Ricardo Garduno is back home with another fantastic EP, after waiting for more then a year, when Ricardo Garduno released “Edge” along incredible remixes from Jeroen Search, the Mexican Techno Producer now present us his brand new Vinyl EP called “Feeding The Apathy”, a four track EP showcasing some different sounds, textures and intensities, powerful dance floor material is what this record is. We are also delighted to give a warm welcome on Illegal Alien to one of the most respectable and admirable Artist that has a deserved place in the history of Techno music, it’s a true honor to have the Spanish legend Oscar Mulero joining this release with an outstanding remix of the EP title track.

Founder of Illegal Alien Records, Mexican born and raised Ricardo Garduno, is one of the most influential figures in the global techno scene. Ricardo has been an anchor for Ucker since we started, so we selected him to kick off a new series called Particles.

In this selection we can appreciate how versatile and talented creator he is. Stellar Mantle is a downtempo piece that sets up the tone of this galactic journey with a solid bass and a floating melodic arrangement.

The intention to create a hypnotic atmosphere can be clearly perceived in tracks such as The Skinny Girl and Day Zero, where the simple effective loopy structures are driven by melodies, creating a mental approach towards techno.

I like working at my studio in the night time. Silence around me is an endless source of inspiration. Sometimes I become part of the silence and sometimes I have to shout to fight against it. My studio is my voice, my primal scream. These tracks are live recordings from my nocturnal studio sessions. There probably wasn’t any goal or aim when I was working on these tracks. These pieces came together from various paths and different origins. Man controlling machines. Chaos refined to something that you can save as a file or put a needle on.

No Way Records celebrates its 5th anniversary with a double 12” anthology of pure physical techno, defined by dark and crepuscular atmospheres that pays homage to 1975’s Dario Argento’s masterpiece “Profondo Rosso”. The first vinyl is purely dedicated to the energetic Sardinian scene, opened up by DJ Datch and Andrea Cossu’s sharp yet cosmic sounds. Past Inside The Present co-founder Isaac Helsen - a multi-disciplinary artist from Michigan, creating photography and paintings as well as music - in action on this double cassette alone after a string of collaborations with labelmate 36 and fellow label co-founder zake. Helsen's sound works on a grand (electronically) orchestral scale at times, the proverbial cathedrals of sound coming to mind, at others (see 'Duniskwalgunyi') understated and intimate. On first listen, it's the simpler moments like 'Whisper At A Party' that grab you, but the 17 track selection slowly reveals itself to be quite special on repeated rotations.

Representing the final part to the first series of releases we present none other than Mr. Quenum. A veteran French/Swiss producer who has released some of the most forward thinking and abstract, cerebral material available.

Sanna Mun debuts on her imprint, Katabasis, with a three techno cut EP (vinyl & digital).

Sanna Mun is an interdisciplinary artist based in Berlin. Her approach to production is inspired by her work as an archaeologist, using digital modeling and field recordings of ancient sites to extract their psychoacoustics. Sanna's multifaceted sound ranges from ambient to mental and classic techno. Her sense for organically evolving motifs drives her live sets, which resolve to induce a state of meditation. Sanna's music has already received support from O Phase, Developer, and other mainstay techno names.

Katabasis started out as an experimental techno event at Sameheads in Neukolln, Berlin in collaboration with local musicians and visual artists. The vision behind the project is to springboard underrepresented artists reinventing minimal, hypnotic and early techno. Its name and imagery derive from Western esotericism, rooted in Sanna's experience as an archaeologist specializing in occult sciences. The label's first release features tracks exploring Pythagoras' musica universalis, planetary frequencies informed by her studies with Luz Peuscovich.

Dropping on Rekids this May, Butch remixes 'Good Luck' - Basement Jaxx's ubiquitous 2004 single featuring Lisa Kekaula.

Appearing on 'Kish Kash', Basement Jaxx's third studio album, the unforgettable single was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Dance Recordings category and also reached number 12 on the UK Singles Chart and number 2 on Hot Dance Club Play in the US. 'Good Luck' also featured as the opening theme of 2004 anime movie Appleseed, Victoria's Secret fashion show in 2003 and 2005, and a version without lyrics was used for the opening sequence of BBC's UEFA Euro 2004.

Real name Bu¨lent Gu¨rler, German producer Butch has been a formidable force within house and techno for over two decades, enchanting crowds from all across the globe with his technical performances. Highly regarded for producing compelling grooves, his releases have appeared on labels like Desolat, Cocoon,
Rekids and Sei Es Drum, not to mention collaborating alongside Virginia, C. Vogt and Ricardo Villalobos (as Butric).

