DAISUKE KONDO from Okayama, Japan, releases a 12' vinyl Rongorongo.' Dynamic rhythm and dubby multi-layered house groove are equipped in side A 1 O-N-RA.' Side A 2 Turn' is a dance track that has tribal rhythm and cosmic scale. On the side B, two cool similar versions remixed by a young genius KEITA SANO, which feel 'raw,' are recorded. He is from Okayama as well, and has released his works from various labels around the world, such as Mister Saturday Night or Crue-L, now attracting a lot of attention. The low sound that sounds like it is boosting speakers feels comfortable. This is a special single produced by two youngsters from the same town.

Viscera is stretched out, bursting and tearing open. Ancient pain, which had crawled deep and crept into the most remote folds of their skin, to be sheltered there by eternal darkness, wails and moans as it coils up.(1) And all of mankind's sorrows howl from the depth of a trumpet: Europe... you nickering ghost! Europe... wretched of the earth!(2)

But who or what rolls and rumbles over there in such an ear-splitting manner A listener's first impression may suggest the enchanted soundscape of a fatigued electronic soloist, but 1115 are a duo: FEHLER KUTI and GREY provide us with a sonic vision that can only emerge from the synthesis of two radical minds. Think of the meetings of Suicide, Yello or The KLF: A pop big bang of conceptual art and bodily music.

The fusion of FEHLER's onomatopoeic vocal tracks and GREY's bass/organ/808-drum machine elements create a unique and original work, an afrofuturistic Musique concrete, which could not be heavier in its psychedelic might. Totally hypnotised, we hear old instruments, lost along an ocean passage. Flutes, spinets and oboes propel themselves through the helium mist out of purgatory towards the light. People Get Ready.

The plot of this supposed instrumental music is, in short, a story of invisibility'(3) - and of how this invisibility, experienced as negation and extinction, is given a visually audible' expression through the invention of a new language.(4)

To be part of all the noise and anguish(5) these two phantasmal sound warlocks gulped(6) down several generations of collective experience across the Black Atlantic (7) to spew out something new: An acid bath(8) of gastric juices lends first contours to the invisible's negative exposures: A thrown-up group photo stretching multiple generations. This musical carcass begins to pulse, and interlinks with overtone choirs and the ephemeral angel dust of deported heavenly children. Thus a new language is born.

It is a way of speaking that resembles the description of a multi-layered(9) or even completely removed(10) graffiti. In fact, it is a description of the existence of humans(11), who live or have lived. Be it in the parallel world of Italian plantations, whose fruits are displayed in supermarkets such as Rewe, Lidl and Tengelmann. Be it in the jungle of Calais(12) . Be it in deportation and social isolation. The European Union, which opened and revealed itself to PoC(13) , does not appear to exist at all.

If we follow 1115(14) down their Underground Railroad(15) , a mythology that becomes more vivid with each station emerges, and takes on a cartographic form. A spatial sculpture made of music! FEHLER KUTI performs the role of the Invisible Stranger - without any use of language in the semantic sense - not in a dissimilar way to Caetano Veloso on Araçá Azul or Miles Davis, though different and novel. Once you understand that Miles Davis did nothing else but tell stories of racism and alienation throughout his career, will you then understand Post-Europe.

Post-Europe is therefore not only music, just as an opera(16) is not only music. Drawn into the deep through subtext and shiftwork, 1115 dive through a stream of electronic music alongside colleagues like Arca and Dean Blunt, Drexicya and Dopplereffekt, as well as Juan Atkins and Moritz von Oswald, Rahsaan Roland Kirk and Sun Ra. But the voices of the libretto belong to the non-musicians and non-artists, the erased and forgotten. The invisibles.

If we listen to the phonograph patiently while playing this music(17) , unheard sounds surface. In time, voices tear off, and become distinct. They say what they need to say. They let others speak. And suddenly there is a space... that unfolds, that speaks. Deep inside it, an ancient lament emerges, wrapped within the invisible words: What did I do to be so black and blue

1115 don't simply play on a stage in front of an audience. They absorb time and space!(18) Last December, they could be experienced at the legendary Alien-Disko-Festival at Munich Kammerspiele.

Post-Europe was produced by Markus Acher and Cico Beck (The Notwist, Joasihno). According to the rules of pop music, this record should not even exist.(19) The sirens are booming. The dance floor is ready. It's just getting started.

Vinyl reissue of 2012 "Psyops For Dummies" with two unreleased tracks: "Hypoalgesia" and "Cognitive Load Theory"Sherard Ingram - DJ STINGRAY - has been an active member in Detroit's electronic music community for nearly 25 years now. Never shy of a collaboration, Ingram spent much of the '90s teaming up with Carl Craig, Anthony 'Shake' Shakir and Kenny Dixon Jr. to create a rich downtempo sound as Urban Tribe, with culminated in the release of 1998's much-lauded The Collapse of Modern Culture album. He was then recruited to be the tour DJ for Drexciya in their final days, taking to the decks as DJ Stingray and masking his face from the audience, something he continues to do for all of his DJ appearances.

