A warm human hand sculpts the icy machine-like sounds into a meticulous harmony over undulating bass and entrancing snares, clasps and industrial heartbeats. This continuous circulation of sound and its ever beating rumbling-flexed sub bass found in Rebecca Goldberg's newest batch of acid-techno arrangements effectively replicate the natural functions of omega 3, or -3, fatty acids albeit in musical-form. Whereas ingesting the special carboxylic acids found in plant and marine oils woll fortify your vascular system into a well-oiled machine, Goldberg is using a table of various analog machines to manifest a similar, yet uniquely propulsive flow of energy through a composite of frenetic hi-hats and trudling kick drums, looping under spacey Rolands waving out reverb splashed frequencies coiling synthetic intonations.

The beats reach the feet, the bass unlocks the hips and the synths pull and twist the shoulders, staving off stagnation or decimating a collective clotting - we are loosened in restorative ways to the sleek assemblages of one of Detroit's leading DJs/composers on the electronic music scene. Goldberg's 25-minute odyssey is unceasing in its sinuous stream of mesmeric techno music, as if powered on by relentless agents found in the healthful acids for which this EP gets its title.

In accordance with relativity, they are in some sense interchangeable, but we do know that they form co-equal parts of a larger 'thing' called space-time, and it is only within space-time that the most complete understanding of the motion and properties of natural objects and phenomena can be rigorously understood by physicists. Space and time are to space-time what arms and legs are to humans. In some sense they are interchangeable, but you cannot understand 10,000 years of human history without including both arms and legs as part of the basic human condition.

Fjaak's path led them from the periphery to the centre and from there further through the world. Their self titled debut album for Monkeytown is as much of a summary of what had happened in the previous three years as it is an artistic statement. "FJAAK" combines the energetic peak-time sound of the Berlin-based trio's acclaimed Techno singles like 'Unten / Oben' with sophisticated breakbeat arrangements and atmospherically dense Ambient textures. These eleven tracks are the provisional highlight in a unique success story which started aside club culture's conventions and to this day refuses to compromise.

Felix Wagner, Aaron Röbig and Kevin Kozicki were still teenagers when they developed a distinct sound which positioned itself outside beaten paths, both geographically and musically speaking. The trio cut their teeth in Berlin-Spandau's open-air scene and celebrated their frst success in the city's center shortly thereafter before taking the Techno world by storm with their elaborate analogue sound. Having released a few records, they found a permanent home on Modeselektor's Monkeytown in 2014 while incessantly traveling the world.

Consisting of Koova (brokn toys), Pip Williams (Central Processing Unit) and Yes Effect, these three experienced producers have blown minds with their ecstatic live performances across the globe. Coming in hot after releases for Kirk Degiorgio's A.R.T. Records and Hypercolour, their release for International Black takes no prisoners. Opening the A side is 'Same Repeated Cycles', an ice cold electro inspired groove featuring LMA's signature modular synthesis. Engineered to perfection and mastered by Matt Colton, this cut delivers a new level of toughness to the International Black catalogue. On the B Side, 'Acid Lab' takes a more gentle approach: slo-mo electro drenched in acid. The lead tb303 riff floats in an abyss of dubbed-out dystopian psychedelia. Closing the record is 'Volatile State' , an otherworldly piece of alien sound design which simmers ominously for over 2 minutes before exploding with an extra-terrestrial electro force which simply can't be ignored. Each listen reveals a new detail of this impossibly intricate yet incredibly effective record. Designed for the club, engineered for the mind.

Delsin Records' Inertia series is back with a powerful four tracker from Yan Cook. The producer from Ukraine has also released Delsin's main label and associated Ann Aimee, as well as Planet Rhythm and Cooked. He makes straight up techno that arrests your attention and does just that again here. 'Toucan' is first and is a spangled, underwater techno track with gurgling lines wrapping round shuffling percussion and insistent drums. It's one to get into your head, while 'Puffin' is more physical, with more warped synths and paddy drums woven together into a fluid, rippling groove that never lets up. The drums on 'Dialogue' are deep and land with real resonance while dubby chords rattling out to the horizon. Last of all 'Flamingo' is the most manic of the lot, with hi speed synths and booming drums all coming together to make for powerful, sub shaking and room filling techno madness. TIP!!

