Not to rest on his laurels, TX Connect's Gavin Guthrie is following that up with the 2nd release on the label by Austin's man-of-the-moment Bill Converse. themes.Bill has been known to local Austinites for years as one of Texas' bet DJs and recently released a mix for Resident Advisor highlighting those skills. But it's now his productions that are really starting to show his talents. Iconic label Dark Entries has thought enough of his work to release the seminal double album Meditations/Industry as well as the follow-up 12' Warehouse Invocation. His debut on T.R.U. contains 2 deep excursions with 7 of 9 and Ahead, both tech house masterworks that mix elements of Chicago and Detroit with a Texas flair that keeps it definitively Bill Converse. Exercise One, no strangers to the world of techno, have returned to their roots with a new EP for the heavily curated label of Eric Cloutier's, Palinoia. Four tracks, grounded in the history of techno yet looking towards the future, these hardware based jam sessions were fleshed out to provide not only peak-time floor workouts but are equal parts heady grooves. A-side tracks "Heptagon" and "Prism" fill the room with walls of sound and heavy kicks, where as the flipside's "Nitrogen" and "Thirty Four" offer a more rhythmic funk.

Ovum are proud to present a very special remix release as Josh Wink's 2015 future-shocker 'Denial' enjoys not one but two versions from Luke Slater. Splitting his complex multi personality across two sides, the UK techno lifer explores his innermost dual psyche to create two wholly different tracks. Both of which reflect the strengths of the original while taking it into vastly different directions. First up: Planetary Assault Systems. One of Luke's oldest and boldest alter-egos, here he provides a nuclear powered bulldozer of a version. Fission hisses and mechanical rasps wrap around the undulating groove that charge relentlessly with a dark funk coded into the bass. Watch out for the additional percussion and brash snares midway for added atom-splitting momentum. LB Dub Corporation follows. One of Luke's shyer personas, this is the first LB Dub Corp production since his Ostgut Ton album 'Unknown Origin' in 2013. A deeper, rolling analogue groove is at play here, suddenly dropping to reveal the loopy, automaton vocal loop from Josh's original to awesome hypnotic effect. Two distinctive, forward-thinking, visceral floor-focused remixes from one of techno's most respected, long-standing and prolific minds: Remix packages don't get any bigger than this.

FIRST FULL-LENGTH IN SEVENTEEN YEARS FROM CHAIN REACTION /FORCE INC. LEGENDS.

Ever since their initial singles were released in the mid-1990s and became international calling cards for the Chain Reaction label, the Porter Ricks duo of Thomas Köner and Andy Mellwig have represented that crucible point in which techno music leaked into new social environments and became the background music for cutting-edge cultural critique.

Their submerged 'scuba' sound, presented in dark tone colors and reverberating to infinity, is now instantly identifiable as one of the 'soundmarks' of Berlin club culture. Just as importantly, it is still a palpable aftershock of a pre-millenial genre explosion that saw deep dub, shimmering post-rock, abstract hip-hop and art-damaged noise all drinking from the same well of inspiration.

For proof of Porter Ricks' enduring legacy, look no further than the fact that 'dub techno' is now a stylistic movement that has expanded far beyond the confines of Berlin and the Basic Channel / Chain Reaction label alliance (where Mellwig's mastering skills also played a starring role). Lurid traces of PR's aesthetic can now be found in the work of producers like Andy Stott and Miles Whittaker, showing the potential for the duo's unique 'aquatic' techniques to be applied to a variety of different musical contexts.

Their new LP on Tresor, Anguilla Electrica, may be their first full-length release in seventeen full years, but it radiates with confidence and with a clarity and intensity rarely seen in a world so oversaturated with communications noise. It's made clear at once that it's a continuation of a sonic ideal rather than a tribute to what has already been achieved: the duo is not idly sitting back while their newer acolytes do their talking for them.

