The Original mix featured here is probably the best mix and was only released on the limited to highly limited Art Of Dance Sampler 12."

It's heartening to see an artist strike upon an idea, an aesthetic, an approach of some kind, and channel that into a cohesive catalogue of work, not least when it's one of your mates. To the outside world Rhythmic Theory appears to operate with a shroud of mystery around him, but to us he's a long-standing patron and parental figure in the development of Idle Hands. From the first strains of murky, UK-rooted techno that emerged from his enviable studio, it was clear that this was an artist who had finally found that elusive creative purpose in which to channel his imagination. Now after bearing down heavy on our own label, his own label, BRSTL, Happy Skull, Ancient Monarchy and A14 over the past four years, it's a true pleasure to be presenting Rhythmic Theory's debut album. You can never be sure quite how an artist will tackle the challenge of the long player, but the Bristol scene stalwart has delivered a concise artistic statement that builds on the themes laid out in his prior singles while capitalising on the wider space in which to express himself. The strings that linger in the upper reaches of the frequency band on "Longevity" call out to the sci-fi yearning of early Detroit techno, but laced with a very British bitterness. The blown out piano chords and sultry sax licks of "Waldrons Lament" evoke seedy late nights and '90s sample culture in an utterly haunting fashion. The gently lilting pads on "Interlude" swoop down in a reverie so blissful it's hard not to reach for the nearest hammock. This is an album of deeply emotional music. It's not all heartfelt niceties and eye-welling moods though. Rhythmic Theory did after all come to light (or should that be dark) in the gloomy alleyways of UK soundsystem music begat from dubstep and all that other stuff. "Creeper" is on hand to affirm that this is a record still steeped in true, stern moodiness, where a stalking sub line, some metallic percussion and an icy drone can still strike fear more than a thousand angry wobble basslines. It's worth noting how much attention has been given to shorter vignettes. As well as the aforementioned, cryptically titled "Interlude", "Work Of Fiction" and "End (of Forever)" both give insights into the places Rhythmic Theory cares to roam beyond the structure of a long form track. These are places where melancholic or downright ambiguous dispositions interplay with each other, from the synthetic to the earthly, the malevolent to the tender. In the end, even at its most monochromatic, nothing is black and white on Rhythmic Theory's debut album, and that's just fine with us.

'Ritmische Bezinning' shows Hiele's journey into his world of lucid, hard to pinpoint electronica that keeps on evolving into more individual styles with each release. Exactly on the verge of what is expected and pleasantly surprising, Hiele's layered compositions prove to be material for the experienced listener.

We have seen Jorge Velez's at his most adventurous when working with L.I.E.S. Here he's at again with a set of hypnotic tripping arrangements.. TIP!
From 2012's "Hassan" lp to his "Territories" record from a couple years back we now hear Velez taking his sound into new realms on this five track effort. In what can be called a foray into animal -themed electronic experimentation - recorded using only Fairlight CMI samples and a Microbrute synthesizer - we hear a melodic side to his sound previously not present in other works. Hints of Musique Concrete as well as Eastern influences creep about in a teasing manner bringing the listener into a dream world of digi-nature, electronic bird chips and 8-bit waterfalls.. A welcome and refreshingly unique listen.

Adam X is back with his third album release under his industrial guise, ADMX-71.
Following releases with the legendary label Hands and his own imprint, Sonic Groove Experiments, Adam paired up with L.I.E.S Records in 2014 for Redacted Files, a 12' single of slowed-down and tense EBM wizardry. Adam returns to the L.I.E.S. front with Coherent Abstractions, a brand new album of singular experiments that pull from every corner of electronic music's landscape into a comprehensive and propulsive full-length.

Coherent Abstractions pulsates with fractured rhythms, vacillating melodies and mesmerizing compositions that showcase Adam's impressive history working in all aspects of the underbelly of electronic music. Noise and industrial elements seep into the album's 11 songs, churning the cold and abrasive into feverish new territory. Though Coherent Abstractions operates primarily in sounds of solitude, guest vocalist Janina joins "Bound and Broken" for a rare vocal collaboration on an ADMX-71 track. We also hear a frantic vocal performance from the producer on Nearing Obliteration which is undoubtedly the apex of the album.

Throughout the album the music sweeps from breakbeat noir, anxious electronic dub to reflective industrial modes making Coherent Abstractions an engaging and varied listen, updating a late 80's EBM tone into modern sound design environments, while pushing a reverence for the past and heading into the deep unknown of the future.

For those unfamiliar with Adam's deeply rooted history in the New York underground, he and his brother, Frankie Bones, pioneered techno in a post-disco, pre-Guiliani, New York City through the late-eighties and onwards past the nineties producing countless records under various guises and finally opening their own shop and record label, Sonic Groove. At the same time they began throwing renegade parties, known as STORM RAVE throughout the 5 boroughs. which was, until this time unheard of in such a major U.S. metropolis and opened the door for what was to come.

After countless singles, LPs and performances played around the world, James Donadio is back with his first full length effort since 2014s "Petit Cochon".

"Ghost Detergent" is a consummate amalgam of fried gear, chunky bass and fractured samples. Donadio's extraordinary ability to fuse his wide range of influences into a collection of lucidly executed and concise jams has reached it's paragon.

"Ghost Detergent" is a rhythm-centric maze of fluctuating patterns adorned with crooked fills and raucous melody.Tracks like "Nerve and Gall" and "Government Wrecker" stomp with a coarse, grinding fuss gliding on swinging bottomless bassline turbulence. Locked in puzzle-like sampling patchwork collides perfectly with an array of rogue electronics creating a sense of daring nearly extinct in the age of gridlocked BPM-steady 12"s. Tracks like "Pregnant Toad" and "Cheap Amplifiers" play out like a Def Jam bonus beat with ripping, cough syrup slathered DMX snare sounds. "Ghost Detergent" has an unhinged, unrelenting churn that stares squarely into a personal vacuum, remaining uninfluenced by the influencers and unflinching in its originality. Neither bird nor egg are relevant here.

Prostitutes has managed to carve out it's own tenure in contemporary electronic music by delivering in live performance and by shattering expectations on records. Never does the aesthetic outweigh the content, and "Ghost Detergent" delivers only the wheat and none of the chaff.

Almost a year after his last outing, London-based Vester Koza is making a welcome return to the fray with a new EP entitled OTR. Featuring four atmospheric cuts, for the first time it finds him step away from his own Maslo label to join Houndstooth.
Fusing elements of dub, ambient and IDM into moody sound worlds with you right at the centre, he has a subtle but seductive touch that has always marked him out. An on-going interest in security, technology and privacy characterizes his work, as does a passion for the vintage and modern gear he uses when producing. All of that is evident here in his most cerebral and conceptual release yet.