Following their previous Mantra EP, Polybius Trax present here another three track EP from Mantra showcasing a variety of acid styles. Opening track, Blackout, is a solid, no-nonsense acid techno workout, perfect for a strobe filled warehouse, and features builds and drops layered with ethereal tones. Emanation is a maelstrom of moving synth sounds, bouncing delay lines and vocal-like klaxons that combine to disorientate the listener. Final track, Mirage is a classic bad attitude acid track with an unnerving acid line that weaves in and out of aggressive percussive lines.

Peter Van Hoesen presents Uncovered 2008-2018 Vol 1-3 - a three-part, 52 track compilation documenting his sound over ten years of the beloved Time To Express imprint. Consisting of Peter's unreleased tracks, rediscovered sketches and material from his live shows, Uncovered offers a coherent overview of his creative process during this period, deconstructing his inimitable aesthetic across three distinct volumes. Of the three volumes, each one chronicles a different aspect of his sound. Volume 2 shows 19 tracks on display, varying from slow, bass-heavy sludgers to more melodic electronica. The tape is a transparent, ferro copy produced on high-end Tapematic copying machines. All copies are hand-numbered by the artist

achim Nordwall marks 20 years of his iDEAL label with 'The Black Book', a blinding sweep of original material from JASSS, Stephen O'Malley, Ramleh, Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, Carlos Giffoni &
Prurient, Ectoplasm Girls, JH1.FS3, JS Aurelius, Autumns, John Duncan, and many more.The story of iDEAL starts out in London 1998, when Nordwall was living the hardscrabble life: working in an underwear shop near Liverpool Street station; living in a filthy Bayswater apartment; scoring industrial records from the Music and Video Exchange; getting drunk in cheap pubs, and dreaming of starting a new record label and platform. He called it iDEAL, and 180 releases, 20 years later, it has become an invaluable node for non-standard, wayward expressions of modern electronic noise in all its mutable variation.
iDEAL's success and longevity may well be down to the way that Nordwall treated it as a social and artistic home, offering a place where mutually exclusive styles could bed down away from the
mainstream or the genre police, and feed into a much larger, work-in-progress definition of fringe music. 'The Black Book' extends, in the spirit of the label, an idealised compilation of disparate possibilities connected by a sense of musical mystery and chaotic energy.
To focus on just a few highlights, the ever unpredictable JASSS makes a notable inclusion with the serene vignette of LP opener, 'Parental Youth', while Jim O'Rourke unfurls 17 minutes of gloaming post-industrial drone with 'In Regards'. Label friend Jonathan Uliel Saldanha contributes the tense, searching horns of 'Siren Frontier', and Ectoplasm Girls cook up the grim, thrumming electronics of 'Neuropean'. John Duncan parses the airwaves to find the curdling organism of 'Shortwave6', and Frederikke Hoffmeier (Puce Mary) and Jesse Sanes seduce with the narcotic drone-pop of 'At The Bottom Of The Night' as JH1.FS3, alongside a powerful rhythmic oddity from Stephen O'Malley,
a stark death rattle from Trepaneringsritualen as Týr × Reið × Vend with 'nd þau né átto, óð þau né hfðo', and Norn Iron's Autumns 'Lose It' on a mucky acid 'floor swille.

Pivotal, peerless DJ/selector and Minimal Wave overse'er Veronica Vasicka serves her solo debut on Downwards in 'From Here', a dank industrial-pop workout recorded in 2004 and
now issued for the first time, backed with sick remixes by Regis, Paul Kendall (Depeche Mode, Nitzer Ebb) and Robert Hampson (Loop, Main) in his lesser-spotted Chasm alias.
Penned on analog synth and 4-track tape recorder in 2004, one year before Veronica established the Minimal Wave label, the ripped metal textures and spectral vox of 'From Here' forms a rare snapshot of her daily, diaristic working practice, putting sounds to
tape as a personal form of expression that was never intended to be heard by other ears.
Lucky for us then, that Downwards' Karl O'Connor (Regis) has coaxed this dark, anxious beauty out for release, and teamed it with some very special remixes. 'From Here' renders Veronica in the dark, naturally working against the grain of 2004's
underground dance music trends to pursue her passion for classic and obscure strains of dance music, from New Wave to Italo and early house - all the kind that would turn up on her regular show for East Village Radio, the Manhattan, NYC station she co-founded in 2003. With hindsight, we hear Veronica as a displaced soul doing her thing in a way that would become inarguably more widespread over the coming decade and more, which was in no small part due to her focussed efforts working behind the scenes, overlapping and fomenting a nexus of musics that shared more in common than was usually acknowledged at that time.
Now appearing in 2018, 'From Here' perhaps finally feels at home in the skin of a scene obsessed with ghosts in the machine. And the remixes only emphasise the material's timeless, out-of-joint nature: from a slickly arpeggiated Regis version which sounds like
it could have been made any time between 1981 to 2018, thru to a pummelled and serrated industrial remix from Paul Kendall, who has previously worked on classics by Depeche Mode and Nitzer Ebb, to a killer and maybe surprising highlight from Robert Hampson as Chasm, stoking it with gnashing drum machines and keening dub FX for a sort of industrial-dub-dance-pop sidewinding outta time and place.

