Vinyl reissue of Madteo's TTTree Low G. Tapes: Mad Dip Revue, originally issued by The Trilogy Tapes on cassette in 2012. The record will consist of edited down versions of the original tape, with both sides containing some 17 minutes of material remastered by DJ Sotofett of Sex Tags Mania. After highlighting two young french talents for its first releases with Madben and Oniris, Astropolis Records now invites two french techno legends for its third release.

The Driver, techno aka for french rave key figure Manu le Malin and techno veteran Electric Rescue join their forces for a first 12' « the wolves » : A dark fang strike, fierce, beastly.
The encounter of these two french techno activist couldnt have result in anything else than an explosiv termination : two raw and nagging techno tracks blending up both artist proper musical background.

The EP begin with a track called « The Wolves » declined in two versions, dark and biting on the aubervilliers mix, sharp and boiling on the chord mix. The B side features a second track by techno duo The Driver vs Electric Rescue called « La Crytpe », a muggy and stifling techno track that make the link beetween both composer style and a enchanting and captivating housy resivison of « The Wolves » by prolific french composer and remixer Traumer.

Electronic music's Renaissance man Travis Stewart, better known as Machinedrum, brings his Vapor City project to a close with this final chapter in the sprawling epic - Vapor City Archives. Paying close heed to the spirit of the Vapor City community he forged and nurtured, Stewart chose to announce this new record via the global community created when he invited listeners into his personal dream world dubbed 'Vapor City'.

Constructed around his vision of an imaginary city with fully-realized districts, the year-long Vapor City project was founded upon Machinedrum's critically acclaimed album of the same name and supplemented with a worldwide live tour, a string of satellite EPs, remixes and free download drops to subscribers to the Vapor City Citizenship programme. This final installment sees the talismanic producer deliver 10 brand new, exclusive productions alongside fresh artwork from the project's art directors: LuckyMe's Dom Flannigan and Éclair Fifi.

Once again experimenting in soundscapes between footwork ("Safed", "Only 1 Way 2 Know"), hip-hop and jungle/drum&bass ("More Than Friends", "Boxoff") to forge a unique sound that he has come to own, Stewart creates a subtle homage that nods to the past while staying firmly future-facing.

Enchanted by the Cybernetic Broadcasting System (CBS), Robert started DJing as Robot Hustle, joining the Honey Soundsystem collective in 2007

Killekill 017 by Neil Landstrumm is a three tracker with no less than three hits on it. The A-Side is a dark slammer about someone trading his ass for drugs in a new acid / disco / synthwave / techno fusion style with an undisputed Chicago flavour in it. What a hit!
B1 is the result of a collaboration of Neil with Jd Twitch under the name Doubleheart, under which they also released on Nonplus and other labels. 'Outsider music aimed at the dancefloor', as they put it, and that pretty much hits the nail on the head: nice electro beats, a wobbling bass, and all sorts of freaky sounds on top of it, from classic cowbells to whistles, squeaks and other weird stuff. And all this without ever losing the drive to rock the dancefloor.
B2 again was an intial collaboration between Neil and Ralph Cumbers who produces a UK project called 'Bass Clef' and has released some high quality, left of field club productions over the years on the Punk Drunk and Blank Tapes labels. He is also an extremely gifted trombone player and frequently plays this at live shows along with Theremin and bass heavy garagey beat style.. They produced a few tracks together and this one stood out as glam rock/synth wave production. Then Lewis Maccoll alias Operator, who recorded Scandinavia 022, was asked to write song lyrics and sing vocals over the original track. Lewis has a unique layering style of vocal production and his dark story of the deep and passive souls enhanced the song immensely and broadened its appeal to a much wider audience. Its a fresh style electronic style for 2014 very fitting to the alternative Killekill label approach.

Spring 2014 will see Dutch label Dekmantel release the debut full-length album from New Jersey producer, DJ and Inimeg Records boss Joey Anderson. Entitled After Forever, the album is the natural next step for a producer who has turned out plenty of deep and intriguing techno EPs for labels like Latency, Deconstruct Music and Syncrophone over the last couple of years.

Having been championed by the connoisseur likes of Levon Vincent and DJ Qu before the rest of the world cottoned on, Anderson's style has proved to be truly idiosyncratic, where near bottomless techno grooves get run through with haunted piano lines, shadowy synth work or elegant drones. There are barely ever any claps or snares, instead just plenty of deeply hypnotic kicks and plenty of noir tension.

'Every track on the album has its own take on my personality, my mentality musically and my vision of off-dancefloor music,' says Joey. 'I find it very difficult to create something for people just to like. I'd rather pay attention to making them get close to the album and uncover the ideas within it. Being my first LP, it's dedicated to my two daughters, Akatriel and Auset.'