No-one else makes music like this: devilishly complex but warm and intuitive, stirring together a dizzying assembly of outernational and outerspace influences, whilst retaining the subby funk-and-hot-breath pressure of Shackleton's soundboy, club roots.The result is an evolutionary, truly alchemical music — great shifting tides of dub, minimalist composition and choral song (Five Demiurgic Options), ritual spells to ward off the darkness (Before The Dam Broke, The Prophet Sequence), radiophonia and zoned-out guitar improv (Seven Virgins), even the febrile, freeform psychedelia of eighties noise rock (Sferic Ghost Transmits / Fear The Crown). Over the five years since Music For The Quiet Hour, Vengeance's vocal and lyrical range has rolled out across this new terrain. Throughout these six transmissions he's hoarse preacher, sage scholar and ravaged bluesman, blind man marching off to war, and exhausted time-traveller warning of impending socio-ecological catastrophe. Six dialogic accounts of our conflicted times, then, expanding beyond the treacly unease of the duo's early collaborative work into something subtler and more emotionally shattering — its shades of brightness more dazzling, and its darkness even murkier. "We almost didn't hear it when the foundations went."

Tryck & Ton is run by Edvin E & Anton Klint. After a couple of amazing edit releases the guys return with the first original work from the newly founded label. Conga Liver is a percussion driven banger with serious highs and lows. The track gets remix treatment from Lisbons finest Tiago, who adds a discogroove, horns & an incredibly groovy baseline to the table. Final track 'On The Flip' is a playful groover sounding like Robotnik having a loud wine-impregnated argument with Tony Allen over who to host the afterparty.

Azymuth drummer Ivan 'Mamao' Conti's forthcoming self-titled solo project, remixed by West London broken beat pioneer IG Culture for a scorching club monster, alongside three future-funk remixes from 22a records family Tenderlonious, Reginald Omas Mamode IV and Jeen Bassa.

Ivan 'Mamao' Conti is one of the greatest drummers on earth. A true rhythmic innovator, he is Brazil's answer to Tony Allen, Steve Gadd, and Bernard Purdie (no small claim considering the country's famed samba connection). Known by most as one third of Azymuth, his career spans far beyond with over half a century's worth for recordings with the likes of Milton Nascimento, Eumir Deodato, Marcos Valle, Hyldon, Gal Costa and Jorge Ben. More recently Mamao recorded an album with hip-hop royalty Madlib under the shared moniker 'Jackson Conti'.

Now aged seventy, Mamao's work ethic is as strong as ever. In anticipation of a new Ivan Conti solo album set for release in 2017, Far Out Recordings have commissioned a series of remixes to be spread across two separate 12's. The first is a strictly London affair, with a fiery broken-boogie club monster from West London pioneer IG Culture, joined by the signature future-funk of 22a Records family Tenderlonious, Reginald Omas Mamode IV and Jeen Bassa. The second 12' will host remixes from Max Graef, Glenn Astro and Contours.

Prolific doesn't begin to describe Japan's Keita Sano, who has come seemingly out of nowhere to become one of the most unique new voices in electronic music thanks to a wildly eclectic clutch of releases for much-hyped labels like 1080p, Joakim's Crowdspacer, Mister Saturday
Night, Spring Theory, Discos Capablanca and more. Building on that buzz, Sano is unleashing still more head-twisting takes on house and techno via New York's Most Excellent Unlimited.

Label boss Paul Raffaele has found a kindred spirit in Sano. Their shared love of classic dance music and refusal to let genre or convention define their work makes MXU a natural home for the Sunset EP,' coming as it does on the heels of the category-smashing Oyama Edit' 12' and a 7' of drum track edits by disco king Danny Krivit. Diverse and unafraid to upend expectation, its hard to imagine a party where at least one of these jams wouldn't set things off.

The title track mixes discoid guitars with lush pads and a echoing handclaps, anchored by a deep, chugging bass line. It's the kind of track that's begging for a dance floor building towards hands-in- the-air release. Chango' shows off Sano's rhythmic proficiency and fondness for killer samples, tweaking the raved-out formula of Onion Slice' for deeper dance floors.

The drum attack continues on Nothing For Nothing' which pairs a massive batucada groove with ecstatic synths, whistles and afro-inflected strings carrying the melodic weight. Sano closes out the proceedings with a deft rendition of the sort of fuzzed out techno that's coming in waves on labels like Lobster Theremin. Changing the mood dramatically, Daze' substitutes a storming distorted kick for the sampled drums that came before, layering fuzzed out claps, martial snare patters, spaced- out cymbals, and miasmic synths that strobe like a rescue beacon on a dance floor flooded with smoke.

