Bass Clef Vs. Frak - Bad Trip / Strange Gait - Platter004

It has been over a year since the last Schmorgasbord release dropped, which saw Al Tourettes (better known now as Second Storey) rubbing up against Paradroid in a mix up of electro, techno and electronica styles.
Now the label returns with Bass Clef and Frak, who were asked to each commit a half-finished sketch of a track to tape, exchange tapes and finish off each others tracks.
Bass Clef has been a strong solo force on the electronic music scene since he first emerged in the wider bass music field in 2006, and has since released on Idle Hands, Punch Drunk, Pan and Public Information as well as running his own Magic + Dreams imprint.
Swedish trio Frak have been releasing since their debut album in 1987 when they were thirteen years old. The Swedish trio have been active for most of that time, running Borft Records and releasing a huge amount of music as well as performing live. In recent years they have enjoyed more recognition with releases on Kontra Musik, Digitalis and Sex Tags Mania.
Schmorgasbord launched in 2011 with a release that saw Appleblim and October collaborating for the first time. It was followed up by a release from S-Max and Spatial.

Efrain Rozas - Still

Efrain Rozas

Still

12inchRESLP018
Futura Resistenza
20.01.2026

Have you noticed that Western music emphasises linear time? Melody is a continuous sequence of sounds. Harmony and rhythm follow a progression from beginning through climax and resolution. Is it possible to have an art that is based on non-linear time? Can we even experience non-linear time? Efrain Rozas' Still posed this question in the form of an installation made for quadraphonic sound, architecture and light. A document of his installation at Queenslab--part of a one-month residency with The Kitchen, New York City in April 2021--the album is a live, stereo room recording of Still as it was presented over three one-hour viewings. Efrain Rozas is a Peruvian interdisciplinary artist working with Latin American music, robotics, sculpture and installation. He holds a PhD in composition and ethnomusicology from New York University, and is a 2023-2024 Jerome Hill Artist Fellow. He has published Fusi?n: a soundtrack for Peru, a publication, video documentary, and music compilation; and has released several albums internationally via Names You can Trust, the Ethnomusicology Institute of Peru, the Embassy of Spain and Buh Records.

Maruwa - Liquid Night EP

Maruwa

Liquid Night EP

12inchXK029
X-Kalay
17.10.2022

Maruwa bows at the altar of ‘90s prog house and IDM. Classically trained as a pianist, the St. Petersburg born Frankfurt based artist has made it her mission to join the dots between big room rave and a decidedly off-planet approach to melody. Now, making a debut for X-Kalay, that journey continues...

‘Liquid Night’ genuinely sounds like something you might have heard during Love Parade’s golden era. Meshing noirish sci-fi atmosphere with trance synths and EBM flex, the shadowy territory it occupies also carries through to A2’s ‘Midnight Caller’. That said, the followup cut evokes an essence of ‘90s dancefloor utopia, balancing euphoric melodrama with tough, propulsive NRG.

Taking inspiration from mid-‘90s acid prog, ‘Tricky Question’ summons the divine wide-eyed and sublime – less urgent, but still imbued with that '90s halcyon daze. Rudolf C then rounds things off with a fathoms-deep remix. Ushering ’Tricky Question’ into that techy space he navigates so well, the Salt Mines co-founder provides his own spin without losing the essence of the original.

Wasp EP

Drumcode
10.05.2021

Rebuke returns for his third EP on Drumcode, reinforcing his status as one of the most innovative new artists in techno.

The Irishman’s previous offerings on the label ‘Rattle’ and ‘Obscurity’ have been standouts; interesting and innovative in equal measures, the artist’s grind to push himself sonically and offer up something fresh with each release profoundly evident. ‘Rattle’ was a commercial and critical success, included in DJ Mag’s tracks of 2019 round-up, while ‘Obscurity’, garnered acclaim from all corners of the industry and saw all three tracks hit the Beatport Techno Top 10 (Peak Time / Driving).