Receiving regular early support from Villalobos, Butch has provided three different renditions of 'Good Luck' and the 'Remix' is a rhythmic roller from the off, featuring numerous elements from the original whilst generating a cacophony of percussion as Kekaula's iconic voice is chopped and looped - the result is highoctane and geared for the dancefloor. The 'Dub' strips things back, purely using segments of the vocal for instrumental purposes as a whirring bassline joins deep synths and mesmerising effects. Tying it all together, the 'Drum Tool' is a high-tempo percussive cut produced for peaktime DJ sets.

A brand new majestic addition to our catalogue, this time a mental Split by two experienced producers. On One side Cossmos (The Untold Stories) pair of original beats and breaks, Acid timbres and galactic soundscapes for higher educated dancefloors.

Re-release for the first time on vinyl for this album originally from 2004 on Daft Records. “Behind The Sun” marked the return of Dirk Ivens after five years focused on other projects (The Klinik and Sonar). This time in collaboration with the Spanish musician Rafael M. Espinosa (Geistform) and with production skills of Eric van Wonterghem (Monolith, Insekt). All gained experience by Dirk shapes this album in a perfect way and the Dive-typical sobriety is not long in coming on every track with a sense of electronic menace, shown through a blaze of squeaks, hisses and subliminal aggressiveness. “Behind The Sun” is a first class work and Mr. Ivens once again confirms his exceptional position in the EBM-industrial scene.

We all remember with mixed feelings the past two years of domestic isolation: a temporary anomaly in which the world had to adjust to a new routine, a new rhythm. In these daunting yet precious circumstances, Italian producer Markeno has found his rhythm back, dusting off old records and re-approaching his past musical love affairs that he believed to be long forgotten. Here, in the fertile limbo that connects past and future, “Dock lown (exploring)” is born: a 3-tracker release with a chameleonic nature and an undeniable groove, in which Markeno is able to tactfully combine different genres such as indie, post-rock, African mu- sic, electro and funk.

In the contemporary music scene, overly saturated with catchy melodies and seductive lyrics, it is refreshing to encounter a composition like “Fase 01”, which starts from a purely percussive structure. Just when the ear is settled and well inserted into the tangle of drums, here comes the melodic twist, no less than at the fourth minute, injecting an unexpected groove and chalking out the contours of a track with multiple personalities: a little esoteric, a little synth-wave, quirky and badass. The temperature rises with “Zona Ros- sa”, in which the electro hint sketched in “Fase 01” becomes more pronounced, opening the doors to a dense psychedelic scenario. A shamanic loop accompanies the electric bass and escorts us through the smoke of the bonfire, veils swayed by the wind and colored lights that sparkle in the night. The ritualistic humming of ‘’Zona Rossa”’ is still hearable, floating in the rarefied atmosphere, while the last track “Limbo” makes its entrance and confirms once again the poliedric but congruous essence of this release, whose percussive attitude lures you in and whose hypnotic and groovy body makes you stay. At least for one more dance.

Following outings on Rinse FM and HOR, German producer Rove Ranger takes aim on the next release of Lobster Theremin’s full-blooded techno assault; 4 very different cuts of pulsating, bass-driven techno that have one eye in the rear view mirror and the other firmly fixated ahead.

‘CS80’ is an aquatic, rhythmic experience; bubbling with blues, greens and pinks in a techno climate so often associated with grey. A beautiful blend of the new and old school. Tough, but with a touch of soul. ‘Millennial Millenium’ is a blissful trip through neighbouring underworlds and spirit hollows, unrelenting kicks and ghostly atmospherics crafting a cut of psychedelic graveyard techno.

‘La Manana’ is more of a heads-down affair. Punchy bass accompanies the kicks on a track that instantly captivates; less concerned with emotion and more with increasing heart rates; it's a tripped-out, bouncy experience that screams fun. The EP is rounded off with ‘Horse On Acid’. Have you ever seen a horse on acid? We have, and this is exactly what it sounded like.

Just a cool techno EP. Efficient and sobre. Autoprod !

The vizcacha is an animal rodent with nocturnal habits, typical of the Argentine plains, with extensive nocturnal outings that depart from dusk until the next morning. Living in the shadows, where they can only escape at night, a lonely life dodging hunters.