Biosphere is the main recording name of Geir Jenssen (born 30 May 1962),(1) a Norwegian musician who has released a notable catalogue of ambient electronic music. He is well known for his works on ambient techno and arctic themed pieces, his use of music loops, and peculiar samples from sci-fi sources. His 1997 album Substrata was voted by the users of the Hyperreal website in 2001 as the best all-time classic ambient album.

Patashnik was originally released by R&S Records/Apollo in 1994. It was number 1 in NME´s Independent Chart in March 1994 and reached number 50 in the UK official album chart.

The track Novelty Waves was used in Michel Gondry's Levi's 501 Jeans "Drugstore" spot, and holds - according to the Guinness World Records 2004, the record for "Most awards won by a TV commercial".

One reason why Jenssen's work stands out from the flood of early '90s ambient/techno releases is his strong sense of the quirkily creepy -- not in an Aphex Twin mode, but in his own particular way. The contrasting samples of a child quaveringly saying, "We had a dream last night," followed by a rougher sample saying, "We had the same dream," gives opening number "Phantasm" an unsettling feeling. Intensified by the, on the one hand, pretty, on the other, disturbing music, buried synth strings and a soft pulse accentuated by clattering noises deep in the mix, it kicks off the striking Patashnik very well. Though not as openly dark as acts like Lull, for instance, Biosphere still has an edge which isn't just melancholic, it's downright ominous at point. There's the slow crawl of "Startoucher," for instance, with its buried vocal snippets and deep bass drone, or the blend of the space signal atmospheres of "Mir" into the low, brooding intro to "The Shield." Not everything is so shadowy, though, Patashnik is primarily a relax and chill listening experience, but not without its gentle high points. "Novelty Waves," which became a crossover single in some quarters, has a good dancefloor sharpness to it even as Jenssen slyly sneaks in odd drones and samples through the mix. The opening snippet talking about an extraterrestrial disc jockey on "SETI Project" is good for a smile, as well as acting as a sharp lead-in to a fast rhythm track. Mostly, though, things continue on a deliciously unnerving pace throughout, gentle enough to go down easy but still just off enough to ensure you can't call this new age folderol for the rave generation.

From the ruins of the birthplace of techno, Detroit Underground's twenty third release reunites Detroit producers Kero & Kyle Hall for their sophomore effort, appropriately titled TWO. Building on the toxic, dubbed out neo-acid of 2012's Zug Island/K2 Attack single, TWO features four tracks from the city's established master of left field beats and Detroit Techno's brightest new star, with the pair of each produced in each other's studios in Windsor and Detroit respectively.

Beginning with 126BPMNONAME's crisp beats, spare atmosphere and wonky 909 grooves, the EP's A side culminates in the full out rocking EP2-3, driven by a strong and infectious digital riff.

Side B by comparison offers two club use tracks in Polydextrose and RIVERSIDE CONNEXTION, which reflect contemporary electronic music's current fascination with outsider production, 1980s wave music, while still delivering a pulsing and relentless dance floor beat.

If the music weren't attraction enough, TWO also marks the beginning of a new collaboration between the heavily design engaged Detroit Underground and The Designer's Republic. A label in the making for quite some time now. With the overwhelming amount of talent here in the Lone Star state, it became apparent a label with the purpose of solely showcasing DJ's and producers from this state was in order. From the border of Mexico all the way up to the panhandle, you will hear LPs and EPs spanning the musical gamut with no concern for seeking specific genres. If it's good, it's good and you'll hear it.

A busy year ahead for techno label Signal Code Records. Last year seen vinyls from label head Costelloe along with Duplex, Mark du Mosh, Defekt and Simoncino. The labels sound has grown into an indescribable mix of future retro techno. Taking a classic sound and putting a modern twist on it.

It's a busy start to 2015 with two hot 12''s already planned for the first two months. The first is a 4 tracker from label head Costelloe featuring two remixes from Glasgow power house and Clone and Creme Organisation regular Marco Bernardi. Classic techno and electro given a modern twist.

Quickly following the release will see a 12'' from L.I.E.S man Simoncino with Sex Tag Mania's DJ Sotofett providing a dubbed out mix. It's a busy start for 2015.

The label from The Bunker, New York, kicks off with a long-awaited debut EP from Leisure Muffin, aka Michael Hopkins, a regular attendee and performer at the party since it first originated in 2003.

For over a decade, The Bunker has been a storied night of musical exploration in New York City. The adventurous electronic music lineups—which bring together fringe artists who also know how to move a dancefloor—made the party legendary amongst NYC cognescenti. Starting a record label was the next natural step in The Bunker's evolution, featuring contributions from artists who frequent the shadows of the party and established guests.

The centerpiece of the record is "In Wearable Hertz," a soaring nine-minute epic pairing modular synths with violin played by Elizabeth Warren. The elegiac music brings to mind the cinematic sweep of vintage Klaus Schulze, the expanding universe of Laurie Spiegel. "Heldscalia" begins with a disorienting cascade of filter sweeps before falling into a deep pool of sound. "Alys" recalls vintage LFO and 808 State, while sounding ruthlessly modern - a banging dancefloor anthem for an alternate reality.

Leisure Muffin produced this EP in 2013 under very difficult circumstances. When he found out his mother was dying, he packed up everything, quit his job, and left a girlfriend behind in the Bay Area to move to Maine to take care of her. Making the EP in a studio right next to his mother was the only thing that kept him sane during this time. He showed her the basics of how his modular worked, and she would sit in on his sessions. She was particularly fond of 'In Wearable Hertz,' which he finished shortly before she died.

Leisure Muffin's modern take on kosmische music is not easy to pin down. Influences and reference points are extraordinarily wide-ranged, but include early Warp (Seefeel, Autechre, and Aphex), Drexciya, Skinny Puppy, Meat Beat Manifesto, Coil, and Perrey and Kingsley. He was also deeply influenced by the sound of The Bunker (and other) dancefloors. A former audio engineering educator, Hopkins has a mastery of both Ableton Live and modular synthesizers. After drooling over, and even borrowing some key pieces of gear from Sarah Lawrence College and Charles Cohen's studio over the years, the recent advent of more affordable modular equipment meant that he finally has a dream setup of his own.

'The fact that modular synths have become affordable now has really helped,' he says. 'I always wanted to be writing using that stuff and after waiting for a really long time, I finally have the kind of setup I always dreamed of.'

