Jann arrives on Pinkman with a soundtrack of breathless panic, an ode to a blighted world of diesel fumes and indifference. Rhythms are grizzly, gored and torn. Thick chords judder, revving like a clapped-out engine as metal slashes at savaged snares. Acid scorn is poured on this inhospitable world, amplified by the haze of distortion that clouds Jann's hard and cold vision

Following on from his release on Beneath's Mistry imprint, Webstarr inaugurates his De Grey label with a three-track collection of bass-flecked techno.Opener 'We Can't Have Nice Things' evokes Punch Drunk and the Bristol sound as skittering beats deliver a two-step-like rhythm, propelled along by a synth melody that teases a potent breakdown. Meanwhile 'Warsaw' bumps along with a brooding bassline that gives way to multi-layered percussion direct from an Eastern Bloc steel mill.
Closing track 'Exit' changes gear to play to the floor as a piercing kick and clap drum pattern combines with the subtlest of sub-bass and sharp synths that probe behind your eyes to lift the track effortlessly in a 2016 nod to Detroit.

Following on from son.sine and Sven Weisemann on Delsin's deep and house leaning series of releases is Artefakt with a new three track affair entitled The Fifth Planet EP. The Dutch duo has been making music for the mind on labels like Field and Prologue for a few years, and are experts at conjuring up atmospheric grooves that seduce your soul. Opener 'Transit' is a thick, heavy and heady track with rubbery kicks tunnelling deep. Above it, smeared, sombre synths gets stretched and skewed into trippy forms and the whole thing has you as a slave to the groove. 'From Our Minds To Yours' is quicker and more overkill, but is again rooted in rolling rubbery kicks. Hypnotic once again, the synths here are lighter, more airy and more uplifting and induce trance like states of mind. Lastly, 'The Fifth Planet' steps it up another gear, with celestial melodic patterns, heavy synth daubs and spine tingling pads all expanding around a ticking techno groove. This is expertly crafted, serene and supple stuff that will sound perfect in the dead of night on some intimate and spaced out dancefloor.

Channel#9 collects five tracks of free flowing techno from Italy's Ascion. A talent who has graced labels like 3TH and Repitch, this EP balances floor fervour with subtle warm washes and colder echoes. The lulling wonders of "Anhatolia" hark back to a time of dreamlike ambience, that calm turning frosty in the early morning light of "Illusorium." Those arctic currents become knifelike in the jagged thump and bitter acid barbs of "Doubledpang" But the rasp never turns too venomous. "Fraxtile" and "Cybbar" are from a similarly murky place, reducing some of the throbbing pound to allow melting melodies to shift and swirl. Spirited and soulful with just a hint of serpentine. Limited to 250 coloured copies in a printed sleeve with a photo by the Dutch Photographer Awoiska van der Molen.

Bambi is back and as effective as ever!
50WEAPONS proudly presents two stripped back club tracks by Bambounou, our main man for dancefloor euphoria. Watch him drop both of the tracks in his Boiler Room set in Paris in September 2013 and you'll understand what we mean. YouTube commenters have since been all over these tracks.
'Feel Like This' is built around a hypnotizing vocal sample with hi hats sharp enough to cut a hole right through your braincells to activate your dance-nerves. Leaving your synapses to the mercy of the pounding kick drum which is fat enough to get everyone in the room moving.
'Onto This' sees Bambounou unleash his talents in a very NY-esque way, with those sharp skippy hats that are definitely drawing on UK garage and one of the grooviest organs we've heard since "Kaoz on King Street". Both tracks will definitely reap lots of support, from Panorama Bar to the beaches of Croatia and back to Paris.

Nico Leschien and René Polley alias D. Instructed loves to play with the Filter and Effect knobs of their analogue synthezisers. Creating an unique character of electronic producing, somewhere between Chicago House ( Scrapped Box ) , dark Dub Techno ( Squirt Core ) and deep Detroit Sounds. ( Whitelake ). All tracks on the White Lake Ep sounds like a mix of 90´s grooves and futuristic modulation. "Gu´s Highfly Dub", a different version of Whitelake track, remixed by Gunnar Hemmerling, member of Eintakt label since the beginning. Floating Chord sounds, very deep and nice hypnotic flow..... Enjoy
D. Instructed ( alias Dirty Instructed ) also runs "Funk Injacktion" label, keep in mind, nr. 03 will come soon.
The Berlin based electronic label Eintakt' was established by Markus Lang aka Dj Plastique in 2001. In the beginning his own productions together with Telly Quin where in the foreground. In the course of upcoming releases Plastique invited more and more musicians from the steady growing friendship and surrounding of Eintakt records to release on the label.
The philosophy of the Eintakt label is to keep the electronic underground alive while being open-minded for further development. During the last 15 years many national and international artists joined the Eintakt mosaic and generated a label that evolved to a multicultural musical concept.
The labels independent and varied distribution structures made it possible to found new projects and concentrate on experimental sounds and grooves.
With every new release Eintakt gives artists the opportunity to even create their own graphics and design for the release, and to generate an individual work.
Thanks to all friends and artists, giving the label permanent creative inspirations. The Eintakt platform was expanded with the sublabels Hot Content' , Rare' and Townhousemusic'.

"When the sky turns dark, the world sounds a lot different." (De:Bug)
Dark Sky represent progression. The London duo have never settled for a specific sound nor dwelled in a single niche too long. What's striking about all their releases is their passionate love for all kinds of electronic music not exclusively dance floor related. This is no different with Othona, the second album from Dark Sky on Monkeytown Records. Across nine tracks Matt Benyayer and Tom Edwards manage to reinvent themselves once more by merging contemporary techno, classic electronica and their roots in British bass music into a touching and thrilling whole.
With releases on Black Acre, 50WEAPONS, Tectonic and Mister Saturday Night, Dark Sky have numerously proved their versatility. There's the vibrant deep house of In Brackets, the colourful 2step and breakbeat excursions on Black Rainbows and the vocal-laden melancholia of imagin. Othona picks up on the sound of their 2014 debut and tweaks it just in the right spots. Matt and Tom left vocals off altogether and left the intriguing melodies, shapeshifting rhythms and heavy bass do all the dramatic work. This album reveals them as an integral part of the Monkeytown family as well as innovators in their own right.
A large part of Othona is the result of Dark Sky's touring experience. Years of putting together their live sets encouraged them to focus on hardware instruments and samplers, preferring a more hands-on approach to computer screens. The album is also heavily inspired by photos and field recordings they took of isolated structures within different landscapes. One particular location which caught their attention was Bradwell-on-Sea in Essex, which is based on an ancient Roman fort called "Othona". After visiting the site on numerous occasions they discovered a small self-sustaining community of people living right beside the structure, which had its roots in the aftermath of the Second World War. "Its early pioneers created a movement that sought to pursue reconciliation and understanding between people of different faiths, cultures and nationalities', Matt and Tom explain. "This notion of harmony between individuals really inspired us".
The idea of harmony is not only rendered in the artwork by Harry Cresswell, which was based around the location, but can be heard throughout the album. Othona is always challenging and never takes the easy route, but its tracks constantly reveal the purest form of beauty. The title track opens the album and gently introduces its musical range with emotive pads, elaborate beat programming and subtle club signifiers, which steadily develops into the epic midtempo trance of "Domes". The slightly nostalgic synth melodies and cute bleeps of "Badd" bring to mind classic Aphex, which is never a bad thing, while "The Walker" channels ubiquitous melancholy into a standout moment of euphoria. Dark Sky are never short of emotional elements, but they know very well where to put them. Just listen to closing track "Field Tower", giving the kick drum its final overwhelming appearance - no doubt that this is going to be a highlight in their new live set.

With our own record label, ran from the legendary Mary Go Wild Basement in Amsterdam, we will focus on connecting like-minded artists. Expect quality techno and acid productions only. Dutch national heroes will be teaming up with international pioneers to create instant classics that will stand out. Welcome to Mary Go Wild !
(rod remix) After tearing apart the Mary Go Wild Basement last year, Gregor Tresher returned to Amsterdam for the worldwide release of his new Quiet Distortion album on vinyl. He left us with a track that needs to be heard. We got him in touch with another Basement legend, Benny Rodrigues, who obviously didn't hesitate to join in and make the remix under his ROD Malmok techno alter ego.

Released in a limited edition of 70 copies. Artwork made by Kir and printed on heavy duty paper. Recorded live during an Ekstrakt party, in the legendary Medika squat in downtown Zagreb. KIR is the production moniker of WhyBaneWhy, resident DJ of Belgrade's dankest technoclub, Drugstore. Bane's sets incorporate a wide range of influences and travel far off the beaten path, drawing in influences from techno to new wave to power electronics, obscure ambient, folk music, twisted echoes found deep in lost wormholes and whatever else it takes to distort your feelings, lost and disorientated whilst working up a sweat. KIR takes all this and pushes the envelope with punishing hardware. Its visceral music, embracing drones, repetition, rippling soundscapes and obscure sonic horizons, to boldly go where others throw in the towel.