Art, of any kind, encompasses the unique and distinctive output of its creator: an inimitable human being. It points to a blueprint map of who this creator is, encapsulates their experiences and somehow points to how they arrive at their creation(s). This blueprint, although lending glimmer into one life, connects deeply into an unfathomable amount of other lives - lending an expression and effect. With this in mind, we go on a journey with Dowinowe - the first solo artist release for the Gqom oh! label - on his debut "GQOM004" Dominowe is a 19 year old producer from the Newlands east township of Durban, South Africa who started out making music just for his friends. This release snapshots important themes in his evocative personal journey - expressed in his own very unique style. Releasing on Vinyl in 27th of January 2017, the EP, titled SiyaThakatha', showcases Dominowe's original style in the context of the Durban electronic music scene especially when paced beside Gqom and Sghubu. The listener gets a real sense of his complexity and the variety of styles Dominowe is capable of producing. "SiyaThakatha", the EP name, is translated _black_ _magic,_ or, _we witching - _ which is right at the heart of this release: that listening to these sounds invite you into the universe of an unseen world, putting you in touch with what can only described as invisible energy - a combination of the ideal, the intangible, the unattainable and the other-worldly whilst on journey with a 19year old from Durban whose music is composed of influence and innovation. It is about gqom working its magic on the dance floor for people to move - to the distinctive beats and cultural rhythms. It features four tracks - including one skit outro - as well as three tracks on digital download. The tracks were chosen specifically as a reflection of the variety of styles Dominowe produces and the originality of his productions.

Argentine musician Daniel Melingo is an established artist in his own right in the Tango world, and his powerful and distinctive track 'Narigon' from 2005 is a classic, that got it's deserved vinyl release on Desolat Special Edition 002. This November Desolat is proud to unveil three fantastic official remixes of 'Narigon' from Radio Slave & Thomas Gandey, Ario and Guti. It all started a few years ago when Desolat discovered Ario's amazing unofficial remix of 'Narigon', which has been a constant feature in Loco Dice's DJ sets ever since. So great was the reaction to 'Narigon' that Desolat licensed the original and got Daniel Melingo to re-sing the acapella especially for their artists to work on. All three mixes offer wonderfully different perspectives. Radio Slave & Thomas Gandey's mix is an extended 15 minute hypnotic rhythmic masterclass, Ario stays close to the spirit of the original while Guti injects a twisted groove. Alexander Palmestal was fifty procent of the electro duo Pistol Disco - a band that during the 00's bustled around in the music scene of Gothenburg and became known for having a certain sound and for their unpredictable and often magical live shows. The later incarnation of the band took a step away from the German 70's influences to move towards a more club friendly universe. In 2015 the band released the 7inch 'Goo/Pool' on Hoga Nord Rekords which was their last release and now Palmestal, under the name Mythologen, make a release on Hoga Nord Rekords.
Mythologen continues building on the foundations that Pistol Disco and Palmestal's other band Iberia was made upon. The songs on this album named 'Mythologen' is the perfect combination of the fragility and melancholy of Iberia and Pistol Disco's monotony and drive. Underneath layers of dreamy, free floating synthesizers and restrained yet steady drumbeats lies muffled melodies waiting for the air to be let in. And then, all of a sudden the clouds disappear and the sunlight is beaming down over the music, like on the closing track 'Brighter Summer Day'. In other songs on the album the darkness is more present, embodied by polyrhythmic tribal drums giving the music weight and suggestion.
'Mythologen' is the soundtrack for recovering from a depression. The album seduces the whole spectrum of your moodswings, eliminates your ego and moves your focus from the past to the future.

Credit 00 strikes back with four cuts between Jungle Funk and sublime Party bombs. "Tribal Rhythm Machine" starts off with subtle but effective drumming that works on the dance floor as much as it could be the soundtrack to your road trip to Utopia. Then there is "Curse Of The Medusa", a pretty rumbling track that takes full advantage of its super-funky vocal samples and almost explosive percussion action. "Voodoo Soup" fishes in muddy waters with Credit 00's distinctive drum work and tribal sounds from outer space. The final track "Snake Charmer" is building things up nice and steady. But when the hypnotizing synth melody breaks ground neither serpents nor dancers can resist. The artwork was created by Alexander Dorn a.k.a. Credit 00 himself.

For those who know his work, having something by him that will work on a dancefloor may bring a smile to your face. Thankfully I know him a bit and he was more than happy to grant permission for this to be released.

RB: 'The Lizard King' is an outcome of my fascination with Chicago Footwork/Juke. Most of the tracks were created during a couple of spontaneous home studio sessions earlier this year. It was a raw play with the sounds and sampling with no particular plan that made the material more fun and dance-friendly than any of my previous records.

Universally recognized as a founding father of the disco edit, Danny Krivit took cleverly spliced reworks from the realm of one-off private pressings and carefully guarded reel-to-reels and put them in the hands of any DJ savvy enough to seek out the Mr. K name. That single initial came to be an undisputed mark of quality, from sound and fidelity to usefulness on the decks. With this latest release, Most Excellent Unlimited continues celebrating Danny's 45th anniversary of DJing with another 45-RPM pressing of two classic Krivit edits, both appearing on 7-inch format for the first time.

"Happy Song" takes a different tack, as Danny focuses on a short percussion intro to the original mix—a soulful rock cut— and works it into a DJ tool that thumpingly rattles the walls and uses successive crescendos to build tension and release, once again showing his mastery of the incendiary tribal build- up. Although there is a notorious 12-inch edit of "Happy Song" in mono, this pressing is the first time the song has appeared on 7-inch and in stereo.