It makes sense that someone with Leisure Muffin's broad tastes makes music that is hard to classify. When most people tell you that they love all forms of music, further examination of their claim usually leads to disappointment. This isn't the case for Leisure Muffin. If you join him for tea, you could end up listening to an accordion record as easily as you might hear electronic music. He spent most of his life working in some of the best and worst record stores in the USA, for the pure joy of being able to hear new sounds every day (remember kids, most of this was pre-Soundcloud, pre-Youtube, etc). If you talk to him you might hear about the pleasures of attending the symphony after eating a pot brownie or how you should listen to African Juju records from the 1930s. .

"I don't know what to call it--I really just make the kind of stuff that I want to hear,' he says. 'And honestly, if I didn't love dancing and playing at dance parties so much, I'd probably just be locked in a room somewhere torturing synthesizers or playing boring whale sound guitar solos for hours. Actually, I suppose I do a fair amount of that anyway. Maybe that's why it's taken me almost 20 years to actually release something that anybody is interested in putting out."

In the mid-90's, he was playing shows in clubs in the Lower East Side (Den of Thieves, Unity Gain, Tonic) when he was too young to drink. He pulled off a lot of great sets over the following years and built a reputation as a live electronic performer during an era when that was far less common. Live recordings of both his solo sets and his duos with Charles Cohen made the rounds among good friends (including The Bunker New York bossman Bryan Kasenic), but finishing a studio album had, until now, eluded him.

With the encouragement of Kasenic and The Bunker New York family, Leisure Muffin finally managed to finish an EP in the studio, and we couldn't be happier with the results.

Position 12 is a story telling record inspired by the childhood of Romain Azzaro, aka Rouge Mécanique. One introduction and two dance pieces extracted from the crude reality he had to experience at an early age. The evolving sound of this EP throws its listeners into the dark and violent places that belong to his past. The childish melody of the intro suddenly opens on an intense break beat and ends with Vimory, a brutal and profound track.

After putting out three excellent mixtapes (from Andrew Lyster, Leif & Joe Ellis and Nick Craddock respectively), Collapsing Market are now ready to release their first record. Eszaid (aka Louis Vial, one half of Mura Oka) inaugurates the imprint with four foreboding & gloomy trips that traverse through techno's darker shades into haunting ambient. Louis Vial merges slow drum patterns with foggy textures and sparse arrangements, reminiscent of early Kassem Mosse material. This is an incredibly affecting and mature first EP from the young producer who launches the label in the best way possible... And look out for the thoughtful artwork including a beautiful OBI strip and reflective silver sleeve!

Holden and Luke Abbott flirt with the New Age in this split double album, with a pair of extended synth meditations indulging their respective loves of arpeggio and drone, originally composed for the occasion of Terry Riley's 80th birthday.
Holden's 'Outdoor Museum Of Fractals' fuses the endlessly unfolding fractal complexity of luxurious washes of arpeggiations with the pitched tabla drumming of Camilo Tirado, co-pilot on this hypnotic, meditative journey.Luke Abbott's metallic gong-drone offering '555Hz' layers this mystical frequency and its related harmonics in a sequence of transportive wave-like swells.
Running to over 45 and 30 minutes apiece in digital form but split in two to fit on the vinyl. The heavyweight double vinyl also includes uninterrupted digital download codes.

Und genau darum dreht sich auch Verbalizer, das nun erscheinende Album von Anthony Rother, auf seinem neuen Label Nextdata.

Der Club als abstrakter Raum. Es geht um das Loslassen. Menschen machen sich frei, begegnen einander
und die Musik wird zum gemeinsamen Taktgeber.

Irgendwann nennt Rother diesen Prozess - die Dramaturgie der Ekstase', kann sich dabei aber das Grinsen
nicht verkneifen. - Die Leute sollen mit Verbalizer einfach ihren Spaß haben. Ich stand im Club und fühlte
plötzlich den Sound für dieses Album.

Verbalizer treibt im Raum nach vorn, ohne ins Intellektuelle abzugleiten. Es ist die Geschichte, der Augenblick und das anbrechende Abenteuer einer tanzenden Gesellschaft, irgendwo auf dieser Welt.
- Ich war auf der Suche nach einem expandierenden Klang. Dabei war wichtig, wie ich diesen Sound den Synthesizern in meinem Studio entlocke, so dass dabei eine Kraft entsteht, die alles Weltliche und den Alltag beiseite zu drücken vermag', erklärt Rother den hedonistischen Ansatz von Verbalizer.

Club-Tracks wie diese kommen ihrem Wesen nach ohne erzählerische Inhalte aus. Dennoch sorgen sie
beim Hörer für das Durchleben - oder besser für das Durchtanzen - ihrer ganz eigenen Geschichte. - Einige meiner vorherigen Alben haben ein komplex durchdachtes Konzept. Verbalizer wechselt
dagegen vollkommen die Perspektive: Der Inhalt und was sich aus dem Album ergibt liegt im Körperlichen, dem unaussprechlichen.'
Um es also kurz zu machen: Verbalizer - um zu verstehen, sollte
man das Album feiern.

DeepChord and Echospace started off as barely more than a rumor supported mostly by the continous scarcity of their records. The duo comprised of Detroit's Rod Modell and Chicago's Steven Hitchell have spent nearly two decades producing low-key electronic music both bordering on the verge of myth. They're considered by many the most noted producers operating in the dub-infused aftermath of the Basic Channel axis and all its myriad offshoots. Their landmark album, "The Coldest Season" on the celebrated Modern Love imprint was named album of the year in over 40 different magazines around the world and was listed as one of "The Best Albums Of The Decade" in Resident Advisor. The Detroit duo also record under a a variety of monikers (cv313, deepchord, intrusion, phase90, variant, etc.) and have continued to carve out an evocative, immersive sound born out of a love and passion for analog circuitry, sound design, field recordings and non-conventional methods of recording. But it's also work that's quintessentially building upon the Detroit electronic scene where it was born, and that divine marriage of roots and vision make the work at once so highly considered, so pertinent and so timeless. This marks the first Echospace (Rod Modell & Stephen Hitchell) project since 2012's, "Silent World" album release. On this new project, a collaboration with one of their closest friends and mentor, the late Michael Mantra, who's contribution to society cannot be overstated. Michael's theories on 'Brain Hemisphere Harmonic Healing' were instrumental in the development of vibrational and sonic therapy. His experiments in the neural affects of sound paved the way for for what has now become healing music. In his honor, we're moving forward with a project we started some years ago and has finally come to form. Echospace plays Michael Mantra, "Sea Shell City" is a 70 minute voyage into the furthest depths of the mind, featuring three tracks of ambient drone-based sonic worlds. Where gentle waves of organic harmonics induce an almost meditative state of being. On this album sounds were sculpted with the use of hydrophones, piezoelectric transducers, wind harps, and binaural dummy-head microphones creating snapshots of normally unheard sonic worlds. Analogue oceans in slow motion, allowing one's mind to float into those mystical quiet zones, the brain hemisphere-sync effect Michael Mantra fostered for nearly three decades is ever present. We're continuously reflecting on the teachings of Michael and in his honor, preserving the essence of sound and vibrational healing through music for immersive journeys into the vast beauty of atmosphere, the mind, nature and the inner self.

