Scott Monteith is the Berlin-based but Canadian-born artist best known as Deadbeat. But here, for the first time in some two decades, he steps out with new alias Ark Welders Guild. It is an audio-visual performance and recording project with Italian singer and curator Letizia Trussi, whom he met in winter 2021 and has since formed a strong creative bond. They work in Trussi's Rooms of Kairos studio and have already cooked up two album length pieces that come on Monteith's BLKRTZ imprint. Mons Clepsydra is the first and is an epic drone in four parts with string recordings permeating the moody, grainy, heavy atmospheres.

BLANKA the young Spanish artist has been making waves under her Room Trax home since a number of years. With major breakthroughs in releases and international shows in 2022; 2023 seems even bigger and brighter. Her debut SK_eleven release shows how hard she has been working in the studio.

TEN. KR3 marks the double-figure release, starring David Foster: the man behind the Huren project, which has been churning out influential tracks for the past three decades. Blood Fire Debt – has been described by David with one word: ‘survival’. Indeed, in this tenth release we rediscover an already legendary artist of the power electronics scene, in his most honest and consistent form. Expressing himself through cinematic-noise, harmonised by dark drones and slo-mo rhythms. RLGN joins forces with a series of collaborators on his new Romantichrist EP, on Maceo Plex’s Lone Romantics.

Russian innovator RLGN has a rough and ready techno sound that has come on Boysnoize Records, Private Persons and Don't Recordings. He is part of the experimental wave of post-Soviet artists mixing up scruffy basement techno with acid-laced modern electronics. Here he works solo on two tracks as well as with frequent collaborator Locked Club - a fellow Russian electronic punk, DUMMFÖUND - a Middle Eastern melody master who does everything from disco edits to house, breaks and techno, and Stelmakh - a musician, pianist and composer
from Russia.

The solo cut 'Olonkho' opens up with heavily filtered and guttural vocalisations looped over bristling breakbeats. It's a fizzing, caustic cut with snappy kicks and explosive hits that will blow up any dance floor. RLGN & Locked Club then join forces for 'Betrunkener Hund' which is a grizzly and frosty mid-tempo techno cut. The synths are twisted, the mood dystopian and the atmosphere edgy.

RLGN & DUMMFÖUND's 'Mahaut' spins out on more busted bass and visceral drum programming with Middle Eastern vocal wails adding a sense of tension to the machine madness. RLGN & Stelmakh's 'Thriller' is a distorted and brain-frying mix of rusty synths and yelling vocals over urgent, broken techno drums and blizzard-like pads. RLGN shuts down the EP with the second solo track 'Rain In Kyoto', a punchy electro-techno workout with busy synth modulations, lush bell melodies and turbocharged basslines.

These are five fierce and formidable techno fusions that take no prisoners.

Following on from Lyric Hood's solo release, 'Everything / Social Distance' in July, M-Plant takes us into August with the first new release this year from Robert Hood and Floorplan.

Opening the proceedings is a solo mission from Robert Hood. 'The Struggle' opens with acidic-funk that's highlighted by Tamika Mallory's stirring speech following the murder of George Floyd, before launching into powerful stripped-back Techno. This is protest music, Hood-style.

The rest of the EP is devoted to Robert and Lyric Hood's collaborative Floorplan project. The original version of 'Save The Children' brings tough House with blazing horns and vocal refrains to continue the themes of social change. While the Detroit Mix goes deep and bassy, overlaid with poignant vocal samples including the words of Dick Gregory.

It has been a little over a year since the release of 747's debut album, in which the Canadian masterfully drew notes of inspiration from the 90s to create an enchanting hour-long dream. In his first EP since, 747 returns from a temporal leap, bringing with him a blend of sounds and expressions to forge a timeless trip which hinges on the sounds of the 303.

Opening the release, "you,you" unfolds with a gentle and shimmery padded ambiance of anticipation. Gentle and light-footed percussion is soon interrupted by a dramatic siren, a warning beacon. Frenetic energy ensues, a frantic rush to the floor met with a cloudy head. Encompassed in an envelope of disorienting wailing and intermittent buzzing, but finally grounded by the familiarity of a 4/4 bass drum.

"Does Anybody Remember Laughter?" steps in to relinquish the force of gravity. The animated arpeggio and gleaming singing acid line rise up, uncovering the kaleidoscopic nature of the structural surroundings.

