Mark Hawkins has had a career in music spanning the past 25 years.
It has encompassed torturing Goa trance ravers with esoteric techno records on Welsh hillsides in the mid '90s, hanging with UK house heads like the DiY and Smokescreen sound-systems around quarries, fields, clubs and pubs in the Midlands, after which he found his initial niche in producing punky techno around the turn of the millennium for labels like Djax Up Beats and Mosquito.
After an eight-year stint producing, releasing and playing out proper underground house music as Marquis Hawkes on labels like Houndstooth and Aus Music, making techno records for DVS1's Mistress imprint and Len Faki's Figure recordings as Juxta Position, alongside other work under the names Contactless and Falcon Black Ops for Unknown To The Unknown, Hawkins now embarks on the next phase of his career, which will gradually amalgamate his broad influences into one unique sound.

Gary Martin has a history of creating something new by combining a couple things old. This time around the concept is what happens if we mix techno with burlesque to make the cake and then add some Berlin for the icing. A sexy 4 tracker indeed with the titles “Berlisque”, “Black Boa”, ‘More Sex Magic Voodoo”, and “Berlisque Ryan Elliott Remix”. The title track features a stomping bassline with some real drums, classic Detroit style keyboard chord hits and gentle guitar sounds. Black Boa has kind of a glam style synth riff and cheers. uper Deception dives into the uncanny beauty within the everyday, drawing inspiration from M.C. Escher’s idea of “super deception”: the art of creating the impossible without illusion. Nelson of the East translates that concept into sound: deep, tactile basslines and intricate percussion twist familiar rhythms into hypnotic new forms. Textures and samples are lifted from their origins and reimagined, creating tracks that feel both ancient and futuristic, physical and dreamlike. The result is an electronic landscape where sound folds in on itself: a timeless, shape-shifting exploration of rhythm, resonance and perception.

Nelson of the East is a Berlin-based sound artist, producer and educator. He operates at the intersection of experimental composition and club culture, shaping his craft both as a music teacher and behind the scenes as an experienced ghost producer.

INDEX:Records alum vase (aka Downstairs People; games) and label-head Conna Haraway team up as ‘department’ to deliver a two-track mini-epic of sprawling brooding soundscapes and future-facing rhythms, via finely chiseled abstract outbursts and widescreen cinematic depth of field. (Additional live instrumentation comes courtesy of Glasgow-based staev, and INDEX:Rec affiliate MCRD supplies intuition suggestions.)

I first found out about Dope On Plastic from a remix they had done of a track by Ontology (who has released previously on this label) & then later found out more about them when they had been sending tunes to Pete Dev/Null, which I would hear him playing on our radio show on Jungletrain.

Soon after that, whilst touring North America, I'd meet Dope On Plastic in person whilst I was in New York, get to hang out with them and visit their home studio. They showed me a tune at the time they were working on (which ended up being Odyssey) and it sounded sick, like something that I would definitely release on Future Retro London.

When they finished it and sent it over to me, along with some other music they had made around that time, there was more than enough to work with for a full EP & Life Energy is a collection of my favourite tracks of theirs of what they had sent me. Big up to Luca (Dope On Plastic) for their work on this EP, keep an eye out for more music from them in the future!

After the re-release of Drexciya's 'Neptune's Lair' and Transllusion's 'The Opening of the Cerebral Gate', 'Harnessed the Storm' is the third album in Tresor Records' great Drexciya reissue program.
Originally released in 2002, 'Harnessed the Storm' was conceived as the opening chapter of the legendary Seven Storms - a series of seven albums created within a single year and released via several labels under different names. 'Harnessed the Storm' was the sole one in the series credited under the main Drexciya project.
The album, which is considered to be one of the pair's darkest, was produced in a time of creative outbreak and emotional turbulence. The duo's confidence was at a peak, new techniques revolutionized musical production, but the duo also had to face Stinson's severe health issues. This led to a radical shift of pace in producing and releasing music. For the Detroit pair it was time to move on from their ground-breaking past. It was time for some shape shifting and wave jumping to occur, in Drexciya's terms.

The initiatory journey begins with a key.

The Veiled Key is the debut EP on Paradisal Records by Edoardo Marino aka Edo Ecker, and it’s also a promise: the promise of unlocking still-unknown sonic doors.

Another artist Made in Sicily, another child of Mount Etna, with a background in classical piano that soon evolved into a remarkable electronic sensitivity.

The record explores dance, techno, and electro textures on the A-side, while the B-side delivers a vocal that lingers in your mind—before closing with a true musical poem.

We are thrilled to introduce Gianmaria Coccoluto's new label, Dubblack. The label proudly begins the journey through its evocative and archetypical ‘spiral’ with a marvelous EP by its head-honcho (GNMR), which perfectly embodies the spirit of the Italian imprint. 'Self Control’ is a three-track record, out both on vinyl and digital versions, that brilliantly blends a vast array of sonic influences into just 20 minutes. ‘Self Control’, 'Vado Avanti’ and ‘Give Me Music’ give life to a compelling, at times dark, fascinating techno tinged EP.