This new LP is well worth the wait and is a life-affirming one in an uncertain and perilous time, drowning out daily anxieties like a rush of incoming surf - yet it is far more invigorating than relaxing. True to the Porter Ricks tradition, it will be just as exciting hearing this music as it will be to experience what new cultural mutations it leaves in its wake.

The Neon Judgement hail from the small town of Leuven near Brussels, Belgium and gave birth to the New Beat and EBM scenes worldwide with the release of their first two cassettes 'Suffering' (1981) and 'TV Treated' (1982). Always a consistent duo of Dirk Da Davo (synthesizers, vocals) and TB Frank (guitar, drum machine, vocals) The Neon Judgment worked in a parallel world alongside Suicide, Cabaret Voltaire, and the Deutsche Neue Welle.

In 1983 they released the infamous 4-song 'Cockerill-Sombre' EP containing the dance-floor smash 'The Fashion Party' on Anything But Records. Dirk Da Davo says, 'First we recorded and mixed the drum parts and effects on 4-track, then we bounced this mix to 2 tracks again what left us with 2 more channels to use for vocals and additional instruments.' Veering between minimalistic industrial drones, odd new wave-ish synth pop and dance music, underlain by cold, mechanical rhythms. The band combine brash and seedy lyrics, with raw synthesizer stabs and repetitive drum machine beats both aggressive and danceable. 'Cockerill-Sombre' was recorded in a small basement room under the watchful eyes of Ludo Camerberlin from A Blaze Colour.

All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Housed in the original jacket featuring a black and white photo of the duo performing live. Each copy includes a 2-sided 11' square insert with photos of the band, lyrics, and liner notes by Dirk Da Davo.

There is a sense of urgency increasingly infecting the human condition, fragmenting our attention span, accelerating our needs and often influencing our motives when making creative decisions. Artificial was written and produced over two years, tirelessly sculpted into a sequence abstract pieces that are fiercely independent but accumulate layers of meaning when collaged. Under the moniker Shed, Pawlowitz published three highly ambitious albums in which he defined his work more and more as his own way of musical narration. 'The Final Experiment' is definitely the temporary highlight of this evolution. As musical work it does establish Shed conclusively as one of the most interesting and substantial electronic music artists of our time. It carries a vibe, that links Shed to other boundary breaking artists such as Ryuichi Nakamoto, Brian Eno and Carsten Nicolai. However, Shed found a way to develop a highly individual way of communicating electronic music, that is self-sufficient. 'The Last Experiment' is a mostly homogeneous piece of work, a meditation, where the stylistic confusion seems less important than then musical statement that it represents.

After the first year of life Rooted continues this 2016 with their Various Artists Series. 2016 has been another year to remember for Swiss producer Andrea Oliva. With releases on labels like Desolat and Knee Deep In Sound, a Radio 1 Ibiza Essential Mix and worldwide club nights for ANTS on going throughout the year, the upward trajectory seems set to continue for this ever-evolving artist and here we see him joining the roster of the every impressive Cuttin' Headz imprint.
Andrea Oliva's original mix of 'Vermona' takes the lead and sees the swiss producer fusing menacing synth drones and rumbling low end hits with his signature undulant energetic drum style.
Steve Rachmad steps up next to rework 'Vermona' under his own name first of all, delivering a smoothly unfolding six and a half minutes of raw bass stabs and upfront percussion before the latter stages introduce the original's eerie synth lines.
Then to complete the package Rachmad turns in an inrerpretation as Sterac, delivering a more robust take on things via hypnotic rhythms, mind-bending loops and subtle evolvements.