Sequential Sleep is an ambient two-part CD release made for dreaming, a sonic travelogue set in multiple locations within a winter forest. Everything in its natural environment is magnified with a 7:1 field recorder that captures the purest form of nature. Utilizing newly developed forms of fm, granular and modular synthesis allowed this project to unravel in ways we never expected; like a visitor on foreign lands. Harmonic angelic sequences continuously ebb and flow, slowly moving, like the tides meet an estuary. Slowly evolving electric currents fluctuate in their purest essence possessing the closest reach towards a pure analog sound experience. The interchange and combination of field recordings and spectrum of sounds via various 16-step sequences become alive, taking on an organic yet expansive, and three-dimensional sound design which is out of this world. In the space-time continuum, every sound travels back down to earth within the spatial expanse, where recordings take on their own natural life in paradisiac existence.

Based on the Sufi teachings of sound—appreggiation and vibration, this music's vibrational pull of oscillating frequencies are founded on chord repetition, so too like chants that heal and allow the mind to reach meditative states. These immersive zones are the platform for a pure, rejuvenating, aqueous trance-like experience of endless possibilities. Freely flowing and comforted, just as a mother's womb, the unconscious mind embraces all. These are songs that warmly envelope, soothe and heal the soul. Nearly 2.5 hours, both sonic journeys are adaptations of the other and the essence of the vision. And, its sequences are steps into a dream, the steps into enchantment.

Dutch label Field is ready to complete its recent trilogy of album projects. Following double albums by L'estasi Dell'oro and D.A.R.F.D.H.S., now comes The Information Is Coming From The Server, a debut album from Kartei, aka Crysta Patterson and Voiski. Kartei have hooked up only once before, putting out a well received 12" on Wille Burns' W.T. Records back in 2011. That was Patterson's only project to date, but Voiski has been active for years, working under a number of aliases and releasing on labels like Field, L.I.E.S. and Syncrophone. The duo started their cyber technopop act in 2007, performing contextual actions on more alternative scenes. Their working ethos is based on collecting data from the internet to create new material. Data and songs are preserved into their server systematically. The album they serve up here is a condensed compilation of their archive, which can be described as clean and melodic, subtly uplifting and calls on classic techno as well as plenty of futuristic ideals. Grooves are quick and slick, synths are well crafted and emotive and everything is underpinned by a motor kick that powers the album along. Tracks like the bubbly 'Sunset' make for moments of calmer reflection between more trip out kickers like 'Kartei gets Fat'. New wave vocals and sombre chords, bleepy melodies and celestial pads also feature throughout this album, and all in all adds up to a terrifically journeying album of fresh electronic sounds.

At Barba we are old wise men, not so easily excited. But nothing gets our old fisherman joints up and moving like three tracks of pure strong machine groove. In part 2 of the Laffer EP Marco Bernardi is going head down, straight ahead and striving for energy. Attack of the Dessert Stormers is an overload of dark electro power, six minutes of squirming bassline-driven movement with surges of intensity from analogue bleeps and subtle drum pattern shifts. There's no let up on the flip side where Two Sliders brings equal force but in a more techno style. Right from the start you'll be grabbed by the bassline, but this one rewards extended listening as the track develops progressively with new melodies and metallic touches taking you deeper and deeper. There's a moment of sweetness to end our journey with ''There's always tomorrow'', a chiming melodic ramble through tinfoil meadows that will fit beautifully into a warmup set. Please don't sleep on this record - it's not often you see so much power and so much subtlety in the same package!

Was it her, or was I again lost in my own dementia How in the living world could this be I sipped on my medicine and fell into a deep sleep. I awoke days later to see her sooty eyeballs rolling over my entire body. Her Black Wings seemed to stretch over a mile wide. Axel Sohns the label founder expressed how he wants to mix up the old and new styles of Techno and give people back a sound that quite simply makes you not only want to dance and leaves you thinking 'how the fuck did they make that sound'

Dibu-Z - Pyroclastic Flow
The E.P. serves up the perfect starter. Dibu-Z's pulsing electro bass breaks into a chunky concoction of electronic murmurings and gets the EP off to a perfect start. There is never a dull moment every sound is well thought out and unique. This tune alone is worth the money for this EP. It will fill a dance floor in seconds and if it doesn't your playing at the wrong party.

TSR - Matlagningsmusik
Main course. Yet again TSR bring something deliciously funky to the table. The Deep groove is controlled until the lead synth decides to, quite simply, get up and leave and then all manner of madness prevails. At times this track leaves you thinking 'that's genius' but then what else did you expect from TSR.

Thomas Schneider - Schwarze Flut
This is dark and deep like a vintage port. The bass pulses menacingly throughout the track whilst the vocals twist and wind their way through the darkness. Turn the lights down or off and let the walls shake.

Oliver Rosemann - Murky Beer Can
For desert Oliver goes full fat with this sugar coated groove that mixes old and new styles beautifully. The groove struggles to break free but is kept in check whilst the beat pounds on but every now again the lead comes out to play. This is a perfect example of how Techno should sound.

Scott Robinson - Explain
Scott serves the bitter and black 'wake-me-up. The chopped up bass line propels the listener through a maze of industrial and mechanical bangs and clangs; if robots could party they would probably bang this track on.

To sum up, if you are sick of 'Template Techno' then this EP is for you as it breaks the formulaic mould of so much modern electronic music. You can certainly Taste the difference after this Techno Feast... simply perfect to keep you up on those hot summer nights.

Dublin's Colin Cloughley lands on Analogical Force for the 3rd drop. Anodyne needs no further introduction, the Skam fiends among you may remember his name since the 'Save A Prayer' remix on Mask 500 some years ago or listening to Rob Hall playin' his tunes systematically. Besides Skam Colin has released a slew of records on Combat Recordings, Yellow Machines or Acroplane and some of his tracks have been remixed by his personal heroes such as Autechre, Plaid, The Black Dog or Funckarma among others. We're very pleased to bring you the new stuff. "Nothing Lasts EP" deals 3 tracks of abstract electro/IDM, hearkening you back to classics from Gescom and early Ae. Solid breaks and sky-scanning esoteric synthlines sure to elicit a shiver of melancholy and emotive nostalgia. Anodyne put a lot of thought and attention-to-detail in his music and draw on influences outside of the standard Detroit/Kraftwerk axis in order to make their music distinctive from others, check it out. Closing the EP, probably one the most exciting dancefloor weapon left on the Skam books, Manchester's Mr76ix, relaxes tension turning 'Reflections of a Broken Soul' into a deep acid mutation, sprinkling sweet playful melodies in a shiny Windowlicker-styled 4/4 feel. Hand-numbered and limited to 300 copies as usual. Don't sleep.