As well as two tracks that were released on Anderson's previous Dekmantel EP, the album offers nine new cuts and kicks off with 'Space Between Curtains'. Haunting, saddened piano keys linger in the air above metallic synth sounds for the emotive duration of the track. Then there's the teary eyed, end-of-the-world yet optimistic vibe of 'Space Colors Ideas'. After that various intimate moods are explored, from heavy and ominous on 'Maidens Response' to celestial and cautiously uplifting on 'Archer's Ceremony' via 'Amp Me Up', which sees Anderson's spacious and atmospheric style suck you in with its weird, gurgling machine noises unravelling above an unchanging drum track.

It's an album that demands and indeed warrants close inspection, and is the sort of work that really transports you deep into another world far away from here. With After Forever, then, Joey Anderson confirms he crafts moody and atmospheric techno like few others.

Voices From The Lake are Donato Dozzy and Neel, a duo that has redefined techno in both the live arena and the album format. Their debut full-length album for Prologue was widely heralded as a masterpiece for the way it displayed an incredible ear for sound design while painting vivid, multi-layered landscapes of slowly unfolding rhythm and texture. When playing live in serene environments like Japan's Labyrinth Festival, the pair explore experimental underwater sounds, African drumming, and minimalism while keeping the dancefloor in motion.

In July of 2012, Voices From The Lake came from Rome to Brooklyn to present a special night of music at The Bunker in the back room of Public Assembly. This was one of the greatest nights of music in the history of The Bunker. Their tremendous sixhour set consisted of two separate live sets, and back-to-back DJ sets. None of the music from the either of the hour-long live sets had been released, so we immediately got on them about their plans for the tracks. We agreed on our favorite segments, and they produced live studio tracks based on those excerpts. A few Voices From The Lake tracks have come out since the album, but this is their first full release since 2012.

If Kowloon and Raw Missions were them early warning signs of a resurgence in experimental 130 140bpm electronica, Bloom's 2012 breakthrough Quartz was the spark that lit the touchpaper. A deranged four-minute cacophony of sirens, gunshots and squarewaves, it was a thrilling and timely reminder of how much potential
remained untapped in instrumental grime - and launched Bloom into several
year-end charts.

2013's follow-up Maze Temple EP arrived on Lost Codes to great acclaim - taking the hard-nosed Quartz template and bending it into three new club-ready forms. Rinse FM and Fabric appearances followed, as did a riotous FACT mix that ended up in their top 15 of the year. His sole remix to date - Toyc's Keyframe - lurched even deeper into the realms of dancefloor lunacy, becoming a set staple for Slackk, Brackles and Blackdown. A new Gage re-edit popped up in Slackk's recent RA mix. The term 'game changer' is overused to the point of futility in 2014 but Bloom is one of the few producers to whom it genuinely applies. The small amount of material he's released is regarded as standout, scene-shaping work. Bloom's status as a major influencer has only grown in his absence - along with feverish anticipation for new material.

At last cv313's magnum opus comes to life on wax. The album is engineered and mixed down from 1/4" analog tape, and mastered by the talented fellas at Alchemy Mastering in London; focusing and enriching every finite detail. This LP edition features never before heard songs emitted from the CD and made exclusively for the LP edition.

Producer and boss of Mathematics records, Jamal Moss a.k.a Hieroglyphic Being is a one-off musical explorer. Jamal's music takes cues from the EBM and House that played a huge part in the city's musical underground in the late eighties and early nineties, notably Ron Hardy and Adonis, but also Industrial, Avant-Jazz and Noise. His tireless schedule of rough low-key releases over the last 12 years and his intense, very physical, psychedelic music, have made him a key exponent or maybe even a pioneer of what's recently come to be named 'Outsider House', although he prefers the more Sun-Ra like descriptors of 'Rhythmic Cubism' and 'Cosmic Be-Bop'.

His releases, much like his music, have straddled House labels and the more leftfield avant garde electronic imprints with ease. However his deeply held Afrofuturist intent and the discipline of his radical designs set him apart from the pack. Always moving forward, his music is an ever-evolving transmission from his mind to our bodies, or as he sees it, a form of meditation that the supple, tuned listener will enjoy immensely. 'The Seer Of Cosmic Visions' is a collection of tracks from his back catalogue that have been selected to make this album. Remastered by Michael Kuhn at Berlin's Dubplates and Mastering. The album is hugely varied within it's basic drum machine and synths template; from the psychedelic blowout 'The Seer Of Cosmic Visions' and the distorted, ruptured crunch of 'How Wet Is Ur Box', to more delicate meditations like 'Space Is The Place' or 'Letters From The Edge'. From the the shimmering rhythmic noise of 'A Genre Sonique' to the the woozy tribal funk of '134340 Pluto' or the rough darting strings of the off-kilter 'Calling Planet Earth' and finishing on the relaxing gaseous drones of 'Strange Signs In The Sky', the album never fails to transport the listener to another state of mind.