‘Wasp’ continues this inspiring vein of form. The lead track is a signature Rebuke’ the kind that of synapse-searing belter that promises to join the canon of his biggest tracks to date. ‘Clarity’ and ‘Redemption’ are shimmering slices of cinematic techno, drawing as much inspiration from film soundtracks, as they do from the rave, reinforcing the artist’s expansive creative approach. ‘Redemption’ will be familiar to many, having highlighted Rebuke’s acclaimed Essential Mix last summer. It continues on the same thematic tip, a stirring widescreen composition, powerful and emotive; it’s destined to be an end-of-night tear-jerker, once it’s safe for parties to return.

Tricky - False Idols LP 2x12"

Tricky

False Idols LP 2x12"

2x12inchK7308LPC
!K7 Records
17.02.2023

Tricky is back. Back with a new studio album, False Idols, and his own label (also bearing the False Idols name), but also back in a personal sense. I was lost for ages, he says. I was trying to prove something to people, trying to do something to please other people and also myself at the same time, which is never going to work. To be honest with you, Ive been floating around since Chris Blackwell and Island. My last two albums, I thought they were good, but I realise now they werent. This album is about me finding myself again.
It opens with a cover of a Van Morrison song, Somebodys Sins, which sees Tricky and vocalist Francesca Belmonte whispering Jesus died for somebodys sins, but not mine over a sparse groaning bass. The lead single Parenthesis, which features a vocals from Peter Silberman of The Antlers, has more rhythmic grunt, which gives a different dimension to the dark gothic atmosphere that pervades the record. No-one does this kind of thing better.
The resemblance to Maxinquaye is undeniable, though the material on False Idols is gentler; more mature. Many of the songs feature artists signed to Trickys new label, including 24-year Londoner Francesca Belmonte and Fifi Rong. The album also includes collaborations with Nigeria's new global star Nneka, the afore-mentioned Peter Silberman. In the months before the albums release, False Idols will also release an EP "Matter of Time" showcasing the labels roster on new non-album material produced by Tricky.
Why the name False Idols Because theres so much bollocks going on at the moment mate, Tricky fires back. People follow celebrities and read every little thing they do. Its living vicariously through someone else. Get your own life. All this stuff is false idols. In this new album Ill stand behind every track, Tricky says. I dont care whether people like it. Im doing what I want to do, which is what I did with my first record. Thats what made me who I was in the beginning. If people dont like it, it dont matter to me because Im back where I was.

Xenogears (a.k.a. The Analogue Cops) - Lost Artemis LP 2x12"

Xenogears is the name of the first studio project of Marieu and Lucretio, also known as The Analogue Cops. With this moniker they released a bunch of seminal Techno cuts on the first chapters of their Restoration imprint, back in 2007. Tracks which were played by legends as Anthony Shakir, Claude Young and The Suburban Knight. Now the Xenogears are back with their first album 'Lost Artemis', showcasing their distinctive fast, Detroit-inspired hardware Techno.
The album features a collaboration with their usual collaborator NoMadRonin (with whom they run the label Bratha) and with the talented producer known as Objekt. All the tracks are characterized by a strong fascination for hi-tech synthesizers and rusted vintage gears, a fast pace, and a minimal approach to live mixing. They have explored the subterranean territories between post-atomic noises and apocalyptic breakbeats, finding a way to equate machines with funkiness in an open battlefield.

Manqo - Always Something EP

(Incl. Ida Engberg Remix)

Mysterious duo Manqo return to Damian Lazarus' imprint with Always Something. Following their first release on the label in 2021, called Breaking Hearts, their latest two-track EP displays the pair's penchant for compelling house music, produced with a tribal twist. Swedish star Ida Engberg adds her own flavour to the release with a progressive-tinged remix.

The title track opens with a chugging kickdrum and shaker-like percussion, as soft lyrics simmer between a melancholic, piano-led melody. It's moving but still appropriate for an intimate dancefloor. Ida Engberg delivers a progressive take with her remix. She mutates the stems of Always Something by adding dramatic touches to the synthline and stretching out the breakdown to create a tense atmosphere that explodes into a peak-time production. A perfect prog-house meets melodic techno remix.