Yiannis Iliakis is a multi instrumentalist and composer from Athens. He is mainly known as a drummer. As such he is a member of the free jazz band Outward Bound as well as a member of the successful Greek progressive rock band Ciccada. However, that's only one side of Iliakis' creative efforts. In April 2021, he released his first full length electronic album entitled Vertical Horizon on the Submersion Records, which mostly is an ambient work. Now, with Mountainmouth he opens another chapter for his musical talents.

The EP is one of the most thrilling and adventurous takes on what the IDM term usually would suggest. The key song might be the title track "Mountainmouth" - an extremely energetic composition which won't leave you unaffected. As per most of Iliakis' songs it is based on originally recorded drums that were heavily edited. In the next step, these were combined with chords, melodies, bass and harmonies on top. The musical result is simply breathtaking - one might even call this track electronica for prog-rock heads. Surely a perfect opener for the release.

The next song is Carbonated Soap on which Iliakis is going straight forward. The catchy melody and a fresh uptempo beat are offering something that could even fit well into a club-friendly DJ set. Next up, comes "Infected Walkman". According to Iliakis, it was the first one he made for this project when he participated in an art exhibition. This track, as well as the following "Sad Plants", are both down tempo and chilled, yet keeping an experimental vibe without loosing a soulful and human touch. Coming closer to the end, "Exodus Denied" is a brilliant experimental ambient piece, more similar to the works on the Vertical Horizon LP. Finally, the EP ends with a short edit of "Carbonated Soap" that jumps right to the more energetic parts after the first break.

Mountainmouth may not be an easy listen at start - but we are sure the music has the power to be another classic release from our catalogue. The EP will be released in July 2022 on a very limited 12" vinyl as well as digitally. The cover artwork was done by Iliakis himself. We are very excited to present a new artist to you on Equinox with so many different talents.

The “A.N.E.P” release consists of three tracks which transcend you to the world of Keramati, quirky electro, splashes of acid and rave themes throughout. The A1. “A.P” is built upon crunchy and mechanical movements, laced with trippy tones throughout. Sinister synths melt together creating an illuminated atmosphere for the chugging body of the track to continue its drive forward. “Ecliptic” sits comfortably as the A2, an elasticated simmering bass line stirring
around the dusty nostalgic drums, before switching up into a bubbling groove and acid whirlpool. Taking up the whole B side is “A Never Ending Pattern” a gripping nine minute quest that showcases
Kamyar’s signature production energy. The track continues to develop throughout as many curious elements and textures are invited to the table, each of them conversing with the other. A huge sounding track that will light up club and festival spaces in the coming period.

Returning for 2019 with our first 12-inch release, Made in Green Records concludes Rooteo & Mahura’s opening salvo, with reinterpretations from the artists themselves and the label head putting their marks on already-outstanding material. Leading off the release, we find the original ‘Caxixi’ from their debut LP, Mettā, with its tablas and vocals rubbing against billowing clouds of bass and dubwise effects; Made in Green boss Vasco Ispirian turns in the first rework, a thickly layered, relaxed tempo dub techno trip. Barely- recognizable remnants of the original’s percussion and vocal lines occasionally surface out of the subaquatic haze before surging kick drums push them back beneath the surface. Appearing here under his recently-birthed 4NYØN3 project, Rooteo, best known as Marcos In Dub, closes the release with a pounding techno remake that utterly transforms his own & Mahura’s work. Squashing the original’s ambient sonics into unstable delay traps that reappear prominently in the breakdowns, he grafts this into stringent techno, adroitly wrought and with details to spare, the scrambled fragments of sound emerging between heavy drums and contributing to the dark and downcast mood that pervades the piece.

The healing energy of pure childish joy permeates the universe and balances all in existance. As dawn approaches she returns to bed and earth's inhabitants start their routines like a production line. Reminiscent of the Indonesian gamelan (one of Dangirl's lifetime musical inspirations) we are taken on a meditative journey, with haunting bells and dreamy frequencies revealing unfamiliar worlds but maintaining a sense of peaceful slumber. Resting in the womb. Our home. Nap is Over mix is a collaboration of the Wai aka Dangirl and Ghost Foreigner aka DemoDc which when the two unite, form Ghost N the Wai. This track manifested when the Wai asked for Ghost’s feedback on her ambient piece When the world sleeps. After a day of Ghost having it in his grasp, Nap is Over was born effortlessly, giving insight into the power that simmers beneath the surface of these two aspiring artists. The Wai, with her deep, still, meditative grace brings contemplative composition along with Ghost bringing organic yet organised chaotic experimental beats. As the cost of living in Manhattan proper moved artist minded migration patterns further afield, places like East Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Ridgewood became post-cultural centers in a way, with producer after producer gaining international recognition in the last 10+ years. New clubs such as Nowadays, Knockdown Center, and Elsewhere furthered the momentum, anchored by first mover Bossa Nova, and important festivals like Mutual Dreaming and Dweller came soon after.