Good job 030303 got their hands on these six tracks by Rolando Simmons as they remind you of where acid got its name from: this is music to trip to. The 303 is abused to the fullest while Simmons adds snares and outlandish melodies to the acid bubbles and bleeps that are never far away. Opener Acid Marriage is a mid-tempo, melancholic soundtrack for ravers who can't be sure of anything except they've lost the plot on the dance floor. The more downbeat second track consists of washed out melodies and deformed vocals and is unlikely to bring you back on planet earth. As you expect from a song entitled 'Home Alone 4', this one's to come down on. Montignac continues on the same tip while adding some quirkiness to. Dim, then, is a true highlight; with its driving beat, crisp hi-hats and playful acid bubbles, the track goes well with the image of a dwarf bouncing around on a horse that's way to big for his own good. The EP's final is Garden Diodes, a forceful upbeat track that pulls you right back into that creepy trip.

2014 has been a slow year for Sequencias in terms of releases. Most of our energy has been spent towards the development of different projects, like our new webstore, that has become an outlet for us to share some of the records that influence the way we do things. So, with the wax offering slowing to a mere trickle, who better to entrust with our sole release for the rest of the calendar year dcantu, of course.

Cantu's electro-heavy sound is fleshed out here and while still lean enough for dance floors, it makes bolder moves into atmospheric and melodic territory. The A side, "Some Kind Of Strange...," begins with long synth strains before one of his signature overdriven drum workouts immediately punches through the lush spectral melody. Cantu runs through the patterns on his 808, weaving a sort of broken beat track that cruises through acidic space time. On the flipside you're treated to the electro/freestyle jam, "A Space Age Function." There aren't many surprises here nor is there any need for them: just pure and grimy electro joy...right down to the pitched down vocal sample and octave-hopping bassline. "September," the beatless coda, is an echo from a childhood spent in dark cinemas with the sounds of Carpenter and Howarth. Tinkling FM bells dot the layers of rich ethereal pads and you can practically hear the clattering of the projector somewhere behind you in the dark.

Also, you probably noticed the changes on our artwork direction. We have made the conscious decision of going with a classic look for the upcoming series of releases. Nonetheless, expect some curveballs during the process.

Opener 'Mountain Divide' hits the listener with a epic blitzkrieg of bass, juddering noise, and howling, subterranean feedback, cut through with fizzing drums, to tremendous atmospheric effect: "Like screaming into the wind on the top of a mountain" in the words of the boys themselves.



'Mathfall' is a sinuous groover, built around a lolloping bass sequence, grime infused beats, sinister chords and vocal chatter. 'Mon La' rounds out the release in a more introspective mood, heartbreaking pitch bent chords wash together like Boards Of Canada heard through a broken tube-radio.



Their intricate, yet muscular soundscapes and skittering percussion have an epic, alien quality that set them head and shoulders above their less ambitious peers. Having a background in punk, metal and broken beat as well as noise and techno helps give Lakker their truly unique and uncompromising sound.

With his first two singles for Phantasy, 'Mouth' and 'Giudecca', Ghost Culture emerged from the shadows with a beautifully elusive sound - Winning plaudits from the likes of Pitchfork, The Guardian and more, they marked out London's Ghost Culture as one to watch, a hype most definitely consolidated with new single 'Arms.'