Canadian Paolo Rocco kickstarts the New Year with his Judgement EP on Hot Creations. The first release of 2017 is an international affair, with Manchester born Trevino and one of the most spoken names of last year, Greece native Detlef on remix duties.
Initially making a name for himself through his DJing skills back home in Montreal, Paolo's productions entered the market in 2012 with instant international support. His releases on Real Tone, One Records, Saved and others were all met with high acclaims as were the compilations he mixed for Defected and Get Physical. The creation of, 'Judgement' and 'That's It' prove Paolo truly understands what works on the dance floor.
2016 saw Detlef reach new heights whilst also debuting on Hot Creations with his 'Kinky Tail' EP. He returns to the label with a devastating edit of 'Judgement' and his rolling signature sound.
Trevino aka Marcus Intalex ramps up the EP with his remix, centred around shimmering high hats and a freaky groove. A champion of how a DJ can achieve success in two different genres, Trevino has released on several of the most praised drum & bass and techno labels for a number of years.

A new ExoPlanets release is coming out from the 30drop shuttle. Univac, a side project of Geistform's mastermind Rafa M. Espinosa, presents Unknown Radio', an electrocharged bomb EP. Starting with Detroitian electro- heritage, Univac, push up the style into a rhythmical, elegant and contemporaneous status. Four original tracks and a remix by the legendary Der Zyklus (Drexciya, Dopplereffekt, Arpanet,...). Unknown Radio', the homonymous track, opens up the work backward- looking to the techno dancefloor. Lunik' purpose a cold and explicit electro discourse, well understood and remanufactured by the hands of Der Zyklus. Null' is an electrical discharge and, finally, an energy-boost called Zender' closes the work. Unquestionable job.

Another day, another project here at Hizou. This time the first in our Special series of strictly-limited vinyl releases focusing on another side to the electronic music we love, yes, a little different to the classic Chicago and Detroit-inspired sounds of our main label, but with just the same passion, pride and panache. Friend of the label W&P Hgg (aka Hugo Giner) returns with Techno Is Back, a cut darker and more twisted than the timeless and jazz-influenced house he is usually associated with, while the enigmatic Ithkuil debuts with Speak My Language, a slice of truly dope deepness. The much-touted duo Gauss enhance their rapidly-growing reputation with Diversey River Bowl, another uncompromising delivery of machine funk, whilst the vastly-experienced pairing of Jaime Read and Owen Jay join forces on Aalto, a groovy, acid-inspired little number.

Traditionelle Klassik-Orchestrierung trifft elektronischen Underground-Sound!

Informationstechno was released on cassette in 2014 via Zeon light and it was nominated for best Swedish dance album of the year at Manifestgalan 2015. During 2015 the band received attention from Swedish radio P2 and P3 and performed a series of gigs at home in Stockholm.
The second album 'Informellt' was released on Lamour 2015 and a remix album called 'Reformellt' released early 2016.
Motormännen make information techno infused with an air of Swedish nostalgia through a filter of retro-futuristic skepticism. The music is packed with minimal acid loops and samples with excerpts from Swedish politicians, documentaries and Christer Glenning, reflecting on times when the cold war and the traditional welfare state were dissolving. Inhibitions were relaxed and new, foreign influences crept into the body of society and the old information monopolies. Motormännen's tracks are visually enhanced by messages from pictures and videos from the 1970's and 80's.

Tracks included cover the full spectrum of Myler's dynamic range, via an excellent display of Techno. Visually Myler sent himself out and took some photos of the industrial estate he used to work at, of which can be seen in the cover artwork with our own EarToGround angle included.

Cosmin TRG's Fizic is proud to present its first 2017 release, from an exciting new name. Serb is born and raised in Craiova, Romania, where he spent his youth playing guitar in Nihilistic, a local punk band. In 2014 he released his debut 12 on Transient Recs. His sophomore record is a prime example of his unique, cerebral take on dance music. Qui Vive is a somber, syncopated elegy of rugged elegance, with fizzy drums and percution filtering in and out over the fragile melody. Feet Locked is analog honey poured into your post-rave ear. After-glow synths follow an expertly modulated bass. Finally, Persistent Prick echoes the esotheric explorations of Actress, with added twisted funk. Serb's impressive talent and exuberance flow through his music, expect more from our new signing in the very near future. Qui Vive arrives on Fizic on March 24, 2017 (12/ Digital) Original cover artwork by Cosmin Nicolae

Poverty Is Violence kicks off 2017 with a 4 track EP written by a well known soldier of the house / techno scene, Having notched up releases on numerous go to labels, he has established himself as one of the most consistent and talented artists of the last decade.
Covariant (his pseudonym for Poverty Is Violence) takes the tougher driving elements of forward thinking techno and merges it with the house sensibilities of early Chicago and New York. He delivers 3 storming tracks that come with a killer remix from Poverty's other secret warrior of the dance, XXX.
A1 Hum, combines killer distorted synth lines with huge pounding kicks driving along at a rate of knots, and having been extensively road tested it's safe to say it kicks hard on the floor.
A2 Devils Drums is a psychedelic drum work out that sounds like it was produced by the dark lord himself. Rolling distorted hats, snares and kicks tear your face off like John Travolta on crystal meth. Proper food for the dance floor.
B1 Hum (XXX remix) XXX returns to Poverty with his killer synth antics. Waves of heaviness attack your senses like soldiers storming a beach -it's pure dance floor murder cultivated and designed to destroy the floor and your mind.
B2. Druggy Drum is a pounding melodic acid workout. A funked out backline and drugged out rolling beats keep the workout chugging whilst spacey atmospherics encompass you as the track rolls forward with an abstract, ever developing Mills-esque riff - killer stuff.
This ep is already supported by those in the know including, Delta Funktion , DJ Pete, john heckle, Bas Mooy, Ben Sims, Charlton, Shifted, 65D Mavericks, Kamikaze Space Program, James Ruskin, Simon Shreeve / Monic, Stranger, J.Tjin, Damcase, 138 and many more.

Bristol has long been known for its deep love of everything dubwise, from reggae through to the flourishing bass scene the city is now synonymous with. Hailing from this melting pot, dubspeeka continues the tradition with 3 heavy cuts that effortlessly blend speaker punishing subs with the driving, crisp techno that Oliver Huntemann's new Senso Sounds label is becoming known for. First up is Move - the title an unavoidable directive seemingly emitted from the propulsive groove. The track oozes menace and tension -its heads-down attitude will go over big on harder-edged dance floors. Likewise, title track Fargo is relentless in its mission - the tough bottom end and tight groove is offset by some surprisingly subtle pads - but the result remains a hypnotic bruiser of a cut. Spiral Tribe, named after the legendary free party warriors of the 90s, completes the release. Every bit as at home in a dark warehouse as a outdoor rave, dubspeeka seems to be flying the flag for true tough-as-nails party music - and long may it continue.

Last Trasmissions from Solaris was inspired by the Stanislav Lem's novel Solaris, a journey into techno-soul emissions explored by the talent of passEnger. It combines a subdole sci-fi atmosphere with solid techno approach and scientific electro incarnation. Here you can find a direction if your soul needs an utopian vision of the future. The closest thing to Detroit we've been able to produce over the years.

PL007 is the beginning of a duo with Praymond and Thomas Murphy.
It all started by setting up a temporary music studio in an old farm made of stones in the french countryside during the heat wave of Summer 2016 in France
First, plug a microphone and start recording a couple of dry leafs crunched with gentle hands and mixed with the sound of ice cubes tingling at the bottom of a Pastis' glass add to this some brushes played on a newspaper and fingers banging on the edge of a Kalimba, then finally, build around with your drum machines and analog synths.
The result is a classy brand a alternative minimal techno, mixing acoustic rhythmics and relentless swing.
None of the tracks were designed for massive big room' type techno with big drops' and never ending build ups' but more for human size bounding experiences and never ending after partys.
Both slow burning tracks have in common a introspective quality, specially Les Cailloux but both tracks remain Solar in essence.
Cadillac has a more Gold tooth & Chains attitude to it and could remind the listener (If he ever had the experience) of being on the run in a get away car, stepping on the gas, crossing the desert with an open roof top after robbing our dear financial institutions :)

Panel Trax has grown international due to the producers and the trax being played abroad. The label is releasing trax in the spectrum of techno, acid, minimal, detroit, ambient and dub.
It is into oldschool a new things as well but doesn't want to follow the actual trends. It just has a focus on atmosphere and sounding.