There is also the brand new title track 'Pulsor' which is a nice heady and deep cut with silky synth ripples and rubbery drums intertwining with one another perfectly. The two remixes included have never been available on vinyl before. The first is Orlando's chunky and funky techno rework of 'Boucle To The Beat', one of Toddy Terry's most recognisable early tracks. Victor Ruiz - The Eye Of The Beholder

I am really proud to present this 3-tracker by Victor Ruiz on Noir Music. I think he is one of the best and most flawless techno producers right now and together we have carefully picked three tracks which perfectly showcases his production skills.

I often write how I've worked with the artists on my labels to make their tracks reach their best potential.

With Victor I feel everything has been served to me on a silver platter as his productions are already perfectly crafted. Although Victor changed details right up until last minute, some of these tracks also dates back 2 years, so he has had plenty of time to make everything sit and sound right. After a nine month break from releasing originals I feel truely honored that Victor has chosen Noir Music as the label for this venture. Both Victor and I feel these three tracks compliment each other and at the same time showcase his skills to make great, diverse music. Check the entire release. The music will speak for itself.

BRSTL returns with two house cuts from Jay L, his second release for the label.
Started in 2011 as a means to highlight house and techno being produced in Bristol, the label watched over by Shanti Celeste and Idle Hands' Chris Farrell is now into double figures.
'Show Me' on the A-side is a finely constructed piece of house music aimed at DJs and dancers. Anyone who saw Jay's recent Boiler Room debut will know his musical style - steeped in classic US house, soul and boogie but with a tastefully bumpy UK edge.
The B-side 'Blue Age' is a deeper cut living up to its title, all wistfull piano keys and a subdued bass line. This is Jay L and BRSTL doing what they do best, sending vibes from Bristol to the world.

Kr!z - Atlantis

Atlantis

Token Records
24.11.2022

(early support by Ben Klock, DVS1, DJ Nobu & Ben Sims) After solid follow-ups on Setaoc Mass's SK¦Eleven and James Ruskin's Blueprint, Kr!z now offers 'Atlantis',pushing new depth into two original tracks with remixes by the infamous Oscar Mulero and exciting up-and-coming Marcal.

Back from the studio with his second release on the label is Token's very own boss Kr!z. Positioned at the forefront of the international scene for quite some time as a DJ and label head, Kr!z first unveiled his work to the public as a producer on a few compilations starting in 2017, leading to a debut full-length EP 'Mantra' in 2019 via Token. After solid follow-ups on Setaoc Mass's SK¦Eleven and James Ruskin's Blueprint, Kr!z now offers 'Atlantis', pushing new depth into two original tracks with remixes by the infamous Oscar Mulero and exciting up-and-coming Marcal.

The title track 'Atlantis' claims the A1 wasting no time in clarifying the EP's intention. A brewing whirlpool of pitch bending pads suck in the listener while rowing down linear percussion and resonant stabs. The cut boasts dimension as it tosses and turns throughout its duration, taking us right into Oscar Mulero's 'deconstruction' as a follow-up. Respecting the cyclical spirit of the original track, Mulero slowly guides sustained bells through a thickened percussion-line to rethink Atlantis's accents. Mulero focuses the pace of the record and we land on a slightly more sequenced B side. 'Nautilus' brings a loopy groove with momentary dissonant synth-work to polish things up. Stricter transitions provide structure to the EP as a whole, and the energy passes from a maelstrom to waves. To conclude, Brazil's Marcal provides his take on 'Nautilus' by tightening the seams and adding his famed groove to Kr!z's work. Particularly playful on the drums and fleeting stabs, Marcal adds sway to the mix with an infectious pulsating bassline that effortlessly pushes all other elements; never once losing his balance.