The much lauded No.19 Music serves up another excellent all Canadian affair for its next EP:behind it is producer & label co-owner Nitin, with remixes from live specialist The Mole and labelboss Jonny White aka Art Department who serves up his own hypnotic take on things.No.19 Music has been going back to its roots recently, bringing to the fore a steady stream ofincredible underground music from Torontos sons & daughters. 2016 closed out with thestandout single, Full Circle from Art Department in collaboration with AD/D, seeing supportacross the board for the return of Jonny Whites much loved moniker. However it is the longstanding partnership of White & Nitin that is the true central pillar of the No.19 story, and its thelatter that offers up here what is almost certainly his most impressive work to date.Nitin has spent 20 years deeply immersed in music, working as a DJ, producer, label owner andpromoter. He has a singular style that is fresh and forward thinking, fusing the deeper elements ofhouse and techno. As a DJ he has traversed the globe, playing everywhere from fabric toPanorama Bar, Warung to Output (NYC).Kicking off this heavweight package is the original of Sunday Grey, a beautifully atmospherictrack where rolling drums have you swaying as gentle synths pan left and right. A backdrop ofsubtle vinyl crackle sounds like waves breaking and adds to the soothing effect whilst the crispperc and dangling hi hats suck you further into the mix. Some tender and heartfelt chords gentlyjoin the picture in the second half and mark this one out as truly beautiful.In the accomplished remix from leading producer and label boss Art Department, things are moredirect and energetic. The drums are big and rubbery, the hi hats rip up the groove and the synthsare rounded and bulbous. Its a masterfully menacing version with cosmic keys adding colour andfinishing it in style. Wagon Repair and Perlon man and master live technician The Mole then getsto work by layering in waify synths, hiccuping drums and plenty of rich textures and intricatedetails that make for an infectious micro-groove.Last of all, Nitins absorbing Black Sand Beach is a soft and lush deep house affair with resonanthits, pinging drums and droning pads that are propulsive yet perfectly smooth and serene.This is a compelling and highly effective EP that shows Nitin for the true production talent that heis and is another signifier of the excitement building around the No.19 label once again.

Powell returns to the fray with New Beta Vol. 1 — seven upfront and disarmingly colourful tracks that harness a renewed energy following the intense period of production behind his densely
packed debut LP, Sport (XL, 2016). Thanks, perhaps, to a looser approach and influx of new ideas and machines, the results find him at his most playfully experimental and nuanced, revealing new aspects to his mongrel sound not heard in previous releases.
New Beta Vol. 1 will remind you of what made Powell's music so exciting in the first place — goofy, unhinged sounds sculpted into hard-to-resist and unpredictable arrangements — but in a brighter
rush of clashing tones and splintering rhythms that reinforce his roots in jungle/DNB, wave and early Belgian techno. The result is something comparable to a puckish take on AFX's mutant
Analords or Actress' discrete circuits.
This first volume (there may or may not be more) is effectively the sound of someone raised on all the raving music that the UK post-2000 and the internet has to offer. But rather than some
millenial emperor's new clothes, New Beta weaves its references obliquely throughout the record.
Whether in the curdled gob of chromatic acid opener Teddy, the clash of tart electro arpeggios and stepper drums of Freezer, or the off-the-cuff electro BEATdown of The Bust, Powell persistently transcends his influences in a way that's key to all his work and always thrilling to hear — proving how to do reverential without being derivative.
Despite the range of material on offer (this is more mini-LP than EP), it's testament to Powell's vision that they still sound like him overall. And if any one track sums up this distance from, and
consistency with, his early work, it's the rare beat-less outing of EP closer Electric Sheep, whose visceral, strobing formation betrays a burnt out and unusually sentimental aspect to an artist best known for all-out hedonism.
Cocking a wink at the upfront sonification and syncretic mutations of late '80s Belgian New Beat in both name and form, New Beta Vol. 1 identifies Powell as a more self-aware and emotional Johnny Bravo for electronic music in 2017, serving to subvert the 'roid-rage trudge of EDM and the prosaic mundanity of grid-locked line-dance music with a daringly screwball, anachronistic approach to making dancers feel strange in the rave.