Once again Life and Death presents an assemblage of some of today's finest artists with a Various Artists release of such high quality that it could have easily stood out as distinct and separate releases. But together these producers and their contributions combine to create something even greater than the sum of their parts. A story assembled from different voices that slowly builds from Sei A's opening Muladhara-centered Hyper Venom' and takes off from there, following the path of these musical Mahatmas as they riff on various states of elevation.
Following Sei-A's opener is Locked Groove's shift to the Undenary with Eleven', a triumphant score for the everyman's ascent. From there, the ever adept Scuba comes strong with Glacial', a deep track that shifts focus back and forth between both what lies below the surface and what climbs above it. And then, finishing the rise upward is Alex.Do's expertly woven Rising' which delivers on the promise that its title offers, never backing down and moving ever onwards and upwards even in its final rising tones.

The fourth release on Bjarki and Johnny Chrome Silver's bbbbbb Records, comes hot on the heels of the first. Two and three are limited run, vinyl only, hand stamped releases to be sought out from your local dealer.
Bjarki returns as Cucumb45 with the 5-track EP 'Something Weirdcore'. On the surface there are elements of jungle, breakbeat, techno and rave, but to say this spans genres would be an understatement - it defies them.
The title track instantly commands attention with breaks samples offset against indecipherable robotic groans and melancholic chords, but a sudden change of drum pattern shows this is more than a reprieve of known territory - it's a voyage away from the limits of tempo and genre.
This theme is explored throughout the EP by way of unnerving stripped back techno (Akureyri), electro with subtle inflections of dancehall (Comatack) and even a big beat/dub influenced jam (Music for Advertising). As Cucumb45 plays with genres as we know them, so he does with the emotional resonance of the release. Frequently switching from euphoric to anxious, each track is a testament to his incredible attention to detail. Simply put, this is music for those who hate to be labelled.

DREF033 sees the return of two long time label friends and contributors, the Scottish Deepbass and the Italian Ness. Despite the fact that both of them are prolific enough solo acts as it is, once in a while they combine forces and deliver a co-produced masterpiece, to which the Outer Limits EP is no exception.
However, make no mistake: the fact they have found their signature sound, does not mean they aren't constantly reinventing themselves. For this occasion, the two have made sporadical use of euphorical synth sounds, even gently alluding to trance at some point. Apart from that, they have adequately built their ever-evolving soundscapes upon subtly processed percussion.
A welcome addition to the two original tracks presents itself in the form of the talented producer Shlomo. The Frenchman has given his version of Outer Limits a powerful breakbeat foundation, making this EP into more of what it already was: a match made in heaven.

DJ Bone is Differ-Ent.
But then again, he always has been. A pioneer DJ and producer hailing from Detroit, whose technical skills are perhaps only equalled by the upper echelons of the city's most advanced techno trailblazers, he's nonetheless forged a path only of his own. Eschewing commercial expectations, scene pressures and anything other than his own exquisite taste, Bone has earned a vital, dedicated audience while remaining comfortably and individually underground.
Despite his stellar reputation, Bone's recent studio activities have steered him towards a new, altogether more personal direction. In late 2015, Differ-Ent's arrival on Don't Be Afraid with the 'Differ-Ent(Hrall)' EP paved the way for its follow-up, 'M.O.M.:' both were forceful slabs of psychedelic outsider techno, with the latter taking on a tangible emotional resonance as it honoured the memory of Bone's late mother. 'M.O.M.' quickly became one of the label's best celebrated and widely played releases. Bone, typically self-sufficient and known to turn down remixes for huge clubbing brands, was impressed by the Bristol label's honesty and persistence. As he continued to rock parties internationally, Bone set to work on an LP embracing his deeper, darker and more cerebral side.
Not that 'It's Good To Be Differ-Ent has found Bone veering away from the dancefloor. "It's like, the natural vibe for me is always going to be funky", admits Bone. "It's going to swing, it's going to have that element of soul. But the Differ-Ent vibe is almost angrier. Determined, perhaps is a better word. I would typically just go to the studio when I had an idea. To the point where I say, 'OK, I'm going to do something, I'm going to make it happen.' But the process for Differ-Ent...it's kinda methodical. It's borderline predictable. But the thing that makes it Different is that it could go any which way at any given time. And it can be harder edged usually, or it can go in a soundtrack direction."
Film plays a significant influence on the landscape of Differ-Ent, with the record's more melodic flourishes sometimes designed to evoke the doubtlessly imaginative chase sequences swimming around Bone's mind. If Bone's usual movements are 'Do The Right Thing', his Spike Lee joint, then in his own words, 'It's Good To Be Differ-Ent' is his tribute to Paul Verhoven's 'RoboCop'.
"The only way I think the album evolved differently was the electro stuff", recalls Bone. "I was excited about that. Because that was a different type of electro as well. It wasn't a normal, 80s funk kinda electro. It completely separates you. It's still for the dancefloor, but it's almost as if it shakes you to dance, rather than coaxes you."
'It's Good To Be Differ-Ent' certainly feels powerful, mastering a mix of Drexicyan tones and drums that align more with a newer wave of house and techno experimentalists. Many of these, from Hodge to Ø/Phase, have been an influence on Differ-Ent, all sharing what Bone describes as a unique affinity with "creepy shit." It's his thunderous, occasionally paranoid but overwhelmingly positive contribution to a forward thinking European scene he has come to relate to on a par with his native Detroit.
Much of ''It's Good To Be Differ-Ent' has been inspired by Bone's frustration. Frustration with the modern political system as well as the creative conservatism of his own scene. In the studio, he has created a unique riposte. But the commercial pressure Bone has always avoided is only growing stronger. Is it harder than ever to be truly different
"It's harder for the majority of people", observes Bone. "For me, it's really easy. I've been preparing myself for this for years."

While the saying goes that writing about music is like dancing about architecture, this seems to be rather unfitting when it comes to artistic works like ELECTRIC INDIGO's release for the next installment on SCR-DARK SERIES, the techno-leaning sub-label of Berlin's SUICIDE CIRCUS club enterprise of over 20 years of existence.
Depending from which angle you look at it, her forthcoming record is either a legit piece of artistic expression well worthy of being written about, due to her incorporation of digital bits, pieces and sound bites, ranging from fragments of granular sound synthesis to chopped-up voice recordings or spectral processings - while at the same time, it's simply two beautiful pieces of reduced, smart and abstract club music to listen and dance to, each accompanied by a hefty remix from a couple of hand-picked fellows in the likes of Bill Youngman and Dadub. Berlin's notorious techno stalwart BILL YOUNGMAN contributes a distinct interpretation with his slightly broken peak-time banger of a take on 'Cinq', wilst DADUB, the duo made up of two of the core artists (and mastering wizards) of the well-renowned Stroboscopic Artefacts-imprint, reconstruct the original 'Zero' to a fiercely pumping, blacker-than-black monster.
Yes, we are indeed very excited about this release, obviously, and we're really looking forward to seeing it hit the stores soon, as it turned out to be a rare case of heartfelt cooperation between like-minded souls and, first and foremost, friends, who engaged in a DIY effort to then have it culminate in an adventurous record - a kind of approach that, as another saying goes, was once referred to as True Spirit.

Limited to 250 worldwide, with the first 100 including full black and white cover art.
Following up the fantastic summer re-release of Upsetting Keys Empathy' EP, Path Records follows with its first new catalogue number since 2006. Path 008 marks the return of artist Fate 258, whose 1999 Why 2k' Path 001 EP has been a hotly sought after item on Discogs.
The three-track EP contains two exciting new mixes of cult classic techno track The Path'. The a-side version Path to Hell' is the harder of the pair, a dark edgy journey into the unknown with shuffling 808 rhythms providing much of the melody. Path to Heaven' slows the groove down and adds warm Juno pads throughout the mix for a very deep Detroit flavored techno style. On the final track Heaven or Hell' sort of a broken beat downtempo piece, sparse vocals and Bladerunner samples mix to complete the dystopian concept. These mixes of The Path' are considered pre-mixes, as they were completed in 1998 before the original release of Path 001. Fate 258 is a project from Brooklyn producer Reade Truth, known for his work over the last decades on labels such as Planet E, Sonic Groove, N-Syde, Wurst and Strictly Rhythm to name a few.