'Arms' is its own breed of electronic songwriting: a low, malevolent thrum emanating from serpentine grooves and whispered vocals, it's a record that moves entirely at its own pace, creating an atmosphere heavy with tension and mystery. The flipside 'Understand' is born from a dusty corner of the nightclub, relentlessly growing in intensity throughout, it surrounds the dancefloor in a beautiful techno sprawl. This single, along with the forthcoming debut album released later this autumn, was co-produced and mixed with Erol Alkan between studios in two quiet corners of the city. Medical Records is beyond elated to finally present to the world the first official reintroduction and reissue of the iconic IKO "83" LP. This coveted album by minimal synth aficionados around the globe has been out of print and very rare since it's original release in 1982. Hailing from Montreal, Canada, IKO has always been shrouded in mystery. All 3 members come from an academic background (electroacoustic composition, etc), and they met at the University of Montreal in the music department. Taking from their collective influences of 60's pop, prog and minimalist composers as well as early industrial, they played in a few early bands before solidifying the all-synth incarnation of IKO in it's definitive lineup. The LP was originally released on Manhattan Formula. Other than Rational Youth, the Montreal synth scene was small, and the band broke up not too long after it's release. Over the years, it has slowly achieved cult status of the highest order and now fetches inflated collector's prices on the open market. It even prompted an unauthorized bootleg LP a few years ago (of much inferior sound quality). The master for this very special reissue is transferred and EQ'ed from the master analog tapes. The opening track "Approach On Tokyo" sets the mood with it's electro hooks and almost "Trans-Europe Express" synth parts. "Gonadotropic Synthesis" is an amazing slow and beautiful synthy melodic number which blurs the lines between love song and a lecture on hormonal interplay out of a medical textbook". "Digital Delight" is a fast paced dance floor favorite with cyborg lyrics and catchy hooks. The LP contains one never before heard bonus track "Jungle City" which is a bit of a more ominous and dark track as compared to the other album tracks. This LP will appeal to the legions of people who have been patiently waiting for an official reissue as well as the un-initiated fans of classic synth pop, Kraftwerk, early Human League and the like. ark Fell and Mat Steel formed SND in Sheffield in 1998. Tplay was their first self-released EP, produced in a
limited run and housed in a sleeve adorned with nothing but a stamped phone number on the back.
SND's palette and minimalist aesthetic more or less fell inline with the emergent school of producers that
would eventually find themselves as labelmates on the Mille Plateaux label and the monolithic Raster Noton
(Ikeda, Pan Sonic, Alva Noto, Bretschneider) - but as opposed to the intricacies and overly-academic
strictures that would occupy so many of their contemporaries over the following decade, in hindsight it's
easy to identify how SND uniquely managed to re-code the swing & shuffle of UK Garage and Two-Step
within a new minimalist paradigm.
Although producers such as G-Man, Sterac, Jeff Mills and Rob Hood had been stripping bare Techno templates
since the early 90's, it wasn't until later in the decade that dots where joined between movements in Techno
and experimental electronic music. This was mostly a serious and contemplative movement - typified by
the fetishisation of abstract forms on the one hand, and rigid, Teutonic movement on the other. But with the release of Tplay SND had created a sound that was unlike anything else made at the time. Although they were guided by minimalist principles, their productions were also driven by the momentum of a much more colourful type of urban music. Simply put - there was no one else bridging gaps between the austere functions of European electronic music and London's emergent two-step sound. Truth is - if you bought Ryoji Ikeda albums you were unlikely to have thought much of Artful Dodger - and yet SND made music that drew influence and parallels from both. Listening over 15 years later, it's startling just how fresh and forward these productions sound, now bolstered by over 30 minutes of previously unheard recordings taken from the same sessions. At a time when some corners of club music are arguably more accepting than ever before of strange and challenging production styles, its incredible just how unique and inimitable SND's sound still is, taking us full circle to current producers like Visionist, Mumdance and Rabit who look to challenge dancefloor conventions by using the same principle of reduction and innovation without neglecting the dance

The on-going celebration of Delsin reaching 100 releases continues here with the 4th in the series of 100DSR releases. Featuring key label friends Redshape, D5 and Area Forty_One, it's another compelling package.
First up is the famous masked one with a track specially made to celebrate the centenary. Fittingly it is entitled '100 (Classic Mix)' and finds him in a doleful mood, layering sad synth motifs of a hubbub of nicely crushed drums and scurrying percussion. Sad but optimistic, uplifting but heavy-hearted, it's a quintessential Redshape track that manages to be industrial and romantic at exactly the same time.

Next up is D5, who has basically only ever released on Delsin since emerging in 2001. It's be a few years since his last EP, but this new track makes the wait worth while: 'Stem Cell' is a light-footed, harmonically enriched bit of house that has large opens spaces glowing golden white as paddy kicks keep busy below. A blissful but purposeful track, the final offering comes from sometime Ann Aimee producer Area Forty_One, who offers the dynamic and juddering bit of deep techno that is 'Supervoid'.

And so we present a second record from our NY via San Francisco family, a blossoming talent, Austin Cesear. Primed and fresh from a 12" on Anthony Naples' Proibito label and an Opal Tapes cassette, he surfaces again over a year on from his widely revered Cruise Forever LP - welcome to West Side.

Heavily inspired by the dockside location of Oakland Port, CA. This is Austin Cesear beside black water in the darkest hours, white sodium light bouncing across the surf. Searching across the bay, industry stands proud in the early morning haze. Cargo, containers, machines. Cranes pierce the sky, gulls scream, motors grind - the rush and roar of a new working day in his ears.

