The next part of Mr Raoul K's album 'Still Living In Slavery'. It is delivered in a picture sleeve that will hold all three records and will also look very good on your record shelf. Musicwise, the first side features all three chapters of 'Dounougnan Magni' stretched over almost eighteen minutes. Pure afrofunk bliss with beautiful keyboards played by Kuniyuki Takahashi. The track also features the vocal talents of Hamed Sosso who accompanies the listener throughout his journey. An emotional trip, starting in hot desert plain and ending on cloudy hilltops. The line 'En ye bori la dounougnou ko, saya la en ko' means: 'We are chasing the good life but death is chasing us'. There is nothing we can do in life that prevents us from being outrun in the end. The flipside opens with the Mr Raoul K & Laolu Version of 'Sene Kela'. A summery groover with a prominent Balafon melody, a driving bassline and beautiful vocals by Sona Diabate. Reminds the listener of sundrenched landscapes or terraces without being too relaxed to dance to it. The record closes with two parts of 'Enchained Tribe' - a track inspired by war dances of the Massai tribe. It shows a rolling groove with dominating percussion led by the sound of the 'Water Kalebasse' - a dried pumpkin filled with water. As soon as the flutes kick in, it's all about letting yourself loose and get lost in the groove. Enjoy.

El Rudo Del House is an imaginary creature who speaks to you with a pitched-down voice and produces heavy house rhythms that are engineered to directly trigger the movement of different body parts (body mechanics). This instalment features the second mask in this series of releases that were beautifully crafted by Cómeme's artwork creator Sarah Szczesny. Each release of El Rudo del House features a mask. "(These masks) are characters that allow anonymity and freedom,' El Rudo states, and have the power to evoke spirits at your celebrations'. Also in keeping with the body movements evoked by the music, the cover of each release features images with dance poses in Rudo' costume (also designed by Szczesny) which show the different moves related to each release.

In the previous episode: one Queen of Hearts (Catherine Ringer) and two Aces of Spades (Müller + Makaroff) played a game of tango with shades of rock : Plaza Francia. It's beena triumph of leather bound with red velvet. These two worlds have gotten to know each other pretty well. It would have been easy to quickly put out a live album of the tour, and tempting to remix the studio album too. But to mix these two events into one, that's unheard of: it's an audacious venture to rework (and recompose) in a studio the songs recorded live. That's how seven pieces recorded in public on a multitrack were surgically dissected while retaining the live energy and handed over to expert remixers. Chico Sonido and Centavrvs. Sonido comes from digital cumbia and revamped two tracks from the original repertoire with aerial dub, while the Centavrvs collective, who practice a more poppy brand of electro but were bred with regional music (locale) and psychedelic Peruvian music from the 60's, offered the Señora Ringer a comfortable roots and amber setting. The German duo Wolfsburg Pupkulies & Rebecca were also called to service and gave the song 'La Mision' a Berlin shade, sombre and dancefloor till the break of dawn. There are also two remixes signed by Roy Dubb, mystery remixer who is in fact no other than... Christoph Müller, one of the three from Plazia Francia, who has been remixing tracks for years, either in his pre-Gotan Project phase

Collecting orders for a repress! A special record originated from a special day. MR. G's spree to Detroit's Movement festival ended at the notorious Need I Say More Matinee. Held yearly in the backyard of the reputable veteran's club The Old Miami and helmed by a promoter's crew named Visionquest it cultivates debauchery and fine music. Back home, MR. Just as the Surrealists congregated at Rue Blomet, or how CBGB became inextricably linked to the birth of punk, a flat in SE London across the street from a stall selling karelas, edoes and those frighteningly large snails, has become the epicentre of an exciting undercurrent of new and unorthodox British producers. From within the confines of their home studios, the inhabitants of --- Rye Lane have been crafting a sound that channels Jay Dee as much as the street bustle outside their bedroom windows, and are garnering support from Gilles Peterson, Lefto and Kutmah in the process.
New tracks from Reginald Omas Mamode IV, Sunshine and Moneymaker ,turn around dusty stabs of guitar and Madlib-esque beats. A homage to good weather and a cautionary tale for superficial woman, the tracks also feature his supine and natural one-take vocals. These songs are reprised with the help of brother Jeen Bassa and childhood friend Al Dobson Jr, fresh from releases on IZWID and Rhythm Section, with additional vocals added for good effect. It showcases the collaborative spirit of this collective, their shared influences and their deeply individual ticks.