Spencer Parker returns on his own imprint this March with a four-track track release as Part Two of the Three Part 'Different Shapes And Sizes' series.
Following on from the raw and stripped back House jam aesthetic as seen in Part One, Parker kicks off this Techno release with 'Size Information' - a track with driving kicks, subtle atmospherics, and infectious panning percussion.
Next up is 'Shape Deviation', which hones in on a twisted 303 arpeggio and is saturated in white noise and backed up with entrancing drums, before 'Shape Fascination' goes into full drum machine workout mode with off kilter 808 claps fuelled by a hypnotic synth bass line.
'Size Devotion' rounds off the release with its raw and distorted kicks and simplistic yet effective mesmeric male vocal samples.

Tymoteus Cypla & Sebastian Pellowski are not like the average Polish youth slightly dumbed down by the Pan-European TV channel, Viva Zwei. They are probably the last producers daring to qualify their own music as 'TRANCE'. But for "THE SAME", this word 'Trance' is not a label stamped to a record. For them, the word means a journey in a limitless space and time frame, which brought them to get to meet, whereas they were living hundreds of kilometres from each other.
From their encounter came out a first EP entitled 'We are the Same' released by the very respected net label, Phatt Sounds. In 2010, one of their track 'Szarpiesz Minerwa' slipped into Agoria´s 'Balance' mixed compilation and a new relationship starts with the crew of InFiné (check their Podcast inspired by Gaspar Noé`s 'Enter the Void' on the InFiné website). A dark and cinematic atmosphere can characterize their Music. They build up their musical outputs with ready-to-rumble basslines, vicious synth-waves and explosive hi hats.
The Fungeez EP could not find any better shelter than InFiné : mutant and hors catégorie like most of the release of the label. Its four tracks are equally sick and euphoristic and display a sound power, which will set fire to any dancefloor.

Anatomia del cavallo', three tracks' EP, out on Danza Tribale, new label founded by Adiel, roman Dj and producer.
As a shaman lady, she guides us through her rite of passage into a mental sonic flow. The mingling of ancient tribal dances and nowdays techno.A humans' story about their origins. The archetype's narration, on how space and time feed the body, a true rite of passage where this three tracks represent the three levels' rite: separation, transition and incorporation.Listen! Anatomia del cavallo'. The vocal followed by a cyclic bass, rests on atmospheric textures. Wood and rims wake us up. Drum kick 909 and tom. Basslines create hypnotic patterns. Drop down that suspend the atmosphere getting us back on earth through minimal rhythmics that accentuate ancestral grooves.Il cavallo', a liminal space, where we get through a symbolic passage made of 808 and 909 's classic sounds, synths that oscillate from background to foreground, leading to upbeat percussions. The rhythmic pause pushes out of the dark and synths open up creating sensual atmospheric levels.Six minutes and thirty-five seconds of pure mentalism reflects the hyperuranium.Tecniche', the third phase, the incorporation one, with an elegant and clear sound, where percussions constantly change creating polyphonic interweaves. The kick is straight, hard, rhythmic, throbbing. Rims bang, dissolving in a deep loop and atmospheric levels. A vocal spectrum gets to life and slowly deep into our mind leaving the place to magnetic drums.A combination of ancestral sounds and techno.Ethnicism melted to the more drastic digital modernism.

Jericho One is kicking off 2017 with this new 12" from artist Ken Finger, a collaboration between Mickey Pearce (Swamp 81) and Brackles. It features four tracks and again marks out this Creme Organization off shoot as a no-nonsense house label that is full of surprises. Thanks For Those is a stop start brew of echoing cowbells, pitched up vocals and warped synths that are tied to a busted beat. It sounds like little else and is sure to kick start any party. Bury the Beds is a harder affair, with blasted drums and sci-fi electronics, whirring machine sounds and uncontrolled snares and hits all slapping you about the face. On the flip, Tongues Under A Hammer slows the tempo. Scattered claps, alien lifeforms and sub heavy bass all do a slow and unpredictable dance and you will do the same. Last of all, From Telly to Belly plays with muffled vocals, drilling bass screws and metallic hits and sounds like an underground trap tune reimagined for freaky dance floors. This is a hard to categorise EP that is full of fascinating twists and turns.

Deus Record's TV Baby remix package drops six varying yet cohesive reworking of the New York duo. To shed new light on three of the band's tracks, the label has craftily pieced together an international cast of electronic artists capable of reinterpreting the psychedelic and free jazz influences of the project for the dance floor. The resultant reworks give the tracks solid functionality while staying faithful to the
band's influences and standing firmly within the label's ethos.
On first drop Secret Circuit's penchant for melodic, euphoric sounds meets Free Tech head on, the LA producer's trippy, driving remix focuses on fine-tuning and blending the more musical elements and vocals, with kaleidoscopic results.
Former band mate and Rub n Tug's very own Tom of England turns the package on its head and drops a mechanical, Balearic meets Punk take on Wild Joy. Turning things off the beaten dance floor trail, the mix is as blissful as it is claustrophobic.
Trus'me is an artist who knows a thing or two about the collaborative aspect of the remix, he is also a man whose continually evolving creative process make his remixes so unpredictable and vital. Currently exploring spaced out dance floor dynamics, the experienced Manchester producer puts a Detroit spin on Klerin Priest, turning in a slice of broken electro funk with a distinct UK flavour.London-based Ivan Smagghe has long been a proponent of industrial sleaze and brings his vast experience to bear on his chugging, restrained, 'Crossed' remix of Klerin Priest. The Frenchman's 'Ghetto' mix is even more reduced and touches on the now resurgent minimal sound.
With musical cycles once again aligning towards a more stripped back, tripped out approach, both mixes tap into the essence of Smagghe's undeniable, electro-leaning influence on the darker dance floors of today. All four producers twisted, experimental and driving effort's ensure that all of TV Baby's musical ethos is explored across six varied and divergent tracks.

* Haunter Records' 2017 kicks off with two new displays of aural expansion by longtime members of the Milan-based crew. Twin singles from Weightausend and Petit Singe that also mark the label's first ventures into 7" format. Through heavy use of darkened breakbeats and angular dynamics, each of the two producers sets out to have their unique sonic approach ring on throughout the sprawl.
Matthias Girardi AKA Weightausend keeps on compiling his private neuroses in a process that seems to achieve catharsis through gloomy analysis and maniacal surgical dissection. Hammering down on his dubwise tendencies and his love for the dark side of jungle, he gives out his most club-oriented work to date, channeling two new bassy rollercoasters, including a new version of "Green Death".

Substrato Records features techno veteran Edit Select on its most recent release, Points Of Contact. The EP is in line with Substrato's signature sound - stripped down hypnotic percussion with deep ties to techno's past. At the EP's outset, Edit Select layers straightforward loops into complex textures, weaving careening synth lines through skittering hi hats and driving kicks. Faction 1.1 brings the composition to a subdued close with warm, thrumming percussion that evokes a propulsive ethereality. At its fourth release, Substrato has firmly established itself as a techno label adept at driving techno with psychedelic, shamanistic impulses.

Denver based GILA's background as a jazz drummer as well as his involvement as one-half of hip hop duo Gorgeous Children has helped him approach electronic music from a different angle. 'I'm stylistically indebted to hip hop and I think it's at the core of all my songs, but I'm equally interested in pulling inspiration from industrial sounds and nature' he explains. 'When I set out to make a song, I let the textures and rhythms dictate what it should become, rather than pursuing a specific genre or style.' Taking inspiration from such a diverse range of places then has helped shape GILA's music in to something denser, darker and otherworldly.

After 10 succesful years on the scene and almost 2 years in with the ThanQ Music label, Marina Karamarko is putting first, long - awaited ThanQ Vinyl release on the market.
In this expertly curated record, containg two tracks from Marina Karamarko and two remixes, she once again proves her quality and her personal need for unique sound in a electronic music world. First Karamarko's track Come closer blends deep, hypnotic sound with a heavy bass, including dark, meancing vocals to narrate her music style in the underground music scene. The second track Can't get you is a fresh sounding product from Marina Karamarko, spiced up with tender moments, but it's not lacking in the weight and it's like other, underground dancefloor-friendly.
On the remix duties we have strong individuals and amazing artists, Marwan Sabb (SCI-TEC, Insomnia Rec.) and Reelow (Solid Grooves, Moan). Marwan's interpretation is going in the dub techno direction, with strong hooks and dark beats, while Reelow goes in his recognisable jazzy tech grooves which are perfect to get the party in the right mood!
The remixes add a big flare to the whole collection, more than suitablle for the first THANQ Vinyl release.
The whole production is peculiar, dynamic and sharp.