SCALPING - Void LP

Void LP

12inchHTH157
HOUNDSTOOTH
29.04.2022

Bristol techno, noise and hardcore supremos SCALPING are
releasing their highly anticipated debut album ‘Void’.
‘Void’ comes on the heels of an extremely exciting 2021 for the
band, which saw them play to sold-out crowds at the Roundhouse
twice in two weeks - both on tour with Squarepusher and at
Pitchfork Festival London - as well as releasing two widely
acclaimed EPs titled ‘FLOOD’ and ‘FLOOD Remixed’, the latter of
which featured treatments from producers Hodge, Azu Tiwaline,
object blue, AQXDM and Laurel Halo and Scottish instrumental
rock legends Mogwai.

SCALPING are heavy metal in 4D; the sound is moody, distorted
and rhythmic, but the use of electronic techniques gives the finer
details room to breathe, making more space for experimentation.
Tracks such as ‘Tether’, featuring Oakland rapper DÆMON, puts
a modern, metal twist on Bristolian trip-hop, whereas album closer
‘Remain in Statis’ features fast-rising artist Grove, a Bristol-based
rapper and self-professed metalhead whose commanding
presence sets the track alight.

In the heat and darkness, it’s a swarm of low-end frequencies and
ripping guitars, somewhere between Black Sabbath-esque
psychedelica and The Bug’s sub-bass headfuckery. Live, the
effect is immense. SCALPING play continuously for the duration of
their sets, generating a storm of metal-and-techno through a rising
beats-per-minute count.

‘Void’ will be put to the test, as the band kicks off an eight-date UK
headline tour, culminating in a live performance at fabric on May
5th. As live shows return in 2022, SCALPING will continue to
prove themselves as one of the UK’s most impressive, ambitious,
and original new live bands.

OMEN Recordings continues to push forward with no brakes on for the new year. For our 14th release we are bringing back Los Angeles based artist, and co-founder, AXKAN, who contributes two original tracks to this hard-hitting EP. Other artists adding their renditions to this project are London based, Manni Dee, and Serbian artist, Scalameriya.

No Hope - Starts with heavy break-beat kicks with grimy leads and robotic detuned voices hovering above. Bursts of atmospheric percussion and thunder will demand your attention. The track has a swing groove, while layered with ever changing analog synths to keep you connected.

Berlin - This track grabs you from the beginning with haunting sound scapes and quickly reels you in with 4X4 smashing kicks. The dramatic drop and chugging percussive motion makes this a dancefloor favorite.

Berlin (Manni Dee London Mix) - Distorted and loud kicks are the main attraction in this mash-up, but adding to the flavor are relentless, driving hats and rim-shots to make this a big room banger.

No Hope (Scalameriya Remix) - Stealing the show for this remix are prominent lead synth melodies that are well arranged around the break-beat pattern that compliments the original track. It definitely takes you by surprise in the way new parts are introduced, but never derailing from it’s persistent hard techno style.

Chrissy - Physical Release LP 2x12"

For Hooversound’s ninth release, SHERELLE and NAINA welcome San Francisco-based DJ and producer Chrissy to the family for the label’s debut album release. Coming out on the 27th October, ‘Physical Release’ blends elements of ravey techno, house, and jungle that have run through his previous work. The final result is an exploration of what our scene’s physical spaces mean and how they feed into themes of politics, family, connection and joy.

Speaking about the album Chrissy says,
"These songs were inspired by our scene's physical spaces: the warehouses, clubs, record stores, late night cafes, lofts, and friends' living rooms that let us connect to each other, experience the joy and wonder of dance music culture, and find our family.

I've seen these spaces gradually decimated by cops, property developers, cynical corporate brand partners, irresponsible promoters, and a global pandemic. The end result is a dance music culture that feels more online and disconnected, culminating in over a year without any physically shared spaces.
Encouragingly, I've seen many in our community finally acknowledge a painful reality: our scene has failed to live up to its utopian ideals, and to protect, value, and uplift all of our peers. No matter how fondly we remember our first raves, the culture was and is broken, and it's our job to fix it.

So while this album may feel like a paean to a bygone era, it is more a reflection of optimism about the future: a hope that we can rebuild our scene and our communal physical spaces with better priorities and better values, so that everybody can experience the euphoria, joy, transcendence, and physical release of the dancefloor."