Back in the studio these sounds, these sights manifest. Track One - La Paloma, the liquid blue dawn, loops into the horizon. Whilst track two - Ain't It So (Necessary) becomes a twitchy techno shuffle that soon breaks down into the disused mechanic sludge of Cloven Hoov. Easy Bend is then a lesson in the sublime. A machine rhythm in mourning, an aching drone, the soundtrack to ships rolling out of the Bay, toward new worlds. Then the growl of Samareda... a storm of insects hammering against a kick-thump that grows and grows before a shower of voices sweeten the mood to take us home in a blaze of light. Stunning tackle. Bee Free (Warlick Mix) is the endgame - a rugged swagger of moody bump n' beat. The funkiest thing on here.

And so we leave Oakland, we leave Austin Cesear... until next time. This young producer is steadily becoming a mature soul, an exceptional sound, a moment of calm in an ever breathless, over crowded market.

ZZ Top and Muddy Waters vinyl sitting in a corner in front of a gleaming guitar and an old amplifier. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Arnaud Rebotini's lair in Montmartre, Paris.
A hulk of a man, Rebotini may look physically impressive but inside he's really a big softy who loves singing the blues and has an almost carnal attachment to his keyboards and vintage drum machines. His musical career is now divided between two projects: one uses his own name, Arnaud Rebotini, releasing instrumental electronic albums, both nostalgic and futurist, that he plays live on stage - alone - surrounded by his favourite machines. The other is Black Strobe, where he sings and plays a steamy mix of rock and electronic music heavily influenced by blues and country 'n' western. The project comes to life fully on stage with the energy of a four-person group. In September 2014, Black Strobe will release his second album, Godforsaken Roads. The record confirms Rebotini's rock sensibility and debt to the great American tradition of songwriting, with songs touching on the classic themes of the blues - the randomness of life, the very weight of existence and the strong emotions that run just below the surface (love, lust, loneliness...). He plunges into this world of the bayou, prison and the devil with real passion and the voice of crooner often compared to Iggy Pop or Nick Cave.
Godforsaken Roads contains ten new tracks, including the latest singles Going Back Home and Broken Phone Blues. The digital edition adds Boogie In Zero Gravity and The Girl From The Bayou released as singles in 2012. On the album, Rebotini also reappropriates Folsom Prison Blues, a Johnny Cash classic, once again with the aim of keeping the blues/country 'n' western flame alive (the group's first album already contained a cover version of Bo Diddley's famous track I'm A Man). This new version, entirely synth-led with not a guitar in sight, transports the song to another spacetime continuum with swathes of keyboard worthy of Tangerine Dream, perfectly resuming the spirit of Black Strobe in 2014. However, don't think that Godforsaken Roads is all retro - in fact it's bang up to date, using electronics, sometimes even of a disco slant, to give Black Strobe its futurist dimension. The album allows Arnaud Rebotini to capture the spirit of America's cowboy era and transport it to the present day with resolutely modern production, much like the spirit of the blues that seeps from the music of electro-pop idols Depeche Mode. This contemporary western feel, both melancholic and polished, came to the notice of Quentin Tarantino - who used Black Strobe's cover version of I'm A Man for the trailer of Django Unchained - and Dior, who chose the same track to advertise their perfume Eau Sauvage. By creating a link
between the past, present and future, the group's music has also appealed to Martin Scorsese (the trailer of The Wolf of Wall Street), Guy Ritchie (the soundtrack to RocknRolla) and the creators of the videogame Grand Theft Auto V (GTA). With this new album, layered and feverish, the group is back with renewed faith in the power of the blues and a passion for motivating beats.

The focal rhythmic element is achieved with programmed pitched sounds via FM, Physical Modeling and Additive synthesis methods in a modular environment. These aural components that withstand spectral and formant filters, as well as other signal processing units, form harmonies and melodies that interchangeably act as the structural groove. The outcome is occasionally polyrhythmic aiming for a Common-time feel and vice versa. Interwoven patterns and complex ornaments within a pliant grid form a diametric functionality of loop-based trance-inducing music, and require active listening.
This is a paradoxical ode to Noise and Techno progressing further.

Bio:

Ata Ebtekar aka Sote (b. Hamburg, Germany) is an electronic music composer and sound artist based in Tehran, Iran.
His music has been published by various companies, such as Warp Records, Sub Rosa, Digitalis, Sonic Arts Network plus others.
Global cultural exposure through transmigration has been a significant stimulant for his aesthetics. Sote's goal is to create unique and timeless pieces of music that are not available anywhere except in his mind.