Chicago DJ and producer Olin follows up the debut release on his new record label, Boundary Movement, with TPI featuring four diverse cuts. Up-tempo electro, moody minimalism, old-school melodies, and chugging deep house all woven seamlessly.
The A side begins with TPI,' an exercise in minimalism and micro-detail. Unmistakably Olin's own, insistent synth stabs keep time while needlepoint percussion keeps the ear guessing. If you thought Olin's palette was limited to techno and house, A2 Corsaren' will prove you wrong — this is pitch-perfect electro in a classic style, a slow-building interplay of sci-fi synthesizers wrapped around icy cool call-and-response kicks and handclaps.
B1 Thanks Rob' is BOM02's most straightforward cut — and one of its best. Building momentum slowly across its eight-minute runtime, Thanks Rob' impresses as the larger-than-life bass swell hits. The dancefloor will be rapt - proceed carefully. B2 Hyssop,' feeling like it comes from a similar vintage as Corsaren,' might have been called ambient techno' decades ago, but its upwardly mobile percussion makes it feel as at home in a club as it does in the chill-out room. It's just the thing to close out this broad-spectrum record.

Last we heard of Australian three-piece PVT, they were exploring the outer reaches of electronic rock with their 2010 album Church With No Magic. The Australian trio have made a distinguished career out of making genrebending guitar music, carving themselves a reputation as sonic innovators, and in 2008 becoming the first band from their homeland to sign to iconic UK label Warp. All of which makes their new album Homosapien — their fourth studio album and Felte debut — a startling listening.
"Vertigo" is a standout track from said album. The initial synth line appears in slow-mo and is then smoothed out with a bassline which pulls you in from the beginning and never lets go. Techno producer Luke Abbott takes a hold of this synth sound and takes these ideas and stretches them out with great patience over several minutes without it ever losing its momentum or focus. Beat
constructionist Lukid creates a tumbling beat and pitches up the vocals while Hype Williams re-imagine the track entirely, casting it as the backdrop to a new set of vocals and movie sample snippets. Van Vizintin creates a moody, electronic recreation of the original.

Advanced deep driving techno from Amsterdam! JP Enfant's LET Recordings continues to slowly but surely build a fine reputation, and in fact his last EP on the label featured a track, 'Sirens', which got used to great effect by Daniel Avery on his acclaimed DJ Kicks mix. Now a fourth interesting EP on LET Recordings comes from Shoal, who makes his first out on vinyl after a digital release on Planet Rhythm in October. Utrecht based Shoal aims to balance his techno sounds somewhere between rhythmic hypnosis and detailed soundscaping. He urges listeners to twitch out of their comfort zone and to really engage with his music. That is made all the more easy given that it is such inventive stuff. A powerful EP from this emerging new artist.

Inaugurating 2016 with Lee Holman's debut 'One Man Army' on Raw Waxes, the Italian imprint welcomes the new year with a series of remixes of the Irish producer's release of last May, which feature four benchmarks of contemporary techno: Cassegrain, Distant Echoes, Haiku and Kimyon. The record is out on 12' vinyl format. It comes on black vinyl with an additional hand numbered paper insert realized by German illustrator Benedikt Rugar, who also designed the illustrations of Lee Holman's 'One Man Army'; the drawing is a continuation of that release' visual abstract porn concept.

The show has become a unique testing ground for new artists and productions and many of todays highly rated 'new school' producers benefited from early support on the show.
With a network of talent to draw from, it seemed a logical step to start a record label and this second release contains 4 tracks which have been specially selected by Red Rack'em to represent what he feels is the cream of todays new talent.

Legendary techno rebel Alex Cortex joins TRUST for an EP that wears his nonconformist creed proudly on its sleeve. 'We Run Your Life' takes center stage here, a massive electro banger and electronic warfare anthem for a dystopian future, its programmatic vocals striking a fitting resemblance to UR's most political output. Bouncy beat experiment 'Foam Rubber Landscaping' and dizzily spiralling 'Memory Overload' complete this triptych of techno rebellion. First release in TRUST's new 'Covert Systems' series, limited quantity.

Continuing a sublime run of form for the label, the fourth outing on the Lopasura imprint, is yet another classy trio of heady, analogue machine laden masterpieces. Opening up with Out of the Fog', the familiar acidic arpeggio and crisp hits we've grown to love from Benedikt Frey, dance unwittingly along before being opened up by long, cinematic pads drenching the track with an emotion and grandeur so synonymous with his music.
Complimenting the A side, the looming intent 'Wolves' adopts from the off evolves quickly into a driving, hypnotic and beautifully crafted piece that's a true heads down, eyes-shut techno battle weapon.
Rounding off the EP on the B side is the exceptional 'Lights'. An unsettling, caliginous whir of industrial drones balances the tribal, percussive elements almost depicting a lost ship crashing over the swells of the ocean as it clings on to futile hope of finding the lighthouse. It meanders and threatens before an incredible synth hook ebbs in and takes over momentarily, before calmly simmering as the storm passes. Never before has Love Pain Sunshine and Rain been more perfectly encompassed.

After providing a rugged track for the RSN002 compilation earlier this year, Divided returns to the Resin label and expands on the delicately textured sounds he has become known for, this time with a full four tracker of diamond edged cuts.
This new release, entitled 'Moment (Historical)', blends together elements of UK hardcore and breakbeat into the techno continuum to create a fully fledged and diverse EP that showcases Divided's own unique interpretation of dance music. Opener 'Eigen' kicks things off with sheer brute force, building and swelling until breaking point, whilst 'Eventide' breaks from the 4/4 structure to create a club-track that balances echoing percussion between the cracks of broken beats. On the flip side, 'Dawn' draws upon aspects of dub techno to create a trance inducing rhythm whilst harrowing bells chime the listener into a lull. 'First Light' closes off the EP with a track that subtly builds to a frenzy that is cut through with perfectly precise percussion.

The return of the highly influential and classic tracks by Thomas P. Heckmann's infamous
Drax project, that brought you such huge anthems like Amphetamine, Phosphene, Section 2 and Parnophelia,
which are collected on this one 2-coloured Vinyl 12inch for the first time !
The two predecessors to Amphetamine were Section 2 on the first ever Techno 7inch in 1993, followed some time
later by the Carl Cox beloved anthem Phosphene on the night glowing 10" Drax Three.
This finally led to one of the most influential and famous Techno tracks named Amphetamine, which is presented here
in a completely different and unreleased version (for the original please check AFUltd.31).
The more mellow and beautiful vibe of Parnophelia rounds up a true collectors Vinyl package !

The Essentials of Techno! It's been twelve years since the first and last Mike Parker album called 'Dispatches". 12 years later, Prologue is very excited to host the second album from Mike and this time it's all about techno performed as a kind of ritual. Let us open the secrets of Mike Parker's 'Lustrations". The title has multiple meanings and stands also for clarity. Clarity is in general the attitude of Mike's tracks. He has the massive aptitude to bring techno back to the essentials. Mike's music has clarity in sound structures, bass lines, drums and arrangements. Everything is lead by puristic sound engineering and exactly this kind of unique and authentic Techno can be discovered on 'Lustrations". 12 hypnotic driven tracks designed to be timeless, produced to be played in techno temples in order to set the audience in hypnotism and to clear the mind.

One half of Scottish duo Clouds, Perth Drug Legend tear off a solo EP of rugged, apocalyptic bloke-techno. Stunners, all of them. Freak genius at work.
What more can be said about Clouds, young prodigies who have put out as much innovative techno in the past few years than anyone. The story takes a twist with a wealth of material being released by PDL, hot off a remix of Tiga's Bugatti and releases on Resin and Westend Communications. The sound is reminiscent of Ghost Systems Rave, but there's the feeling that things have gotten even more refined, something that smacks of a real subcultural movement.
Opener Balquhidder Ruins is a stomping gate-crasher, the tempo pulled back just enough to feel the grit of industrial funk, everything restrained to it's bare essentials. Monzievaird swings heavily around a few twinkling bleeps, sparse, chunky kicks that thunder through the greased hats. Pushing things even more into the dark corners with overdriven, haunting resonance is Clackmannanshire Crusaderz, which sounds like the soundtrack to being blacked out on the ground in a Berghain tunnel. Thisistullohnottibetpal adds a mystical, multi culti dimension with some mountain flute inexplicably soaring through the air before a bell breakdown zens things into a forceful yet tranquil climax.
If that madness weren't enough, there's a digital bonus track which is an absolute bomb if you're into lower tempos and hip hop inflected bangers.
Stunners, all of them. Freak genius at work.

Already featuring on two earlier PRRUKBLK samplers and on the digital imprint, it was just a matter of time for his 12" solo-debut to come; Von Grall presents his "No Contact EP" on the Planet Rhythm Black imprint. The Paris-based producer has been pushing forward his characteristic deep & atmospheric sound over the past two years and has proven to be one of the strong upcoming forces of the label. Next to the great Claudio PRC remix on the A-side, the release features three original tracks ranging from the dancefloor-driven 'Quadratic' to the trippy 'No Contact' and even deeper into dark atmospheric sounds on 'Molecular Collison' - making this EP another strong addition to the PRRUKBLK catalog!