In 2000, Theo Parrish released his second full album, Parallel Dimensions, on his own Sound Signature label. 4 Years later S.A.'s Ubiquity issued the tracks from the CD version, and repackaged the album on a quality 2LP pressing (plus again on CD). It was around this time (2004) that Theo was being picked up a much wider audience and reaching notable acclaim outside the House circles in which he'd already firmly established himself. This could be seen as the album that brought Theo Parrish into many people's consciousness. This pivotal album has, up to now, been out of print and highly sort after - We are very pleased to announce this full re-issue from Ubiquity Records. TIP!

There are lots of producers out there who try really hard to do "something else". Then, there are these chosen few artists that effortlessly are "something else" in their own right. Durian Brothers and their magical array of modified turntables, sequencers and machines belong in this selected circle. So this mini album is a quite special and unconventional release, but that doesn't mean it's not dance music - quite the opposite! It just means it's perfect for Kontra-Musik. Labeled DAS MACHT MODERN, one would perhaps expect cold, intellectual sounds reminiscent of steel, glass and silicon, but on the contrary, the soundscape rather lends itself to feverish fantasies about the explorations of ancient cultures and malaria-stricken jungle expeditions. Listen to Oni Baba, for example: You can actually see the shadows from franticly dancing bodies flickering across the torch-lit walls of Angkor Wat. Or take the slow but decidedly sweaty Weggeputscht, in which you can clearly sense this pervading play between sounds and rhythms that stem from crumbling temples, huts and bonfires and the modern, yet analog sounds from altered machines. In fact, this mini album is so soaked in organic movement and compulsive rhythms that it should probably be tried out as a experimental treatment for coma patients. We dare you not to dance!

Hubie Davison returns to Leisure System December 1st, 2014 with the Khayyam Grey EP, his second release for the Berlin-based label and one that marks both his and Leisure System's funkiest output to date.Following on his 2013 debut of pastoral electronics and muffled house, Khayyam Grey highlights Davison's vivid production skills, drawing from a deep well of influences varying from Werkdiscs and Sound Signature to Bill Withers and Otis Redding. The three tracks here are also the strongest representative document yet of the 26-year-old Davison's DJing, which incorporates all manner of memorable house and assorted wonkiness and has seen him play in Panorama Bar, Corsica Studios, and Gaité Lyrique in Paris amongst numerous others.The title track takes cues from Daphni's stand-up-and-shout, sample-heavy house, while "Get On" is a comparatively restrained yet incredibly funky mid-tempo number. Superb double A-sided 12' from TEC Records, reissuing two of the rarest and most sought-after tracks ever released on the tiny US disco label. First up is super-funky Cosmic groover 'J'Ouvert', from John Gibbs with The Jam Band, As you'd expect from the title, this track has more than a nod to Carnival a with tropical feel and traditional steel drums but in a weird spaced-out disco arrangement that made this a favourite at David Mancuso's infamous Loft as well as on the afro-funky scene. On the flip, we have the mighty 'Freakin' Time' from MFSB and Salsoul Orchestra rhythm maestro Keith Benson. Originally split into Parts 1 and 2 and released on 2 sides of a 7' and 12', here the two tracks are seamlessly edited together for maximum long-playing dancefloor impact. Not much is known about Lithuania's Corbie besides that he's classically trained, composes music for children's theater productions, and avoids plug-ins and samples. He solicited Nuearth Kitchen with demos and impressed us enough to merit a 12-inch single containing two tracks remixed from his unreleased e.motion.s album by two of the world's most slyly subversive house producers: DJ Sprinkles (Terre Thaemlitz) and Juju & Jordash.