"While My 303 Gently Weeps" divulges further, exposing an underlying grid of dark geometry - binary and robotic. The topology of surfaces becomes increasingly fractalized, until the solo overtakes with a somber sadness. The 303 notes guide the mind on a melancholic and meditative walk along the grand staff, met after the break with a sense of hope and serenity.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if the Spice Girls smoked crack and joined forces with the Power Rangers on acid? Meet BĘÃTFÓØT. These punk-infused electronic poltergeists and big-beat acid trio are Udi Naor, drummer and founding member of electronic duo Red Axes, Adi Bronicki (who also fronts Israeli garage-punk-folk band Deaf Chonky) and ace of all trades guitarist Nimrod Goldfarb.
The band have been launching warped stoner-acid-pop out of Tel Aviv with maniacal intent and are producing post-punk rave bangers that will scorch every dance floor with a huge lethal smile. BĘÃTFÓØT
are a DIY supergroup who describe themselves as sitting somewhere between Aqua, Beastie Boys and The Prodigy.
Their music endeavours feel akin to being hurtled through a kaleidoscopic waterslide, overflowing with the spirit of 90’s youth culture. The radioactive trio are DJ’s, musicians, songwriters and producers with a diverse range of individual projects and talents, their combined sonics map your journey across the hazy astral spectrum of hip-hop, big beat and rave music. Overdriven, corroded, corrupted and absolutely blasted, it contains so many essential elements of clubland low life, but yet manages to remain beautifully original whilst pushing all levels deep into the red until it hurts in the best possible way. Anyone hooked on Andy Stott's dirtiest works, Porter Ricks deepest explorations or Techno Animal's speaker punishing grooves will find addictive nourishment within these relentlessly distorted heavyweight grooves.... Not so much hard as completely f-ckin brutal, the master stroke from Justin Broadrick however, is takin his raw materials and feeding them militantly into the dub chamber. The album's title track sounds like Drum & Bass don Digital or the peak of the Metalheadz label dragged down into hell for the ultimate bad rave trip, whilst 'Crawler' could be Killing Joke, jammin with Regis and his aggro allies from Birmingham Techno's underappreciated discography, deep in a warehouse warzone. You don’t have to dig techno to dig this dirt, you just have to enjoy having your head taken off and your body physically punished. If Jeff Mills output had been chopped, screwed and then painfully, slowly crushed, it may resemble the monolithic, psychedelic, crawl of 'Sewer Bait'.” – Kevin Martin

Blank Code Records launches with its first release Circle 1 by label artist Mutate. Circle 1 is the first in a series of releases by Mutate and features remixes by Drumcell, Audio Injection, and Bas Mooy Detroit has always had a definitive voice in the future sound of techno, and this debut release from Blank Code is a prime example of both the latest from Detroit, and its international allegiances exemplified by three brilliant remixes from some of techno's most accomplished modern artists.

O-Wells is back on Die Orakel with his fourth transmission, called "Moldoom". This 4-track séance is mainly made of uplifiting, spaced out electro tracks, some rolling along with subtle or acid basslines, lush pads and gently subdued detroitish chords. Die Orakel leave it at your sonic discretion, whether the catalogue number references the year 1996.

The phrase 'feux follets' from which Archipel 105 draws its title, comes from the Latin ignis fatuus, and translates as will-o'-the-wisp. The etymology reaches back to old folktales in which ill-intentioned spirits would cast an atmospheric glow at night, in order to lead weary travellers astray. Today, the term refers to ghost-lights - artificial light reflections caused by decomposing organic emissions. Anyway you choose to understand it; this music contains the mysterious and unattainable. Feux Follets are meant to depict an elusive (and perhaps also illusive) ambition. A tense equilibrium colours the constant, foundational sounds with aleatory movements. The compositions are detail-oriented, and boldly explore their tangential elements.

After a pandemic hiatus, End Of Dayz has recently returned first with a digital release from an industry newcomer Adam Strange last September and now with a veteran like Pushmann who has been releasing music on labels like Axis, Symbolism, Hardgroove, Be As One or Matterwave where he released his first double LP last summer. The vinyl and digital release "The Deal" comes with remixes from a big name like Gene Richards JR and an extra big name like the British living legend Mark Broom. Following a long-player 'Orbiter' on Avenue 66 and an untitled single for Office Recordings earlier last year, mysterious producer Trux follows up with a brand new EP simply titled 'Eleven'.

Throughout the record, textures of mind-bending ambient, dreamy harmonics and crushed, lo-fi experiments are manipulated across the 8-track 12" marking Office's fifteenth release.