Collectively, the stage was set for a beautiful moment in electronic music history, still unfolding, and maybe something that could only happen in the States in a place like Brooklyn.

With 44 releases across 12 years since its inception, Butane's infamous Alphahouse imprint closes its doors this June as he welcomes long time colleagues and friends Alexi Delano and Worldline to shape up the final EP on the label 'Omega'.

Having established the imprint back in 2005, Andrew Rasse aka Butane's Alphahouse has served as an example of unapologetic underground quality and curation for over a decade. With previous releases from the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Ryan Crosson, Ion Ludwig, Quenum, Mark Broom and of course Rasse himself, the final Alphahouse EP welcomes back another staple of the imprints success, Chilean Alexi Delano, and mysterious American talent Worldline who marks his debut on the label.

The A-side sees Delano and Rasse effortlessly re-combine and pick up where they left off in 2013. 'Bass Theory' is an energetic, blooming production that lays the focus on raw crunchy drum licks, chunky bass slabs and an ever- evolving melody that eases listeners into a state of trance, before 'Jazz Lick' reveals a lighter aesthetic with a delicate jazz-infused lead line, filtered vocal loops and crisp organic percussion that hold the production in sync.

On the flip Butane is joined by a new collaborator, Los Angeles-based underground fashion designer Worldline for two brooding cuts. 'How Deep' kicks things off showcasing eerie low ends layered beneath tripped out vocals and hypnotic, meandering chords. 'What We Do' wraps up the esteemed Alphahouse catalog in style. An underground manifesto with a trademark Butane groove and Wordline's vocals punctuating over a decade of work. That's a wrap.

In true Alphahouse style, Rasse signs off here alongside two extremely talented artists with an EP that radiates understated sophistication and intricacy throughout, whilst opening the door to his new project 'Extrasketch' in the most fitting and suitable way imaginable. Side A of this white vinyl consists of one original mix - Sub Constienta - with an uplifting baseline, with industrial background textures complete with mesmerizing synths that make your body vibrate to the groove.

On Side B, Swing Altfel is a track that tells the story differently, taking the listener on a long journey thru the sound. Just like the exquisite painting of painter Leonid Afremov, the track it self has many sounds combining one on top of the other in a progressive release of the right amount of joyful vibe; with passages and percussions mixed with tweaked vocals, giving this track the perfect rithm.

Rotterdam based artist ''Ben Buitendijk'' has been around for quite a while now. With a string of releases of labels such as ''Ogun Records'', ''Eshu Records'' and appearances on the mighty ''Field Records'', the time has come for Ben to launch his own imprint. Inspired by the city of Rotterdam and his love for anything architectural, Oblique was founded. A label that is designed to cater to Ben's vision on the overall electronic landscape and to display his love for well thought out drum patterns with dense long-stretched builds and strained atmospheres.

''Venomous EP'' comes in a package of three extended techno cuts with a certain corresponding theme. As the title might suggest, all cuts have a certain
touch of hazardousness to them.

''Black Mamba'' is best explained as the experience of poison slowly creeping through one's veins and leaving an irreversible trail of destruction.

''King Cobra'' feels more boisterous than it's predecessor. Again, a long repetitive build keeps on changing into a slightly psychotic state of being while razor-sharp bits of synthesis tickle the listeners brain like when undergoing acupuncture.

''Stingray'' is the final cut of this first ''Oblique'' effort. Whilst maintaining the corresponding ''Venomous'' theme, the last endeavour is a thumping outcry of muscular drums, a ponderous bass shot, and haunting pad sounds that together create a dystopian character. As an extra, Ben has thrown in an ominous locked groove that should be useful in adventurous club settings.

One sure thing about featuring Dan Goul in a MixCult release is that his music will always be big on emotion. Next up, “Upon Descent EP” edifices those delicious sounds that those star floating dancers are pulled to. The classy and sensual beats keep always under construction, making the range of the tracks infinitely expandable over time. This release is a very versatile DJ tool, but certainly for those who like to keep it graceful.