The ninth release on the DSR-C series comes from Rhine. A new name with his roots in atmospheric techno steps up for his first solo EP. 'De Storm' opens the account with a loose collage of textured drums and scuffed-up synths. It makes for a bubbly groove that journeys far off into the night while 'De Bron' is more rooted underground, with cavernous echo chambers run through by supple bass synths and icy hi hat trails. Spooky and haunting, its a track to send shivers down your spine. Last of all, 'Het Meer' is a watery affair, with aqueous drips and drops, radiant pads and then more tightly coiled drums brushing up against one another to make for something atmospheric but also nicely driven. All three tracks are characterised by a rather tender and reflective mood that makes them all the more unique.

Hailing from East-Central Hungary's small town Lajosmizse, Lóri Keresztes is the introverted songcrafter-synthjammer mastermind of the Budapest based underground favourite Wedding Acid Group trio. As J.Mono he stands alone leaning on his machines, making way for his internal world, heart and soul. His first solo release Zzz is troubled and playful at the same time, with moments of electro-acid vibes and post-wave-italo sensibility, tracks that are wonderfully dark even with a light shade of ebm or just softly layered ambient melancholic technoids that make us all the children of Aphex Twin's SAW 85-92 for three minutes. J.Mono's material on Dalmata Daniel is not simply perfect club music for nice people but presents the genuine, intuitive and effortless melody maker ability that makes Lóri Keresztes the silent genius of Wedding Acid Group while DJ Overdose's remix captures and overdrives J.Mono's acid jamming roots. - Puskár Krisztián

After the last release in november 2009, Resoe has decided to relaunch Baum again. In the last couple of years Resoe has been really busy, and did not have the time to take care of the label. He has released his debut album and 12"s on Echocord, Echocord Colour, Pattern Repeat and Curle recordings since the last release in 2009. Resoe has decided that 2012 should be the year to spend time on his label again, and to do that he decided to use some of the old artwork, and redesign the design concept of the label. The future music profile of Baum will still be Deep Dub Techno, but there could come some releases that would fit under another genre. * It marked the beginning of the hugely influential Birmingham techno sound. Championed by Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke and DJ Hell, two tracks from this release were featured in Jeff Mills' seminal Live at The Liquid Room - Tokyo mix CD.

* A few words from Surgeon about the SRX series:
* While searching through old DAT tapes I was shocked to find how clear and dynamic many of my early tracks sounded, not the way I remembered them from the vinyl releases. Those early tracks, recorded 20 years ago, were mastered and cut by people who had no understanding of electronic music. I actually remember cutting a dubplate back then and being asked if my track was "supposed to sound like that" The engineer was so disgusted at my music that once the cut started he left the room until it was finished.

* Although some of these releases have been repressed many times over the years, they have always been from the original plates from those early cuts; none have ever been re-mastered and recut in their original from. So I began carefully transferring everything from the original DAT tapes and working closely with Christoph Grote- Beverborg from Dubplates & Mastering in Berlin (who's been cutting my all my releases since 1996) to present this early material as it was originally intended.

* Along with the early Downwards releases, I found high-quality unreleased tracks from that time as well as releases that had only been issued in limited pressings; those too are included in this project. For the packaging I commissioned Ken Meier and Yoonjai Choi from the New York design firm Common Name to create some sumptuous sleeve art.

After two tracks included on the first two compilations by Tiptop Audio Records (alongside names such as Kink, Blawan, Surgeon, Drumcell, Richard Devine, etc.), the label is proud to announce ANGLE's first EP 'Hold Your Breath'. It's the first vinyl EP released by the Californian label dedicated to sound research through the use of modular synthesizers. The EP includes 2 original tracks by ANGLE and 2 remixes realized by Luca Agnelli and Maxime Dangles. The title track moves along with the solid kick and sequencer pulse ANGLE is known for as ghostly female vocals flit in and out of the mix, perhaps even evoking shades of vintage 'Chris and Cosey'. 'Landing' opens with a more urgent rhythmic throb before a slightly sinister chord sequence arrives to provide a sense of both sonic relief and distress. Luca Agnelli remixes the title track down to a fairly minimal affair, that brings not only the beat but voice to the forefront - a very spare breakdown around the midpoint might make this the choice for the minimal DJ set. The first 'Hold Your Breath' remix by Maxime Dangles ('Repeat') highlights the track's rhythmic base by overlaying dense echoes and loops to a bass heavy underpinning. Dangles' other mix 'Diskoid' adds in the sequencer of the original as it builds and breaks to its own internal logic cycles. ANGLE's 'UK' rolls back the clock a few decades with classic hi-hats, claps and even a little zap or two, and then weaves thoroughly modern and somewhat dark sound design in between the spaces creating a hybrid style.

