the label Fleeting Wax with Mehmet Aslan - which is already getting some great attention in the balearic scene all over the world.

Miajica's first EP on Light of Other Days «Drive Down» was created from some of his recent and most striking influences: «Breathing Again» indicates the feeling after he stopped smoking and discovered this whole new world of intense emotions and sensual experiences. «L'Ae´roport» was created in one of those lost moments when you're overtired at the airport and have to wait to board another delayed flight to your next destination while the third track «Mediterraneo» is an uplifting homage to his heritage and roots in Spain.

Our leader unveils yet another facet of his production arsenal, this time turning a housey cheek, courtesy of sa ensual, yet chopped-to-bits vocal. The jacking rhythm section skips along in pure style, keeping the tight bassline in check while frantic edits help 'I Need You' to fully unfold.

Stefano Noferini nods to the old school in this double outing, and 'Furios' blasts out with a nostalgic bassline and intense beeping action over a crackling rhythm section. The title track goes for more heady territory with a hypnotizing vocal seeping in and out of the cracks, while the trademarked Noferini groove keeps the bubbling subs in check.

The undisputed groove don, DJ PP, graces 1605 with 'Revolver' Amo & Navas beef things up even more with their crunchy rhythm section, and opt for a dubbier vibe with their trademarked stomping groove and spacious, low-end percussive magic.

DJ Fronter leads us into another bouncy ride with the percussion-led 'Cntrl And Next' taking the lead and rolling out into action.

Amsterdam based artist and creative technologist Andeh Lang is back on Will & Ink. After debuting on this label in August 2016 with an uncredited black label, he now serves up three more tracks that show off his interest in shaping and sculpting sounds for the main imprint. All these tracks were created with his own custom made software and self-programmed audio algorithms. Three experimental techno excursions that go by the name of 'Susskind' showcase a wide variety of deserted techno landscaping by a creative mastermind.

Idle Hands' first release of 2018 comes from Dan HabarNam, a producer who made his name with releases skirting round the edges of DnB on Exit and Cylon. In the last few years he has turned his hand to Techno with two 12"s on hs own Selectie label that found favour with Ben UFO amongst others. Here are on IDLE049 we present two tracks of his latest work, hard hitting broken techno with maximum dancefloor potential.

We are very proud to welcome back one of our greatest artists and good friends Scott Monteith aka Deadbeat. Scott original comes from Canada but now lives in Berlin for some years.
Scott is mostly known for his own BLKRTZ label, but have been releasing on many other labels over the years.

Excellent driving Dub Techno cuts by Heib

After releasing the Nation Techno France LP (featuring Voiski, Electric Rescue, Von Grall, AWB, Kmyle PVNV, DNGLS and Lebird) and CDT001 EP by young Polish producer BYLLY, we're glad to show out a new talent. Discovered over a year ago by CDT, this young Georgian producer is stepping up with a new atmospheric and contemplative release : CDT002.

An EP deeply inspired by Nature, Georgian culture and its societal changes. Newa is a rare sensibility gifted artist creating a music that is just as groovy as it is emotional.

JTS005 bursts in delivering two timeless productions by Santiago Salazar, both cleverly reinvented by DAHRAXT, a new Mannella's project. The whole EP is the result of inventiveness musically merging and melodies into a wonderful tapestry of sound.

The original version of NBS2-19 is a dreamy driving loop beat, built on a fat kick drum, that becomes raw and biting due to that squeezed synth on DAHRAXT's version.
On the B side, both versions of NBS2-15 have a strong hypnotic drift, although the original mix is a dancefloor killer theme.

Santiago Salazar, in addition to being a member of the legendary Los Hermanos, he released an infinite amount of excellent music on UR, Planet E Communications, on his own ICAN Productions and Historia y Violencia, a co-project with Silent Servant.