His compositions and multi-channel installations are sonic tales synchronously decoding and regenerating customary pattern of thought in nature; aural designs of crisis and harmony where contempo aligns with folklore, orchestrating an artificial saga with a variety of illuminations and analyses. His passion for all music especially, all forms of electronic music, and his extensive involvement in the sound art academia world, has led him to compose in a wide variety of musical styles with a strong emphasis in electro-acoustic techniques, microtonal systems and polyrhythmic motifs.
He has a firm conviction that rules and formulas must be deconstructed and rethought; hence he alters musical modal codes from their original tonality and rhythm (tradition) to achieve vivid synthetic soundscapes.

In order to accomplish dynamic expression on electronics, gesture and texture, he employs various synthesis languages and dsp techniques in a modular sound environment.

Ata 'Sote' Ebtekar believes that music is a cultural habit of sound and anti-sound (silence). Therefore, he generates music without a specific culture, which he believes to be "the other sound."

Austrian musician and producer Dorian Concept presents his singular musical vision in its most widescreen form to date via Ninja Tune. His second album, 'Joined Ends', is the biggest, boldest work of his career and a sheer, technicolour audible joy.

Function and Vatican Shadow have combined forces on 'Games Have Rules' for Hospital Productions, simultaneously stripping back each producer's more prevalent production elements - the dancefloor-focused techno structures of Function; the experimental cassette-roots of Vatican Shadow - to create an album of dynamic electronic ambient music, equal parts rhythmic and atmospheric.

VINYL COMES IN A LIMITED GATEFOLD SLEEVE AND NON-RETURNABLE

As befitting what began life as an 'emotional acid' album best suited for an after-hours home listening experience, Games Have Rules was created in the early hours at New York's Hospital Productions and Berlin's Inanimate Objects studios, helping imbue the record with a sense of night turning into day, and the shifting contrasts of dark and light the music evokes.

Although not created as the result of improvisation the album retains an effortless, free-flowing structure, while simultaneously introducing the traditional techno drum kit over the course of the record, deconstructing the ever-changing, looming presence of New York City's skyline.

Ambient in the most traditional sense, Games Have Rules omits the top-heavy reverb saturation of so many modern releases and builds from the ground up with an arsenal hi-fi and lo-fi production techniques/equipment with a cinematic sequence over the arc of the record. But whereas New York City has so often been depicted in film as a prison, Games Have Rules is an embracement of the city's endless possibilities: the LP's gatefold black and white image of The Empire State Building lit up at night from the inside; the ongoing stories of rise and decline lived out at it's base.

Following on from this year's Enma, shadowy producer Nomine's latest 12 for Tempa gathers three more of his hypnotic sound system tracks, brimming with fragmentary melodies and subliminal detail, honed for immersion on the dancefloor. Drawing upon his love of dubstep, dub and experimental music, Nomine's tracks carve out vast spaces for mind and body to wander through.

Lead track 'Nomine's Chant' is his most meditative transmission to date; its vocal mantra drifts gracefully through open space, coasting through a landscape pockmarked with sub-bass pulses and clouds of reverb.

The bamboo flutes of peak-time roller 'Ninjah' echo eerily outwards into the void. These brief hints of calm heighten the tension, before earthquake rumbles of percussion and warping bass explode into life, dragging the floor along with them.

The EP is rounded out with 'Syncopator', a deftly swung club track that finds Nomine dropping the pace to find an atmospheric mid-point between two-step and techno. Opening up that extra space within the groove paradoxically ups the energy, making for one of his sleekest and most compulsive tracks to date.

Directly from downtown Milan here's the debut release of FLTR records. Based in the Navigli Area, FLTRs aim is to discover new and uncompromising sounds from the italian electronic scene. Sigmatibet - The Great Scapes ep.1 a Journey into the deepest side of electronic sounds, performed by one of the most seasoned italian electronic producers, Sigmatibet (Paolo Gozzetti), who delivers sounds since 1992. Mixed on a Thermionic Valve System to provide a dense and creamy sound, Sigmatibet environment suggests ambient dub sonorities and oblique beats that melt into clubbing echoes and urban impressions, for a deep atmosphere and a liquid darkness. To be released in Limited 12" Vinyl format.

The next Bleep release comes in the form of Spaces' debut EP, 'One' '- rhe debut EP from the hugely talented new-comer Spaces.

Showcasing a wide range of styles and production talent, the EP opens with the frantic rush of beats and hushed voices of 'Apologies' before a reese-like bassline slices through the mix, coming across like a darkside SND remix. Next up is 'Outside In' bridging the gap between EDMX style electro-funk & Gescom-style glitch. On the flip we are presented with 'Lever', a broken techno track of the highest calibre, chopped snares and a off-kilter acid line whipped together to devastating effect while the EP's coda, 'In Wait' combines a kaleidoscope of beats transported through an ambient techno mainframe before fading into oblivion.