Billy Nasty's Electrix Records launches its 2016 schedule by welcoming back the always impressive, Carl Finlow.
Carl is one of dance music's leading lights and a multi-talented producer across a range of genres, with releases stretching back to the early 90s. Well known for the 2020 Vision label he launched with Ralph Lawson, his solo work however has often taken an Electro route with releases under various guises like Random Factor, Black Labs, Voice Stealer, Silicon Scally and Scarletron (with Daz Quayle) on labels including Warp, Fuel, Playhouse, Paper, Trope, Sony, Klang, Arista, Soma, SCSI, Pagan, Minifunk, Seventh Sign and Satamile.
It's been almost 3 years since Carl appeared on Electrix. His 'Boot Loop EP' became the label's second release after its re-launch in 2013. But it's definitely been worth the wait. His 'Electricology 4 EP' once again shows why he's a master of the genre.
From the tough and funked-up 'Lateral Thoughts', speckled and melodic 'Hyperloop', squelching, bassy 'Suspect Reanimation' and sinister, beat-driven 'Latext', right through to the playful 'Atomic Level' (a bonus track for the digital release), the EP shines, with a stamp of high quality running though its core.

Following the earth-shifting Faetch 1, which was played by practically every techno dj worth their salt, Tibetan entity Faetch returns for the next part in the ongoing saga. Sturdy, rolling drums and fiery vocal bursts on 'Jeidge' signal early chaos on the a-side, moving onto the pure techno funk of 'Wershif' - a definite ear wiggler if ever we heard one. On the b-side 'Faecel' is tense, more heads-down fare, not at all dissimilar to Cari Lekebusch's classic early Drumcode material. Closing the EP is 'Cargoe', where jittery broken rhythms ricochet off rave stabs and echoed vocals & sound FX. Another crucial Faetch four-tracker here, for fans of inventive dancefloor techno.

Fresh off of a pair of well-received EPs on his recently-launched Manhigh imprint, Berlin's highly respected techno auteur Henning Baer makes his first appearance on Nonplus with 4 excellently crafted, saturated machine techno tracks on The Idea of Instinct. Following on feelings suggested in the title, the EP opens with a pair of more contemplative pieces: the title track's spare arrangement puts mechanical rhythmic drive behind its exploration of dusky electronic atmospheres, while the feeling of 'DNA' is both brighter and slightly pacier, its hypnosis deriving from the pads and synthesizer sequences that circle the drums. 'CCC II' takes a darker approach to a similar idea, this time with the suggestion of polyrhythms in the distant and heavily-treated percussive elements circling in the background behind uneasy ambience. It builds to the closer 'Spiritual Quest', where overlaid rhythms in 3 and 4 are not easily reducible and create the tension at the track's centre driving it to its conclusion.
Pig&Dan are once again taking us on a whole different journey.
Universal love has all the the makings for a classic, reminiscent of some of Pig&Dan's oldschool eclectic anthems, however with a super modern twist. It's deep haunting undertone slowly builds up and wraps you up in an intimate inviting warmth of analog. Finally the breakdown ads that smile upon your face that Pig&Dan are so well known for, climaxing with an uplifting explosion of epic-ness.
Lizard King takes another techno turn all together. Starting with the duos signature subsonic goodness you sense what's about to come as the epic lead sound start to grow crescendoing slowly. It's extremely positive hands in the air essence will take you in as it hits it's sonic orgasm.
Bambola equals euphoria!! A very hypnotic synth sucks you in right from the word go. Vocals, beats and that bass line help to build you up but in a different fashion. This track isn't about big build ups however it still takes you where you need to go. Melodic parts dance with one another and create something that's unexplainable yet stunningly beautiful.

It's been a good fifteen years now since Vitalic (aka Pascal Arbez-Nicolas) took it upon himself to redefine techno using his native French sensibility, mixing energy and melody to forge his own recognisable style. Many of those tunes, like "Poney", "La Rock 01", "My Friend Dario" and "You Prefer Cocaine" went on to become club classics, blurring the boundaries between techno, disco, rock and pop, and profoundly inspiring and stimulating a scene that had been struggling since the end of the 'French touch' to find something a little more refreshing than filtered disco house. For "Voyager", his fourth studio album composed over the course of two years and the one he considers his most 'disco' ever, Vitalic remembers initially wanting to make something that could barely be danced to, inspired by the electronic music of the 1970s. However, that angle of attack was rapidly diverted. "I changed my mind during production and added beats," he explains. "Voyager" thus became a record that has forgotten nothing of the cosmic disco heritage of the 1980s, dominated by deeply energetic, orgasmic synthesisers with influences from pioneers of the genre like Moroder, Cerrone, Patrick Cowley, Lime, Spacer, Carpenter and Gino Soccio.

'AUS Music ready a double vinyl remix package from Cassy's debut album,'Donna' which came out in June 2016. With 'Donna' we hear a more personal side of Cassy. Co-produced by her soul brother' King Britt, Cassy reconnects with her vocal talentwriting lyrics and singing on all tracks but one, making the album an intimate journey from the soul. Cassy has en-listed some of her most respected peers, all of whom have put their own stamp on the original tracks. This makes the remix package the perfect contrast to the album, and also proves that Cassy's original music has the seal of approval from some of the finest house and techno heavyweights on the circuit today. Marcel Dettmann adds an endearing edge to move 'Move', whilst Ron Bacardi picks up an undeniable pace on 'All I do'. 'Feel' is taken on a cosmic journey with Onsulade's Yoruba, and Radio Slave gives 'Keep Trying' the remix treatment twice. Finally 'Keep Trying' is reworked on by friend & collaborator, D'Julz, Julz takes takes things down a subtle, dubbier route with his edit, keeping Cassy's vocals a staple throughout'

Danny Daze is back on Ellum with another killer single, 'Flange'. A monster of an EP that is perfect for Summer Madness! The A Side feature the original version of 'Flange', an unadulterated slice of storming techno complete with dissident car engines screaming in and out of the mix, heady stuff. On the flip and Danny delivers a sparse jacking dub version of 'Flange'. Finally the EP is rounded off with the effervescent transcendentalness of Ritmo, another great release from Ellum!
Resident of Miami, Danny has been going from strength to strength, with previous releases on Nervous, Hot Creations, Ellum, and his recent single on Jimmy Edgars' Ultramajic label and Pet Recordings, Danny is at the top of his game. Berlin's infamous Ellen Allien proudly delivers her 7th solo LP, the superlative 'Nost'. Across nine seminal tracks, Ellen Allien demonstrates why she is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of Berlin's techno scene. A visionary who has cultivated a sound which continues to evolve and mutate into new areas, moving smoothly between the classic analogue squelches of acid to anarchic splendour and mesmerising, celestial soundscapes. 'Nost' is the work of an artist who has found herself, yet still pushes herself to go beyond her comfort zone, still creating, still learning and still yearning for more. This is Ellen Allien, this is Berlin and this is 'Nost'.