The album opens with a quote from artist, author, and transgender activist Edie Fake, who also designed the artwork for ‘Physical Release’. A fellow Chicago-to-California transplant, Edie’s previous work has dealt largely with physical spaces, including historical queer nightlife spaces.

A beautifully produced collection of instrumental tracks by The Disciples' Russ Bell-Brown featuring 8 excursions in chill out, atmospheric downtempo and dubby breakbeat. Surely we wouldn't be surprised to hear some of these at a Cafe del Mar sunset session in Ibiza. The way these tracks build up over a gradient (sometimes up to 11 minutes long) from silence to mellowed out spacial trance was clearly not done with industry standards of any sort in mind, allowing the listener to dive deep into the takes of this uncompromising producer. The title Experiments couldn't be more appropriate. In his own words: “This is a collection of tracks recorded in the mid 90`s... not reggae but what i call my `experiments`... downtempo, electronic, ambient, ethnic, jazzy, funky, dubby.... whatever came into my mind.” Surgically re-mastered for vinyl by manmade mastering in Berlin.

Danielle Arielli - Can U Feel It EP

Tooflez Muzik is a Berlin based label that stretches the boundaries and borders of are presenting their first vinyl release by label head Danielle Arielli.

Tooflez Muzik was born in Berlin in winter 2016. A need for quality and diverse house music plus day long parties were the driving factor of the labels birth.

Combining different flavours of house music, from deep house and acid house toghetto tech and beyond, Tooflez Muzik is focussed on quality over genres.

The Berlin label delivers the 4 tracker, hand stamped and produced by Danielle Arielli. Danielle delves into the realms of house music, combining a taste of the oldschool and the new school with her own touch of soulful and jacking house.

A1: “Can U Feel It”, is a perfect description of Danielle’s take on acid house.
Characterized by synth stabs and acid lines in combination with mesmerising vocals by Adora Odilli make this the perfect dance floor filler.

A2: The “Backseat Mix”, can be used as a bass bumping DJ tool or a soundtrack for the sheets, focusing on vocals backed up by funky percs and smooth melody.

B1: “Gettem Down”, brings us back to the dance floor. Rolling acid basslines, cheeky drums and a funky vocal cut, make this an excellent prime time number.

B2: The River”, takes you on a a deep journey as the chords and synth lines develop. It is a definite deep groover supported once again by singer Adora Odilli.
Saving the best for last, as they say…

05.02.2021

JIN’s 2nd EP storms out the gate with Hong Kong’s finest Mr. Ho. The Klasse Wreck’s head honcho boss drops three originals.

A1 “Holy Smokes” is a slow-motion, acid-flavored chugger, making one feel like snake-rolling through Hong Kong’s urban jungle. B1 “Not Good with Others,” a no BS bassy and bossy track, swings with a filthy kick from the get-go. The EP finishes with B3 “Emo Springs”, which blends futuristic jungle, tribal, house, and juicy basslines into a must-get dance floor heater.

Added are two sonic-weapon-remixes:

On A2 UK OG duo Dawl & Sween hits all the cylinders with mean breakbeat banger remix of “Holy Smokes.” On B2 Hong Kong’s 宀 Club’s music curator Sunsiaré runs “Emo Spring” through an electrifying old school jungle reshape, leaving all buzzed by his sonic assault.

28.11.2016

Olin follows his debut on Giegling sub-label g g g by launching his very own imprint, Boundary Monument.
The record's A-side is taken up by "Conne" an extended techno work building in momentum until the bassline explodes and all the track's pieces fall into place. "Foist," a tune as playful as it is dizzying, opens the B-side. Then comes "Biota," a nine-minute-long thing of beauty that feels just as delicate and just as mesmerizing as the A-side and works just as well for at-home listening as it does in the club.
BOM 01 is Olin's most confident and composed work to date, and his brilliantly simple, utilitarian philosophy as a producer shines through: "I make tracks so that I can play out what I want to hear."

Limited promo restock !