Sounding like no other, this new artist makes his mark with clean rhythmic programming set against dirty compressed textures. The first in a series of releases; expect to hear a lot more from Spaces.

12" sampler from awesome Clouds-curated compilation of hardcore Scottish hooligan techno.

Heir apparent to the UK techno throne, Clouds have been gaining credibility with each release. With their LP Ghost Systems Rave, 12"s on Fifth Wall and Soma, and their latest Tannhauser Acid Works EP, they've reached beyond the warehouse and into the wild apocalyptic rubble of po-mo UK hardcore.

Their lead track Blood Skating is an industrial blitz of terror-beats, laced with a haunting, Aphex-grade vocal pad. It sets the tone for this incredible release, which they've A&R'd out of thin air, apparently from their mates in Dundee, Perth, and the surrounding mud-lands.

The 12" sampler features DJ Hesburger's 'Roll Up Your Sleeves, Welcome to the Dance,' an awesome slice of overdriven acid electro that sounds like MPIA3 on MDMA. Jane 'Fuck Your Alliance' is proper mental brain dance, while Dance Company's 'Berzerkerz' sounds like an unearthed hardcore anthem from 92.

Dan Physics came up in the ranks of the early 90s Midwest & NYC dance underground, when record shops still existed and the club scene was still diverse and vibrant. Working at Sonic Groove Records alongside Adam-X and Frankie Bones, through the years Dan had gained an encyclopedic knowledge of house, techno, industrial music and many genres in between.

What we have here is a document from his past recording archives which demonstrates his studio expertise and is an impressive take of high bpm, yet melodic techno. At points reminding us of Walt J at other junctures more tripped out, this will not be the last time we hear from Dan.

Mit Veröffentlichungen auf Cristian Vogel´s Mosquito, Tresor Records, als Labelchef von Persona und als Live Act hat sich Stewart Walker seit den 90ern einen Namen auf dem Dancefloor gemacht. Nach einer kreativen Pause meldet sich der schon lange in Berlin lebende Musiker nun mit einem Konzeptalbum zurück, dem die EP "Accidental Still Life" im Mai diesen Jahres vorausgeschickt wurde. R&S are proud to introduce hugely talented new signing Alma Construct, AKA 19 year old Josh Thompson to the world for his debut self-titled EP.From the throbbing bounce of Balearic opener 'On The Edge, Surrounded With The Shores Of Assudrey' to the menacing hum and snarl of 'Deer Drink From The River' it's clear that Alma Construct music is wildly ambitious and expressive.
Taking inspiration from La Planète Sauvage a 70s stop-motion science fiction allegory by René Laloux, his music conjures up fantastical visions through caustic timbres and enigmatic melodies - on the flip 'Imagine Them's industrial beats, strobing synths and hypnotic BoC bass melody give way to Dialectic A and B - a pair of trippy, hallucinogenic audio workouts.
Thompson utilises an array of beatboxes, samplers, tape machines and guitar pedals to assemble his warm, immersive sound taking as much inspiration from his fascination with film and art as his obvious love for music. There's an array of styles on this debut EP and an obvious deft skill behind the machines that point to Alma Construct joining the ranks of some of the finest young producers in the UK.

Prostitutes - aka Cleveland, Ohio marauder James Donadio - flexes a whole new set of muscles on Nouveauree, his first work for Night School.
Sticking to an all-analogue machinebased strategy, Donadio has warped and stripped his palette to create a juddering force majeure across 5 tracks and 28 minutes of power play.

With previous work on labels such as Mira and Spectrum Spools, Prostitutes has deconstructed Techno forms and re-invigorated 4/4 structures to delirious, often a psychedelic effect. Nouveauree can be viewed as a purge, a palette cleanser, a slab re-formed white-noise, bass-heavy kick drums and searing, improbable sampling.
Mastered by James Plotkin and cut by Matt Colton, each sound and bar is perfectly placed for maximum stereo-field contamination.

Opening stomper 'Late To Take It Light' merges echoing, obfuscated sound with a doom-laden kick before collapsing into an analogue, almost-improvised climax. 'Hate's
In The City' ups the tempo with masterful, bass-heavy rhythm and faded static bursts before 'Punk In The Street' jumps in, quite possibly the most audacious track of Prostitutes' career. A definite highlight, the track is infected with a deeply offensive horn sample that does battle with a rumbling, deafening drum machine, a battle that is decided with one of the most extreme 15 seconds waxed this year. Side 2 allows Donadio some breathing space, with 'Dragged It Home To Bed' reveling in a more rolling rhythm punctuated with lush frequencies and expert filtering. 'So Goddamn Gaunt' rounds off Nouveauree, a harking back to the classic Prostitutes sound, claustrophobic samples interspersing the tight, natural funk that Donadio has made his own.