The original 'Arktika' is a fantasia of lush, romantic synth washes and suavely understated beats that could've come off Roxy Music's Avalon. The tone is richly decadent. 'Sprinkles' Deeperama' reconfigures it into an even more libidinous and elegant tribal-house excursion. This version repeatedly thrusts itself into your mind and musculature with earthy yet debonair insistence. The track's effervescence never falters over its 12 minutes.

Since its foundation in 1997 Jazzanova always had a big following in Japan. And theintercultural exchange with the Japanese DJ scene has been brisk ever since. However, now for the very first time a remix 12inch jam-packed with works by artists from the land of the rising sun.In collaboration with Especial Records (Kyoto Massive member Yoshihiro Okino's label) four remixes for 'Now There Is We', Jazzanova's last single, had been commissioned. Starting things off is Kuniyuki Takahashi, producer and sound designer from Sapporo. The Future Jazz apostle bends and breaks - Now There Is We' until he puts down an impelling jazz piano accompanied track which would even bring tears to the late Frankie Knuckle's eyes.A completely different approach is applied by Mano Arriba (Spanish for - Hands up!'): Under his direction the song mutates to become a carnival-compliant salsa rhythm. Absolutely striking!

He thought for quite some time about to shift the African instruments and African rhythm structures that uses in his production processs into a more dominant, more exposed position. Giving them a role of there own and freeing them from being bound to a groove coined by a four-to-the-floor kickdrum. While using dominating drumsounds when producing records aimed for the dancefloor seemed reasonible , they weren't needed for the storytelling concept throughout this album and are left to the accompanying remixes. Remixes will be released as vinyl and download. As usual, Mr Raoul K works together with artists heading from Africa. Here, Hamed Sosso, Sona Diabate, Batakali A.K. Tenekdash and Adama Conde present their skills. His friend Kuniyuki Takashi demonstrates his talent to play the flute and provides some piano too. This album deals with aspects of inner and outer slavery. It is known that people - wether knowingly or not - often get into habits that start to limit their possibilities and narrow their view. Slavery is no longer people put in chains by others, but people put in chains by themselves. But only one group of the enchained will admit to their chain. Mr Raoul K's other concern is to share traditional African grooves and sounds with an audience that hasn't experienced this kind of music before.

"The Lost Mixes" returns to the label for it's second instalment and this time round it's remixes of Nic Fanciulli that are on offer.

First up on the A side is Paul Ritch's remix of Nic & Rolando's collab from 2011. The remix has only featured on Nic's Balance comp which was out earlier this year and is now finally available for all. Over on the flip is an intelligent remix from up & coming American artist Lauren Lane where she gives the track a real deep, trippy makeover.

The release will also be available on limited vinyl through the SavedLTD series.

going to be out Well, here it is now , the two 'zombies' Cosmic Neman and Etienne Jaumet finally sign their first film music
for the first feature film from director , Narimane Mari, " Loubia Hamra " ("Bloody Beans"), to be released in spring 2014. And
we found them there, where we do not expect, because it's not a horror movie, but a free movie, a journey of a group of
children from a district of Algiers during the war of Algeria, who becomes aware of life and death.Director Narimane Mari talks
about her experience with Zombie Zombie and creation of the soundtrack for her movie:"I really wanted the music to be as
blood flow of images and that is what it is. Sharp, dull, full of strange noises, inner or surging, harmonious or disturbed by
noise disorder, which allows to read beyond the visual narrative. We are in the bowels of childhood and it shakes us up when
we let our-selves be takeover by the living: the profusion. I didn't want to make a movie where psychology and reason rule
and dominate until our senses are weakened, but a movie that we experience with the body and it is them who made it
possible, this total immersion. "