For the first release of the new year , Etruria Beat´s prodigy Dast is back with a four tracker ep .Pangea 2015 was crazy for the Italian producer : his Deep Down track ( also on Etruria Beat ) was all over the place , played by the main cats and licenced by Papa Sven himself for The Sound of The Fifteenth Season on his Cocoon imprint . This first encounter with the Franfurt label led to the release of Paraormal Effect which was also big success . But now is the time to come back home . This new record starts with the title track Pangea : we can directly recognize Dast signature of shuffle drums and catchy synth lines , dreamy pads and strong melodies . Next is Luca Agnelli ´s rework . Etruria label owner chose to keep most of the synthesizer parts and lay down a strong techno beat under them. A subtile mix of rough and soft . The B side start with Panthalassa that is synonym of 'Party", involving, melodic, in complete Dast style. The tenth release on the Spazio Disponibile label comes from co-founder Neel and marks his first solo EP ever. The Italian DJ, producer and mastering engineer is known for his supple and subtle techno both solo or as one half of Voices From the Lake with Donato Dozzy. Previous solo outings appeared on labels like Prologue and Spectrum Spools, and now he shows off his sound design skills once more across three compelling and intense techno cuts on his own label.

For its fourth release, Harry Agius aka Midland's Graded label has signed its first new act in the form of Montreal-based Solitary Dancer. With 'Desire & Apathy' being instantly familiar to anyone who heard Midland's Essential Mix earlier this year, this eponymously titled release marks the debut of Solitary Dancer, as well as Agius' second time stepping into the role of label A&R following Hubie Davidson's appearance on Graded's 'Regraded' sub-label last year.

Air Cushion Finish formed in Berlin in 2007 and comprises of composer jayrope and natural vocal synthesizer Lippstueck, who have graced Berlin's underground scene together since the 1990's. Lippstueck sings, wordless and backwards in time while his partner jayrope tends DIY, electronic, string or percussion instruments small enough to fit into a small suitcase. Changing setup and subsequently music is programmatic to the band, resulting into an unforeseeable slow motion cacophony of whispers, bleeps, rhythms and harmonies. There's a notion of Dada, but you never know.The 8th studio album of ACF marks their current state of poetical accident, swaying, swinging and bouncing, boldly careful, like a transparent tattoo on your forehead.

Opening the B-side Perc provides the peak time moment of this 12" as he fires up the already energetic 'Bad Blood' in his own confrontational style. Closing things off, London's Randomer makes his debut Perc Trax appearance with a radical take on Ansome's original mix of 'Back Alley Sally' as swarming live percussion and synth stabs lead the charge...

As with the original 'Stowaway' album Elliot Fox provides the main illustration, with Perc Trax design guru Jonny Costello creating the centre art.

Not Waving takes 2017 by the scruff with his Populist EP, consolidating the myriad stripes of his acclaimed Animals album in four extended peaktime hammers forged for darkrooms, basements and warehouses alike.
If last year's LP saw you thru from day-into-night, or vice-versa, this one is aimed squarely at the gurny hours of abandon in between, with ferocious acid lines and jabbing drums stripped down and strapped up to prompt reckless behaviour on the 'floor.
Containing his first material written in the wake of Animals, the Populist EP is Alessio Natalizia a.k.a. Not Waving's strongest dancefloor statement since the one-sided Get Serious (2015) bullet.
It finds him taking the opportunity to make straight-up bangers, rather than 'songs', which were thoroughly tried and tested over successive tours of the USA and ountless shows in Europe too in
the last 9 months.