Hamburg artist SPR made a most intriguing debut earlier this year, inaugurating the V I S label from Pudel's Nina and Tobias Duffner with the abstract and affecting EP 1. SPR now resurfaces on JSME, a fresh new concern from Berlin-based artist Saele Valese, delivering a quite intoxicating three track foray into immersive sound design with the enigmatic title Her Eyes Are An Abyss. Lead track "Untitled Ritual" sets the tone, a faint beat taking on the appearance of irregular and distant footsteps amidst some unnerving ambience, whilst "The Purest Ore Is Produced From The Hottest Furnace" is reminiscent of the recent, under-rated Sa Pa album on Forum. The title tracks hogs the B side and is quite beautiful.

Following the launch of his limited multi edition FORMAT project in February, Trevor Jackson releases a collected triple LP edition via The Vinyl Factory on the 18 May featuring 13 tracks including an exclusive bonus cut not available on any of the initial releases.

FORMAT is the first album from Trevor Jackson since his acclaimed Playgroup album back in 2001. His Output Recordings label (1996-2006) introduced the world to the likes of Four Tet & LCD Soundsystem, His recent Metal Dance compilations reinvigorated interest in early industrial and experimental electronic dance music that's clearly had a powerful influence on much of today's leftfield club music.

FORMAT's initial limited edition release in February consisted of 12 separate physical releases each featuring a different track, available on 12', 10' & 7' vinyl cd, mini CD, cassette, USB, VHS, minidisc, DAT, 8 track + Reel to Reel this was no ordinary release - it charted the legacy of the physical music format, in a characteristically beautiful and uncompromising way. An accompanying installation at The Vinyl Factory space at Brewer Street Car Park in London offered people the opportunity to listen to the album as a unique audio-visual experience.

Curated from an archive of over 150 tracks Trevor had built up over the past 2 decades, the inspiration for Jackson's music, has come from 'the times and places where genres weren't quite formed.' While his synth and beatbox workouts might touch on proto-house, on new wave, on Italo and techno, on ambient and psychedelia, they are at the same time none of these things.

Elegies-in-waiting to the monotonous dread of exploitative labour, dosed with elliptical distortion, industrial noise and ear-crushing bass. in the lineage of Pan Sonic, Sun O))), and the more gruelling Scott Walker productions. Vex'd veteran Roly Porter drops by with a sci-fi reinvention of Council Flat, trading in IF's mogadon footwork and megaton polyrhythms for a less apocalyptic, more introspective blend of modern classical, dark ambient and dirty stinking breakbeat.

First outing for newly minted Glasgow-based label Work For Love. The inaugural strike comes from none other than Timothy J Fairplay, the synthesizer warlock known for his involvement in 'The Axis', a loose unit comprising of mutual interests revolving around the studio complex Timothy shares with Andrew Weatherall and his own partner in Crimes of The Future Scott Fraser.

'No News From New York' is Timothy's most engaging, dynamic and emotional work to date. Building on his previous works for esteemed labels such as Emotional Response, World Unknown, Astro Lab and Weatherall's Bird Scarer, here Tim lays open his dynamic and eclectic range of influences ranging from simple but deadly effective soundtracks of John Carpenter, the warped occult Techno of Legowelt and straight down to the subversive electronic riffs of 80's synth-pop. All of course put through the inimitable Tim Fairplay filter, which makes for a unique and diverse listening experience that works just as well in the domestic environ as does on the dancefloor.

As usual we hear the artist taking the traditional blueprints of Chicago House and putting his own signature chops to it resulting in a bizzare mix up of jacking madness that will get the floor going wild. Amazing stuff that is not to be missed

Hotflush Recordings is delighted to announce the arrival of a second full length from Sepalcure, the American duo made up of Travis Machinedrum' Stewart and Praveen Braille' Sharma. Arriving four and a half years since their acclaimed debut, 11 track album Folding Time is a singular and tender statement that lands in May 2016.

This special coming together of distinctive musical minds produced a much-loved, self-titled debut LP in 2011, plus six EPs between 2010 and 2013, all of which suggested a penchant for broken beats and bright melodics. Both have since furthered their accomplished solo careers - Braille released his debut solo album Mute Swan, while Machinedrum's experimental exploration of Vapor City landed on Ninja Tune - that have kept them busy in the studio as well as on the road. As such, and owing to their insistence that any production work had to be done in person "since that results in a certain sound and experience you just can't recreate remotely', the new record took some time to come together.

The album, written over many bottles of whiskey, is made up of brand new music, but also tracks that have been worked on, forgotten, then revived over many years. Its title comes from the fact that, it felt like we were connecting the present with the past.

Going through each session was like digging through old memories.' Stylistically, of course, this pair have very different musical DNAs, but that means studio work cooks up many surprises along they way and results in an album that is awash with everything from field recordings to guitars and electric piano. It is a mix of playing and programming, has many multilayered tracks full of intimate and personal easter eggs and is, essentially, two homies hanging out and having fun, a meeting of our minds.'

Right from the distant vocal mutters and blissful guitar licks of opener 'Fight For Us' featuring Rochelle Jordan there is an seductive r&b sensibility to proceedings. Tumbling drums and pained vocals have you in a love locked free-fall before 'Not Gonna Make It' gets to the point with Sepulcure's trademark stuttering drums and fractured vox. 'Devil Inside,' featuring the pair's long time friend and collaborator Angelica Bess, is future pop from a perfect world, 'No Honey' strips things back to a harmonic headspace of bumpy rubber kicks and percolating jungle percussion, then 'Been So True' shows a playful side, lovable sense of sampling and broken reggae rhythm. The second half of the album explores direct dance floor grooves on 'Hearts in Danger', snaking synths and reverb rich beats on 'Loosen Up' and deeper, more introspective moments on tracks like 'Dub Of' and 'Brother Forest' before closing down with a brace of blissfully melodic and dreamy excursions to a beach during sun down.

With plenty of well-paced peaks and troughs along the way, as well as a underlying sense of humour and a very real human warmth, this is an album that works on both head and heel in equal measure.

