For the 21st anniversary of Regis' pivotal debut album, the Brum techno overlord has remade the scene of the crime from original stems and salvaged 8-tracks tapes. The unyielding results
effectively present a doctored version of his seminal - some may say game-changing - record,featuring new studio versions and unreleased sequences. It's basically a stronger, fitter version of
his most prized LP, loaded with sounds as brutally functional as the city which birthed them,
Originally recorded in September 1996 in Room 406, Digbeth, Birmingham aka Scorn's studio - sandwiched between Tony De Vit and Broadcast's recording spaces - Regis used 1 drum machine, 1 synth, and 1 FX unit to nail home a back-to-basics approach to techno; one inspired as much by the direct immediacy of Chicago house as the febrile DJ sets of Jeff Mills, but also drawing a crucial X factor from his background as a bit of hooligan, with form in a number of post-industrial, EBM and
punk units.
When Gymnastics first hit the 'floor it was considered shocking anathema to the swell of manicured, proggy arrangements which were by then dominating the spotlight of British dance in clubs and the media. It was loopy, stripped to the bone and shark-eyed, always moving forward and without the faintest recourse to melody or harmony - simply revelling in the gnashing tension and swerve of raw, clattering drum machines and monophonic synth jabs. Big Beat or trance it fucking well wasn't. 21 years later its lip-biting force is now felt stronger than ever. From the grumbling refusal of We Said No and the austere wall-banger Allies that boot off the album, thru the 16th note nag of Translation to the rictus jag of Sand and The Black Freighter's metallic bite, this is timeless, primal dance music that still causes friction wherever it's deployed.

His first Biosphere releases were the 12-inch single "The Fairy Tale" and the album Microgravity, both of which were rejected by SSR as unmarketable.(1) Microgravity was released in 1991 on the Norwegian label Origo Sound, and saw wider release via the R&S Records subsidiary Apollo in 1992, to much critical acclaim.

Originally released on vinyl R&S in 1994, 'Meditation Will Manifest' was re-earthed in 2016 by Nina Kraviz and Ricardo Villalobos, becoming a secret weapon on dancefloors 22 years after its original release.
Josh Wink has always been ahead of musical trends and walks his own path in dance music. From a young age Wink was exposed to different mysticism and consciousness philosophies. 'It wasn't a big, popular or trendy thing to do at the time, but I was 14 and just did what my mother did... Releasing tracks like 'Meditation Will Manifest' and 'Higher States of Consciousness', people looked at me as being this deeply profound spiritual guy, but I never really thought about it in that way, even though I'm really into repetitive, transcendental and meditative rhythms. Drax project, that brought you such huge anthems like Amphetamine, Phosphene, Section 2 and Parnophelia,
which are collected on this one 2-coloured Vinyl 12inch for the first time !
The two predecessors to Amphetamine were Section 2 on the first ever Techno 7inch in 1993, followed some time
later by the Carl Cox beloved anthem Phosphene on the night glowing 10" Drax Three.
This finally led to one of the most influential and famous Techno tracks named Amphetamine, which is presented here
in a completely different and unreleased version (for the original please check AFUltd.31).

The founders of Organisation For Fun' were no underdogs: Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti would go on as duo SNAP! And write global hits like The Power' or Rhythm Is A Dancer", writing pop history. And the third member of OFF was then 21-year-old Sven Väth, today one the most notorious international DJs. Michael and Luca were the masters of equipment, responsible for the mixing desk and the recording tape we used to make the master tapes. I was the one providing song ideas, grooves and bringing a good mood to the studio.

Essential repress of Terrence Dixon's debut album and first release on Tresor.

Initially released in 2000, this new edition comes with a bonus 7' vinyl featuring two previously uncut tracks: ' What Up' and 'Shuffle All Circuits'.

From The Far Future embodies a specific and vital time of Detroit's techno production, going hand in hand with Juan Atkins' work as Infiniti, Terrence Dixon signed this album with a masterful hand.

Compilation of remastered tracks from the defunct Scorp label, operated from 2000 to 2004 by Steve Rachmad. Includes one unreleased track from the same period.

Steve Rachmad's extensive collection of projects over the years has provided a wealth of inspiration in its many forms. Although much of Rachmad's music has been influential on the development of Token from the beginning, there is one body of work in particular that encapsulates the essence of the label, in a classic and inimitable form.

Scorp was a self-contained label project operating between 2000 and 2004. Although not the best known of Rachmad's many aliases, its importance was not overlooked by discerning tastemakers at the forefront of the techno movement at the time.

Token 66 contains nine tracks in total selected from these releases, plus one track previously unreleased from the same period. All of the music has been remastered and will be available digitally for the first time as well as on a 3LP vinyl compilation.

These ten tracks clearly demonstrate Token's alignment with this classic sound, exhibiting Rachmad's mathematical precision in employing bare-bones percussion to captivate, doing away with the formality of a lengthy introduction and urging a hypnotic state with immediate effect.