This twelve-inch is the first in triple that will make up the vinyl version of Mr Raoul Ks album 'Still Living In Slavery' - his first album on his own label. The second twelve-inch will be release in a picture sleeve that will be able to hold all three records. Recently, Mr Raoul K started to add some kind of soundtrackesque touch to his tracks. On this release, this development is represented by 'Intelligent Revolution' - an epic thirteen minute plus rollercoaster ride of a track without any dominant kickdrum. Traditional African instruments fuel an irresistible groove that keeps pulling you in and in. Don't take anything for granted and stay alert. That is what the Peul-Flute melody keeps saying over and over - never losing its groove or its grip and keeping on pushing. On the flipside, veteran producer Ron Trent flexes his remix muscle on 'Sene Kela' and applies his trademark warm deephouse sound to this vocal driven track. The catchy vocal is accompanied by a very lively baseline and some strings to keep the dancers' feet moving. Up next is Simbads treatment of Dounougnan Magni (Chapitre 3) - a track that features Kuniyuki Takahashi on piano and Sossoba Keita on vocals. The remix pushes this already dynamic track even further and heads toward a climax that melts European and African soundscapes into an outburst of pure dancefloor magic. Enjoy.

Like the parent label, Optimo Trax will release music by new artists and excavate forgotten classics.
Optimo Trax is an offshoot label of Optimo Music for tracks aimed at DJs/dancefloors. Yes, we know there are too many record labels already, but we felt an overriding desire to start another one as so much music that didn't seem quite right for Optimo Music (i.e. music that was specifically designed for dancing) kept coming our way. Like the parent label, Optimo Trax will release music by new artists and excavate forgotten classics.


Michele Mininni is from Southern Italy where he says people are not interested in his type of music so he was forced to reach out to Glasgow where it turns out some people most defintely are. Citing his influences as kraut, post rock, new wave and electronic amongst others, this is his debut release and most accomplished it is too. Lowering the tempo somewhat compared with previous OT releases, Tupolev Love is a sub 100bpm cosmic trancer while Telekomdisko raises the tempo and heads off into sun drenched space territory. The EP is completed by Michele's fellow countrymen, Boot & Tax's great acid-inflected remix of Tupolev Love.

Following their successfull release "SALINAS" (Pacha Recordings), Bedrud & Giese start through with another euphoric club-filler in their very own style of deep but pushing tech-house: "AFRICAN CHILD" (rotfenstermusik) stays to its name and lets african child choirs meet deep bass, fat percussions and a mincing piano above.

Mr Raoul K kept this track a long time in his drawer. He always felt that something was missing. And he didn't want to put out a track he wasn't feeling comfortable with. During a visit of Kuniyuki in Mr Raoul K's studio, he played the track to him. After Kuniyuki proposed some new ideas, they decided to finish the track and release under their new alias Double K... They have come up with an atmospheric sixteen minute journey with constantly changing atmosphere. Starting off softly, almost tiptoe-ing 'Esprit De La Jungle' begins an expedition into the inner jungle. Accompanied by Kuniyuki's subtle flute and keyboards and graced with Wiltrud Weber's awesome vocals, the track provides constantly changes its mood and is full of surpises. Expect the unexpected after every turn. Mr Raoul K's beats blend in very slowly and do not take over until the very end. In January the debut album 'The Damage Is Done' by Hot Coins,
the disco crossbreed project by Danny Berman (best known for
his house productions as Red Rack'em), was released. His
personal time machine journey into the sights and sounds of
downtown New York sometime around the late seventies/early
eighties is much more than a tribute to his heroes of those times. It's
also a brilliant examination of today's club music.

Originally released in 1996 on Harthouse with a Villalobos remix 'Trommelmaschine Reconstructed' 2012 hit's daylight and turns its attention to the importance of electronic music classics. Together with Index ID, Andreas Krüger forms the producer duo DER DRITTE RAUM - one of the first acts signed to Sven Väth's label and being responsible for international charted tracks like HALE BOPP, TROMMELMASCHINE, WELLENBAD amongst others. The current backcatalogue release is a re-orientation within the current and classic techno map and is thus setting new standards. On the A side, we see TOBY DREHER who created a great and perfect DJ tool that has enormous power on the dancefloor. Dominik Eulberg and Gabriel Ananda are established artists and are now preparing to convince the rest of the community with their remix of 'Trommelmaschine'.B2 is reconstructed by co/pilot INDEX ID. His Playlove Mix is deep and beautiful as the majority of his work and has been produced with awesome effect. All in all we see 3 brand-new versions of TROMMELMASCHINE on a 12 plus exclusive bonus remixes by Alexander Kowalski & Fenin.