Having already released on MOS Recordings' sub label MOS Deep before now, Stephen Lopkin is now back with a second four track effort, due for release in April. The Scottish artist has been making prickly house and techno for almost a decade now, and on the four cuts here he once again showcases a serene and slick style.
Opener 'Och Aye' is Detroit styled cut with rich synths dancing about above rubber drums. It makes for a shiny, electrified atmosphere that is clean and sleek and emotive. 'Weegie in Wigan' is a much more peak time cut of cackling percussion, sombre chords dampening down raw drums and a wild FM baseline that adds an old school feel. On the flip, 'Ball & Chain' is another busy house effort that has hi hats spinning like plates, thudding kicks and whole eco systems of synths darting about while 'Meall' ends the EP on a masterfully melodic and heavenly groove that journeys through the starry night sky, wired up with electronics and stuffed with machine made soul.

Danish NORD Records are ready with their eighth record. This time NORD007 is made by Central. The EP contains four hard-hitting techno tracks straight outta Aarhus, Denmark.

The UK's newly inaugurated Future Primitive label holds a candle to its name by unearthing two Leo Anibaldi productions from deep within the Roman's voluminous back catalogue. The two-track 12" debut sees Anibaldi provide the label with a contemporary 'Stretched Edit' of 1994 production "Fusion 1", a cut lifted from the Aeon EP originally released on the now defunct Italian label, ACV. Future Primitive has also given ambient number "Evocation Part II" a full remaster and B-side privileges, honouring an esoteric production from Anibaldi's Void LP that was originally released on Aphex Twin's Rephlex label in 1996.

Zipper is Zemi17's second release on The Bunker New York, and sees him expanding his musical palette considerably, in which his gamelan-derived sound design pushes further out towards the expanses of techno's realm.
Zipper is the product of years of work. "The tracks on this record began as field recordings taken from Indonesia — insect sounds, gamelan, found sounds," says Kuffner. "Each of these tracks comes from a different stage of my music-writing process over the years. I eventually developed a kind of 'sketch and improv' technique, re-arranging groupings and arrangements of a series of elements. Zipper reflects a culmination of this technique, and in my opinion, it's representative of some of my best work."

Opening track 'Molecular Psychology' by Interbrain, duo of Willie Burns (WT Records) and Alessandro Adriani (Mannequin Records), is a 14- minute Electro-Kraut caliche stomper to keep the mosquitoes riled up around the sweat-drenched masses. Instant classic. The Stockholm duo Empfänger (Käften's TowLie and Daniel Isling of Sling and Samo) swarm in with throbbing kick drums, buzzing bass sequences and some meth-crazed psychopath vocals on their Acid Techno track 'Charles.'
Side B opens up with the Cosmic Disco track 'Tsch' by Welsh producer Samoln (Sam Bardsley of Valley Sound Records). This one would fit in superbly on a Baldelli mix with its thumping tropical bongos, dark bassline, and dulcimer melodies.
Closing the record is the epic 'The Terrible Comet Salt' by Idea Fire Company & BRRR. Scott Foust (Swill Radio) and friends team up with Darren Harris (The Shadow Ring) to create a brilliant and strange piece of music. Its seesaw, wind instrument loops and ascending piano waves hypnotize you while Harris orates a bleak and seemingly appropriate tale.

Italian trio Agents Of Time make their Ellum debut with a weighty, two track release. 'Magma' shares remnants of label head Maceo Plex's own formidable style, with compelling synths, punchy claps and a rumbling bassline. 'Obsidian' is finally seeing a release after causing heat from Fur Coat's feature in their BBC Essential Mix a few months ago. As the waning of the final winter moon comes to an end, Chapter 24 enters the world of wax with its first 12-inch release. For this next story in sound, we welcome back Kurt Baggaley, whose wonderful 'Winterland' also receives the attentions of Patlac and Petar Dundov with two immaculate Editions.

The EP has been in the hands of a chosen few since the summer, and has already been played by Âme, Solomun and H.O.S.H. at some of the world's biggest festivals. To be released on vinyl only, this package is one not to be missed.

An artist who lives and breathes electronic music culture, Kurt Baggaley has evolved his productions into a unique and personal sound since his early days as the Electro artist Scape One. Taking in influences from early 80's Chicago House, Detroit Techno and New York Club, with a fusion of Italo Disco, Euro Synth and Electro, his huge Former Self EP on SoHaSo in Spring 2015 was met with widespread acclaim on both digital and physical formats. Supported by the likes of Michael Mayer and Dixon, it was followed up with his debut release on Chapter 24 a few months later, opening the book with his Spiral EP.

Winterland continues this momentum. The title track blows in a cold, enveloping wind of analogue synths and drum machines, swirling around a central arpeggio. Disco, minimal and electro influences are clearly to be heard in what amounts to a unique and compelling piece of electronic music.

Patlac takes the reins for the first Edition. With original releases on liebe*detail and Soulfooled and remixes for Pets Recordings, Noir and Musik Gewinnt Freunde, his music possesses an empathy for time, people and place. Retaining some of the disco influence of the original, this sensitive and thoughtful approach results in an energetic Edition driven by pushing rhythms and deep, powerful grooves, but also with a refined sense of harmony and melody.

The final Edition on the package is a fitting one, from Croatian maestro Petar Dundov, who occupies the flip side. Dundov makes intelligent electronic music that breaks boundaries. His breathtaking take on the original embodies this ethos, hitting home with body twisting beats while also challenging the mind with complex melodies and slow-burning, hypnotic progressions. In his masterful hands, the track takes on life of its own, forever evolving and expanding and increasing in intensity.

With the Winterland EP, Chapter 24 turns the page on its first volume of releases, closing the Aesop's Fables artwork series with a stunning linocut portrayal of 'The Wolf and the Crane' from in-house artist Simon Vaeth. The lessons from Aesop will make way for those of the Tarot, as the Book of Changes continues to shine a light on the wintry path ahead.

After standout EPs on Willie Burns' W.T. Records and Phonica's own label, the mysterious Art Crime is back with a new EP on Creme Organisation. It is a four track affair that continues to showcase the producer's knack for ravey, texturally rich house and techno sounds with a rather haunting edge. 'Anxiety is Always Here' is a high tempo stomper with spooky pads and jangling, energetic melodies that reverberate in a dark night sky. 'The Owner' is rooted on firm kicks and has dark, lo fi atmospheres percolating all around as paranoid stabs and gothic keys rain down from above. 'Renessense' is then a rather more stripped back and groovy, deeper cut with slithering and icy hi hat patterns and sombre bass notes. Still, it retains a trance inducing sense of freakiness before closer 'Intention' close out the EP in lithe, soulful and hi tek techno fashion. This is eerie, freaky late night dancing music that has a strong sense of identity and is only likely to turn yet more people on to the little known Art Crime.