Born in Windsor CT and based in Bushwick Brooklyn, AceMo is a rising producer / DJ in the NYC underground. Growing up in a Nuyorican / Dominican household Ace was raised on salsa and soul, playing in Latin jazz youth ensembles and marching bands. A multi-instrumentalist and lifelong musician, Ace started producing in 2009 at age 16. After a string of releases culminating with the Black Populous full length on Bootleg tapes, AceMo returns with an eponymous 4 tracker on Vanity Press, showcasing a clean style of production balanced with dirt and grit.

Describing his own journey, FitzGerald describes the process behind this album: "Last winter, during a period of intense mental isolation/ alienation, totally consumed in the research for this album, I started to feel disconnected from humankind to an extent that i felt no-longer human Instead, I felt as if I was a visiting body watching a society implode. This album presents a perspective genuinely lacking comprehension of the current state of the world and how we've let it get so far gone"

Emile Facey (Plant43) has been at the forefront of electronic for more than twelve years. During that time the British producer has released on a host of seminal labels, expanding his style and sound in new directions. Although Plant43 is typically classified as a purveyor of electro, behind those driving rhythms and steely percussion a tenderness has always been present, an emotion expressed in lilting melodies and complex harmonies. It is these melodies and harmonies that come into focus on Plant43's debut ambient album. On "From Deep Streams" is a rich and textured tapestry of synth work, a soundtrack that organically unfurls from nightime woodland walks and city stargazing to mindful solitude. The eight tracks offer the listener a calming journey into stillness, an excursion through gentle audio currents and a moment to pause and take in an inspiring vista of sound. Cosmic Force returns to Something Happening Somewhere for an all-out ghetto affair in collaboration with the mighty Dexter. Four relentless and unpretentious dance floor cuts with a high energy high fun(k) factor. It's as high of a dose of the magical alchemy between man and derailing machines as you can find. Every second of this record feels like entering an unknown dangerous zone, blink once and someone could sweep out the motherboard beneath you and turn everything inside out. Drum Techniek is like taking a LCD drumbeat mixed in a blender with some vitalising capacitor hallucinogens. If the undeniable groove of the first one and a half minute isn't enough, a jaw shattering bass line creates even more bad ass vigour. Geheugen Meuk's unstoppable energy train is fuelled by a hypnotising stomping bass line that is intersected by warbled dystopian chords. Lost in the transistor mind, the memory chip slowly starts emitting smoke and shape shifts beyond the point of recognition. Leaving the gates open for uncontrollable off script imagination to reign.

Sloppenwijkkont takes the same approach as Geheugen Meuk but adds a more defined West Coast flavour. Baslijn In Opstand does exactly what it says on the can, like the electronic music interface decided to stop obeying and took over the controls to produce the music it favours. All this music is not for the faint hearted but will prove an incredible addition to anyones dance floor arsenal for those moments which need some extra psycholetric firepower.

Hailing from Michigan now based in Seattle, producer Taylor Hawkins offers 4 tracks for his debut on Vanity Press Records. Though a new name to most, he's no stranger to the game, with releases under the alias Community Corporation on the Crisis Urbana and Argot labels. In shifting to the Flora FM moniker, Hawkins explores aquatic themes and space funk while retaining an undeniable Midwest bounce.

Mijo aka Alec Sander is a legend and you must know this by now. The Mexican born, Japanese raised and taco lover producer makes his solo EP debut with Duro. 'THXTASY' is one of those many forgotten gems you can find inside Alec's dusty laptop hard drive, charged with plenty of rawness and humor; two of the main Mijo ingredients.

The single is splendidly accompanied: on the A-side we have the upcoming rising superstar Paulor (whose career is currently being endorsed by Rebolledo and Pachanga Boys) with a strong, guitar driven mix. B-side goes more eclectic: D.Y.O.R. aka Dig Your Own Rave, from Spain, delivers an epic madchester style acid odyssey, while The Chica, from Argentina, delivers an edgier punk house mix. Enjoy!