The conversation started with rare Moschino coats and then led to Mr Nasa's music and the fact that Richie Hawtin had just jumped on one of his digital releases. We're really chuffed to be releasing Theo's vinyl debut. It's a pounding big room monster inspired by his first experiences of a certain Berlin nightclub. Hailing from outer space via Reykjavik, Volruptus maps out intergalactic forms of communication on 'Alien Transmissions', the latest release from Bjarki and Johnny Chrome Silver's inimitable bbbbbb records.
Title track is a disorienting dose of acid powered electropunkfunk whilst 'Jargon' uses complex polyrhythms to propel a grinding techno stomper. 'Gett Vffreakye' uses percussive breaks and mechanised vocal chops to depict aliens having a live jam in outer space, whilst closing track 'Tesseract' is an angular drum workout featuring animated bass and dissonant pad calls.
Like each bbbbbb release before it, Volruptus presents an intoxicating EP that pairs impeccable sound design with an unruly approach to genre, form and style.

Brainchild of two passionate and likeminded artists, A Sacred Geometry was born as a platform to illustrate techno as a narrative, forgoing the strictly dancefloor nature of the medium. Influences from noise, ambient and new wave coupled with their graphic identity play a crucial role in how the music is perceived, as the journey continues with each new cover art.

As the tale begins with 'Atiya', audiences experience a cacophony of slow building acid-like synths which help propel the element of mystification to the forefront of the track. 'City of Ys' continues this trend with an enigmatic voice-like tone that glides the listener through the track. The distinct inclusion of brass samples add to the melancholic atmosphere slowly ushering the listener into a dream-like consciousness. 'Maroush (Dub Edit)' takes on a different attitude, as deep ambient atmospheres prevail with Eastern inspired string instruments induce feelings of escapism.

One can be expected to continue on this journey, as this is only Chapter I of the chronicle, A Sacred Geometry will develop and evolve as the story continues to unfold.

Cómeme starts 2018 by proving again to be a safe haven and a sanctuary for sensitive plants and unique characters devoted to music - just like Miruna Boruzescu aka Borusiade - from Bucharest - who conquered the radio stations of our parallel worlds and utopian desire. 'Dream catcher' was the name of the show, and 'Jeopardy', a nocturnal EP, her first release on vinyl.

Now, after adventurous travels through night clubs, theatres, windy cities, snowy fields and merciless deserts her desires and imagination have manifested themselves in her very first album, carrying the intriguing title: 'A Body'

The record sleeve features the back of her head, making us wonder what she sees, on the other side. Her visions unfold through 8 pieces of music that follow a dreamlike narrative of associations and transformations. Somber synthetic atmospheres, sparse and spatial rhythmical arrangements, strangely seductive melodies and lysergic ally pulsating bass lines lead us away from a dystopian present towards a sensorial experience we long to repeat as soon as it's over.

'A Body' is a deeply poetic work in which again and again you will hear Borusiade's voice, sometimes dissolving and recreating meanings in mantra-like repetitions, sometimes layering itself to pagan choirs of smooth ecstasy. Then again you will also hear that voice close to you, singing, sharing an experience or a thought. It is always soft, effortless and unpretentious, but always strong, clear and precise, like the voice that speaks to you in an altered state of consciousness. It seems to come from the same person that is holding your hand, when everything else seems to fade into uncertainty while wandering through strange times and places...

Starting with the song CLUSTER the effect is kicking in, we sink into the universe of the album through this throbbing ambience that seems populated by a reverberated ant colony that broke into a synthesizer. The introduction of this album is a complex emotional soundscape that is followed by a song: BREATHE, which sounds like a classic you never heard. With its catchy melancholia, it creates a déjà vu like strange familiarity of the unknown - a memory from the future. And though our minds were just twisting and turning in an overflow of information, we suddenly leave our bodies and observe ourselves breathe.

Other tracks, like DORMANT are more focused on the narration of the body and its state. Words, describing it in many ways, softly and incessantly repeated, are mixed deeply into the soundscapes of a track that features a bass drum so soft it could be a heartbeat. Foggy moments like these dissolve in a track like AN ACUARIAN FEELING, which is queer synthesizer love, shifting in shape and momentum, a ray of light that pushes itself through the nightly atmosphere that was preceding these moments, a similar landscape in different times - a choir enters, cheerful drums, climbing and descending melodies and rhythms of hope. Just like the utopian vision in the title track A BODY, that stands at the end of this journey, which in itself just opens another new horizon.