After a series of experimental electronics, Emotional Response welcomes the return of William Burnett alongside fellow Brooklyn cohort Jon Beall with a EP of pure, unadulterated house and techno that should surprise followers of the label. With a debut appearance in auspicious company on Gerd Janson's Music For Autobahns compilation for Rush Hour last year, followed shortly after by an EP on the L.I.E.S white label series, the next move these Brooklyn based, studio sharing producers made together was always going to be of considerable interest. Having carved out their own unique spaces in an increasingly packed electronic gravy train, WT Records boss William Burnett aka Willie Burns / Black Deer, working alongside friend Jon Beall - more widely known as the elusive Entro Senestre - really push the boundaries across all 4 cuts. From the start, the variation from the almost brutal, no holds barred, slam of Snake Charmer is then contrasted with the deep techno throb of Take Me To Your Leader. It the EPs namesake though that caught the label's ear and pointed in a direction all protagonists want to explore. 4/4 kick and key stabs begin before a rattling breakbeat propels the track back to the fields of Buckinghamshire to the early proto-days of Rage, mixing a dash of "intelligence' era Warp before being pulled back with a genius subsonic touch of piano for the finale - a hark to hands in the air past. To end, a return to introspection, with the codeine dose of Hold Me Take Me Leave Me and it's forlorn call of keys, vocal snipes and crashing snare. Overall, an EP that accepts what has gone before but is very much looking to the future.

With two years of solid output behind them, Sheffield label CPU has established itself as a binary science lab that delivers precision electro time after time. This continues with the welcome return of Cygnus - Tesseractar is the electro world killer he has always threatened to make. Following on from his 2012 album Newmark Phase (the inaugural release on CPU), Cygnus presents a collection of sci-fi / video game influenced soundscapes and melodies with a healthy dose of the Roland TR-808.Heads up drexciyan researchers.

CWS (pronounced ''Classicworks'') is the new brainchild of Cardopusher and Nehuen, and their debut release for Barcelona imprint Struments Records presenting their first explosive statement as a formulated duo. Already notorious on the international club circuit for their own innovative productions, as well as the forward thinking curation of their own label (also named Classicworks), ''Untitled EP'' sees them experiment with new forms of production and creation. These four tracks of raw, analogue fetishized techno draw you out of this world and into an acid drenched bunker in outer space, with rhythms and synthesis drawn exclusively from analog gear. The A side showcases two very blunted electronic jams - beginning with the overdriven synth and drum layers of ''Untitled 01'', and rounding off with the tape saturated, funky yet introspective electro jam of ''I''. The B Side sees things set off into hypergear; 'Untitled 02' ignites the dancefloor with its relentless kick and hard, acid-inspired bassline. The EP is topped off beautifully with a remix by Rephlex Records electro superhero and Breakin Records boss DMX Krew, flipping the forward drive of 'Untitled02' into a staccato old skool electro breakdance, drenched in sinister pads and block-rattling orchestra stabs. An absolute essential for the DJ crates worldwide.

Under the moniker Pagan Sector, two mysterious grandmasters of electronic music collaborated, resulting in this depraved love child. Hermopolis Magna is the first born (release) from Amsterdam based Knekelhuis..... Limited supplies.

'Heal' is 21 year-old AxxoN N's 4 year labour of love, a mind bending debut album with each track addressing and coming to terms with states of depression and anxiety.
Sourced almost entirely by samples, it's a enlightening work that is virtually impossible to categorise, perhaps a distant bastard cousin of Autechre and the more fluid experiments of Kraftwerk around the time of Radio Activity. This music is painted out of a deep blue and grey canvas where darkness is omnipresent, but as the music unravels it becomes ever more unpredictable, with bright flashes of melody jumping out of the dense landscape.

Hinz & Ruhmhardt come out of the gate full speed on their first EP with Doch. A grinding and relentless kick drum, hi-hat and snare combo that no doubt hypnotizes even the most relenting soul. Those merits alone can command a dance floor but, combined with a single organ line that is equal parts villainous, psychedelic, and beautiful while being perfectly constructed with a masters knowledge in the art of tension and suspense, they have conceived a magnum opus of grand proportions. An aural field fusing the finest elements of both heaven and hell.

Panther:
This journey gets straight to the point with the title alone. Just as approaching prey covered by the darkness of night, the snarling synth slowly lurks closer while the loop of hypnotic tones and pulsing drums keep the mark focused and unwitting of its true motive. When it finally shows its teeth, freedom is long gone. Panther has sunk in and forgets any intention of surrender. Wave the white flag. It's an exquisite feeling to be eaten alive.