"Erucu" was originally released on a soundtrack LP in 1974, and, despite being barely more than a minute in length, quickly became an essential part of many club jocks' sets. Danny's edit is a textbook example of the art of extending a mix, as he takes tiny segments of the bass-heavy original and teases them into a building, energetic, five-minute banger.

As always, this Most Excellent release will be pressed at the highest quality, and in limited quantities.

Throughout this landmark year of Krivit's auspicious career, look out for more in Most Excellent Unlimited's series of sevens charting Danny's trailblazing path through dance music, as well as special 45s-only sets Mr. K will be adding to his already diverse repertoire.

Optimo Music release REEL HOUZE's 'Optimo Music Disco Plate Two' in mid November.

Following on from the summer hit that was Noo's Optimo Disco Plate one, we are delighted to present the second plate, this one an archival release from London's Reel Houze. Reel Houze are/were Dominic Dawson and Rob Mello, and these two tracks were originally released in 1996. Big with Twitch at the time, he dug out "No Difference" again last year and started playing it once more and then did the same with "The Chance". They felt and sounded timeless so it seemed a good idea to make these Dub Disco wonders available again to a new generation.

'The Chance" is based on a sample form Dinosaur L's "Go Bang". It is nearly 11 minutes of dubbed out disco madness featuring one of thee all time greatest Moog solos, played live by Rob Mello. DJ Harvey gets frenetic on the percussion (he's playing a toilet seat!). It's loose, it's a little debauched and is further proof that disco music can be out there, wild, modern and any tempo it goddamn wants to be.

"No Difference" is the closest thing we can imagine to Basic Channel doing disco. Loose, long, extremely dubbed out and mesmeric, in the right hands it is swinging, sexy club hypnotiser.

Argentina has a rich history when it comes to dance music and Gonzalo Solimano is one of the country's finest electronic flag-bearers. With his Unlock Recordings imprint he's created a heavy back-catalogue that the likes of Barem, Guti, Luca M and Daniel Sanchez have all contributed to.

After a short break Solimano is back with his 'Factor H' EP and the original mix is a tropical, cow bell laden treat, one that sums up the nation's sound nicely. On remix duty is both Fase and fellow Argentinian maestro Guti.

The producer's last full-length was the jazz-inspired 'Rompecorazones' and now a remix LP is set to follow but here we focus on his amazing edit of 'Factor H'.

Guti has maintained the percussive elements of the original but added a significant amount of groove and focused on adding in thick kick drums and more drive. It's one you can imagine on the terraces or at 4am in a darkened room and this is why Guti is such a don. Check it.

A tense and reeling monster of a release that would seem aimed at leaving you breathless - and setting dance floors on fire -, you can almost picture Tristano hunched over a grand piano, hammering away like a madman for the five tracks that take us from ‚Dminorloop' split personality with its build-ups and deconstructions to the driving ‚Sarasani', on to ‚Stekker Sound Driver' decaying bassline and ‚Gaza World Cup' chest-thumping roll. It all ends on a lighter note with ‚Place on Lafayette' almost psychedelic keys - actually recorded on Lafayette Place, in Detroit. Techno, Electronica, classical Its been said a good artist is one who can defy genres and titles, and we'll be damned if there was a bigger defyer than Francesco Tristano. 'This is, in the words of the great Paul Frick, 'elektronische Körpermusik'. Plainly, time to get physical... I am absolutely thrilled to have a release here.

Samuel Rohrer's arjunamusic label is rapidly becoming a distinctive voice in an ever-expanding wilderness of musical experimentation, effortlessly finding the common ground between the improvisational impulse and the rhythmic architecture of electronic dance music. The emerging sound of this label is one that seems to be all at once biological, technological, and theoretical, and so the collaborative choice for this new release is a very appropriate one to continue down this path. Tyler Friedman, a multi-faceted creator whose experiments have included the stimulation of natural bioluminescence via an automated piano, brings a sense of hyper-realism to the table which meshes in very interesting ways with Rohrer's conversational percussive instincts.
Tyler Friedman's original mix of YYY' is led by a bouncing and playful set of melodic figures, featuring an intimate timbral quality like a hybrid kalimba and vibraphone. Various other tonal curiosities fly around the central figures like luminous insects, and this already intriguing tapestry of sound becomes more colorful via the gradual introduction of cleverly deployed de-tuning, sharp portamento shifts and stuttering delay effects. By the time the piece comes to a close, the effect is of
standing beneath a cascade of steadily falling sound objects, of being literally showered in sound.
The drum and vocal dub by Tyler Friedman and Samuel Rohrer, bringing the voice of Tora Augestad into the picture, captures the same cascading feel of the original with a very different, and occasionally 'grittier', instrumental vocabulary. Rohrer's nimble work on his kit helps the listener to navigate through an unfamiliar but intoxicating terrain of sensory impressions, as electronic treatments on Augestad's voice steadily transmogrify it into something silvery and synthetic before returning it back to its original form. Weaving dramatic melodicism and intense abstraction together like the double strands of a DNA molecule, this highly innovative mix should find ways enhance and expand just about any listening environment. YYY' is a record for those who enjoy the sound of artists challenging themselves to step outside of proscribed boundaries, and succeeding.
Tyler Friedman is a sound artist, composer and producer. His approach utilizes a blend of music theory, synthesis, sound design, analog/digital studio techniques and conceptual imagination. In addition to his own projects, he has collaborated on the sound and composition of multiple art projects, notably with Turner Prize nominees The Otolith Group, whose films have been commissioned by Documenta 13 and Haus der Kunst in Munich, and Andreas Greiner on his installation Multitudes for bio-luminescent algae and player piano. Recently he has had two releases of lysergic- experimental club music on the Swedish label Kontra Musik: a double EP titled CCC:BB:BBB:JJ and the 12" Vulkalaunai. Altogether, his practice is situated between art, creative engineering, musicology, club and theory.
Samuel Rohrer is one of the influential improvisational musicians of his generation in the field of experimental and improvised music and is touring worldwide performing on major festivals like Punkt Festivalen, NorthSea Festival, Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Nuits Sonores Lyon, Montréal International Festival or CTM Berlin and working with numerous projects and artists including