Tresor resident DJs LNS and DJ Sotofett have for some years been developing a style at the club‘s Globus floor, and their new EP is a die cut of exactly the classic techno, electro, and house music they play.
Here are no productions drenched in reverb, no hi-fi obsessions or generic algorithmic patterns – this is Globus Trax, the duo's third release on Tresor Records, four tracks consisting of real TR-909 workouts, rude and driving basslines, live runs through the mixing desk, and a Blake Baxter cover version with LNS on vocals.
LNS & DJ Sotofett programmed an EP to perfectly fit their warehouse style of DJing, bringing out colour and variation in a spectrum more similar to a club compilation than a dogmatically reduced concept. With a single repeated vocal sample, Globus Trax opens bombastically with ClickClickClick, a dub -infused UK garage house track anyone in the world can easily describe in the course of a second.
Following this comes Gearbox which is a hefty slab of big room electro featuring a centerpiece arpeggio and the warmest harmonic pads on the EP's four tracks, which not-so-subtly makes reference to the pioneering band that shares a name with Globus and Tresor's home, the Kraftwerk.
The house vibe returns on Destination 909, which is nothing but a manifesto for the TR-909, where the beloved drum machine's jacking beats meet galactic strings and synthetic bass, only to be ripped apart in a slamming break that sees the machine take centre stage as it cuts in-and-out of the mix, again a clear nod to the duo’s sets in the club.
LNS steps up on vocal duties and DJ Sotofett keeps the 909 running for their final cut, taking a deeper dive into the realms of classic techno and paying tribute to “The Prince of Techno” Blake Baxter by covering his Reach Out originally released on Tresor Records in 1995.
The 12” was cut by DJ Sotofett himself at Manmade Mastering, where he resurrects the lost art of late-90s loud cuts with sonic presence and punch, optimal for the club-focused 12” format, and is the first to come in the new Tresor Sleeve, boasting an embossed logo on either side.

A year after her rebirth on the 2.0 EP, Maedon returns to her Rant & Rave imprint with the intentions of her previous release now distilled and focused into bold new forms. Whereas before the artist was transitioning from her earlier work towards new directions, Matter & Form arrives as an extended concept piece featuring four variations on a bracing, developed sound, an equally impressive remix from Lady Starlight, and a contrasting mix of the opening track. Where 2.0 charted emergence, 'Entelechy I-IV' unites to actualize this potential into a single-minded purpose behind fundamental principles.

Immediately launching into territory her last release only hinted at, 'Entelechy I' is a showcase for her now-mature approach. Her rhythmic dexterity and groove focus remains, with drum programs subtly evolving phrase by phrase, but they now form the basis for layered, complex compositions in a decidedly contemporary vein. 'Entelechy II' shifts focus towards the arrangement while keeping its drums steadily driving, drawing attention to details in its densely designed sounds through deliberate, gradual processing. Relaxing the tempo slightly, 'Entelechy III' fills in the extra space with more dark atmospherics and finely detailed soundscapes, finding a heavy medium between dark ambience and hammering techno. Another deeper effort, 'Entelechy IV' counterbalances insistent, finely-tooled percussive bleeps and equally persistent bass figures against another sweeping bass pulse, at times breaking down into carefully-controlled atonal aggression. Lady Starlight's remix is skeletal in comparison, deploying its parts sequentially over ticker hi hats and a massive kick while using small shifts to incrementally build tension. 'Entelechy I (Bent Mix)' is more accurately described as hellbent, stripping out the original's harmonic elements to grind the heavy rhythmic workout against an unrelenting acid line.

We welcome Orlando Voorn, a bonafide LEGEND of Techno with a career spanning over 3 decades for a brand new 4 track EP. Each track has that 'classic' sound that OV is so good at. Absolute class. 3 out there Techno tracks and one House masterclass, plus the vinyl is a very limited edition (only 250 copies exist) with special technology I've not seen for decades that means playback occurs 'INSIDE OUT' (Plays from the label outwards). DON'T SLEEP !!

Orli returns to Jooice with an EP celebrating ten years of friendship and shared musical vision. Four tracks that blend his sonic roots with contemporary influences, merging psy and progressive elements with the pulses of tech house and techno.

His personal and recognizable sound unfolds in a progressive and engaging flow, designed to make an impact in DJ sets. The artistic direction is signed by Gabbs, who accompanied Orli in crafting a mature and versatile work. More than a comeback, this release is a heartfelt tribute to the connection with the Jooice family: a bridge between past and present, encapsulated in an authentic and current sound.

Straight from the heart of the 1991 UK rave scene — CUT001, later known as Rabbit City 001, captures the raw underground energy of the era. Originally a short-run white label promo, the record became an instant cult classic.

Produced by Blow alongside Colin Faver (Kiss FM legend RIP), the release was born out of London’s early rave network — record shops packed with weekend ravers, distributors playing new cuts down the phone, and pirate radio pushing the boundaries.

Physically unreleased material from the years 1989 and 1990. All songs composed, performed, and produced by Stephen Ugo Rosin. Heaven and Satan is recorded in 1990 using an Akai MG1214 12-track 1/2” tape recording console. The Ultimate Om, Soul to Soul, and Family Values were recorded in 1989 on a TASCAM 244 cassette porta-studio. Original mixes were to VHS-HiFi, with those recordings digitally remastered in 2001.