Three tracks of elemental techno unfold on the third EP by Relaxer. Forming' and Forming (Version)' offer distinct takes on a simple rhythmic motif, either reaching for the heavens or sinking into hell. Both develop gradually, drawling in the dance floor before unleashing, the a-side's yearning strings and thunderclaps overflow with emotion, while Version' is a vortex of ever-escalating intensity. In between is Monday,' a careening rush of shimmering synths and pounding drums.

Relaxer
14.07.2022

Following a live debut at Berghain and standout shows at De School and Institut fuer Zukunft, Daniel Martin-McCormick returns as Relaxer with the fourth installment in the project's eponymous EP series. Jamie Lee' takes over the a-side, harrowing screams are framed by strobing chords and a deadly groove. Simultaneously euphoric, agonizing and cathartic, Jamie Lee' was written as the climax of Relaxer's live set and is a prime example of the artist's uniquely feral techno. Drawing equally on punk confrontations and more haunting emotional explorations, Jamie Lee' is a lacerating and visceral descent.
On the b-side, Unwind' oozes from the speakers, a miasmic cut that builds on the white knuckle tension of Jamie Lee.' A lone synth figure worms its way through pulsating 3D drones, shimmering dissonances and hiccuping drums, rocking out into a quasi catatonic infinity. Finally Regime Change' gently floats on the surface of a trash-filled sea, a fading, smog choked reverie.

We are super excited about this Rob Hes's this release on Tronic. "The Solution" is without a doubt one of our biggest tracks in a while. It features a hypnotic musical hook that devastate the dance floors every time. Early feedback has been amazing so far. For the two other tracks Rob collaborated with up and coming Laat, and Patrik Berg. "Beloved" is a simple yet powerful groover. And "My Moog" has a twisted moog bassline and is a great track for the morning hours.

Counterweight’s first release of 2019 comes by the hands of the Italian duo RVDE and includes a remix by the Spanish gringo Gonzo MDF.

Once again, the RVDE guys show what they can do best, Techno for the dancefloor full of energy with no mercy. The A-side with “Roll & Lick” and “Carousel Rampage” is highly influenced by 90’s rave sound and will bring your mind right onto the dancefloor of your favorite club or warehouse. On the B-Side, “XXX” maintains the rave flavour but this time the approach is deeper and more hypnotic. Finally XXX gets a re-built by Gonzo MDF who adds his characteristic aggressive & fast paced sound.

So, yes, you will hear it at any good warehouse party this year… and don’t forget to call them Rude.

A bottom end as deep as you like combines with razor-sharp percussion on this basement techno workout. The sound design of 'black science (version)' warps the bleep techno blueprint into a swaggering half time roller before 'black science' itself arrives. This dramatic piece merges tense, Millsian atmospherics with stratospheric strings to create a timeless piece of expansive sci-fi techno. The filth-ridden 'debris', a bottom-heavy groove for those of a serious disposition, rounds off another killer four track salvo of techno futurism from this on-point label.

Woo York - I Am Against

Following their ongoing relationship with Soma Records, Ukrainian duo Woo York are set to release their new record that proves to be somewhat representative of recent dramatic events in their country. Entitled I Am Against, both the main track and the EP itself are referring to the developments that lead to revolutionary struggle of the Ukrainian people. Fighting inequality, saying what you have to say and doing what you have to do seem to be the core ideas of the record. You might have figured that out yourself by spotting a rebel protester from January's clash with riot police depicted on the record sleeve. The EP also features a special remix from UK Techno producer, Ø (Phase).

Music-wise the EP presents the same idea: the epic energy of the title track highlights the drive that was fuelling peaceful individuals to go out onto the streets and fight for their rights. An excellent remix from Ø (Phase) follows a similar path, although in its own original way that has made the UK-based artist's name associated with the finest techno to date. Closing the EP 'In The End' is a more abstract side of Woo York's music works that reminds us once again: every single act of violence is bound to come to an end at some point.

Orlando B - Foreversong

Orlando B returns with a timeless track, ‘Foreversong’ for the sixth installment on his ‘Contemplate Recordings’ label.