Laurie Anderson, Sidsel Endresen, Max Loderbauer, Nan Goldin, Jan Bang, Mark Feldman, Charles Gayle, Skuli Sverrisson, Eivind Aarset, Trygve Seim or Vincent Courtois. His work is since 2012 mainly released on his label arjunamusic records, besides a partly documentation on numerous ECM albums.

Toronto native and production chameleon Sean Miller joins the ranks of Josh Wink's Ovum Recordings. After recent releases from the likes of Wink himself and Vince Watson (who released the label's 250th release at the end of 2014), Miller takes the helm for this bumping, grooving slice of tech house mastery with a latin twist. His production skills and deep knowledge of the dance floor have been proven time and again; with a catalogue that includes releases for Mobilee, Supernature, VIVa Music and Saved, his new 4-track EP is a welcome addition to his long list of musical accolades and allies. Sean's open-minded approach to dance music fits perfectly with Ovum's all encompassing, eclectic output and reach. On Matter of Time, Miller takes a departure from his trademark tech house romps on opener Vida. Already road tested at BPM to a rapturous reception, the track exudes a percussive, instrumental flair with sounds of afrobeat and latin-house squeezed between its rhythmic beats, flanked by wailing vocal chants. Sean also drops a Percapella version, heavy on the cowbell, drum flares and vocal chops, it strips back the beats completely for a sturdy tool for the DJ's. On the flip 'Come June' brings the carnival sound. Doused in uplifting, poly-rhythmic percussions and deep slabs of sub-weighted bass its a hip shaking sun dance for summer sun. Matter of Time is a divine triple header from Philadelphia's Ovum imprint and an excellent chapter in the evolving music history of Mr. Miller.

Bosq of Whiskey Barons tears into some Stevie. "As" is slowed to a funky slo mo disco, as waves of percussion drive "Another Star" to a galaxy far, far, away.

Luciano breezes into Cadenza Music's 10th anniversary year with a new single, 'Cachai'/'Dance Unity', released on February 25th. Whereas previous single 'Rise Of Angel' came from the heart, this brace of new music comes strictly from the mind; heady, experimental dancefloor tracks with an air of futurism to them that sets the scene for Luciano's next album, due this year, quite nicely. 'Cachai' fuses a bouncing, morning groove with stabbing operatic vocals and searing strings, light organ keys keeping the backbone of this decidedly trippy and minimal production, Luciano taking things back to the basics...'Dance Unity' keeps things in the similar vein, raw and minimal electronic drums, furry snares and an attention to the finer details, with hallucinatory blips, bleeps and haunting keys weaving their magic over the tracks 15 minute tenure. Luciano provides the call to the dancefloor, with 'Dance Unity's' lyric, and a fitting message in light of Cadenza's 10 year achievements.

Claudio Coccoluto THE italian pioneer for electronic club music continues his search for the ultimate record with three thick cut tribalesque discoid tracks full of groove, rhytm, patterns.

In Flagranti (Sasa and Alex) were coming into Geneva, spinning at La Graviere where I was regularly Djing. We hadn't seen each other since New York. I'd spent a few life times there. I'd been out of my home town, living in France, next to Geneva for four years. Over dinner, Sasa asked me to play bass on a few tracks remembering my time in Konk. It turned into In Flagranti's Hi Pitch'. Sasa and Alex reunited some good New York friends, Sal P. (Liquid Liquid), Justin Strauss (Whatever Whatever), In Flagranti and myself. So after our collaboration, they asked me to do a new record for Codek. I'd been DJing at underground spots in Geneva and doing some gigs in Paris and Zurich and I was ready to make some new tracks.

Zhivago Zhivago was inspired by hearing deep house and techno tracks where phrasing that doesn't resolve after 8 bars. That started the vibe, and then I took it down to a more Cosmic' tempo. My friend Elhadj Fall is on vocals. We worked together at a small spot on Avenue C in the East Village called Baraza, where I'd spin Salsa, Soca and disco breaks. Elhadj is a wicked Reggae DJ who also played at Baraza. I asked him to do an MC style party rap like Dr. Perri Johnson on Let's Start the Dance Again (Bohannon) but in Wolof, his language from Senegal.