The record sits among a discography of artists that includes Iron Curtis, Christopher Rau and of course, label-owner Baaz.

Storming into 2022 with a flurry of high-octane remixed from a stellar array of artists, Anfisa Letyago continues to solidify her position as one of techno's most talked about names. An intrepid selector with a positive attitude regarding all things art and dancefloor related, she's been making seismic waves within the industry for a few years. Letyago launched her own imprint - N:S:DA last year, originally a celebration of her own dark-brooding style of techno, the label has entered a metamorphosis of sorts, welcoming in a host of established producers to remix the labels first two remix EP's.

Kompakt head-honcho and German techno extraordinaire Michael Mayer opens up the floodgates of this remix project with an alluring interpretation of "Nisida". Decades of industry experience have finely tuned Mayer's taste making to an impeccable standard, his extensive knowledge of dancefloors and deep cuts serves as an excellent explanation for his undeniable ability in the studio. Ethereal vocal snapshots from the original mix are weaved intricately amongst the machine-orchestra of arpeggiated synths and stalwart drum loops. "My aim for this remix was to crystallize this yearning sentiment in Anfisa's whispers by adding more warmth and drama to the track" adds Michael.

The Italian-born, multi-faceted DJ Tennis steps into the arena with his unique take on the original mix of "Nisida". Elegant pads flourish through the mix, carrying listeners weightlessly into warping basslines and razor-sharp drum work. The droning synths seem to induce hypnosis, circling and swaying around the driving kick and scattered hi-hats. A production powerhouse since the early nineties, DJ Tennis continues to juggle event promotion, running a label and booking agency. A hugely talented all-rounder.

1979 draws the EP to a close with a swirling techno edit of "Orizzonte", tastefully minimal and precisely crafted with compelling sound design from the analog synth wizard. Classically trained with a deep penchant for attending illegal raves in his youth, 1979 has been making waves with a flurry of breakout hits in recent years. The arrangement climbs through cycles of high-pitched tones and rolling mid-range bass, taking listeners on a sonic journey steeped in warmth with classic drum machine hits. "'Orizzonte' caught me in many ways, and I decided to use the beautiful space-arpeggios and the shoegaze pads made by Anfisa to create my own version of the track" he adds. The perfect track for highway driving and rocking dancefloors.

Since leaving Richie Hawtin's M_nus family, Magda has set about forging her own distinctive path in electronic music. Unshackled from minimal techno expectations (not that she could ever be defined so narrowly), she has found freedom in this new chapter of her career. Whether its curating myriad unusual sounds on her reborn Items & Things label alongside fellow M_nus emigres Marc Houle and Troy Pierce, developing her own premium tequila brand or burying herself in her new studio setup, all of her output is imbued with a sense of adventure and exploration.

Her effort for Balance indulges both the cerebral, boundary-pushing side of her musical make-up, and the more dancefloor focused one - which is, of course, not without its kooks, quirks and moments of oddity. 'The most important thing is the narrative - what you're trying to say and how' she says of the process of putting her selections together. 'That's why I love the idea of a two mix compilation because it allows for lots of experimentation and space. The challenge is piecing together tracks that may be opposites into something that makes sense. That's the most fun.'

Jagged and oneiric to the finest extent, “Send It” peeps at prime Hokusai and Photek material in its first stretch, slowly making room for further spacious liquid junglism as bars run by. Cranking the 2-step/garage power levels up a notch, “Fantasmas” sends us spinning into orbit right away, while the LP’s closing track “Aurora” takes us on a languidly serene voyage of a finale, tempo slowed-down and suave trip-hop flavours exuding with increased sensitiveness.