Running in at just over 10 minutes, ‘Foreversong’ is an emotive “tour de force” showcasing his love for nostalgic, ‘Detroit’ influenced melodies and tugging string lines. With its uplifting vibe and atmospheric breakdown, ‘Foreversong’ is the perfect “end of the night” track.

‘New Day’ kicks off the B-Side with an uplifting piano house intro’ and a cheeky oldskool vocal sample. The arrangement builds gradually before the kick and bass line drop, taking it to the next level.

Closing track ‘Dark Place’ goes down a stripped back techno route to compliment the first two melodic house tracks. The main riff was born out of a jam session, playing around with a twisted hypnotic synth line which mutates throughout keeping the listener locked in. Muted percussion and a subby bass sound give this track a dark warehouse vibe, ideal for moody clubs around the land.

24/H
18.11.2019

"Acropolis EP" is the first vinyl release of 24/H, an independent record label based at Tempio Del Futuro Perduto (the Temple Of The Lost Future), a relatively new cultural space & club in Milan.

The label was founded by Alessandro Vaccari (aka Marthial), young Italian artist and DJ resident of the Temple, with the aim to invite emerging and renowned artists to reside within its studio and dormitory spaces and craft a release within 24 hours of time.
In this release, Stanislav Tolkachev showcases his well-known personal attitude and dark production style which let him earn the reputation of techno genius. The Temple hosted Stanislav Tolkachev’ artist residence for eleven days, in order to contribute to the label's mission. After selecting the equipment and making some changes to the studio, the artist began his 24-hours journey.

Tolkachev created a complex, well-defined two-tracks pack that result in powerful, destabilizing and impressive narrative, following a non-existing musical path and memories of his past. The release also features a remix by Marthial himself, who reinterpreted Stanislav’s work according to his own style.

24H project was also born as a stimulus for any producer living the spaces of the Temple, as a challenge to bring out the production skills within a certain amount of time and by using specific machines, deprived of the comfort of his own studio.

Through this idea, 24/H creates a union between all the artists who took part in the challenge, each one expressing their own stories and musical interpretation of the label concept. The goal
of the label is also, therefore, to test each artist on equal terms, and thus increasing creativity.

DJ Hank - Traffic Control

On his debut 12" EP, Chicago producer and bike messenger DJ HANK captures the feeling of racing against traffic and, as he puts it, "trying to make it out alive with the chaos of the city going around you."

DJ Hank grew up in North Carolina, Eastern USA. As a teenager, he began making rap beats on pirated music software while also DJing and playing keyboards in experimental punk band Whatever Brains. In 2011, at age 18, Hank moved to Chicago to pursue a career as a bike messenger. In a city dominated by 21+ clubs and venues, Hank gravitated to the famous footwork hub Battlegroundz due to it's all-ages inclusivity and raw energy. DJ Rashad, DJ Spinn and other luminary figures of the footwork community spun weekly, while dancers spanning multiple generations and crews battled it out on the dance floor every Sunday.

Through the underground network of Chicago footwork events, Hank became a close and frequent collaborator with international footwork collective Teklife. He has released music on Teklife's record label but isn't a member of the group itself. In similar fashion, he's loosely affiliated with dance group Take Ova Gang (TOG) founded by DJ Manny. Hank maintains a fluid relationship with the footwork culture from which his sound draws. Beyond collaborating with his friends, Hank has collaborated with Chilean rapper Catana, Berlin-based DJ Paypal, and Floridian DJ Orange Julius.

On "Traffic Control," however, Hank explores a wide range of sounds, from melodic to experimental, influenced by everything from UK Garage and Grime to Ghetto House and Snap music (or Southern Hip hop production in general). Artists like Kode9, MachineDrum, and Sherelle have been supporters of Hank's music, playing his tracks throughout multiple recorded sets. In a live setting, Hank has shared the stage with such influential acts as Loefah, DJ Deeon, Sporting Life, DJ Spinn, Traxman, and pioneering footwork artist Jana Rush, who has been both a friend and mentor to Hank during his formative years in Chicago.