For ages nighttime was said to be the time of ghosts and spirits. Creatures of the night were believed to gain special powers between midnight and dawn. In latin this shrouded in mystery lapse of time was called "intempesta" - time without time.
Detlef Weinrich, alias Toulouse Low Trax, too, seems to have lingered in the irrational universe of frozen continuity quite frequently within the last two years. Everyone who drifts to the sound of his first solo album "Mask Talk" will soon sense the musical intensity boding a different dancefloor.
Cool, atmospheric new-wave-sharpness, and a cushioned beat rate between 107 and 116 bpm call out a mechanical functionality that doesn't bow to any contemporary doctrine. "Mask Talk": urban music, club album. Big city lights in Africa. Chilly neon-sounds made in Dusseldorf.
As a member of Kreidler, Weinrich just recently participated in the trio's newly found cosmic vibes, as well as in their album "Mosaik 2014". Now, with his solo project, he is demonstrating that a MPC and a small synthesizer-ensemble are enough to bring alive futuristic dance music in the here and now.
Bedroom-recorded under tense creative circumstances, the ten tracks invoke, mostly instrumentally, an eerie atmosphere that would fit in perfectly with an early John Carpenter movie. The tracks' volume sounds as if a whole band had been at work in Weinrichs own four walls. With plenty delay on the bass figures, compact analogue effects, percussive dabs and a rough blend of layers, Weinrich has, without any digital support, created quivering drum machine music, whose dancability he was able to test regularly as a resident DJ and co-owner of the Dusseldof-based club/ bar "Salon Des Amateurs". His new tracks breathe the hypnotic power of his DJ sets, where he arranges diverse rhythms between krautrock, cosmic, electronic and acid. They also remind of analogue-electronical pioneers such as Cluster or Peter Baumann. Also 1980s avant-gardists Cabaret Voltaire or Zazou Bikaye have left their mark, without Toulouse Low Trax explicitely referring to them.
All tracks are committed to experiment. They leave room for every sound without neglecting rhythmical clarity. A dark, urban solanum, full of reverb, whose melodies are never prankish, but whose minimal nonchalance is sure to help not only the dark creatures through the night. "Form is essence brought to the surface" Victor Hugo wrote 150 years ago. "Mask Talk" is reasserting this theory as a destillate of an operating procedure seeking to subvert ingrained listening habits and to resharpen the contours of the audible. Electronic music beyond any categorisation, whose sounds and rhythmics grow to an emotional atmosphere that far exceeds the immediately hearable.

After years of mainly working on coproductions, Andre Crom started to dive deep into solo studio work in november 2015, and since then has been pretty much obsessed with nothing else. 

These tracks belong to the first results of these endeavours, more will soon follow.

The EP opens with "Jaunde", a detroit-influenced spacy cut, somewhere between techno and house. Building on the foundation of a solid Kick&Sub groove we are welcomed by a deep and hypnotic arp theme, wrapped into warm bass pads and a classic string. A perfect track for the later hours of a set.

"Ritus" is aimed more towards building tension, an energetic syncopated stab lead, demanding claps and a tight groove build towards an epic breakdown, before a warm pads gives resolve.

"Momentum" is clearly the peaktime cut of the package, built around driving percussions and an intense arp lead.

Charlotte De Witte, one of Belgium's most promising newcomers and known from several EP's on Turbo, makes her OFF debut with a remix of Jaunde, taking things into a more linear and darker direction.