During the last three years a new name has been making waves at Ostgut Ton and Berghain: Berlin born, raised and based producer Kobosil made his debut with a remix of Barker & Baumecker's Silo' (Ostgut Ton, 2013), completely unknown at the time, he has quickly earned his stripes as a DJ on the club's main floor, eventually becoming a resident at Berghain. Following up on five subsequent 12" releases and Kobosil's first live sets, his debut album sees him covering yet new ground in the form of a full length release. Titled We Grow, You Decline the eleven new pieces dare you to readjust your perception of Kobosil's previous releases and invite you to listen carefully - in a more quiet environment than the usual dancefloor setting. We Grow, You Decline marks a swerve from club-contextual tracks towards a more musical, multilayered song format, but it's worth mentioning that the album is not a reinvention of Kobosil's past production efforts. There have always been distinct hints of his fondness for more abstract, non-dancefloor rhythms, discomforting sounds and mindful listening in his young discography - most notably Plant 5', Less' (RK3, 2013), Herschel' (Unterton 05, 2013), There' (MDR 10, 2014), Head' (RK1, 2014) and most recently Athtar' (O-TON 91, 2015).
With his debut album Kobosil delves even deeper into Ambient and Industrial soundscapes. Drawing influences from Musique Concrète via Electronic Body Music towards present-day Techno, the tracks combine gritty textures with melodic hints and contrasting bleak off-beat rhythms with Drone passages. This album doesn't cater for certain expectations and the opening title Telling The Truth' is already leading astray, its steadily increasing synth pulse and constant crackle don't culminate in a maximalist floor pleaser but segue into the field-recording-led Dub Techno cut To See Land' and the hissing melancholy of Reflection'.
"The Exploring Mountain' follows this vibe by asynchronously intertwining a hollow kick drum with organic percussion and distant bells. This piece serves as the album's first predetermined breaking point. Its final kicks anticipate Kobosil shifting his focus towards a more Techno led middle section in form of the hypnotic Aim For Target' with its slow but steady build-up and subtle, swirling melody.
Meandering, brittle harmonies first introduced to the Kobosil sound on his recent 91 EP ( Avernian', Ostgut Ton, 2015) also find their way into The Living Ritual', topped with his trademark kick drum, alienated percussion and a beguiling synth layer towards the end both tracks would suit Berghain's main room perfectly, but in the album's context they simply form one of many layers.
We Grow, You Decline adds new aesthetics to the Berliner's production style by conveying a certain darkness and distance while keeping some easy and gentle touch. Underneath the delicate, crackling surface of songs such as When I Speak' and the aforementioned To See Land' there are distant voices to be heard, while they're more prominently featured in the throbbing, atmospheric Eihwaz' and the robotic pulse of You Answered With Love', the human element is kept restrained and unfathomable inside some tense moods. With "They Looked On" Kobosil unchains the listener during the overright inute-spanning, culminating last track and the hovering suspense that is prevalent throughout the album is dispersed into a warm, hazy horizon.
We Grow, You Decline is a bold statement from Kobosil's growing musical repertoire and a reflection of his multi-faceted artistic development by expressing his own artistic voice without ingratiation in the form of conformity. Music, bright like a smile and dark as the soul.

Written & produced by Roboknob. Mixed by Stefan Goldmann. Mastered by Rashad Becker. Info: We've said it before: techno's vanguard can be found in the East right now. Sofia's quirky techno underground is densifying. Evolving around the Diviat Slon parties (residents: StefaK & Stefan Goldmann), the Beton nights, the indoors offspins of Artmospheric festival and unannounced appearances of KiNK under his Cyrillic guise, raw and rave-infused techno is increasingly defining the city's sound of the small hours. Roboknob are part of this movement, and this is their debut EP. A live hardware duo, Yasen and Stanislav drop rugged, noisy machine jams around the Bulgarian capital and have been regulars at Artmospheric. The EP's tracks have been distilled from their live repertoire and mixed by Stefan Goldmann into sharply defined form with added bite. 'Dexydi' is Greek for acid - the corrosive liquid, not the music. Accordingly, its heavy-handed single-note bass attack will cut through anything. 'Spellbind' is more bouncy with frantic upward movements, distorted percussive fallout and a seasick bass foundation. 'Liulka' handles two layers of time rubbing off of each other: quirky and pushing high in the sky, against the bass drum mechanics down low. A suitable acoustic symbol for Sofia's state of techno.
The constantly evolving Ellum Audio imprint welcomes German techno duo Switchbox and the irresistibly groovy 'Pirates Poetry' to the label. Label head Maceo Plex and wonder boy Danny Daze join forces as Jupiter Jazz to deliver a stellar remix, with a Switchbox remix of dreamAwaken's '8 Bit In A Bit' to round off.
The original 'Pirates Poetry' ticks all the boxes of an Ellum Audio classic, perfect for the big room at peak time with full fat squelchy basslines, seductive grooves and trippy FX. The sensual yet hypnotic vocal from NAtz sits seamlessly within the track to add to that all-important dancefloor trip.

Francesca Lombardo has cultivated a sound of her own, one that represents her multi-disciplinary musical background and transcends the dancefloor with ease. Creating emotional narratives via wistful soundscapes, stirring melodies, hypnotic rhythms and her own mesmerising voice distinguishes her from the crowd.
This Italian-born, classically trained musician carved out her own path in electronic music, criss- crossing the globe as a DJ and live performer, whilst building up a formidable back-catalogue of music.
Relentlessly pushing boundaries, her live set which incorporates a group of instrumentalists to compose and conduct intricate productions, as well as her knack as a DJ to combine captivating rhythms and melodies with dramatic stories, are clear examples of this, furthered still by her striking vocals that wash over crowds with waves of emotion.
2012 saw Francesca's first release of many on Crosstown Rebels. Now in 2016, a new phase of her career begins, as she prepares to unveil her debut album, a collection of songs that truly represent the essence of what she's all about, an LP that is forward-thinking, powerful and made from the heart. Live instrumentalists will also feature on this album, merging the world of electronic music with Francesca's classical upbringing, set to uplift and engage people from all walks of life. The outcome is a combination of grand and orchestral compositions, together with subtle, nuanced numbers.
There's no doubt that Francesca's passion and drive to keep innovating in music is unsurpassed and serves as the fuel to keep her inspired, relevant and soundtracking the very best moments of our lives for years to come.
FRANCESCA LOMBARDO RETURNS TO HER ECHOE IMPRINT MID JULY WITH THE 'REMEMBRANCE' EP, COMPRISING TWO ORIGINAL COMPOSITIONS FROM THE ITALIAN ARTIST.
''Echoe's founder Francesca Lombardo graces the label with its latest release, an EP entitled 'Remembrance', which is shrouded in mystique and simmering energy. Evoking images of sand swept dancers and a kaleidoscope of LED lights, this two-track EP draws on the pervasive energy of Burning Man, and merges it with Francesca's own cosmic life-force to deliver a very special pairing of tracks.
The title track 'Remembrance' has a spirited melody at its core, which is mirrored by the bass line. It's all propelled along by sturdy, stomping drums and topped off with a layer of wistful pads. Francesca keeps it simple and hypnotic with this little beauty, a treat for anyone who likes it deep.
On the flipside, we're submerged even deeper with the sombre 'Never Too Far'. A solemn atmosphere is present from the very start, with ominous tension building throughout the intro. As the track is unleashed, Francesca's voice is utilised, punctuating the initial breakdown...an assortment of eerie effects work in tandem with the trundling beats to create a captivating slice of moody technoid funk. Wait for the extended breakdown, too, absolute killer.''

Roberto Bosco has selected in recent months Kiny's music, to better prepare his first 12 ", consisting of four tracks, named 'Damaged
Memory'. The track Unknown (A1) leads off the dance of the release on Last Drop Records imprint. It's a proper exploration in an
unknown sonic territory to most of the people, and also a difficult element to make out for those who are novice to the visionary
component in the musical poetic of Kiny. The track starts with rounds of recurring sirens, almost deafening, framed by dark and
ghostly noises. Something not easily identifiable, ambiguous and unknown, as the title itself says, is perceptible in its sound. All this
helps to shape a bad presage that fades away into the mystery.
On the same side we find Pain Is Full (A2) that, according to the producer, was
born in a moment of pain which can be overcome only by fighting. In fact, the track is characterized by a more combative and insistent
tone, made up by the sound of snare and tom entering since the start and determining an atmosphere of contrast able to shake the
listener until the end. Shouts of encouragement suggest an initiation rite in which there is struggle for survival.
The titletrack, Damaged Memory (B1) has more quiet register with less ghostly vocals, perceived at times, unlike the previous tracks.
The sounds have a vanished effect, such as when you create a halo on a white sheet with the dust of a pencil just sharpened. You will
hear a sort of democracy among the sounds held together by the voice, a metaphor of a damaged memory, as the title itself recite, that
always makes the same process till the end: it commences by recalling but then forgets. Last, is the version of the producer Iori,
Damaged Memory (B2), on the same side. The Japanese remixer begins with a 4/4 architecture and well-articulated sounds, perfect for
warming up the dancefloor, a jolly track which contributes to the experimental tone, but invariably mystical of the entire release.

LCSERIES come's back with the fourth reference, dark and bright, Ascent. The A-side is covered at night. The darker side, the most ravenous, the more forceful, the wildest. Starring Oscar Mulero remix of the original track Ascent. Oscar's personal style makes to be all part of the sound composed through the original topic. In turn, Liss C. remind us, that their tracks are by and for the club.
Where once again the strength and analog sounds provide in harmony. The B side is covered by light. The melodic side, the most addictive, which takes you to the heaven. Starring Ben Gibson remix, creating a masterpiece that will be spined again and again, bells and stabs That Make you flight away. Here Liss C. demists the darkness to let the strength with the light in harmony, a stairway to heaven, from the dance floor.
LCSERIES04 is a limited edition just a few copies, with stickers and covers inside of the wax.