Zhivago Zhivago/Khidja Dub (Emotional Especial) Two guys from Bucharest who turn out inspired psychedelic tracks, melding electronics sounds of east and west. Their remix expertly sears in the flavor like a delicious one minute steak served in pita with tahini and harissa. Khidja were the perfect choice to remix Zhivago Zhivago and their mix doesn't disappoint!

Disco Touch - The vinyl version emerged out of re-working the original and combining elements from my other mixes. Moving around the 8 bar loop—listening to it on repeat over and over, I loved the way it kept cutting off the strings. More mixes coming on digital.

Disco Touch Siren Mix is produced by Darshan Jesrani (Metro Area, Startree) and Dennis Kane (Disques Sinthomme, Ghost Town). They birthed Siren out of residencies at NYC's storied night-spot APT, and the parties they produced together in APT's wake. Their unique way of playing for party people comes through in their remix for of Disco Touch. It's another reunion as I've known Dennis since his days at A1 records.

On the dancefloor, their sound plays with our craving for darkness, our sense of fun and our blue feelings; it frustrates and obsesses us. And thanks to their incredible technique, their passion for the past and the remote translates into something that belongs to right here and right now.

Hivern Discs keeps unveiling new talent by introducing Mistakes Are Ok. Hailing from Bar- celona, Mistakes Are Ok is the new project of Franc Sayol, who's been one of the minds behind Hivern Discs since the label's birth.
Following celebrated remixes for the likes of The XX and John Talabot, Mistakes Are Ok will release his debut album, 'Nowhere Near', in early 2016. Forgiven is its first single, and comes backed with two stellar remixes by Giegling's Edward.
Mistakes Are Ok sound is not easy to pinpoint. With influences ranging from pop to dub, kraut to house and disco to electro and an approach to production somewhere in between the grainy sounds of Actress, the organic sampling of Four Tet and the pop sensi- bility of his longtime friend John Talabot, his productions are equally hazy, psychedelic and emotional.
'Forgiven' is a captivating slo-mo number that displays a woozy atmosphere in which mourning chords and melodies are propelled by shuffling rhythms, and with interlacing voices and tropical-indebted chimes.
In his first remix, Edward increases the tempo to deliver a robust dancefloor-oriented rework driven by icy sequences and stinging analog claps that infuse ravey tones into the original's gloomy spirit. Edward's 'Alternate World' remix deepens into the hazy and humid ambiance of the track, creating a highly soothing composition that layers narco- tic percussions, field recordings and subtle melodic details.

The World In Pieces by Alfons Knogl is a musical reflection about the unrestrained and powerful transformation of Istanbul. Composed during a residency there it is like a blueprint for changing social structures. They are followed by huge emotional imbalances in coexistence notwithstanding that the aesthetic density of the metropolis appears entirely marvelous.

Golden Teacher started life as a studio collaboration between Glasgow's noise punk trio, Ultimate Thrush and Glasgow's all analogue house duo, Silk Cut. The results of their collaboration turned the ears of all who heard them, not least Twitch who after one listen asked if he could release the project on Optimo Music label.

Recorded live, direct to tape at Glasgow's legendary Green Door studios with minimal overdubbing and editing, the tracks feature various associates of the band contributing vocals and additional percussion. It's a little hard to describe Golden Teacher's sound (always a good thing in our book) but imagine Arthur Russell's Dinosaur L jamming with Bobby O, K Alexi Shelby, Liaisions Dangereuses, Imagination, some voodoo drummers and Sly & Robbie. The third and last twelve inch of the 'Still Living In Slavery Remixes' series. Please remember: The last twelve inch came in a neat sleeve that easily stores all three records in it. The first side contains Kuniyuki Takashi's remix of ' Dounougnan Magni'. He enriches the track with lively percussion and softens the somewhat sparse and minimalistic style of the original. A perfect backing for Hamed Sosso's story about live,death and the pursuit of happiness. The flipside contains the last chapter of the epic 'Enchained Tribe'. A deep glowing track with a haunting vocal and progressing drums that literally break free in the middle. Kuniyuki Takashi's flute provides additional athmosphere and keeps the track moving into a lush (and almost beatless) outro. Next is 'Break Your Chains And Return To Botswana'. Eight and a half minute of slow paced african percussion - and an accompanying chant that fades in and out of the mix.It's all about beats, beats, beats - Mr Raoul K's talent in arrangement and beat programming is very much on display and delivers a real groover without any bassline, Makes you shake your... whatever you want to shake. The night came and with it, Aguardiente and smoke. We listened to salsa records and played along on the MPC. Wilson the dog saw us working, dancing and singing. A little more than a month went by. We were joined by a piano player, some singers, a percussionist, and recorded day and night, with more Aguardiente. We recorded, with delay and distortion, adding layers of melodies and rhythm. We call it RIONEGRO, like the place where it was created, like the river that flows down and crosses Medellín on its way to the ocean'

In January 2013 Sebastián Sano' Hoyos, Gregorio Gladkazuka' Gomez, Natalia Valencia, and Matias Aguayo set out to gather at Rionegro, a town on the outskirts of Medellín, Colombia. Others, like Byron Idárraga, Natalia Lara, Luis Miguel Jaramillo, and more, would join the sessions. In this project, a musical spirit was followed, initiated by Sano's inspiration in playing the rhythms of Salsa, Descarga, Boogaloo, Merengue, and so on, using the machines of today.