Avantroots is one of the leading dub related labels in recent years taking the genre to its furthest and freshest perspectives while still respecting the history and the figures inside it. One of those historical figures is the legendary Linval Thompson who's credits and list of those he influenced are pages long.
To have Linval be the lead on this project truly makes this a unique and special release. 'World Crisis' is Linval's message and it is as definitive as ever. There is a lot of thought put into each step and portion of this project. The overall traditional dub concept is to feature different voices over the same instrumental where this, flips the script and each version has a different electronic music producer add their talents to create their own signature account. The result is an extraordinary and well composed EP. Deepchord, Deepnaut, Pulshar and Braulio Lam were specifically chosen to head up this treasured task of taking 'World Crisis' into their realms.
The Deepnaut version is a true essence of the future of a more mature island late night cultured dub techno sound. The track shimmers in a euphoric glow that covers you like a sun on the beach in summer. Linval's voice is front and center and one could say this may be the most single oriented as it uses the most vocals of any of the renditions here. Braulio Lam's submission has all the makings of a classic styled dub track. While the beat is transcendent, everything else is processed in a new school way. And the technique is next level to be clear. Next is Deepchord's version. To say this is the deepest and most techno might not be much of a surprise. The groove is addictive and the chords sampled into the rhythm while the melody ebbs and flows are pure magic. Lastly, Pulshar breaks things down to the starkest of the choices and one of the most hypnotic. Pablo Bolivar and Sergio Sainz Vidal from Pulshar have a knack for injective some serious island vibes to the electronic scene.
The artwork is also special here. It respects the history of dub culture while advancing the application as it uses AI generated images combined with human elements. The pictures support the message of the 'World Crisis' speaks on by Linval Thompson. This is a special release no doubt. Avant-Roots are very happy with the variety offered by the artists of their label and this release. They shined when it came to harnessing the essence of this track and infusing it into their
particular version of electronic dub.

After a 5 years break, there are finally all new songs from ECHO WEST. On their 9th album they present 10 analog Minimal Wave / Electro tracks (incl. one bonustrack) in the style of early minimal electro heroes. During the creation of these songs, analog equipment was used consciously, in order to do justice to the spirit and feeling of their EBM idols THE KLINIK, VOMITO NEGRO and especially DAF.

Label favorites Pornbugs return with another triumphant release, on the ever-reliable Bondage-Music.

Kicking off with the title track 'Juvania', a deep and sophisticated subtle groover, with its deep bass setting the tone. A filtered vocal hook loops around while trippy percussive adds an additional vibe, while the gated vocal adds a sparkle to proceedings.

Remix duties see Rhadow adding some intrigue, as this bubbling bass led re-tweak unfurls, with trippy vocal fx and tasty percussion, while a warm and magical muted melodic flavor encases things wonderfully.

Next, we find 'Mudita', with its moody rolling groove, and spoken style vocal that adds a little bounce to this workout, while some dubby elements are sprinkled nicely. The breakdown is a hypnotic and cosmic vibed affair, as the spoken word plays with your mind before returning to the track with a real throb. 

Nicola Brusegan steps up to remix Mudita, taking us deep, but keeping the energy levels high, as this deep driver with a classic feel lets go. Punchy goodness!

Sunshine Productions is the old skool alter ego of d'n'b legend A-Sides, also known as part of Citadel of Kaos. This release is brand new, but in the style of the original rave sound from back in the early days, and features three ridiculously good tracks. Each track is as dangerous on the dance floor as you would expect, but because this is a Prime release, they are not only resonant of the birth of rave, but are produced with all the high quality you would expect for a modern release!

First vinyl pressing of Baroque by Japanese composer and multi-instrumentalist Susumu Yokota. The full length album was originally released by United Sounds Of Blue in 2014, a subdivision of Frogman Records in CD format. Now it is being re-released by Barcelona-based record label Modern Obscure Music as a double LP and in digital format. Baroque is one of the most significant albums of Susumu signed under his original name, and this is the first time the album will be pressed on a double LP 12". Yokota, was an eclectic, highly prolific electronic musician and composer from Japan who died in 2015 at 54. "There is always fear, rage, and ugliness existing behind beauty. I have been trying to express ki-do-ai-raku (the four emotions: joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness) through music. I would like to express even one's hidden emotion with reality. It's my eternal goal." Baroque is a clear example of this, thought the deep listeing of the album you can experiment all of that feelings in just one record and feel how his music infulenced the next generation of producers during the two next decades till today. The Tokyo-based artist devoted his time and creative energy to achieving this goal, and the result is a vast discography that begins with banging early acid house tracks in the 1990s, moves across the next two decades to include deep house and Detroit-influenced techno, a stunning run of ambient electronic albums and, in his last decade, a glorious confluence that wove his various skills into a series of borderless electronic records. Modern Obscure Music team is really excited to bring this gem to the light, Baroque is remastered and distributed in two 12" to be played in clubs and home sound-system bringing the best quality of sound to have the best experience. Marc Houle has long been an influence to electronic music, as well as many of our Dirtybird flock. Having been an integral part of Richie Hawtin's Minus label in the early 2000s, he's well known for being a live act and producer—with an affinity for analog gear and a sound that crosses between Detroit & Chicago with a new wave influence.