His first release as Donnie Tempo was back in 2001 on Larry Heard's Alleviated Records, demonstrating his old school acid inspired productions. Donnie Tempo unleashes the Systems On EP due for release in September on MAMSW. The EP drops two previously unreleased tracks recorded between 1989-91 and one new production TCB, that shows that the original Chicago house sound still runs deep. Finally, Donnie has found a new home to release the uncharted authentic house jamz that he's created. Stay tuned...

Turns out he was actually a guy who used to serve me in one of my favourite pubs in Newcastle.
Back in those days he was a dub step / drum and bass kid, and as per the trend with all of those guys, he's now showing the house heads how its done, with a much keener feel for sound design, groove and a better ear for a sample than 90% of us lazy people who cut our teeth on a 4/4 beat.
Edmondson (or Sean as I did know him... and how I know him once again) is really one of the most exciting producers out there right now for me, and I couldn't be happier that we've reconnected and he's kindly allowed Me Me Me to present some of his amazing music.

"We Have Love' is an instant classic, and PSG is a work of pure emotive art.

To remix We Have Love, I've enlisted Dauwd (fresh from his amazing Album on Technicolour). Sean suggested him, and I jumped on the suggestion as he was one of the first people I met when I moved to Berlin 4 years ago, and I've been trying to figure out a way of working with him since.
He takes a We Have Love down a kind of more delicate and steppy route. It's very pretty, but also really makes you want to dance.

To remix PSG I asked ASOK. Again, I thought I first met ASOK about 7 or 8 years ago, when he came and played for a party I used to throw in Newcastle. After becoming good friends over the years, we got chatting and it turned out that we were both in Magaluf in 1998, and may have actually been involved in the same street brawl. Thats not something either of us are proud of, but its definitely food for thought.
I'm biased, but I think his remix is my favourite thing he's ever done, and I LOVE everything he's touched musically to date, so thats probably an even bigger endorsement than it first seems.

After the success of the first release, We Play The Music We Love strikes again with a new massive Ep made by a mysterious but well known artist duo: TDJ. After many releases on their label HPTY, the analogue guys decided to release on WPTMWL02 "Lights Go Out", a strong-refine EP made to satisfy both dancefloors and polished listeners as well. "Lights go out" is a techno track with dark and rave influences perfect for the big room. Lapien, from Artefakt project and DVS1 Mistress Recording, reconstructs the track and trasform the mood. The result is a very deep techno gem.

For the first varvet release we are very proud to see the resurrection of legendary Tube Jerk aka Tim Wright. With his impressive back catalogue on label like Sativae, Tresor, Nova Mute just to name a few he delivers the same intense bassline-techno as always.

The third release by the Paris based Public System Recordings knows no bounds or borders. A massive 2x12 inch compilation featuring the likes of Fallbeil, Innsyter, Morah, Buttechno and many more from the realms of heavy rust and wild animals. The heart beat of industrial noise resonating through weathered metal surfaces. PSR003 is certainly writhing with wild tribal movement informed by the ferocity of feverish drum programming, waterlogged flanging and carefully degraded waveforms creating this fully engrossing and almost unclassifiable techno selection. It certainly puts an emphasis on the "Body" aspect of EBM.

BleeD release a second EP of the year in the form of a third solo outing for label head Volte-Face, who also records alongside Daniel Avery as Rote. Recently featuring on Semantica's latest Nonnative compilation, 'You Bury Me' sees Volte-Face further refining his hypnotic, atmospheric approach to techno.

The A1, 'Shirime', is dark and trippy, with a brooding atmosphere throughout. Iori's remix on the A2 recontextualises the core elements of the original track with a broken-beat. The B1, 'You Bury Me', features a grindingly anthemic synth-line and marries it to a Gothic ambience. 'Dead Cat On The Dinner Table' rounds off the EP, an unapologetically straightforward beat underpinning some outrageous and unpredictable sounds. Early support from DJ Nobu, Svreca, Daniel Avery, Tripeo and Etapp Kyle.

Los Angeles based Natan H and Malta based artist Owen Jay return as Gauss with their first EP of 2017. Entitled Resonator it offers more deep music with an electronic soul and is their fifth EP for their cultured label Gauss Ltd. This is old school Pumpin tribe. A dancefloor masterpiece... Opening with a simple little classic sound... Then comes a more modern twirling acid spicy one... Highway is the good name for it : a nonstop growing mentaml acid pumper. B side is a preper tribe side, FKY spirit sound. It's pretty rare that after sutch a long silence a label assume its contunity into a style. Here it is well done and really upgraded. A perfect ! Must have.