Pilocka Krach still means nothing but Pilocka Noise. She's the charming queen of Berlins Post Techno Underground and a true Recording & Perfoming artist. Her new release on her very own imprint Greatest Hits International is a conceptional framed double vinyl album and a journey diary of her last two years on tour around the globe, with Mexico, Detroit and her hometown roots in Berlin as fixpoints on her neverending agenda. Pilocka Krach is Sugar Cane & The Lost Amigos , her band and all at once. Her style is pure electro post rave simplicity, where each single sound is either raw sampling cuts or deep growling synthesis. Big basslines meet funky grooves and surprising hooks, grooving along with her own voice and a lot of other vocal features, whereever you go. Each 'n everthing gets the room it deserves and mingles alltogether to so much more, than just another stereo sum. Never heard an album that dry and that wet at the same time, with an overall fun and jam factor, that is truly touching. She took her original style more than just a few steps further and sharpened her skills in an impressive and real straight forward way of raw funkyness and true storytelling. You can't listen to it without moving. Pilocka is always surfing the right balance of how much, or better how less it needs, to keep it going, get down to the point of no return and beyond the miracle of repetition. Pure oldschool sounds never sounded that fresh and never, ever 'been told that way before.

D Edge's cultured off shoot OLGA is back with a new EP, Radiolarian, from German-Bulgarian Stefan Goldmann. Again it is a perfectly well sculpted EP with deep and sleek lines that get right into your head. The man behind it is the co-owner of the excellent Macro label and for more than fifteen years has released intricate house and techno sounds.
He is a deep thinker and master of hi-fidelity sound design and intricate grooves, so is perfect for this label. Radiolarian is first and is seven sublime minutes of tunnelling techno rippled with neon melodies and firefly like pads that burrow into your brain. It is a high tempo and high impact track but a subtle one that works its magic slowly. Building to a number of peaks, it then pulls back and the whole thing starts again. On the flip, Streams is freaky and unhinged, with weird synth sounds making for a trippy atmospheres as minimal beats roll below.
Perfectly detailed so as to work on both head as well as heel, it rounds out another fine EP.

Let's do it again!
After a short while, we are back on vinyl with Maltese DJ & producer Owen Offset and his Platen EP incl. 3 Remixes.
Techno is the answer - the name says it, so it's the flag of his events on the island where the worldwide network bear fruits and whiff of international flavour blows.
Owen's Platen suits perfectly to the labels musical philosophy and scores with raw cuts and analogue sounding peaktime synths.
Nearly synchronized with the date of his album release, Björn Torwellen from the Abstract artists delivers a remix in the manner of how is reaching the top of todays techno producers, with dark throbbing and industrial elements. Welcome on board!
Straight outta japanese underground scene, there's a third new name on our label: Shin Nishimura. His interpretation of Platen ends up in a highly dramatic boost of synth sounds.
The final treatment for this record is given by the label homies Sebastian Schroeder & Dominik Vaillant. Definitely worth putting on your dusty turntables!

Anna Reusch returns to the bouq.-family with he second release and two peaktime lifesavers for the summer. finally repressed
Betonkust and Palmbomen II are back with their second collaborative effort. This time on the Dutch Pinkman label. Six brand new tracks that seem a lot darker than their previous work. Somewhere between Belgian new beat from 1988 and the West Coast Sound Of Holland. A lo-fi nightmare that turns out to be reality. Pounding drums, paranoid acid patterns and angsty out of control synth choirs.

Bringing his hallmarked temperament to the 4/4 format with beguiling results, Weekend Circuit welcome Par Grindvik for his first full length EP on the label.
'Sole Survivor' performs an intense viewpoint of institutional rhythm. Pencil sharp, and strikingly imperfect tones delude the mind and mistreat the senses. A virtuoso of Par's distinctive sound, is eager and apparent as ever in WCR016.
'Breath' is rich in melancholic atmosphere, drones and feedback loops; a short yet multifaceted & hypnotic introduction leaving you no time to prepare for the incoming fervour of whats to come.
'Detached' is a perpetual motion of phenonmenal high energy - percussion avidly spliced together through a digital attention span. A strong, rumbling tower of unsettle that keeps coming back ever more bold and engaging.
Like a haunted soundtrack to A Space Odyssey, comes the simmering sound of 'Hail Fellow Well Met'. Conveying an otherworldliness, this 3 minute stance on electronic music moves with warped energy and glitch.
Wry fluidity grabs you by the feels and sustains an ominous tension over on the B side. 'Sever' is a maelstrom of consistent percussion, keeping a nervy uncertainty throughout, while 'Left Alone' wields an ever evolving siren of searching sound & noise.
Grindvik at his best, this cathartic and rich variation of sound fulfills Weekend Circuit's 16th release.

Suction Records presents the 2nd volume in a vinyl reissue/remix series by Toronto's Digital Poodle: 'Revision! Vol2 - Soul Crush' (suction037). Formed in 1986 by Heiki Sillaste, Digital Poodle began self-releasing experimental/EBM tapes in the late-80s, and by the early-'90s had several releases licensed to international labels like Hyperium, Cleopatra and Ninja Tune. 'Soul Crush' was an underground hit in EBM/alternative clubs around the world - particularly in Toronto, but also making an impact was Zoviet France's Virtual Mix... This hypnotic, 13-minute psychedelic techno trip, actually a live-in-studio jam between Digital Poodle and industrial music legends :zoviet*france:, became an unlikely rave staple, spun by DJs including Sven Väth. Both mixes are featured here, alongside a killer revision by none other than Adam X, one of this legendary techno producer's rare remix appearances. One of the few artists to credibly bridge the gap between EBM and techno, here Adam X delivers a pummelling dancefloor stormer, with Heiki's distorted vocals taking the Adam X sound even closer than usual to a pure, vintage-EBM sound.
For bonus EBM points, the 12' was (re-)mastered by industrial music legend Eric Van Wonterghem (Absolute Body Control, The Klinik, Monolith).

One of the beautiful things about DisplayFM is the orbital-serious-full-on-dance-floor music which they deliver. While beautiful and yet caustically intense, 'Off the Ground's reliable output, can feel awfully bombastic.
Each track reflects a finely accomplished sound composition with playful percussion, microscopic sonic details, perfectly measured to a powerful record. It's DisplayFM's usual techniques coupled with a melodic and emotive approach.
Dualism's Remix is personal and makes for a carefully crafted enhancement. The Song is moving versatile with emotion, texture and instrumentation. Unloose yourself and enjoy. 'Off the Ground' is a unique sound design with hypnotic grooves for impactful moments.

Second installment for Par Wax. This time the series continues with label manager George Paar delivering two original tracks destined for the underground techno arena. Molecula 5312 is a track in itself the source for this record. The number sequence used in the title of this track represent's the combination a cyclist uses to obtain a hard cadence. Thus this track delivers a cadence that is continuous and solid just like two pistons delivering force evenly. Damien Schneider's remix is a track that has an intricate groove that will make an instant bond with the listener and destroy any intelligent dance floor to pieces. Espectroscopia the second original track in this record flirts with the astros, the unknown space that is above us. Lastly m_Patcher's edit is a unique piece of music directed to the experimental minimal and somewhat the unexpected. Truly a track that flirts with strokes of sonic waves. The rest is for you to listen and judge with your own ears. Preview.

Washington based Jackson Ryland is a relatively new name on the house and techno scene. Primarily known as a music critic for the blog 'Peanut Butter & Jams', Ryland has now donned his production hat and is turning out some jams of his own.
The title track 'Crystal City' shows a real understanding of the techno aesthetic, combining cathedral like atmospherics with rough, raw and rugged drums. The Italian tape saturation master Steve Murphy (Lobster Theremin/Chiwax/Wilson) is employed to remix the title track. Murphy brings the track back in to the realms of house and sprinkles it with his analogue know how to turn in a sub rumbling interpretation.
On the flip side Ryland picks up where he left off, this time incorporating the soundscapes of early drum and bass in to 'JP's', whilst retaining the aggressive techno drums. The EP is rounded off with 'Up the Shelf' and almost speed-garage bassline and syncopated drum pattern make up the core of the track, whilst Ryland's eerie atmospheres cement the EPs overall sound.

Endosphora: Complexity and power in a frantic, polyrhythmic acid bass line, insistent tribal percussion and a thin layer of atmospheric menace with a foundation of wide earth-shaking beats.
Eksosporium: Epic in every sense, a floating, evolving synth leads the way through an immersive higher dimension, where time is measured in a steady, powerful rhythm, yet never passes.
Endosphora (Edit Select Remix): A balanced composite of power and restraint, threat and beauty, this rework weaves a hypnotised path through layers of dense atmosphere via the bubbling, deadly bass line.

Current World Ecclesiarchy is the second track and on the same level as The Tasker, while 33 Endocytosis is a bit more funky. A pounding remix of that last track is delivered by The Binary Mind.