He made his first appearance on Dirtybird in 2017, where Claude hand-selected him to remix 'Whose Afraid of Detroit' for the 10th anniversary. He's back again on the label, this time with his own EP 'Min and Driver'.

The lead track 'Car and Driver' begins with a ferocious acid line and never lets up, with weighty drums and his signature synth elements weaving in and out.

The flip side, 'Min and Soda', is a trippy minimal monster with sparse and bouncing discord throughout, and using negative space to create a track that is full and impressionable.

Up next on Non Series with a four-track brute is the successful German producer Savas Pascalidis who has been putting out records since the mid 90s. This will be his fourth EP on the Spanish label after releasing NON006, 011 and 016, all since 2012. As a label owner himself of Sweatshop and Lasergun, plus an extensive catalog under his belt from labels such as Figure and 909 Pervertions, Pascalidis is not messing around.
The EP opens with 'Year Two Alpha', a timeless composition sticking to the fundamental roots of techno, classic to the Non Series sound. On the other hand the added sharpness of 'Interpositive' originates from dirty, agitated and unfiltered chords climaxing into speedy rhythmic hihats.
On the flip side, 'Cold Front' presents itself with a rolling bassline using symbols to build dynamism throughout the track where the final cut differs as the smooth melody of 'Quartz' stomps away at a smoother bpm building a comfortable rhythm.
All in all a perfect fit for Non Series, exuding the minimalistic energy of the label.

M.E.R - Montevideo Electric Recordings is an Uruguayan record label named after its capital city, Montevideo. Supporting vinyl's cultural heritage, this was the chosen format for releasing their work. For its third release they present the debut for the label of two local artists. One track from one of the minds behind the project : Cabanelas, with a hypnotic techno track for the dancefloor. Also debuting, M.E.R proudly introduces a great Uruguayan artist, Hernán González as Two Phase U.

CLTD002 is the second vinyl release- the original track bares the signature of Donato Dozzy and Neel, as Voices from the Lake. 531KHz, is without a doubt, a techno track conceived for the dancefloor, but with the dark settings and mental shades that characterize and make unique the work of Donato and Neel. Very few variations, a wall of bass, and an energy that engages mind and spirit.
On the B-side, Kab and Minilogue give us a remix that is a true masterpiece, not many artists are able to deliver their own personal vision without changing the nature of the original project.

Signature Dark is a sub-label of the Signature Dark label. The first release, ”Signature Dark Remixes”, is a collection of remixed versions from the tracks of Signature Dark’s first two albums, ”Foghornia” by Tapani Rinne and ”Dark Days” by Aleksi Myllykoski. The collection will be released digitally and later as a vinyl series.

The publication will contain thirteen works from top notch Finnish techno producers. Dub techno aesthetics is represented in remixes by Roberto Rodriguez or Roope K, while its techno counterpart is found in remixes by Samuli Kemppi or Tuomas Narvio.

Chris Liebing drops 'Love Those Who Fight With Passion And Faith EP' on CLR this January.

For the first CLR release of 2023, Chris Liebing drops a heavy-hitting EP for his own imprint, the two-track 'Love Those Who Fight With Passion And Faith EP'. Leading the release, 'For Those Who Fight' combines sub-rattling kicks and siren-esque bleeps with rousing vocal samples and shimmering percussion for a warehouse-filling club cut. 'With Passion And Faith' keeps the energy levels high with dubbed-out FX, twisted atmospherics and sizzling drum machines.

While 2022 was dominated by Liebing's 'Another Day' LP and remix version, 'Another Night', for Daniel Miller's Mute, 2023 will see Liebing in full-on singles mode with some notable collaborations to come.

Liebing's iconic CLR imprint started in 1999 and returned in 2021 after a five-year hiatus. Now titled Create Learn Repeat, CLR reemerged in the techno underground with releases from Liebing himself, followed by newcomer Frankie Bromley, upstarts Hertz Collision & Gene Richards Jr, DEAS, Truncate, Drumcell and techno legend Luke Slater.

After some quiet, comes a new storm. Fresh on the heels of his first solo album, 6th Floor or Basement, which just came out on Key Vinyl, Dimi Angelis is set tot release a new EP on his own imprint. ANLGS 009 features three fine tracks.