Dissonant is back with a very significant new signing, Cardace & Perazzini and their most complete artistic statement to the date displayed in two parts. 'Noir Jungle - Part I", sets the tone to this exciting project where the talented Italian duo explores different dimensions, taking house and techno as basis to build up with amazing diversity a truly unique style on top of it. 'Grow Box' engage you into a fascinating mysterious route, using strong undercurrents of sub bass and spacious reverb processing, to inspire a truly immersive experience. The detail in the drums is paramount, constantly evolving throughout the track and propelling the metallic textures and spoken word samples towards a dynamic end-point at the deep end of the techno spectrum. 'Noir' leads the way with a catchy hook rooted in cinematic jazz samples that flirt with the crisp drum programming, creating a piece that moves gracefully between tight house rhythms and loose live sounds. This juxtaposition gives the track a natural flamboyancy as well as an atmosphere of seduction, without ever losing sight of the fundamental funk at the heart of the Cardace & Perazzini sound. 'Jungle Terrace' leads the way with a dynamic, enchanting workout that rides on an hypnotic experimental synth tone and a many-layered groove built from organic percussion. These drum licks and wooden ripples lend a natural feel to the track as it twists through crafty edits and a mysterious vocal sample, creating a truly distinctive dance track in the process. This is a record that gives the taste of the forthcoming double-pack, introducing the core qualities and diversity of Cardace & Perazzini' sound while raising anticipation for what else they have in store for us on Noir Jungle part II.

When he's not DJing at the likes of Panorama Bar or hosting his own stage at Tomorrowland, Red D can be found running his own mighty fine We Play House label from his Ghent HQ.
Moan The Mania opens this release in suitably back to the raw fashion! A minimal drum machine groove and clipped bassline lay the foundations of this tribute to all things jacking with a sprinkling of porno groans to help you on your way. This is sleazy machine funk at it's very best. Next up we have a remix from Eli Escobar, the native New Yorker who has recently been making major waves following the release of his LP Happiness on Classic.
As someone who has remixed the likes of Lana Del Rey, Kim Ann Foxman, Honey Dijon and Holy Ghost we knew he'd be the man to take Red D's baton and run with it.
Keeping the overall vibe of the original intact
Eli cranks the energy further with additional in your face percussion parts and a couple of perfectly placed build ups. Flipping over we have Chase The Cat which takes a similarly stripped-back and minimal approach as Moan The Mania but goes heavier on the 707 beats. Finally we have Dusk Or Dawn closing the release with a deeper mood.
Simple FM synth stabs and glassy chimes provide a tender and naive-sounding counterpoint to the basic beats.
Red D proving once again that limiting your tools and not over-complicating things can often have so much more impact when it comes to house music.

They deliver a classy and catchy latin Freestyle Tune featuring a prominent voice sample. "People Like Me" has been lying in the label's drawer for some time, it is a personal favourite and this track is the reason why Shaddock Records was founded.
Finally the time for its release is here - backed on the B-Side by a mind-blowing and much darker electro/industrial remix by DJ Stingray.

Cottam returns to the eponymous label that started his musical journey with a couple of first for the label - more than two tracks and a step away from the reworks that have usually characterised this label to more original work with a minimum of samples, all with a nod to Paul's continued struggle with illness.

Raising the temperature, Heat Stroke has a dub techno vibe, mixing classic house drums with crunchy percussion and disembodied voices for a tripped-out old school Chicago feel.

Lymph Nodes drops the pace and drops the bass, an almost unmasterable bassline mixes with far-easten strings and percussion for a heavyweight head-nodder that builds an unsettling vibe, proper haunted house.

Wall of Sound is nothing to do with Phil Spector but is a real builder, starting like (proper) minimal house and working the percussion & effects, with warning shouts, ghostly cries and ethereal voices that spin in &, out of the mix. A real change of mood track that will freak out the floor without resorting to obvious build-and- drop tactics.

Respected House and Techno artist DJ Deep returns to Rekids with four murky productions this June.