As a kid growing up in the state's tucked-away capital of Springfield, Justin Cudmore played the drums at home and in school as a jazz percussionist. In his college days Justin dove into electronic music, workshopping new-wave influenced beats in bands and DJing parties. Currently, Justin is a fixture across Brooklyn, popping up on dance floors and behind booths. 2015 saw his track, "Feeling,' released on the Denver-based label Deep Club. Crystal' is Cudmore's debut 12' single. Raw, rough and ready to rumble, Crystal' marries snaking acid lines and bouncy grooves to a sample from cult underground film classic 'The Queen'. On the flip is Detroit-bred and Bunker resident DJ Mike Servito's 730 Reshape', that gives the wiggly worm vibe harkening back to the early days of Transmat, Warp and the minimalism of Dan Bell's DBX project. L.I.E.S. mainstay Gunnar Haslam provides his Dekalb Avenue Remix' made while living in New York, a modular synth cruise with the top down. All tracks have been mastered and EQed for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley and labels are as pink as Crystal's lipstick.

"Pulsate" will appeal equally to lovers of dark, melancholic, yet also percussive, sound collages, and fans of spherical, conceptual film music, and will delight enthusiasts of art exhibitions and genre-spanning performances anew. The song "Future" is a collaboration with soul vocalist Sarignia Bonfà.
Eisentanz does not just choose the usual presets and default settings using synthesizers and other electronic instruments, but instead dedicates himself to the time-consuming and challenging path of sound research. He elicits a fascinating and archaic sound from the most diverse materials, whether it's metal, wood, or stone, and thus finds his own interpretation of a timeless yet modern industrial sound. He builds his instruments himself as prototypes made from everyday scrap materials. The variety of noises he is able to produce from scrap iron, barrels, and metal springs is truly spectacular.

Beginning in 1974, based in New Zealand, the sound-performance group From Scratch used an evolving array of percussion instruments to create a distinctive rhythmic music, texturally rich and tonally sumptuous, making use of found and repurposed objects as well as custom-made percussion instruments.
And while the music has a sophisticated, fluid and intelligent polyrhythmic drive, pitched percussion features prominently, using microtunings and just intonation in tightly structured pieces which evolve and mutate, making use of intricate interlocking of melodic and rhythmic elements. Given their Pacific identity, one can find similarities with a number of Asian Pacific musics, their music will appeal to open-eared listeners interested in such musics, and it will also intrigue admirers of the early
work of Steve Reich and Terry Riley. Formed by Phil Dadson on his return to New Zealand following his late-60s involvement in the U.K.
with Cornelius Cardew's Scratch Orchestra, Auckland's From Scratch embraced an egalitarian ethic, focusing on co-operation, integration,
and the union of opposites. These principles are clearly heard in the music here, with all the players interlocking, with the music exploring and exploding the polarities of melody/rhythm, local/global, group/individual, minimal/maximal. These four tracks, ranging from 1974 to 1982 are propulsive and yet serene, percussive and yet
sweetly tonal, and toe-tappingly alert, an immersive and distinctive soundworld. All tracks here are newly remastered from the original
master tapes, "Passage" was their first recording and is previously unissued.

Beneath's Mistry declassifies the debut drop of UK soundboy pressure from Gaunt for public consumption.
The Cambridge-born, Brixton-based producer may be fresh to the game but comes steeled for the rave with four tracks of blunt bass and toiling percussion that sound like they've been at it since '92, wearing down their threads and cogs until they're sufficiently grinding for 2015. The Hessle-favoured drunken master rolige ofCrowd Noise jumps up first with drily functional dynamics, whereas JP trips out to electro-avian chatter and tribal chant socked with gut-punch subs.
Likewise, the lop-sided MMRH is sure to scatter the dance with bullying force but, the electro-filleted triplets of SP12 prove a deft mix of gloomy voices, viscous subs and dub sleight that's cannier than his brutish gestures may first indicate.

For the third release on De:tuned we proudly present The Kosmik Kommando AKA Mike Dred. Mike hardly needs an introduction; considered as one of the masters of the Roland TB-303 Mike has been releasing records under various aliases since the early 90s. He has recorded for high profile labels such as R&S and Rephlex as well as his own Machine Codes label. Together, with Aphex Twin, Mike was behind the Universal Indicator releases which are among the most collectible and sought after records in techno history.

De:tuned has worked closely with Mike to develop an 8 track project that gives props to the American Psychologist Timothy Leary and his proposed theory of 'The Eight-Circuit Model of Consciousness'. This model describes 8 circuits of information that operate within the human nervous system. Each circuit refers to a different sphere of activity, enhanced by experimentation with a particular substance. Each circuit also represents a higher stage of evolution than the one before it and the higher the circuit, the fewer the people have activated it as the higher four circuits exist for those who migrate to outer space and live extraterrestrially.

The 8 Models are applied to the track titles that present a varied collection integrating acid house, techno, electro and rave culture.

3 of the tracks on offer here were written exclusively for Mike's live performance at the De:tuned 'Meeting of Minds' event in June 2012, which was Mike's first full live show in 3 years.

Shit Robot wartet auf seinem dritten Longplayer mit illustren Gästen wir Alexis Taylor und Nancy Whang auf! Markus Lambkin aka Shit Robot präsentiert mit "What Follows" sein neues Album, das am 06.05.2016 via DFA erscheinen wird. Die Anfänge des neuen Werks finden sich einmal mehr in Stuttgart, wo Lambkin lebt. Zusammen mit DFA-Kollege Juan Maclean wurde das Material dann in New Hampshire gemixt. Generell wurde das Album durch viele neue technische Einflüsse und Experimente geprägt, neben Hot Chips' Alexis Taylor befinden sich auch Kollaborationen mit Nancy Whang, Museum Of Love, New Jackson und Jay Green auf "What Follows".

As 2016 rolls through, so does Fossil Archive with its 4th release since its highly acclaimed beginnings in February 2015. With Fossil Archive's previous release featuring as Tune of The Month' on Mixmag's November 2015 Techno Page, this next two-part ensemble sees two very different tracks leave you with little doubt that Fossil Archive remains inspired to be at the forefront of all things techno.
Starting off on the A side, Voiski brings a highly energised, synth-led onslaught on the senses. Completely improvised and recorded during a live show in Paris, 'Calyptraphorus' is driven by a stern groove. This hi-hat wielding, key driven stream of consciousness brings an '80s accent of vigour to any dance floor. Irresistible and loud, this power track of electronic techno is unhinged and original.
Over on to the B side, Roberto completely changes the tonality to a more intense effect on 'Velatus', depicting the multitudinous of feelings moving mind, body and soul. A balance of cryptic melody shadowed by rolling percussion and sandscape soundscapes, this minimalist derived dub-fresh track subtly completes the EP.
All in all, two tracks that will intrigue suitably different crowds and leave everybody smiling. A rewarding release of full range techno, here's to another great year of Fossil Archive.