Fifty Fifty is a whizzing powerhouse, its syncopated arpeggios driving it along. Eastern Phantasy takes the listener across a dark and revolving landscape of sound. Mysterious and alluring at the same time. Final track Magnetik is the odd one out on this EP. In terms of sound design, certainly not in terms of impact. Repetitive, industrial stabs interlaced with a subtle driving synth make for a compelling whole.

Titrate is a platform for the publication of high-resolution sonic pieces, set out on a path of continual research and exploration. TITR001 comes from hems, pressed to 180g vinyl housed in reverse board print.

Spread across five tracks, the release transits a number of spaces - from the post-inertia stirrings of "Chaotic Affair", to the cutting and more austere drone layout of "One". Cosmic tech broadcast "Beautiful weekend with friends" is a fizzing metamorphosis that melts and mutates itself into "Switching Gears", a darker and more liquid environment. The final track "Stain" concludes the release with a musique concrète touch.

With an overall meditative albeit experimental tone, this package is replete with rich textural qualities luring the listener

Surrender to the call of NowNow Records as Lee Ann Roberts presents her second release via the imprint, the Alter Ego EP - featuring remixes from Tred, Milo Spykers, and Lokier.

With the ethos that even the most brutal beats can feature soul and subtlety, Lee Ann Roberts' brand of contemporary techno demands full listener attention. Equally inspired by yesterday's rock n roll misfits as she is with dance visionaries, the Amsterdam-based, South African-born artist has found a prominent place within the global industry since her Beatport-hit Suara debut, Miyamoto. Thanks in no small part to a relentless work ethic and a willingness to travel far and wide as an ambassador of sound, Roberts has climbed the echelons of the harder side of dance through sheer determination and creativity. From humble beginnings to underground Los Angeles nights to the stages of international destination festivals like Caprices, BPM, Verknipt, and DGTL, Lee Ann's vibrant touch sets decks aflame wherever she goes. With NowNow Records, she guides a platform for like-minded artists, urging spontaneity and open-mindedness through its colloquial translation "soon".

After NowNow's first-ever V/A release, Lee Ann Roberts provides her second release Alter Ego via the imprint NowNow Records. The four-track Ep is nothing short of what you'd expect from Roberts and NowNow - a ravey throwback with interpretations for all hours. Her eponymous A-side is a percussive driver not for the faint of heart. But, equally dominating as it is enigmatic, Alter Ego sets the pace for things to come. Berlin, by way of Australia's Tred provides the Ep's first remix, a high-powered, relentless ode of rave nostalgia. Next, Antwerp underground hero Milo Spykers takes the reigns with the Eps B1. His take sees Alter Ego transform into the galactic territory - extra spacey but equally bold. Finally, Berlin's one and only Lokier puts the icing on the 90s rave-inspired cake with her psychedelic, peak-time stormer of a remix. If you've caught any of Lee Ann and Lokier's back-to-backs over the last year, you know what you're in store for here - a staple track of those sets.

Finnish electronic maestro, Turunen's previous solo ventures without his Morphology cohort are rare. The last time was a track for AC Records in 2013 (which was remastered earlier this year for Bandcamp), but appearances have also cropped up on Abstract Forms, Muhk and Bliq in previous years.

Damage and Their Slices” is a collaborative album NVST and Theo Muller, in which they invite the listeners to a deep dive into an esoteric universe where dark magic meets political revolt.

The Swiss artist NVST shouts, preaches, stirs up and questions the consciences of his audience with a deluge of words about this sick society, the capitalist infection and the abuse of power. In tune with this mantra of georgeorwellian rhetoric, the music by Frenchman Théo Muller turns the malaise of the content into form: paranormal psychedelia, arcane dub, industrial ectoplasms, esoteric ambient and paranormal drones. In short: a friction of electronic sounds that Kraftwerk, years ago, unwittingly defined as metal on metal. Live, this call to action to necromancy and revolution takes on an amphibious, organic, almost cathartic and revealing form.

After two successful years, NowNow Records' first V/A features Vienna's Aida Arko, whose A Long Night Into Dunwall kicks things off with her typically industrial, dark, and percussive groove before melding into Brecc's appropriately titled Praise the Rave. The Utrecht-based artist, known for his relentlessly energetic sets, draws from much experience with this one, and it shows! Next, Paris' enigmatic Blicz lets the music do the talking with Independance Night before fellow Frenchmen Geerson closes the affair with the bonafide banger, Domenical Mass.

The complete release is not one for the faint of heart but definitely for those looking for that moment where the music takes you travelling without ever having to leave where you are.