Berlin based Voight is a new vinyl and digital project from a well known and respected source.

Focusing on a puristic Techno sound, the label has already seen contributions from artists such as Oliver Deutschmann, Flug, GoldFFinch, Albert van Abbe and others.

ALPI are an Italian production duo that arrive on Voight following excellent releases for Arnaud Le Texier's Children of Tomorrow and the legendary Dutch imprint Planet Rhythm. Having shared the DJ booth with artists such as Markus Suckut and Kobosil, they are one to keep a close eye on.

Wrong Assessment is also an Italian based artist who comes with a fine pedigree having released music on labels like Invite's Choice, Cleric's Clergy, EarToGround and most recently Bas Mooy's Mord.

Gauss is a collaborative studio project that has been active since 2014. Individually, Chicago native Natan H has released on labels as respected as ManMakeMusic and Finale Sessions, while Maltese producer Owen Jay has been spotted on Underground Quality and Minuendo to name but a few.

Independent from their accomplished solo careers, Gauss has a strong identity all of its own which taps into the immersive mood of Ornate Music while coming at it from a fresh direction. Kolmio is nothing short of a masterclass in pristine minimalism that sounds clearly like a pre-cursor not only to the precise tone arrangements of Alva.Noto but also to the bleep-driven reduced Techno of Hawtin, Sleeparchive et al. It's hard to believe this music dates from 1998, fr the finest frozen melodic patterns and endlessly deep, padded beats and precise bleep/tone arrangements ever made - look no further. Awesome.

Following releases from Manni Dee and JoeFarr & Martyn Hare, Leyla Records presents four uncompromising new tracks from English duo Witch. Induction Hardened Bedways is a gritty and tough techno workout from two young talents that represent Leyla's dedication to recapturing the authentic feeling of the music with a modern touch. The A-side opens with 'Zpkf', an hypnotising production that feels smothered with sand paper, its slow build erupting into a cacophonous battle between rhythm and leads that leaves the listener stranded on the dancefloor, unable to do anything but move forward into the music. 'Okhstk' follows with a more traditional approach though the sound remains just as rugged with distortion obscuring the edges of the rhythm while melodic pressure mounts until it can seemingly no longer be contained but ultimately refuses to explode. On the B-side 'Flec' starts with a steady, marching rhythm, the distorted kick drum somewhere in the vicinity of your hearing until all of a sudden it's in front of you and you can't escape its momentum. Once again Witch play with your senses, stacking rhythmic and melodic elements in a way that seems haphazard yet proves to be a clever trap that locks you into their own twisted sonic world. The EP closes with 'Vosmr', another slow-building, buzzing production with no distinctive edge that lures you in and swallows you whole. Induction Hardened Bedways offers a fresh take on techno across its four tracks showing that the original spirit of the music is alive and well, and still capable of shocking and surprising

Welcome the bavarian producer head Alex Bau with his first single 12" on Cocoon Recordings. After he set his heavy warehouse techno track "The Whip" on this years Cocoon Compilation "P", we are happy to present you two of the strongest industrial Techno tracks ever released on Cocoon Recordings in the past years. We would say this is a double A-side release, which first track is called "Illuse". Crispy drums and percussions, mixed with his punchy low end and some industrial sounds cooked by Alex Bau, create the melt down moments on the dancefloors in full effect. On "Etah" we get deep compressed drum programming push us forward to the middle of the club and ends up in a hypnotic synthesizer sequence which goes directly into the mind. This is the high energy what he brought to the point one more time. We remember all the crazy freakout moments we had with his strong "On Synth" track in 2015. No extra effects need to launch this rocket. Two heavy weights of peak time Techno music with an own signature sound, ready for some ground shaking club nights.

Our second and last vinyl for this year comes from two boys from Vienna. As a regular part of the "Do easy records" crew Andy Catana & Daniel Kovac are important component of the ambitious underground music scene from Vienna. For their first EP on Valioso Recordings the boys got support by Funk E with an great Edit of their track "Yessanossa" and an great remix from BE9er and Valioso regulars Sedee.