Together, all were conscious about the aim not to make a fusion of styles but rather an authentic delivery of their love for music, and something to which you could dance the same steps as the great Salsa classics.

They performed these grooves in a house by the mountains, and everything was about the love for the music they grew up with and about playing it today with their own means. Recordings were made during long lasting, late night jams, in-and-around the house (that's why you can sometimes hear barking dogs and other background noises on the record).

Gladkazuka worked drum machines and sequencers, recorded, and played his distinct minimalist electric guitar riffs of dark Latin psychedelia, reminding us of moments when Beat and Rock'n Roll embraced Cumbia.

Sano is a Salsa lover, a salsa dancer, as well as a House and Salsa DJ. Being a lover of Nuyorican takes on House music- where rhythms stand as close to tropical music as they do to disco and funk. He continues in this vein by translating those hard rhythms of the past, reinventing the dirty distorted Salsa - cowbells, the conga cascades of the energetic Descargas', and the aggressive trombones hearable on old vinyl.

Following the 2008 release Deep Vibes crew proudly presents the 2nd instalment of IN THE STREETS. This time split in two EPs, you can expect some dope tunes from THE ZARS, SLACK SOCIETY AND HENRY L & INGO SÄNGER.

Cumpa Limited is a vinyl and digital Chilean Label company. It is born in 2013 under the motivation of a group of friends and lovers of electronic dance music for dance floor. Feedback fills the room and on it goes. Automat and Max Loderbauer open proceedings on the new SELEKT label quite masterfully with an auspicious 4 track EP - Verstärker / Hall / Kompressor / Echo. How did this come about Automat, busy recording their second album, came across Max Loderbauer in the neighbouring studio. They got along swimmingly and started working together straight away. Everything played live, no overdubs' as Automat's bass player Georg Zeitblom confirms - first take, no shake. The studio was stripped down to basics. No computers though: a tape machine, guitar amplifier, analogue EQs, rehearsal space: Re-rewind, the crowd say Bo Selekter!'

January of 2016 will mark Danny Krivit's 45th anniversary of DJing. Those decades have essentially spanned the entire arc of contemporary dance music's evolution and, as anyone who's heard him play will attest, Danny does the same in his creative, far-reaching DJ sets. What better way to mark a 45th anniversary than to release a 45RPM record The latest offering from Most Excellent Unlimited is a two-sided seven-inch that features Danny touching up two percussive monsters that exemplify the down and dirty tribal vibe of the earliest, pre-disco dancefloors. The breakdown section of Cymande's "Bra" is teased to multiple climaxes on one side while the flip, slyly sliced from obscure German progressive rockers Niagara, takes no prisoners, riding a ferocious drum break for four-plus minutes of pleasure.
As Mr. K's auspicious landmark approaches, Most Excellent Unlimited plans to release a series of sevens that will chart Danny's path through these past 45 years of dance music, while Danny himself will be joining the fun by adding 45s-only sets to his already diverse repertoire.

The two are known for excellent releases on labels like Supdub, Lordag, Kol Mojito, Karateclub, Extrasmart and Damm rec. through which they put their skills to the test in recent years, now comes the next installment of the saga Fender & Kohlmann called "Flowkati EP". The result is a musically well balanced release with dance guarantee. At the latest after the Vinyl is spinning the third time on the turntable, it will admit even the last doubts. As icing on the cake Ron Flatter contributes a very sonorous remix, which perfectly rounds off the EP. The tracks Flowkati and Libanese contain vocals by Leeroy.

Peerless rhythmist and sonic explorer Afrikan Sciences makes his PAN debut with
'Circuitous,' the third full-length, freeform offering from the New York-based artist.

At the nexus of Afrofuturism, science fiction, transcendental free jazz, and future hip hop, this new work from Eric Porter Douglas casts itself and its creator in a liminal zone most recognizably charted by astral traveler Sun Ra.

'Circuitous' follows from nearly a decade of releases for Deepblak —the Oakland-rooted imprint of frequent collaborator Aybee— and shares common blood with both the elevated conscious- ness of late '80s club culture and contemporary West Coast beat scene

Built around Douglas' signature polyrhythms and complex melodies, the unorthodox agility demon- strated throughout the album's fourteen tracks reflect his long history of live, improvised sets combining multiple turntables, upright bass, and a command center of digital tablets and controllers. Each track maps the artist's own movements, tracing paths of flight, highway trajectories through tunnels and over bridges, and rides through rough and gated neighborhoods. If familiar on the surface, deeper or repeated listenings to 'Circuitous' reveal the dynamic multiplicity embodied within.