Having been a staple in the Parisian scene for over two decades, DJ Deep's vast knowledge of electronic music is indisputable making his return to production in recent years all the more exciting, releasing on Tresor, Rekids, and his highly regarded label Deeply Rooted.

'La Grande Brasserie' features rolling kicks and a subtle rhythm as futuristic stabs ebb in and out of the mix, contrasting to the '2e Service' version which, whilst sharing a similar aesthetic, sounds bigger with its echoing synths and infectious claps.
On the flip, both tracks are more dark and mellow in comparison; 'Paris Heartbeat' demonstrates twisted atmospherics and gloomy elements, whilst the intricate and mesmerising 'Chord Kids' is exemplary of DJ Deep's ability to craft imaginative left-of-centre cuts.

Arriving as the first release of the new sublabel series FIGURE JAMS, this split EP by Fabrizio Lapiana and Amotik serves not only as a crafty cut in its own right but also showcases a particular type of package, which Figure will be facilitating from now on. The A-side is taken up by a pair of Lapiana's irresistably dense grooves that unmistakebly tread in the footsteps of his homeland's highly emotional techno, unafraid of big melodies but also injecting just the right amount of twisted acid to set the floor ablaze. This sense of grandeur and space is also reflected in the work of fast-rising producer Amotik. Painting with his very own colours as an equally epic scenery, its bleak and post-apocalyptic landscape dominated by broken industrial beats and hypnotically swirling synths.

Here we present a re-release of their astounding full debut for Spacebar Sentiments, the ' Fogrequing EP '. Comprising of James Watts (KiloWatts) and Bil Bless (Son of the Electric Ghost, The Disciple Grin), this is evidently material written by two producers at the peak of their powers. Straddling the thin line between breaks and electro (just the way we like it), this has the energy and funk of good breaks, with the amazing sound design and futuristic edge of electro... 'Fo' kicks off the EP in fine fashion, with hints of P-funk peeping out from amongst the mind-blowing programming. 'Drama Quing' follows, and sounds like a friendlier version of Aphex's 'Windowlicker', adding truly beautiful padded chord progressions to the sharp electro underbelly. Limbertimbre grabs the bull by the horns on the flip and ups the tempo of 'Fo' while keeping the funk in full effect. 'Ogre' rounds the EP off nicely with a glitched downtempo jam that urges us to 'check the rhythm'. Good advice, as just when you think you have got a handle on it the track has sped up, slowed down, sped up again, and those of you who were brave enough to attempt dancing in the first place are left spinning...

Stefan Vincent brings the heat with his first solo EP for Anagram, titled 'A Way Out'. The EP opens with 'She Will Keep An Eye Out On Catastrophe': a stunning modernist take on classically composed ambient music. The title track is a melancholic and building track with a healthy dose of four-to-the-floor power. We continue on the flip side with 'Join Us In The Waves': a percussive and swingy acid workout. The last track on ANAGRAM009 is Vincent's 'Everything I See Returns To You Somehow' and it shows the more electro-oriented side of Stefan Vincent's productions with a subtle wink to 90s IDM. Although his approach regarding this track stands on its own, the same profound atmospheric vibe the rest of the tracks have echoes through this layout as well. It's that same echo that stays with us as one of the highlights of our discography comes to an end. Stefan approached this release as a multidisciplinary composition, in which he explores both his musical talent as well as his talent for visual design and painting. The cover artwork of 'A Way Out' was painted by Stefan himself with his music for this release in mind, giving the EP a true Gesamtkunstwerk feeling. This is Anagram number 9, get on it.

The original Klakson funkateers Steffi and Dexter return to true form with three punchy techno/electro cuts! "Zatlap" on the A Side is a lush nighttime driving track with an urgent bassline powering all through the song while spaced out strings develop. The B-side's "Kopstoot" is a pure funk workout in the Detroit tradition while "De Fles" builds a stack of airy pads on top of a playful question and answer bass riff to maximum effectiveness!!!