Da Soul Revival Classics Vol 1 presents two gems from the Tyree Cooper canon and ensures the newly established Chicago Vinyl Records operation launches in fine style. Brandishing one of house music's most distinctive voices as well as an enviable discography and endlessly energetic style, Cooper's contribution to Chicago House cannot be disputed. The label delve into Cooper's Dancemania contributions on the A Side, plucking out the B Side bump of "Kan I Get High" which originally saw release on his 1997 Future Recooped 12" for the iconic imprint. Flip over and Cooper's dedication to all the stars of Chicago "Tyz 'N' Da Middle" gets a much needed airing having first appeared back in 1995 on Quick Release Records.

Paradise Club Recordings are due to serve up another eclectic EP later this month - their first selection of what they have in store for
2013 - and it's one that furthers the label's trend of showcasing the many different styles at their disposal from their current roster.
Label stalwart Jabru kicks things off with 'Last Days of Rome', an aptly-titled cut that begins by traipsing through ambient swells and
looms, only to then brew up a truly decadent, central dancehall rhythm. The so-real-you-can-taste-it narrative of featured vocalist and
LV collaborator Joshua Idehen also lends the lyrical side a distinct sense of tangibility that serves to genuinely build upon the track's
woozy atmosphere more and more as the story progresses. Bristol's Hodge is on hand for the remix, and whilst his take is
deceptively similar initially, Jabru's tune is given a much more bass-inclined edge once it drops and it makes for a heart racing affair
by all accounts.
The EP takes a house-driven swerve with the final two tracks - Blacksmif's 'Gavelock' has lasers sniping constantly from one end of
the track to the other, allowing for its gloriously infectious groove to carve its way nice 'n easy straight down the middle. Equipped
with 'Solace State' (a joint effort courtesy of PCR up-and-comers Juno Sutton & MTD) and its jumping melody that blossoms with a
truly sublime vocal break, both tunes utilise many of the tropes associated with the modern house of the moment, and it's safe to say
with the dance world's current fascination on the slightly weirder side of the subgenre at full capacity, finishing the EP off with this
one-two punch was most definitely a damn good idea.

The Italian producers are back with this massive track. Don't miss it, it's a 2010 smash hit for sure!!!

In the southern Indian Ocean all hell has broke loose recently. Some weeks ago the cyclone Dumile lashed the island La Runion. But in the eye of the storm Alex Barck also sweeps one stormer after the other towards club land. For his second preliminary 12inch of his upcoming solo album (Reunion) this time he invited the Swedish exceptionally gifted singer Jonatan Bckelie (hes according to some music press the Scandinavian Jamiroquai) aka Ernesto. Dont Hold Back is an incredibly euphoriant dancefloor anthem that contrary to its title celebrates the coitus interruptus until it hurts.
Or is this how the infamous quiet before the storm feels like Together with keyboard player Kasar from Freiburg Barck ventures on the flipside in a little cutter out on the heavy sea. What they capture as Atmosphere is another milestone in the career of the Berliner temporarily living in exile. This track booms under full sail and embodies the imperative: All hands on deck! Clubhit!
The remix by newcomer VECT from Toulouse slows down the maneuver in a virtuoso manner. Although the assignment of the genre chillwave would be appropriate conceptually, VECT sports a totally novel sound, which you cant pigeonhole at all and is simply just one thing: the future. So we all can scream excitedly: Land, ho! With this second annoucement release for the album Reunion Barck fuels expectations to the fullest. One can be assured though: He will live up to it.