'Circuitous' is a free and unbound body of work—one that defies easy classification yet translates fluidly across multiple environments—compiled over double LP in order to fully realize the scope of Afrikan Science's sonic palette.

Two mixes of Mr Raoul K's opus 'Break Your Chains And Return To Botswana'. Kaito takes a step back and uses parts of Mr Raoul K's tricky beats as a rock solid base to build his soundscapes on. His mix is like the soundtrack to a movie dealing with alienated individuals who try to escape imprisonment through an endless desert. They cross this cold and dark place full of rocks with strong hearts. Stopping and hiding occasionally to avoid being seen. At last, the slowly rising sun shows them the way to freedom. Keeping their eyes fixed on the gloomy red light far away keeps their hope alive and their faith strong. Mr Raoul K's own mix takes the already beat heavy track to a whole new level by adding even more percussion. His mix illustrates the preparation of the escape. Planning, setting up decoys, be prepared to response to any move the other side takes. Timing is everything. Every unnecessary step my lead to failure. The atmosphere is dense. Hide in the shadows, take only small steps forward until you reach your goal: leave your chains behind and step out into the desert to finish your journey to freedom. Enjoy.

Porn Sword Tobacco and SVN return to Kontra-Musik for another untouchable release far off the beaten techno track. Trying anxiously to get with whatever is fashionable right now has never been Kontra-Musik's way of doing things, and the same goes for Porn Sword Tobacco and SVN. That's why we're such a good match. The A-side consists of an eleven minutes scuba dive into the deep. The water is warm and pleasant and bright colored fishes in all shapes and sizes are swimming all around you, creating an abundance of shimmering bubbles. You'll be amazed by all the micro-rhythms and deep basses down here, but as you descend further down the scenery changes: The water gets cooler and more acidic and the sea life stranger and less gaudy. But there are still glitchy rhythms and bubbly basses everywhere in the dark, so keep going. As you touch down on bottom of the sea, you'll hit the B-side. You'll need both your feet down here, because here comes the kick drum and it's in good company. The beat shares it's trembling minimal core with Plastikman's Snark, but there's more pace and concentrated driving force - a force that's getting even stronger as the record enters it's last chapter, almost causing a sea floor rift.

El Guincho side project gets the remix treatment from edit-champ Pilooski, Visionquest / Soft Touch mega-talent Clarian and Turbo / Multi Culti A&R Von Party.

Spanish musician Pablo Diaz-Reixa, best known for his psychedelic, tropical pop act El Guincho (released on Young Turks), posted 5 sample-based tribal tracks back in 2013 on the site tranc.es. The music drew the attention of John Talabot, who released two of them, titled simply '4' and '5,' onto his Hivern Discs label, as a vinyl-only release, which found its way to Thomas Von Party and inspired this remix pack.

Pilooski hasn't released much music of late, but what he has put out has been of exceptional quality, with remixes for I:Cube and Tim Paris being highlights of 2014. His remix of Trances 4 is a sprawling modular head-trip, far out in every way, yet somehow listenable and versatile as a DJ tool.

The increasingly prolific Clarian (formerly of Footprintz), flexes a progressive acid house builder out of Trances 5, proving his skill in yet another facet, after an incredibly wide range of releases ranging from indie rock on Seth Troxler's Soft Touch to indian chant-pop on his Multi Culti EP. It's a sonic departure from the original, but one that stays true to the verb in question.

Finally, Von Party brings the tempo down on to a smooth 116 BPM, restraining some of the abrasive elements to make for a low-slung crowd-pleaser that works equally as warm-up or late-night takedown - already played and supported by Tiga.

Also included in the package are the amazing originals, available for the first time digitally, and as a digital exclusive, a previously unheard alternate version of Trances 4.

The swizz house maestro who delivered last years Miami monster "Likewise" returns with a stunning two track 12" that's already been turning heads and sending many beards a scratching...

"Dove" is a beautiful piece of jazz house with afro roots and one hell of a groove. On the flip is "If u so" which will appeal to fans of Cadenza.. Hint hint ! Disco tool house...or "TIP" as they might say in Berlin !

BOOGIE NITE drop their 2nd 12" on GLENVIEW and it's a stunner. 4 cuts all guaranteed to get the dancefloor moving: "LOVE U" (a bangin' disco houser), "EVEYRTHING GOOD 2 YA" (a slow SUPERFLY-TASTIC jam), "FREE 2013" (a soaring jazz tinged house groover) and "DAT BOY AGAIN" (a punchy disco cut).

Recent output has seen Dorisburg pushing into deeper realms. Computer Drumming are some further steps in these explorations of 4/4 rhythms and acoustic depth. With a wide range in tempo, the track titles offers aid for the venturous. A1 is a reduced jam of echoing percussion that never sees the entry of a kick drum. A2 compensates with bouncing bass and a playful array of drumming elements entering and dropping off in a bold tempo. Exiting on a more well established pulse, the B side consists of the deepest and most mysterious offering from Dorisburg to date. Distant bells and chimes and a grand formation of percussion meets thundering bass in an encounter set on vast grounds.