The latest missive from Aisha Devi's Danse Noire, continues in step with the Swiss label's adventurous spirit adding release to their steadily growing catalog (El Mahdy Jr, Aisha Devi, Vaghe Stelle) operating on the fringes of rhythm-driven sound system musics and transcendental auditory experiences. Their next release comes by way of IVVVO (Public Information, Opal Tapes, Fourth Wave), whose exquisitely scraped up sonic explorations and tape-warped techno/house mutations unfold with intoxicatingly knotty arrangements, queasy atmospheres, and unhurried minor-key motifs that unveil and retreat back into the shadows. IVVVO's latest 'Theories of Anxiety' hisses and haunts - vacillating between head-turning vignettes and peak time moments for the freest of club audiences. The techno stomp of "Fear" snakes it's way through the labyrinthine arrangement and flange-twisted atmospheres. The unhinged "So Much" hobbles towards the finish line crutching broken-sounding Trax-era rhythms, while "Redux" centers around a dark arabesque melody and futuristic tribal drum track. The tilting gauziness of the record's deep centerpiece "Consumed" subtly injects ghostly pitched-up volces into a sea of swells that both soar and growl.

Morphology are Finnish electro duo Matti Turunen and Michael Diekmann. Making a welcome return to CPU, a label where their Detroit influenced electro and stark dystopian melodies are very much at home.

Field Records continues to focus on its first run of solo artists EPs with four tracks from UK pair Szare. Before now this Frozen Border and Horizontal Ground duo has excelled in crafting cavernous bass chambers and off beat rhythms with ease - just as they do here. Riding up and down, skipping left and right and swelling with a sense of post apocalyptic optimism as it goes. This EP is full of fresh ideas, fulsome production and a dark energy that makes it fit perfectly on the most recent end of the hardcore continuum.

Flesh For the Living is HIDE's vinyl debut. This 3-track EP contains 3 soon-to-be anthems. Showcasing top-notch production values, these tracks have a physicality that matches their live show. The title track provides a bracing adrenaline rush that will have listeners on their feet, fists in the air. The remix of that track by WATTS (for American Primitive) slows the pace, evoking a cinematic, dreamlike atmosphere. Limb From Limb' is a sinister side-long stomper that menaces with ethereal vocals, ghostlike percussion and a gut-wrenching low-end hook. Flesh For the Living was mastered by Ruud Lekx and cut by Josh Bonati at Bonati Mastering in New York. It comes housed in a full-color UV gloss jacket featuring retina-burning artwork by renowned sci-fi illustrator and painter, Mark Salwowski with uniform Midwich layout by Beth Hall.

Dirty analog techno from French boss; Crackboy
For his second chapter on Crowdspacer (after releases on Tigersushi, I'm A Cliché, Zone or Fragil), Crackboy, the king of French dirty analog techno, half of POV with label-boss Joakim, digs deeper into that Detroit melanchol-epic vibe with Weapons Of Steel on the A-side before going bonkers on the B-side with 2 naughty stripped-down beat-centric DJ tools for the sweaty late night crowds. Made me think of some Gemini tracks when I first heard it (that's a compliment).

After releasing with Chris Moss Acid on Shipwreck in 2014, Drvg Cvltvre is now back with a full EP of his own on Dutch label COS_MOS.
Since 2009, Vincent Koreman a.k.a. Drvg Cvltvre has been churning out his own acid, no wave and experimental house on labels like Viewlexx and Permanent Vacation and now kicks off the new year in style with three more inventive offerings.

'New Earth Army' is a slow, heavyweight and coarse track with rattling chords, angry percussion and elastic drums that manages to be physical and tough yet groovy and playful at the same time. 'We Have Become The Filth of the Universe' is a big, fat, heavy wedge of slow motion techno with monstrous drums and wild acid lines all spraying about wildly for the duration. It's a warehouse sized track that will reduce the 'floor to a writhing mess and finally 'Possessed' is a sci-fi riddled track with lots of spacey synths, filtered analogue lines and paranoid sirens all making for a turbulent brew of dark and otherworldly energy. Once again here Drvg Cvltvre proves he has a raw sound all his own.

Originally composed for a live performance commissioned by the Quai Branly Museum in Paris, French producer Low Jack was given access to the museums vast music library to use as a basis for this project.
In his research he focused on the Garifuna people of Honduras sampling parts of the music and composing a live set with some of these elements. With no intention to release this performance, the live recording was subsequently brought to the attention of L.I.E.S. Records and resulted in Low Jack returning to the the studio to re-create his set, thus the culmination of this lp. Rhythmic, tense, and hypnotic electronic music that lives in a grey area many are unwilling to step into. Mastered and cut by Matt Colton at Alchemy.

Moderat is the alliance of Berlin's electronic heavyweights, Modeselektor and Apparat. Like very few other artists they manage to fuse rousing basslines and intense breakbeats with gripping songs and a highly individual voice. With "Reminder", the three give a first impression of their anticipated third album. The strikingly beautiful song takes off where their 2014 hit "Bad Kingdom" left off. Developing a very personal combination of modesty and honesty, Apparat takes his vocal style to another level. The lyrics deal with the possibility of a new beginning: Instead of blaming others, we should assume responsibility for our situation. This is a liberating experience, it empowers us to let the debris go up in flames and have them lead the way to new experiences. Modeselektor underpin the beautiful vocals with subtle percussive grooves. As the icing on the cake, gleaming synthesizer sounds immerse the voice fully. With the exclusive track "Fondle" the trio expose a seldom seen side of their music. The slow, heavy groove alternates between a deep Chicago House Sound and hypnotic, drifting Dubstep. As a counterbalance to this deeply felt rhythmical heartbeat Moderat place elegiac, spherical sound scapes, while Apparat drifts off in a remote and dreamy state.

W WINGS are relatively new trio made up by the likes of Lit Internet, Lit Daw and Lit EYNE, who probably all have net art-leaning Tumblrs. W WWINGS come from the ashes of BWW WOYS. Of those three artists, you're most likely to be familiar with the first, whose mixtape/album "Angelysium" came out last year to critical acclaim. Now, they debut with Infinite Machine with a solid grime / experimental EP, or how they like to call it "depressive suicidal black metal music". Comprised by 4 tracks ,including one that features their long time collaborator ENDGAME.

Delsin Records welcomes back Dennis van Gemert aka Area Forty_One for a second EP on the label. It is a second part to the Nocturnal Passions series started back in 2013, and come five years after his first ever release, which was on Ann Aimee in 2011, once again fusing ambient with techno, downtempo and electro.
